I know I JUST changed my theme yesterday but this one is even better so like. Bleez hours ig 😈
#I LOVE HER-#anyways this comic actually does her GOOD (for like 1 issue) and so im just !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!#blah#im literally consumed with feels for/abt her today omg#literally plotted out a 6 issue mini for her during econ today (featuring simon and guy ofc)#where she defeats (not kills!!! i have a creative solution!) Atrocitus and kills basically all the remaining RLs (not dexstarr though)#and kind of goes solo with it as a different kind of RL#which could ofc expand into a 12 issus limited series bc i leave the strand of some missing red rings going (that she has to track down)#and honestly id have ideas for some issues from an ongoing too (most crossovers)#like for example bc my redesign of her kind of has hawkgirl vibes she should get to team up w kendra (in a 2parter w p1 called two birds...?#and p2 as one stone!) and then OFC some supergirl stuff bc of them being friends during the red daughter arc AND smth with yrra as well#bc that was literally the only good bleez moment before the writer change in nu52 rls#and also they would have SO much to talk abt re: anger and loss of autonomy#and then ofc mandatory crossover with my green lantern book#: )))))))))))))) feeling happy thinking abt the comics i would write if dc hired me#im sooooooooo tenpted to try and draw covers for this now#it would have to be for the later issues though bc the issue 1 cover would be kind of boring tbh#bc shes still in her old suit for continuitys sake and the plot would make it look similar to some shitty rl covers honestly#BUT THATS HOW I WOULD GET THEM. i trick the dudebros so they think its only hot alien lady stuff but then they look inside and bam!#increased agency for female characters!!!!! and redesigns!!!!! and friendship!!!! but also ANGER!!!!!!! and JUSTICE!!!#i just 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍#thinking abt comics is sooooooooo fun mwah i love it

“IT’S OKAY, SPIKE!” Kara shouted, flying alongside the panicked dragon. “Easy, easy boy- OOF.”
An unwitting thrash of the dragon’s tail sideswept Kara in the air, causing her to tumble as he continued to rip ahead.
“Supergirl,” came Lena’s voice in her ear. “Are you still there?”
“Yep,” Kara said, halting her fall to the Earth, surging back up into the sky and heading again towards the dragon. “Have you figured out why he’s upset yet?”
“We detected a disruption in spacetime. If he freaked out during Crisis last year, he may be sensitive to-”
“Another crisis?!” Kara said, nearly caught up to the dragon.
“Unlikely, Brainy is investigating the cause.”
Kara didn’t respond as she finally flanked Spike’s side, shouting words at him in an attempt to soothe - not that it was working all that well.
“Have you tried beef jerky?” came an amused voice behind her.
Kara startled, rotating in the air to see another figure, flying just a few yards away. In the dark sky, she could make out a… woman, a white supersuit, a red cape, short-cropped light hair. It was mid-turn that Kara realized there was a small bag hurling in her direction. Kara instinctively reached out to grab it, seeing Original Beef Jerky on the label.
“Who are you?” Kara shouted, glancing back up.
“You don’t recognize me?” the stranger smirked.
“Should I?”
“My name,” the blonde said, “Is Kara Zor-L.”
-----------
It didn’t take long for Spike to calm down after that. A couple of bites of jerky, and the dragon amiably landed on the ground, seeming to physically shake off his nerves before shrinking back down into a peaceful iguana. Alana was relieved to have her pet back.
Kara eyed the new blonde warily, but this other Kara didn’t seem concerned. “I’ve been dealing with a brainwashed Legion member,” the other woman explained. “He threw me out of my universe. I need to get back there.”
“So the multiverse is back,” Lena said over comms, listening on to Kara’s conversation with… Kara. “Bring her to the Tower, Brainy and I can try to help her.”
Kara looked up. “Alright… Kara,” she said awkwardly-
“My Earth name is Karen,” the blonde responded.
Kara nodded. Thank Rao, this’ll be less confusing. “Alright, Karen. Let’s get you back to the team.”
-----------
“So you’re… Power Girl,” Lena said, eyeing the much older kryptonian. “And you were able to grow up on Krypton?”
“It’s a long story,” Karen said with a shrug. “When do you think you’ll be able to send me back to my Earth?”
“Just a few hours,” Lena said. “Brainy’s making some equipment modifications.”
“Looking forward to getting home,” Karen said. “Cat will be annoyed.”
“Wow,” Kara said with a laugh. “Different timelines, but somehow we both work for Cat Grant.”
Karen tilted her head towards Kara as her brow crinkled - Lena couldn’t help but think of how strangely familiar her expression was. “I suppose she would be a little old for you,” Karen mulled.
“Old?” Kara asked.
Karen smirked. “Cat is my wife.”
“Oh,” Kara squeaked, as Lena's heart skipped a beat.
-----------
“That’s not suspicious to the press at all?” Lena said. “You and Cat living on opposite sides of the country?”
Conversation had wandered - from Karen’s Starrware Labs and her development of environmental nanobot technology, to her superhero antics as Power Girl, to her marriage. Lena hadn’t missed how Kara’s cheeks turned bright pink with the mention of Karen’s love life, and how she took every excuse to duck out of the room to check on Brainy’s progress.
But now Kara was back, and pacing, and nervous - and somehow that only seemed to amuse Karen.
“We’re good at privacy,” Karen said. “Though I’m opening a branch of Starrware Labs in National City, so soon this’ll be less of a pain in the ass anyway. It’ll be nice to be able to attend Carter’s baseball games without suspicion.”
“Carter?” Lena asked. “I guess Cat was previously married on your Earth, too.”
“The media went nuts when we started dating,” Karen smirked. “America’s Power Bisexuals. Ironic headlines, considering they don’t know I’m Power Girl.”
“You’re bi,” Lena asked curiously, noting again how Kara seemed flushed.
Karen shrugged. “Bi, pan, whatever. Sexuality in Krypton’s society was considered fluid.”
“What?” Kara said, confusion overriding her new shyness. “That sounds like Daxam, not Krypton.”
“What’s Daxam?” Karen asked.
Kara stared at Karen for a moment. “I’m… going to check on Brainy again,” she said, making her way out the room.
Lena curiously watched after her, before turning back to Karen - who seemed to be far too amused at what was transpiring. Lena shifted in her seat, another curiosity coming to mind. “What’s my life like on your Earth?”
Karen shrugged. “You’re a powerhouse. Married to another tech genius, some Jack guy. It’s rumored you’re in an open relationship, you spend a lot of time with the Obsidian CEO.”
“Oh,” Lena said.
“Is something going on between you two?” Karen asked Lena, gesturing at where Kara went through to the door.
“No.”
“Do you want something to be going on?”
Lena was going to rebuff, the words of course not ready to fall from her lips. But something stopped her. Maybe the familiar crinkle in the stranger’s brow, maybe the fact that the blonde was imminently about to leave the universe entirely. “I don’t think that’s a possibility,” Lena said regretfully.
“Why not?”
Lena shrugged. “Kara’s straight in this world.”
“Are you sure?” Karen said, her eyes seeming to dance with the almost familiar smile, last observed when Kara convinced Lena to buy an entire tub of ice cream. Lena couldn’t help but laugh, as much as the reality of the situation made her heart ache.
But before she could formulate a response, they could hear the patter of footsteps coming back. “It’s ready,” Kara said, nodding in Karen’s direction. “Brainy says you can go home.”
-----------
Karen departed for her Earth - and normalcy resumed, as Lena and Kara crashed on Lena’s couch, consuming their late dinner from Chinese takeout containers.
Lena looked over at the blonde, who seemed… still unusually quiet, seemingly pensive. “Is it odd?” Lena asked gently. “Hearing about a different Krypton?”
“Yeah,” Kara said, pulling her legs up onto the couch. “It makes me wonder…”
“Wonder?”
“She’s just… very confident,” Kara murmured, staring down at her chopsticks.
“She’s older,” Lena shrugged. “Seen more.”
“I think even if I were a decade or two older, Cat would still eat me alive,” Kara smiled.
“Maybe,” Lena laughed.
A pause. “We’re… similar in other ways,” Kara said softly.
“Oh?” Lena said, her heart skipping a beat.
Kara shifted awkwardly, finally glancing up at Lena. “I overheard something she said. Her talking about you and Jack. And… Andrea.”
“It wasn’t that surprising,” Lena replied slowly, her heart pattering as she realized that Kara might be… trying to assess the situation. Which gave her the bravery to be a bit more forthcoming. “Andrea and I were together in high school.”
“Oh,” Kara said. And for a moment, silence fell again.
“Lena-” “Kara-”
The two looked up, each noting that the other had a blush crawling across her face, each feeling the vibration of possibility flowing between them. “Could we…” Kara started. “Could we be more?”
“If you want us to be,” Lena said, a small smile growing on her face.
Kara’s eyes widened, before a grin crossed her own face. “I’d like that,” she said.
-----------
A month later, a small portal temporarily opened up in Karen Starr’s office. She didn’t notice at the time - she was far too busy making out with her wife - but she did find the note left behind:
“You were right. Thank you. - LL”

Do You Know What Shovels Dig? Graves Part 5
Welp, fuck. Yeah this is going to be six parts now. This story just doesn’t know how to end itself so I’m putting the cutting point here and then finish the rest with BBQ idea.
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4
*
The remaining trio arrived after dinner. Jonathan, El, and Will had stayed over, order pizza.
“California really does have the superior pizza,” Jonathan hummed around his slice.
Steve scoffed. “Even better than Chicago? You’re crazy, man.”
“That isn’t pizza,” Jonathan argued. “That’s an open calzone.”
Will snickered as El cocked her head to the side as she tried to puzzle it out.
The doorbell rang and Steve wiped his hands on his jeans as he stood up to get it.
He opened the door to reveal Eddie with Lucas, Erica, and Max.
“Look what I found skulking around my place,” Eddie said proudly.
Lucas and Max looked at each other as Erica rolled her eyes.
“We figured that you would be over at Eddie’s,” Lucas explained quietly.
Steve shrugged. “I probably would have been if Dustin, Nancy and Mike didn’t stop by earlier.”
“Damn,” Max cursed. “I hoping to beat Dustin.”
Erica rolled her eyes again. “Can we get this over with?”
Steve just shook his head. “Me and Will and them are just finishing up dinner.”
Lucas frowned. “Will’s here?”
Steve smiled and then turned to lead them back to the kitchen. “Apparently Team Steve decided that they were going to monitor each apology to make sure they were actually apologies and not just excuses.”
“Wait, really?” Erica asked.
They entered the kitchen and Steve called out, “Look what Eddie dragged in.”
Eddie grinned.
“Come have pizza!” El said. “There’s plenty for everyone. Steve likes to get a lot.”
“That’s because I know that I will have people grazing the leftovers for the next couple days and I won’t accidentally get eaten out of house and home.”
El giggled.
They all settled down to eat. Happily chatting and laughing as they consumed all of the pizza.
Once everything was cleared away Will asked. “All right who’s first?”
Max and Lucas exchanged a glance.
“Um...” Lucas said.
“Because we did our shovel talk together, can we do our apology together?” Max asked.
Jonathan furrowed his brow. “I think that’s up to Steve.”
“I’m down if you guys are okay with that,” Steve said to everyone else.
There was nodding all around.
“I’ll handle this set,” Eddie said, “if you want to stand guard?”
Jonathan and Will nodded, but El shook her head. “I’m staying. I haven’t got to do one yet. You can chose to stay if you want, but I’m not moving.”
“Fair enough,” Eddie said. “How about this, we double team with Max and Lucas and then I can do Erica?”
El tilted her head to the side as she thought about it. “Agreed.”
Erica threw her arms in the air and left with the Byers boys.
“Is there a reason you have monitors?” Max asked once they had gone.
Steve laughed. “Apparently they think I let you guys get away with too much shit and wanted to make sure that didn’t happen with these apologies.”
Eddie grinned at them.
“Right...” Lucas said slowly, nodding his head. “So it started out as a joke...”
Steve held up his hand. “I’m going to stop you right there. No it didn’t. I don’t care if that’s what you thought. It did not start out as a joke. I will not take ‘it was a joke’ as an excuse. Because it’s starting to sound like you guys knew that other people were giving me the shovel talk and wanted to do it too. And if that is that case, I’m done.”
Eddie let out a low whistle. “I don’t know, Supergirl. I think our Stevie is going to be just fine.”
She giggled again. “Maybe, but I want to stay for the verbal beat down, don’t you?”
Eddie tilted his head and looked up. He pursed his lips and nodded. “No, no, you’re right. Should we get popcorn?”
Steve laughed.
Max bit her lip. “We knew Mike and Erica had done it,” she admitted. “But we didn’t know about anyone else we swear! Ten is too fucking much.”
“That’s good to hear, I guess,” Steve said. “But seriously, a joke? Shovel talks aren’t funny. Not the first time and definitely not the tenth.”
Eddie frowned. “Who was the first?”
Steve cocked his head to the side and leaned against the counter. “Mike.”
Everyone boggled at Steve.
“Mike was the first?” Lucas asked.
Steve shrugged. “It’s why I believed him when he said he had been joking. Because no one else had done it at that point.”
“Were there other people between Erica and Mike,” Max asked, “and us?”
Steve folded his arms and nodded.
“Yeah, okay,” Lucas said. “Yeah, I get not accepting ours as a joke at that point.”
Max nodded. “We are sorry, Steve. I understand that saying we didn’t know won’t cut it, but we really didn’t know. We also...” she looked over at Lucas and blushed. “We also thought that Eddie was getting them, too.”
Lucas nodded. “Like we thought Dustin and Robin for sure would have given Eddie the shovel talk. But when we found out that no one had? That really put the nail in the coffin for all this.” He hung his head. “We’re really sorry, man.”
“Yeah,” Max agreed. “We should have known better about the shovel talk to begin with. I wouldn’t want one and I wouldn’t want Lucas to get one either. Our relationship is no one else’s business. And getting into yours and Eddie’s business was wrong. We’re sorry.”
Steve sighed and glanced at El and Eddie to see if it was good enough. They both nodded. “Okay, I accept your apology. Especially since it seems like you learned your lesson. And if you do something like that to someone else, make sure they know it’s a joke. Because I sure the hell didn’t.”
They both winced and then nodded.
Lucas came up and gave Steve a hug. “We’ll try to be better friends too,” he whispered. Steve nodded.
He walked out and Max stood there for a moment. She looked at Eddie and El for a moment before she launched herself at Steve. He caught her and held her tight.
“You’re the big brother I always dreamed of,” she said softly. “I didn’t mean to hurt you. I’m so sorry, Steve.”
Steve kissed the top of her head. “I love you, too, Max.”
When she pulled away, she wiped her face. El held out her hand and Max took it.
“Come on,” El said gently. “Let’s go wash your face before we go back out to the boys.”
Max nodded gratefully and let herself be led away.
Erica came in a couple minutes later and sat down at the counter and stared both of them down. But when Eddie and Steve didn’t back down, she nodded.
“Good,” she said. “I don’t deal with bitches.”
Eddie scoffed. “Does your mother know you kiss her with that dirty mouth?”
Erica batted her eyelashes. “My mother thinks I’m an angel.”
Eddie threw his arms in the air. “Because of course she does.”
“I still haven’t heard an apology,” Steve said after a moment.
“You aren’t going to get one,” Erica said primly. “What you are going to get is why Steve and not Eddie that got the shovel talk.”
Eddie and Steve shared a confused glance.
“Come again?” Eddie asked.
Erica shrugged. “I mean I’m sorry everyone else had sticks up their ass, but I’m not sorry I gave Steve the shovel talk. He’s the badass of the pair of you and needs to know that I will defend my DM to the death if required.”
Steve ran his tongue over his lips and rolled his eyes. “So what I’m hearing is that you think I’m too badass to be protected?”
“Duh,” she said. “I’ve seen you in action. This little bitch nearly died.”
Eddie’s eyes went wide and he tilted his head forward. “Excuse me?”
“You clearly need to be protected from dying again,” Erica said.
“And why can’t I be the one protecting him?” Steve asked, furrowing his brow.
Erica paused for a moment. “You know, I didn’t think of it like that.” She cocked her head thoughtfully. “No, are you absolutely right. I commend you to service in defending Eddie the Banished. Don’t fuck it up.”
She hopped off the barstool and walked out.
“Does–does that count as an apology?” Eddie asked more than a little stunned.
Steve jutted out his bottom lip and nodded. “Coming from her? Yeah.”
Eddie nodded back. “Sounds about right. She certainly is something.”
“I fear for any boy that tries to break her heart,” Steve said. “She’ll break their knees.”
“Provided anyone can find the body,” Eddie agreed.

