The more you look into it, the funnier the whole myth of The Grim And Depressing Dark Ages is, in the extent in which it covers everything. Like no matter what area of medieval life you look at, the common misconception of it is something bleak, drab, colourless, joyless and smelling like shit. Like at best, an average peasant's life was repetitive, boring, joyless and smells like shit, and at worst it was terrifying, hopeless chaos that smells like blood and rotting plague corpses. I mean okay it was like that sometimes, but not all the time. They had enjoyments in life. Like consider food.
Medieval peasants' food wasn't just grey wet gruel for every meal and hard bread if you were lucky. One major staple food that was commonly eaten by peasants across Europe was pottage. I think every time and culture has some variation of the "just throw whatever we've got at hand in there and boil/fry/cook that shit" sort of meal, and for medieval peasants, that was pottage. And as the name would imply, it's made by throwing the aforementioned whatever-you-have-at-hand ingredients into a pot and then boiling that shit. And that's what's for dinner every day unless it's a special occasion.
And yeah eating the same damn boiled mush every damn day probably doesn't sound much less depressing than just eating bland gruel, but that's the thing, the pottage wasn't the same thing all the time, every time. The ingredients varied by whatever was available at any given time, by harvests, by what herbs are in season and what produce happens to be in the most ample supply. Different ratios and combinations of the same ingredients, fresh or dried or otherwise preserved, changing from season to season.
Freaking imagine being a medieval peasant whose favourite food in the entire world is spring pottage with meadowsweet mead, best thing you can think of. You've heard talk of finer meals, roast boar with wine sauce that they cook for kings, but you're pretty damn sure that it can't better than the pottage you get on the first weeks of May. The one meal that you'd have every day year round if you could, but you can't, so it's the highlight of your year. The thing you look forward to for months at a time. You're sure that is what is served every day in Heaven, and not only are you 100% down to physically fight somebody about it, you absolutely have. You broke your nose, it never quite healed right, and you regret nothing.
And then spring finally comes, and you've been eagerly keeping an eye on how all the right ingredients start to reach their right time, and not only have you been looking forward to May ever since the snows started melting because that specific Best Goddamn Pottage is the only thing you can seem to think about, everyone in your household has been looking forward to it as well - because it's the only thing you seem to talk about, too, and they're sick of hearing about it.
And this year it tastes like shit.

DUST !!!!! I heard you're sick atm so i m wishing you the speeeeediest recovery ! take it easy && rest well ok luvvie (⸝⸝o̴̶̷᷄‸o̴̶̷̥᷅⸝⸝) cus roommate au kaveh + alhaitham will make sure you get everything you need !! kaveh would be such a mother hen: fussing over you 'n making you soups, bringing everything bedside && haitham would tell him he's spoiling u too much buuuut he's a softie at heart (even tho he's super annoying abt making u take medicine) 'n will read to you til you fall asleep ! and OF COURSE they will be on their best behavior til u get better... and then someone will say they're the best caretaker & so the other must fire back a rebuttal & so on ! hehe (๑>؂•̀๑) ♡
Jadieeee <3 Thank you! Yes, Covid got me so I'm just lying in bed most of the day while napping 😭
And Kaveh so would! He's essentially building a pharmacy by your bedside and bringing you fresh tea every now and then. Heck, he'd probably even carry you to the bathroom and wash your hair for you while you soak in warm bath water when you are unable to do so. 10/10 - Kaveh is the King of pampering you.
I could imagine Alhaitham scrunching his nose when he sees Kaveh make soup in the kitchen as well (we all know how much he hates soup).
Secretly Alhaitham wishes he would've taken the initiative to care for you first though. So from this point onward expect double the amount of tea or... literally anything else. Kaveh goes out to buy all sorts of vitamin shots and immune boosters while Alhaitham goes out to get some dried herbs for medicinal tea from Tighnari (poor guy always ends up helping one of the guys because of you...). You may even see Alhaitham prepare soup for you (insane, I know - that alone shows that you're important to him). Alhaitham would even voluntarily read this tacky romance novel you've been reading to you because he knows you're too weak to do so by yourself.
Kaveh would totally be the 'there there, rest up and sleep, yell if you need anything' type of guy.
In the meantime, Alhaitham would be the 'did you drink enough yet? make sure to take your meds. Sleep is more important than ever when you're sick. According to your symptoms, you should-' type of guy (he really means well but when you're sick you really cannot deal with smartassery... although admittedly there is a lovely side to it too)

My Own Healer
Tumblr media
English isn't my first language so there are grammatical errors which I apologize for in advance.
_________________________________
Y/N was grinding dried medicinal herbs for future use since she can't really rely on anyone else, she'd rather save on the mora rather than go buy medicine at Bubu Pharmacy. Although Baizhu was more than happy to give her tips on how she can make those last and effective.
She looked at the powdered herbs before finishing the last batch and putting everything away, she smiled at the tiny achievement she's done in just half the day.
"That should do it", she said to herself when she heard a knock on the door, she opened it and saw Childe bruised and beaten which made her sigh.
"Come on in", Childe was more than happy as he walked in and made himself comfortable on the chair.
"Weekly sparring with the traveler?", she said as she got the medicines and bandage to use on him.
"You know it", even though he was wounded he was still playful and had a grin on his face.
"Basing on your face right now, you must've had a really good time considering you were badly beaten up", it's been like that for a few months now. She first met Childe while she was gathering herbs and saw him having a confrontation with the treasure horders. On how she came to treat his wounds, she can never know.
"It was pretty amazing, the traveler's improving every time we face off", He replied as he slowly took off his top revealing wounds and bruises.
"Good for you", she set down a basin of water and started cleaning his wounds careful not to worsen it while Childe could only watch her do so.
Y/N started to apply some medicine on his wounds, she didn't bother telling him it would sting since they've done it countless times but it seemed like he got used to it already. Covering the wounds with bandage.
"You should be careful next time, I might not be around the next time you come here for treatment", she didn't really mean it as she grab the basin and put it away.
"I can just ask others to heal me", he said jokingly which made her hum in response, while he put his clothes on.
"That's great to hear", she put her hair up and began cooking since the ginger would likely stay again.
"Anyway, I gotta go and catch up with the traveler", this made her stop since she's already prepared for two people.
"Alright, have fun", she smiled at him and showed him to the door, only when Childe was out he noticed the amount she was cooking.
"Have a nice day", she closed the door before he could say anything, Childe didn't have a choice but to leave before he could even say anything.
Y/N continued cooking and after she was done she packed the amount for one and headed out, walking around she spotted a patrolling mileleth which made her smile.
"Excuse me!", she called to get his attention which was successful as he stopped.
"How may I help you miss?", he was pretty friendly.
"Oh I came to give this to you, the person who was supposed to dine with me left in a hurry and I can't let such food spoil so I decided to give it to you", she held it to him which he accepted gratefully.
"Thank you so much, I've just been thinking of what to eat",
"It's no problem, you've been doing a great service to Liyue. It's the least I could do", she smiled before going back home.
-Time Skip-
Y/N packed some of her stuff and headed out, heading to Mondstadt to gaze at the dandelions. It was her favorite so far as it symbolizes freedom and she loved how it swayed and gets carried away by the winds.
Childe was on his way to Y/N's place as he knocked on the door, he waited for a few moments but no one opened the door which confused him.
"Girlie? Are you home?", he called through the door but still no response.
He opened the door and noticed that no one was around, even the things looked untouched for days. This made him nervous as he thought of what she said a few weeks ago.
"No, she can't be gone", he said as he headed out to the harbor thinking she went there to purchase some stuff.
When he got to the harbor he asked around but it seemed like no one really saw her around the whole day let alone a few days ago. Y/N was unaware with everything going on, she knew Childe could easily have himself treated by healer vision holders so she wasn't that worried.
Y/N was enjoying her trip as she got closer to Mondstadt, the trip took her 2 days since had to rest once in a while before she could see the first dandelion. She made camp right next to a few dandelions after making sure there are no hilichurls or slimes around.
Childe was going crazy since he still couldn't find her, he didn't really take it to heart when she said she won't be around anymore. He imagined the worse situations and visited every place he could think of but failed.
-Time Skip-
Y/N was on her way back home with a few dandelions with her after asking a local from Mondstadt if she could take a few of them with her which he agreed. She was almost at her house when she noticed the familiar ginger sitting in front of her door with his head hung low.
"Childe? What are you doing here?", she asked once she was close enough, he immediately look up when he noticed her presence and heard her voice.
"Y/N! Where have you been?!", he asked as he stood up and wrapped his arms around her.
"I just went to Mondstadt to admire the dandelions, did something happen?", she asked while patting his back with one hand.
"I was so worried when I came here and didn't see you, I searched everywhere", this made her laugh a bit.
"Why would you be? You can easily have others heal your wounds, you don't need me", his grip on her only tightened as she said those words.
"Childe?",
"I thought something bad has happened to you", he said softly.
"I'm alright, are you worried that your healer won't be around after your weekly sparring with the traveler?"
"No, I'm worried because I care about you", he pulled away and looked at her, tucking a stray strand of hair behind her ear.
"Enough with the jokes Childe, come on in. I'll make some tea to calm you down, you seem to be talking nonsense", she smiled and opened the door, walking in.
"Why don't you believe me?", she sighed and turned to him.
"Why would I? You're a mighty harbinger, you serve the cryo archon directly. Like you said you can always have vision holders heal you in a snap so I don't see the reason why you'd care for someone lowly like me", she stated as she prepared some tea. Childe was silent which made her laugh.
"Don't think too much about it, why don't you relax for a few days", she set the tea down and gestured at the opposite chair but Childe chose the one next to her.
"Childe?"
"I'm serious Y/N, you have no idea how panicked I was when I noticed you weren't home for a few days. I searched every place possible but no luck", he smiled softly and caressed her cheek making her blush.
"Why would you look for me?", she asked as she look at him.
"Isn't it obvious? I like you Y/N, I always have and that's why I preferred to be treated by you instead of the healers cause I get to see you", he said with a small smile.
"If, if this is one of your jokes it's not funny Childe", she moved away and gently pushed the cup over to him.
Childe leaned close and kissed her softly making her blush, he pulled away almost immediately since he didn't want her getting awkward.
"I'm not joking Y/N, I really like you", Y/N turned a brighter shade of red.
"I.. I like you too and I'm sorry for thinking that your confession was a joke", she fiddled with her fingers which made him laugh.
"No need to apologize", Childe smiled and kissed her forehead.
The day went by with Childe throwing either cheesy lines at her or just talking about random things which they both enjoyed doing.

