so the nightbringer website is open now and from what it says, the mc is gonna be in this game too? and it seems like romance is still gonna be involved? I wasn't expecting that honestly, I was thinking mc wouldn't be apart of this at all.

but if this is the case, does that mean that we're gonna find out what mc really is (they obviously aren't human in canon, but not everyone thinks of mc the same way so that doesn't seem like a good choice on their part) or maybe it will be whoever mc was in the past life? the only other thing I can see is mc going back in time again but that also seems like a weird thing to do.

still v excited for the new game, I really hope that even if they do keep mc as a main part in the game, that the romance is a small part of it (or rather that it's not thrown at you in every scene lol) and that we actually get a good story on how the brothers came to the devildom and more understanding on all of the characters in general.

Honestly (I might be completely wrong here) I think it's gonna take place in flashbacks or something similar? Like we're gonna be skipping between the past and present. Because the opening showed Luke in it and he (as stated in S3) wasn't alive while the brothers were still angels/during the time of the fall. Plus it showed Thirteen with Diavolo but S4 heavily implied that she first visited the Devildom in S4 itself. So if this is the case then MC and the romance elements would be taking place in the present (though I wouldn't mind seeing MC interact with the brothers when they were angels again, tbh)

I think this game is what's gonna be used to introduce Michael? He's been built up since S1 but some of the things said about him makes him seem like a heavily morally grey character and exploring that in a game like OM! which is just straight up a wholesome otome game won't work because he'll have to be watered down in order to become a LI. But if they introduce him in nightbringer through flashbacks (possibly in anticipation of him appearing in the present) then they wouldn't have to worry about watering him down as much (specially because the opening hints at nightbringer being more lore and angst driven)

I would really like to know more about what the hell MC is because, like it or not, general MC does have a lot of canon facts about them that are sprinkled throughout the game (here's my post that lists all of them) and the fact that they're not fully human is one of them that is brought up as early as in Season 1 (also the time it's brought up the most clearly/directly) and then hinted at/reintroduced in the following 3 seaons (post w/ canon evidence)

Hi! It's so nice to see that someone else understood the stories of MK and the relationships between the characters like I did. I really like reading your answers @neerons ! 🥰

I also can't wait to see how the relationship between Kazuomi and MC will evolve. We can expect more revelations about Kazuomi's past (in addition to what we got in the VIP event). I think his season 4 was written in a way to introduce a significant new arc (a real challenge). Kazuomi will have to face his past (like the other 2S) and maybe his vision of his future with MC will change. I want him to start believing in the word "forever" again because of her. He needs to be truly happy because he deserves it 🥹 I want him to reveal more of himself to MC and his friends because he is no longer alone now. He needs to show his vulnerabilities, but I know he can't because he's still afraid. That's why I'm so excited to see how and why he will change in the near future ☺️

PS: We're all waiting to see their future children! But I think it will take some time. Kei's "Blessed Lover" showed us that the boys and MC really need to have stable relationships like we thought. Each one of them has to deal with their own insecurities and fears (including MC). They need to in order for them to be truly happy in their own life and also together.

I'm sorry that I wrote a lot. MK is my favorite game and I love the characters and their stories, so I couldn't help myself 😅 I mean, this game is sooo interesting! I agree about Kazuomi's S4. Like I said in the previous ask, I believe this season was used to take a step back in their relationship because Kazuomi is reticent to believe in "forever", and after re reading his SHE he also said that he felt he was the only one happy about their relationship as it was. Technically speaking, I don't see how their relationship could work and reach a natural ending like other LIs in the app if they keep their dynamic (enemies and lovers) as it is. So of course I'm sure there's going to be a drastic change in the future season or story that will involve his past and make him face his fear. I forgot to mention this, but I was also very moved when MC realized that she loves him so much that she can't stop loving him even if he's a criminal ❤

And yes of course them having children (if they ever do) will take some time. Having children is also seen as the climax of the story and relationship in L365 so I don't want that to happen too soon personally. I don't want my favorite title to be over 😢