There are so many good ones in the 100 dialogue writing prompts!
But I'll choose: 67. "What if we make a deal?" For supercorp if you will!
I love your writing so much! And hope you have a brilliant day😘
(Angst ahead, with a hopeful end)
“What if we make a deal?”
Kara turned round slowly, back pressing against the balcony balustrade as she watched Lena approach tentatively.  “What kind of deal?”
“With clear terms, if I do X that means Y. We can have a standard deal in place when you need my assistance.” Lena explained, clasping her hands in front of herself, pale skin glowing as she was backlit by the bright glow of monitors through the window. “I gain access to the tower’s laboratory and it’s resources, provide consultancy on the approach to dealing with the alien but no vote in how it is handled unless I provide a key element then I get an equal stake vote to the other Superfriend team members.”
Kara’s gaze narrowed as she accused, “You want to turn ‘helping’ into a transaction?”
There was a flicker of hurt that flashed through green eyes but Lena blinked it away quickly enough, expression returning to the blank one she sported whenever she was called upon to assist Supergirll and her team. “No.” Lena said simply, the syllable shaking under the weight of all the emotion it was holding back. “I want to help. But I don’t know the parameters that I’m allowed to operate in.”
“Look,” Kara’s jaw clenched, stomach swirling with regret and shame, head dipping low, “I know things are awkward-“
“Awkward is an understatement.” Lena corrected, with a harsh chuckle that Kara didn’t bother to deny. “I feel actively unwelcome, Kara. I try to help and give an opinion and I am met with silence and you actively choosing the option in opposition to mine.”
Kara shifted her weight from foot to foot, “I just don’t agree with you.”
“No, you just don’t want to.”
“That’s not-“
Lena’s expression hardened for the first time then, a flash of Luthor might that she had buried since coming to Kara with an apology and a request for aid with her brother. “I know you were all for using a containment method rather than risking Alex’s chemical compound on that last alien until I put forward a way to do that. Then you switched because I suggested it.”
Kara winced, wanting to argue back and deny the accusation but she was trying to get better with the instinct to lie to Lena - an ingrained reaction that initially grew from a place of sincere good intentions but became twisted with each betrayal on either side.
“This isn’t working because you don’t trust me.” Lena said, shaking her head mournfully, “And I… I understand that. So… let’s remove trust from the equation.”
“With a deal.” Kara guessed.
“Exactly. With parameters and terms and conditions.” Lena asserted, taking a shy step closer - Kara leaned ever so slightly further back over the balustrade, prompting Lena to shuffle backwards in response. “You know what lines I have to operate in and I don't need to tread on eggshells since I know what I’m allowed to do and what the response to my actions will be.”
Kara sighed, glancing away and staring out over the city skyline as she admitted, “I don’t mean to make you uncomfortable.”
She knew how difficult it was for Lena, knew that when she came to the tower everyone stayed away - a bubble of distance to keep her isolated, knew that Lena pre-emptively flinched when offering a countering opinion because she knew it would be met by Kara instantly digging in her heels. Brainy and Kelly bridged the gap, doing what they could to keep the tension low and make it so Lena wasn’t without any allies. Kara knew that Lena was doing them a favour by jumping to their aid, and the least they should do was recognise that. .
“Yes, you do.” Lena whispered, shattering the rose-tinted glasses Kara had tried to wear. “I know because I was doing it not long ago and you’re doing it for the same reason I did.”
“Which is?”
“I hurt you and seeing me hurts all over again.”
Kara absorbed this, her heart shriveling up into something tiny as if by being smaller it couldn’t contain as much hurt and love as it currently did. She cleared her throat, finally looking back to her once best friend, “And this will help?”
“I don’t know.” Lena confessed. “But it’s different and right now it’s all I have. If it doesn’t…” She paused, gaze going far away as she considered her options before saying, “I’ll go.”
“Go? Go where?” Kara asked, the sharp tang of adrenaline and fear flooding her system.
“Away from here. Away from you.” Lena murmured, and Kara could see Lena’s throat bob as she swallowed back a lump of emotion. “I know I’ve done wrong but I don’t think I should make myself miserable as penitence…” Lena’s brow furrowed and she added in a mutter, “at least that’s what Kelly said. And you don’t deserve to be miserable either.”
Kara’s hands shifted to her hips, fingers digging in tightly, her head feeling suddenly light like she was floating above all this - she was instead watching the events play out, a version of the future where Lena wasn’t there at all.
“Okay, then let’s make a deal.” Kara said quickly, words spilling out in an eager bid to extinguish the nightmarish vision she was seeing.
Lena looked surprised but didn’t question Kara’s decision, “I will draft a contract and send it to you for editing?”
“Okay.” Kara breathed, turning away and back to the city, unable to bear watching Lena leave. She could hear Lena’s heartbeat, and knew Lena waited a couple of seconds before making her move. “Lena?” Kara called out before she had a chance to stop herself.
“Yes?” Lena replied, her heartbeat rising in tempo to match the pounding beat of Kara’s own.
Kara licked her lips, eyes slipping closed as she whispered, “You leaving would make me miserable too.”

Leap of faith
Lena Luthor x male!reader
Tumblr media
Summary: Lena has never been good with giving her trust to people, but when you come into her life, she finds it harder and harder not to give her whole self to you
Warning: reader getting hurt (slightly), reader's powers are not specified but flying and healing abilities are hinted
Word count: 5172
-
-
Love and trust are two things that coexist. One cannot love without trust, and trust is followed by love of any form.
For Lena both of them were strangers, her mother and brother definetly weren't the lovely type, and all of her life she felt like trust was only given to be broken right after, resulting in the fortress of walls all around her.
Even when she felt like she could trust her best friend, it turned out she was hiding being Supergirl, and everyone around them knew, leaving the CEO out of the loop.
So, even after forgiving everyone, Lena will think twice before giving her trust to anyone else.
But Lena can't control who she falls in love with.
You moved to National City a few months ago. Gotham already had Batman and all his collegues, hence why you never used your powers; besides, it was way too gloom for you, so you decided a fresh start was for the best.
You realized you were right when the first day at your new apartment you were woken up by sun rays and not by police sirens.
You soon started working with Kara as the new superhero in town.
Everyone, especially Alex, were weary of you at first, but after a while of being nothing but helpful to them and the city they started to trust you.
One day you took you mask off and revelead you identity without expecting Kara to do the same, and that particular selfless action made her fully trust you, making her want to do the same.
And that's when you became a part of the superfriends.
A couple of weeks after meeting Lena you told her who you really were, even after Alex and Kara told you it wasn't necessary since she wasn't a part of the DEO; but, your words, you didin't want to lie to a potential friend.
That day the black haired woman smiled at you in a way so soft she never thought she was able to.
- - - -
"guys! Lena's here!"
You shouted as you opened the door to Kara's apartment, making room for the CEO to enter. "sorry I'm late, i had something to finish at work first" she meant to say to everyone, but her low tone made it possible only for you to hear.
"oh don't worry we were just chatting." you reassured her, helping her remove her coat, and unkowingly leaving a blush on her cheeks at the action.
"Kara tried to eat all the appetizers, but I hid some for you." you whispered, fully aware that the kryptonian could still hear you.
You two made your way to the living room where Winn and James where playfully arguing about something, Alex was preparing the table to make room for the next game, while Kara got up to greet her best friend.
Lena soon followed after you, sitting beside you. There were other seats available but you never seemed to mind it when the black haired woman chose to seat next to you, so it soon bacame a habit.
After all, it was easier to team up against everyone else.
You weren't as competitive as Lena during games, but you had a grit she really liked, and were much more skilled than she was.
That's pretty much how you two became friends. The first two weeks she kept to herself, she was never mean to you but she also never made an effort to deepen your connection.
But the moment you revealed your identity is when she started to be more open towards you, and slowly but surely the two of you became close friends, hanging out outsides of gamenights too.
"oh food's here" Kara chimed in at the sound of the doorbell, clearly hungry; and Alex groaned, needing to clear up the table yet again.
"I'll get it" Lena announced, starting to get up, but you stopped her with a gentle hand on her exposed thigh
"no I got it"
The kryptonian silently watched the interaction from her spot on the couch with a glint in her eyes, just like she watched any other interaction between the two of you. She knew Lena better than anyone, maybe even better than she knew herself. She knew how those smiles and those light touches became more than just friendly in the last couple of months, how everytime she asked if you were okay after a mission, Lena was much more worried that she ever let on.
And kara knew you had one of the purest and most honest souls she has ever known; you were the perfect choise for her best friend.
She swore to never interfere with your business, especially since she risked rushing and forcing things.
But, as she watched Lena laugh at something you said, she thought a little help never really hurt anyone.
- - - -
After a couple of hours, only you and Lena remained in Kara's apartment, helping her clean up. Alex had gone home since she had work early in the morning and James got a tipsy Winn home.
Lena was washing the dishes while you were sorting out all the board games in the living room and Kara was collecting the trash, "oh, by the way" Kara spoke, stopping the comfortable silence created between you three "how did you get here Lena?"
"oh I just called a taxi" she went silent for a second, turning the water off "I need to call one right now or it will be late"
"or, (Y/N) could take you" the blonde suggested, picking up a beer bottle off the floor near you, nudging your leg with it.
"uh?" you inquired raising your head from the cards you were supposed to put away, not really following their conversation.
"oh no don't worry, he should take a completely different route" Lena tried to argue, but sensing what they were talking about, you interrupted her.
"you didn't come with your car?"
"no she took a cab" Kara answered for her friend.
"oh then I can take you home, it's really not a problem" Lena, who still had her hands wet just smiled, nodding her head.
- - - -
The car ride was quiet, interrupted only by some light conversations here and there and the constant music coming out from the radio. Everytime Lena was in your car you she always refused to choose the music, claiming she liked listening to your music, it definetly wasn't for your relaxed side profile and the way you gently tapped your finger on the steering wheel.
"see? faster than a taxi and definetly cheaper" you joked as you parked your car in front of her house, making the woman next to you lightly chuckle.
"thank you, (Y/N)-" she started, but furrowed her eyebrows confused when she saw you quickly getting out of the car. She followed you with her eyes and smiled when you opened the car door for her.
"After you, my lady" you smiled, adding a little bow at the end.
"always the gentleman, I see" Lena complimented getting out of the car, now face to face with you.
"I had fun tonight" and for some reason, she wasn't thinking of the others.
"yea, me too" you shifted your weight from one foot to the other, the action bringing you closer to her.
"I'll see you soon?" she asked lowly, you two were so close there was no need to talk loudly.
"yea" you replied softly, not really being able to keep the conversation going.
The scientist pulled her hands out from the pockets of her jacket and wrapped them around your neck, bringing you in for a hug, and you reciprocated by wrapping yours around her waist. She disconnected from the hug that lasted a second too long, according to her rational judgment, and resumed talking
"good night, (Y/N). Drive safely"
"good night Lena, I will"
You made sure she closed the door behind her before driving off.

