— SEBASTIAN (ft. chess)
Sebastian was perfect in everything; in cleaning, in cooking, in playing various instruments, in foreign languages, in gardening, even in singing and dancing. There was, however, one thing he couldn’t achieve fully well, and that was the game of chess.
Of course, he defeated others (I mean here; Grell, Agni, Bald or Finny) with ease, but when you offered him a game one day, his so far intact worldview changed dramatically. Eventually he found someone better than himself, but at the same time he felt so damn frustrated that he couldn’t win against your person. You were better than him, than Ciel, and even better than Mr. Tanaka, who was almost equal to him and the young lord.
“... Your move, Sebastian.” You announced by moving the bishop to the field of your choice, taking his black rook at the same time. “Are you going to give up, my love?” You smiled gently as you took a sip of delicious English tea with the perfect amount of sugar. The man looked at you in response, frowning and looking at the chess alignment after a short while.
“No. Everything is fine, I just need to think for a moment.” He said calmly, though his face expression seemed to hide the urge to swear. “I am impressed with how quickly you made such a confusing setup, darling.”
“Well, well. My grandpa taught me to play. As the saying goes, the student has surpassed the master.” You chuckled as you put your chin on your right hand while looking at the fingers of your man surrounded by white gloves, who decided to move the king to space F5. “Maybe someday you will surpass me, who knows?”
Sebastian stared at you out of the corner of his eye, nodding in delicate, almost invisible amusement.
“Maybe someday, dear. For now, I will give you the honorable title of the best chess player.”
Tumblr media
— UNDERTAKER (ft. drawing)
Drawing has been your passion since you remember and you loved to paint literally everything; still life, nature, huge landscapes, other people, animals, and even things that didn’t make much sense (Picasso was one of your biggest inspirations when it came to cubism). In addition, in your bag you always carried your favorite blue sketchbook in which you drew tiny thoughts or things you noticed while walking, working or drinking coffee in a cafe.
That day, however, you were sitting quietly on one of the chairs in the funeral parlor, and the Undertaker was also sitting nearby – he was writing names with concentration, calculating in his mind the number of deaths in the last month and year.
His calm face was really handsome from your perspective; the faint light of the lantern caressed his pale complexion, and his green eyes full of mischief stood out behind his fair hair. Every now and then you glanced at the tall man, then your eyes focused again on the small notebook whose pages were blank. I mean, they were not all empty; some of them had sketches of dogs on them, others sketches of flowers, and others featured the figure of a tall Grim Reaper.
When you finished your illustration, you smiled and nodded, satisfied with your work. A beautiful play of light, self-confident pencil strokes and small additions in the form of ivy and rosemary beautifully composed the whole black-grey picture of Adrian.
“Excause me, darling...?” You whispered hesitantly, not wanting to interrupt his work. Nevertheless, the man quickly looked in your direction and a wide smile appeared on his face.
“Yes, my little flower.” He asked, instantly standing up and forgetting about the paperwork – you were definitely more interesting than the dead, after all. You showed him your drawing with a slight blush on your face and he opened his mouth in slight shock. “It’s me?” You nodded, and the Grim Reaper just chuckled. “Am I really THAT handsome?” He joked and you just rolled your both eyes. A short time later, Undertaker praised your talent, asking if you’d like to hang some of your sketches on the board next to the entrance.
Tumblr media
— JOSUKE (ft. playing drums)
More than five years ago, you and your three friends started a music band. Since then, you’ve been focused on making your dreams come true, on small concerts played in the Morioh, on school performances, also on learning notes and practicing singing. You were the drummer and leader of ‘CR△WL’; your vast musical knowledge, willingness to develop your passion and daily rehearsals aroused great admiration from the rest of the band and from people who watched your slowly growing career. Of course, Josuke was no exception, on the contrary – he considered himself your biggest and most faithful fan, who with the greatest pleasure went on dates with you to music shops or bookstores with records of old bands.
The young man was delighted every time you played the instrument – just like years ago in your garage when you first played ‘Paranoid’ by Black Sabbath for him. He was smitten and would come over to your house to listen to your covers or help you make a video for your YouTube channel (you were pretty popular for tutorials, trivia, and drum videos).
“...Y/N, Y/N. Would you be able to play this song?”
That day, Josuke visited your house once again. Your mom made you two some snacks, and you grinned as you practiced another song for an upcoming concert at one of the smaller festivals this summer. Your boyfriend seemed to be excited like never before, so you asked what is the title of mentioned song. Hearing the familiar words, you just smiled, nodding your head in response.
Instantly, your both hands and right foot began to beat the drums, which making the dark-haired teenager’s face look very surprised.
“Y/N... You really know every song on this planet!”
Tumblr media
— ROHAN (ft. rapping)
Karaoke, bowls full of ice cream and fruit, carbonated drinks, hot snacks and great company were what you’ve been missing for the last few weeks. Focused on studies and work, you didn’t have time to rest properly; but you finally met with your closest friends and you also took Rohan with you.
You had a great time gossip with besties who talked about changes in their lives and new achievements, for example, at work. You were telling about your experiences as well with a huge smile, while Rohan was sitting right next to you, talking to some people from time to time. He wasn’t interested in large gatherings, but he couldn’t say ‘No’ to you either because you were too sweet that evening.
Suddenly, one of Cardi B’s songs was played in the background and you almost squealed.
“Ooooh, I see that someone want to sing, huh?” The blonde haired girl asked, and you just laughed, thanking her for the black microphone.
Rohan almost spit at his new shirt as soon as you started rapping the verses without any problems, without even looking at the screen where the lyrics were displayed. You had a great time dancing a bit in the middle of the small room. You looked at your partner with a smirk, sometimes sending a kiss or wink in his direction. You were literally in your world; you showing your energy and love for music so perfectly.
Rohan was really surprised.

the boys teasing Hanamiya for liking a girl one that you wrote earlier,,,, IT IS AMAZING,,,, SO CUTE,,, I LOVE IT,,, CHEF KISS MUA ,,, will there 👉🏻👈🏻 will there be a continuation where the boys find out he likes the girl and tried to help him get her
p1 here
Hara says Hanamiya likes you.
Hara also says that if you buried a berry underground, it would become a tuber and grow into one big berry with roots, which just goes to show that no one should listen to a word that guy says.
And, given that Hanamiya knows that that’s not how berries work, and especially given that Hanamiya has no interest in recalling the moment he called you cute (you, a mere acquaintance - no, less than that, a fellow student, or, even less familiar: a stranger who just so happens to attend the same school and the same classes as he does), Hanamiya elects to ignore every single word that comes out of Hara’s mouth.
The problem really begins when Matsumoto, a guy who makes a point of never kidding, strolls into practice one afternoon and says, “you’re not dating that girl in chemistry are you, Hanamiya?”
Hanamiya pauses from where he’s been jogging on the spot. “Are you kidding? What the fuck are you on about now?”
Yamazaki sniggers. With an impish grin, He passes a ball to Hara.
“It’s not that deep,” sighs Matsumoto, rolling his eyes, “I just heard her talking to her friends about you. The way she was talking - it sounded like the two of you were together.”
“Well, we’re not”.
The way Hanamiya frowns as he says that, looking distinctly preteen and faintly pink in the cheeks, makes even Matsumoto struggle to contain his smile. Everyone sees the way his lips just part, then slam shut, as he fights the impulse to ask what you had been saying.
And things get worse for the captain. Furuhashi catches him watching you during gym class - the excuse is that he’s pondering the feasibility of a female basketball team. One evening as Seto prepares to walk home with Hanamiya, he becomes privy to you thanking the man for his help in the most recent chemistry assignment. Surprising for two reasons, in Seto’s mind: a) how stupid were you to need help with that assignment, and b) since when had Hanamiya, king of enjoying people struggle over things he finds easy, been helping others with homework? It can’t be that you’ve blackmailed him, that much is for sure. So it has to be…
“Love,” declares Hara.
Matsumoto rolls his eyes - against his will, he is attending this If-Hanamiya-Gets-A-Girlfriend-He’ll-Stop-Making-Zaki&Me-Do-Laps meeting. His misfortune is in having done some group work with you last year, and thus in having your phone number.
“It’s a crush,” he corrects.
“Who cares? It’s enough for us to have some fun with.”
…That’s the level of care with which Hara has decided to approach the delicate operation of getting Hanamiya a girlfriend.

