GOJO SATORU. honestly, i can see him taking interest in someone sweet and shy. i feel like he will gush over you a lot, he loves seeing your shy nature — he finds you really, really, really cute. so he can't help but poke teases at you sometimes knowing you can do nothing but to go along with it.

gojo first met you when you helped an abandoned kitten at the back of campus. he was out to find a place to relax and he saw you tending to a ginger colored kitten, feeding it and holding it like it's the most fragile being in the world. from that day on, he settled his interest in you.

he watched you caress the kitten full of love, mumbling out incoherent words and feeding it back to life. and when you left the kitten inside the box you made for it, gojo approached the feline. smiling out, intrigued.

gojo found himself asking people about you. geto, shoko, anyone and every single time he asked, their answers are just too basic, such as "oh, y/n..i know her, she doesn't talk much. seems rather shy, but she's really nice." or a "y/n? she's the nicest person i know". he needed to know more about you (but was forgetting the fact that he was doing nothing to know more about you but ask people), until shoko told him he should just talk to you.

here's the thing. who wouldn't know about a white haired male, with the most alluring blue eyes, is smart, popular, and practically one whole package?

gojo was actually (genuinely) surprised when you recognized him. it was like any other day, you were playing with the same ginger feline and you took notice of him and just went, "gojo, can i help you?"

i swore he felt like he was on cloud nine. every day gojo and you would meet up in the same place without any compromising— the two of you just decided that the back of your campus was that place. and every single day he gets to meet you, gojo falls in love deeper.

and so one day, he just casually asks you to be his girlfriend while you were playing with the ginger who the both of you named as "butter". and you looked at him with the (possibly) reddest face you could muster out. but accepted him nonetheless.

today, he's still in love as ever. gojo sometimes wondered how someone— a sweetheart— like you accepted to be his girlfriend. he gushes over you like a kid and takes pictures and videos of you doing random things (his phone is your own personal camera). gojo spoils you a lot (he's rich rich) so if he sees something that reminded him of you, just know that he won't think twice before buying it for you.

he's such a lovesick puppy that it's concerning sometimes.

most of the time you'd tell him he doesn't need to do all that, but he insisted and gets pouty if you don't accept the gifts he got for you. he loves his sweetheart girlfriend so much people get jealous of you.

SUKUNA RYOMEN. sukuna? having a girlfriend? i feel like he's fucking boisterous and annoying when it comes to women. he's probably one of those confident star athlete at campus who always make the team every season, and is never enough with one woman.

until he met you.

sukuna never understood the concept of "love" until he finds himself a mess in front of you, until he finds himself thinking about you in his games, until he gets jealous over people hitting on you, until he finds himself looking for you amidst the crowd, until he finds himself stop trying to hook up with random girls after his games.

please help him, he's so confused with this new feeling that he initially thought he was sick and needed help. he's never really talked to you outside of lectures— sukuna who usually skips out on a lot of lectures, suddenly attended them just so he could talk to you more and get to know you more.

"ya' new here?" obviously not, sukuna just didn't know how to start a conversation with you.

it's not like he hasn't done some research about you yet, he's asked his teammates, and them telling him that you were such a sweetheart that they couldn't even have the heart to hit on you.

"oh. um..no." you tell him, not even engaging in an eye contact.

he finds you really cute, but he of course, wouldn't admit that. so he just tried poking fun at you as a form of comfort (kind of like a love language). it shocked his professors that sukuna began popping in time for lectures and is never missing out on any, when in fact he was just there for you.

most of the time, sukuna and you would talk in lectures. out of there? sukuna would be with his friends most of the time, but it doesn't mean he wasn't looking for you in every turn he goes. and in every games, he would try looking for you to see if you came to support the team (him) or not, and gets really unmotivated when he can't find you.

so one day, he just—

"you should come see me play." he's straightforward alright, and he will do anything to get you to watch him play (he wanted to show off).

and you actually showed up just at the last second of his last season playoffs, and boy oh boy, he destroyed the other team (even his own teammates were surprised). he enjoyed that game most out of every other games, simply because you were there to watch him win. he felt satisfied.

you were the first person he approached after the game. and sukuna just settled that he couldn't wait longer, he just had to make you his that very second. and you accepted.

sukuna who usually messes with woman, settled for you and changed for you. he promised himself he wouldn't be able to forgive himself if he hurts you, he just hated the thought of it (but still won't admit that).

he loves how shy you still get when he grabs your hand out of the blue, caresses your face full of love, plants soft kisses on your face, hell even as simple as complimenting you. but those are the things he love about you— and how you never judged him for anything but saw the best in him when everyone could probably agree with him being the biggest asshole (before he met you).

he's just so lovesick and dedicated to you. and p.s he puts you as his wallpaper, and i feel like he probably has a private twitter or instagram account just to post about you and fangirl over you although he acts like it doesn't bother him. one time you sent him a picture of you smiling with your usual peace sign, he had to step away from his phone for a bit and began air boxing (he saved every pictures you sent him and posts them in his private account with the cheesiest captions and hundred amounts of emoji smashes), he swore it would be the death of him if you find out about his accounts.

even with all that, all he would send as a reply would just be as simple as, "cute."