A few days later Lena was in her office, working on her computer, when she suddenly felt a wind of air moving from the balcony all the way into the the room. "hello Kara" she greeted the hero, not moving her head from the computer.
"we need help"
her voice didn't sound so alarmed but the CEO shoot up to her feet anyway, just in time to hear you shout Kara's name and see you trip on the balcony, landing in front of them on your hands and knees.
"oh my god what happened?" she rushed to you, helping you to your feet
"you brought me to Lena?" you asked, recognizing the voice.
"you didn't know?"
Kara decided to interviene, clearing the puzzle for both of you "he's fine, he got sprayed with a pepper spray by a mugger, he will heal pretty soon but I though you might have something for the pain.
Feeling calmer, Lena recollected her thoughts, nodding.
"I know to expect bullets, not this" you spoke up again, rubbing your eyes, while your other hand held your mask.
You were, however, instantly stopped by Lena's hand on yours. "don't touch it, it'll only be worse. Put your mask back on, I'll take you to my lab."
She didn't let go of you, now wrapping her fingers around your wrist and got you out of her office. You were able to see lights and shadows but a little guidance didn't hurt. And to anyone asking, and herself, Lena would justify the not so professional touch the same way.
As soon as you two reached the lab, she lead you to a chair, while she grabbed what she needed.
"I'm sorry i literally crushed into your office, I could have handled it on my own too." you said, taking off your mask, knowing you were the only two in the room.
"oh I'm happy to help" she spoke from the other side of the room "and if by handling it on your own, you mean rubbing it like you did before, then I'm very happy you came to me" she teased, and by the way her voice got louder you'd guess she was standing in front of you.
"now open your eyes, and try to keep them open" you tried doing what she said, but closed them right after with a groan.
"it'll just be a second, come on" she got closer to you, now being in between your legs, and put a hand on your forehead.
When you opened your eyes again, you saw a small bottle in her free hand. This time you closed your eyes only when a drop of the liquid touched your sclera, but Lena seemed content with it. "oh it's cold" you commented, the constract in temperature already acting as a relief.
"see? it was just a second. Open the other one now."
After doing the same to the other eye, she put the bottle aside, wiping some tears gathered on your cheecks and at the pool of your eyes, while you kept them closed for a bit more, enjoying the now cool sensation.
Even with your eyes closed you could feel the closeness, how one of her tight was touching yours and how her breath touched your skin from time to time; it took everything in you to keep your hands locked on the top of your knees, and not put them around her waist.
Everytime you were in one of these situations. you couldn't help but think that Lena was holding back from doing something. It couldn't be that she didn't know if you liked her? You think everyone around you knows, whether you told them or they just figured it out.
For a long time you thought this was just her being friendly, despite all the times Kara told you you were the only person she acted so touchy and even vulnerable with, her being aware of it ot not.
So, given she actually likes you back, it must be something else.
You don't know a lot about her past since she rarely talks about it, you only knew the basics but you definetly knew about the walls she hardly lets anyone through.
But for whatever reason she might be holding back,
"are you feeling a bit better?"
you will wait for her to be ready,
"much better, thank you" you re-opened your eyes and she was indeed very close to you.
"great, i'm glad" you swore she glaced at your lips, before straightening her back and taking a step back. "let's get back to Kara, she must be worried"
You followed her back to her office, and found Kara sitting on Lena's chair, spinning around.
"yea, worried" you teased making Lena roll her eyes.
"oh! how are you feeling?" asked the kryptonian, raising from the chair. She had a light blush on her cheeks probably due to getting caught messing around.
"better, not thanks to you" you replied, making her gasp, pointing a finger at herself
"I brought you here"
You ignored her defence, turning back to the scientist "thank you again, I'll see you around?"
At her nod you started going back to the balcony, then threw a confused look at the blonde when you noticed she wasn't following you.
"you go on ahead, I want to talk to Lena first" by the look on the woman's face, she didn't know about it either.
"okay, have fun" you smiled at the two, flying away.
- - - -
"good, you're here" Alex sighed as soon as you and Kara entered the main room of the DEO, already in your supersuit.
"what's going on Alex?" asked her sister.
"a group of aliens just escaped Metropolis' prison, last time they were out they tried getting everyone with any sort of power so they could trade them for their boss, but Superman stopped them"
"and now they're onto us" John finished
"how do you know they're not trying it again in Metropolis, or somewhere else?" Kara asked and this time Winn answered, putting pictures and a map of the city on the big screen.
"they installed a chip in every alien's suit so they could track them in case of escape. Very useful for shapeshifters and aliens who can become invisible."
"that's smart" Supergirl furrowed her brows "why don't we have that?" she turned to John, who didin't seem thrilled by the idea
"it's smart, unless they simply decide to take off their clothes."
Next to Kara, you were only half listening to the debate, a disturbing thought forming in your head "I don't care about that" you interrupted "where are they going Winn?"
"it looks like they parted ways, they're headed to-" the images switched and you instantly recognized the building.
"they're going to Lena" you felt your blood freezing in you veins "I have to go" and without another word, you were off
"Superman is containing the outbreak in Metropolis so it's up to us." Alex explained, normally she would have scolded you for going on your own before knowing the plan, but this was actually a matter of time, so she let you go.
She also knew how worried you were.
"Kara you go to CatCo, while we'll take the smaller groups, they only care about their goal, so get Cat somewhere safe and trap the aliens somewhere. Then call us, and we'll take them back to Metropolis"
And with that, Kara flew out the window, telling you the plan through your earpiece.
- - - -
"okay got it, get Lena safe, trap the aliens, move on" you repeated, removing your hand from your ear.
You broke the window on your way in, you figured she could just get it fixed, not that you were worried about that.
Lena wasn't in her office but they couldn't have gotten to her, according to Winn, they were three minutes away, and you took way less than that to get here.
You ran out of the room, getting to her lab.
You found her sitting in one of the chairs, looking at who knows what. The sound of the door opening made her raise her head, but the smile reserved just for you slowly vanished, taking in your tense stance. Even with your mask on she could read you.
"what's wrong? are you hurt?"
"follow me, there's no time" you heard Winn through the earpiece warning you "please, I'll explain later"
Your voice confermed her suspicions, and she got out of the room with you.
"we need to be quick" you grabbed her hand "we'll take the stairs"
As you run up the stairs you could hear the doors to the building breaking open and people starting to scream, making Lena slighlty jump in fear.
"don't worry, they have no interest in your employees, they just want you." you tired to reassure her, but it didn't seem to work since she stopped moving completely
"who's they? what's going on (Y/N)?"
"we have to run Lena" you pleaded almost desperately.
This really wasn't the time to talk and she didin't seem to understand, so you put a hand around her waist and the other under her knees, and started running with her in your arms.
You tried to briefly explain their intention and your plan, shielding her with your body every time you slammed a door open.
"and I'd do anything to stop it"
Kara confirmed they couldn't fly, so you just had to trap them on the roof and get Lena somewhere safe.
You only let her down when you reached the edge of the roof, and you could hear them quickly approaching.
You didn't let go of her waist yet, thinking she might get scared and fall.
"do you trust me?"
Thanks to the closeness of your bodies, she could catch a glimpse of your eyes, and she could see they were full of fondness and sincerity.
All things Lena always saw when she looked into your eyes.
She let her gaze fall to the ground, then back to you, before nodding.
"I do"
You nodded back, and Lena swore she could feel you smile.
"great" you got off the edge when the aliens broke the door "then jump when I tell you to"
You tried with all your strength to keep them from getting to her, while also trying to seal the door shut.
They weren't a lot but they were fast and agile, which made it hard for you to keep up.
As soon as you sealed the door shut you heard Lena shout your name, only to see two of them getting closer and closer to her.The distraction got you a punch in the gut, making you fall to the ground; consequencently giving them the upper hand.
Your scream came out muffled, but the woman was still able to hear it.
"jump Lena, now!"
Lena looked at the ground once again, the aliens were getting closer but the others held you down, making it impossible for you to move.
Taking another hit to the jaw, you yelled again.
"please, you have to trust me!"
And without a second thought she was in the air.
She tried looking up, waiting for you to come save her, but all she could see was the fast approaching asphalt so she closed her eyes,
Her arms came to her face, a vain attempt at protecting herself.
The next thing she knew, she was on the ground, but she was on her feet while her waist was once again held by your hands; while hers were unconsciously gripping onto your biceps for dear life.
"how did you-"
She tried to speak but her heart was still pumping in her head for the near death experience.
"I told you, they only care about you. They run up to the edge as soon as they saw you jump"
Being in a closed off parking lot, you were able to take off your mask, in an attempt to calm her down.
and it seemed to have worked, but you sensed she had something else to ask, so you spared her the effort.
"I would have never told you to jump unless I was totally sure it would work."
With a little smile, you took one of your hands off her waist to reach Alex through the earpiece.
"Alex there's six of them, they're stuck on the roof of Lena's building"
Putting your hands to rest along your side, the black haired woman almost wished you put them back on her waist.
"get home as soon as you can, it's still not safe for you out here. I have to go"
"please be safe" she whispered, nearly pleaded, her eyes focused on the bruise already forming on your jaw.
"and come back in one piece."
With a job like yours you could never promise something like that, it was a dangerous game where one false step could get you killed, and you both knew that.
But with the way she was looking at you, with her eyebrows forrowed together and her mouth slightly agape, and the way her hands moved to hold your wrists; she made you want go fight death herself and win, just to come back to her.
"I will, I promise."
- - - -
It was a few hours later, since getting back home Lena had her eyes glued to the news playing on the screen, like they always were when she knew you were on a mission.
After the boring news of a soccer player winning a title the woman couldn't be bothered to remember the name of, you and Kara finally apperead on the screen, busy escorting some aliens in a black van she presumed belonged to the DEO, as the reporter provided an upgrade on the situation.
"this imagines were of almost two hours ago, so we can safely assume all the culprits are now back in Metropolis' prison, all thanks to Supergirl and (Y/S/N)" concluded the man, and Lena turned off the tv.
She could finally feel herself relax, sitting on the couch. And although she felt a bit bad you didin't text her to tell her you were okay, she understood you were probably tired and wanted to freshen up a bit.
She also debated texting you, or calling you, but at the last second she decided not to, wanting to avoid waking you up in case you fell asleep. It wouldn't be the first time it had happened, as soon as a mission ended Kara needed to eat to regain her streght, while you prefered a good three hours minimun nap.
But not this time apparently.
As soon as she put the phone down, she heard a knock on the door. Quickly getting up to open it, already knowing who was on the other side.
"I don't know if you had dinner yet, but i'm starving" you said, holding the bag of takeout in your hand.
"hi" she replied softy, not taking her eyes off your face.
"come in" she shook her head after a while, making room for you to enter.
"uh no I didn't eat anything" she answered your question from before, watching you get settled on the couch, after hanging your coat at the entrance.
The scene alone felt so domestic that it brought a smile to the woman's face.
"what do you want to drink?" she asked, heading to the kitchen
"whatever you're having" but you were too focused on setting up the table, and Lena knew this, or you wouldn't have answered like that.
So she repeated the question. This time you registered her words "mhh I'm fine with anything, as long as it's not wine"
She smirked, whispering a "that's more like it" leaving you confused at her remark, as she went to get a bottle of wine for herself, and a bottle of soda for you.
- - - -
While eating you decided to put on a random movie, it was meant to act just as a background noise, but you were actually getting interested in it, considering there wasn't much noise coming from the woman sitting next to you.
That's because she was looking at your side profile. She tried watching the movie, but she soon found out she preferred the way the movie played on your face, with the light shining on your skin, enlightening your features.
From the tip of your nose to your cheekbones, from the lips Lena swore never looked so soft, all the way down to-
"(Y/N)"
She called, but your hum of acknowledgement didn't satisfy her.
"(Y/N), look at me" she tried again, but her tone never lost it's sweetness.
"mh?" this time you turned your head to face her, the movie long forgotten when she gently grabbed your jaw.
"the bruise" she stared, moving her fingers along the skin, trying to find it
"it disappeared"
"it healed" you whispered. And thank God you didn't want to say anything else because you lost all the air in your lungs when her eyes met yours.
"did you get hurt anywhere else?"
She moved her free hand to rest on top of the couch, letting her head lay on it. You adjusted your positions too, hoping she wouldn't pull away when the motion brought you invitably close, with her legs now trapped between your arms.
She didn't.
"nothing more than small bruises" she could feel your throat moving as you talked.
"you asked me to jump off of a building today" she informed you with a small smile, as if you didn't know.
"and without any protection"
Not catching the playfulness in her tone, you let a frown appear on your face.
"I never would have let you jump if i wasn't sure-" you tried reassuring her but she stopped you, whether it was intentional or not, when she moved her hand to the back of your neck, fingers playing with your hair.
"I know (Y/N), I know. It was my decision to trust you"
"thank you for trusting me then" it was all you could muster up at this point, not really knowing where she was going with it.
"thank you for never giving me a reason not to"
Silence fell on the two of you, the way Lena was looking at you, how her gaze flickered from your eyes to your lips; with her fingers tracing figures on your scalp and the way her bottom lip was caught between her theet made it impossible for you to think, let alone talk.
On the other side of the room, there wasn't a single part of Lena's brain that wasn't screaming at her to do something. She could feel your arms touching her thighs, and you looked at her like nothing else in the world mattered right now. And for you it didn't.
You clearly wanted this as much as she did, and she always noticed. Lena was one of the smartest people you knew, so she definitely wasn't oblivious to the way you always held yourself back when the moment got to heated, and she could tell it was for her sake.
And this fact alone tipped her over the edge. She already trusted you with her life, it was time to trust you with her heart.
The hand on the back of your neck tightened it's grip, forcing you down to meet soft lips.
Not that you were complaining.
The kiss was urgent, telling you just how much she has been wanting this.
You could taste the wine she had drunk a few hours ago and wondered if it had always tasted this good.
Her other hand came to rest on your cheek, bringing you impossibly closer.
You put your hand on her waist, thriving at the sound of surprise she let out.
The kisses got more soft and kind as they subsided, and it was Lena who made the first move, pulling away from you.
Shily smiling at the sight of you blindly following her lips.
You opened your eyes to find her already looking at you, with one of her hand coming to your chest to gently stop you.
There were a few seconds of silence between the two of you, you were fairly without words, the only thought occupying your head was the kiss you just had and Lena herself.
The scientist, once again, had so much to say and little courage to do so; strangely, the person who made her feel the safest also made her nervous as hell.
"you kissed me"
You spoke up, the hand on her waist twitching as if you didn't think it really happened.
She bursted out laughing, feeling at ease again.
"I did. And you kissed me back" she whispered
"I did" you repeated, a huge smile taking over your face. "can I do it again? can I kiss you?"
You slowly leaned back in, giving her time to pull away, and Lena can't believe it took her this long to do it.
You scooted closer to her during the kiss, and Lena moved her legs on top of yours, making it easier for you.
Your hand fiddled with the hem of her shirt, sneaking your fingers under it, You didin't want to do anything more than just kissing, at least not tonight, but it was nice feeling her skin against your fingertips.
She was once again the frst one to pull away. As much as she wanted to keep kissing you, god she couldn't get enough of your lips already, she wanted to talk to you.
"stop with the kissing now pretty boy" she said affectionately, the pet name spreading warm all the way to your chest.
It took her a moment to gather her thoughts, around the same time it took you to pay attention to her words.
"I've liked you for quite a while now" she started, and you straightened your posture, adjusting your hand to lay now on her knee "and I think I've always known that, I just couldn't find it in myself to trsut you enough for that"
You slightly nodded at her words to show you were paying attention "you can trust me on everything" you breathed out and lowered your head when you felt her playing with the button of your blouse.
"I realize that" she bit her bottom lip "you know, Kara also had a part in this" she said after a bit, changing subject.
You tilted your head, confused "she did?"
"the day you got sprayed in the eyes-" the woman let out a little laugh at your groan "Kara stayed back to give me a wingwoman sort of speech. Saying things like 'he's a good person' or 'it's clear that you like him too'" She moved her hand around, remembering her friend's words.
"I should thank her then" you answered, but made no move to reach for your phone
you got closer once again "but not right now, I have other things to do" and she accepted your lips on hers without hesitation.

