Going through a Hillsong thing rn which is where I listen to a lot of Hillsong United and Hillsong Young & Free and feel really bad about it. I think that the one single Fueled By Ramen memoir I would commit absolute murder to read is Michael Guy Chislet's. How did he go from an Australian evangelical megachurch worship band to The Academy Is on Warped Tour...and then BACK to the evangelical megachurch worship band like you didn't just spend three years in a cramped tour bus having weirdly homoerotic relationships with your bandmates?? And he still managed to remain in contact with at least one of them, given that he was hanging out with Sisky when Hillsong was touring the US a little while back, so the experience apparently wasn't like his 40 days in the wilderness?????? I'm sure all this information is out there if I looked for it, but the more I perform the ultimate act of Progressive Christian Hypocrisy (listening to Hillsong), I just get more and more crazed by the idea of Chis just. going from a huge evangelical worship band in Australia whose influence and impact far outstrips most FBR bands of that era (back then AND now) to fucken. living in William Beckett's manic-depressive dreamscape?? How did he GET there??

She stepped, one foot over another as the alien held his breasts high. So, trans people exist, and this motherfucker was yet another pirate. And I'm getting the sensation that the only reason I'm bumping into so many pirates like this, is because the coalition doesn't understand how crime works.
On earth, there was this whole thing where the underground had systems of government sort of. Money, debts. Whatever, ways to make crime in high society and stuff less stupid pains for legal governments, and the only reason I know this fictional system is because my boss has a seat on it.
The Terran circled around, her grip, her stance, her form. All of it was weak, light. A novice with so much bravado, it appeared that this human was all bluff. A fool.
The bell rang, the human holding her ground as she wasted the pirate's time.
Bleck, the planet had several ports, been explored about a third specifically around the ports and as a result. There'd been pirates, when we crashed and the others and I managed to build a settlement around our scattered shuttles, they'd surprised us. Thankfully, the area they found us was a little further away, the cluster of three shuttles leaving the twenty or so crew to be led back and by now Daniel had organised or at least was planning something.
Tribal, that's what the pirates were. Nicking resources, just taking leeching off the network across the room planet in the system, and the Dyson sphere experiment in the area was funneling a lot of resources. The courts had "asked" me to fix it. And the "malfunctioning turrets" meant the humans would take what would be, maybe a weekend of static testing (reading code) and setting up a temporary defence while they troubleshooted the problem, into a month long operation. Mostly by using the order to stall by experimenting with various new types of defences, occasionally "accidentally" causing minor issues meaning our ship had been parked here for six months. My third crash was reaching my halfway point and I frankly. Couldn't care less.
He spotted weakness, that blank stare was her not paying attention. Drawing weapon, he swung.
CLANG.
A blade held his, hooked the Terran sweeping the weapon into the air, forcing him back as she thrust the weapon off the hook towards him. Now standing straight, weapon held parallel as he caught the weapon. Like a statue.
This dance continued for a while, everything the man struck, she'd dodge, duck or disarm him. And he'd get his weapon back, but these light attacks weren't doing anything.
New strategy, the twirled the weapon, swishing the air as he aimed to strike her middle. A block, as he threw a punch, and he was suddenly on his back. Both blades held to his neck.
"one."
She'd toss the blade back at him, relaxing into a new stance. Blade held over her, body stretched like she were between a leap, roll or sprint. The alien for up, eyes following him as he swung for the legs, a kick sweeping across his face as she slammed her elbow into his chest. Throwing her ass out as a foot wrapped around his, the weapon held between her shoulder as she slammed her head into his face. Sending him flying to the floor, pushing off his falling body and landed a little further away, blade now held at her hip.
She's toying with me.
That much was obvious, but her form was perfect. Each strike had anticipated any moves he would do, before he could counter she'd struck blind spots, which forced strikes until he had to get back up.
The alien was finished playing, the tail unfurling as the agile alien held his weapon, practically telling me he was getting serious as we held positions.
Leaping first, jumping between spots and increasing velocity as he twirled, throwing a pair of kicks as he swept down. Blood hit the floor, a gnash on my arm.
The Terran jumped back, legs sweeping away as she proceeded to bandage and disinfect her arm while dashing away from her opponent. Constantly keeping a ruler's length away from him, as she drew her sword.
"Impressive."
"Eh?"
"You treated a wound, while keeping away from me."
"... Ok?"
The two now stood apart from one another, blood no longer dripped to the floor, the man standing still as she caught her breath.
"Tired?"
"nah, just forgot to breath."
"..."
His head turned, as he repeated.
"you forgot. To breath..."
"What?"
"How..."
She shrugged, drawing a second blade.
Hesitation. The Terran could duel wield, a longer lighter weapon and a heavier shorter one, each about as long as her elbow to hand. While she wore what looked like a makeshift leather breastplate, the leather melded together with heat, that was it. Aside from some clothes. Versus his fully leather body armoured, minus the iron vambraces, the two had similar weapons. Ignoring the part where his sword was vibrating at a high frequency, their weapons were similar.
It clicked, her swords were straight. And they hadn't been cut despite being what appeared to be titanium. Just, titanium blades, looking more like modified hoes if nothing else. The Terran then spoke up.
"alright. I can't deal with this silence. Who in Hell are you?"
"... I am Lowe Bymd. Pirate lord."
"Did ya make that name up yourself?"
"Yes."
"Bit childish innit?"
"Excuse me?"
"Pirate lord? What, is there a pirate King over ya?"
"Pardon, but it is pirate Queen"
"Bet she's got a sloppy cunt."
"Excuse me?"
"A whore, wanker. I'm calling your kind a good for nothing whore."
"You mean my mother?"
"Ohhh, so you're a bastard."
"HOW DARE-"
"and you sound like a posh cunt."
"..."
The man drew back, taking a few steps back.
"You're going to regret that."
"regret what nimble legs?"
The deer like alien's limbs flexed, muscles rippling-
"Ooh, and you've got thunder thighs huh?"
Nostrils flared, the man whinnying equally like a deer as he charged forward.
The human was calm, the deer cracking the earth behind him as he gathered speed, the weapon cutting ground like softened butter as she held her sword. Closing her eyes, as the alien drew his weapon back.
"NO ONE INSULTS TO T'VA"
"Loud cunt." She sheathed her blade from beside him, the neck slicing open like a blood balloon. Head snapping as she grabbed the body, sucking the blood out the body.

PIKMIN 4 STORY SPOILERS from stuff available in the demo :]
i've been reading up on some people's thoughts on 4's story and i'm kinda confused. Can people really not tell apart a retcon from an alt timeline? 4's story is very much meant to be taken with the rest of the series in mind, and i think that's only going to be more and more true as the game progresses. We can already get in the demo a Voyage log from Olimar where he dreams about 2's plot, which also directly references a log in 3 where Olimar dreams about 1's bad ending (obviously they didn't knew about 4's plot when writing that log, but there's definitely a parallel). I'm sure storywise AND gameplaywise, 4 will embrace creating parallels to the 'main' games. We've already seen in the demo how SO MANY little details pay homage to the first 3 games.
As for if it is a good decision, well that's way more personal... I definitely get being disappointed the story doesn't go further. But I see it as a great narrative choice for 2 reasons :
I always saw 3 as the finale of the main Pikmin story. For one it forms a trilogy which is just satisfying :] Second everything about it spells conclusion to me: the emphasis on story to wrap things up, playing new characters for the "new generation" trope, the stakes of the story, the role reversal of Olimar becoming the 'treasure' to rescue and the final boss itself. Not saying i would dislike seeing the story continued, but i simply think the main story arc is done. Koppai is saved and Olimar returns home safely against all odds. The shooting star at the end of 3's credits is symbolic - you get a glimpse of the story from the Pikmin's point of view : they're guardian angels always helping those in need. Even if the story repeats itself with more people crashing on the planet, this shows it'll always pan out the same - there's nothing left to explore or tell, aside from mysteries like the wraith's intentions, the nature of the Pikmin or of PNF404 itself... but the very essence of the Pikmin setting as an alien world mean we cannot get answers for everything.
i don't want the follow up to 3 to be about olimar crashlanding again lmfao. I've seen people say alt timelines like in Zelda are lazy... making Olimar crash on PNF404 after it's been shown he knows how to land there would either retcon the whole 2 arc, or tread on the old Pikmin 3 ground of "spooky mysterious force forces a crash", which imo feels way more lazy. It's also why i'd kinda really hate if it turns out it's not an alt timeline and takes place after 3... It would imply Olimar got amnesia, which is just... such a bad storytelling tool so far into a story. It's about as bad as the "conflict could get resolved if characters simply talked" story convenience. Would also not make sense since as of right now, Olimar has no reason to go back to PNF404 with the Dolphin (implied all debt would get paid back).
All these problems get solved with the alt timeline idea 4 got. We get to explore brand new ideas without having to go through redundant plot points or render previous arcs useless. We get to enjoy a new story with characters we like (hell, before the story got shown i was ready and embracing the thought of having a new game with no returning characters).
I didn't really intend to write an essay defending an unreleased game :P but more than just being inspired a lot by Pikmin, it does annoy me when people think video games can't have narratives more complex than just "repeat same story again and again" just for the sake of gameplay. I don't need deep stories (Pikmin's story is remarkably simple) but i deeply value cool set pieces, unique atmospheres and refreshing storytelling ideas.

