no, you hit the nail on the head as far as i'm concerned. i normally wouldn't answer something like this so specifically as a public post, but i had the exact same reaction as you did, anon. i barely know who kennedy walsh is, before someone accuses me of being a crazy stan or something.

i've seen plenty of documentation of her family -- who, to be fair, it does seem like they have a youtube family kind of thing? -- posting that kind of stuff, but i've not seen a single receipt on kennedy herself. i was directed to a subreddit that seems to be dedicated exclusively to picking apart every single thing this family does, it's like a horrible parasocial hatred. i don't really consider that a reputable source? i honestly don't think anyone should. i also saw a claim that kennedy was deleting and/or blocking comments in support of palestine, but in addition to not being able to back that up, to me, that reads like a scared twenty-something who's afraid of losing the lifestyle she loves.

i had someone tell me previously that aidan gallagher is a zionist, and i didn't check that one out myself before accepting and posting it. upon further investigation, however, it seems like all of the content in question is coming from aidan's father, who is also his manager. i have a very hard time blaming young adults who are too afraid to or somehow incapable of standing up to their momagers. a few years back, i remember the slew of people that got shit on for following trump on twitter, having republican family members, etc. i'm really disappointed to see that type of broad stroke blacklisting still continue here.

not to mention i see content of actual zionists on my dash literally every single day, why do we only care when it's someone we already don't like?

i'm not putting this in the tags and i'll also take it down soon, but this is a reminder that no one has to agree with me lol. unless there's new information apart from what i've indexed here, i am also not open to rebuttal about this. anon, i agree with you completely. at the end of the day, everyone is entitled to their own opinions and their own standards. what i will continue to have an issue with is exaggerated negative portrayals of people/media/etc just because we feel like we need an excuse to not like something.

this is unrelated but I also have to laugh bc yeah SMS is bitter but like. So is the majority of the cast in some way??? especially LWJ (I saw a tag somewhere describing him as Snapecore and...I mean....I can't quite disagree)

jin ling is gutted by his death in the novel AND in cql! like it is more explicit in the novel because the text gives us a glimpse of his interiority, showing us that moment in his childhood where jin guangyao gifts him fairy, who is his lifelong companion!

Fairy was waiting anxiously outside for his master, barking a couple of times. Hearing the barks, Jin Ling suddenly remembered that when Fairy was still a clumsy little puppy that couldn’t even reach his knees, Jin GuangYao was the one who brought it over.

Back then, he was only a few years old. He fought with the other children of Koi Tower, and didn’t feel satisfied even after he won, smashing everything in his room as he bawled his eyes out. None of the maids and servants dared approach him, afraid to be hit.

Grinning, the younger uncle of his snuck inside to ask, “A-Ling, what’s wrong?” He immediately smashed half a dozen vases beside Jin GuangYao’s feet. Jin GuangYao, “Uh-oh, how fierce. I’m so scared.” He shook his head as he left, pretending to be scared.

The second day, Jin Ling refused to go outside or eat anything as he sulked. Jin GuangYao walked around right outside his room. With his back against the door, Jin Ling shouted to be left alone, and suddenly the bark of a puppy came from outside the door.

He opened the door. Half-squatting, Jin GuangYao had in his arms a glistening-black puppy with round, wide eyes. He looked up and smiled, “I found this little thing but I don’t know what to call it. ALing, do you want to give it a name?”

The smile was so kind, so genuine that Jin Ling couldn’t believe Jin GuangYao faked it. All of a sudden, tears fell from his eyes again.

Jin Ling had always thought crying was a sign of weakness, treating such an act with contempt. Yet, apart from a flood of tears, there was no other way to release the pain and anger in his heart.

He didn’t know why, but he felt like he couldn’t hate or blame anyone. Wei WuXian, Jin GuangYao, Wen Ning—every one of them should be responsible to some extent for the deaths of his parents, every one of them gave him a reason to loathe them with all he had. But it also seemed like every one of them gave him a reason that made him unable to do so. But if he didn’t hate him, whom could he hate? Did he deserve to lose both his parents when he was young? Was he not only able to seek revenge, but also unable to hate someone purely and entirely?