Codename: Red Daughter
Kara is eyeing her purse, it's small but one could fit a handgun in there if one wanted. Lena deliberately sets it down on the sideboard, and Kara's left eyebrow twitches. "What, are you gonna shoot me again?"
Kara looks royally pissed, and Lena can’t help the smirk that pulls on her lips. "Well, the night's not over yet."
Kara glowers at her, but instead of intimidating Lena, she just finds it cute. "You shot me."
Lena shrugs her shawl off. "With a tranquilizer dart."
"Oh, my mistake," Kara scoffs. "You shot me and drugged me."
"Sarcasm is adorable on you, darling." Lena approaches her with a fond smile. "But you had a clear shot. Even your incompetent little DEO friends could see that. You know as well as I do that it would have looked suspicious if I didn't shoot you before you could shoot me."
She straddles Kara, who looks up at her with the cutest pout even as she pulls Lena's hips flush against hers. "That's not the point. I'm still mad at you."
"No, the point is: The half-life of that drug I gave you is 4 hours. It's barely 10 o'clock. You must still be feeling the effects of it." She slips her hand over Kara's collarbone which is unnaturally flushed. "You have exactly 6 hours until the drug I gave you wears off."
Lena gives Kara a wicked, challenging smile. "What do you plan to do about it?"
...
Later, when the aftershocks of her last orgasm finally die down, Kara slumps forward, panting into Lena's shoulder. "What on earth was in that drug you gave me? Stimulants? Some kind of aphrodisiac?"
And then Lena laughs breathlessly, slipping her arms around her. "That was just a mild sedative, it would have worn off before you even got here. This," she gestures at their sweaty, sticky bodies, "was all you, Supergirl."
....
....
....
....
Back at the DEO, Lex Luthor examines the small dart in his hand intently. The knocking on his office door barely registers and he mutters a distracted "Enter."
Alex Danvers, ever efficient, gets straight to the point with her report. "Red Daughter has been cleared by medical, sir. She's sleeping off the drug. I saw her home personally myself."
Lex turns the dart over in his fingers, a small smile pulling at the corner of his mouth "Oh, Lena...." he tuts under his breath in amusement.
Danvers frowns a little in confusion, but she doesn't question him. She's a good little soldier, this one. Lex gives her a beatific smile. "Tell me, Director Danvers. Statistically, how many people are killed by this sedative?"
"In that dose, sir? Likely none."
"Exactly." A grim smile appears on Lex's face. ".... You might want to check on your sister, Director. I think you'll find that whatever drug this is my fool of a sister dosed her with, she's not sleeping it off."
______________
A little supercorp spy AU based on the Earth prime thing where Lex is the head of the DEO. It's a no powers AU, but Alex and Kara are both working with the DEO (and as you probably already figured out, Kara's code name is Red Daughter). Lena is actively working against Lex, but she crosses paths with Kara, who begins to doubt Lex's intentions, and together they team up to expose Lex and bring him down.
Kiiiiiiiinda related to this one, but not really. I just went nuts after seeing The Continental trailer and then I remembered this AU, so here you go.

My favorite ships ranked!
There's a huge chance this list will change once every two days at the very least, but let's do it!
1. SUPERCORP
Literally my favorite ship ever. They're just perfect for each other in every possible way. Their love languages complement each other perfectly, they can rely on each other, and they work together like the best team in the world. Lena needs love and Kara knows how to offer it without asking for anything in exchange. She will take whatever Lena is willing to give her and be happy about it. But Kara still needs someone that will look at her and see who she really is, no judgment, and someone who she will be comfortable being herself - Kara Zor El - with.
Speaking of fanfic, I think it’s safe to say these fandom has some very talented authors who gave us very well written works. They can also work in every possible scenario, so that's a huge bonus.
Favorite scene: "Supergirl might have saved the city, but, Kara Danvers, you're my hero."
Tumblr media
2. SHOOT
Shoot is THAT couple that should have ended up together, but didn’t. I don't hold a grudge on it, though, because Root's death made sense to the show's ongoing plot. I can't say they would be perfect like Supercorp because Shaw has some emotional problems and Root is just also in love with a artificial intelligence or whatever, but they would work. Shaw would try - for Root - and Root would love every part that Shaw allows her to see.
Favorite scene: "You can't live with me and I can't live without you."
Tumblr media
3. WAYHAUGHT
Do I even have to say anything? Our most perfect CANON couple. They were perfect from start to finish. The way Nicole absolutely adored Waverly, almost like a worship even, but wasn’t afraid to stand tall on her ideas and opinions. The way Waverly acted like Nicole hung the moon and stars in the sky just for her, and how we know she would be able to do anything to keep Nicole happy. They're that couple that make everyone's teeth rotten with how sweet they are.
Favorite scene: "You guys make The Notebook look bleak."
Tumblr media
4. CABENSON
One of my favorite gay ships, so it has a special place in my heart. In the early seasons, it's pretty clear, at least for me, that Alex and Olivia could have something going on. I believe they were both shoving it away because none of them was ready to get seriously involved with anyone and they knew that whatever they decided to have would be too special to be treated lightly. Unfortunately, time was cut short for them when Alex got pulled away for WitSec.
I do think they will forever be each other's "almost", or "what if", but they're long past that now. They changed too much and they did it separately. If they were together, they would have changed around each other and, possibly, be able to work those differences to stay together. But now I don't think they would be able to keep a relationship. It's a bit sad, but it's also a very good portrait of reality.
Favorite scene: "You like being back on court, don't you?"
Tumblr media
5. BISHOVA
I'm new to this ship, but I already love it. They remind me a lot of Shoot, actually. We just know that Yelena needs to find someone who would love her with no restrictions and that she deserves to find love. And Kate needs someone able to ground her, but also someone who allows her to be as silly as she wants, someone that will always have her back, doesn't matter how insane her plans might be. They have chemistry too. Also, I can see them getting together with no drama at all, or maybe something they can easily solve, and then being together for the rest of their lives to the point that they can't even remember a time they didn’t know each other. We didn’t get to see them that much, sadly, but I keep my hopes up for more scenes of them in the future.
Favorite scene: "You have one fork?"
Tumblr media
6. FLEURMIONE
Okay, two intelligent and beautiful women together? Sign me in! I've been in Harry Potter's fandom for many, many, years now and, after giving it too much thought, I can safely say that Fleur would be the perfect match for Hermione. She would challenge Hermione, they would have endless discussions about any and every subject, they would have enough books together to fill up a library, and they would make each other want to be better every day. I also see Fleur being a bit sarcastic and Hermione keeps rolling her eyes at her at least fifteen times a day.
Fleur is constantly curious about the muggle world, always eager to learn anything Hermione is willing to show her. She would have a great relationship with Hermione's parents, mostly because she thinks they're one of the most genius people on the planet because they know how to fix people's teeth. Meanwhile, Gabrielle would loooove to talk with Hermione, especially when they get together to embarrass Fleur.
Favorite scene: You know, the totally canon one when Fleur asked Hermione to the Yule Ball.
Tumblr media
7. LOU MILLER X DEBBIE OCEAN
Heist wives? Yes, please.
We don't even need to pretend. These two were totally banging throughout the whole movie. The headcanon is that they used to date, then Debbie made some stupid decisions, met the wrong people, they broke up for a while and then Debbie got locked up. I believe Lou was so angry with her for both being stupid and for ruining what they had because she wanted to get more money than they actually needed, that she didn’t even visit Debbie in prison.
While there, Debbie had enough time to realize how much of an idiot she had been, so it's up to her to win Lou back. Meanwhile, Lou knows that she's screwed the second she sees Debbies smile again. She just can't help but orbit around her.
Also, they're the Moms, no doubt about that.
Favorite scene: "Baby, I don’t have a diamond yet."
Tumblr media
8. DANSEN
The only reason they’re all the way down here is because I hate CW, but I actually love them more than half of my family. They’re married, they’re moms, they’re in love, they’re perfect. Someone as caring as Kelly needed someone to make her go crazy like Alex, while Alex deserved someone that would understand her no matter what. Honestly, I just love them.
Favorite scene: THE PROPOSAL
Tumblr media
9. CAROLNAT
Is there any chance this could happen? No.
Do I still dream about it? Constantly.
It's just one of those couples where things would just work. My biggest headcanon for them is that they would be constantly laughing and having fun. Always joking and playing around with each other. Natasha would crave physical touch and Carol would be happy just to be around her at all. Carol would finally find a reason to stay on Earth without feeling guilty about it and Natasha would one thousand percent make a retirement party for her.
Also, they would protect each other so fiercely that no one would even dare to warm any of them.
Favorite scene: The one where Natasha ends up on top of Carol in the training room. Totally canon, trust me.
Tumblr media
10. GLORBIA
Might sounds crazy, but hear me out.
Barbie is literally Gloria's dream Barbie, and Gloria is the reason Barbie is alive. Once Barbie becomes human, I can totally see Gloria falling for her without even noticing it, while Barbie takes a while to realize what are those things she's feeling. I do believe Sasha would have a strong part in bringing them together. She would be the one to explain to Barbie what a crush is and what being in love should feel like, and then she would have to give her mom a gentle push to acknowledge her own feelings.
After that, fluff all the way. Gloria would be the most patient person in the world while she sees Barbie navigating human life, just happy to have whatever Barbie is comfortable giving her. Meanwhile, Barbie keeps getting surprised by how strong her feelings can be every time she even looks at Gloria.
Favorite scene: Not a scene per se. Instead, I'm bringing that Tumblr post that says "Ken only has a great day when Barbie looks at him. Gloria always has a great day when she looks at Barbie."
Tumblr media
Bonus
11. GAY BELLA
Quite literally, any lesbian ship from Twilight. My favorite one is Rosella, but Bella x Tanya is a close second. Bellice is also a very strong candidate, not to mention Bella x Kate. And, oh, did I hear someone say Bella x Irina or was it Bella x Leah? Honestly, just give me lesbian Bella and I will be happy.
12. ROJARIAS
One of the hottest couples that exist.
Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

Love your work! Would you write Rebecca X Female!Reader , where she's working as an assistant coach or something clever but R is very shy and introverted ( Ted is like a father figure ). But when on the pitch next to Ted, R is a complete opposite . Rebecca is intrigued ? She's also protective of R, enjoys having her and Keeley in the office , maybe flirty . Reader is like Kara Danvers from Supergirl ☺️
Thank you SO much!!!💕💕
And I love this so much! Thank you for the request! I hope you like it!!💕
A/n: I don't know anything about Kara Danvers or Supergirl so I'm sorry if I don't hit the mark on that😅😂