No Forgiveness Part I [Hanamiya x Reader]
TW: Mention of death / angst
Summary: Hanamiya has gone missing, but the hope was shattered, he’s dead. and that was not something [Y/N] could bear. And the culprit didn’t get the punishment they deserve. so, [Y/N] and her friend have to do something
Word count: 872
Hanamiya was really exhausted.
You agree to let him went home by himself. You didn’t want to make hanamiya annoyed more than he already is.
But you would never know that this will lead to tragedy.
The next morning hanamiya was gone missing, that was weird. Where should he be? His mother sounds so worried when seto picked up the phone. That was concerned with all of your friends. Furuhashi didn’t let his emotion show, but you sure that he was extremely worried. Seto woke up all the time, he can’t just go back to sleep like he always does. Hara still fooled around, but he didn’t enjoy it. Yamazaki asked the question all the time, he was scared that something might happen.
It was only one day, but it felt like years. You missed his nagging, his smirk, his warm body, his sincere smile that only show to you and his mother and many more of him. When you look at the blank table in front of you, you saw him sitting there, reading peacefully like always. What wasn’t had happened is you confessed to him, but you knew deeply that both of you have strong feelings for each other.
“[y/n]” Seto called you out, you snapped out from the thought and turn around to meet his amethyst orbs. “The principal wants to meet us”
“Me and you?”
“No, six of us” He looked calm, yet uneasy.
“What?... Don’t tell me that principal suspected us?” You breathed heavily
“Maybe yes. But calm down first, don’t need to be panic. Maybe he’ll get us some useful information to make us relieved for what had happened” seto put his hand on your shoulder and squeeze it tightly.
“Even so, I have bad feelings about this.” You hugged yourself and look at the ground
“Me either.”
Seto lead me to the principal’s room and when the door flung open. You felt the dark atmosphere flew through the air and you can smell it. Yamazaki looked like he can’t keep his breakdown emotions. Furuhashi looked stressed. Hara sat still. Everybody looked like they out of their minds, even the principal didn’t say any word.
“Come and sit Mrs.[y/n], Mr. seto” the principal drew his hand toward the empty chairs. You and seto sat on the chairs “Okay then, all of you are here now. You guys are the closet of hanamiya makoto right?”
“Yes,” furuhashi said.
“Good,” the principal nodded his head, then looked at yamazaki that looked extremely anxious. “What brings you guys here, maybe all of you already know. Yes, you’re the closest witnesses before hanamiya gone missing.”
“So, you need us to attest? Is that it?” seto raised his eyebrow.
“Yes. please be cooperative.”
“I let him went home by himself because I knew that if I’d object him, he’ll be mad and I don’t want that.” You tried to stay calm, but the heart that pounding in your chest won’t let you.
“Thanks for the cooperativeness of yours, little miss.” You nodded your head in response then sigh in relieved, you blink a few times, feel like tears dwelled in your eyes. You just didn’t felt really good, before furuhashi put his hand on your back to make you felt better.
“We have something to say to all of you.” the police officer said.
“What is it?” seto asked.
“We’ve found the traits of the car, that might be related to hanamiya makoto’s missing. It was an old white van that has basketball stickers on the side window,” he said and hand the picture to us, it was a picture from the closed-circuit camera. “It doesn’t have a license plate. So it was kinda hard to track it down. The other camera’s memory from the different corner gone missing.”
“What?!” Yamazaki screamed. “What do you mean by ‘gone missing’!? Are you kidding with us!?”
“Calm down hiro!” You yanked him down to sit on his seat.
“[y/n]! But-”
“Calm down you moron” seto growled, “It’s not that hopeless isn’t it?”
“Yeah, I know you’re upset but please… at least don’t yell.” you rubbed his arm.
“Tch...” Yamazaki hugged himself.
“Just like Mr.seto said,” The police officer said “It’s not that hopeless, because, in another side of the road, we can catch the same van. And if we investigate a little more, we can know where he is.”
“Thank god.”
“Wait, there’s no sign of extorting?” hara asked.
“No.” The police officer said.
“Strange, so what did they want?”Seto said to himself.
“Right? Why is that?” Hara patted his hair in uneasy feelings.
“Hmmm, that’s right...then okay, thanks for everything today. If we have any progress, I’ll tell your principal. Have a good day!”
Rrrrrrr
Such an annoying ringtone.
You picked up the phone, showed the time that is 5 in the morning. It’s too early because you can’t sleep but concerned about hanamiya. The person that has called you is Hara. You growled and picked up the call.
“What the hell dude? It’s at 5 am.”
“[y/n]...”
“...Kazu? W-What’s wrong?” you can catch the vibrate in his voice. Your instinct told you that it’s nothing but that “I-Is it about mako?”
“...Yes”
“What is it?”
“Hanamiya is dead”
To be continued