CHOSO. lord, help this baby— he's clueless to his feelings. and i feel like choso would be very confused about his own feelings that he had to ask yuuji about why he was feeling like that. yuuji is like his own personal relationship helper.

i feel like choso is popular in campus, but he doesn't know he's popular so he just accepts whatever people do and give to him as a sign of friendship. until one day he bumps into you, and you dropped your books, sounds cliche but it actually happened.

and choso helped you by grabbing a few fallen books, handing it to you. when you looked up to thank him properly, choso didn't know what to say or do. he just felt odd. like his heart's beating so fast that he can't help but to clutch on his white colored hoodie.

"thank you.." you bowed your head down in appreciation, and then left just before he could say anything.

choso blinked feverishly and wondered if he had caught the flu, so when he met up with yuuji, he went, "i think i'm sick."

when yuuji asked why, choso explained everything that happened, not forgetting to add a little cherry on top by saying, "i think that girl i bumped into gave me the flu."

yuuji laughs out loudly, almost crying. and choso is just there, wondering if what he said was that funny to yuuji, and to drive him further into his confusion, yuuji told him that it's probably a little crush.

"how can i crush someone i just met?" choso asks.

"it just happens, i guess. like an airport crush, ever heard of em'?" that day began choso's education on love.

for a few weeks, yuuji had to teach him everything about his feelings. and to confirm choso's crush on you, the two of them bumped into you one day (thank the heavens), and choso was quick to your aid when yuuji was the only person to slip and fall, while you were standing well with no harm done.

yuuji then understood about choso's little huge crush on you, even yuuji thought you were such a sweetheart he couldn't help but to gush a little over you— until choso stared at him, brows furrowed in jealousy.

"i don't like her like that, don't worry...i just find her to be such a sweetheart!"

choso was relieved when yuuji said that. then after that began yuuji's plan on trying to get choso and you together— which consisted in silly little and cliche pranks, such as sending a text to you then saying that he got the wrong person. or pressing the call button then saying he pressed it by accident.

you had to be honest, you went along with it, sometimes even holding up the call up to a few seconds just to hear both yuuji and choso talking in the background about how the plan isn't working.

well, they thought wrong. it worked.

yuuji honestly gave up midway and just handed it to choso to do whatever he wants to, so choso just comes up to you one day in front of yuuji too and straight up told you that he likes you. and yuuji has never felt so shocked in his life that everything would have ended if he told choso to do whatever the guy wants to earlier (yuuji thought choso was too pussy to do it).

and you accepted.

it was like a double kill for yuuji that day, but nonetheless he was happy for both you and choso.

still going strong after two years, choso still has the same amount of love and admiration for you (if not, even more). he still thinks you're such a sweetheart and he can't help but to get overprotective of you whenever you both go out. he's so proud of having you by his side, and is probably the type of boyfriend to spoil his girlfriend rotten but doesn't realize he's spoiling her.

"cho, too much." you tell him, a little nervous upon seeing how many plates of dessert he ordered.

"you love desserts," he said the obvious.

"i do, thank you," you didn't have the heart to tell him that it was probably too much for you, which proves how much of a sweetheart you are and you ended up finishing them all with his help, "that was great, maybe not so much in the future?"

So I started to get all the information I could about femme fatales and these are the most popular tips I've tried:

I think this one it's not exclusive about FemF it's something that every girl should do. It's really simple: if they really want you they'll move mountains for you, and girl, don't even think it's because you set your standards too high because it's the bare minimum. I'm talking about superficial things like physical appearance, fame, money, properties, cars, luxury lifestyle, etc. Please I know everyone loves money but believe me when I say it doesn't get you anywhere mentally if you don't have your shit together, don't let desire for rich appearances guide you to shitty men just because they can provide money. You should be able to afford your things so you don't have to be waiting for a man like a poor dog.

My experience: Girl I'm going to spill some tea about this one. I had two famous men asking me on a date, one of them I no longer speak to him and the other one is currently pursuing me like crazy just because he saw I was not amused about the luxury things he was bragging. We're friends for now because I don't trust him lol but he tries every now and then to ask me on a date. Girl trust me it's not that rare to get that type of men, almost every friend of mine has been pursued by a man in power.

Back with more things I think are canon in Charlie's and his ange's friendship.

