The Crown: The Targaryen Family

Queen Mother Alicent: Alicent, mother of four, served her country strongly for years leading up to her late husbands death. When her childhood friend, Queen Rhaenyra, took hold of the crown, Alicent was finally able to live a life of freedom. With Daeron, her youngest, away at school and only visiting on the weekends, her house was rather empty.

Several years had passed before she met Captain Criston Cole. They met at a small dinner hosted by their close friends. The two began to meet every time that Criston was in London, and before long, they found themselves falling for the other. While Alicent had been nervous to introduce her children to Criston, they seemed to like the man. After years of being together privately, Criston proposed, and the two married at Westminster Abbey surrounded by the Royal Family, the prime minister and other members of the British government, and many other notable friends of the family. Alicent likes to spend her days riding her horses in the country side with her grandson Jace, tending to the gardens with Helaena, and creating as many dinners as possible for her family to attend.

Queen Rhaenyra: While still young, to the throne and in years, the mother of one tends to be kept busy with her duties as Queen of England. She can be found attending galas, international charity tours, and private meetings with the Prime Minister, as well as walking the halls of Buckingham Palace with her half-brother, Aegon, right beside her.

She married young when she was still just a princess and gave birth to her son, Jace. Her son was only two when her husband was tragically killed in a car accident and she vowed to never marry again. Instead, she put her focus into her duties as the heir to her fathers throne, and when her father passed away, she was crowed Queen. While she had intended for her own son to be her heir, Jace abdicated when he was only 15, and so, with the council of others, named Aegon her heir.

She likes to spend her free time with her beloved son Jace, as well as her close friend, Alicent. The two can usually be found at tea at Buckingham Palace with newspapers in their laps. She also makes sure to spend her time with her siblings and enjoys when her little niece and nephew run through the halls of the palace.

Criston Cole: Captain Cole of the Royal Navy had never imagined a life where he was married to the former Queen Consort, now Queen Mother of England. He had never given much thought to the Royal Family, and with the ever going war, it was the last thing on his mind. However, on a rare trip back home, he met the love of his life, Alicent. His life shifted from there, and as time went on, and the war was over, he finally allowed himself to be with her the way she deserved.

It was hard to win the favor of her children, now his. While Daeron and Helaena had decided that they liked Cole quite early on, Aemond and Aegon gave him a rather hard time, out of worry for their mother. All without Alicent's knowing of course. Aemond had refused to shake his hand and Aegon was set on giving him a stare whenever they saw each other. Though, as time went on, the more they got to know each other, and the closer they became. By the time Alicent and Criston were getting married, Criston couldn't see them as anything other than his sons.

Prince Aegon: The young heir splits his time between the workings of the crown and his family. Though, those two things tend to bleed into the other at times. He's happily married to Helaena and they share their beautiful twins, Jaehaera and Jaehaerys. At only three years old, they keep Aegon and Helaena busy.

He hadn't expected to become heir, but when Jace abdicated, a sixteen year old Aegon more than rose to the challenge as the new heir to the crown. From the time he was young, Aegon took his position very seriously and he has become passionate about his role. With his younger brother being an infamous playboy, someone had to keep the family name from tarnish. He can often be found walking just behind Queen Rhaenyra, offering his council and advice while he learns the ways of the monarchy from his older sister.

He likes to spend his time with his family when he's not busy working. He and Helaena like to take the twins to Balmoral, the Royal Family's home in Scotland when they can. And when Aemond is back, the two can usually be found on a hunt of some kind. Family is the most important thing to Aegon, and it just so happens that his family is also his job. He enjoys playing polo with his club when he's able to get away. While he prefers polo, his wife does jumping, and their home has a large farm full of beautiful horses.

Prince Jace: The young prince is furthering his education at Oxford university for his masters degree. He went there with Aegon when they were both younger and he couldn't help but fall in love with the school and his studies. Despite the gossip that went around, Jace had found a good group of people he could call friends. In the beginning, it was normal for him to hear the whispers of others behind his back about the inter workings of his family and making assumptions about his abdication. However, he learned to ignore these people and the rumors eventually died down.