Perfectly, So Happily, ‘Til Forever
the post z3 fic
Chapter 3: Dance with Me (aka the wilspen short)
read on ao3 | fanfiction.net
As much as Willa can't stand the former student body president, she has to admit he throws a good party. Even though he stayed at Seabrook High way longer than he was meant and, by the end, pretty much everyone was sick of him, deep down she will miss him. Only a little. And he can never find out about that, either. To admit that, in the end, she actually kinda liked Bucky, would be a low stoop into hell.
Speaking of things she doesn't want to admit, and people she wants to avoid…
A-Spen.
The blue-haired, emotionally inquisitive alien that had Willa tied up in knots since they left the planet. A-Spen is back, in Seabrook, forever.
While she's been focusing on Addison's return, her mind can't stop from wandering to A-Spen. Sensitive, loud and proud A-Spen.
Willa's managed to avoid them throughout the beginning of the party, staying close to her pack and Zed. But, Zed and Addison quickly wander off to la-la land (as expected). A-Spen materializes out of nowhere (or maybe Willa just wasn't paying attention), and her pack seems to disappear. Traitors.
"Willa," A-Spen says.
Willa smiles, albeit nervously. "Yes?"
"I have great feelings for you."
They are…so blunt. But why does she kind of dig it?
Still, Willa blinks in surprise, despite already knowing this. A-Spen never hid how they felt. Someone's going to need to teach them social cues, someday. But it does cut out the middleman.
"I know you like to believe you do not need anyone else," A-Spen continues. "And while I am new to having these feelings, I think it might be…exciting and fun to explore them."
Willa stares for a moment. For the short time that the aliens were in Seabrook, Willa hadn't been very nice or welcoming…at all really. "Even after everything I did to you guys?"
A-Spen takes a moment to consider, their eyes looking down at the floor in thought. They look back up and shrug, a small smile on their lips. "I understand your distrust, and your fear."
"Still, I'm sorry. From one former outsider to another."
A-Spen smiles wider. "Apology accepted."
Willa bites the inside of her cheek. She always expected that, if she ever caught feelings for someone, she'd hate every moment of it. The thought of relying on someone else, being irrational and stupid and blinded by love, sounds awful. But this…this isn't so bad.
"Do you wanna dance?" Willa asks.
A-Spen looks out to the dance floor, studying the crowd of people dancing and bouncing around and having an all out good time. They look back to Willa and say, "I have never danced like…that, before."
Willa smirks. She takes their hand, leading them out onto the dance floor. "Oh, it's not hard. If Wyatt can do it, you can do it."
"Oh okay!"

I only got around to reading your Slavers Moon ficlet this morning, and I mean wow! Amazing! It was so suspenseful! Poor Izzy! Poor Lena! I actually would love to see more of Lena coping with her deafness and blindness without the expectation that she could 'cure' or fix it, it would be a great vehicle for exploring how she can still be our Lena--smart, tactile, etc without her sight. Like, can she still tinker in the lab if she can't rely on her eyes? Would she need to create different textured tools and materials? What about more mundane things, like her favorite movies and books and music? Would she try audiobooks while she teaches herself brail? Just--I think it's an interesting concept and would love for someone as intentional and skilled as you to explore it more if you wanted. And gosh! Also the fact that it's been two years?! Like, how much has Lena missed on Earth? And all of her trauma?! Of not only being snatched from her life and taken to a completely new planet against her will but also having to be reminded over and over again that she had no autonomy over her own body?! Ughh! Has she even met Kelly yet? Would she have someone to talk to?? I hope she and Izzy find ways to heal together--and that Lena doesn't do what she always does and builds up a wall or tries to stuff everything in boxes...
Anyway, thank you for the piece, Max! ❤
(and I am curious whether Lillian has some grander plan...if she is getting rid of aliens maybe to get the trust of people like Roulette to try to find Lena?? Kind of like Kara trying to infiltrate the auction? Or if she is still just...being Lillian? 👀)
Oh ho ho, we'll get to Lillian, don't you worry. If only to have Lena get her face off against her vengeful mother.
There's def we a lot we could explore with Lena's blindness, which I'm curious about. I'll try to get some feedback/input from blind readers to inform what I include. Again, it's not something I see often, so it would be interesting to explore. But that said, I don't wanna do anyone any injustice or improper representation, y'know?
It might do better as a full fic. We'll see. Thanks for letting me know your thoughts! I'm glad it got some enthusiasm from some folks, because I really liked the scenes between Lena and Kara.

I've been wondering, do you have any ocs (other than fnaf ocs)? I've never seen you talk about them, do you have an orignal story that involves them? If so, do you have a favourite oc? I'd love to hear about them :0 (If you don't have any ocs, feel free to ignore this, I just assumed so because of the post you recently reblogged, haha TTwTT)
I do have a bunch of other ocs outside of fnaf! I'm just so deep in fnaf brainrot right now that I've probably only ever mentioned my other ocs like once or twice ever on this blog, but rest assured, they do exist
Currently I have three original stories in the making; each with their own set of wonderful characters. I have a somewhat dystopian story that has two main characters named Hunter and Trixx. Hunter is basically an assassin, and she only does it in order to protect her younger brother. Her reputation keeps them safe and all that. Trixx is really good at reading people. Or rather, he got good at reading people after his family was betrayed, leaving him to assume his entire family is dead. Despite the betrayals he's had in the past, Trixx is very reliable to those he considers trustworthy. The story itself centralizes around Hunter's younger brother getting kidnapped. She and Trixx team up to rescue him.
The second big story I have involves a somewhat realistic scenario. It exists more to help me practice normal interactions, while also helping me practice my restraint (because Lord knows how bad I am at not killing off characters). It focuses on four main characters: Max, Dakota, Coraline, and Sam. Max is the legal guardian of Dakota and Caroline (twin sisters), and he finds Sam out in the rain one day and just brings him home. It's hard to explain in a more general post like this, but I might be able to find my old notes somewhere and just post them on Tumblr at some point. The main storyline is mostly Sam trying to figure out where he fits into the world, without the pressures his parents kept trying to place on him. Sam ran away from home and was homeless until Max and his family took him in.
The third story hasn't had much proper work done to it yet. It's a science-fiction sort of thing, with a mix of fantasy thrown in there. The main character is an alien from another planet just trying to learn more about the planet he landed on. Problem is, one of the species that lives there does not trust the idea of aliens (human parallel, since we never tend to like unexpected new things). He ends up spending time in the forest with nymphs, and this whole situation starts a war. The main ocs from this one are Peregrine and Amaya. Peregrine being the alien explorer who now needs to find a way home, and Amaya being the main guide who helps him survive his experiences on the unfamiliar planet.
I am very much one to pick favorites when it comes to characters, especially when creating a new story. I'd say Trixx, Sam, and Amaya are my favorites from the aforementioned stories above, so I'll try to go more in-depth about them.
Trixx is not actually named Trixx. He determined rather quickly after his older sister Kristen was kidnapped (and is now presumed dead), that knowing something that intimate is dangerous. Trixx is actually named James. He decided on the name Trixx as an alias, so that the main gang controlling the city wouldn't realize he was the same kid whose older sister was a member of a rebellion of sorts. He worked hard on his ability to pick up on tiny gestures and expressions people would make in conversation, learning to read people like open books. Trixx uses this skill in his chosen field, selling information and secrets to anyone interested in the information. He develops a fondness for Hunter when she starts using him consistently as a source for information, and the fact that she never tries to cheat him doesn't hurt either. Trixx is sometimes known to outright lie about information if he believes he's being manipulated or scammed, so people do their best to stay in his good graces. Even then, he knows how to read their body language, and he'll end up scraping information out of the people he's selling information to.
Sam is the younger of two children. His mother is a well-off dentist, and his father is a high-paid lawyer. His older sister Emma is a doctor, and his family expects him to follow in their footsteps. Sam does not know what he wants to do with his life. He's used to all these expectations, so he tries different activities. Sam learns to cook, draw, play the guitar, sing, act, and all sorts of different skills. None of these are things that his parents believe he should continue doing in a career, however. So, a few days after he turns 18, Sam packs up some of his things and runs away. He ends up on the streets, avoiding everyone he possibly can. His parents have reported him missing, and Sam does not want to be trapped into a life he doesn't want, so he hides, eventually making his way out of the city and finding his way somewhere else. After a run-in with a thief, Sam meets Max, who offers him a place to stay after covering for him with the police. Sam tries to leave several times before realizing that he's better off with Max and his sisters. They don't have high expectations from him, and he already helps them so much with his wide range of skills and knowledge. He doesn't realize it right away, but he's meant for a career in family life, which is why nothing seemed to click before.
Amaya is a water nymph. Her whole existence comes with a multitude of expectations. Amaya's species reproduces asexually, meaning she's essentially a little copy of her mother. Her mother trained her to hone her various abilities, and now Amaya is expected to balance human relations along with all of her usual responsibilities in the village. She makes rain fall, calling thunderstorms on occasion, and sometimes she's called in on request to manipulate the weather for certain days of the year. Her priorities as a water nymph mean that she cannot travel very far. Little nymph villages are sprinkled all over the planet, and if she leaves to explore, it means all the expectations are fully placed on her mother. So, until Peregrine arrives, Amaya has not experienced the world at all. Of course, when the humans find out that they're harboring an alien, all their peace agreements go out the window, and suddenly Amaya is on her own, stuck with adventuring, despite knowing nothing about it.

