🔥Mercury Retrograde- is planet of mind, communications, phones, siblings ,how you express yourself and learn. These people can feel many times misunderstood. You have difficulty communicating clearly with others, with being heard. You can be someone who has a ton of mental energy and is far more intelligent than people realize. But you can't show that to others. You have trouble showing your thoughts to others. People may see you as a person who is not smart. But you are. You have a different mindset than others. It just usually takes a while to let go of the fear, isolation, or insecurity that accompanies this position. You have to work harder to developing confidence in your mental abilities, your ideas. Also these people have learning difficulties. But when Mercury goes into a retrograde state then it is at your home. This means that you feel much better than others. You can create great progress. And that’s when you feel your best. Your mindset and communication show up over time in life. You can be a very good speaker and influencer.

🍓Venus retrograde- planet of love&pleasure. You have some difficulty in giving and receiving love and affection. You may experience sadness in love or have to endure hardship or delay. You can have social anxiety and you have a hard time dealing with people. You may also have low self-esteem and it can also feel like you don’t deserve love. It can also be related to how you experienced love when you were little. Past relationships can mark you. These people have trouble expressing love. They don’t know how to express love the right way. Many times they may think they like someone but they don’t really. You never know if you did something right or not. They may also find it hard to accept love or give it to people. You seek love from others because you do not find it in yourself. Maybe you also need confirmation from others that you are enough. And that can be very difficult because others never give you enough of the love you need. These people also find it hard to admit that they make a mistake in love. You may take the long road when it comes to love, creativity, beauty, pleasure, receiving, peace, and inner harmony. But your love can be special, beautiful and different from others when you develop it.

🥑Mars Retrograde - planet of action & energy. Energy will be expressed in a different way. You may find it difficult to be challenged. This struggle to stand up for yourself may lead to you becoming angry with yourself and focusing on your perceived shortfalls instead of your talents. It’s hard to admit you did something wrong. This can also sometimes signify sexual frustration or an impaired sex drive. You may come on too strong some of the time, and not enough at other times, often thinking of the better thing to say or do only later, when you’re no longer under pressure. You may also not be able to express your energy properly. You may also be doing something and people don’t see what you’re doing well enough. Quarreling with others can be a problem. You try but it is as if your energy and drive for it is not visible and expressed enough. However, your energy is beautifully expressed over time and you can make a lot out of yourself.

💕Jupiter Retrograde - planet of luck& growth. I’ve seen a lot of people who have this planet retrograde and it’s among them also Kurt Cobain. The problem is that you don't find happiness and the things you do don't bring you as much happiness as you could. Happiness can always be temporary. Maybe you have trouble believing in something or faith is a problem for you. You may also lack self-confidence. All the things you’re supposed to achieve - all the fortune and positivity kind of going backwards. it's hard for you to find the real happiness. It seems to you that you are not growing enough or moving forward enough in life. You can feel like you are stuck. Those people value kindness, generosity, compassion, reason, a purpose for existence, and a great awareness of their gifts. But within the first 30 years of the native's life, Jupiter will station direct by progression, marking it a time when the wheel of fortune is turning, demanding a huge leap of faith. From this point on, as the individual regains inner faith.

🪐Saturn Retrograde - planet of maturity & lessons. You can experience it many times self-doubt. You may feel that everything you do is not good enough. Your creativity and work skills can begin to show later in life. It's hard for you to show others what you know. There can also be a strong fear of letting others down or of not filling their responsibilities . Sometimes the childhood was not very disciplined or orderly. It can also mean that you had to grow up early. It is my opinion Saturn shows up much more in the early years than later. Because when you are little, you experience things differently than when you grow up and later in life things get easier. People may also struggle with boundaries, finding it difficult to say no to the demands of others. On the positive side, natal Saturn retrograde individuals are often wise beyond their years, and considerably more in tune with their karmic destiny than others.