If he is out with her and anyone tries flirting with her he gets rid of them immediatly (even if lando and oscar are nit there he has got their backs)

One time Angel really can't attend the gp because she really has to be at uni so Charles goes to landoscars room and practically forces them to do masks with him because Angel's not there to do it. After they send her cute selfies of all 3 of them with masks on.

He helps her get more comfy with sexuality. In the sense of maybe when lando and oscar bring something new up and she gets shy abt it, she can't help but overthink abt that and Charles can tell smth is up so in the end she confides in him and he helps her understand that trying things it's ok and that she knows that they would stop the moment she says she doesn't like smth.

In the begining angel was getting quite a lot of hate for her closeness with Charles, we all know how fangirls are but he immediatly cut it all out and made a statement on how he will take action against anyone and everyone that has smth bad to say abt her.

He is one of the few people she is comfortable to let be touchy with her besides her boyfriends( like even when she gets into one of her headspaces)

They don't fight! Nope! Charles will not allow and can't stand to see her sad so they don't fight (also he finds anything she does perfect so why would they even fight)

When exams are coming up for her he does little cards with questions related to the subject she has to study and quizes her (he has no ideea what the questins or answers even mean but she is responding accordingly so he is amazed at his little genius friend)

Gets her a pair of custom made pants just like his (we all know what pants I am reffering) and then she styles an outfit for both of them that includes the pants so they can take photos togheter.

His phone is full of candid photos of her.

As he can't cook she almost always invites him to join her and Landoscar for dinner since she learned to cook things that fit their diets.

At the Monaco GP angel is wearing his number all race weekend, is always by his side, hypes him up and cheers for him( Lando and Oscar also are really supportive and wish their friend to win his home race even tho they are and need to be more lowkey abt it due to media duties)

She is just sunshine and he is sunshine protector

i love the idea of angel trying to get charles a gf so they’re going out to clubs in monaco and she’s pointing out pretty girls that are his type. every time he leaves her alone some guy tries flirting with him, to the point he starts bringing her with him to flirt so no one will approach her. the women he flirts with sometimes find it annoying when he approaches with a woman and expects a threesome proposal, and then he’s like “sorry my friend will be harassed if i leave her alone so she is my wingwoman” and they’re endeared by his protectiveness over her and instantly like him, plus he’s hot as hell and his voice is like honey. so they don’t mind a little extra company, especially when the woman isn’t even flirting with him, like he’s arguably the hottest guy in the club and she has no interest. plus angel hyping him the hell up to any woman they talk to when charles leaves to fetch drinks.

angel being asleep while they’re doing face masks so she wakes up to the images and responds with a video of her getting ready for the day, from skin care routine to picking out her outfit, making breakfast.

after the first time they talk about sex and angel realizes she can trust him, she goes to him a lot to ask if he’s ever done it and what it was like, especially if her boyfriends haven’t. she doesn’t like going into things blind, she seeks knowledge about everything and that doesn’t include her boyfriend’s ideas. he always reassures her that they love her too much to hurt her and she has safe words for a reason and she should never be afraid of using them. charles tells her about his hookups or past relationships to reassure her of trying new things. charles is perfect at reassuring her of anything.

charles will defend angel to the ends of the earth!! it’s part of why oscar and lando like him so much, because anyone else might enjoy the rumors but he’s quick to stomp them out.

charles deffo gives great hugs and the best cuddles, he’s her go-to person for comfort when her bfs aren’t there. he’s always petting her hair or her back when they cuddle. she’d ask him to tell her fairytales when she wants to lay on him for a nap, he’d be all smiley and cute like “oh you want a bedtime story for your nap? okay mon ange. my maman told me this one all the time as a kid.”

angel and charles never have disagreements, if they do have any, it’s definitely over fashion and they agree to disagree or charles agrees with angel only because she has a better fashion record than he so he trusts her more.

he’s trying to pronounce the words on the flashcards and is stumbling over the big ones and she finishes the word and answers the question and he’s just like, “how’d you know what i was trying to say? i butchered that.”

she knits them matching tops that go with the pants!!

lets be honest they both have sm candids of each other and if she has social media which i think as a fashion girlie she needs to, she posts charles in every photo dump and vice versa.

she has an entire cookbook of tried and true recipes that she found and altered to fit their diets and every night that isn’t a date night charles is at their house for dinner. he brings wine and dessert and good conversation every time. after people find out about the food she cooks from the three men talking about it constantly, it turns into dinners party with a rotating guest book. they do them once a week when they’re home, and throughout the year when they can make time to get home and host. depending on who is in town, there’s different people. charles is at almost all of them. fans love them bc they get fed sm content from peoples photo dumps from the night.

lando and oscar getting second and third to charles’s win in monaco and she’s waiting with his team to congratulate him, lando and charles are confused where their gf is until they see her being hauled over the barrier by charles and they’re running over to his team to get their gf. mclaren team wanting to congratulate their boys but they want their girlfriends praise more.