If there was ever a new Brave show, what would you want it to be about/what would you want it to involve?
Oh, what I wouldn't give to see a new Brave emerge from the depths of Sunrise's animation studios. But the chances are slim, infinitesimal even, microscopic to the point that I've given up hope to see some kind of series revival one day. At least we're still getting figurines and HD Blu-Ray remasters of the animes, but that's pretty much it.
What we are left with is our imagination and perseverance and thankfully, some fans have those attributes in abundance. I'm not going to call them out by name - you all know who you are and you should know your efforts are greatly appreciated by this small fandom.
Some of them have made a great effort to come up with new ideas for their own original shows that have sprung from their imaginations and they are kind enough to share it with the world. As someone who loves reading about pretty much any thing and everything relevant to the media I'm obsessed with at that time, I also love reading about other people's take on the already existing and well-established fictional worlds.
I've already mentioned my own and the OCs that are part of it, but to be honest, this is not exactly the direction I would take the franchise if I had a say in it. There are many great ways one could revive the Yuusha series and my own silly idea of a story is not it. There are too many themes that don't fit with the overall tone of the series - it needs to be as light-hearted, emotional and thrilling as the original one... which it isn't.
I'll list the answer to your ask under the cut if it's alright with you.
First of all, one thing that I would love to see is a way for the producers to link the shows together. It can either be done with little easter eggs or references to the old shows,
There is a reason why almost all Braves follow a pattern in terms of plot progression and action and I think they should bring that back. The monster-of-the-week format has worked well with almost every series and while it's definitely not the perfect way of storytelling, it makes for fun times.
Let the villains be silly, give them control over some ridiculouly huge thing and watch them decimate the protagonists with it until they learn its attack patterns and defeat it with the power of friendship. It wouldn't hurt if they did it once or twice every ten episodes.
We need more villains who are evil for the sake of it. They don't need a thorough reason to destroy the universe. And give us our beloved morally grey rivals/antiheroes turned allies back, please.
Nowadays I feel that most characters aren't as colorful as they used to be, but not here, nuh-uh! They need to have at least two primary colors in their frame (RYB, RGB or CYMK, doesn't matter which one) as long as they wear it with pride. Example: my man Draias is a walking fashion disaster, yet he doesn't care about his appearance and I love him for it.
I want the Braves to originate from
✨ s p a c e ✨
not Earth, thank you. While I don't have anything against human-made robots or those who were created by our planet's nature, the thought of them being aliens is so much cooler.
The OST would be a banger for sure.
Another thing I want to see is a more in-depth exploration of the themes and issues they deal with. BPJD had its fair share of addressing themes that are usually targeted at older viewers rather than the actual target audience of pre- and elementary schoolers. I don't want that to get lost in a new show. Children are just as capable of understanding and dealing with heavy themes if they are offered an explanation for everything they might not fully comprehend.
While I don't like humans in robot media in general, BPJD was probably the only show where I think they handled them well. THe human side characters weren't as prominent as they had been in the previous and following Braves. The robots were finally in the spotlight and got the development they desperately needed. Yuuta and Deckerd had a unique bond, they were like siblings and that was so wonderfully presented that I couldn't help but like their pure, albeit codependent relationship.
More platonic relationships. More focus on friendships. More familial love and found family. More bromances, more womances. The same amount of explosions and action.
And please let everyone be normal about women, GGG Final was just. No. (I love you, Anryuu, but the rest of the cast were done dirty)
As for the plot, anything would work. Aliens invade the Earth, philanthrophic Braves come to defend it. Maybe they've been fighting the other guys for a long while, maybe they haven't. What matters is that it should be something that makes sense for a Yuusha show.
And give them badass designs, please.

Bookish asks: 3, 4, 11!
(Asks list)
3: What is your current recommendation for anyone looking for something to read?
Fiction: I recently picked up Becky Chambers' The long way to a small, angry planet, which was a very fun space travel romp with interesting worldbuilding (universe-building, really). I meant for it to last me a week of bedtime reading, but I got so sucked in I devoured it in less than two days.
Nonfiction: we got All thirteen: the incredible cave rescue of the Thai boys' soccer team by Christina Soontornvat at my library and I started flipping through as I was processing it, then checked it out immediately. It was very well-done, and I found my heart genuinely racing despite knowing the outcome already, which is impressive. Like many people I followed the story live as it was happening, but this book lays it all out with the benefit of hindsight and interviews, making a more coherent narrative so I can understand what was actually happening as well as a lot of the accompanying context--so many moving pieces and people! Although the book is written for a juvenile audience, it doesn't talk down to the reader and I've recommended it to multiple adults.
Other: Harmony Becker's graphic novel Himawari House was a loving and poignant look at identity in the context of both multicultural and intercultural experiences. On one hand, it's just a darn good story, following a Japanese-American young adult as she spends a year in Japan to reconnect with half her heritage, and her housemates who each have their own young adult problems and struggles. But it's also an amazing portrayal of what it's like to be in, or of, two or more cultures.
4: Go to genre on a rainy night?
Oh, you know I love me some speculative fiction (this feels like sort-of cheating since it means I can combine sci-fi and fantasy), but like: Murderbot. Tamora Pierce's work. The Enchanted Forest Chronicles. A tiny, mostly-unknown book called The dragonslayer's apprentice by David Calder, who apparently never wrote any fantasy ever again. It sticks with me.
11: What’s your least favorite book that you’ve ever read?
I cannot get over Mary Doria Russell's The sparrow, which is a friend's favorite book and I desperately wanted to like, but couldn't get over the "let's ignore any kind of biological precautions when interacting on an alien world" thing also ALSO the fact that no one ever tried to contact this alien civilization before making first, in-person contact. Like, I realize (because it was spelled out in my version's afterword) that the book is about colonization and was inspired by the 500th anniversary of Columbus arriving in the New World and all that entailed, and just uses space to explore that, but I could not turn off the part of my brain that's like I don't even show up at my BEST FRIEND'S HOUSE without contacting her, and these idiots land on an entire fucking planet that they know is populated?
Also Blue ticket by Sophia Mackintosh, an adult dystopian that explores bodily autonomy and determinism and stuff but which had too many holes in its world because it's so enamored with its rhetorical questions about free will and bodily autonomy and choice and motherhood that it fails to notice its metaphorical head is so far up its ass that it’s navel-gazing from the other side.