The truth of it all was that Jace didn't want to be king. He loved his family more than anything, and aspired to serve them as a prince and valuable member of the royal family, but he had no wish to rule. And so, the smartest decision he ever made was giving it to Aegon. Jace had always looked up to Aegon, and so it only seemed right. The man was like an older brother to Jace, still was.

Jace, when he's not at school or a public family function, can be seen with his (technically) grandmother, Alicent. The two like to go on horseback rides together, and when they get lucky enough, Rhaenyra will join them. He spends time with Helaena and they usually watch the twins roll around in the garden. And when Daeron is back from school, the two like to spend their days playing tennis. Jace's favorite place in the world is Balmoral Castle, the family's summer home in Scotland, where they spend every Christmas and summer holiday together.

Princess Helaena: The young princess and mother of two likes to stay away from the politics of the family crown as much as she can, though she's known to attend many of the charity events hosted and attended by the family. Her wedding to Aegon was one that the public would never forget. The young princess is a favorite by many and their wedding at Westminster Abbey was said to be quite magical.

She loves to spend her time training her horses for her horse jumping career. Aegon had the farm built and decorated just for her. With her favorite colors painted all over the barn, and beautiful trees planted everywhere to make it seem like she was in a different world. Aegon is known to spoil her, but she's also known to never tell him off for it.

While balancing her time as a mother and wife to the heir of the crown, she does love to attend the ballet, and the twins enjoy it as well. She also enjoys spending time with other members of the family, including Aemond, Jace, and her mother Alicent. While she's a private person, she's prepared to become Queen Consort alongside Aegon when the the time comes.

Prince Aemond: With being in the Royal Navy, he tries his best to see his family as much as he can. Though he still finds himself at home very little. However, when he is home, his time is full of family dinners, public events, and private family matters. At the moment, he's been trying to defuse an argument between Helaena and Jace because the two disagreed about something in a book.

Public events are full of photographers trying there best to get photos of him talking to the young ladies in attendance. He's been given the title of Royal Playboy and while that might be true, he knows that his mother doesn't appreciate the title too much. Aemond, when not with his family, can usually be found at a club, where the girls are nice to look at and the alcohol is top shelf.

While his elder brother doesn't always like his partying tendencies, Aemond is more concerned with making sure Aegon doesn't sleep at his desk to care all that much. Aemond likes to spoil the twins as much as he can, and on special occasions he's known to spoil Daeron and Jace. Aemond also enjoys getting to hunt with his brothers and Jace while on holiday at Balmoral.

Prince Daeron: Prince Daeron is young and trying his best to take on the world one exam at a time. Being away for school makes him both excited to have freedom and has him missing his family. While he was always told to never use his title to get what he wants, using the prince card to visit home on the weekends is the only exception.

At school he's been lucky enough to make the tennis team along with a few boys he calls his friends. Tennis is something he's passionate about.. that and sneaking out of his dorm at night.

When he's home he can usually be spotted following his mother around, playing tennis with Jace, and hanging out with his siblings. He's not sure what he wants to do yet, but he's got some time before he finishes school and is expected to serve in the Royal Navy. For now, he's fine with playing tennis and spending time with friends and family.

"Lady Annabelle of House Smith." The announcer spoke as Lady Annabelle walked in and sat with the Crown Princess who was wait eagerly for her arrival at her chambers

"Hello, Victoria, how have you been?" Lady Annabelle asked as she rested her back on the chair, happier than usual as she just got an estate of land from the King, who was Victoria’s father

"Hello, Lady Annabelle. No, I've not been good as Lady Viserra asked for my father's hand, I could not believe that woman only used me as a pawn in her game," Victoria replied, sipping on the Japanese Black Tea customized for herself. She never felt comfortable with talking to people who call her Victoria, but Lady Annabelle was an elder and like a mother to her and her miserable self, so she allowed her to use only Victoria. Which was a privilege to most people