(for any fandom you want)
"What the hell do you think you're doing?"
"That depends; how mad are you gonna be if I tell you the truth?"
Fearne fluttered her eyelashes, a curl of green hair tumbling over her shoulder. "I keep telling you, if you want something you just have to ask for it."
"See? That's the thing," Ashton hedged, trying (and failing) to hide a cluster of dried herbs behind their back. "I don't actually want anything."
She stared at them for a long moment, eyes large and luminous in the faint light outside the tavern. "Well?" she finally asked, breaking the silence.
"Well what?"
"What are you doing?"
"I was trying to give you something, not take something." Ashton shoved their hands in their pockets, herbs and all, and lounged back against the tavern wall. "Just a little something to spice things up the next time the gnome wants a little...personal time...with you."
Fearne tossed her head with a scornful snort. "Whatever I want to do with Chetney is my business. I'm old enough to make those decisions for myself."
"Hey, no argument here," Ashton held their hands up in surrender. "You're free to do whatever you want with whoever or whatever you want, as long as everyone and everything consents. But that doesn't mean I don't want to fuck with him."
"Oh?"
"See this?" they had the herbs out again, holding the little bundle up for Fearne to examine. "Old man at that farm on the outskirts of town says they burn this stuff to keep wolves away. Supposed to smell pretty fucking bad to someone with a good sense of smell. Kind of smell that makes you go cross-eyed and sneeze half your brain out."
Fearne leaned forward and sniffed, wrinkling her nose up at the smell. Her nose wasn't as sharp as Chetney's, but she had to admit the odor was particularly pungent. "But it's not something that would hurt him?"
"No," Ashton drawled, shaking their head, voice a little too innocent. "Well...not if you don't burn it. Just a whiff of the dry plants should be enough to knock him on his ass, though."
She considered the plants for a moment, then focused on Ashton's mismatched eyes. "I guess it would be pretty funny," Fearne admitted.
"Wouldn't it?" they held the plants up, face splitting with a mischievous grin. "Come on, you can't say you've never wanted to see the old man sneeze so hard he wets himself."
"I can't say that," Fearne shook her head. "But I think I see what you mean."
Ashton held the herbs up a little higher, and Fearne took them and gently tucked them behind one ear.
"I fucking love you," Ashton breathed.
"Well, you'll have to wait your turn," Fearne teased with a wink. "I've got my hands full with Chetney."
"And now I'm scarred for life! Good talk, glad we did this. Let me know how it goes."
"Oh, I will."

Hart and Hunter - Chapter 20 - Part 2
Tumblr media
*Warning Adult Content*
Julian Hart
Next, I head down the street to Craft Essentials, where Danni Spelling welcomes me with a bright smile and a hand sign I used to associate with punks and rock concerts but which I've since learned represents the Horned God and is a used as a greeting between witches.
"Julian. Blessed be."
Danni is in their mid-thirties, has pale skin and closely shaved dark hair, is petite and pixie-like and gets mis-gendered so often they rarely bother correcting people even when they wear a shirt declaring their pronouns across the colors of the nonbinary flag.
"Hi, Danni. How's the, uh... spell-craft business going?"
I glance around at the shelves stocked with tiny bottles of essential oils, colorful handmade soaps, scented candles, dried herbs, crystals, books and various other items and wonder if my question is insensitive.
The few customers I've seen in Danni's shop haven't seemed like big spenders.
"Great," Danni exclaims.
"Ninety percent of my business is online, actually. The store is just a place to keep it all and make a few extra bucks on the side."
As I glance around the shop again, it makes sense. Everything is arranged to make it easy to locate and identify and the labels include information like the item's inventory number and color, presumably to reduce the chance Danni would send the wrong one by mistake.
At the moment, they're sorting small polished gemstones into neat little baskets on a table, arranged by color and size.
"So, what can I do for you?" Danni asks.
"You need a spell-kit or a candle? Something for focus and insight or clearing the mind? You got a big decision ahead of you, I think."
Taken aback, I fail to hide my surprise and Danni laughs.
"I'm psychic, like you, remember? I told you, I see auras."
Danni had told me that, I recall but I hadn't believed them.
They gesture at me.
"Your aura is all... swirly and agitated. 'Big decision' was just a guess based on what I've seen before. Am I right?"
"Yeah. I already made it, though," I say, thinking of the land-bond and Danni grins cheekily.
"Maybe that's what you've told yourself but your aura says otherwise. So, not to be nosy but what is it? You finally gonna put a ring on that man of yours and tie him down?"
I blink.
Whether their ability is real or not, Danni is certainly insightful.
"Something like that," I say, smiling.
"But I'm actually here for another reason."
Danni turns back to the table and continues sorting gems.
"Yeah, I figured. The cops were here earlier, asking all kinds of questions about the building, my relationship with Jeff... all that jazz."
"What happened recently?"
"I don't know. Like I told that dweeby detective... Halloran or whatever his name is... I hardly saw Jeff in the last few weeks before he died. I went over to talk to him about a new marketing strategy and he acted like he didn't know me. Then I saw him spending an awful lot of time next door with Steph and I figured maybe I didn't know him as well as I'd thought I did, either."
"Lagrange was hanging out with Stephanie Wong?"
Danni nods.
"Only recently, though. I honestly thought he didn't like her."
I frown as I infer two things.
First, that Halloran is still using his glamour to affect how he's perceived and second, that he hasn't been completely forthcoming with the information.
Unless he just hasn't had the chance to pass the intel along.
"You told the cops all that this morning?" I ask.
"Yeah and when they interviewed me at the station and right after Jeff died. Is it important?"
"I don't know," I say, which is the truth.
"Hey, I know this is probably the last thing you want to do right now but would you mind telling me what you told the police? As much as you can remember?"
Danni casts me a sly, sidelong look.
"While you're waiting for me to make you up that spell-kit, you mean?"
I laugh.
"Sounds like a deal."
As Danni selects various items from the shelves, wraps them carefully and packs them into a small cloth pouch, they recount their conversations with detectives Vasquez and Halloran while I take careful notes on my phone.
Most of it Dane and I already know but a few choice tidbits are new.
The revelation that Lagrange... or rather the skin-changer that had taken his place... had been friendly with Wong remains the most interesting point, however, and puts Stephanie at the top of my suspect list.
With their story concluded, Danni puts the finishing touches on the spell-kit.
"Okay... now a gem for you to concentrate on and ground your energies. Let's see..."
They take a step back and look me up and down.
"Amethyst. That's definitely your stone."
"Oh, really?" I roll my eyes and laugh.
"Who'd have guessed?"
"What do you mean?" Danni asks, sounding perplexed.
I point at my eyes.
"Are you color-blind?"
Danni's expression flickers.
"Actually... yeah, I am. That's why I label everything so carefully."
Mortified by my thoughtlessness, I roast in the instant broil of embarrassment.
"Shit. I'm so sorry. I didn't even think..."
Danni laughs.
"Dude, relax. It's okay. People don't know unless I tell them."
"Still, I shouldn't have assumed..."
Danni waves dismissively.
"Don't worry about it. Anyway, what's with your eyes? They're not blue?"
"No.... they're purple... like a bright, obvious purple."
"Wow," Danni exclaims, leaning closer, their own eyes wide as they peer at mine.
"That's super rare, right? I can't see the red part of purple, so it just looks like blue to me."
"So," I ask, my curiosity overcoming my mortification at last.
"If you didn't know I had purple eyes, why'd you say amethyst was my stone?"
"Just something in your aura," Danni says.
"I thought auras were... um... colorful," I say and wince but Danni only smiles.
"So much of our language and communication is vision-based. Most people think if you're psychic, it means you 'see' things. You and I know better, right?"
"Yeah," I agree.
"I mostly feel stuff... emotions, sensations, that sort of thing."
Danni nods.
"It's the same for me. I may not 'see' colors but I feel them. When I look at you, I feel purple. 'Purple' is an in-between color. It can mean a perfect blend of things or it can signify the state of being caught between two options... uncertainty, a big decision. That sort of thing. When I look at you, I sense the latter kind of purple."
They place the stone they'd selected for me and a card with instructions in the bag and tie it shut with a bit of hemp string before handing it over.
"So, there you go... a spell for insight and clarity."
Suitably impressed, I take it and fish out my wallet.
"What do I owe you?"
"Nothing," Danni rests a hand on my arm and smiles.
"It's a gift. Just let me know how it goes."
I thank them and prepare to leave, when a new thought strikes me and I turn back.
"Hey, when you went to visit Jeffrey and he acted strange, did his... er... 'aura' look any different to you?"
Danni nods.
"Yes, actually. Jeff's energy was always steady and settled... like a river in an old course. He knew what worked for him and he stuck to it. The last time I talked to him, he was all..."
Danni scrunches their face and waves a hand.
"I don't know. I'd almost say frightened. He was all over the map."
"Did you tell the police that?"
"I mean... I mentioned he seemed different but I didn't get into the psychic angle. You know how cops are."
"You'd be surprised," I say.
"Some are pretty open-minded. Anyway, this might sound strange but if you notice anyone else whose aura suddenly changes, could you let us know?"
I hand over a business card and Danni takes it with a nod.
"Sure. I can do that."
Spell-kit in hand, I take my leave and walk back down the street towards to my car, where I see that Stephanie's shop is still closed.
I consider calling Halloran... telling him of my new suspicions and asking for his help... but I decide against it.
If Danni told him everything they told me, then he already knows.
I sit in my car a while longer, hoping that Stephanie will show but after thirty minutes, I get hungry and bored and then it's time to pick Ingrid up from the college.
At home, I find Dane on the phone.
He's deeply absorbed in something, taking careful notes and after eavesdropping for a few minutes I gather he's talking to his mom about the land-bonding ritual.
I give him some privacy and help Ingrid carry Charlie the Cello over to Chloe and Grace's for her daily practice session.
Later, over dinner, Dane and Ingrid talk about wolf things and entertain me with stories from their childhoods.
Seeing Dane relaxed and laughing is a nice change and I don't want to bring down the mood, so I don't mention the information I'd gleaned from Danni.
Tomorrow will be soon enough to discuss the case.
With dinner concluded, Dane and Ingrid head out for a Run and Dane tells me not to wait up.
As part of the lead-up to the ritual, he needs to patrol the borders of the land he intends to claim every night and it will take a while.
In the meantime, I catch up on some reading, do some adulting I've been putting off and eventually go to bed.
Sometime later, I feel the bed dip and move over to make room for Dane.
When he crawls right over me, I mumble an objection and try to push him off.
As horny as I can be, I'm not actually always in the mood.
Rather than comply, though, he grabs my wrist in a vise-like grip and pins me to the bed, which is when it finally gets through my sleep-addled brain that the person on top of me is not, in fact, Dane.
At which point, I awaken and stare up into a pair of bright purple eyes.