Hey! Thank you so, so much for saying that and for the welcome and lovely distraction! And for answering all of those so quickly – I’m very impressed as I figured I wouldn’t be getting answers for a while, since I asked so many questions. I haven’t read all of your AU posts but now that I know that many are answered, it’s definitely going to be my before bedtime reading tonight, while I wish for sleep to actually set in haha. Plus, that way I can reblog and comment on them either tomorrow morning or after work tomorrow. Probably after work tomorrow, that way I can reread them again and get a boost of happy after dealing with a new coworker who is…troubling, to say the least. As far as your AU’s though, you know I think they’re godly. Can I just say though, in weird thoughts I’ve been having, your warehouse AU would make a great romantic comedy/gag comedy anime and I would totally watch that anime spin-off or read full on fics about that (the gag comedy is definitely HOMRA and S4 dealing with each other and the HR department). For your band AU, I go in between wishing it was a full out anime so I could hear all the lovely music (I don’t know many Japanese girl groups, so I’m not sure what they sound like, but I know quite a few Korean ones and wonder if they would sound anything like those kind of vibes and if so, which band sounds the most like the girl’s group) and thinking that it would make such a fantastic otome/stat grinding/rhythm game combination…and those are my weird thoughts on it. I definitely think Kusanagi and Dewa would be the ones who steadfastly insist on paying for the whole date. Both men like to believe they’re ‘gentlemen’ and they would consider it against their pride as men to go dutch. Chitose pays, but he only pays because he’s definitely one of those dicks who would pull the ‘you owe me sex because I bought you dinner’ shtick. Eric would prefer to go dutch, just because he’s not exactly flush for cash, but if the person he’s on the date with definitely seems like they expect him to pay for everything (even though they’ve definitely ordered some expensive stuff), he’s going to do it to hopefully make them happy and make them like him more. He’s kind of easily taken advantage of in the dating scene, honestly. Bandou would pay entirely for the first couple of dates but would insist on either being treated occasionally in return or on going dutch after those couple of dates, while Shouhei and Fuji normally go dutch on dates, just so there’s no expectations and nobody feels like they might have been used for a free meal.

Are any of them religious?

I actually do headcanon Fuji as being quietly religious, having been raised in the Shinto faith. Chitose was raised Christan but defected from the faith. He still honestly believes in something, but he’s not sure he’d call it God and he’s no longer sure the Christian ‘God’ exists at all. Bandou was raised religious, but kind of goes in between observing and just completely ignoring religion, but I feel it’s something he gets back into more in his older age. Dewa, Eric, and Shouhei are all non-religious.

Which of the guys are good at adulting (i.e. paying taxes/bills, etc.)?

Surprisingly, Fuji is really good at adulting. He doesn’t have a lot of bills to pay, since he lives with his parents, but he does pitch in money every month from his work. He’s actually got a really healthy savings account, though he splurges on animal stuff for all the strays he picks up, drinks with the boys, and smokes. Dewa, of course, is the best at adulting. His main weakness, financially, is that he caves pretty easily when the other boys rely on him super heavily to bail them out of tight spots. He’s just really talented with numbers and budgets, so even doing so, he scrapes by every month with everything paid. Chitose is absolute crap as an adult and is normally the one that Dewa is bailing out. Eric really hasn’t had to be financially literate and he’s a terrible adult but god damn, he is trying, and he gets better at it bit by bit. Shouhei and Bandou are both about equally tied – some months all the bills are paid, other months there’s one or two that just don’t get paid because they used all the money up for fast food, drinking, and having fun. Oh well, is both of their attitudes, they’ll catch up next month. Both of them have been sent to collections at least once.

How about HOMRA adopting a stray cat?

Before saying goodbye to Liar! Uncover the Truth…

This game has always been dear to me (as much as My Last First Kiss does! even now) but sadly not every game we love has a happy ending. The closure of JP Liar was foreboding, yet the announcement still hits just as hard!

I have been playing again since the announcement. Although I’ve branched my otome tastes a little more, this game is still charming, not afraid to bring out all the crazies and fun, and still have in store plenty of heart-fluttering moments!

(And so much personality in the localization; I miss that a lot nowadays T_T)

Although a bit of content of JP Liar has been ported to Koi100+, they were nowhere near everything. The gameplay definitely hits different as well due to format limitations. And of course my hope is that Liar! will make its way to Love365 as well, but nothing has been confirmed and time is running out.

And you know how I will always and forever miss Gossip Girl Party.