The Three Hat's AU Subcon forest: characters part 1, the Snatchers.
1HT Snatcher.
his name before he died was Luka (yes its overused but I couldn't think of anything else) so I'll be refering him in that name for clarity's sake as there is three snatcher's.
Luka is retail Snatcher, although he has softened up over the years he is still a force to be rekoned with as the untold ruler of Subcon forest until this mess happened.
Doesn't like the other two Snatcher's and tolerates Moonjumper. he prefers sitting in his tree home and reading his book then taking part in this wondeful giant capture the flag game going on but if any of them fuck with the Dweller's he is gonna bring in the pain train.
Still recognises Caitlyn after three years and is (sorta) true to his word about the bff contract, genuinly cares for her as he hands her a shotgun before she explores the new parts of subcon forest and tells her to be careful (he says hes doing this because it will allow her to survive easier and that he doesn't care about her but we all know he's lying.
Idc what canon bullshit gets in the way I love Datcher so fuck you.
Luka can shapeshift into a snatcherfied version of his past self, really handy when writing contracts.
Deep down he still wishes that things between him and 1HT Vanessa could have been different...
Vanessa and Luka were betroved to each other at the ages of 3 and 5 years old respectively (actually built in some historical context), they never really had any choice in the matter but still loved each other (until the flowers thing happened).
Oh btw 1HT Florist is fucking dead, both she and Luka died of hypothermia.
2HT snatcher.
I'm actually gonna call him Snatcher because he fits the name slightly better.
Acts like the prototype Snatcher, a nuisance character who snatcher thing's you've forgotten about and is a dick but deep down inside him, he has a heart its just really hard to see.
A shadow created by an unknown alien who abandoned him on the planet so he tends to steal shit.
Met the 2HT Prince and actually kinda liked him and its one of the major reasons why he hates Moonjumper because Moonjumper robbed him of his friends body, when MJ tries to rob 2HT Prince's soul he hands it off to Luka for safe keeping and even makes him sign a contract over it.
The 3rd floor of Vanessa's Manor happens briefly but unfortunetally he doesn't hold up well to sudden blinding lights, flashbangs are his cryptonite.
Following Moonjumper's defeat Snatcher attempts to return 2HT Prince's soul to his body but MJ destroys the body, luckily Luka had a spare Dweller body lying around which was patched up, decorated and alived.
2HT Snatcher enjoys annoying 3HT snatcher.
Speak of the devil, 3HT Snatcher or Devil because why not.
Very little information exists about Devil but he is also featured in a Swap AU which I've had in my brain for some time now, 3HT is this au but everything goes horribly wrong.
Devil is an evil bastard due to him taking the role of Vanessa, he is also the cause behind 1HT Vanessa's death and the destruction of the 1HT Manor.
Refers to Natalie and Caitlyn as minions since he believes that they are working for 3HT Hat Kid.
stays in the manor but leaves to terroise the Dwellers, tears Proto kid to pieces and battled Luka which ended in a rather brutal draw.
Defeated by Caitlyn when she tricked him into entering a red time rift, where he ended up or what happened to him is unknown...
Does have a very good evil laugh though :).

Rosetta by Dave Stern
After a little bit (read three month) break, we have returned with our friend Dave Stern for a Hoshi centric book. The idea of a book about Hoshi really excited me. I think she is an extremely under utilized character in the show, and needed a little depth.
The Summary
This book takes place around an alien trade coalition called The Confederacy. They pop into the Thelasian Confederacy before going back to Earth for a peace conference (that may be the beginning of the United Federation of Planets???). While they pop on on the Confederacy they run into hostile ships which they learn are called the Antianna. Communication attempts fail, and they turn to Hoshi to try and decode a repeating message that they received from the new comers. Hoshi recently back from her stint with the Xindi is still shaken emotionally and mentally. She looses all confidence in her abilities, and this isn't helped by her inability to translate the new message.
On the Confederacy's main planet they meet this obviously shady leader. Hoshi connects with their mediators who are tasked with decoding the same message, and they meet an Andorian who survived a meeting with the mystery species. A lot of politcal nonsense happens, but basically Archer (and shady leader) are blown up and presumed dead. Hoshi goes and spends some quality time with the mediators and the Andorian, Theera. Tucker is in charge of the Enterprise, but doesn't quite want to leave and get to the conference like Star Fleet wants him too.
Eventually we learn that Archer and shady leader are alive (no surprise). Hoshi after a lot of effort (and Theera giving some clues while being tortured) does crack the code of the Antianna. She goes over to their ship with a mediator to try and negotiate peace. The deal is the aliens are AI remnants of an ancient civilization who thought they were still fighting a war. Theera is an android created by them based off of real Theera who died in an attack. The aliens apologize for their destruction and leave. We end with the Enterprise crew back together and off to the conference.
My Thoughts
I read this book with kind of a long pause in the middle so it is hard to really get my thoughts together on this one. I feel like I appreciated Hoshi's trauma from her abduction getting to be explored a little more than it did in the show. It makes sense that this would have a lasting impact on her and her confidence in her abilities. I am also just a sucker for translation stories and things that tend to be academic puzzles at heart. I really appreciated how this author read up a little on linguistics for the novel. I am sure an expert would have seen flaws, but as a casual enjoyer of linguistics I thought it was fun.
I think that Tucker got to shine as a comedic relief in a way that I think is hard to pull off in a book. While he was in many ways the comedic relief I think that it was cool to see him as captain. He is always one of my favorite characters and I think he was super well written in this book.
I think the most impactful moment of this book to me that was really skimmed by was when Theera was reabsorbed???? We had a full "but I want to stay" moment before she was absorbed into basically the Borg. Well not the Borg but they were very Borg like. She reached a state of consciousness that meant she wanted to live her life away from the collective. We didn't really get a moment to mourn for her, or any follow up about her husband she left behind.
I give this book a 6.5/10. It wasn't enough to always keep me really pulled in. Next we pop back to Martin and Magels with The Good That Men Do. Tucker is on the cover so I'm excited!

MOTO AND THE TOONS PART 1
Tumblr media
That's Moto by the way. He's a little green alien dude who has his stubby little worm body fuzed to a hovering flying saucer like device. Day in and day out, Moto is forced to survey the desert moon Moriakkus, one of the many floating rocks of the planet Maxar XII. Not much to see on Moriakkus other than sand mounds, rocks of the desert variety, sand geckos, sunbathing beetles and a strange colorful cactus that only grows there called spriglidoo.
Tumblr media
Moto covered countless dunes and canyons by dinner time, for inside his hovering saucer was a plethora of extendable arms, scanner dishes, zappers, satellites and life form detectors, but Moto's personal favorite was his set of long lengthy arms with the hands on the ends of them. These allow him to put food in his mouth, pick the wax out of his ears, clap to his favorite song and slap himself in the face in the mornings when his coffee isn't quite kicking in.
Tumblr media
The thing about Moto is he had no memory of how he ended up the way he ended up or how he was stuck doing the same mundane job day after day after day. Sure he had a few flashes of a giant alien towering over him and a painful procedure involving laser knives, but other than that, he was clueless. He wasn't even sure if Moto was his actual name. Did I mention that Moto is telepathic? Yeh, only he doesn't read people's minds but rather their hearts, detecting if they are pure and good or malevolent and cruel. Of course the life forms of Moriakkus had the same hearts and didn't really change much so Moto was stuck reading his own heart which also was the same everyday. His heart was good and in the right place, but was tired and needed something new, an adventure away from the same daily routine, a refreshing experience to clear his mind and soul, a grand getaway from the rough, irritating sand. If it wasn't already obvious, he needed a vacation.
One day, Moto was doing his daily, boring survey of Moriakkus, examining the same spriglidoo as the day before when out of the hot, stuffy air appeared a strange bird butterfly hybrid with wings that writhed with energy that looked like the Northern Lights of Earth.
Tumblr media
I am Neowinger! I am on my way to Janquland on Maxar XII. Would you like to accompany me?
Tumblr media
Moto read this Neowinger's heart. He was a tough one to read. He did detect goodness and well meaning but there was something more, a dark area which he could not decipher. Nevertheless, Moto was desperate for any chance to get away from Moriakkus, even if he had to travel with a weirdo. Even if he had to travel to another desert planet that was slightly different than Moriakkus, it would be a nice changeup. He had never been to Maxar XII, for his saucer could only travel short distances, but it was time for that desired vacation and he responded quickly therefore.
Go to Janquland, I will, with you, even if for just a while, get away from boring life.
And with his magical wings, Neowinger flapped and flapped and the two of them were engulfed in sparkly magenta clouds. When the clouds dissipated, the two of them were standing before a grand amusement park, the lights of the rides and attractions like the lights of heaven. In the skies, fireworks ignited every few seconds, filling their ears with loud booms and bangs. Both smiled great smiles, especially Moto who very well might have broken his cheekbones.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Beautiful, it is, it would be, just like I knew it!
Neowinger turned his head to his new friend.
Let's explore! Janquland is said to be the most glorious place in the entire universe! Lots to see and do!
Tumblr media
Both split up. For the next several hours, Moto and Neowinger bounced from ride to ride to ride. Moto, in all his days of existing had never experienced such grandeur. He must have rode the intergalactic carousel at least 27 times and his most favorite ride out of the entire park was the great Swish Swasher, a giant blue attraction which twirled the rider around at the speed of light. When Moto got off, he had to readjust his eyes, ears and mouth!
Tumblr media
Both Moto and Neowinger ate at just about every concession stand, trying different types of food from every corner of the universe and even played some of the games. One of the games was called "Take a Shot" and required the player to shoot a scared faced golem at one of the targets mounted on the wall. Moto struggled to reach the target, even with his long arms, but the squid headed creature that ran the booth gave him a cycloptic rat plush anyway. Moto was ecstatic!
Tumblr media
Forever, cherish this, will I!
Not too long after, Moto and Neowinger visited a strange area of the park, a place where all the sideshow performers were. There were beasts and strange lurkers and deformed weirdos from the far reaches of space, but none quite caught Moto's attention more than the one eyed sword wielder who was busy slicing up pamango fruit and sending their seeds flying to the four winds. This guy waved his swords so fast, it looked as though he was multi-armed and wielding several blades all at once. It was said that this fellow is part of a rare species of elves. When several of his kind went on to become Christmas elves, he studied the ways of one eyed ninjutsu under the great Sweebish King on the world of Harash. The sword wielder's name, Samur-Eye.
Tumblr media
Moto tried his hardest to read Samur-Eye's heart, but it was hard considering the suit of armor he wore and the swords that moved like wildfire. When the performer finally stopped, Moto tried to speak with the warrior, but it turned out Samur-Eye was a mute and only responded in grunts and coughs. Still, Moto was determined to get Samur-Eye to acknowledge him.
Autograph, may I have, please, if mind you don't!
Summoning a pen, Samur-Eye wrote a little note upon a tiny sheet of paper and handed it to Moto. Upon reading it, Moto was shellshocked, flabbergasted, his mouth gaping down like his jaw was broken. He just couldn't believe what Samur-Eye had written.
Get off this planet now! They are going to kill you and everyone else!
Moto found himself worked up. Why would he write something so vulgar? After calming down a bit, Moto decided to put his heart reading skills to the test. He began circling the park, reading the hearts of all the inhabitants as they went about their fun times. Although everyone looked happy and delighted from the outside as they rode the rides, on the inside, they were showing signs of turmoil. Everybody's hearts were worn out, withering away, knowing full well it was time for them to rest, but their bodies just kept going and going, riding the rides over and over in an endless cycle. Smiles were still present on all their faces despite their inner pain. It was almost like they were under some sort of spell. Moto quickly went to find Neowinger who was busy eating his fifth fried worm souffle.
Get off Maxar XII, at once, we must! Believe under a spell, we are being put under!
Neowinger turned his head and faced Moto. He put his wings on Moto's shoulders as if he was going to hug him.
We ain't going anywhere my little friend. Maxar XII is the happiest place in the universe and we're gonna stay here until we rot!
Moto swallowed hard. He broke free of Neowinger's grasp but the bird butterfly hybrid caught up to him. Moto quickly drew a zapper from his saucer and shot Neowinger straight in the chest, but the flying creature quickly healed as if it were only a paper cut. Then the squid headed alien from earlier appeared and grabbed Moto by the neck. Neowinger whispered something into squid head's ear as he walked away with Moto in his grasp. The tiny green alien tried to wrestle free but the squid head's grip was too tight and he passed out from the lack of air. Neowinger stood by, watching as his "friend" was led away to an unknown area. He knew full well what Janquland truly was and whatever it was was far from the pleasant place it was so triumphantly made to be. Although he was a bird butterfly hybrid, he was secretly a snake.
Around the same time, a certain sleigh was making it's way through the atmosphere. Occupying the sleigh was a large pink man, his baby doll looking daughter, a vampire pig and a teddy bear wizard. They were looking for a lost friend and like Moto before them were dazzled by the fireworks and brightly lit rides that gleamed in the distance.
To be continued.....

