📝 If you planned things right, you could rain down your raging displeasure on Jeon Jungkook right after the meal but before this proposed ‘Netflix and chilling,’ maybe dramatically throw your glass of wine at him, before storming out of his place and reporting him to the authorities (Namjoon) for his douchebag personality.

🗨️ I wouldn’t normally recommend an incomplete series, but I really like this one and I actually think that the last special works well as the finale for the series (it gives closure). There are many parts, specials and ‘commercial breaks’ in this, so a lot to sink your teeth in! I think it is funny and sweet and there’s smut in every main story ❤️‍🔥

⭐Bad Decisions by @jjungkookislife // myg x f.reader // f2l, tech support!Yoongi // 🥵🥰😂

📝 Jimin is desperate to get his apartment back to himself. He’ll move hell and earth, and even drop to his knees to beg you to take his brother, Yoongi, out of his hands. Who are you to say no to that pretty face and sinister grin?

🗨️ It should be illegal how much I enjoyed and adore this! I loved the dynamic between all the characters. It is definitely worth a read, it is thoroughly funny and smutty 👌

An Incomplete List: One

The fact that this was number one on Alex's list in the book spoke volumes about their relationship AND how easy it was for him to admit to this. That pissing Henry off is obviously one of his favorite things to do. The balls! Then, how it was adapted into the movie at the beginning is one of my favorite things about this scene. Henry clearly can't contain his true feelings, even if Alex is annoying him, he's also wrestling with how he feels about Alex being undoubtedly entertaining and fond of the behavior. I've never seen an actor bring "pissed off, yet amused" so well into a character the way that Nick did with Henry, and he did it often, and it's incredibly essential to who Henry is as a person. But then, even more, it's so crucial to his and Alex's relationship before they were actually involved in more than just their insane amount of sexual tension, and continues throughout it. I love how honest they are with one another ALMOST all the time.

Bo Ruberg: We Know The Devil is, as you say, about women who love other women, yet you've written online about being "against representation" in video games. What does that mean and how do you reconcile those approaches? Aevee Bee: That article was a little manifesto. When I say that I'm "against representation," I mean that representation can't just be a list of identity categories. It's not really representation unless you're creating complexity; without complexity, characters feel insincere and incomplete. The dumbed-down version of a queer person, or the queer person that never expresses their sexuality--these characters don't actually require you to empathize with queer people, because these characters have no sexuality. When you erase that, you erase their anchor, their passion, their frustrations, or their flaws even, especially their flaws. You're not doing empathy work if you're not engaging with these things, because these are the stumbling blocks for empathy. Sometimes people are like, "I like gay people who don't act gay." You know? Those are the people you're catering to when you make those sorts of characters. Identity is so important to talk about, yet it can be so limiting. I've been having a lot of discussions with queer activists and queer scholars about this desire to all call ourselves "queer," like we're this amorphous blob. That can actually be incredibly unhelpful because it doesn't acknowledge the very real differences that often exist between queer people. Our experiences are specific to our lives. Focusing only on identity, especially identity without experience, reduces everyone to an abstraction. Ruberg: Given how much you value the specifics of individual queer experience, how would you describe the complexities, as you call them, of your own queer identity? Bee: Being a woman is really important to me. Transness is also really important to me. In terms of sexuality, I tend to talk about how sexuality is practiced and understood rather than talking about specific attractions. What's the point of trying to say, "Oh, I have this very specific sexual identity" when sexuality is really hard to separate from gender identity and expression? Sexuality is more complicated than we often give it credit for. For example, I'm less interested in saying "I identify as bisexual," than I am in thinking about the ways that I love women and the ways that I love men and how those are unfortunately incredibly different because of all these social pressures, my own histories, and my internalized baggage. How do we navigate that together with another person? What does a relationship with someone like me look like? it's one thing to be like, "We have this list of labels," but we have so few models for what those labels are supposed to look like.

Let's spread some love 😘. What are some of your top five favourite cs fics?

Oh, Nonny... This is so difficult!!! There are so many incredible fics out there. So here is a list of the first five that came to mind because I rarely stumble on one that I don't love...