so i want (finally after months of this sitting in my drafts) to say some things about dana winters-drake, because she, along with jack and janet fascinate me. and i'm going to preface this and say: yes, i know she was created and written by terrible sexist writers, a lot of her more negative traits are because terrible sexist writers don't understand or care about how to write women and write them as laughably wtf, and none of what i'm saying means that i think she deserved her ultimate fate (she definitely did not, and i am mad about it). but! she is more complex than just a generic good mom and she has some really interesting negative characteristics to me. and i'm gonna put this under a read more, because this is probably going to get long

#1 dana as the worst physical therapist in the world:

so i'm going to start with my main point of contention(? i don't know, maybe not that strong) with her: her introduction. she's introduced as jack's physical therapist, and i will not lie, this comes very, very close to absolutely ruining her completely for me and the only reason is doesn't is because i'm aware of who created her, so it's not her fault. i'm am absolutely biased about this, i will admit it. i find this personally abhorrent on every level due to personal reasons, and there is no way anyone will ever convince me that this is not that bad. there is no situation in which dana is not a total monster for this. and i am correct about this. i promise you i can argue every "but" you have about it. i'm sorry. (unless, of course, your argument is 'but this is comics and we don't ascribe that much real life morality to comics', in which case: fair. that's true.)

because i want to make it clear: jack sucks, but dana is the one in the wrong here when it comes to them getting in a relationship. i see a lot of "but she was way younger than him" kind of framing her as an innocent young ingenue to jack's older, predatory ways and i'm over here like...that's not how this works at all.

because dana was the professional in the patient-provider relationship. jack shouldn't have been weird or flirty with her, absolutely, please don't harass your health care professionals (but it also tracks! a survey of physical therapists showed that 84% reported being sexually harassed at work from a patient during their career. so yes, of course jack, a man in his 40s-50s would absolutely try to flirt with his PT, 100%) but the thing is...there's nothing actually stopping jack from trying to flirt with his PT. it's annoying and he shouldn't, but there's no laws against it. dana is the one who has the moral, legal, and ethical obligation to maintain a solely professional relationship with jack (yes, even if she is younger than him-also, i promise you, she was at least 24-25 even being introduced in the 90s. at that time physical therapy was largely a master's program following a 4 year bachelor program. she has a fully developed frontal lobe. she's old enough to know her responsibilities. you don't graduate from school for physical therapy or any other rehabilitation job knowing anything but getting with a patient is the #1 no-no, go directly to jail, do not pass go, etc). she is the healthcare provider in this relationship. jack can flirt with her until the cows come home and it's her responsibility to shut him down every time.

because!! there's a little thing called a practice act. it governs what a licensed professional is and isn't allowed to do. and look, i found new jersey's. highlighted just for you. no amount of ~but they're in love~ will help here. no excuses dana!!

i just live in a world where she loses her license to practice after she gets together with jack, okay. like, tbf, she doesn't get shown actually going on dates with jack until after he can walk again in robin #15, but this is nowhere near at least 3 months after he's done with his rehab. like. it's heavily implied that their relationship basically started while she was actively treating him. like. is he even done with his rehab at this point? he mentions he's almost there wrt his walking so is she still his physical therapist? it's never made clear when she stops. dana starts sleeping with him a few issues after this, so god, i hope so.

anyways, even if she had waited three months after terminating their patient-provider relationship, there's various other reasons why her choosing to get together with jack at all after being his physical therapist is a little morally sus even if technically legal. because here's a list of things that dana would technically probably have access to/know about jack as her patient:

does jack have erectile dysfunction issues as a result of his neurologic damage from the poison? she has access to his medications, so she knows.

does jack have depression/other mental health issues from the loss of his wife/is he getting therapy/is he on anti-depressants? it's probably in his chart as a part of coordination of care. is that mental health stuff relevant to his care at all? in this case probably, given the fact that his quadriplegia is wrapped up in the incident that also murdered his wife.

has she worked with jack at all about modifying sexual positions on account of his impairments? pts will discuss this with patients if it's relevant to their care. they actually learn in school on how to educate patients with quadriplegia on how they might have to modify their intimacy with their partners in case it's relevant to care.

patients tend to confide in their PTs a lot. a lot. since they tend to see their rehab providers a lot more than other providers, patients are far more likely to confide a lot of really personal stuff to them because of the rapport/trust that builds between them over time. has jack cried over janet in his sessions with dana? has jack talked about his insecurities about how things will never be the same for him or his mobility and how that makes him feel? has he discussed his frustration at his progress or lack thereof? i cannot stress how much dana has probably gotten to know jack over the course of their rehab together, really sensitive stuff, and then to turn around and get into a relationship with a patient after having been entrusted with that sensitive information about them? would be extremely sus on the part of that provider. would you feel comfortable if that was your dad? you shouldn't.

like, this is fundamentally a very intimate and delicate patient case given everything that jack has been through. which makes it even more important that a clear line of professionalism is drawn and maintained. and dana didn't do that, clearly.