When Rebecca first hired you as an assistant coach, she didn't think too much of you. Your references were good, you knew the game better than most people she's met, you were quiet, nice, very girl next door type. Even though she wasn't sure how well you'd fit in with the rest of the managers given they were all pretty outgoing men, she took a chance and it paid off.
Whenever there was a meeting Rebecca noticed that you only ever spoke when spoken to. You were quiet but thorough with your analyses, strategies and had great opinions.
For whatever reason, Keeley immediately took a liking to you and started dragging you into Rebecca's office for "girl talk." For the most part, you just listened, only giving your opinion on things when you were asked. Rebecca was curious how someone so quiet was such a great coach to a particularly rowdy team. But she admired your softness, she loved hearing you laugh and when you spoke, she hung onto every word you said. She's been pretty busy since you were hired and she wasn't able to watch you during trainings so she really had no idea how you operated on the pitch.
Finally, Rebecca found a free afternoon to finally observe training before the first match of the season. She quietly made her way out into the stands and took a seat, her eyes trained on you.
Before training that morning, Coach Lasso asked the group what you all thought the team should focus on today. Piping up, you suggested that the team should work on the finer details of their footwork. Of course it was important to learn new plays, perfect the ones they already knew, but you felt like the boys needed a refresher on the basics.
Coaches Lasso, Beard, Roy and your other assistant manager, Nate, all paused for a moment before agreeing. The boys' footwork had become a bit sloppy, messing up passes, missing goals, all because they weren't kicking the ball with the precision they should be.
Ted and the rest of the guys all agreed and even let you take the reigns for training for the day. It wasn't something you'd done before here at Richmond, but you were really excited to finally show everyone why you deserve to be here.
Rebecca watched as the boys ran a basic play, unsure why you all decided to run such a simple play, but she kept watching to see what happens.
Colin passes the ball over to Sam and even though it looked like a solid pass, Colin wasn't using the proper technique, something Rebecca wasn't paying attention to, but you definitely were.
As soon as Sam got the ball you blew your whistle and everyone stopped.
"COLIN!" You scream across the pitch. "DO I HAVE TO CALL ROY'S NIECE TO COME OVER HERE AND TEACH YOU HOW TO KICK THE BALL?"
The managers all held back a laugh, Roy and Beard smirking with approval, and the rest of the team busted out into laughter. Rebecca on the other hand, was in shock. The sweet, quiet girl she'd gotten to know was replaced by an assertive, confident coach, a side of you she didn't even know existed. She was even more enamored with you now than she ever was before.
"Oh come on coach! It was a fine pass!" He argued.
"'Fine' won't win the whole damn thing! If you want to be 'fine' then drop down to the lower levels of the league!"
The teams laughter fades and a few of the guys whistle and you hear a few mutter "oh shit".
"Run it again!" You say, blowing the whistle again.
"Fuckin' cunt." Colin murmurs under his breath.
The boys reset and start the play over, Colin gets the ball and passes it to Sam again with a perfect execution, giving Sam the opportunity to sink the ball right into the net.
"There we go! That's what I'm talking about!" You yell before blowing your whistle.
Walking out onto the pitch you walk up to Colin and pat him on the back.
"That was perfect! Did you feel how you had way more control when you connected with the ball this time?" You say as you imitate kicking a ball.
"Yes coach, I see what you mean."
"Good! Because when you hit it just right, you don't have to worry about trying to control where the ball is gonna go, you can focus on putting as much or as little power behind the kick to get it to your teammate. Just like you did with Sam, the ball got to him faster and he was able to sink that puppy straight into the net before the other team knew what hit 'em!"
Colin nods at you and you give him another pat on the shoulder before you turn away. Walking back over to the coaches, you see Rebecca sitting in the stands watching. A blush creeps across your cheeks as you give her a little wave and she waves back. You can't read her face, you're not sure if she's impressed, indifferent or unhappy with your coaching style. As training continues you try not to focus on Rebecca and direct your attention to the boys on the field.
Rebecca watches you as training continues. She sees Ted wrap his arm around your shoulder for a moment and says something to you. He spoke too quietly and she's sitting too far away to hear what he said, but she notices you relax a little before he pulls his arm away.
When training was finally over, you all head back inside, Rebecca had left at some point, although you're not sure when. In your office, you're going over a few new plays you've come up with, seeing which player would best fit each position.
"Well howdy there boss!" You hear Ted say as the sound of heels clicking across the floor enters the office. "What'd ya think of today's trainin'?"
"I must admit I was quite impressed." She says.
Looking over your shoulder, you see Rebecca lean up against the door connecting your and Ted's offices.
"Y/n, I almost couldn't believe that was you out there." She says playfully.
The blush creeps up again and you let out a nervous giggle.
"Oh, yeah, thank you."
Rebecca raises and eyebrow at you and flashes you a smile.
"Come up to my office after work, Keeley and I are going to be spending some time up there today."
"Oh? Yeah, of course. Thanks for the invite."
Rebecca smiles at you again and walks out through the locker room.
"Colin, coach l/n really ripped you a new one out there." Isaac says.
"She was such a bitch! I kicked the ball perfect the first time." Colin responds, visibly annoyed.
"I would show your coaches some more respect if I were you, Mr. Hughes." Rebecca says with daggers in her eyes.
"Oh, Ms. Welton, yes, of course, I'm so sorry." He says, obviously taken by surprise because he didn't see her there.
"Even I could tell that first kick was utter garbage." She says before walking away.
Could she really tell? No, absolutely not. But Rebecca knew what you were doing and trusted you. She also was not about to let the players trash talk their coach, especially the only female coach. That was not going to fly in her locker room.
After work you head up to Rebecca's office to find her sitting on the couch with Keeley.
"Y/n! I'm glad you came!" Rebecca says, her face lighting up a little when she sees you.
"Of course, thanks for the invite." You reply with a soft smile.
"Come in, come take a seat," Rebecca moves closer to Keeley, opening up a spot next to her. "would you like a glass of wine?"
"I would love one, thank you."
Rebecca hands you a glass after you sit down and you take a sip, your eyes flickering between the two women.
"I have to say, I'm still shocked that that was you out on the pitch this afternoon." Rebecca says as she takes a sip.
"What happened on the pitch?!" Keeley asks.
"Our sweet, quiet little y/n became this loud, assertive coach. Those boys listened to her as well as they listen to Roy."
"No shit! So you're like an entirely different person when you coach?"
"Um, I guess." You say, the blush returning once again.
"She absolutely does." Rebecca says. "I was impressed, really."
For some reason, that took you by surprise. You didn't think you could ever do anything to impress Rebecca.
"Really?"
"Absolutely, the way you commanded the team was incredible."
"Oh my god I bet it was so hot watching you get all assertive like that!" Keeley says, causing your blush to deepen.
"I don't know about that." You mumble.
Rebecca shrugs a little and smiles at you and you take another sip of wine.
As the night progresses, the three of you talk, laugh and genuinely enjoy each others company. The wine loosened you up a bit and you're talking a little more freely than you usually do. Something that both Rebecca and Keeley seem to be happy about.
"Oh! I wanted to ask you y/n, what did Ted say to you on the pitch this afternoon?" Rebecca asks.
"When?"
"After you yelled at Colin, he put his arm around you and said something to you."
"Oh," you say, blushing once again. "he just said that I was doing a really good job and that he was proud of me."
"Aw I love Ted!" Keeley says. "He's such a sweetheart."
"He's a really good guy, it's nice to have someone so supportive on the pitch."
"I can imagine! It must be tough being the only chick out there."
"It's not too bad, I mean sometimes the guys say shit but I don't let it get to me."
Rebecca stiffens when she hears you say that the team makes comments to her. She doesn't even realize it but her grip on her wine glass tightens.
"What do they say to you?" Rebecca asks.
"Honestly I don't really pay attention, sometimes they're just teasing me, sometimes they like, pretend hit on me, say stupid things. The usual things that immature athletes usually say."
"That is absolutely unacceptable." Rebecca says, her tone growing more serious.
"It's okay really-"
"No it's not, you're their manager, they should respect you just as much as they respect the other managers."
"I guess." You say, shrugging.
"No, no, they absolutely should. And if it continues there will be hell to pay."
"Rebecca, really-"
"No babes she's right," Keeley chimes in. "you absolutely deserve the same amount of respect that the other coaches get and it's some sexist bullshit that you're not getting it."
Coming to terms with the fact that this is absolutely a losing battle, you smile at the two women.
"Thanks guys, I really appreciate it."
Rebecca wraps her arm around your shoulders and pulls you into her. The moment her skin touches yours your heartbeat quickens. AS she pulls you closer you're engulfed in her perfume. It's a beautiful, no doubt expensive, scent. It automatically relaxes you even though your heart still feels like its beating out of your chest. You look up at Rebecca and she looks down at you and smiles. Immediately her gorgeous green eyes captivate you and you get lost in them for a moment. Opening your mouth to speak, you realize your throat has gone dry so you grab your wine glass and take a sip.
"We got your back babes!" Keeley says.
"We absolutely do." Rebecca says, smiling down at you.
Later that night you lay in bed unable to fall asleep. The moment Rebecca wrapped her arm around you replays over and over again on a loop. You've never felt like that before and you can't figure out why. Was it because she's your boss? Not really. How about because she saw you in your coach mode earlier? Nah. What the hell made you so nervous in such a pretty woman's arms!
Right after that thought passed through your mind it hit you. You liked Rebecca, a lot. Way more than you ever thought or would have admitted to yourself.
Shit. You had a crush on your boss.
The next morning Rebecca calls a meeting with all of the coaches and the team. Everyone gathers in the conference room and you sit in one of the chairs, fidgeting nervously because you think you know why you're all here.
"Good morning everyone, I'm sure you're all wondering why I called this meeting this morning."
"Colin I told ya, you gotta use soap when ya shower mate!" Jamie says, making the entire team laugh.
Rebecca glares at Jamie and he shrinks back in his seat.
"Sorry Ms. Welton." He mumbles.
"It was recently brought to my attention that one of the managers here has not been given the same amount of respect as the others. Something that I witnessed myself in the locker room yesterday." She says, staring daggers at Colin, who also shrinks into his seat. "Every manager on this team, assistant or otherwise, deserves your respect and I will not tolerate anyone on this team disrespecting them in any way. If I find out that any one of you are making fun of, ostracizing or disrespecting any of the coaches on this team you will be benched for the first five games." The team takes a collective breath in, they're all a little intimidated by Rebecca and they don't take her threats lightly. "Do I make myself clear?"
"Yes Ms. Welton." They say in unison.
"Wonderful, now unless anyone has any questions or concerns, you all are dismissed."
Ted turns to you and the other coaches, a confused look on his face.
"What the heck was all of that about?"
The coaches shrug their shoulders and you stay silent. The guys on the team have never said anything in front of the other coaches so you're not surprised that they didn't know they weren't treating you all that nicely.
Everyone leaves the conference room and you head to your office. The day goes by pretty quickly and the threats Rebecca made seem to have stuck because the boys are giving you less attitude than they normally do. When the day is finally over you make your way up to Rebecca's office to thank her for putting her foot down.
You knock on the door and hear her on the other side.
"Come in!" When she see's you after you open the door, her face lights up again. "Oh! Y/n! What a wonderful surprise." She says with a smile, closing her laptop. "Please, sit." She gestures to the chair in front of her desk.
You take a seat and drink her in for a quick moment. Her hair is pulled back elegantly so you can see every beautiful feature of her face. Her green button down shirt, that's showing off her perfect breasts just enough to tease you, makes her eyes pop. If you could, you would sit here all night and just look at her.
"To what do I owe the pleasure?" She asks with a smile.
"I just wanted to thank you, for earlier today."
"Oh you don't have to thank me! It's absolutely unacceptable to disrespect the people that rank higher than you. I wish you had told me sooner, I'm so sorry you've been dealing with that for so long." Her green eyes look sad, not like the pitied you, but sad that you've been treated like shit from your players.
"Yeah, I just tend to take things as they are. I don't like making waves."
"Well if anything like this ever happens again, I hope you do."
"Thank you, I will."
"I was surprised that Ted and the other coaches didn't even know. They can usually pick up on those things quickly."
"Yeah, the guys were pretty discrete when it came to them insulting me or something."
"Did you tell anyone? Like a boyfriend or-"
"Oh no, I don't have a boyfriend."
"Oh?"
"I'm not really, into guys so much." You say as you feel your cheeks starting to get warm.
"Oh." Rebecca says, almost surprised.
"I'm guessing you weren't expecting that." You say with a laugh.
"Uh, no, honestly, I was not." She also says with a laugh.
"I mean, come on, I'm a football coach for a men's team, it's kinda obvious."
"Well when you put it like that!" The two of you laugh for a minute.
Her laugh is amazing, it fills your chest with so much joy. If you could have it played on repeat for hours, you would.
"Anyway, thank you again for doing that, it means a lot."
"Of course, I can't let my staff, no less my favorite employee, be harassed by the team."
"Aw, thanks." You say, smiling at her. "I'll let you go-"
"I was just about to leave, walk with me to the carpark?"
"Of course."
The two of you walk out of the building and into the carpark in a comfortable silence. The sky is dark and there's only a few cars left, including her driver and your car. Rebecca turns towards you and you mirror her action. She tucks a strand of hair behind your ear and gently cups your face. Without realizing it, you unconsciously lean into her hand, when you realize what you just did your eyes widen. Rebecca only smirks and her thumb caresses your cheek.
"If I wasn't your boss," She says softly, as if she's talking to herself while she's admiring you.
Her hand leaves your face and you grab hold of it with yours.
"Even if you are, I wouldn't mind." You say, just as softly, with a smile.
Rebecca looks at you with a bit of surprise in her eyes, she was never expecting you to say that. She's had the feeling that you had a crush on her for awhile now, long before you realized you did. And she's secretly been admiring you from afar.
The thought of dating an employee sounds so incredibly unprofessional to Rebecca. But at the same time, you're not just any employee.
"I must say, I'm torn on the matter." She says with a small smile.
"Well, give me a chance to ease your worries." You say with a confidence you haven't had in awhile.
Rebecca picks up on your sudden burst of confidence and a smile crosses her face.
"Alright then, Friday night, 7pm, I'll pick you up?"
"Perfect."
"It's a date."