🦋Neptune Retrograde- planet of dreams, ocean& illusions. It is considered less impactful than a retrograde personal planet, such as Mercury or Venus. You may be on a lifelong journey to deeply understand spirituality, creativity, compassion, and unconditional love. Neptunian types are normally highlyempathetic and empathic, qualities which can open ripe channels of creative expression. With such a marked sensitivity, however, a prominent Neptune in the natal chart can lead some to escapist behaviors in response to the constant influx of stimuli and energy they experience. After substantial Neptunian setbacks, including but not limited to addictions, delusions, and deception, those with Neptune retrograde may be forced to negotiate their relationship to self-sacrifice and refortify their ego boundaries. Also it may be harder for you to manifest or deal with astrology. Also deal with the subconscious it is more difficult and incomprehensible.

🛼Uranus Retrograde-planet of freedom and rebellion. A planet does not have such an influence if it is not connected to a personal planet. These people often experience unusual changes. Changes are often unexpected. People can have fear of change or a latent mistrust of new technologies or improvements. You may struggle to fully express your inner originality, innovation, liberation, or ingenuity. Your life can change a lot and you can also move a lot in your life.There could be a lifelong struggle with authority but being a rebel without a cause can lead to instability and depression in life.

🫀Pluto Retrograde - planet of transformation& deepness. It’s all an issue of control. A planet does not have such an influence if it is not connected to a personal planet. People can be very secretive and mysterious. Part of Pluto's unenviable remit is to introduce us to the bleaker realities of life, like death and rebirth, destruction and regeneration. Your power is not expressed outwardly. You want to have control over things and show control but you can’t. You may also find it harder to transform and open a new beginning. It may also be harder for you let go of people and situations. You’ll face growth opportunities in the areas of personal power, transformation, and the ability to dive deep beneath the surface. But it is precisely because of this that you can more easily understand the deeper and darker things of life. Maybe you can experience life and death differently than others.

It's very common to have retrograde planets in your natal chart.

It's because these are slow-moving placements so they often appear retrograde in the chart rather then direct.

A retrograde in astrology is when a planetary object appears to move backwards, which essentially means the planet's energy is somewhat effected, so those life areas that fall under that planet's domain are not as easily expressed. It’s a very karmic thing to have in the natal chart, your soul chose to incarnate to learn deeper lessons regarding the areas of life ruled by that specific planet/asteroid. To know if you have a natal retrograde in your chart, look for Rx or R on a generated chart calculator.

Fun fact: Mars is the rarest retrograde.

Planets

If your Ruling Planet is Retrograde it will make you doubt yourself more and you may experience self image issues.

For example: A Gemini Rising with a natal Mercury retrograde or A Sagittarius Rising with a natal Jupiter retrograde.

Mercury Retrograde gives you lessons around communication, learning and intellect. You may struggle to articulate words and speak up or may even talk too much and not know when to be quiet.

Venus Retrograde makes someone’s nature more intense & deep. They take their connections very seriously which may cause these individuals to go through difficulties in regards to their one on one relationships. Since socialising is not taken lightly there can be some sort of awkwardness when participating in small talk and general shyness in order to avoid superficial connections.

- aquarius ascendants are the type of people you can never figure out. if you think you have, they are mirroring you. these people feel limited when being put in a box, they don’t like to be perceived in a specific way or have labels put upon them.

- libra moons tend to give out a lot of hot and cold behaviour, especially if they feel trapped or are in a period of indecision.

- pisces sun people are extremely emotionally stable and know how to handle an emotionally tense situation. they welcome all the feelings and recognise them one by one, then introduce logic. they like to problem solve emotionally tense situations.

- people with asteroid child (4580) on a close conjuct with their sun are people who always have the ‘childish joy for life’. they perceive life through the lens of fun and tend to have a natural tendency to detach from everything they’re faced with. they might carry some deep trauma from their childhood and tend to never ‘properly mature’.

- taurus moons feel loved when gifted money or food. i know someone with this placement that told me that they don’t care about the person they’re dating, as long as they are financially benefiting from this connection.

- those with asteroid wisdom (8402) landing in their 12th house hold a lot of answers in their subconscious. they feel as though their own memory blocks them from accessing the answers they need, and they may need to look into their past lives for answers.

- uranus retrograde natives tend to feel as though whenever something good is going on in their lives, it will crumble soon. they have a constant chronic uncertainty about the near future and the temperaments of the energies, may struggle with general anxiety.