#2. dana prioritizes her position as jack's partner over her position tim's "mom"

now, i don't think this is a bad thing, necessarily! she is, after all, tim's step-mom and she made it clear from the beginning she had no intention of taking tim's mom's place. and she and tim do see each other as family and clearly care about each other. i think she's a very good step-mom, actually! she's willing to listen to tim and she tries to be a mediator between him and his dad/advocate for tim.

that being said, she almost always will capitulate to jack's position in the end. she might try to get jack to ease up, but she never really actively fights against jack's final decision on what to do with tim. remember the tv ripping out of the wall incident? in robin #45?

this happens after dana came in and talked to tim and said she'll talk to his dad about jack hearing out tim's side of the ariana story. she does, because jack comes in hoping to talk things out and when tim is ignoring him he does this lovely move. so what does this have to do with dana? well here's the thing: dana is still only dating jack at this point. she's not married to him, she can leave at any time. if she's over at their house, there's no way she missed this happening. did she wonder why jack came back from his talk with tim with tim's tv at all? did she shrug it off when she heard him start screaming at tim (remember, drake manor is big but it's not that big)? she clearly accepted that jack grounded tim for weeks after this. she's clearly not opposed to staying in a relationship with a man who would do this to his son. which says something about her. no matter how awful jack treats tim (in front of her even) she maintains a very harmonious relationship with the man and continues to want to be in a relationship with him, so as much as she might try to surface disapprove of jack's treatment of tim, in the end she'll shrug and accept it because she won't implode her relationship with jack over his treatment of tim. she definitely prioritizes her place as jack's partner. see robin #66, jack yelling at tim for running away back to gotham city right in front of dana. she's still not married to him!! this could be a deal breaker for her and it's not!!

here's her being clearly fine and going with jack on a vacation to blizzard central chicago, il right before the holidays in the dcu holiday bash iii.

here she is being more concerned about when jack is going to ask her to marry him when he's sending tim to boarding school as punishment for no man's land in robin #74:

like none of this is mutually exclusive with her being a pretty nice step-mom to tim. just that is she's okay and is a person who wants to be in a very good relationship with jack drake, she has to be someone who accepts jack's treatment of tim. she doesn't want to actually rock the boat with jack in a way that would actually jeopardize her relationship with him, as much as she tries to soften his treatment of tim.

she's clearly okay with jack just calling tim in robin #78 to tell him they're getting married. she's popping toasting to celebrate as he does this. she never said, hey jack, maybe we should tell tim in person?

#3. dana is kind of judgemental about tim's girlfriends in defense of tim/lowkey a little sexist and she's a fair representation of a republican woman.

now, this one is fair to ignore because it was written mainly by dixon and willingham, but also the sexist things she's said/implies about them is actually fairly realistic imo because the republican older women i know have said things along the vein of things dana has said. in robin #45 she says this weird thing about ariana

by saying she is implying that she knows that ariana is actually the one at fault for this entire mess and tim has to protect her reputation and saying that ariana would have a "reputation" if it came out that she was actually the one at fault. which. maybe in the 90s, but also this is a very old, conservative viewpoint on women so.

and then in robin #124 where she defaults to blaming stephanie for corrupting tim (also, she's like "jack we shouldn't do this" but then. like. doesn't actually fight him and stop him from doing this she let's him do this. then is like sigh, guess i'll make tim's favorite lasagna rather than actually fight and stop jack from doing this).

which yea, willingham. but given that dana has defaulted to defending tim over his girlfriends in the past re: ariana, i actually think it's quite in line for a more conservative woman like dana to be super nice to their son's girlfriends up until their son potentially looks bad and then immediately turning their backs on them because or the idea that their sons ~could never~. like. i hear the following things from conservative women at least 3x/week (paraphrased):

oh, well, girls you know. they're so much more drama than boys.

my boys were so easy, but my daughter? oh god, i can't even begin with her

girls are so catty. boys are so much easier to deal with.

my son has this girlfriend. i just. i. hmmm. i just don't know about her. she's. she's. she's okay, i guess. i have some concerns.

as for how i know she's a conservative woman? she's happily and harmoniously married to jack and she's a PT in bristol township. i am 110% certain she's a registered republican. with her moral ambiguity and slighy sexism she reads as a fairly realistic conservative to me.

anyways in conclusion, i think she's actually a lot more complex than just generic good step-mom! she has a lot of failures and negative characteristics that makes her more interesting to me than just good sainted woman who puts up with jack and tim. she has her own faults. we do have to remember that she had a very good relationship with jack and saw how he treated tim and was largely okay with it. maybe jack was someone she thought she could change. maybe she agreed with him on a lot of things. jack and dana have the harmonious relationship that fandom wants jack and janet (a very volatile and ultimately ill-matched relationship) to have had!