Ace Reporter - part 4
Supergirl, Kara Danvers x Reader, Lena Luthor x Reader
Word Count: 2375.
Part 1. Part 2. Part 3.
Something brings you back from your trance. Probably the loud alarm saying that if you don't get out of this place in five minutes you're going to die. Five minutes is really not enough time to find the way out, so you run out of the bedroom and make your way to the other side to try and find the exit there.
You are met with a dead end, and on your way back you bump into Lena. She holds your arms to steady you. "Y/N! I'm glad I found you. Kara and I split up while looking for the exit."
"Dead end." You point to the hallway behind you.
Lena agrees with her head. Cleans the blood off your cheek before nodding to you, "I'm happy you're safe." She almost hugs you, but decides there are more pressing matters at the moment. "Let's find Kara and get out of here."
Lena holds your hand, guiding you to the direction you just left. That's when Kara appears in clear panic and points to another place, not wanting you to find her secret in that creepy room, unbeknownst of your current knowledge.
You do feel kind of safer knowing Supergirl is around. She said it herself, she won't let you get hurt for a story. She certainly won't let you explode just not to compromise her secret identity. Right? Right.
On your way out the three of you find the room with all Lex's hardcopies of clear wrongdoings. You grab everything you can see and get out of there less than a minute before the whole place explodes.
You make it back to National City, digging through papers, unraveling conspiracy theories and mazes of wickedness. Kara Danvers is snoring on the chair in front of yours, tired from keeping secrets and burning bridges. And Lena is also examining the documents in silence. When you can't read another word, you turn to her,
"Tough day, huh."
"Running into the atrocities my brother is responsible for, is not exactly a walk in the park for me."
Great fucking quote. Not on record, though.
"Sorry we didn't find him. Though I have to admit, I'd be a bit scared if we did."
"I don't blame you. I would have too." Lena smiles absently and a little bit too sincere. You can tell she immediately wishes to take it back. You're a journalist, after all.
"Well, you've dealt with all those Eve clones pretty well. I'm glad you and -" You stop yourself, looking at Kara. She is not sweet doofus Kara Danvers anymore. It's pretty much real to you that she literally is the strongest person on Earth and she could have ended all those clones in probably one blow.
Lena agrees with a nod, following your eyes. "She actually fights pretty decently, I didn't know that about Kara."
You furrow your brows, confused. "You didn't?"
"Honestly, no. I wonder where she was hiding all those moves."
"Yeah. And I wonder why." You whisper to yourself, staring at Kara. Is she really asleep? No way to know, she is such a good liar. She might actually be the greatest actor of all time. How else would she have kept this secret from her best friend for so long?
"Anyway, heard you need a quote from me to get back to Metropolis."
You take a deep breath, mostly annoyed with your editor for making you work so hard for a damn quote, but also kind of offended that all of your investigative skills and team work will be reduced to one scandalous quote from Lena Luthor. You literally uncovered a web of lies and terrible plans, but hey, that's not what he asked you for, so it probably won't even be used.
"I suppose it's what I came here for."
You grab your notebook next to you, waiting for her quote.
"Ready?" She asks and you nod your head, pen on the paper ready to write down whatever she says. "I think you're so much better than what the Daily Planet gives you credit for, and I believe CatCo is always in need of a fine reporter like you."
You stop writing, raising your head at her, confused. "What?"
"And I should know what CatCo needs, since I'm the owner."
"What?" How did you not know that, when it's precisely your job to know everything about the woman you came here to interview.
"And if offering you a job is not enough of a reason for you to consider staying in National City, I'd like to add that I, too, would like to have you closer." Lena's voice drops an octave and an eyebrow is raised. My God, she is sexy.
"With the risk of sounding like a broken record, what?"
Lena laughs, honest and carefree. Wrinkles under her eyes and it has to be one of the most beautiful things you've ever seen. "I'll let you consider it. If you decide not to stay, I'll give you the quote."
"Oh, ok." Your cheeks burn red. "Thanks, Lena."
When you finally make it to National City, Lena offers both of you a ride, but you and Kara decide to share an uber to your side of the town.
"We've uncovered some pretty sensible information on this trip to Kaznia." Kara says as soon as Lena gets inside her car. "And I know you must be dying to do an exposé-"
Does she know? Does Kara know what you saw in that weird bedroom? That you finally have put two and two together and noticed the obvious? Is she scared you're going to tell the world?
"But we have to be careful on how we're going to play this. If we blow the whistle on Lex, he could just go back to hiding and-"
"What?"
"Oh sorry, sometimes I talk too fast. I meant Lex and whoever is helping him inside the government. Obviously he had help to break aliens out of the DEO facility and-"
She doesn't know. Haven't got the faintest idea. Kara Danvers is here blabbing about Lex Luthor while you have this huge information about her. And about Clark.
"Oh my God Danvers, shut up." It's out of your mouth before you can stop it. Her eyes widen and you point to the car that just arrived. "I don't wanna talk about Lex, ok? I got hurt because of him, because of this damn crusade the Daily Planet put me through." You signal for the driver then slide inside the car. Kara follows you promptly. And with no amenities the driver just goes.
"Look, I know it was tough out there. But you did so well. You-you found this!" Kara is holding the documents so tight, like they would just fly out of her hands if she didn't.
"Yeah, and I also almost died for those stupid sheets of paper. I'm not Nancy Drew, ok?"
"You are!” You look at her in disbelief. “At least, you were out there!"
"Stop, ok? This means nothing to me! I'm not you, Danvers! I'm not ok with putting my life at risk for a fucking assignment. I really am not getting paid enough and I only have this one life."
"What are you talking about?" Kara asks and you raise your eyebrow at her as an answer, not wanting to share more. "What? You think I'm a cat with nine lives?"
You can't help a laugh that leaves your mouth. A very ironic one. Sour and hostile. It makes her wince at the sound.
"Damn, you really are the biggest dweeb I've ever seen."
She huffs, moving uncomfortably on the seat next to you. You ignore her, staring out the window. You don't even like National City that much, but you're honestly so glad to be here right now.
"I know you don't want to talk about it, but we're writing this together, aren't we? We have to decide on what can we expose and-"
"UGH." It's the only sound out of your mouth. You're so tired. You flew to Kaznia; the plane you were in almost crashed; you had to fight evil clones and you got beat up by one (which is rather embarrassing); you found out your work-colleague and your almost-nemesis' secret identities; and you also found out what the hell Lex is up to. You're exhausted. Right now, the only thing you want is to go back home, but stupid Kara Danvers won't shut up. "I wish Eve had punched your face instead of mine."
"WHAT?" Kara yells so loud, even the driver jumps in his seat. "Sorry, sorry." She apologizes to him, then turns back at you. "That's such a mean thing to say!"
"Why? It's not like you can feel anything." You roll your eyes, hand going to the cut on the side of your cheek that still burns.
"Of course I can feel things."
She's barely finished with her sentence and you're adding, "Oh my God, you let me get punched for nothing."
"I'm so confused right now."
"I KNOW, OK?" It's your time to yell, making the driver almost lose control of the car, and you have to hold yourself on Kara not to knock your head on the window. When the car finally stabilizes again, you continue. "I know you helped land the plane. I know you could've taken down all Eves by yourself. And I know about you and- and Clark." You stare deep into her eyes. "I know who you are."
Kara swallows deep, so loud you could hear it perfectly, and you're sure the driver could too. "Stop the car."
"Ma'am, we're in the middle of nowhere."
"Stop. The. Car." She repeats strongly, commanding. Must be her Supergirl voice. And the driver is not going to argue twice, so he does. He stops the car in the middle of fucking nowhere.
Kara pulls you by the hand and there's no fighting. Not when the strongest woman on the planet wants you out of the car, anyway.
So you stand there, with nothing but trees around while your ride home leaves you behind. You cross your arms and stare at her. God, you wish you were home. You wish you were never sent to this assignment. You wish you were never entangled in this mess with Kara Danvers. You wish you could just hate her from a distance instead from up close.
"How did you figure it out?"
"Well, you fighting all those clones with your bare hands was a pretty big tell. But what confirmed my suspicions was that weird altar they had for you there."
"You saw that too?"
"Yeah, it was pretty bizarre. I mean, who would have so many pictures of doofus Kara Danvers?"
"HEY! I'm not-" She huffs, unable to defend herself. "Whatever."
Kara walks from side to side, hands on the side of her head, clearly freaking out because you know her secret and she can't trust you. How could she? You're a random reporter who just came from Metropolis to find a story. And you did, you found the biggest one you could ever look for, and now you know the secret identity of two of the most powerful superheroes on the planet.
She finally breathes out all the weight off her shoulders, and comes closer, really close. So close she touches the cut on your cheek. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry I let you get hurt." And you've known this woman for two weeks, but you know she means it. Can read it in her watery eyes. "I'm sorry I didn't realize how scared you were. I'm sorry I couldn't be Supergirl there."
"Because Lena doesn't know."
"Well, you weren't supposed to know either." She shrugs. Hands on your chin, eyes staring right at your soul. You dare to look at her lips, so close, so so close. Right there.
"Hey," You look back at her eyes and notice how scared she is. You know her secret, her biggest secret. You know a part of her not everyone knows. Not even her best friend! So you hold her free hand. "I promise your secret is safe with me. I know you have no reason to believe me. I mean, I didn't even like you until two days ago, so I understand the distrust. But this is a big thing. Bigger than whatever is between me and Kara Danvers. I would never put people's life at risk."
"Thank you." Kara gives your hand a little squeeze. "But what do you mean you didn't like me? I thought, I thought we were…"
"What? Friends?" A little smirk.
"Flirting." She admits and you gulp, taking your hand away from hers. She understands the signal so she lets go of your face too, but doesn't stop talking.  "I thought it was all flirting banter."
It was. She is right. But you just can't admit this to her, or anyone.
So you let a sharp and deceitful laugh out. "Oh please. Even on a good day, we're barely amicable."
Kara furrows her brows, looking like a lost puppy and when she opens her mouth to argue, you cut her off, not ready for this conversation at all.
"So, do we get another uber or is Supergirl flying me to my hotel room? I really need to lay down after all this."
"Yeah. Yeah." She won't raise her head or look you in the eyes, but still picks you up in bridal style. "Hold tight."
Kara starts flying and you can't help but to hold her with everything you have. You can't believe you just gave Kara Danvers the power to drop you from a very tall height. You venture a peek down and holy fucking shit you are way too high. If she drops you, you're dead for sure.
You hide your face in Kara's neck. Breathe her in, and oh God she smells so good even after almost exploding in Kaznia. Ugh. Your stomach is all in knots and you wish you could just rationalize this strangled feeling, but right now Kara Danvers/ Supergirl/ Whoever is carefully taking you home, might be the person you loathe the most. Or love. You can't decide.