(1) @kmomof4 has a host of incredible fics. (It is kind of fun reading her backlog because her first few fics include author notes along the line of 'I am not a writer, but I had this idea. I will probably never write again' but she has 39 strong CS fics. I say all that to say... her recent Bridgerton-inspired fic A Mistress to No One is at the top of my list.

(2) @the-darkdragonfly was one of the first CS authors I read and I have yet to find a story of hers that I don't instantly fall in love with. I love her voice and style so, so much. She is single-handly responsible for my love for Will Scarlet. My current favourite of hers is Tempest - be warned it is incomplete-ish (it is a rewrite of an older story), but kudos and comments feed the muse... so, go read it and let her know how amazing it is.

(3) @nachocheese-itsmycheese will break your heart, bring tears to your eyes, and have no mercy for you while she does it. And, if that doesn't make for some amazing fics... I honestly don't know which of hers to recommend. Read them all? Currently, I cannot get enough of Between Waking Life and Our Dreams but that Darkness Series is also so good. And, I cannot forget the Captain Cobra story...

(4) @hollyethecurious and @winterbaby89 also have an entire bookshelf of amazing fics. Their joint effort Dark Hook Comes to Storybrooke is bloody brilliant.

I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT I HAVE ALREADY REACHED....

(5) @donteattheappleshook is another of my first CS fic authors and, again, has a host of incredible fics for you to read. Not Broken at All is one of my favourites of hers, but seriously the other ones are so, so good that it is a favourite by the finest of margins.

But, seriously, this misses so many fantastic authors and amazing stories...

Do you know, I’ve realised I’ve never actually told you what I thought the first time we met? You see, for me, memories are difficult. Very often, they hurt. A curious thing about grief is the way it takes your entire life, all those foundational years that made you who you are, and makes them so painful to look back upon because of the absence there, that suddenly they’re inaccessible. You must invent an entirely new system. I started to think of myself and my life and my whole lifetime worth of memories as all the dark, dusty rooms of Buckingham Palace. I took the night Bea left rehab and I begged her to take it seriously, and I put it in a room with pink peonies on the wallpaper and a golden harp in the center of the floor. I took my first time, with one of my brother’s mates from uni when I was seventeen, and I found the smallest, most cramped little broom cupboard I could muster, and I shoved it in. I took my father’s last night, the way his face went slack, the smell of his hands, the fever, the waiting and waiting and terrible waiting and the even worse not-waiting anymore, and I found the biggest room, a ballroom, wide open and dark, windows drawn and covered. Locked the doors. But the first time I saw you. Rio. I took that down to the gardens. I pressed it into the leaves of a silver maple and recited it to the Waterloo Vase. It didn’t fit in any rooms. You were talking with Nora and June, happy and animated and fully alive, a person living in dimensions I couldn’t access, and so beautiful. Your hair was longer then. You weren’t even a president’s son yet, but you weren’t afraid. You had a yellow ipê-amarelo in your pocket. I thought, this is the most incredible thing I have ever seen, and I had better keep it a safe distance away from me. I thought, if someone like that ever loved me, it would set me on fire. And then I was a careless fool, and I fell in love with you anyway. When you rang me at truly shocking hours of the night, I loved you. When you kissed me in disgusting public toilets and pouted in hotel bars and made me happy in ways in which it had never even occurred to me that a mangled-up, locked-up person like me could be happy, I loved you. And then, inexplicably, you had the absolute audacity to love me back. Can you believe it? Sometimes, even now, I still can’t.

You shut the fuck up.