Sore Loser (Seto)
Seto Kentaro x Reader
Warning: Words & Suggestive Content
A sore loser takes his anger out on you when he loses to Kirisaki Daiichi.
Tumblr media
“There she is...”
You were completely unaware of all the attention you were receiving from across the hall. Your eyes were solely fixed on the tall figure before you. His slicked-back hair a sign that he had been called on by Hanamiya today.
“Sorry I missed it was hard getting time off work.” You pushed your hair back over your shoulder in an attempt to placate your wild locks. They had gone through significant turmoil as you rushed and ran the last few blocks.
“You should quit,” Hanamiya bluntly suggested. He wasn’t a fan of overachieving students like you who tried their best to the point of exhaustion.
His blunt statements no longer fazed you. Ignoring him completely, you strode past him to attach yourself to the owner of your heart. He was warm and sweaty but you could care less. The sight of his slightly exhausted face made you want to take him back to your place for a nap.
Seto comfortably leaned into you, his hand resting on the small of your back. His lips gently pressing against your forehead in the usual gentle greeting ritual that was a stark contrast to his appearance.
“You should have gone straight home.”
It wasn’t that he didn’t appreciate your presence, rather he was worried knowing how hard they worked you at your part-time job.
“I wanted to cheer for you.”
Hara pointed out you were still in your uniform which did nothing for him, unlike your usual short school uniform skirt. “Shouldn’t you wear something sexier to raise our spirits?”
The comment earned him a glare and click of your tongue. You knew “I don’t give a f*ck about your spirit.”
Unbeknownst to you, the opposing team was grumbling as they glanced in your direction. A couple of them scowled feeling a sense of misplaced anger towards you who they had seen several times cheering on their cheating rival. Their captain instructed everyone to get over the loss and get ready to leave.
A few of the younger members didn’t agree with him. They thought they had a duty to look out for their seniors. They wanted to do something about the injustice they faced.
“I’ll be waiting outside.” You let go of Seto’s hand so he could follow the guys into the locker room. The night was relatively warm but the cool breeze made up for it. It was ideal idling around weather.
You leisurely walked with your phone in hand, mindlessly scrolling through social media until you got to a bench behind the gymnasium that was empty. It never crossed your mind to take a look around so you were legitimately startled when someone called your name.
“Y/N-”
A guy with light brown hair sat beside you on your left while a blonde took the right seat. One look at their uniform was all you needed to know why they were here. This wasn’t your first time being approached by guys from other schools. It was your experience that told you it was best to avoid them.
“That’s your name right?” His eyes roamed to your chest where your nametag gave away that he was indeed correct.
You got up to leave but only took a few steps when the light haired guy quickly caught up blocking your way and nearly making you bump into him. You took a step back only to bump into his friend.
“What the f*ck do you want?”
They were both slightly taken back by your language, not expecting the expletive.
“You’re that guy’s girlfriend right?”
“That’s none of your business-” when you took a step to the side they followed.
“That guy hurt our captain’s shoulder. Coach said he might be out for the rest of the season.”
Honestly you weren’t in favor of the tricks or their manipulative plays. After watching for so long you were desensitized to their behavior. It was beyond you to feel their pain. Instead you celebrated Seto’s victory.
You sighed.
“Listen, talking to me isn’t going to change anything so back off and go home.” You looked back to his friend making sure they knew you were talking to both of them.
This time when you tried to leave the light haired guy held onto your arm and tightly pulled you back. The quick motion caught you off-guard for a moment causing you to crash into him.
The moment was all seen by Seto who had been looking for you. He didn’t know what their business was with you and he didn’t care. All he knew was what he saw.
“Oh they better run,” Hara taunted with laughter when he saw Seto walk faster than he has ever before. “Should we watch?”
Hanamiya didn’t even stop to look. “What’s the point, it’ll be over the moment they see him.” He knew physical violence was unnecessary for such a scary looking guy like him.
Those first years were nothing but benchwarmers. They had only seen Seto from afar, failing to recognize how overpowering the army of one could be. As soon as he came up to them he pried the unknown guy’s hand off of you with no effort.
You happily joined his side now that they could no longer stand in your way. When you reached for his hand Seto noticed a bruise forming on your wrist.
“Did they do this to you?”
The guys took a step back, their faces a mix of anger and frustration. “We did nothing compared to you. Our captain’s shoulder is probably broken-”
“So?” He caught them off with one word. Then ignored them for a moment to grab his jacket out of his bag when he felt the wind pick up. He draped it over your shoulders to ensure your warmth.
“Better?”
You nodded appreciating his attention to detail.
His lips curved up at the sight of his oversized jacket on you. It was gone in an instant when he turned his attention back to the offenders.
“Don’t come near her again,” Seto’s voice seemed deeper when he warned them. “If you have a problem with me then you come to me.”
The guys had to stretch their necks to look at him. The height difference was enough of a threat, however these two knew Kirisaki Daiichi would deliver on their threats on or off the court.
“Whatever, let’s go.”
“That’s no fun,” Hara booed when he saw them leave with their tails between their legs.
You leaned on Seto to take your shoe off and throw it at Hara. The bubble-popping weirdo caught it despite your wishes to have it hit him.
“Don’t mind him,” Seto picked you up and carried you over to Hara to retrieve your shoe. He took a hold of it and continued to walk home with you in his arms.
“I can walk.”
“It’s faster this way.”
You didn’t mind the stares but you wondered where this burst of energy came from. Usually after games he lazily leaned on you the entire walk home. When he walked past your home and into his you only gave him a look of confusion.
“From now on you aren’t allowed to leave my side.”
“We literally live next door to each other.”
He nodded in understanding but, “No one is home.” He couldn’t leave you to fend for yourself again. From now on he had to pay closer attention to your safety.
He brought you to his room and finally set you down.
You were touched by his sudden overprotective behavior brought on by today’s incident. “I’m fine Ken-kun” you brought him over to sit on his bed. With him seated you stood in front of him, between his legs, now able to meet his eyes. “I’m actually pretty tough, you know?”
“I know,” his arms wrapped around you. “I still worry.”
“I know,” you copied his monotonous response. A giggle erupted at his stern look. “Thank you for worrying.”
At this height you were better able to kiss him, so you did. First it was a peck on the forehead then on the lips.
But a peck wasn’t enough.
Seto held you closer as he captured your lips. The two of you kissed in the silence of his home forgetting the whole ordeal. When it got intense he fell back onto his fluffy bed bringing you along on top of him.
One thing you loved about your boyfriend was his passion for rest. Since he loved to sleep, his bed was always well-maintained. He kept the sheets clean, invested in a good mattress, and pillows.
“Oh,” you smirked playfully. “I thought you wanted me to rest?”
“Rest after.”
-end-
A/N: Thank you for encouraging me to write this one and hopefully I’ll get to Hanamiya too ^^