Rhys Maddox
Tumblr media
"One need not be a chamber to be haunted." ~ Emily Dickinson ~
Basic Information
FACE/BODY CLAIM: Ioan Gruffudd
NAME: Rhys Steffan Maddox
AGE: He’s not entirely sure? Between 24 and 26?
EYES: Dark brown
HAIR: Dark brown
HEIGHT: 5'6
PRIMARY OUTFIT: Rhys' most common outfit is jeans, a baggy sweater, and high-top sneakers.
Personality
Despite his powers, Rhys doesn't like to be the center of attention, very much the opposite, in fact. About the only time he'll speak up for himself or in any way confront someone is if his powers are being questioned. While polite, he's very adamant about what he's capable of. Beyond that, Rhys has a tendency to be very gullible and easy to manipulate. He wants people to like him, so he's willing to do the things he think will make them happy.
Powers & Weaknesses
To save a little space/time, Rhys' abilities can be read about here. As for weaknesses - when it comes to his powers, rain and flowing water cause him trouble while he's trying to 'work his magic.' As stated in his personality section, he's also incredibly gullible, in the sense that he always wants to believe the best of people (even when they've proven time and again that he shouldn't.) And for some reason his powers don't like to work properly when/if he tries to do any kind of reading for his personal benefit.
Romance
Rhys is INCREDIBLY shy and has severe abandonment issues (which you can read more about in his bio.) This man will NEVER be the one making the first move. In his head, he could think your muse is the best thing since sliced bread, but getting him to admit it is like pulling teeth. Romancing him isn’t likely to be easy - at least not in most situations. It also doesn't help that he can't even trust his own powers when it comes to sensing how someone else feels about him.
Where to Find Him
The quickest answer here is 'in his shop.' But i don't want to shoehorn myself (and Rhys) into countless shop RPs (if I can help it) so here are a few other potential options:
Nearly parks, forests, etc. - While Rhys can't collect all of the herbs for his shop on his own, he definitely prefers to supplement with his own stock, so he can sometimes be found out collecting things.
Renaissance festivals - These aren't entirely by choice. However, Miss Lavinia manages to cajole Rhys into getting a booth with her every year. To be fair, they do a good amount of business, but Rhys always feels a little uncomfortable in the outfit he had to wear.
Following the cats - sometimes Miss Lily's cats will lead him to the most curious of places. They've got good intuition, and sometimes the seem to know when Rhys needs to be in a certain spot at a certain time.
Verses
Just because a verse isn't listed here doesn't mean I'm not interested in writing it. I adore all kinds of AUs, and welcome the chance to get creative with my muses. If you've seen a verse that another of my muses has, and you'd like to see this muse in something similar, let me know. You can also check out my 'Plot Ideas' tag, too. ^_^
Main Verse:
Rhys is a psychic who doesn’t look anything like a psychic. He’s got large brown eyes and tousled brown hair and a sweet smile that almost always looks nervous and/or sheepish. He runs a new age shop called The Rainbow Connection that sells dried herbs, crystals, books, and other new age paraphernalia. He also offers various readings, etc. He doesn’t ever go looking for ‘work.’ It just seems to come to him. He’s also not the type to call up the police and offer to help with a case - more likely, if he gets a vision, he calls and leaves an anonymous tip. That’s not to say he wouldn’t help if asked, but he prefers to keep a low profile.
Current/Ongoing Threads
If your thread with Rhys isn't listed here it's probably because it's been long enough since your last reply that I thought you'd dropped it. Message me to let me know you're still interested, and I'll happily add you to the list (with no pressure for a reply.) ♡
Wynter:
Better Left Forgotten (Main Verse)
Stuff That's Good to Know Before Starting a Thread
You may have noticed I didn’t list where Rhys lives or where the store is located. That was on purpose. I think it’ll be easier to interact with more people if I don’t give him a specific location. So I kept things vague, and will happily move his shop around to accommodate your muse (at least where and when it’s possible for me to do so.)

Hello you mrs. cheerio but not the cereal lefty eyebag 🤣
I think I have another week to wait for the glasses to be ready. The contacts are fine but for some reason it dries my eyes out so bad that I keep scratching it too.
What did you do today?
Yes, sometimes I pay attention, then sometimes I don't 😅 I think I really have to be into the story for it to catch my eye. But yeah, that explanation made sense. I'm a bit mad though because he died fast lol he should've suffered. (and I know this isn't part of the story, but I wish they Dreykov character in the Black Widow movie also died a painful death and not just a blast)
I don't remember him cheating... I remember him wanting to sleep with the girl but it never happened. I wish the show was on DVD so I can just rewatch it whenever lol I hope though that the 4th season is going to be okay, because they added a lot of new people. I'm guessing already going to have a lot of twists and turns.
Ah I see. So you've always kept your promises even small ones? You've never broken a single one?
And hey now! I am not corny. I'm punny but not corny lol also I was thinking of giving you the nickname honey nut cheerio, cause you a honey, you nutty (crazy and weird) and you like saying cheerio.