- scorpio moon natives tend to take matters into their own hands whenever faced with tension in a connection, they ‘destruct’ the situation and try to get to the bottom of what created the uncertainty (the tower card). they want to make sure whatever is being built, is being built on a very strong foundation.

big things that are coming

in case you want to mark your calendar.

astrological new year - the sun into aries marks off the equinox, and the start of a sort of new year, as it goes from the beginning of the zodiac back around for another trip.

lunar eclipse - and that new year kicks off with the start of another eclipse season shortly after! so this will be a major period of change and upheaval, broadly speaking focused on relationships vs the self (although of course it always depends on your personal natal astrology.) this one is a full moon eclipse in libra.

mercury retrograde in aries - this retrograde goes from the 27th degree of aries to the 15th and goes from april fool's day (seriously) until april 25th. be very careful around hotheaded people and in situations where accidents may occur. apply your mercury retrograde protocols (review, revise, introspect, etc) to aries themes as much as possible.

solar eclipse - in aries on april 8, whereas the lunar eclipse focused on relationships this one is focused more on the self. it is volatile energy, so it is not necessarily advised to set any intentions you're really attached to, but rather have a willingness to change and be changed.

jupiter-uranus conjunction - this is exact on april 20 but you will likely feel it for a few days on either side, longer the more taurean/jovial/uranian you are natally. it is a sudden and/or major change, socially and/or personally, in a way that taurus is not typically associated with being a sign which is slow and stubborn to move. but jupiter helps ease the transition, and make it a good one rather than traumatic. so go with it! uranus is for the future. it will be pulling us, forcefully if need be, out of the past and into a new sort of mini-age. this happens only every several years and in taurus even less often. the last one in taurus was in 1941. taurus wants natural changes - i hope to see a shift or a major law passed towards something positive to do with sustainability, the climate, or the quality of food we are fed.

when a planet is in retrograde (rx), it appears to be moving/rotating backwards from our point of view on earth. it's important to note the planet is not actually moving backwards - it just looks that way because of its position in relation to earth and the sun. with that in mind, the sun and moon cannot be in retrograde.

𝒊𝒊. 𝒘𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒅𝒐𝒆𝒔 𝒊𝒕 𝒎𝒆𝒂𝒏 𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝒂 𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒆𝒕 𝒊𝒔 𝒊𝒏 𝒓𝒆𝒕𝒓𝒐𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒅𝒆?

when a planet is in retrograde, often it makes it harder to deal with its energy. it could cause a lot of internal conflicts that also impact connections with people throughout one's life.

having a planet in retrograde in your natal chart is not a bad thing or a bad placement - it just means one has to work a little harder to understand and harness the energy of the planet compared to ones that are direct.

this retrograde is what's most known when people talk about retrogrades. with this planet in retrograde natally, you could find it hard to communicate with others. this could be in that you have a stutter, or you could be too harsh or too passive when addressing others (depending on the sign). you could be too impulsive in your actions, or you could overthink and inhibit yourself from taking charge in your life. i could also see people with this planet in retrograde finding it hard to write and learn new languages.

𝐕𝐄𝐍𝐔𝐒

you could find it hard to fall in love and/or to find, be in, and maintain relationships of any kind - but especially romantic ones; it could take a long time for you to start dating compared to others. this planet in retrograde can also make it hard for people to develop and sustain self-love and self-attraction. you may not see yourself as handsome or beautiful and/or others may look down on you or ignore you because of your looks. this is another planet that could make it hard to get along with people because venus is also associated with harmony overall, but the issues with beauty and love are more prominent.

𝐌𝐀𝐑𝐒

you could find it hard to bring your drive and passion to the surface. you could find it hard to be self-motivated and may prefer to take things slow throughout life and see how things pan out versus taking control. if you know the musical hamilton, you could be similar to aaron burr in waiting for things to happen to or for you versus making things happen. i could see natal mars retrograde manifesting as someone being asexual and/or having a low libido. you could have issues with bottling up anger, creating anger issues; if underdeveloped, i could see this leading to self-harm or other violent tendencies - this is not absolute

𝐉𝐔𝐏𝐈𝐓𝐄𝐑

it could be hard for you to recognize your luck and/or you may feel as if you have no luck even if you actually do. this is a "the glass is half empty" type of placement. you might have taboo beliefs, and people may make you feel as if you’re weird or wrong for them. although people may make you feel that way, your belief system may still be strong depending on your jupiter sign. there's a possibility of not being fit for tradtional higher education. you may feel like you have to create your own luck and could have trouble trusting the universe and your guides to provide for you.

you could be too harsh on yourself when it comes to having structure. you may burden yourself with responsibilities no one else is giving or expecting of you. you may put more boundaries and limitations on yourself than is naturally expected of you. i could see this placement manifesting as asceticism in some people. you might feel like people never live up to your expectations, or they always let you down, so you only trust yourself to get things done. with this placement, there's an emphasis on self-motivation and high ambition.

