Jack wasn’t a boy, he was a grown man. His first thought was to contradict this sexy, deep-voiced man. But when he swirled around to meet this man’s face, he was greeted with a tall, blond. His jaw was a perfect V, and he stood there with his hip cocked sideways in a casual stance as if there weren't 30 people dying behind him.

Jack wasn’t sure how long they stood staring at each other, or if Jordie was even still there, but his head was finally clear.

BREAKING: Trump hypes pot brownies as “a promising cure to the virus”

In his latest press briefing, President Trump brought up the latest in the search for a Wuhan Lab Communist Virus cure: marijuana.

“Our administration has made a great discovery today, one of the greatest. And it tastes good. I have a hunch it cures the virus. People like it. They say it has made them feel better, like they were basically cured. It’s great. A big achievement.” When a Fake News reporter asked him if he was prescribed the treatment, he responded, “I discussed with him, a great man, and he said it was the best. It would make me feel really great. And I respect him, he’s a respectable man. He’s great.”

He refused to comment on who he was referring to. Our reporter asked if he recommended that others take marijuana as well. He replied,

“It’s great. It makes me really good. And happy. I feel great. I think everyone should, they should look into trying some of this cure. It seems to work, I’ve been told. I feel great. I use it in food, helps it go down easier. You can cook it in brownies. Have you heard of that, Doctor? It’s in brownies. You can, it can be cooked. It’s great. The best cure. I think everyone should be looking into taking it.”

To gather more information on this new discovery, we spoke to a chiropractor, Micheal Rhoads.

“I think it’s very promising. The President has been doing some thorough research, and it seems to be quite effective. There are some side effects, yes, but it still appears to help people. Several people have reported improved symptoms to disease, and it’s a good thing to look into. I think our President is doing a great job, and I hope we will have less interference by the Democrats. They keep attacking the President’s cures. He’s trying to save the country. He’s doing a great job. I have a medical degree, so I should know.”

Most recently, some labs are investigating the effectiveness of this new treatment when combined with some other drugs, methamphetamine and crack cocaine. We hope to see some positive results from the study and expect a vaccine in the coming weeks.

I felt so blessed earlier today to meet so many people who genuinely wanted to help me in a time of need, while facing adversity from the one person I knew could help me.

My back injury got worse last night. I'd taken my prescribed muscle relaxant, and I was texting my boyfriend over the edge of the bed with a pillow under my belly when I had to sneeze. It felt TERRIBLE for a couple minutes, but with a small adjustment of the heating pad, I felt better than I've felt in a month! I thought I was on my way to recovery.

Then the muscle relaxant wore off after half an hour of being at work. I had felt so good that I forgot to take my daytime Naproxine prescription or turn the heating pad on. It was crippling o.o I stuck it out for a couple more hours before I called my doctor begging to switch my prescription to something more heavy duty than Naproxine, that could be taken during the daytime.

I was bawling my eyes out, wincing at the pain that the huffs I made caused, when one of my coworkers noticed me and grabbed my mom. After a few minutes of very long, hard hugging to release the serotonin in my system and stop the crying, my mom helped me back inside.

Upon arrival to my desk, my boss informed me that it was time to go home. I was no longer welcome to work until I was properly healed. In came my coworker who swooped in for a second time to save me, “Do you need a referral for an acupuncturist or chiropractor?” Honestly, I'd been in so much pain, I couldn't even think of helpful alternative words like, “acupuncture,” and I was in so much pain, I would try just about anything reasonable to make it to away. I wasn't convinced yet, but she offered the name and phone number and sent me on my way.

To get home, I called a Lyft, and my driver immediately asked me what was wrong. As it turns out, he has personal experience with the slow leveled step into a car that is a trademark of lower back pain. By the time I got out of the car, I had another number in hand: the marijuana dispensary he used to work for.

Getting home, I got a call back from my doctor's office. Unwilling to budge, her assistant cited her lack of interest in ever prescribing a narcotic. I hung up the phone, and immediately called urgent care and verified that they, in fact, did not share the same beliefs toward narcotic pain relievers under the right circumstances. Getting an affirmative answer, I asked for the wait time, and the receptionist told me it would be an hour to hour and a half, but then asked me to hold the phone. When she got back on, an emergency had occurred, and the wait time was, now, 3 to 3 and a half hours. I thanked her and checked my voicemail.

Low and behold the acupuncturist was returning my call, and could squeeze my in last minute before taking off for the weekend to Washington. My landlord also got back to me, allowing me to borrow his jacuzzi for a bit to take the weight off my back. With an hour to kill, I did just that!

Finally, at the accupuncturists office, I found a man willing and ready to listen to my aches and pains, sort out a priority, and aim for a goal. 2 hours later I could walk upright with little to no pain in my back, relaxed, and renewed.

My dad picked me up and offered to take me to an astrophysics documentary, but started explaining the placebo effect and dragging me out of the necessary head space go not focus right back in on where the pain would have been. Iiiiii opted to get another Lyft home, just in time to be offered one of my landlord's pot brownies, specially designed to take away pain and relieve stress.

Wow! What a relief! I have a tack in my ear, keeping the pain stabilized for the next 3 days, 3 days to decompress, access to a jacuzzi and orders to take it easy for the next week. Some days just turn out lucky. I am so grateful to be surrounded by so many people who are ready and willing to help turn things around in my moment of need.

making our way to colorado

as we patiently wait for the east coast to catch up to the west in terms of its marijuana laws, we’re (the boy and i) interested in learning how other states have managed to have recreational cannabis laws without the drug related consequences that our parents taught us come with the use of weed. the “gateway drug” adage has been embedded into our minds although we know that marijuana has done much more good than harm.

the only way to really know how these states have been effected is to visit and take in weed culture for what its worth. in my mind, i imagine bustling towns filled to the brim with people of all ages, muddling around with glazed happy looks on their faces and insatiable appetites seeking solace in 420 friendly cafes, scarfing down infused pastries and reminiscing on other times they got high in public. this could be a dream, or a nightmare, depending on who you speak to.

let me step back a second.

my name is dot. i’m a borderline millennial (front or back end, i may let you know later) and i make infused foods. i also think it’s important to mention that i am scared of being high. because of this fear, i’ve found myself where i am today, carefully dosing out infused treats and meals to others who may be a bit skittish when it comes to the either acclaimed or criticized herb. i find that infusions gradually introduce folks into the feeling of being high, especially if they’re dosed properly. the slow ride has enormous healing properties without the bogged down feeling of “what have i done!!” i want to share this with others, especially those like me who may be too anxious of the high.

back to legal states. although i may not be an intermediate user, ineptly equipped in the art of dapping or concentrates, i respect the culture of weed too much to make poorly backed assumptions about rec legal states based on socially indoctrinating programs such as D.A.R.E. (i’m dating myself).

so its off to the east coast we go rather soon.