aftermath of manager betraying the boys p4
part 1 here, 2 here, 3 here
It’s Friday. She’s about to leave home for her afternoon shift at the bookshop, slipping her shoes on just as the door swings open.
“Honey, I’m home!” Her husband of one year tosses his rucksack to the side, and wraps his arms around her waist, “have a nice day at work, yeah?”
Leaning into his embrace, she turns her head to kiss his cheek, “you need to stop acting like you’re in a sitcom.”
Then, quietly, knowing how much he hates the topic, she adds, “how was the physio?”
“Fine.”
One final kiss to her forehead and he walks away with the limp he’s had ever since Yamazaki’s foot made contact with his spine. He can’t play judo anymore. He sees a physio once a week, and yet there’s been barely any progress since the appointments began. He was a man whose motto was “push through the pain”, but you can’t push through chronic pain. A man who lived for judo, and now all he lives for is his pain meds in the morning.
(And she never snitched. Gentleman than he is, he didn’t push her, but he wanted her to. He said that if they told on Hanamiya and his gang, they’d be expelled and she wouldn’t have to worry anymore.
“Look at what happened when you told the headmaster about their behaviour on the court,” he had said.
But she was looking at it. She is still looking at it, remembers it every day, every time she looks at him and his limp. And so, she had sworn to break up with him if he ever dared to snitch.
God she’s vicious. Undeserving. Hanamiya was right.
——
Excluding a group of children who screamed her ears off over a new instalment of some shoujo manga, her shift passes without a hitch. Outside, it’s dark and dreary. Drizzle batters the windows. But the shop itself is cosy, more so when you’re at the counter in a thick jumper. With one hand, she’s updating the shop’s blog on next week’s offers. With the other, she’s bringing her thermos of hot chocolate to her lips. It’s a lovely evening, with no customers to bother her. And, in just one hour, she’ll be on her way home, and Friday’s are movie nights.
“Excuse me, ma’am, could you direct me to the crime section?”
She hadn’t heard anyone enter. She flinches at the sound of a voice.
“Yes, it’s just on-“ she looks up. Pauses.
It’s not fear, it’s not dread that flits across her face: it’s horror.
How ironic. This was all because she snitched on them, but Seto must have told them where she worked.
In their first year of high school, she and Seto sat together in almost all their classes. Any group projects, they did together. Lunches, they spent together. His being there was the main reason she’d agreed to being the team’s manager. And, until the very end, when she was walking to the headmaster’s office with that damning USB in her skirt pocket, she’d still been thinking that Seto was a good guy. Yes, he’d ignored the hostility the team spewed - but that made him guilty of apathy, not cruelty, right?
It took hearing him laugh as he watched the others beat her boyfriend up for her to realise that he was just like the rest of them: entertained by violence.
Why she’d thought he’d keep his promise - when she asked him not to tell anyone where she worked - even she didn’t know.
“Ma’am, you still there?”
Hanamiya leans over the desk, and grins at her. It’s been six years since they last saw each other. He’s a little taller now, dressed far more formally than he used to be (black suit, sleeves cuffed, and a long black coat like the Grim Reapear), and his tone is formal though relaxed - but that big Hanamiya grin hasn’t changed.
There’s no one else in the shop. Yet, even if there was, this situation would always feel like Her-and-Hanamiya.
“The crime section, yes,” she shoves her hand below the desk so he can’t see them shaking, “take the stairs over there. The crime section will be on the other end of the basement.”
“You know, my eyesight’s not great. How about-“
“Fuck off.”
The grin slips off his lips.
He straightens his back, looks around - looks at each and every CCTV camera on the floor - then turns back to her.
“What would your boss think, if he knew you were a) speaking so rudely to a customer and b) refusing to support a customer with an eye disease. I have glaucoma, don’t you know?”
He’s a cunt. He’s a lying fucking cunt. He’s a disgusting piece of shit, whom her mother adored. She insisted that Hanamiya was a good sort, based on how kindly he helped her around the house when the team would stay the night. She with her glaucoma, that she fought with so valiantly until she died of a heart attack. Hanamiya knows she’s dead. The whole team attended the funeral with their beloved manager, letting her cry on their shoulders, holding her hand, offering her tissues. Hara even completed her memorial speech for her when she couldn’t.
And Hanamiya also would tell her boss about her behaviour. He’d tell the tale in such a way there’d be no arguing with him; her boss would fall in love him with, and she’d be unemployed by the end of the day.
For someone who warned her what happens to snitches, with her now husband’s blood across his palms, he sure is comfortable with being a snitch himself.
So she gets up slowly, holding onto her chair as tight as she can, so her fist doesn’t make contact with Hanamiya’s mouth. Steps away from the desk. And, keeping her eyes fixed in front of her, committed to ignoring him, walks towards the stairs with Hanamiya in tow.
“We should hang out sometime,” natters on Hanamiya, “reminisce the good old days. How’s that bloke of yours? Are you still with him after we… redecorated his ugly mug? Not that there was much to like originally. You were just desperate.”
“Don’t talk about him like that,” she snaps. she’s fair game, but her lover is the only good thing in this world, the only sun shining.
Hanamiya continues. “If you were so desperate for some male attention, we could have pimped you out to someone. There was no need to cause such a fuss just to get some judo moron to sleep with you. Does he even sleep with you? Back in the day, it was the male students who got along best with him, wasn’t it? Big fan of the male first years-“
She can’t bite her tongue any longer.
“You’re grown ass adults now,” she spits. “Just because you’re realising you peaked in high school, and the rest of your lives will be spent as angry depressed salarymen in shitty marriages with angry depressed kids, doesn’t meant you need to take it out on me.”
Hanamiya pauses, as if surprised - or mock surprised. As she turns the corner to the crime section, she hears wolf-whistling and applause.
“She’s still got it,” says Hara, referencing the times the team used to perform rap battles while watching each other practise shooting.
She won everytime. She was the “rap battle queen”, and when she got a 3-pointer from the bench, after coming up with a lethal bar about Matsumoto’s hair - or lack of - she was deemed the queen of the team full stop. Those were the good days. Yamazaki, ceasing to clap, has a solemn look in his gaze like he’s thinking the same thing.
The rant has given her some more confidence. Even knowing that the crime section is the only part of the bookstore that has no cameras on it, and that that’s probably why they chose it, she still feels better. They can’t do their worst in a public location. And it’s only forty minutes until she can close up shop, head to the local police station, only a five minute walk away, and tell them that she’s being followed by an obsessive boyfriend and his friends, could she please stay at the station till they walk away. As long as they don’t find out her current address, or anything about her husband, she’ll be alright.
Thirty-nine minutes now.
“It really has been a while.” Before she can think to push him away, Hara wraps his arms around her, his weight pressing her into the corner, and whispers in her ear, “I missed you, you know?”
“Leave her be, Hara,” Yamazaki sighs.
“Jealous much,” replies Hara, but he does let go, adding, “you’ve put on weight. No more basketball to keep you fit, ey? I was the same way for a bit. After you happened.”
38 minutes. Just 16 two minutes left to go.
“You know, you’re the reason Zaki didn’t get to his first choice university. Because you gave him a record.”
“Sucks to be him,” she retorts, just as Yamazaki mumbles, quietly,
“That’s not true. My parents sorted it out.”
“But it could have been true,” interjects Hara, “which is why someone should be showing more remorse.”
Hara hasn’t changed, that much is clear. He argues with the same pointless, childish, circular arguments that he’s had since he was in high school, whose logic never had to make much sense as long as he had it in his mind that he was superior to whoever he was arguing with. Even his hair colour hasn’t changed. And these stupid remarks now aren’t much different to the times he would pull her ear or punch her in the arm. Time has killed much of the malice he used to have towards her, leaving nothing but that same demand for attention. Plus - a confusion as to why he wants that attention, like a bully who targets their crush.
Had she not snitched, would she have ended up like this too - forever trying to return to the days of high school? Or was it because she snitched that the rest of them got stuck in the time loop, clinging onto the life they lived before they realised they weren’t above the law?
There’s no juvenile laws to protect them anymore. Plus she doubts that their parents would be happy to get them out of trouble, now that they’re adults who’ve been given everything they need to have a successful future. They’re not going to hurt her, really hurt her, in a situation where they could face the consequences; they must know she’ll go straight to the police.
They can’t hurt her but they also can’t leave her be.
With this in mind, she starts to speak.
“When I said I did it for your sakes, I meant it. It wasn’t from the moral high ground that you perceived it to be. I genuinely meant it. You’ll never know how many times I thought about throwing away the USB and carrying on as if the team’s - our team’s - behaviour was normal. I barely slept for the nights leading up to that final day, and I barely slept afterwards. To this day, part of me feels guilty. I threw up in the headmaster’s office when I showed him the clips. He thought it was because I was so disgusted - but it wasn’t. It was just, when you watched the videos,” her voice cracks, “you could tell we were all friends. I was watching those videos thinking what a horrible person I was to betray you all like that. I was-“
She takes a shaky breath. Her eyes are burning as she fights the urge to cry.
No one else speaks.
“The worst part of it is, I was never planned on doing it. I started recording during practice, after matches, whatever, because I wanted to make a film of us. I was going to present it to you all at the end of our third year, as a memento of our time together.
But the more time I spent editing, the more I realised what you - we - were really like. We were so cruel. I’d never realised it until I was watching us as pixels on a screen. God, the things we said - honing in on people’s physical weaknesses, with no respect for the actual game, and ignoring the fact people could actually be crippled for life thanks to one stupid basketball match. Jokes about beating people up for fun that became actually beating people up for fun. Comments on how you’d make people pay for going against you, that got increasingly explicit and violent over the course of the year. Or that time a guy yelled at me after a match, and you were with me, Zaki, you overheard. Yes, he shouldn’t have called me a bitch - but you could have killed him if Seto hadn’t showed up to help me pull you off him. What future would you have had then?
The entire fucking team was edging closer to doing something that would be in your records for the rest of your lives. Practice after school was less about basketball and more about honing this pack mentality where all that mattered was violence with no consequences. What I showed the headmaster was the mild stuff. I deleted the really incriminating bits, like Furuhashi holding a knife to someone's throat to school, or Hara waterboarding one of the health committee kids.
We didn’t need any of that. Hanamiya, with your brains, you could have developed any sort of team, you could have learnt any skill you wanted. Why did you have to pick hurting people? Kiridai could have been a really good, genuinely good basketball team. You guys were all so talented!”
Tears fall to the carpet as she stares down at the floor, her fists clenched, her voice growing quiet.
“And I loved every moment I spent with you all. I loved every single one of you. I loved pre-match prep, running around an unknown school to figure out where the toilets were, scouting out opponents in stupid disguises, playing streetball at dawn in an area I would never have felt confident to walk around with you there, or team sleepovers at my house where we’d fall asleep together on the sofa. I still dream of you all now, and I wake up crying, knowing that I was the one who ruined it. I’m sorry.” She looks them each in the eyes as she says this; her voice is loud again, and resolute, “I’m sorry. I was naive, I was self-righteous, and I ruined everything.
I’m really fucking sorry.”
She wipes the tears off her face one final time, and says, “The shop will be closing soon. Hanamiya, I directed you to the crime section as requested. If you want to make any purchases, I’ll be at the counter but please make them in the next twenty minutes. Thank you.”
She walks away.
No one calls her back.

hiii i hope you have a nice day!!! ❤ i can ask everyone's opinion when they meet the manager for the first time?
Hanamiya Makoto
obviously he’s the one that has to approve your being manager, so his opinion is formed when you’re still a ‘civilian’
main thoughts are just a short checklist tbh: are you too morally righteous, are you liable to not listen to him, will you start trouble where he doesn’t want it started
but, to your face, he seems friendly enough - if not snarky, and a little mocking, as usual
Hara Kazuya
goes without saying that his first thoughts are about trying to figure out how he can best bother you
he takes a bit of a “i don’t care why hanamiya suddenly agreed to having a manager, but fresh meat is fresh meat”
a little flirtatious, quite nosy, irritatingly fond of teasing you, but also very easy to talk to so you don’t mind him much
Matsumoto Itsuki
offers a gruff ‘hello’ but that’s about it
not particularly interested in making friends with who he assumes is just another hanamiya pawn
but he’s not going to deliberately antagonise you either, and he is a helpful lad
so he might just end up becoming your friend anyhow
Yamazaki Hiroshi
he’s a little awkward meeting you, cause he really doesn’t know what to think of you
but if you smile at him, he’s like “yeah, you’re alright”
so he’s often right behind hara when the lad starts teasing you, and he’ll tell him to knock it off, or help you out
a good (never 100% not socially awkward) ally
Furuhashi Kojiro
awkward man says nothing to you, and spends a lotta time staring at you from the distance, like he’s plotting a murder
so you might think he hates you, or that he is in fact a murder, but, in reality, he has approximately zero thoughts about you
he’ll make up his mind on you later; right now, he’s more intrigued by why hanamiya’s agreed to this or even picked you
Seto Kentaro
heard that there was gonna be a manager (from hanamiya), before anyone else on the team did
presumes, before meeting you, that you’re either very smart or very stupid
after meeting you, he assumes that it’s probably more of later (don’t take it personally - he thinks that about most people)
polite but not going out of his way to help you or befriend you