I can’t decide if your emails make me miss you more or less. Sometimes I feel like a funny-looking rock in the middle of the most beautiful clear ocean when I read the kinds of things you write to me. You love so much bigger than yourself, bigger than everything. I can’t believe how lucky I am to even witness it—to be the one who gets to have it, and so much of it, is beyond luck and feels like fate. I can’t match you for prose, but what I can do is write you a list. AN INCOMPLETE LIST: THINGS I LOVE ABOUT HRH PRINCE HENRY OF WALES. 1. The sound of your laugh when I piss you off. 2. The way you smell underneath your fancy cologne, like clean linens but somehow also fresh grass (what kind of magic is this?). 3. That thing you do where you stick out your chin to try to look tough. 4. How your hands look when you play piano. 5. All the things I understand about myself now because of you. 6. How you think Return of the Jedi is the best Star Wars (wrong) because deep down you’re a gigantic, sappy, embarrassing romantic who just wants the happily ever after. 7. Your ability to recite Keats. 8. Your ability to recite Bernadette’s “Don’t let it drag you down” monologue from Priscilla, Queen of the Desert. 9. How hard you try. 10. How hard you’ve always tried. 11. How determined you are to keep trying. 12. That when your shoulders cover mine, nothing else in the entire stupid world matters. 13. The goddamn issue of Le Monde you brought back to London with you and kept and have on your nightstand (yes, I saw it). 14. The way you look when you first wake up. 15. Your shoulder-to-waist ratio. 16. Your huge, generous, ridiculous, indestructible heart. 17. Your equally huge dick. 18. The face you just made when you read that last one. 19. The way you look when you first wake up (I know I already said this, but I really, really love it). 20. The fact that you loved me all along. I keep thinking about that last one ever since you told me, and what an idiot I was. It’s so hard for me to get out of my own head sometimes, but now I’m coming back to what I said to you the night in my room when it all started, and how I brushed you off when you offered to let me go after the DNC, how I used to try to act like it was nothing sometimes. I didn’t even know what you were offering to do to yourself. God, I want to fight everyone who’s ever hurt you, but it was me too, wasn’t it? All that time. I’m so sorry. Please stay gorgeous and strong and unbelievable.

I tend to be primarily a zuko-centric gen fic enjoyer in the atla fandom so that's what most of these are gonna be!

Pretty much every author on this list has a bunch of stellar works and I'd recommend checking out all of their ao3 profiles, but these are just some of my personal favorites!

I've been having a Rough Time™ lately, so most of my faves fall on the soft and squishy side– if you're looking for heavy angst I do not have much of it 😔

Salvage (complete) by @muffinlance is by the same author as Towards The Sun and a fandom classic at this point; I cannot recommend it enough. Summary: Mid-Season-One Zuko is held for ransom by Chief Hakoda. Ozai's replies to the Water Tribe's demands are A+ Parenting. Hakoda is… deeply concerned, for this son that isn't his, and who might be safer among enemies than with his own father.

The Fire Nation Yacht Club series (reads as complete) by @sword-and-stars gives me all the emotions. Summary: Sokka knows three (3) things: 1. The caldera is on fire. 2. Ozai’s really, really dead (and so is his daughter). 3. The only one having a worse day is probably Zuko. / Everyone has their breaking point. This is what happens after you’ve broken. In which healing is a process and also it kind of sucks.

For Hearth and Home (complete) is another classic fic by the same author (honestly just check out all of their work, it's all stellar) that I absolutely adore. Summary: There’s a child underneath Fire Lord Zuko’s desk. He doesn’t realize this until he sits down and tiny hands wrap themselves around his ankles, and Fire Lord Zuko definitely does not shriek and backpedal away at the unexpected touch. He definitely does do that but Gou, the single guard he’s agreed to let shadow him, is kind enough not to mention it.

Mountains and Badgermolehills (complete) by Glass_Onion is an incredibly fun and well-written romp of a read. Summary: After the Blue Spirit frees the Avatar from the Pohuai Stronghold, Admiral Zhao captures Prince Zuko under suspicion of treason. Isolated from his Uncle and his crew, Zuko has only one ally: the chatty prisoner one cell over.

The Art of Burning (incomplete, ongoing) by @hella1975 is superb- lots of angst, lots of emotions, and lots of memes. Summary (excerpt): In a warring land, the Water Tribe forgave the enemy in an act of defiance. For this, he was torn from them, and this time, his wounds won't heal so easily.