🗣 Not professional astrologer! It’s only based on my own experience, people that i know, and self-observation. So please take with grain of salt! :D

Venus in Libra peeps could be those who keep nagging about how they want a relationship so bad. (i know a few people in my life with this placement and they can't stop complaining about how single they are help)

Leo moon are lying to themselves if they say they don't like attention. (perhaps don't realize it yet?)

A lot of Venus in Virgo people that i know at some point in their life will questioning whether they really want a marriage or not. (yeah me too)

Someone said "i can't see myself getting married. I don't know, it seems unrealistic to me" yeah you are Virgo Venus in 12th house retrograde.

I mean, Venus in Virgo itself already make this person picky when it comes to love, and then the confusion and unrealistic idea they had because of the neptune influence. And in retrograde? jeez. i believe they have been in a relationship but then the relationship they had never meet their expentation because this people have a hopeless romantic idea of what romance is.

Venus in Sagittarius / 9th need a lot of freedom. Have a special place for foreigner in ther heart. Love someone who can keep up with their wild energy. Love people who is aware of society problem. Friend of mine have 7th stellium (5 planet) and i swear to god, the attachment issues they have with is not a joke. They struggle with being on their own and need someone approval in every aspect of their life. Feel like they are incomplete if they're single. Too selfless, too giving. Later in life, people with this placement might have to realize that they should learn to stand on their on feet.

Despite whatever people say about planets retrograde and the karma they carry, planets retrograde can be a blessing in disguise in a birth chart and they can even hold more power and energy than direct planets once the natives have figured out how to manage the energy of their retrograde in a new and innovative way.

These planets also carry a different energy than when they are direct. The energy is turned inward and it’s up to each individual to bring that energy outward based on their own individuality and perception of life.

Mercury retrograde people communicate softly and calmly. They don’t know it but people love hearing them talk. They are mesmerising people. The energy of their communication is loving and grounded. Their mind is also innovative and they have a genius like quality to them. The key to unlock their true potential is to not take anything personally and be appreciative of how their mind works.

Mars retrograde natives have a hard time expressing their mars energy because they actually need to find a new way of expressing it. How ? By just being themselves and trying out different and innovative ways of being assertive. Once they do find their solution, their combative and competitive side is unstoppable. Native with direct mars can never be as assertive as a mars retrograde natives who have master this energy.

Some planets are even better when they are retrograde, especially Saturn and Pluto because they carry less karma over time.

The native with Saturn retrograde will experience most of their karma in their early years then they will be an unstoppable force that can make anything happen. They will be limitless over time compared to Saturn direct natives who will face more karma as they grow older. Saturn retrograde natives also work hard even harder than Saturn direct people, they exhaust themselves but their actions will be rewarded no matter what they do over time. They have a lot on their plate but they will receive anything they ask for and even more as they grow older. Karma will truly be on their side after they turn 30. Their lessons are to learn time and ressources management. Once they do learn those two lessons, it’s only up from there for them.

For Pluto retrograde, their transformations happen inward, they don’t let people be consumed by their intensity and they rather bring out a positive energy around them than a chaotic one. It’s actually easier to be around a Pluto retrograde dominant person than a Pluto direct dominant person. The energy is less heavy. The lesson to learn is to unleash some of that intensity outward when it is necessary because people can take advantage of the fact that they prefer surrounding themselves with positive energy. It’s great for them to remember that unleashing some of their demons can actually be useful to them. In a protective way of course. Not really to harm others.

Jupiter retrograde people have a different way of claiming abundance and luck. Once they understand that they need to travel more, meet more people from different backgrounds to unlock their potential, their true nature comes out and all their manifestations become reality. They can become master manifestors.