Can I please have headcanon for Blitzo, Stolas (not poly) and M&M With a moth demon S/O who was a plague doctor when they were alive but they died from the Black Plague, they still have the plague doctor uniform, old medical textbooks and an old briefcase full of flowers, herbs and old medical tools and equipment?
Headcanons Plague doctor
😈 Blitzø x Reader 🐴
You were the only doctor in I. M. P. and the only sinner. You were very smart and often helped them with their wounds. Blitz appreciated you as an employee and as a person. But when he saw you in the plague doctor costume, he tensed up
He saw you in the costume of the plague doctor when he came to visit you. The smell of herbs was coming from your apartment. You let him into your apartment, took off the mask and opened the windows. You told Blitzø that you decided to remember the times when you were alive. You told Blitzø that when you were alive, you were a doctor, and treated people for the plague. But unfortunately, you died from the black plague. But even in hell, you have not forgotten your profession, even though you have learned to use more modern means
You were happy to show him your old medical books and dried herbs. You had quite a lot of things that reminded you of your life. Even though you died, you still loved your job. Blitzø liked your dedication to your work
You worked quite a lot and Blitzø made sure that you didn't overexert yourself. Although your work brought you joy, but because of this, you often did not feel tired, even though you worked for many hours. Blitzø took care of you. He learned from you that it was the fact that you were a workaholic that ruined you when you were a human. He couldn't let that happen in hell
🦉 Stolas x Reader 🎩
Stolas has known you since the time when you were a human. He remembered how you turned to him for help when the plague was just beginning to appear. You agreed to give up your soul in exchange for knowledge and wisdom. You were able to live for several years, saving people from the black death, but you yourself died from this disease
In hell, you became a moth demon and were forced to obey Stolas. But he didn't treat you badly. He liked you. He allowed you to live your life and periodically called you just to chat. You were a good doctor and quickly found a job in hell, because not a minute in hell passed without fights
Stolas was a frequent guest in your house. He knew perfectly well that you keep things that remind you of the time when you were a human. You had a lot of old medical books. You kept old medical instruments, even though you didn't use them because of the huge amount of modern medical equipment. Stolas saw your longing for the old days and was always happy to talk to you about those days
Even after your death, Stolas was happy to share his knowledge with you. You've been chatting a lot. Next to each other, you felt calmer. Next to Stolas, you stopped feeling longing for the time when you were alive
🎶 Moxxie x Reader x Millie ⚔
Moxxie and Millie quickly realized that you are connected with the old medicine. You always smelled like herbs. When they saw you in the mask of the plague doctor, they confirmed their guess
You did not hide the events of your past life. You told them that you were a doctor, but died during the plague epidemic. You blamed yourself for a lot of things. You blamed yourself for not being able to help so many people. You blamed yourself for dying so early
Millie and Moxxie supported you and convinced you that this was not your fault. You couldn't have known in advance what might happen. There was no point in blaming yourself
Their support helped you cope with the burden that you took on yourself. They were always there to cheer you up and support you in moments of self-flagellation. You didn't know what you would have done without their support
🦉 Octavia x Reader 🌌
You and Octavia met thanks to her father. It was he who introduced you to her. You got along pretty quickly. You have become friends. When Octavia came to your house, she found quite a large amount of old medical equipment and a plague doctor's suit. She knew from her father that you were a doctor, but she didn't think that you had seen the plague epidemic with your own eyes
You told her the story of your death while she was rummaging through your things. You didn't mind, but you asked her to be careful, because some things could hurt her. Among your things, she found an old drawing made by a child's hand. When she asked you who drew this picture, you smiled wistfully and told her that when you were alive, you had a younger sister. It was she who drew this picture for you
You missed your sister. Octavia reminded you of her. You were sorry that you left her alone. You had no idea what exactly happened to your younger sister, but you knew perfectly well that now she is definitely not alive. Octavia didn't want you to be sad. You were her friend. You took care of her as if she really was your little sister. She wanted to repay you with kindness for kindness
Octavia often took you to unusual places, like a stuffed animal store. She took you to concerts of her favorite bands. She tried to make you forget about your longing. And she was doing it. You began to smile more often. It's like you've started living again

hello!!! In the reddit AMA, Shion mentioned that Robotus can only taste in 2 dimensions. Do you have any headcanons about maybe Robotus maybe getting an upgrade to taste? Maybe some NSFW thoughts? Thank you!
GKRKRKGRKGK ANON THIS IS GONNA BE AN ESSAY I HAVE TOO MANY THOUGHTS
NSFT BELOW
tw : nausea and vomiting, alcohol. Also Horrific Combinations of Food.
EHEHEHEHEHE THIS IS GONNA BE A LONG ONE, GENERAL STUFF FIRST
ALRIGHT so <3333,, it really is a He Didn't Know What He Was Missing situation?
CAUSE,,, AB has literally zero frame of reference for taste?? The most he can make out is Corrosive and Non Corrosive... which is basically There Is Now A Hole In His Tongue Ouch VS A Slight Temperature Change, Maybe A Textural Difference.
SO HE DOESN'T REALLY GET WHY YOU MAKE SUCH A SAD FACE WHEN HE TELLS YOU HE CAN'T TASTE ANYTHING????
The only reason he decides to give himself taste buds is bc you Insist smdnsmd he probably wouldn't bother otherwise.
he DOES have a stomach... kinda - its a tank he can remove and plug into an incinerator!!
AWE BUT <333
OKAY BUT <333 he doesn't have the human flaw of what I like to call Stomach Hurty (tm). He can eat nearly anything so long as it isn't,,, corrosive. this means that this man will create the most batshit combinations of food
Every single time you've asked the question 'hey what would an orbeez taste like - oh wait no that'd kill me' WELL GUESS WHAT IT WON'T KILL HIM.
HIS BODY DOESN'T GIVE HIM THE SIGNALS OF 'oh god spit that out its gonna kill you' NOPE HES GONNA FUCKIN GO FOR IT AND LOVE EVERY SECOND.
Just,, taking a bite out of a whole lemon like it's an apple bc He Likes The Tingle. You come into the kitchen to make yourself breakfast and he's sat at the kitchen table with a Bowl Of Dried Herbs eatin it like cereal while he reads. You'll catch him spreading toothpaste on a tea biscuit like nothing is wrong. You can visibly see him debating taking a bite out of the pencil you left on the table because.
I MEAN IT'S USUALLY ALL VERY NICELY PRESENTED BUT IT'S ALSO REPULSIVE. YOU LEARN NOT TO ASK WHAT HE'S EATIN BC,, IT NEVER LOOKS AS WEIRD AS IT ACTUALLY IS????
'oh, what's that?'
'whipping cream, raw eggs and sprinkle of pinesol <3 it creates this fantastic curdling effect :)'
'that's nice dear </3'
YOU LEARN VERY QUICKLY TO NEVER STEAL ANY OF AB'S FOOD BC ITS ONLY RARE OCCASIONS THAT HE EATS FOOD THAT WOULDN'T CAUSE YOUR INSIDES TO BECOME YOUR OUTSIDES.
his first time experiencing spice sure is something <3
'oh that- ow, ow - ah!'
'y- oh it's chili <3 it's spicy! It's supposed to hurt.'
'how have humans survived this long when you actively eat things that hurt you-'
after he gets through his Usual Dramatics he,,, does end up really enjoying spice!!!
Andre and Myc give him Poprocks and he GRABS HIS CHEST IN PANIC BECAUSE OH GOD ITS MOVING. Very cute overall, even if they got Promptly Yelled At directly after.
Mint is a very interesting sensation for him? It's like,, The Flavor Of Cold, Without Being Cold??? When he drinks mint tea you can see his brain buffer bc,, its Hot And Cold What Is This??
same thing with Savory?? It's like,, Three Dimensional Taste - the depth of the meal rather than a Specific Flavor?? But like he'd notice it if it was gone???? the first time he eats a steak he spends a solid 10 minutes just,, trying to Explain Himself. Very cute <3
'No - it tastes like a different taste.'
' 'it tastes like a different taste' BOY HOWDY doesn't that just narrow it down.'
'>:('
'You should have started with that - '(y/n), this tastes different from other tastes i've tasted', I would've got it from the beginning.'
'>:(((((('
LOTSA MOMENT LIKE THAT, ACTUALLY. Esp for describing things that,, Humans Can't Eat?? <333
HIS FAVORITES???
Icecream, Gelato, Sherbet, Sorbet - any variation of Cold and Sugary and Soft. TBH,, overall he really likes sweets? He'll purposefully eat a bunch of your favorite candy so that when you kiss, he tastes like your favorite candy <3
I ALREADY MENTIONED SPICE BUT <333 YEA, he really likes vvv spicy foods. Or just straight spoonfuls of chili powder. It takes him a while to build a tolerance but He Isn't A Quitter >:( he isn't gonna be beaten by some herb who do you think he is smnsmd.
OVERALL?? Super Intense Flavors. Very Sour, Very Sweet, etc. 100% Dark Chocolate, White Vinegar,
'Darling I don't have a liver, please stop looking at me like that >:(' yea he really likes Alcohol!! It's still jarring to see him finish an entire bottle of Vodka within an hour smndsmd - he can't get drunk, it just has a very Sharp Taste that he enjoys!!
<3 Toast, burnt to ratshit. Practically cinders. you're convinced that if he held it too hard it'd turn to ash. the correct way to eat toast 1v1 me
OH HE ALSO LIKES TEA <3 he mostly drinks it bc it smells like a garden!! How delightful <3 yea he uses like 7 teabags what about it?
NO BUT THERE'S DEFINITELY A HORNY ANGLE HERE <333
You REFUSE to let him eat anything at first because!!! You want the first thing he tastes to be special!!! It can't just be a cheese toastie or smth, it should be something memora- wait when did he get on his knees-?
OH YEAH <33333
<3 you wanted it to be special, right? <3 there is literally nothing in the world that's more special to him than you. please he is not above begging right now
<3 the sound he makes when his tongue makes contact is akin to a man finding an oasis? <3
you're at least 99% sure he came instantly,,,, but you don't bring it up bc <333 you know he's gonna get flustered, and you wanna make sure he gets to enjoy himself!!!!!
Just this,, fantastically throaty groan as he yanks you closer <333 probably a muffled 'oh fuck - oh fuck' while his tongue explores!!
he <333 needs a minute to process all the feelings n new sensory input - lots of stop-starting?? Like he'll slow down and get this Massive Shiver before continuing??? <3333
OKAY HE MIGHT GET A BIT DISTRACTED FROM,,, y'know your genitals bc he'll get caught up kissing and licking your skin?? The salty-sweet taste is,, Completely New and he's enraptured <3
He doesn't even notice his moaning OR shaking?? Like his hands on your thighs are practically vibrating?? You can feel the vibrations from his mouth all the way down his tongue??? <333 yea he's kinda lost in his own world
<3 all remaining composure is gone when you cum. He's sucking n licking and positively gulping like it's the last meal he'll ever get <333 he looks positively disheveled when he pulls back to look at you.
ORAL BECOMES HIS NEW FAVORITE THING <333 listen you aren't going to work for a solid few days, maybe a week. He needs to figure out how Every Inch of you Tastes <3
EEEEEE FUCK THIS WAS SUCH AN ABSOLUTE BLAST, THANK YOU FOR THIS ASK!!!