Embers (complete) by Vathara is another fandom classic– one I have not yet been able to finish because dear god is it long. like holy shit. Very dense and plot-heavy and an incredible read if you're a lover of worldbuilding and fantasy politics. Summary: Dragon's fire is not so easily extinguished; when Zuko rediscovers a lost firebending technique, shifting flames can shift the world...

where the stars do not take sides (complete) by WitchofEndor is a very sweet and interesting canon divergence fic, and of course as always I am a SUCKER for the fire siblings being close. Such a sucker. Summary: When Azula is nine, she becomes an only child. She hears the Fire Lord call for Zuko's life, and in the morning, her mother and brother are gone. Azula may be young, but she isn't naive. She knows what happened to them. Which makes it all the more surprising when Azula tracks the Avatar down and fights his group of peasant friends, only to find herself staring into an eerily familiar face.

Honor & Vengeance on the High Seas (complete) by @paramouradrift is a very fun read– I haven't finished it yet but if you love boats, pirate Zuko, and angry teenagers being gay and doing crime, I guarantee you'll have a good time. Summary: Zuko was banished, but instead of devoting his life to finding the Avatar to regain his honor he gave in to his spite and became a pirate against Ozai.

And the world, still so wild, called to me (I was lost, I’d been kept on my knees) (complete) by delightfullydiscordant– An Aang-centric fic that hurts my HEART Summary (excerpt): A study in grief and loss, in anger and hate.

a viper-lizard's tales (incomplete, ongoing) by Yumi_Take is really sweet and very fun; it has a simple but unique and interesting prose style that I really like. Summary: The desert sun burns and Zuko probably shouldn't touch the moving cloth, but he does anyway.

My dear friend, the flame is lit in the chapel!

Themes I like. Themes I – like? Everything. Perhaps nothing. Perhaps both. (Do I seem to like it? It is my favourite book in the world. I am not sure if I can say that I like it, but boy! does it belong to me. I wonder if it likes me – as far as a book could like a person. If it does, then in a David Eliot sort of way [by the way, if you have trouble with the ending of this book or see it as a sad ending, I recommend to you the novel The Bird in the Tree], inflicting pain as a good surgeon does.

A few notes in the beginning: it's an incredibly beautiful novel. In every way. And not only the first part, as some would like to claim, reducing it to a "dark-light academia fluffy gay-ish romance with strawberrries" and suchlike. All three parts, and the Prologue and Epilogue, are beautiful, important, and (though in some ways different) interconnected. If you want to watch an adaptation, go for the 1981 series, which is brilliant. Avoid the 2008 film, which is horrid.

Themes that stick out to me in particular – that simply happen to (come to mind to) me:

The flame is lit in the chapel (and Brideshead still standing) (and all that in the Age of Hooper)

Every single thing Cordelia says. Pay good attention to everything Cordelia says, especially later on!

The inexorable call of the Church, the inevietable pursuit of and by and through God

Love and all that is Good of it (and all the pain it can bring)

Choosing the Right thing against all odds, against all desires, against all expectations

Finding, having, and in some ways losing (yet somehow never truly losing) a home, as an outsider who is perhaps even more at home than everyone else, and coming back, physically, and spiritually, even when it is lost, when times have changed, when that place – and that sort of place – does not exist anymore, because its essence will never leave you (Sic transit gloria mundi)

Being a Catholic in the Diaspora – Being an imperfect Catholic in the Diaspora! (oh how much more perfect and pious and pure Catholics are expected to be in non-Catholic environments!) – Belonging to a deeply paradoxial culture, and truly belonging to the paradox more than to any plain and simple conventionality

More universal than that: being different at the same time as being not different at all, being different in the sense that the same life is experienced with a different sort of light; belonging (and not) and then elsewhere (and not that either)

I sincerely recommend to pay good attention, to all sorts of little bits! And to be open, to each and every one character, and part and chapter.

Oh, and let's not forget Aloysius! Not a theme but a Very Important Character.

And I would still also like to say that, though the setting of this book might appear distant and antiquated to a reader (I have read enough reviews to know that this is a common opinion) that everything this book is about is still (and, in a way again, these last few years) very, very relevant. (I do not think that contemporary relevance is a necessecity for an old book, but nevertheless it does simply happen to be so with this one.)