anyways here's one final panel from robin #100 of dana saying that tim could just get a job and help out with the family finances after jack lost the company that i couldn't think of where else to put it (like, she's probably joking. but clearly this is something both she and jack find funny to joke about.)

this is gonna be a long rant but it's bothered me for a while

(non-ed related)

and any thoughts are welcome but it's mostly a rant

so basically i dont have a lot of girlfriends. i never have, all the ones i got close to generally either betrayed me in the worst ways or we moved and lost touch. (betrayal backstories is a whole other rant, but it's nauseating the way ive been treated by women who claimed to love me) so most of my friends are dudes, in fact, both of my true besties are.

anyway, i have really one solid girlfriend and shes a good bit younger than me. she also dont have a lot of friends in general, she has me and a small handful of others. she regards me as her bestie, i kind of guess shes mine but like...idk. i view her more like a younger sister, i guess.

so basically, she copies EVERYTHING i fucking do, within her means. like, before her and i were close, she just dressed pretty normal, no notable flavor or style. but now shes trying so hard to be goth bc i am. she cut her hair how mine used to be, dyed it black bc mine is, got all of the same piercings as me, yall get it. i wish i was exaggerating but im really not. even her mom messaged me to tell me she bases her style off me and shes glad im not a "greasy goth" (lol??)

but it's infuriating. i know i didnt invent goth. im not the first to have the piercings, hair, outfits, and interests i do...but it's really annoying to have someone base their entire style and interests off of me bc i have worked hard to curate myself as a person. i work hard for my aesthetic, im pretty thoughtful in my planning for outfits, how i decorated my home, everything, but especially bc these are genuine interests ive had since i was a preteen...and it's just so irksome to have someone try to imitate it as closely as possible every single day without any real, concrete interest in any of it, outside of prob just tryna be relatable to me

and a few weeks ago we got on the topic of sexuality and how im pan and have had gfs etc now shes magically also bisexual. she told me she got "tricked" by a straight girl recently but caught an attitude with me bc i told her if there wasnt clear intentions by both parties, she wasnt tricked, bc there was no flirting/romantic intent and that being bi/pan talking to straight women (or even other bi/pan wonen) doesn't automatically garner a romantic response. she didnt like that and got really snappy with me, but im not wrong. she tried to say she thought she was going on a date, but she was literally going to another friend's house to watch rupaul, and the other girl was also coming over, she sent me screenshots of the convo and like.....yeah, no, 1000% on her for thinking anything of it. she just picked said girl bc she was friends with her other friend and I guess it was an easy shot, but she also overlooked homegirl having a whole man too so like????? bro hello.

and i dont necessarily wanna be super confrontational about the aesthetic thing bc that just feels so middle school drama sToP cOpYiNg Me energy but it grates my skin...especially too bc like she also gets a little grumpy when she asks where my clothes are from and a lot of places i shop dont carry her size (shes a 3X or a 4X; ive never really looked or cared to see who carries what size bc im an xs so why would i??) and thats somehow my fault bc she cant buy the same shit i wear...or she complains she cant afford the docs or demonias etc like i have and its like okay curate your own damn style that you can afford bc like???? im not your fucking barbie doll mannequin?????

Whole different type of delusion that I see in this fandom is how helaemond shippers act. All they say is everyone should support Helaena cheating on her unfaithful husband because if you someone doesn't, it's misogynistic, but when you mention Alicent having sex with Criston in season 2 they are furious and say Alicent is not Rhaenyra to sleep around 😂

For them it's like helaemond makes sense because Helaena was smarter than Rhaenyra so no one knew Aemond's the father.

And then when you point out they behave exactly like daemyra stans they are surprised 😂

I knew Alys will be hated in fandom because of 2 things. By Blacks because she was better Queen at Harrenhall than Rhaenyra was for 6 months time and Alys have no supporters and no dragon and no Aemond by her side because he was dead then. And by Greens because she is the opposite of Alicent and Helaena who are stuck and doomed and living in the cage.

But the one truly doomed is in fact Alys. She is lowborn bastard and women, so she means nothing and can be used by her family as they please. And yet she survives and makes the best out of Dance. All without any political machinations, she just took power over Harrenhall and no one took it away from her. If this isn't the best character of this show I don't know who may be.

I think in general people in this fandom, and this is something I must remind myself as well, need to program their brains to stop relating every single thing that happens to a woman in this story to a man. Especially romantically

It is pretty clear that one major point at the base of hotd is patriarchy and how way men often use the girls/women in their lives as pawns or martyrs. Whether people think it was well done or not is their choice, but it is clearly there. That conversation I get, and think we need to have. But the way people are so hellbent on ‘pairing’ women in this story with someone, specifically men, can get exhausting.

