D-49 DAYS TO FREEDOM
gah so intermittent sleep last night -> turns off alarm at 8 and goes back to bed -> wakes up at 10 with a shock, but hey at least i'm well rested. 😅👍🏻 also...i have a feeling that weighted cardio is the only thing that makes me tired enough to sleep (why tho?? 🤷🏻‍♀️). like there was that one day i biked for 30 mins and i fell asleep so easily and the other day i biked for 10 or so mins and fell asleep easier than last night.
learning:
finished mol bio sections 3-5 (except notes on reversible termination sequencing bc i have a lot of questions i'm waiting for a reply on and someone please tell me why they make it so confusing with all the new and unexplained jargon to sift through and unspoken reasons for why certain things are done?? 😩)
still left to do:
mol bio sections 6-7 (not for this past week but this week)
biochem sections 4-7

D-51 DAYS TO FREEDOM
day 1/3 of catching up on all my notes for this week...at my school, there's a student-run academic success organization where they give lots of tips and templates for how to learn. i think after the stressy mess that were midterm weeks, i really need to revisit and implement their advice (under the cut).
learning:
watch mol bio module review (if it gets posted today... update: it did not)
finish sections 1-2 of mol bio 🟡 (i am not even halfway)
write + send biochem discussion replies ✅
finish psyc ch 1/3 + watch module review 🟡 (halfway through the chapter)
finish sections 3-4 of biochem ✅
watch biochem module 4 review

self-care:
physio exercises + biked for a little bit ✅ (i got some new exercises yesterday + i still need to do the old ones so i'm happy i was able to do them all today 😌 it seems if i sit in 1 position for longer than an hour, the problems start to return, so i'm gonna try to take short stretching/movement breaks after every hour)
goal setting (lol more like re-prioritizing - ugh i can't wait to make the tracking spreads in my bujo and use purple highlighterrrr) ✅

Study for 2-3h at once, breaking up each hour with a short break in which I don't consume any more info if I can't focus anymore (e.g. I can use that time to stretch). After each 2-3h "study block", I take a 1-2 h break.
Step 3: consolidate (this also did not happen but i think this isn't *as* necessary, at least so far, if i take notes using PRR)
After each course's readings for the day, summarize it in 4-6 sentences using my own words.

D-45 DAYS TO FREEDOM
i really hate making schedules that involve 8-9h of studying bc if i do complete it, i feel very very drained (and then revenge bedtime procrastinate...like this past monday), but if i don't, i feel bad about myself and start getting anxious about unfinished to-do's (and often for some reason still revenge bedtime procrastinate 🤦🏻‍♀️)... can i ever win at this? 😅 anyway today ideally would've been a 9.5h day, not counting the biochem Q&A session which ended up not happening cuz the prof had the wrong date on her calendar and rescheduled. but in the end, as usual, my original to-do list was unrealistic and i hurt my back carrying groceries yesterday and ugh. the last thing i need is my lower spine to hurt especially when sitting for prolonged periods (so basically when i study) but silly stupid me carried heavy things with bad form, so now here we are. 😠😮‍💨🤦🏻‍♀️ on the bright side, physio is tmr and the cozy choki video below was just what i needed to lift my spirits 🧸

clean up and finish mol bio notes for today (half of last section for this week) ✅
finish psyc ch 2/3 from last week 🟡 (i started it, but i'm not quite halfway...)

not a huge fan of freezing temperatures and (heavy) snow but i AM a huge fan of no school and cozy, peaceful downtime, so we are going with a december/christmas aesthetic today even tho it's not even past halloween.
on a more stressful note, i am soo far behind on my goals for this week and i totally forgot to review week 2's psyc notes today so i gotta review week 2 AND 3 tmr 🤦🏻‍♀️ and i'm so overwhelmed by all the stuff i gotta read for biochem and mol bio 😵‍💫 but i calendar blocked tmr instead of writing my usual to-do list, and if i can wake up at 8 tmr and study for the majority of the day, unlike today, i think i can make some decent progress

finished biochem midterm! (not as bad as i thought it would be and i finished answering questions by halftime and the rest of the time was spent reviewing 🤓😊)

finished reviewing biochem module 1/3 and half of 2/3
making a study guide for the two biochem modules reviewed so far...(really should've done this while i was first reading the modules bc active recall is the only thing that keeps me consistently engaged during review 😭 luckily [or unluckily depending on how you view it] i still have 4 more modules i can do this for and the final is cumulative so i don't feel like i'm wasting my time by starting now 😅)
self-care:
5 min ab workout
i really should've taken a nap cuz i'm really tired now... in lieu of said nap, i'm clocking out extra early and hopefully i'll feel better tmr! (i better cuz i still have 4 weeks of psych to review for a quiz next week and there was just sm more i wanted to get done sjfjfkshfdhdjdj 😭 realistically, i don't think i'll get to all the school stuff i wanted to this week...i just hope not doing them now won't hurt me in the near future...)