Can we have what the kiridai boys would do if their cute manager have an upcoming birthday ? Like would they throw a lil birthday surprise, or would they just be nonchalant & just go on their days like normal maybe some teasing here and there ?
these lads are all about surprise parties, bc part of the fun is convincing you that they’ve forgotten your birthday completely
and most of them are very good liars too (of course)
that is, except for zaki whose good little heart wants to tell you happy birthday first thing (but who is monitored by hara the whole day)
and also except for seto, who does have a v good poker face, but who’s not lying because he’s actually forgotten
so you spend the whole day thinking “dickheads”, but then, when the school day’s over, and hanamiya tells you to hurry up to practice…
surprise!
nothing happens.
that’s part of the trick: having the party right after school is too obvious, and also they wouldn’t be able to exercise if they’d eaten cake five minutes prior
anyway so, at this point, you’re probably feeling a little miserable
(luckily zaki’s too busy practicing so is distracted from feeling bad and thus being driven to spoil the surprise)
and then, it’s only post practice, that the “surprise” actually begins
but in the worst possible way cause these are high school kids, not party planners
it goes as follows
furuhashi (chosen because he’s not got a reputation for being a trickster): manager, have you seen my tie
manager, who just wants to go home: why would i have seen your tie
furuhashi (carrying on with the ruse well because he doesn’t tend to show emotions on his face regardless): can you help me look in the changing room
manager: there are 5 probably naked boys in there, so no
furuhashi: *straight up grabs and drags manager in*
surprise!
birthday party in this case means one party-paper-chain-decoration-things (you know what i mean), everyone (but not hanamiya) wearing a little party hat, and of course a cake + presents
5 presents to be precise because, again, seto forgot
anyway you negotiate to bring the cake outside so you don’t have to eat it in a changing room that stinks of sweat (hara’s brilliant party planning didn’t think that one through)
so party becomes the 7 of you sitting cross-legged in the gym fighting over cake (another flaw in hara’s plan - it is very difficult for the birthday person to eat as much cake as they want, when surrounded by 6 ravenous post-practice teens)
at least the gifts are good!
well zaki, furuhashi and matsumoto’s gifts are; hara’s is a joke, and hanamiya’s is related to your role as a manager
but it’s a good fun time all around, 10/10 banter, even when, whilst the boys walk you home, a stranger laughs at seeing the bunch of you still wearing party hats
and then on the following saturday, the bunch of you spend the whole day together
which isn’t uncommon, given streetball matches, the lot of you having no other friends, etc
but this saturday, it’s less basketball and more just hanging out, maybe going somewhere fun
(also seto actually remembering his gift for you)
and you get to choose where to eat lunch, which is the ultimate honour

Not sure if this has been asked before but, do you think any of the KiriDai or Imayoshi would fall for someone who's got a shitty personality as them (the KiriDai at least)? Not like hurting a person physically but very spiteful and antisocial kind of girl? Why or why not?
i don’t think of being antisocial as having a shitty personality; spitefulness can be, but it varies a lot person to person. anyway, so i’ve gone for would they like those specific traits in a s/o instead.
Imayoshi Shouichi - Would he like you, maybe date you? Yes. Would he truly fall for you? It’s 50/50. The thing is, he'd enjoy approaching you when it’s clear you don’t want to talk to anyone, and he’d find your spiteful nature entertaining (especially cause he can guess perfectly just how much you hate others and his presence. And he’s also very good at making mean comments!), but up to a point. Those traits make him interested in you, yet Imayoshi’s got his head screwed on his shoulders. He knows he sucks, but he knows also how to succeed in this world. He may not be willing to consider a long term relationship with someone who’s not going to make an effort to hide personality trait when necessary, and keep up false pretences.
Hara Kazuya - Depends. For the spitefulness, he’s fine with someone who makes bitter/catty comments (he’ll probably find them funny) but he needs a light-hearted laugh sometimes too - so spitefulness to an extent, but not someone 100% like that. He’d enjoy annoying someone antisocial with his presence, so he might end up falling for them. But the relationship would only work if they didn’t mind him dragging them around with him sometimes, and putting up with him wanting to go do stuff with them.
Hanamiya Makoto - Bro he’s got so much bitterness and cynicism in him, he’d love being with someone who feels the same way about everyone and everything. Your being antisocial wouldn’t be too much of a problem. Would he occasionally put you in situations where you were forced to socialise, just so he could enjoy how irritated you got? Yes. (That said, tbh, I feel like a relationship between the two of you has a high likelihood of being seriously flawed. The two of you would egg each other on, getting increasingly nasty and spiteful until it starts getting taken out on each other.)
Seto Kentaro - Absolutely no problems with you being spiteful towards other people; he’s never bothered to be like that but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t think it sometimes. Also not keen on socialising too much, or going on tons of dates, so the antisocial thing works for him (as long as you’re willing to socialise once or twice a year and be his date to a family event - it’s important for appearances.)
Yamazaki Hiroshi - Definitely not. a) I don’t agree with kurofes on much, but I do agree with it that Zaki would mostly fall for cheerful types. b) I don’t think it’d be good for him to have a spiteful s/o; he’d internalise their criticisms of other people. c) He’s not going to force someone anti-social to spend time with him, but he’s pretty social, so he’d end up feeling miserable. So I doubt he’d fall for someone like this, and, if he somehow did, the relationship would make him fall out of love very quickly.
Furuhashi Kojiro - Probably. He’d be able to handle that kind of personality very well - he's known that feeling of spitefulness many a time (though, for him, it rarely comes out in words, more just glares and, rarely, violence), and he likes his own space too. Aka he doesn’t consider either of those traits as bad. He’d enjoy spending time with this kind of person (provided they don’t start insulting things he likes), so falling for them isn't unlikely.

aftermath of manager betraying the boys; p3
by popular request... for "I hope your 2021 is going great and that you are doing well! If you wouldn't mind, would you consider continuing the betrayal manager scenario? 👀" anon, and
"Can we get a Part3 for the manager betrayal that it was her twin or something😭???? I-I can't sleep help (it's fine if you don't want to) anyways stay hydrated 😘. -🐷" anon and
"Part three for the manager betrayal?? Are the trashies going to keep bullying her or ..." anon and
"Hey I know the ask box is closed but when its open again, do you think you could write a third part to the manager betrayal where she gets revenge at the boys and crushes them and makes them scared of her LOL that second part was written very well and im fuming at what they've done to her" anon and @aylablack15 too.
i'm glad people enjoyed the previous parts, especially enjoyed seeing different viewpoints on what this final(?) part should be, and variation in whether people sympathise with the boys or not.
for people who don't know this series, part one is here and part two is here .
and, without further ado...

