3 December 2022: King Abdullah II held talks with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi in Cairo covering the deep-rooted ties between Egypt and Jordan, as well as recent regional and international developments.
During the meeting, held at Al Ittihadiya Palace, both leaders expressed pride in the distinguished ties between the two countries and peoples, and keenness to bolster relations across various fields.
The two leaders reaffirmed the need to continue expanding bilateral cooperation, and trilateral cooperation with Iraq, as well as to continue making progress on joint agreements in service of mutual interests and Arab causes. (Souce: Petra)
Discussions also covered the latest regional and international developments, with both sides stressing the need to maintain coordination and consultation on issues of mutual concern.
Turning to the Palestinian cause, King Abdullah and President El Sisi underscored the need to provide full support to the Palestinians as they seek their just and legitimate rights, stressing the importance of stepping up efforts to reach just and comprehensive peace, on the basis of the two-state solution.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi, Director of the Office of His Majesty Jafar Hassan, General Intelligence Department Director Maj. Gen. Ahmad Husni, and Jordan’s Ambassador to Egypt Amjad Adaileh attended the meeting on the Jordanian side.
On the Egyptian side, Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry, Director of the General Intelligence Service Maj. Gen. Abbas Kamel, Chief of the Presidential Cabinet Maj. Gen. Ahmad Mohammad Ali, Presidential Spokesperson Ambassador Bassam Rady, and Egypt Ambassador to Jordan Mohammed Samir Marzouq attended the meeting.
Earlier, an official welcoming ceremony was held for His Majesty upon arrival at Al Ittihadiya Palace.

Jammu & Kashmir Waqf Board Chairperson Dr Darakhshan Andrabi today chaired 6th Administrative Meeting of J&K Waqf Board held at Jammu.
Review of the finances and administrative plans of the Board was done and many new decisions were taken for further reforms in the working system of the Board. Waqf Board members Dr Ghulam Nabi Haleem, Sohail Kazmi, Nawab Din & Syed Mohammad Hussain Haqqani were also present. Waqf Board Chief Executive Officer Dr Syed Majid Jahangir, Tahsildar & Magistrate of the Board Ishtiyaq Mohiuddin & Administrators Mudassir Iqbal, Ashiq Hussain & others also participated in the meeting. The financial approval for many new projects was granted by the Board. The Board also approved the implementation of National Education Policy for Waqf educational institutions. Administrative reforms for Waqf institutions were also adopted. Speaking to media after the meeting Dr Andrabi said that the Board took very significant futuristic decisions which will undoubtedly help us in creating a more conducive working system within the Board. "With our earlier measures, we have succeeded in enhancing our income souces significantly and new decisions will add to this success story. Soon Waqf Board will be a productive body which will initiate public welfare projects on a big scale. I thank the people of J&K who supported Waqf reforms and also thank the Waqf Board staff for their tireless services", said Dr Darakhshan. "We have to go a long way to come out of the effects of the rot which was nourished within the Board for decades. So we seek the public support in future too so that a complete clean up is ensured. Our tough decisions are only for collective good and for making this body a trustworthy public institution serving our religious, spiritual places and assets associated with them,", said Waqf Board Chairperson. She said that tougher decisions will continue till we get hundred percent approval of our work from the same population of J&K.

22/06/2022 Ways To Increase Learning and Development In The Workplace
I wanted to look into increasing learning and development in the workplace as it is a relatively new to our office so I found a Liberty Mind article which had a Youtube video embedded.
The video and article correlated with each other and they touched on topics we have already started to work toward such as:
Co-creating a programme of L&D - it’s important to speak to employees and discuss how they would like to devlop as well as how the company want them to grow. This is something I have already started doing within my role as we hold regular meetings to discuss the following weeks training and how I can help get them there. Once I have highlighted every employees training needs/wishes I then schedule them in for the time to go through this or I seek out training they can do if I feel I do not know that specialist area enough to provide one to one learning myself.
Invite in a specialist - I do already do this within my role if I come across something i’m unfamiliar with, I will always souce out alternative training with someone who knows the area better than I do or who has more experience in that area and I also source online e learning courses in sujects I’m uncomfortable with training myself so I will continue working on this
Explore the business and introduce others to different departments - As part of our onbording training we make sure to schedule time in with different teams in order to shadow the other persons day-to-day. This is something again, we already do as it allows people to get to know one another across the business, get an insight to how different we work to each different department and maybe even spark new ideas or process streamlines.
Treat your every day experiences as L&D materials - reflect on why everything happens, for example: If you lost a deal, why did you lose a dealm how did it happen, what can we do next time to prevent this? This is not something we really do within the office, we tend to just fix something that’s broken and move on. It would be good to get everyone into the habbit of which then in turn will promote growth and knowledge within the role as they’ll remember their reflections and experience every time they complete a process.
I felt this was mainly all information I already knew / have touched on so I decided to do some further research into Learning and Development and looked into all the different possible solutions and ways of training and also how to present a learning recommendation to line managers and stakeholders.
Some of these solutions are: Professional qualification course, external and internal training courses, on the job training, job shadowing and job swaps, projects, coaching and mentoring, action learning or peer support and self study.
You would present a learning recommendation as a formal report which should include an introduction and reason for the learning need analysis, summary of methods used to collect the data, an overview of existing capabilities, details of required capabilities, needs identified and prioritised and recomendations for the learning solution.