Tags/Warnings: Space traveler!Jungkook, Alien!Reader, bit of angst, near death experience, slight language barrier, absolute science fiction yall, mc is the cutest because it's the reader character aka you haha get it, no? OK, imma let you read it now
Previous
Tumblr media
You're eager to tag along on his daily exploring, knowing the area way better than he does, able to lead him to places he's sure he would've never found alone. You're easily jumping over rocks and fallen trees again; body healed after he'd made sure you took your rest.
It's the fifth day of being here- and his supplies are growing low, meaning he has to make his way back soon.
He doesn't know yet how to break it to you- you seem awfully attached to him, even after healing fully still sleeping in the same bed with him, visibly comfortable with him.
"Kook, kook!" You say with excitement, ripping him out of his thoughts as you run up to him with something in your palms. You open them a little bit, making his eyes widen as he pulls out his device made to record every new species and piece of other planets he finds. The glowing little bird seems not at all very alarmed- more than anything, it seems just confused about things.
"I can't believe you caught one so easily." He mumbles amazed, making sure the device has properly saved all data before you let the tiny creature fly away again. They're pretty, but very hard to pin down- always having been out of reach for him to note down.
You just smile, taking what he says as a full on compliment, before you yawn. It's been a good while outside today- and it just reminds him of his departure soon happening.
On his way back to his small spacecraft, he breaks the news to you, as he unlocks the door. "I.. you knownill have to leave soon, right?" He asks, and you look at him suddenly very surprised.
"Leave?" You ask, before pointing at yourself. "Me?"
"I- I mean technically, yeah. I'll make sure to come back though-" he hurries out, for some reason feeling as if he needs to justify himself to you. Technically, he doesn't. And maybe you don't even care if he leaves or stays.
But then you furrow your brows, dashing past him- right into the spacecraft, out of sight. "I- wait-?" He worries, closing the door behind him as he looks around. There's no way you can hide anywhere in this thing- and you really can't.
Because he can clearly see your body underneath the blankets on his bed.
He sits down there, sighing, before he lifts a corner of the blanket, revealing your face- eyes glistening and revealing that you're definitely upset over this. "No!" You argue, pulling the corner back down as you hide.
"I can't stay forever." He tries to reason with you.
"Stay!" You say, before sitting upright, arms crossed and tail whipping around almost aggressively. He can only see it as awfully cute. "Me-" you point at yourself, before you scoot back into the corner of the bed. "Stay!" You say. "Mine." You underline your statement, as you flop down to the side, laying against the wall you usually lay.
"Are you sure?" He chuckles, not taking your words quite as seriously as you say them. "You'd have to travel with me then. Forever." He challenges, a hand attempting to maybe tickle you- but you instead turn, hugging his back- arms around his middle as you seemingly try and wrap yourself around his sitting body before you nod. "You'd like that?" He asks.
And he takes the way you tighten your hold just a little, as a full on yes.