“Really, I can’t believe you’re graduating soon, Kazuya. I still remember how you cried on your first day of nursery. And now look at you, a young man, all grown up.”
Hara rolls his eyes as his younger brother snickers, and his older brother hides his laugh behind a cough. It’s the bimonthly family dinner today - also known as the only time all brothers are together - and, of course his mother is being sentimental. Whilst all his dad has expressed is surprise that Hara actually made it through all four years of university, his mother has been getting teary-eyed at the idea of it all. (Whether that’s solely due to Hara, or rather her dreams of getting her youngest out of the house soon too, is a separate matter.)
“Me as a functioning member of society,” mutters Hara, shaking his head, “fancy that.”
Dinner continues on that note of Hara vehemently denying that he’ll be a true adult anytime soon, as his older brother agrees that it fucking sucks, and his younger brother snorts obnoxiously at every reference to the younger Kazuya. In particular, he’s been laughing at their mother’s gift for Kazuya’s graduation. An album full of photos from his youth.
Having been looking through the pile of photos again today, she lays one on the table, “that reminds me. Who was this?”
Hara leans across the table to see the photo clearer. It’s a post-match picture, for sure, judging by how everyone in it is smiling and sweaty. 7 people feature: Hara making the rock’n’ roll sign with his left hand, Yamazaki and Matsumoto with their arms around one another, Seto with his eyes half-open, Hanamiya with a basketball balanced on his index finger, Furuhashi at the side standing stiffly, piggybacking the seventh person. Who knows whether the seventh person is smiling or not - their face has been scribbled over in black ballpoint ink.
“You know, I don’t even remember anymore,” replies Hara. In part, he’s being honest - it’s been years since he thought of that figure, and their fingers making bunny ears behind Seto’s head. “I was probably being childish when I doodled on it.”
But, it’s funny. It’s been all these years and yet Hara still feels rage burn within him at the sight of it.
A week later, Hara reunites with Seto, at a cafe a few minutes from his university building. They make an even weirder duo now than they did back in high school. Seto dressed in all black, the only colour a white handkerchief in his top coat pocket; Hara in sweatpants and a hoodie, his hair dyed bright green.
“Man, whose funeral are you attending dressed like that?” Hara grins as Seto sits down at the table opposite him.
“Hopefully yours,” is the reply.
The old team doesn’t meet as much as they used to, yet Hara feels like a kid again when he’s talking to Seto, who’s matured in so many ways but still maintains that slothful mockery. Over cake and coffee, they discuss the good old days and how boring university has been in comparison. Hara complains about not wanting to be a capitalist slave, Seto telling him that even the rockstars he idolises were, in part, such slaves. And, at some point, the conversation turns to the photo. How it made Hara feel seeing that face, or lack of it, again. That curious bitterness.
“It’s the recency effect,” Seto takes a sip of his coffee, "some cognitive bias shit. You remember the most recent situation with that person, despite what came before, and that’s what influences your thoughts on them the most. We didn’t part with her on a good note, after all.”
Hara chuckles, “that depends on whose side you were on.”
He closes his eyes and remembers the last time he saw their beloved manager’s face.
There was nothing stopping them, that was the problem. The team had been disbanded, with no chance for the boys to return to the basketball club if it was ever reopened. Hanamiya had had his relationship with his mother soured, and he’d been kicked out of the disciplinary committee, which meant there was really nothing left to hold him back. Especially not the disciplinary committee, whose fear (respect?) of him grew even stronger after he left. And Hanamiya was usually the one to keep the others in check.
She had thought she was saving them, but they’d lost pretty much everything instead. Now, they only had problems, no restraints, and a toy to take those frustrations out on.
To be fair to her, their manager-chan did try to fight back after some point. She must have realised that any past relations were now rotting six feet under, too far down to be brought back to life, and that her old companions had nothing better to do. Word in the school corridors was that she went from club to club asking if they’d let her join, in attempts of finding an ally. Everyone said no, they didn’t want the trouble. That is, everyone apart from one club - the judo club. With a total of one member. A tall and muscular third year, kind to everyone but with a keen sense of morals. Brunette too, coincidentally.
That alliance worked for about a week. Catching sight of her with the brunette kept Hara and the others away - he wasn’t stupid enough to pick a fight he couldn’t win, it would make him look like a moron. And Judo-Man was everywhere where she was. Probably had a crush on their beloved manager, Hara remembers Matsumoto joking (they got closer, strangely, in the aftermath of the breaking up of the club), probably jerked off to her “thank you so much, senpai, for saving me!!” squealing.
The funny thing is, that tactic of hers might have worked, if Judo-Man hadn’t resembled Kiyoshi Teppei so closely. That was enough to mean Hanamiya would never let this go. One evening, he arranged for the team to meet up. Teach this moral fucker a real lesson about morals when it comes to fighting - that there are none if you want to win. That poor fuck got a lesson on every single move in the Kiridai Basketball Team inventory. Furuhashi even brought a knife.
And what was funnier was that they had no real problem with him, except for how he got involved in their business, and the colour of his hair. They might have even let him go after a few kicks and punches, had it not been for manager-chan in the background, begging for them to let him go. Hurt her instead. Leave him be.
Hara remembers it well - the feeling of his heel meeting Judo-Man’s chest, the sight of blood making his own roar so loud that he couldn’t hear himself think. Seto holding their precious manager back, clamping his hand over her mouth when she tried calling for help. Yamazaki spitting in her direction as they left.
They’d left her poor victim lying on the ground unconscious, and let their manager call an ambulance for him. But only after Hanamiya had given her a final piece of advice.
“We here at Kiridai operate on a two strikes system. You snitch a second time and you’re out.”
Both she and Judo-Man never showed up on the school grounds again. Rumours were rife. Some said that he’d gotten her pregnant and they’d run away from home together. Others said that she’d killed herself.
“But she didn’t”, says Seto now, “I met her, a few months ago. She was working at bookshop I had stopped by at. I didn’t recognise her at first, until she recognised me, and the look on her face made it easy to put a name to the face.”
“And you never did anything really bad to her,” Hara takes one final slurp of his drink, “I wonder what she’d think if she saw me.”
“Don’t go out of your way to find out. We did enough to her.”
“Yeah, yeah, live and let live. It was just a thought, that’s all.”
But it’d be interesting to see her again. Partially to see her expression, but mostly to see how he’d feel. Would it remind him of his violent youth, bring that that brilliant anger that encouraged itself onwards to excessive levels? Or has he matured now? Would he feel guilt? If she’s hot these days (only if she’s hot), maybe he’d even apologise.
“Where did you say you saw her again?”
Seto rolls his eyes. Hara cackles. He’s thinking that Hanamiya would love to get involved with a game like this.

Hello, this might be oddly specific, but can I please have some kiridai boys hcs with s/o who's into taxidermy and collecting bones (both animal and human ones). It's my main interest, and having all the 'weird' stuff (e.g. few dead animals and whole ass real human skeleton) makes me afraid of getting to know new people, because they tend to be scared of me after they see this collection of mine or even when they hear what I like to do in my free time Thank you and have a nice day!
hanamiya makoto
this man has a whole ass smile light up on his face when he sees your collection
very interested (worryingly interested) in the process behind cleaning bones
plus, the more you tell him, the more his own expertise about chemistry kicks in and makes him want to find out even more
suddenly, he’s bringing bones to you that he’s somehow found (don’t ask) to do experiments with, in figuring out what will strip the bone of flesh fastest, if any chemicals can make them whiter, etc
i guess you’ve got a partner in crime now, so to speak
furuhashi kojiro
has a thing about stroking taxidermied animals as if they’re alive
otherwise, he’s not a bone collecting type of guy; ironically for someone who looks like a serial killer, he prefers bringing things to life (that’s all gardening is, right?)
but he’s also not someone who would ever be made uncomfortable by a few dead bodies here and there
so you’ve got yourself a very companion: he will happily let you talk his ear off about your hobby, because none of it will ever disturb him
hara kazuya
knows nothing at all about bone collection (unless we’re talking about the hara from this au), but is pretty damn impressed by your assortment of things
spends one hour going round saying “what’s this” “what do you use this for?” “and this is-?” “yo what if we taxidermied furuhashi would that be fun or what, wouldn’t even notice a difference”
yeah, taxidermy in particular catches hara’s interest because he has no morals/ethics that might stop him from telling you to taxidermy this dead animal into a stripper-looking thing; everything in his mind is just potential gag TM
expect him to demand to be taught how to do it
(but, for furuhashi’s sake, please don’t)
yamazaki hiroshi
you know that “looking respectfully” meme? that’s zaki when he first sees your collection
he tries to be a polite boy but, to say the least, it’s a bit of a shock
aka he’s gawking at the human skeleton like he doesn’t play the most gruesome and detailed fighting games
“but doesn’t not burying them mean they’re gonna, you know, haunt people?”
it’s not that he’s judging you, it’s just that he genuinely thinks you’re some ultra-powerful black magic wizard
seto kentaro
like furuhashi, he’s unbothered about seeing a set of human bones, and even when he asks, “did you kill it?”, he sounds more curious than anything
doesn’t believe in ghosts or magic or anything like that either, so there’s literally nothing that could possibly scare him about your set up
can very much appreciate the science behind bone cleaning/restoring/etc, though taxidermy’s a little too fiddly for him to want to be involved
but if you made/bought him a lil taxidermied mouse for his birthday? it’d be sat on his otherwise minimalistic desk for the rest of his days