Home [Anakin x Reader]
Tumblr media
Word Count: 2000+
Summary: You're on the desolate planet of Dagobah, and things are a far less than exciting. However, someone crashing close to your home changes everything.
Requested on Wattpad.com at StarkWars084
You were whittling away at a stubborn piece of wood when you saw a ship of some sort fall from the sky not far away. You jumped up from the small chair you had made and examined the smoke trail in awe. Nothing exciting ever happened on this disgusting swamp planet and you absolutely had to go to the crash sight.
Smiling to yourself, you climbed down your tree house and headed off in the direction of the crashed, mysterious object. Wading through the thick mud was easy and you started walking a ways off, but stopped suddenly. You reached toward your back only to grasp empty air-- you'd left your weapon at home. You were furious with yourself for forgetting such an important tool. The planet you were on was nowhere shy of dangerous creatures. Looking over at a large stick on the ground, you decided it would have to do. You grasped it tightly and continued on until you found a broken ship submerged in quick sand. If anyone was alive in there, they certainly weren't now. It was a shame too. You were hoping to find someone (You didn't care who) to make life more interesting. You would have settled for anything in fact.
The sand prevented you from investigating closer, but it was just as amazing from where you were. Sure you had seen ships before, but that was a long time ago, before you came here. The ship was swallowed up quickly by the hungry sand and you strained to see the last bit of the tail disappear. You were about to leave when you noticed footprints leading off from where the plain had been. A sound from behind you made you jump, and you spun around with your makeshift weapon in hand. A man with shoulder-length dark hair and clothes caked in sand stood there. His eyes were kind and calm despite the large stick only inches from his face.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you," he stated. Even if it wasn't his intention, he had scared you a great deal, and you found yourself unable to lower the stick. He slowly raised his hands and started pushing the weapon down, and you let him since you couldn't do it yourself.
"Who are you?" You asked him once you had found your voice.
"It's alright, I'm Anakin Skywalker. I'm a Jedi, and I can help you off this planet," he answered. "I could take you as far as Coruscant, if you like."
You bit your tongue and changed your mind. I'm not okay with anything! you decided, I wanted anything but a Jedi. The Jedi were the people you had tried to escape in coming here. You had thought you wanted to be one at one time, but they had rejected you when you had failed their ridiculous trials. Now there was one here, though you had chosen to live on one of the most remote planets you could find. You were angry with him though you knew it was not him alone that had denied you the position.
"Well, I'm very glad you've found a way to get home," you said, trying to maintain a steady voice. "You can do so alone. I wish you luck." With that, you spun around and headed back to the home you had made. Sloshing footsteps and swinging branches told you that he was stumbling right behind.
"Hold on!" He called after you. You were nearly running, and you would've kept going, but this was the only social interaction you would get for who knew how long. You rolled your eyes and slowed so he could catch up. "It's dangerous out here alone," he warned.
You slowly turned around and rolled your eyes. "Is it?" you scoffed and took in a deep breath while you tried to get your thoughts together. "Listen, I do appreciate the offer, but I have no interest in heading back to anywhere the Jedi Council is."
"What do you mean back?" he questioned. "You mean you've been there before?"
You glared at him. "Do the Jedi now find things easy to forget?" you felt yourself shaking and tried desperately to stand completely still. You're not mad at him, you told yourself. You knew you shouldn't be mad at all, but it grew more difficult the more he spoke.
"I'm sorry, I don't know what you're talking about," Anakin apologized. "But at least let me take you to a safer, more populated planet." You almost laughed now.
Gesturing to land around, you responded, "Even if I wanted to leave, how would we?" Anakin looked around.
"I'd find a way," He insisted. You knew there was really nothing he could do, but you liked his determination.
Still, you weren't sold on the idea of returning. "Well," you started hesitantly. "If you're going to find a way back, you'll need a place to stay." You gestured for him to follow you. He was surprisingly good at navigating through the mud. He knew exactly where to step and where not to. You guessed it was the Force showing him the way. It had for you, too, before you memorized the land. When you got to the lake that was not far from your tree house, you made Anakin scrub off all the sand off his arms and neck.
When you made it back to your home you showed Anakin the way up the tree. "You built this?" He asked you once he was at the top.
You nodded proudly. "It took me a while, but it finally came together." You ran your hand across the railing you had put up. You were rather proud of your work and had a right to be. It was sturdy and homely which was perfect for where you lived. "You could probably stay just outside my kitchen for now. Tomorrow I'll have to make a proper bed for you."
Anakin nodded to show he understood then looked questioningly at you. "If I'm going to stay here, I need to know your name."
You had completely forgotten to introduce yourself! You scolded yourself inwardly. "Y/N," you told him.
He smiled "Thank you for offering your home to me, Y/N" You knew he was just being polite. He wouldn't have the comfort of a bed like the one you had made, and you couldn't make one now. You didn't have the items you would need, and it was getting too dark to gather any.
"I recommend you don't leave the house until dawn," you suggested. "The creatures here love the dark."
"I wont," he assured you. Even though he was a Jedi, you knew you couldn't leave him to figure that out on his own.
You would help him the best you could. You didn't hate him. In fact, you found it hard to dislike him. But it was impossible to ignore his title: Jedi. Just thinking the name made you shudder.  You wished him a good night, and Anakin took his robe off and lay down on one of your pillows. He pulled the robe over himself to stay warm and you went to your moss bed. It was actually a nice, comfortable bed that took you a while to complete. You looked over at Anakin who was still awake, staring up at the sky, and your stomach twisted. He wanted to go home, but you couldn't help him do that. The best you could do was make sure he didn't freeze, starve, or get killed by ravenous animals, so that's what you would do. You would keep him alive until he could get back home.
________________________________________________________________________________
You woke up earlier than usual and dressed quickly. You decided to go hunting in hopes of finding some meat to balance out the root stew you would make. As you slipped the cotton shirt over your head, you realized that you didn't have any extra clothes for Anakin to change into, and his clothes were still covered in mud that had dried over. Surely, it wasn't a comfortable way to live. You walked over to Anakin who was fidgeting and stirring in his sleep. You would have to make him a change of clothes as soon as possible.
You grabbed your spear and knife and climbed down the tree easily. You wanted to do this quickly so you could start working on the other projects Anakin's arrival had made for you. You waited at some rocks near the lake with your knife in hand. Nudj, you knew, were lizard-like creatures that stayed around this area. You had only killed a few before, but they weren't bad. When a brave nudj climbed the rocks you quickly threw your knife and pierced it's skin. It thrashed for a second before falling still. You knew the alarm it let out would warn the others and keep you from getting anymore from there. You retrieved the knife and nudj and headed to a different patch of rocks. You repeated this pattern four more times until you had three of the lizards to take back. You jogged back to the tree and climbed up. Anakin was awake.
"Good morning," you called to him. His face was pale and there were beads of sweat on his forehead. "Are you okay?"
He nodded. "Yes, I'm fine." You looked him over worriedly. Treating disease was not something you could cram into today. Deciding to leave him be, you started preparing a stew from roots herbs and the nudj you caught earlier. Anakin came up to you and watched for a little bit.
You turned to him while the stew cooked. "Have you figured out how you'll be getting back?" you questioned.
He shook his head. "No, I haven't, but I'll find a way," he answered confidently. Surely he knew he wouldn't be able to. The only thing that flew on the planet were the bogwings, and you didn't want to mess with them.
"I'll have to make you a change of clothes," you told him. "I'll do that after we eat." You turned back to the food and stirred it.
"Thank you," Anakin said. You pointed to a small pot you had sitting by.
"If you're going to stay here though," you announced. "You'll have to help and boil some of that water."
He smiled and took the full pot to a small fire you had going.
After you and Anakin had finished eating, you walked over to a bin where you kept thread and fabric. You hadn't expected to use it really so you were happy you found a use for it. You sent Anakin to wash the dishes, but it didn't keep him busy for long. He came to where you were working.
"Tell me about the time you were with the Jedi council," he requested.
You stiffened. Of course, he would be curious, but you didn't want to talk about it. You just wanted him to have a magical solution to leave and do so. You hesitated, trying to play out the conversation in your head.
"When I was younger," you started. "All I wanted to be was a Jedi. I looked up to them and my parents did too." A lump formed in your throat. "They noticed me, finally, and I trained for a long time until I became a Padawan. I wasn't long after that my parents were killed. I couldn't preform as well as they wanted me to. I could only think about them, hoping they would come back. It devastated me, and at times, I even felt resentment--hatred. You know that's not acceptable for Jedi." You inhaled deeply and wiped a tear from your cheek with your fingertips. "They expelled me, and I left. I was angry with the council." You gritted your teeth. "I was angry with Master Yoda."
Anakin looked puzzled. "Master Yoda is very wise," he defended. "I'm sure he had a good reason."
You wiped your face and looked at him reasonably. "Master Yoda has it all wrong," you argued. "There has never once been a Jedi who has kept to the code completely. Our emotions make us human, and those that embrace that are the ones he wants to get rid of. He can't turn us into his mindless, emotionless robots to fight his battles for him."
Anakin was silent. The whole time you were talking your hands were working on the outfit for him.
"But never mind," you attempted a smile. "I finished your outfit." You turned around while Anakin switched his clothes. When he was finished you turned back to see your work. You laughed out loud. The clothes looked absolutely ridiculous. They were baggy and blended into each other making it look like one piece.
"Well, it's a start," he teased, smiling. "At least now I'm not covered in sand from head to toe."
You made a note to yourself to practice your seamstress skills later.
You had just finished the bed for Anakin when the sun sank behind the trees. He slept on it well the first night, but he grew restless from nightmares that not even the most comfortable of beds could fix. You often had to sit by his bed with a cold cloth to calm him. He told you they were of his mother. He had to watch her die over and over again every night and it made him miserable. You did the best you could, but that wasn't much. There were nights when he would wake up suddenly, and you would have to speak quietly and soothingly to him until he could fall asleep again. At first it bothered you, but it troubled you more now.
Anakin had stayed with you for two weeks before a ship landed right next to the lake where you were gathering water one day. You dropped the bucket and ran to the ship. The door opened and a light-haired, bearded man emerged confidently. His eyes were tired but that didn't change how he acted.
"Hello there!" he called to you. "Allow me to introduce myself: I'm Obi-Wan Kenobi. Could you give me a hand with something?" Stunned you nodded and beckoned him forward. "I'm sorry about landing here without permission. I didn't think this planet was populated. I'll leave soon, but I seem to have lost something and I need help finding it," he explained.
"What did you loose?" you asked him, though you could already guess. Obi-Wan looked at you warily.
"His name is Anakin Skywalker."
You froze. When Anakin arrived, the thought that he might have someone looking for him hadn't even occurred to you. He was back at the tree house preparing food for the both of you. You weren't sure if you should get him or not. As if he heard his name called Anakin came running up from behind you.
Obi-Wan perked up. "Anakin!" He called cheerfully. "I'm glad you're alive, Anakin. You had us all worried." Despite the fact that this man had brought Anakin a way home, he didn't look all that happy.
"You shouldn't have come for me, Master." Anakin said. "You could've saved supplies and time going on without me."
"Anakin don't talk like that," Obi-Wan commanded. "You are my friend, and I will not leave you like that."
Obi-Wan looked at you. "I thank you for any help you have given my young apprentice. You will be paid in whatever currency you find acceptable." He turned back to Anakin. "Let's go, Anakin. Master Yoda will be happy to know you're alright."
Your heart sank. Anakin had found a way to leave after all. This is what you wanted. You reminded yourself. Once he's gone, life will be normal again. Boring and normal. You didn't want him to go now, but what could you do? It was Anakin's decision, and he was already following his master. You stood there waiting for the ship to take off, but it never did. In fact the door opened once again and both of them walked out.
"Is everything okay?" You questioned with a small glimmer of hope that the ship might not start. Anakin was looking much happier now and Obi-Wan more upset.
"It appears," Obi-Wan spoke first. "That Anakin will be staying with you," he explained.
You looked at Anakin who was next to you now.
"Are you serious?" you asked quietly, though your heart was beating rapidly.
He looked up at Obi-Wan. "Thank you for your training, Master," he said respectfully. Obi-Wan nodded blankly.
"I don't know what I'll tell the council," he said almost talking to himself.
Anakin smiled. "I'm sure you'll think of something," he assured. Obi-Wan looked up and smiled.
"Yes, well, I'll still have to pay you, Y/N," he said. "I'll go and get whatever supplies you'll need." He looked at Anakin again and laughed. "And good heavens hopefully some proper clothes." You both laughed merrily. You felt wonderful and couldn't stop smiling.
Obi-Wan left and Anakin hugged you tightly.
"You're really staying," you whispered.
He chuckled. "Yes, I am." He pulled away and looked into your eyes. "You were right, Y/N. I shouldn't try to push any emotions aside anymore." He rested his hand on your cheek. "I love you, Y/N." He grabbed your hand. "Let's go home."

