Envergure

Je casse les statues des idoles, je gratte les images d’Épinal, je prends possession de l’espace en lieu et place d’en être prisonnière. Je prends la mesure de ma taille réelle, et de comment elle occupe l’espace. Je peux m’y déployer, de toute mon envergure, dont je fais enfin seulement aujourd’hui l’expérience authentique. Elle n’a pas besoin d’être la plus grande; elle est juste mienne, et c’est suffisant. Elle a bien assez à offrir, comme couverture, comme moteur ou encore comme ombre contrastante. Je suis enfin devenue assez grande pour me dire et me croire.

Yess spot on parallels, I agree. For the design, you've all the tumblr posts talking about the symbolism of Dracula's forehead scar to thank for that haha. Character design is such a horribly weak spot for me that I'm not entirely sure if I would've included it if it weren't for all the analysis posts acting as a reminder 💀 Mina's forehead scar was the same way too! In DD2022 I gave her a slanting off-centre scar like Dracula's, thinking "thats the kind of scar a communion wafer held sideways would leave right since the edge touches the forehead", forgetting just how much better a cross/circle in the centre looks

14. Like in general? I made an animatic about an Au a friend and i made and while moving the pupils to show where the character is looking i had to move them one by one.....resulting in one looking to the left (or front for the character) and the other to the right. It looked so derpy i just started laughing and i could not look at my screen else i'd be laughing again xD

As I sit on the train heading home from work, I had to just reflect on my professional life. It hasn’t been a year since I’ve went back to the store to work. I am so proud of the work I’ve done. I helped so many people become permanent and even promoted within this same year. I’ve even stepped up and took on a leadership role and I’ve been getting a lot of positive feedback. Having my peers tell me I’m doing a good job is so amazing because working with them is one of the reasons I enjoy what I do.