Why is the most horrid thing that happens in the dance, something that fundamentally breaks Helaena as a person turned into an argument to either uplift/tear down Aegon or Aemond?? Why is her taking her own life out of grief and fear about her brother(s)???

Why does Alicent, someone who clearly has been through sexual trauma in her life at the hands of men - someone who already has creepy psychosexual relationships with men in her life, have to sleep with criston?? Hell, why does criston someone that’s been taken advantage of by nobility (depending on how you read that scene in ep 4) have to sleep with Alicent, his queen???

If Helaena wants to be unfaithful to her husband, I will support her bc Aegon is not a good husband lmao. But the idea she needs to be with her brother, and he had those kids with her is… very odd to me. I don’t see it and idc if that makes me a hater. In general, I think people’s insistence on taking one of the few targ characters that doesn’t have incest as a major footnote in his story (Aemond) and making him into someone he isn’t, is annoying.

People (rightfully) point out how horrible targaryen girls/women are treated but then perpetuate the one thing that has led to many targ women’s downfall: The idea that they are property to the men in their family.

As for alys, she was going to be hated on several reasons : 1. Ageism (people call show and book Alicent a hag despite show Alicent being in her 30s and book Alicent being in her 40s). 2. The fact that aemond is now the fandom fanfic bike aka he gets ridden/shipped with everyone and him having a canon love interest pisses people off. 3. Low born or bastard born women get treated very differently by the fanbase than their male counterparts. 4. The murky relationship between her and Aemond. Now as someone who is excited to see where they take alysmond, even I can understand why people may put off by it. First you have the age difference on the side of her taking advantage of him. Especially now that in the show it has been implied Aemond delt with his own s.a. But by the time they meet, Aemond is Prince Regent. Clearly in a position of power over her. It is dubious and it’s ok to point that out.

But I’m sure as hell not gonna be reprimanded by daemrya or helaemond shippers on that. They clearly don’t give a shit about what is above board 💀💀. At at the very least, every alysmond shipper I’ve personally come across is very open and clear about alys and Aemond’s relationship, and the possible stipulations. I can’t say the same for the other two camps.

Every woman in this story, nobility or low born, has been through shit. That’s the whole point and the bitch of patriarchy. It affects every woman to a certain degree. Of course someone like Rhaenyra or Alicent has lived a very different life than Alys, and that needs to pointed out. All women are not on equal playing field. But all of them have been trapped or stuck at one point or another. How these women maneuver this world is important because of how differently each live, which is why it is dumb when people advocate for their stories to be cut (Sara, nettles, alys). These characters being vehemently hated by ANYONE is weird asf to me.

I enjoy team green, I write for team green, but people take this ‘team’ stuff too seriously sometimes. Well.. when it comes to the women. The male characters can get it lmao. I personally don’t like the rhetoric around how most women in story get spoken about. People are so focused on whose winning or shipping that the point of the story gets lost. And frankly regurgitating the same points and arguments sucks the fun out a show…shame. If people hate everything about it or have to make up crazy theories for it to work… just don’t watch 🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️

One thing I hate about many SNS fics (obviously not all, but too many) is how they suck up to Sakura and Hinata. Hinata is always some sweet girl Sasuke is unfair to, and Sakura is voice of reason bestfriend girlboss (Sakura = voice of reason = lmao). I also hate when they write Naruto and Sasuke fuck them.

A lot of very popular SNS fic writers wrote Sakura and Hinata as good women, interesting women, smart women, strong women, desirable women, women who deserve 'justice' or 'reparation'. Sakura will never be fit to become hokage, she sucks. There. Lol. Sakura is the best friend/wingman of the boys, especially Naruto. Sakura as a wingman of Naruto. Lol. It's clear they can't write Sakura in character because they don't know her character. And if anyone tries to please their readers by writing something they don't believe in, but write it anyway and hence tarnish Naruto and Sasuke's characters and gay narratives as a result, well it's their problem and it will be pointed out. Not having a strong belief system or self respect is one of the major character traits of both Sakura and Hinata. Lol. I mean this only if they are claiming to be canon compliant and shit. That's when it's annoying. Otherwise, fans write all sorts of stuff, it's meant for comfort and pleasure mainly. It cannot be looked at from the lens of a genuine story enthusiast. And yes, it does involve a lot of cruel misrepresentation, but well, it's a fandom, it's a murky area to be hardlining.

However, good thing is, fanfic space has a built in tag system which facilitates people to find their interests. But it is misused and how. Damn. Like I am sorry, just being anti someone does not mean you get the character right. A lot of SNS fans do Sakura slander based on headcanons which is not fair. But they are also rare in comparison to what NH and SS fans do, and at what scale.

