Urokodaki & His Kids Hcs, just there’s not enough about them honestly:

- Giyuu is certain Urokodaki puts something in the food when he cooks it cuz he always likes it ((it is unknown if he does or not))

- Urokodaki and Tanjiro brushed nezuko’s hair when she was asleep for 2 years

- Giyuu has a horrible habit of taking back, he finds every conversation loophole.

- Upon hearing Giyuu actually back talk his father, Sanemi, kyojuro and Tengen all had a look of concern ((they have shit fathers)) and we’re bewildered that Urokodaki laughed it off

- Urokodaki has tried so hard to get giyuu to cook, he’s managed maybe 2 or 3 meals and has left a permenant burn mark on the floor

- Urokodaki has replicas of his other kids masks to remember them by if he can’t retrieve their actual masks ((sabito’s went with his head))

- There are graves for his kids ofc, surrounded by nice trees. There are 15 graves, for the fourteen dead and one preemptive grave that was going to be Giyuu’s if he didn’t come back from final selection

- Makomo met Shinjuro once I believe this in my soul, when he met the current hashira, he was at first confused where makomo was before meeting the actual water hashira

- Giyuu is the first of his kids to live past 17, the others never reached adulthood

- Tanjiro has been awoken in the middle of the night with the sudden urge to write a letter to giyuu to check up on him ((this is sabito and makomo))

Kyojuro

He feels so bad :( he tries literally everything he can do to get the master to pick someone else to go and while Kagaya feels awful for sending him all the other hashira were busy. He literally comes to you with the biggest frown on his face and tells you that he'll be gone for your birthday. He apologizes about 30 times and while you were upset you couldn't spend your birthday with your boyfriend you understood that he couldn't do anything about it. You both end up celebrating your a birthday a day before he leaves and he writes you multiple letters while he's gone wishing you a happy birthday and promising when he gets back he'll take you some place special.

Sabito

He's disappointed. He loves spending time with you on special events like this one and he felt really bad for missing your birthday. He apologizes and promises to spend all day with you when he gets back. He tries to be quick with the mission so maybe he can get back to you on your birthday but the demon that he was fighting was being difficult and he didn't make it. Even if you assured him you weren't mad at him he still felt awful and came and cuddled you as soon as he got home.

Is exactly how the conversation went. He tried to go to the master and explain that it was your birthday and that he had forgotten but Kagaya couldn't get another hashira to go on such short notice. He felt awful and tried to get the mission over with as quickly as possible but he had to stay and make sure the people who were attacked by the demon were alright. He celebrated your birthday with you a day late but he still felt bad and made sure to remember your birthday from now on.

Giyuu

He has never missed your birthday. Not once. Every year he has a whole day planned for you and him. So you can imagine he was really upset when he found out he had to go on a mission. He tells you almost as soon as he finds out and he apologizes and offers that when he gets back he'll plan something for you and him to do. You agreed and wished him good luck on his mission. He wrote letters to you every day he was gone wishing you a happy birthday and apologizing for missing your birthday.

Small fact: the four Becker siblings always had a hard time regrading clothing, especially Chosen and Dark.

The fact is that Overlords are much taller than your average Stickfigure and even taller than most Hollow Heads, so most of the clothing found in shops were too small for them.

So, before finding out about Tir na nOg, the four of them normally wore custom-made clothes (or occasionally clothes that were then modified to fit them)! Because of this, Dark and Chosen are good at sewing, while Second and Vic normally made their clothes by drawing them!

First thing I wake up and do is post sabigiyuu

Giyuu has misophonia. I DON'T MAKE THE RULES!

For those who don’t know, it sucks lmao. It’s when a person has a strong emotional reaction to specific sounds (like a fight-or-flight response). Imagine someone clicking a pen repeatedly. For the average person it’s either mildly annoying or it’s tuned out as background noise. For someone w/ misophonia though, it grates on your soul; makes you wanna rip your hair out, scream, cry, run away and jump out of your skin all at once.

Anyway back to my hc; This would probably make more sense to project onto Zenitsu or Tengen because of their expert hearing (& I’d like to say Zen suffers from miso too) but Giyuu is The Guy™️. it’s so easy to slap a label on him and for it to Fit. Y’know ?

He’s like a doll you can dress up and give various hairstyles to. A fresh cut of clay that can be shaped into anything your heart desires.

Sabito too honestly, they’re a set pair. I can’t sculpt giyuu while ignoring Sabito. Anyway I hc Sabito as a noisy eater (not messy like giyuu just loud) but when he learns that it’s a trigger sound for Giyuu he starts working on it.