"Victoria, it's the time men dominate the world. We just try to build a window in our cage and deal with every thing. Lady Viserra was not as bad as Lady Maria Danbury, remember that," Lady Annabelle stated, she was right. That woman lied that Victoria tried to burn her alive with her child, who was a bastard from Lord Treddors

"You are going to be betrothed to the Crown Prince of France, I heard." Victoria groaned, she hated the talk of a big alliance to someone, especially a man who is about to rule a country which named them "toilettes"

"I hate it, Lady Annabelle! It's so infuriating that all they ask now is "do you have a child yet?" or "Is England going have an heir or are you just going to end the monarchy with Queen Victoria?". I cannot deal with those ugly people who think they know us." Lady Annabelle laughed, the princess was a disciple of hers and a very ambitious woman, whoever gets betrothed to her was lucky

“Tis it true then? You’re betrothed to the Crown Prince of France?”

Reynolds, Victoria sworn shield who was a blue coat, arrived. He huffed "Madam, the King has requested a ball for your betrothal with Crown Prince Aemond Targaryen," this statement made Lady Annabelle get her answer

"I will be there," Victoria said to Reynolds, initialing for him to leave her alone, which he did after a few minutes of silence

"Wear a good dress!" Lady Annabelle said as she left her and strolled out of her room to go to her estate, looking like she just got married to the richest man in England

"Her Royal Highness, Victoria, the Princess of Wales. Daughter of King Henry the IX of Great Britain," The announcer did his job as Victoria strutted in the ball room, greeting the lords and the ladies of the realm

"I have invited you all here for my daughter's betrothal, there are many people from France here. Now, you may all dance with anyone!" the King, her father, announced as he fell back on the throne

They all danced around like a usual ball, until Victoria came face to face with another man. He had a very sharp jaw and only one purple eye

"You look like you want to escape this."

"You too"

"You want to sneak out of here and get out of this castle?" Victoria asked, guiding him out of the main dance, which included switching partners and she didn’t want to

He raised his eyebrows “How do you predict exactly, Lady-?”

“If I introduce myself to you right now. You would not want to run away from here,” she said, a statement to which he laughed

“My dear, let me say that it’s the same for you,” he laughed, making her roll her eyes at him

“Well, in the holdfast that Henry VIII had makes a very good escape from here,” she grabbed a chalice of wine gulping it, his face turned into a questioning look

“How do you know?” He asked, looking down at her face

“None of your business, my prince,” she replied, moving a little closer to the guy whose eye widened in shock

“How did you know that?” He asked. “Your closet proves the fact that you’re not a noble man or some rich lord, so I assumed. Where are you from, if you say here, I know you’re lying,”

“Fine, I’m Prince Aemond Tar-“

Victoria choked on the wine due to that statement about himself. “You’re Prince Aemond?” “See, I told you that you’d be shocked,”

“It’s an honor to speak to the man who’s going to be our next king,” Victoria mentally scoffed at her own words. They were both disloyal to their betrothed

“You are from here?” He asked her, as he itched his hair

“Yes, I am a friend of the royal family,” she said, smiling falsely at him

“I have no intention to make any statements about the situation regarding my betrothal,” Aemond told, according to Victoria, he shouldn’t be confessing that to a woman who has never even told her name to him

“Why say it to me?” Victoria asked, sounding ‘pleased’ at his words

“I have no intention to make any statements about the situation regarding our betrothal, right Victoria?” Aemond smirked, which caused her eyes to widen

“How did you know? I thought I hid it so well,” Victoria yelled, making Aemond laugh as he predicted it was her from the start of their little act

“You were not quite stealthy in hiding your anger when I mentioned our betrothal, madam,” he leaned on the wall, smirking at her.