The four witches of Greenheaven
Despite the different personalities they have the strongest bond and together protect Greenheaven and its inhabitants.
Cassandra, the nocturnal witch
Always saying they want to be alone but actually enjoys spending time with friends, deathly loyal, mind over heart because cannot afford to hurt again, cold but fragile like glass, empathic but this doesn't mean they care, complains when their friends come visit but secretly enjoys it, damaged, but because of that even more beautiful, quiet whispers and sarcasm, helps out lost ghosts in exchange for interesting stories, dresses and clothes from another time, black humor and sharp remarks, in love with Shakespeare
Tumblr media
Aesthetic: dried up roses and specks of dust floating in the morning light, old abandoned houses frozen in time, the howling of the wolves at the moon, trembling candles and silver rings, dragon breath and foggy November mornings, black tea with rose blossoms, faded photographs and the echo of  clock chimes, lace cuffs and black cardigans, dramatic black witchy hats, poetry books worn out from use, biting their lip until it bleeds
Song: ilomilo by Billie Eilish
Miranda, the celestial witch
Always with their head in the clouds, curious, easily bored and easily distracted, prefers willful ignorance over harsh reality, dreamer, always fascinated by the most simple things, sees entire worlds and deep meanings where nobody else would, charismatic, forgetful and a bit clumsy, the one people come for advice, 'yes, but what if...', keeps a journal, driven by curiosity, spends hours talking with the elves, has the oddest sleeping schedules, fascinated by humankind

┬┴┬┴┤・ω・)ノ Hey!
Sorry, but just a small note (≧▽≦)
Aside from the names and the titles (I got inspired from them so I decided to leave them like that), the character descriptions and aesthetics are all in gender neutral pronouns because I don't want anyone to be offended nor left out 💜
Hope you enjoy!