random kiridai hcs no one asked for
but you're getting them anyway. (hello i'm back)
kiridai in an au where robot workers (e.g. waiters, police) are commonplace:
hara - hara takes full advantage of as robot protection laws having many loopholes. enjoys watching kicking a robot around knowing it can’t fight back to hurt him. in some weird way, he considers this behaviour to kinda further define that he’s human (and therefore superior to them)
hanamiya - same as hara but he’s also keen on figuring out how to hack a robot’s code. his main goal in life is now to fiddle with one such that it’ll break the first law of robots and kill a human (under his orders). daydreams regularly about the terror that would flood the streets when people realised robots could get them back and kill them.
yamazaki - will join in with hara and in the moment it’s fun, but afterwards he’s paralysed with guilt. it turns out fighting’s not as fun when your opponent can’t fight back, and doesn’t even understand why you’re attacking it (not like hara nor zaki have a genuine reason)
seto - plans to study computer science at uni, has already coded himself a few robots. he claims to like robots as they do work for him so he can laze about more; but, really, he thinks of the ones he’s created as children of his of sorts. not that he would tell anyone.
furuhashi - seems them as tools, nothing more. wouldn’t ever harm one, largely because there’s no emotions of fear to egg him on, but also because it technically counts as “damaging public property” and, of all crimes, that’s hardly the most enriching.
matsumoto - will never occur to him to do anything to a robot cause they're just trying to do their jobs (leave them be, hara). always says thank you to them too.
kiridai about whether they’d raise their kid barefoot
seto - maybe? i feel like he’d want to keep up social etiquette (aka not having children run around the streets without shoes), but would also recognise the biological benefits of the practice.
hara - kid runs around barefoot all day. it’s not because hara deliberately chose to raise it barefoot, but rather because he can never be bothered to make the little shit stay still enough to put their shoes on.
furu - man gives big Barefoot in the Soil One with Mother Earth vibes so yes, sometimes at least. like seto though, during important social occasions, the kid’s shoes must come on.
hanamiya + yamazaki + matsumoto: ‘normal’/don’t know enough nor care enough about child care to deviate from the norm. might find it a bit weird if their s/o brought it up, but would let it happen nonetheless.
kiridai and the first thought that comes into their head when told to “take someone out”
hara - in the dating sense (but the evening maybe ends with the date dying)
seto, matsumoto - in the “physically lift someone up by the armpits and remove them from the setting” sense
yamazaki, furuhashi - the murder meaning
hanamiya - the murder meaning but also to neutralise someone (…and ruin their basketball career… then their academic career…. then their family life… then there… *insert drooling hanamiya in the distance*)

I've never done this but can I ask for a senerio where the kirisaki bois think it would be fun to go check out an underground illegal fighting ring and they see this big ass buff man come out are thinking "who the fuck is gonna beat this big ol guy" and then hanamiya's super short pudgy girlfriend comes out and it turns out that she is gonna fight the guy. She just destroys this huge man. Turns out she regularly fights there and is basically a legend in the underground fighting world. And then they suddenly know what fear is. Also, quick question, do you think hara has tried to suck his own dick? Personally I think he has tried and failed, but Yamazaki is the only one who actually can.
kiridai at an underground fighting ring, maybe a bareknuckle boxing with a bit of wrestling thrown in type thing with betting organised by the yakuza, makes a whole lot of sense because where else do you enjoy ‘real fighting’?
they probably make this a whole day-out type thing, which starts with buying popcorn, and ends with a good ol sleepover
and what’s super convenient (for hanamiya) is that you never have a problem with him being away with the boys
you don’t even mind that he’s off to somewhere with unsavoury types, even though another s/o might have worried about him
curious, no?
anyway, so the lads are in their seats, getting ready to enjoy the show + maybe make a little money from the betting
hara’s put some money on this apparently tiny but mad strong fighter; zaki, furu and seto have put it on the massive, dwayne johnson lookalike, because they’re not as stupid with their money
hanamiya refrains because imayoshi taught him better than that
and let me tell you, when you walk into the ring, whipping off your mask, there are five very silent dudes in the audience
in hanamiya’s mind, you’re clearly being blackmailed by someone because why else would you be here? in hara’s, well he’s just lost a lotta money
and the actual fight doesn’t help this thought process, because it goes on for a while
huge dude keeps swiper-no-swiping at you, you keep dodging without throwing many punches in response; to the uneducated audience that is kiridai, it looks like you’re barely hanging in there
however, you’re merely dragging out the fight to exhaust your opponent (lots of blood needed for a big man) and to entertain the crowd
then, as soon as he starts slowing...
Bam he’s down
the crowd erupts into applause, lots of cheering from the fans who know you better than hanamiya does
silence remains amongst our lads
for starters, 3 of them have lost money and their understanding of their own lives.
hara can’t celebrate either, even though he’s earned money, since he’s suddenly reminded of all the times he’s teased you and you’ve replied “you’ll regret this one day, kazuya” with a humorous smile that doesn’t seem so jovial anymore
and hanamiya’s just wondering
how the fuck he didn’t find this out earlier
(as for the sucking off question, see here)