Supercorptober Days 29 & 30: "Stars/Magic"
Kara is seeing stars, and not the good kind. As she struggles unsuccessfully to pick herself up out of the rubble from the wall she was just blasted through again, she takes stock of her condition. Her head is spinning, there’s a sharp pain shooting down her left side, and she’s pretty sure she tastes blood. She’s having trouble focusing, but even if her blurry vision makes it hard to see the telltale green coloring her veins, the agonizing burn of the kryptonite currently coursing through her body is an all too familiar sensation.
Where did they even get kryptonite? Kara still can’t figure it out. With the resources of the new DEO behind them, the team had been able to thoroughly scour all of Lex’s old hideouts for any remnants, and Brainy had run signature traces for any they may have missed. And as far as she knew, Lena was the only person left alive who knew how to make synthetic kryptonite - unless someone else had finally figured it out.
Lena. Where was Lena? Kara squinted her eyes through the spots dancing in front of her and tried to find the brunette. She never would have let Lena come if she knew there was going to be kryptonite. How is Kara supposed to protect her if she’s incapacitated? (Much like she is now, unfortunately). Not that Lena necessarily needs Kara’s protection as much as she used to, not now that she has gotten so much more comfortable with her magic, and can definitely hold her own in a fight. But still, it’s Lena.
Kara is just barely able to make out the distant movements of J’onn’s blurry green, black and red form. Nia’s bright blue dream energy streaks across her view, then a flash of yellowish orange in her peripheral she knows is from Alex’s favorite blaster (her favorite one this month, anyways). Suddenly two concerned jade eyes swim into her vision.
“Supergirl, are you okay?” Lena’s voice is a balm to her ringing ears, the comforting familiarity of it soothing her ever so slightly. Kara maintains eye contact as best she can and manages a small nod, even as her features involuntary contort into a grimace. There’s a hand pressed firmly to her chest, followed by a faint whirring sound as Lena activates Kara’s anti-kryptonite suit. “God I need to upgrade your suit, this really should be a standard feature,” she hears Lena mutter with a hint of exasperation in her voice. Then a gentle command - “Just stay put while the suit does its job. We’ve got you covered.”
Lena quickly turns around and casts a protection spell to shield her from any further kryptonite blasts. Kara marvels at the wall of shimmering golden energy that materializes in front of her. Rao, this woman is amazing. As she feels the suit beginning to combat the effects of the green poison still weakening her body, she thinks about the many times that Lena has protected her or saved her life. Even though Kara is supposed to be the one doing the protecting. Has Kara saved Lena as many times? Honestly, she’s lost count of both tallies at this point. What she does know, with no uncertainty, is how lucky she is that her harrowing journey through the stars all those years ago somehow led her to this life, to this incredible woman now fighting by her side.
After what feels like forever, the superhero is finally able to stumble to her feet as the pain of the kryptonite subsides and her strength and other abilities slowly start to return. Just as she’s trying to get a read on the situation so she can rejoin the battle, she watches Lena’s protective wall of magic dissipate into the air. She realizes that while she was still down, the team had managed to subdue the criminals, and now J’onn and Alex are working on securing the hostile weapons while Nia dashes off to do a perimeter sweep. Still a little weak, Kara wobbles shakily when she starts to walk, and then Lena is by her side in an instant, arm wrapped around her waist to steady her.
“Hey you,” she says with a tender smile. “You had me worried for a minute there.”
Kara smiles back, even though Lena can’t see her face through the dark visor of her helmet. “I’m going to be just fine, thanks to you :zhao.”
“Khap :zhao rrip vahdhah.” Lena leans in and plants a light kiss on the front of Kara’s helmet, as the swirling blues and purples of a portal appear next to them. “Come on darling, let’s go home.”
———
Kryptonian Translations:
:zhao = love (used as a term of endearment) Khap :zhao rrip vahdhah = I love you too

Tumblr media
When Kara arrived to your apartment, she found you safe and asleep in your bed.
Some days passed and you just kept getting worst and worst. It got to a point where you didn't get out of bed except for emergency, and it took everything in you to just take a step without falling. You were nauseous, dizzy, really weak and your still healing wounds were hurting more than usual. Sometimes you were so cold, and sometimes you felt like you were in a volcano.
“Alex?” You ask when you woke up and saw your sister. “ Hmm?” She said, closing her book and placing it in her lap. “I really don't feel good.” You say. Her expression quickly changed. “What do you mean, what's wrong?” “Everything hurts and I feel so weak.” You say, tears brimming your eyes. “Alright, how long have you felt like this?” Alex asked. “A week.” You said closing your eyes to try to get rid of the dizziness.
“Hon, please don't fall asleep, I know you must be tired, but I have some questions.” Ales asked in a soft voice, she placed her hand on your forehead to see if you were hot, and unfortunately you were really hot. “Shit, you're really hot.” She says. “Alright, do you feel like throwing up?” You nodded your head. “Kind of.” “Ok what do you say we bring you back to the D.E.O, it could be nothing, but I prefer not to take risk.” She said, and you agreed.
You were back at the D.E.O, hook up to many machines, with Alex taking care of you and Kara at your bed side, with the same worried expression. “Do you feel a little better.” Kara asked. You gave her a little nod, the frown on her face deepen as she saw how unwell you still were.
“Alex, can I talk to you?” J'onn ask entering the room. “I'll be right back.” Alex said giving you a kiss on your forehead. “I just saw the footage of the Alien escaping, and I think i sort of know where he went.” Alex frown. “What do you mean 'kind of know'?”
“Well, a little before you join the D.E.O, I had this weird dream, but now I don't think it was a dream.” Alex nodded, signalling j'onn to keep going. “I woke up in a building in the middle of New work. I won't go into too many details, but I met people there, they were superhero sort of. They called themselves the Avengers.” Alex scoffed. “The Avengers? That's a… original name for a team.” Alex said. J'onn then went on by explaining what everyone did and what happened when he was there. “Ok, but how is that related to the alien's location.” Alex asks. “Well, Doctor Strange, the wizard, he can teleport by creating these circles that bring him wherever he wants. Those circles are the exact same as the on the alien when through. So now that we know the multiverse is real, I think it wasn't a dream, and somehow I travelled to another planet.” J'onn said.
“That makes sense, so now can we get there.” “I'm not sure, maybe the device that Cisco gave to Kara could travel us there.” J'onn suggested. “Maybe you're right, I'm going to try to look into it.”
A few days passed, and your condition just kept getting worse, you were exhausted all the time, you had lost all your appetite, and you threw up at least 3 times a day. Alex was so caught up with everything, she had barely enough time to take care of herself. She needed to take care of you, find the alien, find a cure for you and on top of that she needed to find the alien. Of course, she wasn't alone Kara helps with taking care of you, Lena with finding the cure and brainy help tracking the alien down, but it was still a lot.
Kara walking in Alex quarters, she saw Alex sat on a bench staring at the wall. “Alex?” Kara asked, braking Alex out of the trans she was in. “Mhm? What?” "Are you ok?” Kara asked, Alex took a deep breath and nodded. “Yeah… yeah, I'm fine.” “You know, you're a really bad liar sometimes.” Alex gave a small smile and place her head in her hands, starting to tear up. “Come on, tell me what's wrong.” Kara said, placing her hand around her sister to comfort her.
“It's just… I know everyone is telling me it's not my fault, but I really feel like it is and having to take care of Y/N on top of being the director having to deal with everything it's just a lot. And I'm really worried about them and what if they die, I don't think I could ever forgive myself.” She said tears falling. Kara hugged Alex tightly and rubbed her back. “Alex, why didn't you tell me. You know you're not alone, you have Winn Lena J'onn Brainy and you have me. You know what, I think you should go home tonight, and before you argue J'onn is just as qualified as you to take care of the D.E.O and me and Lena can take care of Y/N.” Alex hesitates for a minute but agreed, “fine, but you have to call me if there is anything wrong.” “Of course.” Alex went home, and she could finally get some much-needed sleep, and everything went smoothly all night with you and the D.E.O.
Although it was the last thing she wanted, Alex had no choice but to call Eliza when your condition didn't improve. The look on her when she saw you laying in the D.E.O's med bay hooked up to so many machines was one of pure worry. “Oh god, sweetheart, you look so bad.” Eliza said, coming to your side. “Thank you.” you said barely above a whisper. Your mother place a comforting hand on your forehead and when she did, she noticed how hot it was.
“God, they are burning up, how long have they been this way?” She questioned. “Um, maybe like a week, they have only been getting worst since we brought them here.” Alex said just as worried. “ What's wrong with them?” Eliza asked, “Well that's part of the reason we called you, we don't know yet.” Alex said.
You were slowly falling asleep whilst your mother and big sisters talked, You were half of sleep when your stomach turned. You groan and slapped your hand over your mouth, you frantically looked around for Kara. She noticed your panicked state and quickly gave you the bucket, she sat you up and pulled your hair back. “Alright, let it all out, it's ok.”
When you were done throwing up, you laid back down. “I'm sorry.” You muttered exhausted. “Don't apologize, honey, it's not your fault at all.” Your mother said soothingly. After that, you fell asleep for a while.

Hate You, but Love You.
TIM DRAKE X SUPERGIRL!READER
Summary: Tim is too focused in his frustration with the newest supergirl to notice his college classmate has a crush on him.
—————————————————————————————————
“WATCH IT!”
“If you don’t stop moving, I’m going to drop you!”
You had been so excited when Superman had finally confided on you for a special mission without him around.
He finally trusted you enough to take charge of something. No Superman around, no Superboy around, no other crappy League of Justice member to boss you around.
Except, he had failed to mention you would not be alone. And you were not exactly ecstatic about it when you realized it—especially when you realized who was the other person.
Tim thought this was finally it. Batman and the League of Justice taking him more seriously, outside of the Young League of Justice. Red Robin as a hero—not that Batman didn’t see that already. A mission as if he was one of them.
When Batman asked him to go to take over this mission, he was excited to help. However, he never mentioned he would have to work with her.
You were flying back to the batcave, carrying Red Robin by his arms throughout the sky.
Although you spent most of the time bickering with one another, the mission had been completed. You guys had made a good job and were ready to go back home.
Except Red Robin’s motorcycle had exploded at one point, and you both had to get back together so you could give out the mission’s report. This left you with no alternative than carrying Red Robin in your arms.
Let’s say none of you were thrilled about the idea.
“It not like you hadn’t dropped me at least twice!”
“Can you blame me?” You retorted, “you weight a ton.”
“Excuse me?” Red Robin gasped, “Don’t you have super strength or something? Huh, Superboy’s power cut you short.” he paused, and mumbled, “maybe he should have come instead. Less distractions with him.”
“Oh that’s it.” You grumbled and dropped him from where you flew in the sky.
“Hey-!” Tim screamed as he fell through the air, convince that it would be his last breathe as soon as he hit the floor.
But just when his face was about to kiss his death place, supergirl came flying and picked him over.
You dropped him closer to the top of the building, as he tried to catch his breath.
“You-” Red Robin started as soon as he was able to talk again.
“Don’t” You landed delicately in front of him, giving him the back, “if you so much wanted Superboy to come, could have just told your sweet friends in the League.”
Red Robin kept it quiet and just glared at you.
You turned around abruptly and looked at him sternly, “there is a reason why they sent me. But you couldn’t help keeping your mumbling shut the whole mission on how you were so capable of doing it in your own, even when I saved your life more than twice.”
You started walking towards him and floated a little above the ground to be taller than him so you could look him down.
“You were so desperate to take over the mission, that you missed so many details. Thought you were supposed to be the “best”detective in the team? What had you so distracted Robin Boy, huh?”
Glaring down on him, you poked his shoulder. “You aren’t more than a rude boy. You better stop your attitude before I punch you three buildings away from here.”
“Hey, I didn’t mean that he is better than you-”
“It doesn’t matter what you meant. You acted so entitled the whole mission,” you closed the space between your faces more with an intimidating force, “what do you think, that you are better than me?”
“I-”
“News flash love. I’m just as good, if not better, than whatever standard you think you are in.”
Red Robin’s face shifted a little, quickly looking away from your face.
You took a deep breath and turned around. After a few moments of silent, you spoke up, “the mission worked out alright at the end. We worked it out together and all was fine, maybe they were right in assigning it to both of us.” You glanced back and added, “still, you could have been less annoying and helped a bit more.”
The supergirl jumped of the building and made her way to the Batcave to meet with rest there, leaving Red Robin to walk the 5 miles left by himself.
Perhaps it would provide him time to reflect, and it would allow him to think of a reasonable explanation of why his mind was so out of focus during the mission.
—————————————————————————————————
Tim looked up at the plastic bag that was dropped in front of him.
“What’s this?”
“A muffin” You smiled to him from the other side of the desk. “What were you doing? I called your name more than once.”
As you tried to peek at his laptop, Tim rushed to closed it down.
“Uh- just homework.” He waved it off and took your gift, “Whats the muffin for?”
“To eat- duh.” You rolled your eyes jokingly as you leaned down in the desk, “you have been so focused on your assignments that you barely eat anything. And you always drink so much coffee, you need something to snack with it.”
He smiled at you sweetly and you felt the butterflies in your stomach float, “Thanks, you didn’t have to.”
“Oh I don’t mind.” You played with your hair, and sat in the desk to look him down, “so.”
“So?”
“What’s bothering you so much?” You smiled, tilting your head.
“What?” Tim looked at you as he took a bite of the muffin, “What do you mean?”
“Oh please, anyone who pays enough attention can see that something is bothering you Tim. You can trust me, you know that, what’s up?”
Tim sighed and leaned back in the chair, moving his hand behind his head, “that obvious, huh?” You nodded and he sighed, “it’s nothing big, just… work things.”
“At your dad’s company?”
“Uh- yeah.”
“Hm” you leaned back in your arms, tilting your head, “well, I’m all ears.”
He gave you a sided smile, sighed and leaned his head back, “there is this girl…” you felt your heart drop, “that’s an absolute menace.”
You caught yourself before you let a sigh of relief out, and just nodded to keep him talking.
“She works with one of my dad’s partners… and we were assigned a work together. Actually, something tells me we will be working a lot together.” He looked to a spot in the wall, lost with his thoughts, “she annoys me pretty much. But I don’t really get why I get so frustrated around her— she’s pretty bossy if I’m honest. And she accused me of being “too entitled” of myself. I was just firing back comments at her, but now that I think it… maybe I was being too rude.”
You scoffed and looked at him firmly, “Oh please. She actually sounds so horrible. How could she say that? You are one of the nicest guys I have ever met, you got the biggest heart ever.” You poked his leg with your foot, “She probably was giving you such a hard time, because she is bitter that you are better at work than her.”
“That’s the thing,” he’s sighed deeply again, “She is not bad at what she does. She manages things so well, and when I didn’t listen to her, everything went the wrong way. She annoys me too much, but she’s still pretty damn good at what she does, hell- she’s probably better than me. I was completely useless at everything,.”
He looked lost in his head, way to frustrated by that girl. “I don’t believe that.”
“Hm?” He looked at you, rightening himself,
“I don’t believe that.” You stood up and looked at him, “You are the most hardworking person I have ever met. Heck, you never give yourself a break. You are always working, doing homework, or even helping out people. You volunteer almost every weekend at the city hall, and are always ready to help others. Sometimes, it’s difficult to not feel useless compared to you.”
“Hey,” Tim stood up and held you by the arms, “you are not useless. You are literally one of the best of your major, of our class. You most likely have better grades than me, and you are always helping our classmates. You always have the best advice, and you speak up when you see it necessary. You are an amazing girl y/n. I’m so lucky of having you as my friend.”
He smiled at you widely, his beautiful blue eyes bright. You were too aware of his closeness, and tried so hard not to just gape at his beauty. You smiled a little, trying to not let the word “friend” get to you.
“Right back at you.”
He smiled, and you reunited all your courage to ask him if he wanted to go get something to eat together, but the sound of his phone chirping made him turn away before you could speak.
As he looked at the notification, something in his face shifted, as if had hoped for whatever he was looking at to happen.
He started picking up his stuff and said, “Hey, I got to run. I’ll see you tomorrow, okay? Thanks for the muffin again!”
“I-” you tried to stop him, but he was long gone. You internally groaned, and had a strong will to kick the desk.
You walked out of the room before you could destroy something and got an alert from your phone halfway out of the building.
🚨 Superman: meet at the Batcave, got something for you.
You sighed, just what you needed. Another mission with that asshole.
You rushed out as fast as you could, that jerk is not going to get there before you.