He somehow didn’t want to let go. He felt wronged. He’d rather die together with them and end everything.

he is crying from pain and betrayal and ALSO the loss of jin guangyao specifically, which the next passage makes clear:

Watching him cry soundlessly as he stared at the coffin, Sect Leader Yao asked, “Young Master Jin, why are you crying? For Jin GuangYao?”

Seeing that Jin Ling said nothing, Sect Leader Yao spoke in a tone with which seniors often scolded juniors of their sect, “What are you crying for? Hold back your tears. Someone like your uncle doesn’t deserve anyone’s tears. Young Master, I mean no offense, but you can’t be so weak! This is the kindness of the fairer sex. You should know what’s right and what’s wrong, and straighten up your...”

If this were at the time the leader of LanlingJin Sect was still the Chief Cultivator who led the entire world of cultivation, the sect leaders of other sects would never have had the guts to patronize the Jin Sect’s disciples no matter what. Right now, Jin GuangYao had died already. Nobody was able to uphold the LanlingJin Sect. Its name had also been pretty much ruined, and likely it wouldn’t be able to rise again in the future, thus some people dared.

Jin Ling had thousands of thoughts and feelings whirling around in his heart in the beginning. Hearing Sect Leader Yao’s comments, a fire surged into his heart. He roared, “So what if I want to cry?! Who are you? What are you? Won’t leave me alone even for crying?!”

Sect Leader Yao didn’t expect to be shouted at either. He was a sect leader that had some fame as well.

1- the character everyone gets wrong

i. 🧍 ok so ive been more in my bubble lately so perhapeth my frothing at the mouth will be a bit more outdated idk. im scared of the main tags LOL but. ahem, i am torn between wanting to pick riddle, maybe cater, or ROOK. im a rook apologist til the day i die i s2g. however i am a heartslabyul stan first and a person second, as i have said many a time, so im going with CATER MY BELOVED CAYCAY ACTUALLY.

listen i admit here that i could also be Fully Wrong bc tbh cater's whole Deal is so vaguely hinted at and peppered in at the most spaced out moments and we know so very little about his Secret Sadness and more somber side, there's probably more that we still dont know that maybe [I HOPE] they will spring on us over time. however. HOWEVER. i do not think cater's sunshine upbeat persona is 100% "Fake". like i think there's more to it. yes sure he is implied to be putting on more of a peppy face for the sake of people around him and gets exhausted by it, but i dont think that means it's ALL A LIE and that the sad boy cater is the REAL cater. like i think it's all real, to an extent? something i really like about twst are how, at least to me, everyone seems to be pretty well rounded and multifaceted. there's not really a one note character. everyone's got their own personality and backstory and some we just have learned more about than others. but the way they react to certain situations and certain people and certain environments... just like in real life, it's going to change sometimes depending on the situation. so maybe he masks a bit and pushes out the negativity bc he's def the mediator type who tries to keep up morale, but i dont think that means he's never once experienced Real Joy in his life. i know the lab story with the madrake had those more morose sadlad mandrakes he desperately wanted to hide from lilia and vil [even tho they saw right through him] but the other ones he made still reflected him too! aspects of him, for better or for worse. i'm just saying i don't think it's gotta be all or nothing. there's def more to him under the surface, but i don't think that means everything he shows is all a complete lie forever either.

to follow up on that, i ALSO don't agree w/the depiction that his friendships mean nothing to him / are also all "fake". listen. i have reread cater's wish from the starsending event SEVERAL times. i know. IT HURTS where trey implies he thinks cater isn't being fully open and honest with him. I KNOW. and the bit in cater's halloween card story (i'm pretty sure it was cater's anyway) where he thinks to himself that lilia has no idea what kind of helplessness he's feeling bc lilia has his diasomnia long term friends and cater's had to move around so much so he's never had that, and it kinda seemed implied that his old friends dont really keep in touch til hes relevant on magicam for the stuff going on in school . i get it! HOWEVER. i think it's again a more complex situation. i think, personally, cater as he's said few times in canon - he likes to live in the moment and make memories! but i don't think those good memories are fake. i think you can enjoy people's company and love them a whole lot and still keep them at a bit of a distance. i think cater does mask some of his more serious feelings, as trey implied he suspected. i think cater probably does get tired of being the mediator. i think being the third in command at heartslabyul is exhausting and cater's a teen boy with a lot of complicated feelings, but i think he has fun with lilia and kalim in pop music club. i think he and trey are genuine friends - they roomed together for 2 years! i think he loves teasing his little freshmen buddies like a big brother lol. i'm about to go on about riddle and cater in the next question but fkljsdfjlkse.