Oh, I do so love this book. (And I am so incredibly glad that my posts about it made you all the more interested!)

first months as a (substitute/supportive) teacher - some thoughts (an incomplete list)

autumn holidays start on friday, so I thought I'd write down some thoughts on my experience of the last 2-ish months. I definitely have some growing and learning to do, it shows that I'm only half-trained for this

surprisingly I enjoy working with the smallest (grade 1/2) the most. it's partially that (unless they need me for substitute lessons) I spend the most time in that class and have gotten to know the pupils quite well. I know the routines of the class and I got into a great rhythm with the main teacher

the pupils are opening up a lot more about their interests and their lives, striking up conversations with me when they see me in the yard during break. I'm glad that I don't seem like a stranger to them anymore!

substitute lessons without tasks prepared by the teacher are more draining than I expected them to be. I also lack skills for coming up with substitute lessons for my subjects (let alone other subjects) bc I have very little experience of what they're already supposed to know/be able to do. especially in english lessons it's hard to find an appropriate level

being the only visibly and out trans nonbinary teacher is exhausting. I'm looking forward to the day when I've given substitute lessons in every class so I can stop explaining myself. I don't mind explaining queer topics to children and it's important to have those conversations but I'm the only one having them bc I have to, bc my genderqueer appearance raises questions and if it doesn't introducing myself as mr./mx. does.

related to that I'm excited to work with another colleague on a diversity concept for the school that focuses on queerness. our main objective will be to raise awareness in teachers and students

I still struggle to find an appropriate mix between being strict and being fun. with some classes it works well, with others I need to be stricter than I'd like to be, with others I need to ease off a bit.

schools are incredibly gendered spaces and while I obviously knew that it still caught me off guard (and tbh I think it's having an influence on my habits which I Don't Like At All). everything is very clearly divided into boys and girls. I'm generally good with gender neutral language, but compared to my first weeks I jump to use gendered terms much quicker now (example: saying "the girl in the red jumper" instead of a neutral version when I don't know their names yet), including when I talk about myself which feels weird

good quality sleep is so important. being a teacher is super demanding, especially in some more chaotic classes and showing up with only a few hours of sleep is Not It

being able to remember names really well really fast is a super power and I'm grateful I can do that every time I meet a new class for a substitute lesson. the kids are impressed (teachers too), but most importantly it creates a different atmosphere in the classroom. (it's also easier to remind them of class rules when they need it)

so far, the past months have confirmed what I've been thinking for a while: teaching is something I could do, but I'm less sure if it's what I want to do in the long run. so even though I wasn't able to start deaf studies this winter I'm sticking to my plan: try out deaf studies for a year (starting next autumn) and work on the side, then decide if a) I keep going like that to do the full deaf studies b.a. b) I pause deaf studies to do my teacher training and then evaluate again or c) I do my teacher training and pick up uni classes for fun after

I have a lot of favs and this is a very incomplete list:

Louis visits an elderly Benjamin, like if any fic would to be like filmed and added to the show this is the one I could most easily see doing it. Just mind blowing in terms of characterization and dialogue especially for a character we never see speak; made me tear up.

I almost don't wanna say anything about this one just know it's incredible in ways you won't even expect. Danlou noir propaganda is so strong actually.

How does one even describe House? Literally how does one even begin to talk about it. Choose your own path through it. Get haunted. You just gotta go in.

Pretty much THE modern Leslou au. Like. Transferring the dynamic so flawlessly and also SUCH good Claudia stuff as well.

Just gorgeous. The whole series is. Also love the way the prose itself engages with/ departs from pronoun usage in some areas: also made me tear up a bit.

You ever read something so good it kinda makes you mad. Like something that seems just like almost insulting geared to you? Yeah this is mine.

Gonna be blunt here not only is this really really incredibly written but it's super hot. Like. Chapter 2 oh my god it's not even finished yet.

Rounding this off with a must-read Claudia piece. Like goddamn.

Strip the Data, Salt the Misinfo: A Borderlands Fanbase PSA/Rant

TL;DR: The current Borderlands wiki sucks huge balls for anything after and including BL3, but it also sucks for other reasons and the best way to fix it would be just to nuke it and move on to Miraheze.

I am a huge Borderlands fan. It's my special interest, in fact. Everyone knows that. I'm quite invested in the community, though not as much as I would like to be, despite my constant attempts to garner attention in various places that are not named Tumblr. In fact, I am invested enough to frequent various sites focusing on this video game series.