Ed Levine: Welcome to Special Sauce 2.0. Serious Eats podcast about food and life. Every week on Special Sauce we begin with Ask Kenji, where Kenji Lopez-Alt, Serious Eats Chief Culinary Consultant, gives the definitive answer to the question of the week that a serious eater like you has sent us.
J. Kenji Lopez-Alt: Generally, sort of like delicate leafy herbs like cilantro, parsley, basil, they tend to not be very good in their dried counterparts. Thyme, rosemary, oregano, they actually work pretty well in their dried forms.
EL: After Ask Kenji, a conversation with our guest, today in house, Misha Collins. He is, of course, an actor best known for his role as the angel, Castiel. Did I pronounce that right?
Misha Collins: Castiel.
EL: On the CW television series Supernatural, and has now written with his wife Vicki Collins, The Adventurous Eaters Club: Mastering the Art of Family Meal Time.
EL: Now it's time to meet Misha Collins. He's, of course, an actor best known for his role as the angel, Castiel?
Misha Collins: Castiel.
EL: On the CW television series Supernatural, which has had an insane run, right? It's like 2008 to 2019.
MC: Yeah, we're in our 15th season right now.
EL: That never happens.
MC: No, it doesn't. I don't know why they kept us on the air.
EL: Collins is also the co-founder and board president of Random Acts, a nonprofit organization dedicated to funding and inspiring acts of kindness around the world. He's also a published poet. Very impressive dude.
MC: Thank you.
EL: And has now written with his wife Vicky Collins, The Adventurous Eaters Club: Mastering the Art of Family Meal Time. So welcome to Special Sauce, Misha.
MC: I'm very happy to be here.
EL: So the first question I always ask, in your case it's particularly relevant, is tell us about life at your family table growing up. Your family table was not exactly traditional.
MC: That is true. I was raised by a single mom. My parents separated when I was three years old and I visited my father on every other weekend for most of my childhood, but he wasn't really a cornerstone of my upbringing. But my mother and my brother and our dog were a very tight family unit, and we lived in Western Massachusetts primarily growing up and moved a lot. We were in a new home I would say on average once every nine months or so. I think I lived in 15 places by the time I was 15.
EL: So you were like an Army brat, only you were a different kind of brat.
MC: Right. An Army brat without the parents building up a pension plan.
EL: Right.
MC: Another thing I think that an Army brat family has is a cadre possibly, of other kids that are going through the same experience, and I was generally going to a new school every year and meeting kids that were in fairly stable childhoods and who knew one another and who were familiar with the school, so I was always approaching schools and new towns-
EL: You were the permanent new kid.
MC: Yeah, with a little bit of trepidation, and trying to figure out how I could ingratiate myself to the new communities and the new schools. My mother was very eccentric and iconoclastic. She talked about the revolution a lot. I was born in 1974, and we lived through a tumultuous political time in our country, and she didn't want to have us grow up being conventional young men, so she would do things like dress me up in pink tights and paint my nails and send me off to Cub Scouts. Which I think in 2020 might actually fly, but in a working class community in Massachusetts, when you show up at Cub Scouts in the boys' locker room with nail polish and long hair-
EL: Not so much.
MC: And pink tights, you're ostracized. So, I kind of had to find a way to blend in and disappear a little bit as a kid in new schools, and I think that it built a lot of character in a lot of ways, and made me more resilient and adaptable and independent than I otherwise would have been. But at the same time, there's a certain lack of stable foundation that was challenging.
EL: I had not the same kinds of travails in my own childhood, but you do become resilient and eminently adaptable, but it also has a cost. It exacts a cost that you can't deal with as you're going through it, but you almost have to deal with it at some point in order to really resolve some of the issues that came out of it, I assume.
MC: Yeah. I'm sure you've found the same thing, but I feel like I'm a 45-year-old man and I'm still discovering things and unpacking them and repairing them, I think. There are definitely things that you take away from a childhood like that that give you real strength.
One of the things that I love about my childhood is that I know that you don't need money to be happy and you can get by on just about nothing, and that gives you, I think, quite a bit of power going into the world because you don't feel beholden to the comforts of ... I don't feel beholden to the comforts of money. I'm okay with scarcity. At the same time, I don't know that I was really terribly good at connecting with people or making friends, and I probably still struggle with that.
EL: Yeah. So, you wrote this amazing piece in The Times, and you wrote that “times were often lean, but one luxury we always had an abundance was food, even if it came by the five finger discount. My mother taught me how to steal peaches from the Stop and Shop grocery store when I was four. We were stealing from the man. It was a justified rebellion against an unjust system.”
EL: So, whoa. Okay, those sentences made me stop in my tracks. That's pretty intense. I was actually thinking about this movie, Shoplifters. I don't if you've ever seen it.
MC: Oh yeah. Yeah.
EL: Because in there the father figure, who turns out not to be the father, teaches the kids how to steal so they can eat. And so, wow. I mean, talk about that. Talk about getting conflicting messages from your mother. It's like, whoa.
MC: It's funny, because now hearing you read that, it paints a portrait of a parent who was raising children without a moral compass, and I think that was not at all the case. This was righteous rebellion. We were stealing ... We would never have stolen from the local co-op, but this was from a corporate entity, and these corporations were out to exploit the proletariat. I actually felt the exhilaration of feeling like I was part of a rebellion at that point, and frankly indoctrinated into that at a really young age. At the age of four, I was aware that it was us against them. We were the little guys and that we had a justice on our side. At the same time, it's a complicated thing to be training a little four year old how to steal.
MC: I have a very distinct memory of the fruit island in the Stop and Shop, and me grabbing a peach. This was the first time that I remember ever shoplifting anything. I grabbed the peach and then I ducked down behind the island, and my mother said, "No, no, no, no, no. You can't do it like that. You have to take it. You have to be very calm. You have to not look around. You can't show that you're distressed at all or that you're nervous, and then you put it in your backpack." Then we would go up to the cash register and we would pay for some of the groceries, so that we were distracting them, and then scoot out the door.
EL: And you just, I assume, felt that there was nothing particularly abnormal about this because you had nothing to compare it to.
MC: Right. Yeah, this was my normal.
EL: Yeah. You weren't stealing from somebody or something that needed the money, you were stealing as part of an ethos. Right?
MC: Right.
EL: As part of like, this is the way we work the system to fight the man.
MC: Right, precisely. Yeah.
EL: You also wrote, and I'm going to quote a couple of more sentences from the piece because it was so beautiful, "My upbringing taught me you didn't need money to be happy, that you didn't have to play by the rules, that the whole world was just begging to be explored. But now by the hindsight of fatherhood and from the comfort of a therapist's couch, I see that while my childhood had been rife with adventure, it also had been lonely and frightening and wanting." So you were always reconciling those two things, weren't you?
MC: I wouldn't say I was always reconciling them, because as a child I struggled at times. I felt sad and lonely, but I didn't think that it was because of my childhood.
EL: Got it.
MC: I thought my childhood was full of adventure, and I was proud of my childhood. Up until when I was 25 I don't think I looked back on it and thought that there had been any damage done by that.
EL: Right, and that there was anything dysfunctional about it.
MC: Right. And on balance, my childhood was incredibly ... I think I had a secure attachment with my mother. My mother was there. She was loving. She never failed to convey that love to me and my brother. So she served as my anchor emotionally, and that was unfailing. But because the rest of our life was so fractured and so nomadic, she was my only anchor.
EL: Yeah, because as you said, how do you establish connections with any kids when you're moving every few months?
MC: Right, and when you're showing up at school in pink tights at a working class school you're also getting alienated by your peers, and so the other kids actually ended up being kind of frightening to me.
EL: I read your Wikipedia page, and somehow you escaped and you ended up at a prep school, Northfield Mount Hermon, and then the University of Chicago. What a narrative your life has been. How did that happen?
MC: Now that you're asking the question, I'm reflecting on it possibly for the first time. But one thing that I know happened as a result of my childhood and and partly as a result of feeling like I wasn't fitting in with other kids, is that I was a smart kid and I could win the favor of my teachers. So when I was in school, I did very well in school. It was like the thing I could throw myself into and be safe and get some accolades.
EL: Some positive feedback.
MC: And some positive reinforcement. So I did well in school, and we lived in the town of Northfield for a little while, which was where Northfield Mount Hermon is. They had a program that had been implemented from the inception of the school where local day students could get pretty much a full ride if they were in need, and we were in need, so I could go to a fancy high school for free as a day student. Then I ended up basically getting the same deal at the University of Chicago.
EL: Amazing.
MC: Yeah. At the time, I thought I was going to go into politics, so I was sort of on a very clear path. And that wanting to go into politics was also born of my childhood and of my mother talking about politics all the time, and making me and my brother very aware of the plight of people in need in our country and around the world. It felt like that was the right place for me.
EL: Yeah. Again, and this is the final sentences I'm going to read from the Times piece, because it gets us back to food. Which is, "I recently found an old journal in a box in the back of my closet, and on the page from a decade ago where I had taken inventory of the good and bad of my upbringing the word cooking is circled and underlined with urgency in the plus column, as if I was thinking that food had been the cornerstone of happiness in my youth." Elaborate on that. I mean, that's an amazing statement.
MC: I think as a nomadic family, we moved around and we brought with us what we could, and in terms of material objects, there was very little that was a through line. But we did bring with us from place to place the tradition of sitting down for family meals every night.
EL: Even if you were in a teepee or in a park.
MC: Right. Even if we were sitting on a log in the woods in the rain, we would be sitting down and eating together. There were no distractions. There was never a television on, and there was no coercion in getting to the dinner table. There was no question about it. Not because it was an edict from an authority figure, but because we all just coalesced around dinner and loved it.
EL: You needed it.
MC: Yeah.
EL: It was a permanent form of glue for the family, right?
MC: Yeah. It really was important to us. We would go spend Christmas with my mother's mother, my grandmother, and she was a cook as well, and food was a centerpiece of that family interaction. And for me now that I have kids, I notice that when I'm feeling like a guilty or absent father, the way that I most quickly show my affection and love for my kids is I just make them food. It's like the way that I know to convey to a child everything's safe, everything's okay, and I love you.
EL: Yeah. But in 21st century America, and maybe all around the world, it's hard to do that, right? There are lots of pressures that are forcing people not to eat together.
MC: Right.
EL: Both parents are working, kids are all over the place. But you obviously, I think as a result of your upbringing, it was important when you had a family and a wife that you made that same time for dinner.
MC: Yeah. It feels very important to me. I think sometimes I'm actually kind of maybe forcing my agenda of cooking on my kids. Like, "Come on guys, let's make something in the kitchen." A lot of times they want to go outside and I want to work in the kitchen, and I have to check myself and say, "Okay, we'll go play a little bit of soccer first before we get to canning the pears."
EL: Right. Because the act of eating a meal and preparing it is imbued with so much more meaning for you than it is for them.
MC: Yeah, I think that's true. Yeah.
EL: So you end up being an actor, and I'm just assuming that like all actors, you struggled for many years before you found yourself on the set of Supernatural. So, tell us in a few sentences the arc of your acting career.
MC: Well as I mentioned earlier, my intention after college was to go into politics. I interned at the White House and I got a job at NPR in Washington, DC, and I was really disappointed with what I saw at the White House, and I thought, "Oh God, I have to come up with a whole new plan here." I thought it was going to be the best and the brightest minds under one roof. This was the Clinton administration. And instead what I found was the halls were filled with people who were sycophants, whose parents had donated money to the campaign. They were all yaysayers. There was no real discourse about political ideas, which of course is actually what you need in an administration. You need people who are going to be in lock step and are going to support your decisions, but I was too young and naive to know that.
So when I saw it, I thought, "This is not for me." I thought, "I will try to find another way that I can have an impact." I think there's a lot of hubris in this, but I thought, "I know what I'll do. I'll become an actor. I'll get famous and then I'll parlay my celebrity into some sort of political influence."
EL: Oh, because that happens all the time.
MC: Right. I mean really, really completely naive, and totally full of myself. Then I moved to LA and I thought it was going to take a couple of years to attain a certain level-
EL: To become rich and famous.
MC: To be rich and famous. And it took a long time to become-
EL: It took a decade, probably.
MC: To become moderately comfortable and a C-list celebrity. But somewhere along the line I stopped thinking about that end goal of I'm on this path so that I can have influence, blah blah blah, and I just started becoming an actor, and I was just acting for the sake of acting and not for this aspirational, high-minded goal.
Then a couple of years ago we got a new president, and that lit a fire under me. It was actually during the campaign when I started to think, "Oh, Trump might get elected. Oh, this is serious," and then my C-list celebrity started to come into play and I thought, "All right, well I can use the platform that I have."
EL: By the way, I think it's at least B-minus, okay?
MC: Well you, as everyone knows, grade on a curve, so thank you for your charity. In a strange way it feels to me a little bit like it's come full circle, and now that the show's ending and after 15 seasons I'm asking the question, "Okay, how can I be of use in the world?" I don't know what's next for me. I don't know if I spend a lot of time on television sets after this or not. I'm trying to do some soul searching and figure out what I really want to be when I grow up. But that's, in a nutshell, my path.
EL: It's an amazing path, and you accomplished much more as an actor than almost any actor I know. To be a working actor and to have made some money doing it is actually an incredible accomplishment, and maybe it's to the resilience you discovered you had in your childhood.
MC: Yeah, I think possibly. I think obviously there's a lot of dumb luck that comes into play. It's not my fault that the show that I'm on has been on for 15 seasons or has the devoted fan base that it has.
EL: There are conventions for Supernatural. I notice this-
MC: We have conventions. There are tattoos with face on them. I mean, it's hard not to be full of yourself in this context. But yeah, we have a really, really devoted fan base, and it's quite remarkable to be a part of.
What was it? I think it was Freakonomics at one point. Maybe it was in the book Freakonomics, but they said that pursuing a career in acting is like pursuing a career as a drug dealer. It's very, very difficult to be one of the kingpins, to be successful in the field.
EL: Right.
MC: The odds are so bad that it takes a certain personality that's defective that wants to even pursue that in the first place, because 99 out of 100 people are going to fail at that and then you're just going to be a low level street corner drug dealer, or barely getting food on your table as a background actor.
EL: Yeah. Well Misha, we have to leave it right here for this episode of Special Sauce, but you're going to stick around and tell us all about your two terrific kids, West and Maison.
MC: We just say Mason.
EL: West and Mason.
MC: Yes, we anglicize the French spelling.
EL: And your wife Vicki, and your family collaboration on The Adventurous Eaters Club. Thank you for spending so much time with us on Special Sauce.
MC: Thank you so much for having me, and I can't wait to talk about the book.