He finds out about Giyuu’s misophonia early on in their relationship since they’re always together

Giyuu isn’t a fan of group dinners because most don’t know and the sounds just get to him. Sabito is quick to point out anyone’s loud & annoying habits

He’s just,,,so quick to defend Giyuu & Giyuu would do the same for Sabito if not more (they’re so in love I can’t)

i'm here to bring you more modern demon slayer because i wanna get back into it and also my car has decided to be difficult these past few days so i thought about how the kny peeps would deal with that.

not affected by car troubles: gyomei (for obvious reasons), douma (failed his driver's license four times so there's that), rengoku (something tells me he doesn't drive)

that might as well happen: giyuu (long sigh, then he calls sabito to pick him up and lets the mechanic deal with it), obanai ("that's just another bad thing on the long list of bad things that life has thrown at me." - "dude shut up")

OMG WE'RE STUCK IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE: mitsuri (not cut out for this)

THERE'S LITERALLY A MCDONALDS DOWN THE ROAD CALM DOWN AND LET ME DO MY SHIT: sanemi (learned how to fix his motorcycle on his own after he saw what the mechanics charged)

gets so mad that they scare the car into working again: shinobu (she just taps the wheel twice and clears her throat and the car runs as smoothly as ever), akaza (the good old trick of kicking the car into submission never disappoints)

the best possible person to deal with car troubles: kanae (keep calm and call someone who can fix this), sabito (this man works with elementary school children, if his car broke down in the middle of the desert with no water on board that wouldn't even make his top 10 list of most stressful events of his life)

oh the car broke down? don't worry baby we'll buy a new one: tengen.

Rey! It's great to hear from you again! :D I've been well- some ups and downs IRL but generally speaking I feel great! I hope the same to you! The universe so far has been tame- let's hope it stays that way lols. (YESH! I'm so glad akrekjjrkaejj :D Congrats again on your milestone!)

NOT SHINOBU HELP KJEJREJRKJEJKRJK Like you said, a single throat clear- BOOM the car is back up and running. She probably scares the mechanics out of overcharging her too- a single one of her scary smiles and their offering discounts and additions for free (everyone brings her to the shop with them when they can- she's outwardly so over it but internally pleased with the chaos she creates). And Akaza kicking it into submission karjeajklrkjeawkjrjke I can see Douma lounging in the backseat slurping on a gas station slushie watching Akaza beat his car up. "Go between the headlights- it'll blind them Za!" "Give them that one move you showed me the other day!" "You're winning-" "DOUMA IF YOU DON'T-"

Kanae and Sabito being team "We've got this" is honestly such canon events! Kanae and Sanemi might have some mild tension ("Baby, it's not your bike, it's your car. It's too different." "Don't worry about it- I can fix it!" But after Sanemi stares at things long enough he just kinda peers around the hood all sheepish like: "So uh....you still got that mechanic on speed dial?" Sabito's so chill like: "A kid got 2 markers stuck up one nostril- this is EASY!" He has snacks when he gets there for Mitsuri, a car big enough for everyone if it's a road trip (might bring Makomo and her car in case they got EVERYONE), the tow truck on speed dial and several ideal spots to stop and get dinner if they're hungry akejajrekreakj

TENGEN!!! God, if only kjakakrjejkrejkjre He's got the money for it sure! Honestly he probably hates driving (Big guy + Tiny seats = Screw it I'm walking everywhere) but will gladly get any of his girlfriends/wives a new car if needed. Another one to bring to the mechanic to prevent being screwed over- he's got that unintentional intimidation factor (and the money to cover it lols) He's also such a troll: One time he told Obanai he'd get him so new wheels and pulled up with a toy barbie car. (They ended up regifting it to Mitsuri's younger sister as a christmas present)

For your consideration: Rengoku doesn't drive but he does bike! He's got two: one for personal use to go everywhere ("I'll catch up with you guys! *bike jingle noises*) and one with two seats for when he and Akaza go out (He was absolutely FLOORED when he discovered it and called up Akaza mid purchase like: "Guess what I'm bringing home??? :D") He probably got them matching helmets and protective padding so they'd be the talk of the town when they went out (Akaza doesn't have the heart to tell him they look like that one elderly couple without the years- though it was kinda funny the time said couple challenged them to a race.) He'd have a little basket too filled with snacks and other little things. :D

oh no..... had a thought about the au where tanjirou is giyuu and ayame is sabito.........