yes cater holds back, but i dont think that means he's never expressed genuine feelings either!!!

i am biting anyone that tries to imply cater and riddle arent friends or that trey prefers riddle over cater!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LISTEN listen listen. ok i get that it can be an interesting concept to explore of the potential tension between cater riddle and trey w/like childhood friends trey and riddle but then bestie 3rd years trey and cater but then riddle shows up and takes control- i get it! i dont necessarily think it's wrong to explore that potential area.

however. HOWEVER. we are talking about MY options and thoughts and feelings on beloved heartslabyul LOL. And I think cater and riddle ARE FRIENDS!!!!!!! i think all three of them!!!! are!!!!! FRIENDS!!!!!!!! THEY GET ALONG THEY LOVE EACH OTHER!!!! some people portray riddle as being annoyed with cater or whatever and like , on one hand riddle is annoyed at many things and caycay's kind of a goofball so like yeah to a degree that's true LOL but!!!! BUT!!!!! riddle trusts cater. riddle likes cater!!! if you've read the heartslabyul card stories as many times as i have fjlksjkejs you would KNOW that riddle trusts cater enough to have him and trey at his side constantly and gives them BOTH roles of leading the underclassmen for stuff like preparing for the unbirthday parties!! and when he's having his little meltdowns in book 1, trey and cater were the ones he had kind of on the front lines of ejecting ace or whatever klsjfv they are his trusted boys!!! AND in halloween 2 when cater was missing, riddle said usually he'd get on cater's case for talking too much (lol) but he, along with trey and ace, were 😔😔😔 making the saddest of faces as he said it felt weird to NOT hear cater making his jokes to lighten the mood, and trey ALSO commented on how cater's usually there to smooth things over. cater is a mediator and a morale booster and he is recognized as such!!

plus!!! riddle made a point in his dorm outfit story of helping cater study, as he does with all the heartslabyul boys that are struggling, but in a way cater could understand. he literally made a magicam and used it exclusively to help cater focus better and learn in a way that worked for him. like yea he loses his temper, bc hes Like That, but he ALSO cares. he also tries! he's got his flaws but he's still in spite of those flaws doing what he can to try and understand the people around him and especially his TRUSTED FRIENDS LIKE CATER!!!!