And there is a major problem with one of the biggest sites dedicated to it:

The Wiki.

At first, it seems like a good place to get information regarding the series, both its gameplay and story. But you would be solely wrong.

While it does provide accurate information on the gameplay, guns, loot and boss attacks of every looter shooter entry, it is massively lacking on the story front. Especially after and during BL3.

Let's look at some examples.

This is Krieg's quote page. Not only is every single one of his BL2 quotes displayed, it's also got the audio files for all of them!

But the BL3 ones? It only transcribes the base game ECHO logs he talks in. No audio, and none of his many, many PKatFF lines.

In one of his videos, the youtuber ItzTermx compares Krieg's quote page and Fl4k's quote page in an attempt to showcase the superiority of BL2's dialogue. But in reality, Fl4k has significantly more quotes than Krieg, they are simply unlisted on the wiki. Where are they then, you may ask?

Fucking TvTropes of all places, not the main wiki.

I used the quote pages as an example, but this isn't the only case where this disparity is true. Check the wiki for yourself, and you'll see that every single BL2 and TPS quest, main or side, has a detailed transcript. What do the BL3 quests get?

This. A plain objective list.

And this is not even touching upon the incredibly incomplete - hell, MISSING Crew Challenge pages, and of course... the critical lack of lore/character information.

I will use a youtuber as an example here yet again.

This is EruptionFang's video on Wainwright Jakobs. EruptionFang is widely the most popular Borderlands lore youtuber, if not the only one that actually has a somewhat large following.

In this video, he openly says we don't know how he met Hammerlock. This is a blatant lie! We do know! An idle line in DLC 2 reveals that they met on a hunting expedition!

Of course, getting through idle lines is a slog, since you're likely to get repeats, so there must be an easier way to access this information.

Does the wiki say anything about it? No. But you know what does?

THE LOCALIZATION FILE. WHICH I DATAMINED MYSELF, BECAUSE THE WIKI IS SO INCOMPLETE.

DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW BULLSHIT THAT IS? PEOPLE USE THIS WIKI AS A RESOURCE, AND SAID RESOURCE IS VERY INADEQUATE.

You might ask: "why don't you contribute yourself, then?"

You see, the Borderlands Wiki is well, a Fandom Wiki. The site that's known for being infested with ads and autoplay videos, which are 99% of the time completely irrelevant to whatever you're viewing. There's a reason I use Breezewiki.

Fandom is awful to use, and especially difficult to browse through. It's an accessibility issue, something you definitely don't want in a place meant to provide information. I am not willing to contribute to such a place.

You might ask, then, is there an alternative?

This is Miraheze. It's ad free, community run, and non-profit. It uses the same software as Wikipedia, and provides a similar, accessible look. If this community managed to move there (and toss a coin or two to Miraheze, they're accepting donations!), we could foster a significantly more accessible environment.

I hope y'all enjoyed reading this edition of me malding over something seemingly innocuous. Before anyone asks, yes, I allow sharing of this post to other websites. The Borderlands community deserves to be aware of this.

Chapter 9 of Gideon the Ninth

It's actually hilarious that Harrow just left a whole bunch of snippy little notes for Gideon, and knew exactly where to put them/where she would look, I can't actually manage that even with snippy little notes I leave for myself. Or maybe Harrow actually left a ton of other snippy little notes that Gideon just didn't notice? I can't decide which of those ideas is better

Probably woefully incomplete list of things that Gideon doesn't know about:

Tea

Sinks

Bathtubs

NIghttime

and she describes bread as "yeast bread" which makes me wonder what the fuck kind of bread they have on Pluto usually. Do they just use baking powder? Yeast is probably hard to get on Pluto, but certainly not like, any harder than wheat, surely, and if Earth is an hour away by shuttle, you'd think it would be easy to get basic life-sustaining stuff like bread?