tanjirou and ayame face the hand oni, but they're both so unprepared for it. tanjirou's rib is broken, his forearm is probably fractured and he's been limping since they managed their escape. it's almost too dark for ayame to see where they're hiding in the cave, but she can feel the terrible tremors of the hand oni as it hunts for them.

the terrified expression on tanjirou's face is what makes her decision for her.

the hand oni said "sweet little fox".

maybe if he sees the fox mask and cloud jinbei and nothing else, then they might have a chance.

or, well, tanjirou might have a chance. urokodaki-san would be sad if he didn't return. urokodaki-san doesn't have anyone anymore.

ayame tears the jinbei off tanjirou's shoulders, replacing it with her kimono while he's still disoriented. she pulls it loose around her, then snatches the mask off his head.

"what - ayame, what - ?"

"stay here," she says quietly, her expression hidden behind the mask urokodaki-san carved for him. "i'll lead the oni away. don't make any noise, then make your way down to the wisteria trees as soon as the coast is clear."

"the mask - "

"tanjirou." her voice is solemn. "whatever happens... tell my shishou i was always grateful for everything."

she disappears from the cave before tanjirou can demand answers.

murata finds tanjirou and helps him through final selection. there is only one casualty for final selection that year.

kamado tanjirou is the water hashira, and he wears a dark blue seigaiha haori, the pattern dyed red. he's the water hashira, so no one wonders why he wears seigaiha. the charcoal half of his haori is hard to explain, but no one will ask.

when sabito is faced with the boulder, a girl in a fox mask appears before him. she holds himself the way a master swordsman does, and her strikes are swift and merciless. she knocks him out in ten seconds and doesn't bother to wait for him to wake up.

he begrudgingly admits that the way she moves is beautiful.

another girl, also with a fox mask, but with the mask resting against the side of his head, is the one who greets him when his eyes open.

"sorry about ayame-san," she says with a rueful chuckle. "she isn't very patient."

ayame-san, sabito learns early on, doesn't speak much if she can help it. she doesn't linger, even if sometimes he feels like he's being watched when he's alone. she continues to use a bokken while he wields a live sword, but it doesn't matter; she is always the one who deals out the first strike. often the last one as well.

"ayame-san doesn't want to show off too much," hikari says as she braids a flower crown. "she's a bit different from the rest of us, that's all. she doesn't stay for urokodaki-san after all."

"then who does she stay for?" asks sabito.

hikari's smile is secretive as she rests the daisy crown in her dark hair. "one of these days, you should ask her, sabito. you might be the only person she answers."

three months later, ayame stands before him with a steel katana at her hip. she draws it slowly - almost reverently. sabito notices that the curve of it is slightly different; it's steeper, the kissaki almost menacing.

"so," she says in a measured voice, "after six months, you can finally face me as a swordsman. hikari-san did well training you."

"you had just as much to do with it, ayame-san," hikari calls out from the side.

sabito snarls. it pulls the scar on his cheek, making him look more dangerous.

"today is the day i win," he declares, unsheathing his own blade.

ayame tilts her head. he wonders if her lips follow the same downward curl of her mask, or if she smirks at him like he always imagined she has.

"then you'd better hit me with everything you have, sabito."

time slows around him. his nose twitches, picking up a strange scent. it's metallic and sharp, like a freshly polished katana. it winds through the air, and he finds his blade following its arc.

for the first time since they met, his blade reaches ayame first.

there is a moment of stillness.

sabito can't believe his katana sliced downward first. her arms are still raised, and she doesn't move as her sleeves fall downwards, exposing the kumihimo cords she has wound around her left wrist.

the fox mask splits in half - sliced vertically in a perfect line. when the wood falls to her shoulders, sabito is shocked to meet shockingly blue eyes.

ayame's lips are parted in surprise. as he watches, her lips curl into a small smile. the slightest twitch of the corners of her lips is both happy and sad.

"sabito..." she murmurs.

sabito can never catch ayame's scent. for the first time, there's a hint of charcoal and something floral lingering in the air, muted by the scent of a summertime rain.

"you did great. remember what you just did, ne?" her voice lowers. "win, okay, sabito? beat that guy too."

sabito glances at hikari in disbelief. she smiles at him encouragingly.

"ayame," he hears himself say, "who do you stay for?"

surprise flits across her features.

"hey," she chuckles sadly, "next time you see tanjirou, be sure to say hi to him. he's so gloomy nowadays."

sabito glances at hikari, but she's disappeared. when he turns back to ayame, she's gone too.

the only thing left in the clearing was the boulder, sliced in half. exactly the same way he had sliced ayame's mask.