“If you've been to a grocery store's dairy aisle lately, you've probably picked up on the fact that Greek yogurt is becoming pretty darn popular. At Greatist, we think this stardom is well earned: We consider the stuff a superfood thanks to its high protein and probiotic content. But frankly, we’re getting a little sick of the classic Greek yogurt and granola combo that’s been a staple of our breakfasts since who-knows-when. So we’ve rounded up 51 healthy recipes from around the web that use Greek yogurt in surprising, delicious ways — and not just for breakfast (okay, we’ve got some breakfast recipes too — but we guarantee that they’re equally surprising).
Breakfast
51 Healthy Greek Yogurt Recipes for Any Meal Photo: Recipe Girl

2. Eggs Florentine with Sun-Dried Tomato Pesto
Olive oil provides some healthy fats, spinach adds iron and calcium, and sun-dried tomato pesto and pepper add a zap of flavor to these creamy, protein rich eggs Florentine.
3. Yogurt Breakfast Bowl

11. Healthy Mac and Cheese
This lighter take on a childhood classic uses whole wheat macaroni, a whole bunch of onions and garlic, and spicy cayenne pepper, which contains a compound that may help boost metabolism. 14. Yogurt-Marinated Chicken Kebabs with Aleppo Pepper
“Yogurt-marinated chicken kebabs” might not sound tasty, but we’re pretty sure this recipe will change your mind. Chicken and Greek yogurt add a whole heap of protein, while olive oil contributes healthy fats, garlic ratchets up the nutrient profile, and spicy seasonings pack a wallop of flavor.
15. Cheesy Chicken Quesadillas
For a healthier take on creamy, delicious quesadillas, swap in whole-wheat tortillas, a whole bunch of veggies, and some good-for-you cumin. Top with salsa and Greek yogurt (instead of sour cream), and enjoy.

Just in time for potlucks: This healthier take on egg salad replaces mayonnaise with protein-rich Greek yogurt and adds in celery and onions for at least a partial serving of veggies.
24. Creamy Mashed Cauliflower
Don’t be fooled: These are no ordinary mashed potatoes. Instead, it’s cauliflower! But when you smother it in Greek yogurt, a little bit of butter and cheese, and some garlic, shallots, and scallions, we bet you won’t miss the original variety.
25. Greek Yogurt Chicken Salad
This healthier take on chicken salad replaces mayo with Greek yogurt and adds in a whole bunch of produce (including celery, grapes, and apples) for a vitamin kick. A sprinkle of walnuts adds some healthy fats. Eat the salad on its own as a side or roll it up in a whole-wheat tortilla for a filling lunch.

28. Creamy, Lighter Macaroni Salad
Surprise! This healthier take on macaroni salad subs out almost all of the mayo in favor of Greek yogurt. Celery, radishes, and lemon juice add light crunch and flavor to the dish, while hard-cooked eggs add even more protein. For an even healthier option, sub in whole-wheat macaroni.

Speaking of remaking classic potluck dishes: This light, citrusy take on potato salad uses Greek yogurt, olive oil, and fresh mint to add so much flavor and creaminess that you won’t miss the mayo.
30. Cucumber, Fennel & Roasted Potato Salad with Parsleyed Yogurt
Check out this recipe for an even fancier take on classic potato salad. Modeled after Mediterranean-style food, this salad draws on loads of produce including green beans, celery, cucumber, red onions, and fennel. Light (but sour) lemon juice is balanced out by Greek yogurt’s smooth texture.
31. Stuffed Grape Leaves
These beauties are remarkably simple (provided you know where to get some ground goat meat). Combine the meat with onions, garlic, sweet corn, and roast pepper sauce, then wrap ‘em up in giant grape leaves for a delicious, hearty side. (Of course, if goat isn’t available, you can use beef, chicken, lamb, or pork instead!).
32. Greek Yogurt Dinner Rolls
These airy, low-sugar rolls are made with whole-wheat flour and just a touch of honey or agave. Greek yogurt adds a unique buttery texture.
33. Greek Yogurt Biscuits
These scrumptious biscuits use just a tiny bit of sugar and no butter at all thanks to Greek yogurt. For an even healthier take, swap out regular all-purpose flour in favor of a whole-wheat variety.

35. Chocolate Chocolate Chip Yogurt Dip

36. Creamy Avocado Yogurt Dip
Guacamole, meet Greek yogurt. This creamy, delectable dish is full of protein, healthy fats (thanks to our favorite superfood, avocado), garlic, and loads of flavorful seasonings, including cilantro, lime juice, and cumin.
37. Beet Tzatziki