Can we get more beach trip headcannons except this time with female! manager, Thank you I love your work❤️❤️❤️
original beach training camp hcs here - worth reading for context
look at my ass saying ‘context’ as if this is some literary analysis
on the one hand, with the manager around, hanamiya’s no longer the only adult there to look after everything
on the other hand, manager-chan has to be a little mad to be even be working with the boys, and thus she’s only going to be adding to the chaos
for example, half the time, she’s telling hara that no he can’t just claim he has to protect her from the ‘’renowned okinawan beach ghost’ in order to get out of practice, and the other half of the time, she’s plotting with him at 2am about how they terrorise the others and make them think that the beach ghost does exist
side note: seto doesn’t believe in ghosts or anything that’s not explained by science; hanamiya’s the same but he pretends he worships satan every once in a while just for the sake of freaking people out; who knows if furuhashi believes in them in not, but, even if he saw a ghost, he wouldn’t be impressed
and yamazaki’s the type of say they’re stupid, and then start fucking screaming as he goes through a haunted house and then, once he’s out of there, claim that he was never phased in the slightest, and that it was furuhashi grabbing onto everyone’s arms (furuhashi’s a good target cause he’s not a large enough dick to dispute it and embarrass yamazaki; he just kinda raises an eyebrow and moves on)
road trip fic where everyone visits a haunted house and does all kinds of stupid shit when?
anyway that’s why yamazaki’s sitting in on the “reviving beach ghost” conversation (you can’t get scared if you are the ghost, am i right?)
the plan with the ghost is simple and is supposed to involve a) manager dressing up as the ghost (long black dress, hair over her face, etc), b) yamazaki making ghostly sounds (he’s good at sound effects, it’s not as stupid an idea as it sounds), c) hara’s gonna film it all (and also buy the necessary supplies, like fake blood etc)
the problem is that discussing satanically plans at 2am, after you’ve had a full day of practice (or a full day of dealing with these idiots), is that you’re not going to be awake at 7am
which is when hanamiya storms in wondering why half the team are missing
although the sight of people covered in dark cloaks (they’re just blankets; it got cold in the night) and pages filled with drawings of pentagrams (it took zaki that many tries before he could draw it without it it being wonky) may be a little unnerving
nothing is more terrifying than a fuming hanamiya dragging you out of bed when you’re still half asleep
and he also finds the written plans so, all in all, mission failed
Moving On
this is already fucking long and i’ve only just started shit
given that seto never plays in full matches, his fitness plan is a little more lenient - aka, sometimes when everyone else is off running and dribbling and whatnot, it’s just manager-chan and seto on the beach, enjoying their holiday
this is helpful as a) it prevents seto from being forgotten (see previous training camp post), and b) it gives their manager the time to very helpfully apply suncream for him, probably in a pattern, so he gets the image of a flower sunburnt to his stomach
the best part of it is that seto doesn’t even give a shit
catch him floating off on his back to the middle of the philippine sea with the flower shining against the sun like a message from god
actually that raises a very important point about the boy’s swimming abilities so,
yamazaki + hara: good swimmers, neither ever took lessons so their strokes aren’t too polished, but they can goof around in the sea and try to drown one another without anyone actually drowning (or, at least, that’s what the manager’s there for)
furuhashi: very good swimmer, even better diver. disappears without making a single ripple in the water, no bubbles either. he just appears all of a sudden from underneath your feet like “this is a pretty shell, isn’t it?” as if his dark presence at the sea bed hadn’t just made several people think there’s a shark about
seto’s real good at floating, and at a mediocre backstroke, and that’s all he ever does - or is bothered to do
matsumoto takes pride in the fact he’s a faster swimmer than anyone else on the team (except for furu that is), and he likes to do the butterfly stroke angrily up and down the shore to get rid of all his pent up stress (hanamiya never comments on it, cause hey it’s just extra fitness training)
and finally hanamiya was unable to swim for a very long time (and there is many a photo of him with swimming armbands, hidden in his bedroom, from when everyone was coming over, and he couldn’t let them know that he has a weakness
however, one time, hara had a pool party when hanamiya still couldn’t swim, and hara threw him into the pool, and he just somehow learned how to in those few seconds? talk about survival instinct
alright back to our scheduled program
furuhashi is damn good at fishing. like damn good, like doesn’t even need a rod, he just shoves his arm in, somehow grabs one, and guts it and prepares the meal there on the beach
having to eat dinner with a furuhashi whose hands and some of his chest are stained with blood (normally he’d wash it off, but he’s a little emo at heart. went through a phase as a child where he was really into blood vials, and satanic witchcraft and all that) may be a little disconcerting, but it’s also a lovely time :)
picture the scene, dear reader
all the lads, surrounded by the sunset, the evening tide and the lush green in the background, sat by a little stove fire over which furuhashi is frying the fish
matsumoto and the manager chatting about the competitions scheduled for after the team gets back (you’d think hanamiya would be involved in this discussion, but Coach Time TM is over, and now he and hara are challenging one another to watch over hot coals, as furuhashi patiently warms up more stones for them)
seto probably helping furuhashi out; either that, or telling yamazaki all the many illnesses he might catch from the ocean, as zaki takes a massive bite of seaweed and then spits it all out
everyone eventually getting dragged into the hot coals battle
someone almost definitely gets burnt (spoiler alert it’s zaki) and manager-chan has to bandage him up as he yells at a laughing hara that he was sabotaged and that he can handle heat better than anyone else here
he dives on the hot coals as if to make his point
and thus matsumoto and furuhashi have to carry him back to the hotel, cause now he’s got even more burns (and he’s also a little baby who doesn’t like pain, but don’t let him here you say that)
oh the woes of training camps when two of your group have very high IQs, and yet there is still only 1 brain cell being shared between 7 people

If the kiridai's girlfriend would ask them to shave her hair off... Would they agree to buzzcut it? :)
hara - begs to do it, not very good though
hanamiya/seto - grudgingly agrees but complains and criticises for the duration
yamazaki - cannot cope with the stress of it all, can only watch you do it yourself
furuhashi - agrees but do not talk to this man when he's actually doing it, for he's honing his inner hairdresser spirit. Mad Precise.
(for longer hcs on buzzcuts, see here)

I'm new to tumblr and knb, so I don't really know if this had been asked before or not, but would you be willing to do headcanons of our kiridai boys if they were dating a girl that was taller than them? I'm taller than most everyone I meet and most boys and the reactions I get are always negative, so I wondered if the Kiridai boys would have issues with being shorter than their girl or would they be neutral, or would some of them kind of dig it?
I mean, Hara likes girls with nice legs and I can say, tall girls have the longest legs.
Tumblr media
hanamiya, haizaki, and imayoshi done here
Hara Kazuya
you’re right about him liking the long legs that come with a tall s/o
has very much a “hate seeing them go, love watching them leave” attitude towards the whole situation
anyone up to 6’6 is a possibility; past that, he starts feeling a lil short
(and, of course, he’s not got any problems with them wearing heels)
has asked them to dip kiss him (where he’s the one being dipped) on more than one occasion too
Seto Kentaro
given that he’s 6’3 in a country where the average heights are 5’7 and 5’2 (for men and women respectively), i think getting used to someone taller than him might take a little time
but it’s not impossible, especially not if they’re smart (with him, intelligence in a s/o beats all else)
and i can’t imagine he’d have wanted to ever have a much shorter partner - so his tall s/o has nothing to worry about in that respect (though it’s not like he’s good at comforting insecurities)
Yamazaki Hiroshi
honestly i think zaki would struggle with having a girlfriend taller than him at first, or even a girlfriend his height (it’s the 5’11 complex in a tall man’s sport)
but he wouldn’t dislike someone solely based off their height, he’d just be a little more unkeen to admit his feelings
there’s a lot of potential though for a very healthy relationship between him and a taller person - it would just take time, because he’s the type to fix himself for another
so anyone over maybe 5’9, prepare to keep your platform shoes and whatnot in the closet for a bit
Furuhashi Kojiro
can’t imagine that furu’s ever even considered height expectations/requirements in an s/o (unlike maybe zaki or hanamiya)
and he also can’t imagine that someone would actually be concerned or insecure in their own height
for him, it’s more the personality that matters - you can be 6’8 and he’ll be fine with it, but if you act like you’re the tougher one because you’re 6’8, then …
man just wants to be somewhat in charge; is that too much to ask?
also furuhashi’s the type of person to just seem ‘tall’ (it’s a vibe thing - tell me someone understands what i’m talking about it); even with a tall s/o, he’s still doesn’t come off as small, so it’s never going to be an issue of insecurity with him

valentine’s day ft kiridai
seto doesn’t know it’s valentine’s day until you (the manager) bring in chocolates for practice
they’re the only ones he gets, so he does appreciate them, except less so, when you try encourage him to exercise by tossing him the occasional chocolate like a dog
(he especially doesn’t appreciate it cause they keep missing his mouth - nothing like getting chocolate stains on your eye to make you motivated to shoot some hoops huh?)
furu eats a couple of your chocolates and critiques them, and has probably brought some of his own - they’re fruity but not at all sweet, and realistically hanamiya’s the only one who can eat more than a couple without getting overwhelmed from the bitterness
and, hanamiya, in turn, chucks away all the chocolates he’s been given throughout the day, cause furu’s are the only ones he likes - and maybe he likes yours too, though he’ll pretend he hates them, just to rile you up
except he also snatches them back, when hara tries to steal a couple
man you’d think hara would have had enough of chocolate, after he’s been snacking on it for the whole day
not only has he been eating hanamiya’s chocolates, and also the one’s you’ve given him, but he was given a bunch of different chocolates by classmates too - which he split with zaki, as they entertained themselves on the school roof, with hara pretending he was a talk show host, interviewing zaki, “a high school boy lamenting valentine’s day, cause he’s never received any chocolates”
which is true, by the way. all zaki’s ever gotten is hara’s leftovers, or chocolates from you, these last two years
anyway, that just leaves matsumoto
who thanks you politely, but kinda gruff and bashful too, when you hand the chocolates to him, then tries them and tells you that they taste real good
the man of everyone’s dreams
