Rewriting the dinner table scene for s 11x 12. Y/N joining them at the dinner table not ready for the awkward conversation

The six of us sandwiched at the mills dinner table. Red wine for the adults and water for the miners. Making small talk and pleasantries as Dean held the wine glass with his fist on the stem like some Neanderthal. Jody and Alex were talking about something when I looked away from Sam to see what their conversation was about. Claire with her suspicious smile as she raised an eyebrow.

“You wanna get real, all right lets get real so have you and Henry finally picked a weekend?”

“A weekend to do what?”

“Oh don't play stupid with me you should erase your IM chats if your gonna play coy.”

“I don't know what you're talking about.”

“You know to sneak up to Jodie's cabin and screw yourself silly.”

Discomfort covered all the adults' faces as Dean dropped his fork onto the plate.

“Claire!”

“Oh here we go”

Dean scooted his chair back from the table as Sam dropped his napkin.

“This seems like uh Family business.”

The three of us attempted to ease out of our chair as Jody slapped her hand down on the table.

“Sit! Stay”

Claire's little evil smile as she sipped her water. Jody lacing her fingers between each other as she cleared her throat.

“Alex, anything you wanna say?”

Alex was writhing in enough embarrassment to want to die. Hell it made me want to die just sitting across from her.

“Nope”

“Ok well I may have, I definitely have seen birth control pills in your backpack.”

Cass if you can hear me at all. For the love of chuck please come interfere at this moment.

“Oh where going there”

Sam wheezed as Dean sucked in the air through his teeth. My eyes felt as wide as an owl trying to hide the shock on my face. My jaw clenched.

“Oh my god”

Alex moaned trying to hide her face with her sleeve.

“Hey if we don't talk about it we shouldn't be doing it right?”

Looking down at the table at me who somehow got sucked into this.

“Well uh, I mean-”

“Right?”

Looking down at Dean now next to her. Then Sam. No answer

“Im not going to be telling you that your to young to be having sex neither am I going to be telling you.”

“Whos she gonna have sex with? She never talks to anyone.”

Alex chimed.

“Y/N Can you back me up on this please?”

Jody tilting her head giving me the mom look.

“Jody, I'm dating Sam does it look like i'm the one to be using as a north star here?”

“Hey!”

Patting him on the chest.

“Oh please do you think, felon, on FBI’s most wanted, recovering demon blood addict says you've made some good choices?”

“Touché”

“Besides”

Claire grinned as she looked up at us twirling her fork on her plate.

“Those two screw like rabbits.”

“Claire!”

Jody snipped down the table.

“Ya I read all about it in her diary, those two are nasty, dirty little skanks.”

Taking the butter knife in my hand.

“You little shit!”

Jerking her head over to Dean.

“Did you know they did it in the back of the impala, while you were driving down the road?”

Sticking his fingers in his ears as he sang a tune.

“Why I otta-”

Lunging forward as Sam caught me with his arm blocking my move. 

“Why don't we get back on the subject here”

Jody's voice rang out over the table.

“What I will tell you Alex is that birth control bills do not prevent STDs. So make sure he suits up every time. And don't plan on him bringing one. Always have one for yourself.”

Claire shifted in her seat as she chewed on a piece of lettuce.

“Now back to you two. There is no way you guys did it for eight hours straight. Sam could not keep that up.”

“Hey!”

“How much did you read there, Malibu barbie?”

“Oh bite me Kim K.”

“Kim K?”

“Oh for that sex tape you two made in-”

“Ok! I think its time for more mashed potatoes!”

Jody announced as she got up with tears in her eyes taking the bowl with her. 

Dean looking at the two of us.

“While I was driving?!”

“We will discuss this later.”

Thank you to those of you, like myself, who have come back and caught up on all the seasons you’ve missed for the final run. It’s scary to put your heart back into the hands of the supernatural writers after they’ve broken it a million times already.

I just wanted to make this post to ask everyone what their favorite Dean/Cas moments but I got emotional thinking about this fandom. You guys are amazing and although i’ve never gotten very close to any of you I love you all so much, even the bibros. We loved a practically unlovable show for 15 years and it was beautiful however you chose to look at it.

OKAY BUT SERIOUSLY, besides Cas’ confession, what is your favorite moment between our babies Cas and Dean?

Mine has got to be this entire episode, which totally refueled my love for their love. I’ll never forget screaming “DONT YOU DARE LOOK AT HIM LIKE THAT” and my whole family (all supernatural fans, minor destiel shippers at heart) jumped in their seats.

And this beautiful moment, when Cas’ whole face lights up at the sound of Dean’s voice. This scene was written like a fucking high school AU fanfiction.

Oh and anytime Dean could make Cas smile this.

AND FOR THE LOVE OF GOD CAS IN A COWBOY HAT