The beautiful dialogue of Lovely Us
Ep 01
"Once people become parents, their memory begins to become biased. They always remember they are their children's most reliable parents, but often forget that they are also children loved by their own parents. When they are waiting for their children to come back home, they forget that their own parents are also waiting for their return in a similar mood."
"When I'm absent from the concert, my idol won't know or feel sad. But when I don't go back to accompany my mom to celebrate her birthday, she'll know it. I don't want to make her sad."
Ep 02
"A lot of things are good at hide and seek - the old scarf I bought last year, the new eraser, Mom's favorite sewing needle, and a feeling of heartbeat for someone. We try to find them, but in vain. Then when we give it up, they just appear somewhere unexpected - on the back of the chair, in the book, in the cotton thread, and behind my back.
Human heart beats 60 to 100 times per minute on average. That day, I failed to count my heartbeat per minute. Even the water droplets falling from the umbrella were disrupted together with me. The joy, the thrill and the butterfly in the stomach converged into the restless heartbeats. On this raining day, a girl's heart beat 101 times in a minute."
Ep 03
"Huang Chengzi, why is the starry sky beautiful? Do you think it is because of the brightest star? Of course, everyone might say "Look, the Venus" while pointing at the brightest one. However, for those stars shining together and forming the Big Dipper and Orion, don't they look beautiful? They cannot be described as a foil. Anyway, I think some stars that keep shining might be more beautiful than the brightest one however dark they are."
Ep 07
"The audio frequency of the sound when a snowflake falls on the water surface is over 50,000 Hz. Because it falls beyond human beings' hearing range, this snowy day is still so quiet that it seems I can only hear my own heartbeat and that it seems there is only me and the person in front of me on this planet with a population of 6.6 billion. I hope this world can be noiser so that I can pretend that I've never discovered this secret."
"Do you have such a feeling? People around you always tell you that you are already standing on the top of the mountain, but when clouds and mist scatter, you find there is another higher peak waiting for you. After going out, I've found there are so many people who work harder and are more excellent than me. It's just like in an originally easy marathon race, I suddenly find all the people around are sprinting. So, I must run faster. Otherwise, others will surpass me. I'm a little bit out of breath."
"At the age of 17, we all have our own secrets. We are trying to hide those secrets, but they are still going to be discovered. We are unwilling to admit those secrets, but the more we conceal them, the more conspicuous they become. We are very clear about those secrets, but eventually, we are still willing to turn them into memories. And these secrets that cannot be told, are found so similar to each other after a long time. It turns out they are all about unexpected feelings for someone."
Ep 08
"I've always been content with what I have and I'm in need of nothing. I can remember what I read and I'm surrounded by nice people. My life has always been smooth and I thought the life that had been planned was not bad for me. Just like a sailing ship, with enough food, I didn't look forward to rains and storms. I just wanted to follow the prescribed route and go back fo the safe zone of the harbor in the end. That was my perfect ending. But from the very beginning, you've been determined to brave the storm and to see the bigger world. Wind and rain can't knock you down and the waves can't overturn you. You've shown me a life course that's completely different from mine. So, since her dream is to explore this world, I just can't let her go through it alone. Zhu Jinxiao, I like you."
"At the age of 17, the first habit developed by boys is to hide their affections. They think that the probability is just 0.01, so they put on the emperor's new clothes, trying to hide their affections with magic. But affections are not that easy to hide. Even if the probability is pretty low, it will be revealed at a certain moment. So on that rainy night, while looking at her back, he found that the most obvious evidence of falling in love with her was the feeling of easement in his heart and the smile on his face when he looked at her."
Ep 09
"In the past, we always felt a year with 365 days was exceedingly long, but only when it comes to this moment do we understand that we become one year older all of a sudden. The significance of spending the Spring Festival, extending from ancient times to the present, is shining brightly like fireworks, giving us the courage to heal each other many times. And then we can have a new start. It doesn't matter that you can't eat steaming hot dishes. It doesn't matter that you perhaps don't know the secret hidden in the couplet. It doesn't matter that you listen to your grandma's nagging sometimes. Even if it takes too long on the way back, as long as there are people we care about, we won't be lonely. We will return to the home we are familiar with."
Ep 10
"Actually we never forget the happy hours with our parents in childhood. Maybe the so-called alienation is because we walk so fast while our parents are staying where they are. One meter, a hundred meters, a kilometer. The distance becomes farther and farther until we can't hear them calling us. That's why we mistakenly think love is silent. So while we are confused, our parents feel the same too. They are confused about how they can give us their deep love in a smart manner."
"Those who love hiding their feelings most in this world are fathers. They hide their inarticulate concerns in warm lights. In every precious certificate of merit, they put their unmentionable encouragement. Besides, there are many silent surprises they carefully arrange in every day when we are marching to the future. They firmly care about us with such silent fathers' love, and we firmly love them."
Ep 11
"We think that many things and many people in this world can wait til tomorrow. So when you pause it or when you turn around, you think that everything will still be the same tomorrow, or you won't even realize this hope in your mind, because you think tomorrow should be the same as today. And you think nothing will change as time flies by. But this time, the moment you let go and turned around, some things completely changed. The sun went down and before it rises again, some people will leave you forever. We always thought that there would be a big ceremony to say goodbye, so we keep waiting for a warm hug, a refreshing drink, and a heartfelt goodbye. But in the end, we realized that most goodbyes in our lives are all silent."
Ep 12
"At that silent corner in my mind, there are a number of weird illusions. For example, can I become Alice who enters the wonderland with White Rabbit? For example, can I become the little girl who enters the forest with Totoro? For example, is there some special switch in this box which can teleport me? No, none of them exist. There's no flying dragons or knights, and I'm not the heroine of some comics for girls, either. However, the only thing I'm sure about is that this escape greatly shocks my world. My palms would sweat, and my sight would be indistinct. Then my view becomes narrower and narrower until there's room for only one person in my eyes. After a long time, I know such a moment is named adventure, in which the one in your eyes is irreplaceable."
Ep 13
"In the summer of 2008, in retrospect, the most impressive thing may not be the world-famous Olympic Games, but the silly things we did because we were fearless. What is shining and unexpected is everything that is closely related to friendship. We wanted to pick the brightest stars and make the most beautiful wishes, so we became the bravest boys and girls. While crying and laughing, with the bond between each other, toward the most beautiful end of youth, we keep running all the way and never stop."
"The familiar chirping of cicadas on summer nights, the familiar bear doll who must lean by the lamb, the familiar lovely girl who frowns even when she sleeps, and the 17-year-old time wrapped by the sense of familiarity never seem to have changed. The only difference is that when I look at the familiar him, I feel a flurry and uneasiness that I have never expected."
Ep 14
"That night, it was the first time I found there's magic hidden in my mom's smile. Those feelings between adults and children which I thought are hard to express in words don't have to be spoken out. They can be understood through her smile. Indeed, adults don't often say I love you, and seldom say sorry. But it doesn't matter. Action speaks louder than explanation. There's no need to express deep feelings in words. If you stand there quietly, you can automatically receive all their love for you."
"There are many new days like today. Today, he holds my hand. Today, he holds me in his arms. Today, he carries me on his back and runs in the street in the early morning. Many days with him like today will eventually become my unforgettable past days. I'll remember days like today for a long time."
Ep 15
"In the last hundred days, I heard countless times "Hurry up to walk! Hurry up to eat! Hurry up to take the notes! And hurry up to go to the toilet." But it's strange. When you try to seize time by the forelock, it goes faster. Then after the exams, we graduated."
"I just want to be an ordinary person. I'll live on a small fruit stand in the future or continue your small shop, which makes me happy. This is life. It's my own choice and I will bear the results. Different people have different dreams. Let those extraordinary people be extraordinary. I just want to be a happy and ordinary person."
"Friendship means so much to us. It brings us close, and makes me flinch, so sometimes we just tell ourselves that as long as we're together, I can be just a friend of hers. But the taxi that I failed to catch, the phone calls that have been hung up, the time that's flying and my restless heart are telling me eagerly that in this world, both love and friendship are important. Every detail related to you is reminding me that we can't be just friends. So when it's still not too late, I have to tell you the things that I want to tell you as soon as possible. Huang Chengzi, I like you."
Ep 16
"In this world, it seems like all wishes have a guardian. Wishing wells, shooting stars, the aquarium's white whale. They're all hiding in the corners of the universe caressing the sorrow of loving someone alone. It's just that the god of happiness can't bless everyone out there. They let some people be happy and their wishes come true, and let some be sad, but they can't admit how sad they really are. The feeling of being in love is like a butterfly gently flapping its wings, that stirs up a hurricane in people's hearts. The second you realize it, then there's no escape."
"That's you when you're happy. And that's you when you're mad. Over there is the jealous you, and you when you're being naughty and pretending to cry. I was just going to draw one to start with, but every expression you have is floating around in my head, and I really love every single one of them."
"I've never been afraid of growing up. And I've never worried that growing up would be lonely. Not because I'm so strong, but because I have faith that I will never be alone. The guy who held my hand will continue to grow up closely together with me. The guy who's in my diary and I in his, will exchange even more secrets in the future. All of us have walked together through the years and will continue to walk together farther into the future. This world never lets lovely people down, and we are all lovely."

Hey there, another ask that isn't about Luckyboy!AU (don't worry, I have some questions for another day XD), would you mind telling us a bit about your OCs? I noticed there are more than one. Also it doesn't matter if you give almost no info about them since it's perfectly possible that you only though on their looks and nothing else, heavens know that that has happened to me before XD
Howdy!
Goodness me there's so much I can say about my OC's. They're more than their looks! In fact their looks keep changing (this is the curse of always wanting to change ur style and getting bored on your concepts)
I'll go through only 2 stories for now, cause I got a few.
SWUP and Flee (working title)
(Gecko and Intergalactic Fugitives are another 2- There's also a concept I play around with called Space thief, but it's nothing serious)
(this might be a long one ;;;) Also lucky you, you get to see my old hideous art!
To begin with we have SWUP. Super Warrior Unicorn Princess. The main character, Vicky has been through a few design changes and a few personality changes too haha ;;
Tumblr media
What I have set in stone for her was she was abducted by aliens turned into a "unicorn" (in this story unicorns and dragons are two different alien species- cause I like unicorns and dragons. that's literally the only reason lol.) Dumped back on earth and told she would be taken to their planet in 30 days to protect their planet. Hence the warrior part of her name.
I only just finalised a human version of her - the OG look per say.
Her design inspiration was from Legend of Korra- cause I love the buff women!
Tumblr media
James is another character- I cannot design him for the life of me. Originally he was supposed to be a love interest/sidekick. Than I realised I could make my characters gay. So yeah. He was going to be Cactus boy. Cause unicorns have sharp horns- and cactus's are sharp too. I was but a fetus when I came up with this! I'm almost considering booting him out completely, however.... his dad does play an important role to the story. So I dunno.
Tumblr media
Following up we have the actual love interest! Sara, She's kinda a new addition to the story, a sweet barista who pops up at the most inconvenient times with coffee. Cause as you can tell already, I love the coffee shop dynamic.
Tumblr media
Felidae, another victim, I mean unicorn. She's supposed to be like, the wise old man character achetype to the story, but It's kinda in and out. She was originally designed to be school aged, but I thought it'd be more interesting to have a 48 year wine aunt character. She was also a model.
So basically SWUP is coffee shop + action super + aliens. The story is still very much developing and always changing.
Next up is Flee (working title) I had this concept going for 5 years now And I still can't think of a better name.
The only reason it's called Flee is because the main characters were fleeing from a nasty village.
Basically the idea is about a post apocalyptic wasteland inhabited by humans and mutants(?) just animal people i guess. A nuclear explosion went off a couple hundred years ago, wiping out most of the population. Think Mad Max vibes (even tho i've never watched the movies ;;;)
The few humans/mutants that do exist live in caves (for the mutants- they hide from the humans cause humans hunt them for food and sport) And the humans live in villages. But there are also humans who live in Domes. These Domes are cities, only the rich could live in them. They were built before the nuclear downfall.
Anyways the main trio. I'm a huge sucker for the found family dynamic.
Tumblr media
Leo, a bearded vulture-like mutant, his og goal was to fly out and look for water for his cave colony. Unfortunately he ran into an annoying human. I keep playing with the idea that he was shot down by hunters. But I dunno. I mean it's probably the only way he'd stay grounded- badumptsss
Tumblr media
Tristian, the said, annoying human. A happy go lucky, optimistic kid. Originally I designed him as an adult, buuut nah, I wanted Tristian to be like a little brother to Leo. He lived in the Dome his whole life, but escaped because he wanted to explore the outside. Turns out it's a lot more dangerous than anticipated. So Leo has to take him back.
Tumblr media
Robin, the feral gremlin child. She's vengeful beast of a kid, living in an isolated cabin with her parents. Tristian and Leo ran into her accidentally. She's like baby sister. Another annoying child to drag back to the Dome for Leo.
Anyways that's those lot done. I had to be brief because like I said, there;s a lot i have to say.
I hope you could read that, cause I certainly can't!