Did you know they deleted the PV off their channel? I didn’t! And I’m still furious >:(

So I was able to find many other Liar! fans and we’re trying our best to archive everything that we can! The progress have been great, but we definitely still miss some content, namely data files, event routes and false accusations. We also talk a bunch about Liar! as we go through all the good old memories of the game (honestly I forgot how chaotic these guys were lmao)

What if MC died and then went to to hell in the og om, like they died and woke up in the hall, and that was weird because only a few sinners come to the devildom but most go to hell, so they decide to test MC with lesson 16, and powers and RAD, and MC making a pact with the brothers.

So Diavolo decides to put MC on the council like keep your friends close, but enemies closer..then they realise that MC is not a threat, and they dont know that they died and got sent here, so they dont say anything, the brothers get close to MC, and therefore... Diavolo, Solomon, Barbatos have a discussion about MC and the whole situation between the realms and Simeon's predicment in S4 of OM, bt after that discussion a unknown being kidnaps MC and sends them way back to the past and this makes way for OM NB.

So Solomon and Barbatos track the last magic use and then Solomon goes back in time,

however, he be breaks his own rules by making the pacts with some of the brothers before MC does, and now MC's brain is trying to make sense of this whole different thing, so their brain is trying to figure out things and MC could start hallucinating... so now MC can accidently change the past and errase the present brothers and their own timeline...

Could MC be immortal...probably....could MC be more of a dick totally, because they already dealt with the brothets shit, but the whole of hell is now a threat to MC and possibly whole of heaven, and their safe place would probably be on Earth, however, the angels could kidnap MC or the demons since earth is a neutral ground. So their second best place is the Devildom....

Nightbringer being an all seeing thing does not seem far fetched, but i know solmare would not go down this direction but if nb was either God, or the king of hell, two most powerful beings with MC being a pawn in their twisted game...

10 Years of Aikatsu!

The first Aikatsu TV series aired on TV Tokyo on the 8th of October 2012. 2022 marks 10 years of the Aikatsu franchise and what a journey has been for the franchise. From Ichigo Hoshimiya's goal to become Starlight Academy's top idol to Hana's road to becoming Aikatsu Planet's top idol, five installments showcased the ups and downs of our favorite school idols.

Time to hop into the "lucky train", kids, because it's time for a quick history lesson on the Aikatsu franchise! Let's begin!

Aikatsu! (2012) - The saga began on the 8th of October, 2012, when Bandai launched the Aikatsu! franchise. which are made to appeal the little girls in the form of the TV series aired on TV Tokyo and the DATA CARDDASS arcade game where players can play as their favorite characters from the series or create their own character and take on a series of challenges to win Aikatsu cards to personalize their idols. The TV series centers on the life and times of Ichigo Hoshimiya, a middle-school student who wants to become an idol, just like the renowned Mizuki Kanzaki. That's why she, and Aoi Kiriya, are enrolling at the prestigious Starlight Academy to begin their journey.

Throughout the series, they've met various characters in the academy such as Ran Shibuki, Otome Arisugawa, Yurika Todo, Sakura Kitaoji, Kaede Ichinose, and others, all have in common in the academy; to become the best idols in the class.

What's unique about the Aikatsu franchise is that the singing voices of the characters are different from the seiyuus who did the dialogue for them. As a matter of fact, STAR���ANIS, the singing group was responsible for the songs from the show. They even held concerts where they performed most of the songs from the TV show as well.

In the second season, the girls from Starlight Academy are facing the students from the rival idol school known as Dream Academy. Seira Otoshiro, Sora Kazesawa, Kii Saegusa, and Maria Himesato came from Dream Academy for some matters with the Starlight girls. Later on, with differences settled, Ichigo and Seira teamed up to form 2wings to take on WM, which comprises the school alum Mizuki and rising star Mikuru Natsuki. Apart from them, this season introduces the young Akari Ozora, who idolizes Ichigo and became the girl we know in the third season.

The third and final season of Aikatsu, labeled the Akari Generation arc of the series, centers on Akari Ozora as the main character of the series, and with Akari replacing Ichigo as the main character of the final season, Akari's accompanied by her new friends Sumire Hikami and Hinaki Shinjo on their journey to become the academy's top idols, no matter what lays ahead of them. She's a changed girl since we first met her in an earlier season.

The final season introduces us to another Aikatsu-related singing group named AIKATSU☆STARS, which, like STAR☆ANIS, is responsible for the songs from the final series.

Throughout the tenure of the original Aikatsu series, they have spawned two films such as Aikatsu the Movie and Aikatsu Music Awards, featuring storylines never seen in the TV series, giving fans a more enjoyable experience in the franchise.