and trey loves cater too!!! they are friends!!! yes yes whatever i read the cater gym story where trey goes "u and me are tight but riddle and i are tighter as his housewarden lol" listen to me. LISTEN TO ME. grabbing u all by the shoulders and shaking you so much LISTENNNNNNNNNNNN. again i get it that it can be fun to explore that further of like "ough he chooses riddle over cater cater is all alone" and like im not the fun police people can do what they want. HOWEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i do not think it was That Deep. like maybe it was, maybe a little bit. but i did not read that as "trey doesnt care about cater" or anything like that. i very much see trey and cater's bond as like easygoing well oiled machine but also with a lot of banter and teasing. trey has said on a home screen line (i wanna say it's his ceremony robes card) that he and cater's friendship just kinda naturally fell into place bc cater's really easy to get along with and trey feels like he can be himself around him [which yes coupled with the line he says in starsending about how he feels like maybe cater's got more personal wishes that maybe he doesnt feel like he can share with Trey Specifically is. painful. LOL] and actually!!! in both their ceremony robes stories they are together and trey is teasing cater i think lol. like in cater's they're doing the guessing game of which dorm each student would get sorted into. theyre playing a game!!! cater's being silly sometimes and treys kinda shaking his head at him for some of his comments, but theyre getting along and are comfortable and it's a lighthearted thing. then in trey's story, theyre panicking about how the roses arent painted how they should be, trey says caters gotta split card and go for it and is like "lol thanks for ur sacrifice ♥", caters like THATS EXHAUSTINGGGGGG and treys like "yea yea ill listen to you complain all you want later". and trey smiles to himself at caters magicam post right after! it's endearing. panic together, solutions together, complaining and teasing but ultimately they work well together! they are friends who get along! trey is kind of a goofy guy but it's not as apparent, but i think we see it a little more especially within heartslabyul and especially with cater. maybe thats part of what he means by feeling like he can be more relaxed and stuff around cay. god theres so much of cater and trey being absolute besties - even grim and lilia have separate lines commenting on how theyre like bffs. grim mentions it in the scalding sands event, something about how it's no surprise that cater invited trey to come on the trip. and lilia in book 5 straight up says [in the engtwst translation] "I'm surprised you didn't invite your partner, Trey." and then i mean yea cater immediately is like "wahhh i DID but hes busy helping riddle he rejected meeee we are rejected buddiessss" and later is like "wahhh riddle stole trey away~!!!" when theyre checking on everything lol. BUT i think a lot of that is like just caycay bein silly and trey not only had other obligations but also was likely not going to want to do a performance thing anyway [trey even says later like 'i told you im bad at song and dance lol'] fsjklejkf like i dont think it's that deep here, i think cay was just havin a goof complaining and wanting to hang with his buddies lol. but my point was lilia basically being like "hey man where is your other half that you are constantly with" BECAUSE THEY ARE FRIENDS!!!

Summary: It’s a stenbrough fic (surprise surprise) and it’s loosely based off the concept of AHS’s Murder House. Bill and his new wife (Susan Brown; his first agent and it’s her bc his wife needs to be a bad person in this fic and I didn’t want to do that to Audra) move into a new home after a devastating miscarriage. That home is the house on Nielbolt, Bill figures some fresh air in a small town would be good for them, maybe also help their failing marriage.

Anyways guess what? The home already has residents. All of the Loser’s and some fun other cameos. Robert Gray is a just a ghost and he was just a human but his death (and what he did) was the catalyst for turning the home into a purgatory for everyone that would die there in later years.

The fic shows Bill and his blossoming friendship turned romance with Stan but they’re really just one of the many stories in this fic. Each of the Loser’s deaths are told- along with some of the cameos- and I’m really proud of the ideas I have for them. Richie’s is probably my favorite bc it adds to his ghost character. Spoiler: it has a lot to do with a pumpkin head. There’s also some side stories featuring their struggles of being stuck in this house.

It's a haunted house story with common themes of child murder/infant death and people making shitty decisions and there's a splash of romance but the main romance is kinda dubious.

I really think this fandom scares too easy when it comes to the possibility of ccs joining Tumblr. I know why people are worried, especially with past events, and I understand that not everyone wants them here, and frankly I don't really care either way. But it really seems that we assume the worst if a cc joins.

sure, its rarely as bad as we imagine it to be.

however. empiresblr had to talk to scott/the empires ccs directly and ask them to give us a bit of space, bc theyd talk abt empiresblr on stream, and also scott joined a fan discord and didnt say anything for several hours. that was a degree of perception that the tumblr mcyt fandom was not expecting and was shocked and scared to go through, because we're not used to it! and now the empires ccs who are here are chill, because scott asked vyeoh why people were upset and vio explained why, and they established a boundary from which we can mutually respect one another.

bdubs on the other hand is a bit harder to reach (doesnt have any specific fandom members on speed dial), AND was just openly talking about his recent interactions with stan twitter in a stream. a members only stream, sure, but a stream nonetheless! and he talked abt how he's been lurking to see what people are up to. it's absolutely not a leap of logic to assume that bdubs could talk about the tumblr community publicly, esp in an embarrassing or negative way. what's more is that, because so much of the current hermitblr/trafficblr etiquette revolves around tag filtering, it's entirely possible bdubs would join tumblr and not figure out how to avoid certain things!