———
guess we're alike that way (Rated T) [Murphy/Octavia]
Summary: Octavia died 25 years ago. The answer, by the way, is ghosts. Just ghosts. Yeah, it's just as bad as it sounds. Especially Murphy. Why did the only living person who could see her have to be fucking Murphy?
The Haunting of Kane Manor (Rated M) [Bellamy/Clarke]
Summary: When Roan offers Clarke and Bellamy a hundred grand to stay at a fake haunted house for a night for his new reality TV show, they jump at the chance. But what happens when it turns out to actually be haunted?
cause i know in the morning you'll be gone (how am i supposed to carry on?) (Rated T) [Echo/Wells]
Summary: Wells liked things to make sense.
Allying themselves with Azgeda when the opportunity came up made sense. Doing whatever it took to make that alliance stick made sense. Entering an arranged marriage with a woman he'd never met for the sake of his people made sense.
The butterflies in his gut whenever he locked eyes with the Azgedan ambassador who was decidedly not his fiancée made no sense at all.
Imitation (Rated M) [Murphy/Emori] *Major Character Death*
Summary: In a remote research station on the planet Nakara, Emori is just starting to get into a rhythm with her work when things take a turn for the worse. It starts off with a dog bite but it leads into a desperate race to survive, as the infection spreads and it turns out that her fellow teammates aren’t all who they appear to be. The race against time will involve keeping emotions and personal feelings in check while trying to stop the creatures from picking them all off one by one.
you can stand under my umbrella (Rated T) [Clarke/Murphy]
Summary: Abandoning the children was definitely a no-no on field trips. But does it really count when you're just completely, genuinely lost in a corn maze?
OR
After six years of working with him, Clarke still doesn't know Murphy's first name, and at this point its definitely too late to ask.
Mad Women (Rated T) [Gen Fic]
Summary: Four-hundred-and-twenty-three days in the never-ending darkness of the uncharted universe, and Murphy’s starting to wonder if space madness really is setting in. At least he’s not as far-gone as Raven, hidden away in her laboratory, fiddling with alien tech; or Clarke, who is steering them steadfastly into the deep unknown of ‘haunted space.’
Something isn’t right here, even if Bellamy and Octavia don’t want to see it.
When their little ship receives a distress call from an old friend, the tensions between captain and crew finally come to a head, and Murphy faces more than one unpleasant truth.
Bury a Friend (Rated M) [Murphy/Emori, Bellamy/Clarke, Raven/Shaw]
Summary: As part of their Halloween tradition of trying to scare themselves, Emori, Murphy, Bellamy, Clarke, Raven and Shaw decide to step it up this year by exploring an abandoned Asylum - only, it's not as abandoned as they once thought.
it was only a dream? (Rated T) [Spacekru]
Summary: It's just another ordinary day on the Ring until someone points out that it's Halloween. That's when things get weird.
the ghost in you, she don't fade (Rated E) [Bellamy/Clarke]
Summary: The wooded area behind the Collins’ property stretches for about nine square miles with the highway into town bordering the far side and the Blake property guarding the southernmost corner. Nine square miles.
It might as well be a million.
Clarke takes another fortifying breath.
It does no good to think about Bellamy. He’s no longer part of the equation. He’s made that abundantly clear.
The Wanheda Tape (Rated T) [Gen Fic]
Summary: "It's the Wanheda Tape. You gotta remember this. It happened like five or six years ago. Those dumbass college kids went into the woods out past the auto shop and got lost and never came back... Seriously, what were you two doing in the fourth grade, living under a rock?"
de omnibus dubitandum (Rated M) [Lexa/Echo/Josephine]
Summary: After vampires took over the world, the Hunter Association was the only thing that stood between the creatures of the night and the rest of humanity. Lexa, commander of the association, was determined to bring the world to a better place, no matter the cost.
And then she met Josephine Lightbourne.
slay your demons (Not Rated) [Jasper & Monty]
Summary: He doesn’t like this. He never has. There is a reason he self medicates with booze and drugs: It’s to stop seeing people like her - dead people.
OR
Umbrella Academy AU but make it Monty and Jasper.
More Than I Do (Rated T) [Gen Fic]
Summary: Mysterious circumstances surround the sudden tragedies afflicting Clarke's loved ones. Can she figure out why before she loses everyone she cares about? Maybe not, but she's willing to die trying.
———
Honorable Mention of this submission to the Non-Anon Collection:
I’m Demon Proof, Baby (Rated T) [Murphy/Emori] by Anonymous
Summary: Arcadia Investigates is well into its fifth or sixth season, depending on how you count it, and Wilmington Hospital has been just begging for a visit.
Clarke thinks it's very scary. Murphy thinks it's very fake.
Bellamy and Emori are mostly just there to make sure someone gets some usable footage.