Also, like, I know we are doing the medieval-aesthetic-in-space thing, but like, plumbing is not advanced technology, our Middle Ages were just a bit whack like that. The fucking ancient Minoans had pressurized indoor plumbing and flush toilets, I'm just saying, it is not that difficult to make some water go down some pipes. Also, like, they clearly have non-water-based alternatives, but I don't think plumbing ever actually becomes obsolete. You kind of need it for basic sanitation stuff, any high tech replacement for it would probably cost way more and ultimately not be necessary anyway, since plumbing is not a hard problem. If the issue is just that Pluto doesn't have water... that's dumb, because Pluto needs water anyway, because water is like the #1 most incredibly basic necessity for sustaining life in any context

Gideon talks about necromancers "programming" skeletons, which instantly makes necromancy 10000% more interesting to me as a programmer. I would love to know more about how this works, but since Gideon is the narrator I suspect that will not happen. I'm guessing Harrow narrates the next book, though, so maybe then?

Ianthe really seems to love mocking her sister for being dumb, she is going to have an absolute blast with Gideon

Who the hell has twins that are both the heir to your house, and then names one of them "Corona"? This is like in the Sims 2 when the Pleasants named their twins "Angela" and "Lillith", and then were like shocked pikachu face when Lillith grew up to be the "evil" twin

Ianthe's line to Gideon sounds like a threat (if only one of the twins is a necromancer, it's definitely Ianthe), but I have no idea what she thinks Gideon has done to merit this?

Actually, since necromancy seems to be inherited, it should theoretically be possible for an heir to a house to not be a necromancer, although it seems to be implied so far that they all are, or are all assumed to be. Like, if Corona isn't a necromancer, why was she sent to First House in the first place? Are there like, necromancer squids?

Ianthe definitely doesn't have a skeletal arm yet, since Gideon would have mentioned that. I wonder how that happens?

I love when people cross over these two fandoms (I could write a literal essay on the similarities between all four of Henry, Alex, TK and Carlos - I find that most people attach Alex with TK because of their chaos demon personalities, but TK and Henry have an incredible amount of overlap, and obviously Alex and Carlos are two gorgeous Mexican Americans from Austin with skills in the kitchen and some crippling perfectionistic tendencies). We call Alex and Henry "firstprince" because Alex is the First Son of the President of the United States and Henry is...a prince lol. So the combination of the first two I guess!

As for recs. YES. Please keep in mind I only just woke up, but I'll lay out some of my favourites for you.

Professional Rivalry (my comfort fic) by the incredible @clottedcreamfudge and containing stunning art by @kidovna. Also, literally anything by CCF. She is the light of my life, the Henry to my Alex and the person that reminds me that sometimes I need to drink water and go to bed instead of reading 10 more fics.

all that glitters (is not gold) (the post-canon fic - basically required reading) by @indomitable-love.

Faster, Higher, Stronger by @everwitch-magiks (it takes a lot for me to cry in a fic, and I SOBBED (happy tears) in this one - absolute magic).

after hours by @stutteringpeach (very fun, very cute, very alex).

Hit (My Love) Out of the Park by bleedingballroomfloor (hot, perfect, was so good it made me care about baseball).

God Save the Blessed American President Mom by zipadeea (one of the first firstprince fics I ever read and it still hits so good).

to the victor, the spoils and What, like it's hard? by @rmd-writes (the lawyer AUs to end all lawyer AUs and the most delicious, sweariest Alex).

Such a Burden, This Flame on My Chest by @three-drink-amy (very relevant if you like Lone Star!!! I've not actually read this one yet - jail for me - but it's on the top of by firstprince TBR! Also, everything that this gal writes is top notch so I feel very confident in recommending).

Amigos y Migas by floatingaway4 (with art by @stardisnightarchive) (incredibly sweet and loads of yum food references).

Hook(up), Line & Sinker by a combination of some of my favourite people in the entire fandom - @clottedcreamfudge, @indomitable-love, athousandrooms, @rmd-writes, @the-amber-fox (i read this, i loved it, then @everwitch-magiks plucked me out of the oblivion and i fell in love with all of them as well).

Plies, can't you not by @the-amber-fox (i have a soft spot for this fic for well known reasons but it's also just incredibly fun and sexy).

You Remind Me of Home by athousandrooms and ifyoustay (athousandrooms doesn't write often but she does, it's fire).

AND A NO PRESSURE MAYBE - Luck of the Draw (by me) which is not my most popular fic, but I think it's the most fun.