“Tis not my fault but it’s my father’s, he told me that I had to marry you and then proceed to produce heirs so that France and Britain could have a chance of being together again. Our monarchy wouldn’t ‘fall’” she unintentionally dragged her hand from her fact to her neck

“Wait, what about our first born? We are crown princess and prince, we will ascend as Queen and King of England and France. Our first born will-“

She coughed “The King or Queen of England and France,”

“Which means our empires will unite,” he ended

“We will be a start of an empire bigger than the world itself,” Victoria smiled, as she hugged him. Aemond hugged back after staying still for a few seconds

“So, now what? We wanted to run away and now we’re talking to each other,” he said, placing his hands on her waist

She felt shivers as she felt his hands. “My father is going to be so proud of he knows about this,” she said, finger pointing to him and then her

“Now, tell me about yourself, Victoria Windsor,” Aemond said, smiling to himself

“Well, my mother died in childbirth and my father was so upset about her death that he almost forgot about my existence until a maid told him that I was crying and needed milk,” she began, her eyes closing due to the fear of tears

“I was crowned Princess of Wales and I was the first Regnant Princess of Wales in my own right. My whole life I never even had a nice talk with my father and Lady Annabelle was the one to help me through all the pain and challenges I had in life that my relationship with my father was easily broken down. My betrothal with you was my last straw because I thought you were some fat prince who would tell me to lie there and take it,” she finished, the ending making him laugh loudly

“Listen Vicky, I would never tell you to lie there and take it, okay? My name is now in your heart and I hope you see me as a friend or more than someone you are destined to marry,” he comforted her by putting a hand on her shoulder

“Fine, now tell me about you, Aemond Targaryen.”

“I was crowned Dauphin Of France when I was a twelve year old, skipping my half-sister who was Dauphine Of France before but was a woman who wasn’t present to the public. So, my family decided to skip my brother and sister, who were born before me. My sister is a dreamer and my brother is too much of a drunkard for ruling a country. My mother was the only one who cared about me and my grandfather was greedy and wanted me to make him hand off the king. I’m pretty sure my sister and her husband will start a war once my father rots and dies and I become King of France” he ended just like her, making her hug him for all he’s been through

“Your country will be associated with the greatest nation of the world! You would have the Queen of England as wife and you’ll have more people supporting you rather than an usurper,” she encouraged, making him want to take her right then and there

Victoria noticed his eyes darkening. “I like how your eyes darken for no reason,” she said, making him mentally scoff as he knew exactly why his eyes were darkening

“Well, we should go and join the ball before my father announces our names,” Aemond nodded at her and then they walked to the ballroom

“Crown Prince Aemond Targaryen of France and Crown Princess Victoria Windsor,”

“Victoria! Ah, I see you’ve already met your betrothed!” Her father exclaimed happily, the joy of seeing his daughter with a man of his choice made him happier than ever

“Yes, Your Majesty. We have met each other and we like each other very much and we want to ask you to marry,” Aemond said, Victoria happily smiling at him as he spoke

“If you both are willing, Prince Aemond, you shall stay and be wed in the morning,” the King smiled as he led a woman to dance with him

“Well, we shall be husband and wife in a day? Oh gods, I remember not wanting to even see you today and to run away with some poor lord and now I’m marrying you happily,” Victoria laughed as she and Aemond danced together

“Oh, go to your poor lord!” Aemond threw her away from him, her taking that jokingly launched herself at him

“Now, you cannot let me go, my prince,” she said as she was sitting on him, her legs around his waist

He licked his lips as he smiled. “I never thought I could find someone who understood me and my feelings. Now, I think I have found them,”

“Do you truly mean that?” She asked. “So humans don’t fly?” He said in fake astonishment, twirling her around

“You look like you’re straight from a little girls fairytale book,” she complimented him with grace, making him laugh

“You look like the protagonist of a little girl’s fairytale book, my princess,”

"No, I do not look like a-

"You are and you do," Aemond smirked, as she soon realized she was a 'princess'