Aikatsu Stars! (2016) - As the original Aikatsu series ended in the end of March 2016, its successor story, Aikatsu Stars!, was launched. , Aikatsu Stars centers on a brand new story of friends Yume Nijino and Rola Sakuraba as they are going to fulfill their quest to become the school's finest idols in the same way the four elite students, called the S4, did with their pride and prestige. Using their Aikatsu Cards, the stage is theirs to amaze the spectators.

The second season sees Yume Nijino's role as one of the members of S4 has been tested when the Venus Ark pays a visit, giving her a brand new challenge to take on. Traveling around the world on the Venus Ark, they've collected the best and brightest students from across the globe to nurture them into elite students unleashing the full capabilities of their talents. For Yume and the others, this is a challenge because they've been to the belly of the beast during the long summer months while reuniting with Koharu. This season introduces the Star Premium Rare dress, a powerful kind of dress representing the planets of the solar system and once all nine SPRs have been unleashed, the legendary Sun dress will be unleashed, and whoever possesses it promises the ultimate power.

It was first aired on TV Tokyo in the spring of 2016 to 2018 for 100 episodes and aside from the TV series, there was a movie version of Aikatsu Stars shown in the summer of 2016. The similarly named AIKATSU☆STARS from the final Aikatsu season has returned to perform songs from this series as well.

Aikatsu Friends! (2018) - After Aikatsu Stars ended in the spring of 2018, its successor, Aikatsu Friends!, took over and the third installment breaks away from the tradition because, for the first time, the seiyuu behind the characters are responsible for the songs on the series. Anyway, this series highlights the life and times of Aine Yuki and Mio Minato, two friends who are destined to be the best friends among the rest. This is about the rise and fall and reborn of the duo they formed as Pure Palette and how their road to the Diamond Friends Cup was tested by numerous rivals among the way.

The second season of Aikatsu Friends!, titled Aikatsu Friends! Kagayaki no Jewel, introduces fans to the brand new Jeweling Dress feature where the chosen ones will unleash their brilliance onstage. At the beginning of the second season, the Pure Palette girls accepted Hibiki Tensho’s mission to reunite with her old friend Alicia Charlotte, the crown princess of the Principality of Solvette. The second season features the new Jeweling Dress system and these new Premium Rare dresses add power to their live performances.

The show lasted for about 76 episodes.

Aikatsu On Parade! (2019) - Aikatsu on Parade! is the most ambitious crossover of the Aikatsu franchise, highlighting seven years of Bandai's hit children's franchise that wooed kidults all over Japan. The biggest Aikatsu crossover stars Raki Kiseki and the Pure Palette in their cross-dimensional adventure across the entire franchise, meeting iconic characters, performing iconic songs, and in due course, finding out what's going on with the cross-dimensional crisis that saw every single Aikatsu character popping up to a different world without reason. The show lasted for 26 episodes on TV, followed by a web anime highlighting Noeru Otoshiro, the sister of Seira, as she's representing Dream Academy in the ultimate battle of the schools.

Aikatsu Planet! (2021) - Aired on TV Tokyo from January to June 2021, Aikatsu Planet is the fourth installment of Bandai Namco's Aikatsu franchise that breaks apart from the franchise traditions. The newest installment is a mix of live-action J-drama (tokusatsu, if you like to refer) and anime sequences and instead of cards, Aikatsu Planet uses the swing system where avatars use swings to tame mysterious creatures known as Dressias, possessing wonderful outfits to use on stage battles. This series is about Mao Otoha, also known as Hana in Aikatsu Planet, and her goal is to become Aikatsu Planet's top idol. A year after the series finale, the movie version of the Aikatsu Planet arrived on July 15, 2022, picking up moments after the series finale.

And there you have it. 10 years of the Aikatsu franchise from the original to Aikatsu Planet, from Ichigo Hoshimiya to Hana. What a wonderful journey this series has been but now that we no longer see them on television and the Aikatsu Planet arcade game ending its service very soon, we don't really know what's next for the Aikatsu franchise.

9. Which job would you want to work the most in Devildom?

Racking my brains for every job I've seen mentioned but if going just from what we've got in the Jobs :D thing, I think I'd want to work at Hocus Pocus? There's something about being in charge of magical items and eventually picking up on what everything does that really appeals to me the same way I'd be that art supply store clerk who'd know too much about how each pen writes.