I slowly begin to wake and curl more into the couch. My body feels less heavy than it usually does, more alert. That alone has me feeling uneasy before I realize I'm on my couch... not my bed.
I shoot up in terror knowing fully well that he did something to me, that Loki made me pass out. Though, the fast movement throws me off balance and I end up tumbling to the floor. While pushing myself up with a groan, I hear hurried footsteps rush towards me on the floor.
"What in Odin's name are you doing on the floor?" He chides somewhere behind me.
"What did you do to me?" I sneer while turning towards his voice.
"Just a simple sleeping incantation." He tells me while nonchalantly crossing his arms.
"Why?" I growl while forcing myself to stand. He sighs while rolling his eyes.
"For one, I was brought, somehow, to this place, against my will might I add. So, my trust in you was not and is not very high. Another reason I kept you asleep, after I explored to make sure it was safe, was because it appeared that you needed it." He explains in a very frustrated tone. I take a deep breath.
"I guess we're even then." He looks at me curiously. "Both being kidnapped by the other..." I elaborate.
"Not quite..." He states while I cock an eyebrow. "Your name... I still do not know it."
I sigh while trying to run a hand through my very knotted dirty-blond hair.
"People call me 'Saddie'." I tell him while walking to my room to retrieve my brush.
"You didn't answer my question." He huffs.
"Yes, I did." The retort comes out more bitter than intended but I don't care to change it.
"I asked for your name, not a nickname. I told you my name without the added titles."
"'Of Asgard' isn't an added title?" He groans at the sarcastic remark while I carefully brush the wavy tresses.
"Your name?" He asks again, though annoyed.
I sigh, not wanting to say it out loud.
"No need to tell me, you just did." He chuckles darkly from the hallway.
"What?!" I yell.
"Don't worry, Sadira, I think it's a very unique name." I feel my face grow hot with anger and notice the lightbulbs starting to flicker.
I storm out of my room only to spot him standing frozen in the hallway, staring at the flickering bulbs.
"Do NOT use that name!" He turns around to face me quickly. "And stop reading my DAMN MIND!" I scream.
He holds his hands up in surrender.
"I give you my word, not to do that again." He tells me.
I scoff.
"I don't know if I believe you."
I brush past him and make my way to the kitchen. I haven't eaten since before I left for work, however long ago that was. As the thought of food crosses my mind, my stomach growls painfully and I resist the urge to groan because of it. God, I want something sweet.
As I begin to prep my meal. I see Loki leaning on the doorway, just observing.
"Do you want anything?" I ask, my head deep into the refrigerator.
"Sure." I hear in reply. "As long as you don't poison it." I half-chuckle.
"You never know..."
I begin to pull ingredients together and place them on the counter.
"Why did you teleport into the middle of the street?" I ask while focused on the food in front of me.
"Huh?"
"Well, you suddenly appear on Earth in the very early morning, looking very upset or unnerved for whatever reason, and then appear to want to blend in. Seeing as you're wearing... what do you call it... ah, Midgardian clothes, instead of what looked like a cape when I first saw you. It looks to me like you're on the run." I explain.
"You saw that?"
"I saw everything. The beam that brought you here and everything that followed until you spotted me." I say, while waving a spatula around as I talk.
"But why did you think I was on the run? Maybe you are yourself." My eyes snap up to meet his. "You have nothing personal in here. No pictures of family... friends, no images at all. Not even a plant." He pries while moving closer to me.
"Because I have none."
"What?"
"I have no friends or family." I growl while tightly gripping onto the spatula.
I move my eyes back onto the food I'm preparing in order to prevent the tears in my eyes from spilling. And I try so hard as to push them back.
"Now, are you on the run?" I ask through gritted teeth.
"In a sense... Yes. Are they actively looking for me? No. No harm will come to you because of it."
I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding in at his explanation.
"Who are you hiding from?" He asks, carefully.
"Too many people to list." I chuckle darkly as I put the mixture into a pan. "Mainly HYDRA though. Unfortunately, S.H.I.E.L.D. hasn't been able to completely rid the world of them." I grumble.
"Ugh, S.H.I.E.L.D." He grunts with such distaste.
"I take it you've encountered them." I state while looking at him from the corner of my eye.
He hums in acknowledgement while I flip the item in the pan.
"Well I haven't, but I'm grateful for them nonetheless. If it wasn't for S.H.I.E.L.D, HYRDA would still have me. And I don't want to imagine the horrors that would come from that."
I begin to plate what I had prepared before washing and cutting up some strawberries.
"What is your favorite fruit?" I ask faintly.
"What?"
"Do you have a favorite fruit?" I ask again, though slightly annoyed.
"No, none that I know from Midgard." He says, very confused.
I hum while taking a can of whipped cream from the fridge.
After stacking two pancakes, I drizzle the cut strawberries on top before adding a spiral of whipped cream and a drizzle of maple syrup. I pass the finished plate to him along with a fork and knife before doing the same to my plate. I walk to the fridge and put all the ingredients away, but not before spraying some of the cream into my mouth.
I look back at Loki and notice he wears a disgusted expression.
"What? My house, my rules. And besides, it's for good luck." I defend while stabbing my fork into a piece of a pancake.
He scoffs but says nothing. I shake my head and continue eating. My thoughts begin to wander to all the events that occurred today, when I gasp.
Loki gives me a strange look as I run over to the living room and turn the TV on the first news station I find. The Q-Ship is still being played all over each network with the headlines reading "Attack on New York City". Various "experts" talk and give their predictions of what it means or what's going to happen. I scowl at the stupidity of those so-called "experts". The really have NO idea what the hell is going on.
Tony Stark's face shows up on the screen as the title reads "Missing". I hope that he's still alive, still in the fight. I know we'll need him. I mean, they'll need him.
Hpmh "we'll"...?
I am NOT getting involved in this anymore.
The image then changes to Cull Obsidian and Ebony Maw giving their oh-so nauseating "rejoice because of our presence" speech. I growl at their faces immediately causing the TV and the lights to begin to flicker.
"You know the Black Order." It's not a question but a statement. I turn to face Loki who has an uncertain look on his face.
I sigh, but say nothing to confirm or deny before looking back at the TV. What's the point? The answer is already known.
"Saddie... How do you know them?" He says inching closer to me. I can feel the spike of his heart-rate, I can feel his fear as if it was my own. Though, some of it is my own fear too.
"I guess that's who you're running from." I half-heartedly say with a chuckle. Though, I'm not even sure I'm correct.
"How do you know Thanos?" He asks slowly, cautiously, scared of a reaction. My reaction.
And he should be, because at the mention of his name, I begin to shake uncontrollably.
"Please... Please, don't. You don't want to know." I croak, shutting my eyes from the new tears in my eyes pushing to be set free.
Before either of us can do anything, the screen changes to "Possible Alien Attack in Scotland".
"Now why the hell would they go to Scotland?" I ponder out-loud with tears still rimming my eyes.
My eyes widen in slight fear before I pivot to face Loki.
"When was the last time you faced the Black Order?" I question quickly, harshly brushing off the lone tear that fell.
He flinches from my sudden actions, but remains silent.
"You're running from Thanos and his children. What happened to cause you to run?" I push because I need to know. If this is what I think it is, I'm not safe anymore, no one is.
Still there is silence...
"Tell me!" I scream at him.
His face scrunches briefly before he sighs.
"The day I arrived on Midgard. Ragnarok happened to my realm, Asgard. Me and my brother, Thor, we escaped with our people. Then Thanos arrived, he wanted the Tesseract. Inside was one of the six Infinity Stones. They're-"
"I know what they are. But did you just give one of the stones to him?! Why would you even consider that?!" It can't be the same Thor as... No, no it's just a similar name. Focus Saddie!
"I didn't! Not at first! He already had one! He had the Power Stone, and he had my brother! And he was torturing him for the stone! You have no idea what that's like. To bargain for the life of someone you care about!" His words send a dagger to my heart and I feel the burn of tears in my eyes again.
"I have every idea what that is like! That is why I have no family left!" I scream, the lights start flickering again.
Silence envelops the room again except for our raging breaths slowly calming down from our shouting.
"Balance... That's what he calls it. Where there is an entire population, Thanos will leave half. Two planets in a system, one remains untouched. Two siblings..." I trail off and only one tear rolls down my cheek. "You were the sibling that should have died... weren't you?" My voice soft with sadness and understanding.
He says nothing, he doesn't need to.
"You need to tell your brother you're alive." I say choking back a sob.
"What? I can not simply do that! You have no ide-"
"STOP SAYING THAT! I lost my twin sister because of that monster!" I scream. "I am in your brother's shoes. I mourn the loss of my sister everyday! I blame myself! He needs to know, he needs to know you're still alive!" The tears have been rolling in uncontrollable waves down my face before I inhale a deep breath and exhale, slowly willing myself to calm down.
"There are more Infinity Stones on Earth... That is the only possible explanation for his presence here." I reason while the tears slow.
I kneel down and extend my palm on the ground. Reaching my power outward, I let myself connect to the Earth. It's over-powering and extremely painful to do because of my limited practice, but I persist.
"What are you-"
I let myself slip into the feel of the world, the magnitude of power it possesses, but I feel it. One form of power that exists above all else on this planet. The only Infinity Stone on Earth. I gasp, call back my abilities, and fall backwards. The power surges, then every electric source in my house flickers to black. I sit in the dark silence as I still can feel the stone somewhere in New York, somewhere close by. The power goes back on and I turn to a stunned Loki.
Tapping into the city's power supply, I try to recharge my energy as quickly as I can before sitting up, and pushing past the annoying man in my living room.
"Where are you going?" He calls out as I throw the door open to my room.
"There's an Infinity Stone still on Earth. Either the Black Order, or Thanos will be there. I'm going." I tell him as I drag a chest from under my bed.
"What?! Are you mad?!"
"Possibly..." I mutter to him as I throw the lid open.
Possibly? Try undeniably!
Yeah, I'm so not getting involved in this... dammit.
Inside the chest various knives, daggers, and even my bo-staff lie waiting to be used. Most of the metals are specifically designed for me by the Mad Titan himself. Smiling to myself at the comfort my weapons bring, I use my power to throw Loki out of the room and shut the door. After locking it, I begin to change, but not into one of the garbs I wore while my sister was still alive.
Instead, I slip on the suit HYDRA had made for me before I escaped. It's a navy catsuit that almost resembles Black Widow's own one. I zip it up to my neck then pull on black lace-up boots and my black fingerless gloves. I arm myself to the teeth with several small knives, four daggers (the two largest, from my time with HYDRA, rest on my thighs), and the bo-staff that extends into my favorite duel-bladed weapon.
Sealing the chest back up and returning it under my bed, I unlock and open the door to which Loki stumbles in. Apparently, leaning on the door was smart. A very, very, smart idea indeed.
He scoffs at my thoughts when he regains his composure. Though, I recall telling him not to read my mind anymore, I have more important things to do than to yell at him. Instead, I settle for an eye roll.
Looking me up and down as I place my long hair into a high ponytail, his mouth hangs open as he stares. I ignore the goosebumps that erupt under his gaze. Wow, do I need more male interaction or what? Mentally chastising myself, I clear my throat, bringing his attention back to me, or to my eyes.
"Please don't do anything destructive while I'm gone." I practically beg before teleporting away.