"Well, I now am calling it a night," the King plumped back on his throne as Aemond and Victoria separated from themselves

Everybody bowed to him as they left the ballroom, while the King told Aemond and Victoria to wait

"I am so delighted that both of you are satisfied with each other and all. Your marriage will be scheduled to the day after your birthday, Victoria. Your father is going to arrive here, yes?" Aemond nodded. "I will plan the decors and everything else with your father and your mother

"Then, we shall return to each other's chambers them, right father?" the King nodded and Aemond immediately dropped her hand, leaving to his chambers. Victoria didn't quite think that much about it as she left to her chambers

"Her Royal Highness, Crown Princess Victoria Windsor."

"Hello, Victoria. Did you sleep well?" Lady Annabelle asked but soon hugged her as she noticed the dry tears

"I thought- I thought he was a really nice person," she cried in Lady Annabelle's arms as she lost her balance

"What happened, sit down," Lady Annabelle got her servant to place a chair very easily in Victoria's reach as Lady Annabelle made her sit down in the chair and brushing her lamp as she sat down in her own chair. "Now, dear, tell me."

"I thought the Crown Prince was a really nice person because I talked with him yesterday and he was really nice and kind. I was walking to meet with his parents today as he was talking to some men calling me a 'easy whore'

"Did your father do anything about him then?" Lady Annabelle asked, distressed seeing her non-biological daughter crying in her arms

“No, just told him to leave with his family after I told him about what he did. God, I hope his half-sister usurps him, she deserves the throne more than a cunt like him. I would even help her and she would be supported by the whole of Great Britain,” Lady Annabelle laughed as she hugged her tightly

“Do not worry, dear. France will destroy themselves with the civil war which will arise,” Lady Annabelle comforted her. “You can pick a side and you can choose his half-sister’s. He lied to you about that. His maternal side, the Hightowers planned to make his drunken cunt of a brother to usurp the throne, but he was more responsible than his brother so they forged a ‘confirmation’ from his sick father,”

“How do you know so much about that?” Lady Annabelle smiled as she said “I love the history of France and especially the Targaryens,”

“Well, that’s good then,” Victoria stopped crying as Lady Annabelle spoke “The Targaryens had so much usurpers, council members making the sons King and not the daughters Queen, shaming warrior queens or women. Our royal family problems and usurping is nothing compared to theirs,”

“Well, that is very good for them. As most of them are probably cunts,” Victoria laughed as Lady Annabelle hit her lightly. “Who taught you to speak like that? That is no way a Lady or a Crown Princess would speak in that manner!”

“I apologize, Lady Annabelle,”

"I shall accept this nice apology of yours, dear Victoria" Lady Annabelle said as she bowed in a royal manner of her own

"Then we are friends again, I suppose?" Victoria laughed as she got of their little role-playing

Lady Annabelle smiled "I must admit, I like the woman you have grown to become, dear Victoria,"

"Thank you, Lady Annabelle"

"You shall be a good Queen"

Yet another DP AU this time Dad Pariah mainly just AU of Reign Storm where when Danny tires to attack Pariah instead of attacking him Pariah is like ‘Whose child is this? I am not killing a literal ghost infant’

Danny is offended and keeps trying to attack Pariah who is just holding him by the scruff of his neck like ‘Where are your parents?’ and then sees Jack and Maddie with literally house full of ghost hunting weapons and is like ‘NOPE! Not happening’

Pariah: ATTENTION DOES THIS CHILD HAVE ANY GHOST PARENTS?