i really wanna know your ideal dc publishing cause seriously they could be doing so much and instead choose the absolute worst trashy choices
Lol thank you for indulging me, anon. I have thought about this EXTENSIVELY so sorry not sorry for the tusnami of opinions you have unleashed.
Before I get into the list, a few points to explain my approach:
ONGOINGS. I am a firm believer in the importance of ongoing series. There's nothing wrong with a miniseries but you can't get any forward momentum or character development with them because things keep getting reset to their baseline. Get really strong teams on your ongoings and let them develop their stories for years at a time. That's where all the legendary runs come from.
To that end, I am proposing a list of 30 books, which is a little more than 7 per week, which is roughly what DC publishes now (not including things like Sandman, Looney Tunes, etc.). They can add on as many minis as they want but will need fewer since so many more characters are accounted for with ongoings.
I am a strong believer in backup features - more value for your dollar and double the amount of characters included - so you'll see a lot of those.
I tried to balance what I personally think would be the most holistic representation of the DCU with what I believe will sell, so you're still going to see a lot of Bats. It should be understood that books without Bats are not going to be treated like throwaways like they sometimes are now. They are going to get top tier creators with long, sustained runs, just like Bruce always gets.
It will not be a publishing slate of all straight white guys from the 30s-60s.
Books with an asterisk* mean they will be kid-friendly. Not exclusively for kids, but appealing and accessible to young readers, the way Young Justice and its members' books were in the 90s. They can still include ongoing plots and queer characters and serious topics! They just shouldn't be relentlessly grim.
OKAY THE BOOKS!
Super Books:
Superman*: The lead Superman title, with a backup featuring starring Jon.
Action Comics*: Focuses more on the Superfamily as a whole, though the plot can dovetail and cross over with the main Superman book. (This is basically what's happening now.) Backup feature rotates between Kon, John Henry, Natasha, Kenan, Lois, and Jimmy.
Supergirl*: Why did I give Kara her own book and not Kon or Jon? Because a) DC needs more female-led books and b) I want to. The primary audience for this book is women who watched the CW show, or girls who have outgrown TTGo! and DC Super Hero Girls, NOT ADULT MEN. (Optional: Kon or Natasha backup feature.)
Bat Books:
Batman: Like the Super books, this would be the central title and focus on Bruce. Backup feature can rotate between the nine billion Gotham characters who need a home.
Detective Comics: Focuses more on mysteries/the family. Another rotating backup feature. NOTE: These backup features CANNOT star a character with their own book (Bruce, Dick, Damian, Selina, or Harley).
Nightwing: Dick sells. ;)
Robin*: Starring Damian, Tim gets a team book further down.
Batwoman: Perhaps we could try letting a queer woman write this for once? Revolutionary, I know.
Catwoman: Because she fucking rules.
Harley Quinn: Because she fucking sells.
Birds of Prey: I prefer a classic Babs/Dinah/Helena lineup but I'm flexible.
Batgirls*: If it’s too messy to have Babs in BoP and this, take her out and add Harper.
Red Hood and the Outlaws: Imagine if this book was good! In my universe, it will be.
Solo Books:
Wonder Woman
Flash: This will star Wally. Optional backup rotates between Jay, Bart, Ace, and Avery. Barry can show up sometimes I guess.
Green Lantern: Starring Hal, John, or Kyle. Whoever is the lead CANNOT also be on the Justice League.
Green Lantern Corps: Okay yes technically this is a team book. Shhh. Guy should always be on this book since he does better in an ensemble. The plot should dovetail loosely with the main GL book with an annual crossover but you don't have to read both if you don't want to. I am flexible about how to fit all the Earth GLs in (including Simon and Jessica), whether that's backup features or just including them in the GLC ensemble, but all six should always have a publishing home. Jo should get as many prestige graphic novels as N. K. Jemisin and Jamal Campbell care to bless us with.
Aquaman: Jackson backup. Please let him go back to being Aqualad and stop making everyone grow up so fast.
Green Arrow: This book is currently perfect, no notes.
Blue Beetle*: Starring Jaime, though Ted may show up to be annoying if he would like. A Booster backup is permissible.
Vixen: If they have a Webtoon they should have a comic for $ too.
Zatanna: See above.
...I'm torn between Shazam!* or Stargirl* here. I feel like they both kind of fizzled? I guess it depends on which book gets the better pitch.
Team Books:
Justice League: I mostly don't care who is on this but if it's a bunch of white guys plus Wonder Woman and either John Stewart or Cyborg as tokens, AGAIN, DC gets shut down permanently. I don't make the rules.
Justice Society: This is also not allowed to be only old white guys. I know that's harder with the JSA. I don't care.
Titans: I'm going to be honest, I'm not convinced the OG/New Teen Titans can star in a decent book anymore, since they haven't done so in two decades. But I will give them one more try. They can call themselves the Outsiders instead if that helps.
Young Justice*: They also maybe need a new name because they are all legal adults, but this is Tim's book. I'm highly skeptical of success here as well but I think the right creative team could make something really soapy and New Adult and queer work. Please keep in mind that there are nine trillion characters in the DCU who are roughly Tim's age to draw from; the "Core Four" (ugh I hate that term so much) can all be members but they are not the only members. (Cassie cannot be the only girl and it cannot be all white.)
Teen Titans*: Damian's team! I vote for characters like Emiko, Ace, and Jackson here, but I'm flexible. THE AUDIENCE FOR THIS BOOK IS MIDDLE SCHOOLERS, NOT PEOPLE WHO GREW UP ON WOLFMAN/PEREZ. Jesus, DC.
Suicide Squad: I truly do not care about this book but we need to do something to appease the edgelords.
The New Gods: I'm thinking EPIC, I'm thinking KIRBY, I'm thinking SIMONSON. Everyone talks in a serif font and it should be impossible to explain out loud with human words. It's what Kirby would want.
So there it is, there's my pitch. Again, this doesn't cover minis (Elongated Man miniseries WHEN), event books, etc., but I think it gets most of the key players on the board!
(And yes, I know I left the Legion out. I'm sorry. But not very sorry. They can cameo in Kara's book.)

What comic issue did the whole kon v steph showdown happen? In which he basically called her a poser? I’m wondering what the rest of the young justice teams reaction to her was. I think greta tried to kill her at one point? I don’t think she’s very well liked among that team, but it also makes me wonder if she’s very well liked in the wider hero community at all besides her small group of vigilantes she’s enmeshed herself with through getting involved w Tim and to a lesser extent Batman? What are your views?
Teen Titans (2003) issue #13:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
That's it in its entirety. The bit with Tim and Conner is very much the story's B-plot, the A-plot is focused on Beast Boy and the rest of the Titans back in San Fran.
As for Steph and Greta -- it is true that Greta is the one member of YJ that Steph ever truly interacted with during that time period. I actually wrote up a whole thing here about the arc of those interactions, but it was kind of off-topic with your question and also long enough that it really deserves its own post, especially because lining it all up together without the multi-year gap between plot points gave me a revelation about how the story actually went.
I'm going to try to get that post up in the next day or so to prove my point but the summation here is: the first time they met, Greta explicitly didn't try to kill Steph -- but afterwards, Steph framed it as "she tried to kill me in a jealous rage" and people took Steph's side because part of Greta's story was that her "good people bad powers" thing made her kind of sus and that's what eventually drove her to join Darksied.
So while Steph did get mentioned in YJ, including getting brought in to help as part of the invasion of Zandia in issues 50-52, her only significant contribution there was a very brief stand-off with Greta and getting stuck in a bubble with a several other 90's characters who I'm pretty sure don't exist anymore.
Tumblr media
The only other person I recognize here is Lagoon Boy. The pink filter doesn't help.
Other than that, the only interaction Steph's had with any member of Tim's friend group is the one issue of Teen Titans (2003), #66, where they're doing this membership drive thing and Steph (recently back from faking her death) tags along so they can pretend that maaaaybe she's going to join the team, but actually she's just there to have a very brief interaction with Traci 13 and Bombshell.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And an even briefer, awkward stare-down with Cassie that's only there because she and Tim's budding romance had been awkwardly cut short just so he could back to Steph the very instant she got back from faking her death no matter how little sense that made.
Tumblr media
And then Steph wasn't even interested in joining the team anyway she was just there for quote, "moral support" as Tim told Cassie he needed to take a break for a while and focus on the pre-Final Crisis chaos going down in Gotham.
Stephanie has never spoken to Bart, Anita, Slobo, or Ray so far as I know. She's never even met Cissie because the Arrowette who went to Zandia turned out to be Bonnie in disguise.
Pre-Flashpoint, the only other people she'd met outside of Gotham are Supergirl (whom she met in World's Finest (2009)) and Squire, who's still technically a Bat even if she lives in England. Stargirl and Miss Martian show up alongside Bombshell and Supergirl towards the end of Steph's solo series but they come out of nowhere only because BQM had wanted to make them part of Steph's entourage at some point but didn't get the chance, so I don't really count them. Nor do I count her showing up in a group shot at the end of the Gail Simone Wonder Woman, since that was just a line-up of cameos from every female hero she could get at the time.
So with all that as the preamble, to answer your second question: no, I don't think Steph is very well-liked by the wider superhero community. I also don't think she's disliked. I think the vast majority of heroes and villains have no idea who she is.
If they know her at all, it's probably as, "That girl in the purple that Cass is always hanging out with" or "Robin's ex-girlfriend who faked her death that one time" or maybe even as, "There was a girl Robin at some point right? I feel like I heard that somewhere," particularly since there was a big media shake-up after War Games. Heck, they might even know her as, "Cluemaster's daughter; she runs with the Bats, yeah? Heh, sucks to be Arthur" since he's actually gotten around more than her just by virtue of being on the Suicide Squad.
But as Spoiler, as Batgirl, as a hero? Basically unknown outside of Gotham. She's always been too much of a supporting character to develop those kinds of connections.

I’m fairly new to the Warrior Nun family, but this announcement has really boiled my piss.
Last year I heard about season 2’s release and the Avatrice kiss and I was pretty intrigued to watch. But before I could, it was cancelled. After years of suffering through Supergirl and being queerbated left right and centre with Kara and Lena, I figured I didn’t wanna go through the pain of watching a story only for the ending to be cut short and never continued. So I never watched WN…up until I heard that it was saved.
Because I knew there was a possibility that this story would be continued, I decided to watch WN. And of course, I fell in deep - binge watching the series within two days. Safe to say, Avatrice and the other characters have all taken a special place in my heart. I, like many other members of the fandom, was looking forward to seeing what was in store.
So when the triology announcement came out, with no participation from Simon, Amy, Alba or KTY, I wasn’t phased. Before I’d sort of hoped maybe the likes of BBC or another UK studio such as Film 4 had taken the reigns (and not hollywood/amazon or other streaming platforms). The writer/actor strike seemed to be the cause, so I wasn’t worried. Plus, the thought of THREE movies featuring our girls? I was stoked.
Then we got the email a few days ago. At first, I was excited- the writers strike had just ended, so maybe Simon and co. were going to speak? I was at least hoping there’d be more detail on the plot etc. and then Simon posted that tweet. And it all snowballed with the other writers and my heart just sank.
Tried to stay positive, but it’s pretty hard to do when the show’s writers are all saying they know nothing about it. So I went to bed last night (I’m in the UK) praying we’d wake up to good news.
How fucking wrong was I.
This contest is just a huge slap in the face of not only us fans, but artists, writers and actors on the original show. The T&Cs basically state that whoever wins will get their art abused and exploited for the next FIVE YEARS in return for what? A sketch? Pfffft please. Have you learnt nothing from the writers/actors strike at all?!
The worrying thing is what this contest signifies…the producers of this movie clearly don’t have the rights to the Netflix show that we all love. Hence no Simon, hence no announcement on the actors and hence the shitty attempt to get fans to do the hard work for them and design a new Halo.
It really is a joke. If the new producers are reading this, please do better. Engage with the fandom….and for the love of god, get SIMON BARRY on your team.
I don’t know what else to say other than this is exhausting for us fans - and this is coming from someone who didn’t get a chance to get involved in the fight to save WN at the beginning of the year!
Let’s just hope I’m proved wrong and that the movies will be what we hoped.
(P.S. also, please fire Perfectly Productive Media from all your future web copy/media relations - as a copywriter I can say that the countdown pages they’ve produced are 💩)