I'm of the opinion that if a CC wants to join tumblr of their own volition, they're welcome to! but directly inviting them into tumblr feels like a step too far. (the exception, imo, being situations where a CC wants to leave twitter or be less active there, like Eret; in that case they're a twitter refugee and its 100% fair game to say "hey tumblr is over here and we're more normal".)

idk something about this ask is just really rubbing me the wrong way. why do you Care. if people get scared at the idea of a cc joining tumblr and it all works out in the end and ppl stop being afraid what does it matter. over time if more ccs join we'll probably get less and less afraid so again. Why Do You Care. if bdubs joins tumblr half the fandom will scatter and the other half will bombard him with maid dresses and he'll either think we're weird and leave or he'll pass the vibe check and stick around, so why are you complaining about How People Feel in my inbox

my thoughts on 1st ep of boc's very own glee project:

it wasnt bad as i expected so i will keep on watching for now as i am curious about how the cards will be dealt when people start voting. i went on twitter to get a general fan consensus but the tag was ONLY and only filled with people talking about mile lmao his stans scare me a lil....

i like mile but it would be fun if every ep had a different boc actor as the mc

when all contestants were like "omg this challenge is hard, i cant lie for shit" it made me laugh bc this is literally an ACTING challenge 😭dont say you cant act in the acting competition. thai bls will never beat the actors cant act allegations

if im not mistaken we never see pond's face fully, its always from behind/side but seems like he is gonna play a big part, leading the discussions etc. i wonder whats the point of hiding his face? it really bugged me

first hidden story being ANOTHER homophobic post from past like..... we need to learn about digital footprints in school. kindergarten even.

ofc boc is brave for putting that shit in first ep but i felt like they tried to portray a certain image with discussions (about bullying, self reflection, masculinity etc) it brought on. i think the only thing it lacked was the discussion on what these contestants (esp the ones w homophobic past lol) feel about acting in a bl, why do they want to act in one and just about the genre in general. and i dont want pr perfect answers too, i want truth. like being called gay affected max this much but now he is competing to get a bl part, what does that mean for him aside from sweet cash?

well. i finished tua.

let's go. my thoughts:

viktor's wig was shitty, like seriously, you couldn't put in any effort? at first i thought his coming out was done shittily too, but it got better. i'm good with it now, even though i had some issues at the beginning. i mean, the wardrobe change really wasn't necessary AT ALL. but i digress.

this season was really fucking trippy. reggie is a cockroach himself, he just can't fucking stay dead. i despise him.

the end of ep 9 left me hysterical and the end of episode 10 left me exhausted.

I CANT BELIEVE THEY FUCKING KILLED STAN AND NO ONE FUCKING CARES???? LIKE NOTHING AT ALL??? JUST BECAUSE HE ISNT ACTUALLY YOUR KID DOESNT MEAN YOU DIDNT LOVE HIM LIKE HE WAS DIEGO AND YET YOURE JUST LIKE OOPSIE HES DEAD GODDAMN

well im not that surprised by klaus's immortality, but i got scared in episode 10. mostly the "void" was in full color, so i thought that meant he was dead dead. but no. apparently NOT HAVING A BODY doesn't matter and they ended episode 9 like they did to TRAUMATIZE US

harlan deserved so much better, so did fei and jamie and alphonso and christopher and marcus and-

ok so they went to this 'reverted' timeline, where everything has been tailored to allison and reg's wishes. so why is ben there and sloane isn't? why is sparrow ben there and not umbrella ben? or why is ben there at all? who chose him to be in their choice timeline? we know they could've brought back the dead, luther is an example. so why do we have sparrow ben?

im so exciteddddd we get more ray screen time, i missed himmm <333 and also we get to see allison get even more traumatized next season, but hopefully less angry

omg i cant wait for lila and diego to be parents that'll be great. and how long has it been since lila left diego? im assuming she lied when she said it'd been over a decade, but if she wasnt then the kid isn't diegos. im guessing that she isnt tho.

i wonder if they'll be allowed a choice in whether or not they want their powers back next season. we know who does want their powers back, but diego and lila seemed pretty happy without that supernatural pressure on them. also are they gonna face off with whoever created the universe? is god the villain?

im so excited to have finished bc NOW I CAN GO THROUGH THE TUA TAG WITHOUT SPOILERS <33333