More reluctant king sabo au! I realized recently that this au is an excellent excuse for drawing sabo in pretty outfits that he would be absolutely miserable in :)

#one piece au #sabo #king sabo au #I have a very specific idea of sarie in my head.#in which she is largely a product of her upbringing #entitled but due to being given everything she wanted when she was raised #sheltered and poorly socialized because she was always above those who lived outside the castle #Sarie has the potential to be a good foil to sabo. I think their dynamic would be so interesting #because while I don’t think sabo is interested in love at all #I also don’t think sarie understands what love is outside of the fairytales she is allowed to read #and she must have such a twisted idea of love from growing up in the royal family where I’m sure there must have been fights over heirs #not to mention she must have so many people vying for her attention if whoever marries her is apparently third to the throne #it definitely must have been impressed upon her since she was young that she doesn’t marry for herself #or maybe she realizes this and is waiting for a fairytale knight in shining armor to take her away. idk #I do think that to her sabo is an odd superposition of a prince and a knight #I don’t think she ever really falls in love with him. she’s just so alienated from the concept of love and #someone who actually cares about her as a person that sabo being the first one floors her and convinces her she’s in love

No Order 66 AU where Anakin leaves the Order after the war ends and he and Padme end up retiring to Naboo to try to raise the twins together, but neither of them ends up feeling particularly satisfied with life on Naboo (for Anakin it just doesn't give him any purpose the way he desperately needs and for Padme it's always been this perfect rosy dream and reality doesn't measure up), so they end up leaving the twins behind a lot so they can pursue other things and are pretty absentee parents in general. They mostly end up getting raised by Padme's parents instead, and while they're perfectly good guardians for the twins and raise them kindly and love them a lot, there's always an obvious elephant in the room regarding who ISN'T there.

This causes a bit of a rift between Luke and Leia because while Luke is trying to keep the peace and give their parents the benefit of the doubt as he moves on and figures out his own life with what he DOES have, Leia is less willing to just forgive and forget.

Luke ends up becoming a pilot working for the royal palace for a while, but Leia goes into politics (something she'd entered while younger because it's what her mother did and she'd been hoping it would get Padme's attention and bring the two of them closer; it didn't work out that way at all and now Leia's sticking with it at least partly to spite Padme) as an aide for her cousin Pooja who is now Senator of Naboo.

And it's here, once she finally makes it to Coruscant and starts working in the Senate, that Leia meets Bail Organa, still working as Senator of Alderaan. The two of them click IMMEDIATELY and Bail ends up becoming Leia's mentor in politics, as well as the person who actually introduces her to the Jedi themselves. Anakin and Padme had never really bothered to do so, both because they were so rarely around, but also because they had chosen not to give Luke and Leia to the Temple and decided at that point that it would be easier to keep the twins and the Jedi separate. Bail of course has no such compunctions and even if he knew about Anakin and Padme's feelings on the matter, I imagine he'd find ways to allow Leia to accidentally bump into some of the Jedi while she was on Coruscant. If he just so happens to double book himself for lunch with both Leia and Obi-Wan, it's hardly anything malicious and they may as well all eat together!

Leia finally feels like she has a parent who gives a damn about her, someone who acts like a parent to her, the parent she's always wanted. Her grandparents had always been incredibly kind and they obviously had to do a lot of parenting, but they'd always been very strict about making sure the twins saw them as GRANDPARENTS and not their actual parents, which just make the absence of their parents that much more obvious and painful. But with Bail, she's finally got someone who doesn't care that Anakin and Padme aren't there and doesn't feel the need to create a wall between them for Anakin and Padme's sake. Bail takes her under his wing, teaches her everything she knows, allows her to explore things she'd never been allowed to explore before, connects her to even more people who can help her understand herself better than she's ever been able to before. THIS is what a parent was supposed to do for her and she knows it, THIS is what selfless love looks like from a parent and she THRIVES under it for the first time in her life.

She eventually decides not to stay on as Pooja's aide because she has no real desire to become a senator for Naboo at any point, but she IS good at politics and desperately does want to help people any way she can, so she starts up some sort of organization of her own to help people around the galaxy (and connects it to the Jedi because deep down she KNOWS she was supposed to be one of them even though that path is now closed to her). But she doesn't go back to Naboo, she doesn't make her home on her mother's home planet.

She goes to Alderaan instead. And this time, she gets to stay there for the rest of her life.