I have almost stopped with fanfics. No matter how much I filter, it doesn't matter. Many 'genuine' SNS tags are smokescreens for terrible writing and worse characterisation. Lots of popular SNS, NS authors are just plain wrong about Naruto and Sasuke's characterisations. One of them thinks Naruto is Hinata apparently, who cannot finish a sentence to Sasuke without saying um and rubbing the back of his neck like a thousand times. Seriously, on every page, it's ridiculous. The other one thinks Sakura buttfucked Sasuke and they are friends. Oh and sometimes, Sakura is lesbian. Sometimes with Ino, another super straight girl. Talk about a cheap and uninspired escape. Grabbing the low hanging fruit is always easier. Heh.

I used to tolerate it before. I can't give a shit anymore. I don't care who I offend. There are enough fans in SNS fandom whose understanding of both Sasuke and Naruto leaves much to be desired. The more time spent in Naruto fandom only makes you more cynical of people's attitudes towards media and homosexuality. Lol, sometimes it looks like the dark ages here. The filth..

Naruto is special. It's a personal affront to me when my boys or by association, Sakura and Hinata are mischaracterized. By anyone. Shit is wrong on many levels. It's bad. So I have stopped going there. Most of them are straight people writing gay characters and narratives without having any idea how it even works in their given universe. Not worth it.

General and dating Paul tlb head cannons

Ok if I'm being honest Paul is one of my favorite boys. He's just such a baby girl and I love him so much holy shit. I'm probably gonna do this for David too. Also requests and match ups are back open and I'm writing for the candy man now.

Warnings: None I can think of

General head cannons

He was turned in the 60's at or shortly after woodstock. He was a total hippie. He was super high the entire time and got mad bitches. Probably met Marko and made out with him after like five minutes of knowing each other.

His hair was long at the time and he just kept growing it out. He obviously had it cut from time to time but he always kept it long.

Knows how to play the harmonica and can play a few songs on the guitar too.

He washes his hair once a week and keeps it down like that once a week too but for the rest of the week he teases it and sprays an ungodly amount of hairspray into his hair. If you squeezed it, it would sound like someone bit a pretzel.

Also a fan of girly music (Again women artists or artists popular with girls) and one time got into and intense fight with David about how the Beatles are a boy band. The fight go so bad the two went a month without talking to each other.

His little nest area has a ton of posters in it that he probably stole from someone or a booth at the boardwalk.

He annoys the other boys a lot. Like a lot. He makes really dumb jokes all the time and doesn't know when to shut up and doesn't know when he's actually annoying the other boys so he keep going (totally not a self insert. I totally don't do this all the time with family)

Second big brother to Laddie. If Dwayne is busy or Laddie's just mad at him he goes to Paul. Paul definetly calls Laddie "Little man". He also calls Marko "Little man" because he's short.

Is the biggest pussy when Marko brings around animals he's not used to. Birds, cats and 'reasonably sized' dogs are fine. But when Marko brought in a great dane one time and a raccoon the other time Paul refused to leave his nest until they left. I laugh about thinking about Marko bringing in a horse and Paul just groaning as he leaves. (But honestly I'm a little scared of being around horses too ngl)

Relationship head cannons

Main love language is gift giving so he'll be winning you a lot of prizes from games and stealing buying you a ton of stuff you want.

Sucks at flirting. Like he just sucks so bad at it. Like he'd mix up all his pick up lines together, "If I had a nickle for every time I saw someone as beautiful as you I'd give you a dollar. Wait shit no let me start over."

But this doesn't stop him from getting you interested. He acts like it was on purpose the entire time.

Loves listening to music with you. Like explaining music to you and telling you about how he saw this band live and how he met so and so once and stuff like that. If you have good music taste he's even more in love with you.

He will not admit it but he would love if you washed out his hair for him and brushed it out. He washes his hair seperately from himself because of all the hairspray. Like if you help him wash it out and brush it and take care of it, he's gonna be so down bad man. He would adore that.

Will try to impress you by showing off. He'll like do something really dumb then will beam when you compliment him on it.

Will also make you songs and sing to you. He'll deacate a song to you and buy it on cassette and vinyl. He'll listen to it every day and always think of you while he does.

Would also love cuddling with you while listening to music. Will mouth the words or straight up sing them while holding onto you.

Would love to go on a concert date if you could ever swing that for him.

1. At the beginning of Book 1, Sokka is sexist, cautious, and constantly trying to fill the position his father left behind, taking care of both the village and his younger sister and grandmother.

And he may be dumb, but he is not stupid.

He won't be the warrior he became in Book 3 yet, of course, but he was smart enough to manage to - at least - hit Zuko with his boomerang, whether accidentally or not. That was one of the many scenes I expected to see that never came.

And as far as I can remember, in the original he was protecting his people from the Fire Nation, not explicitly Aang, of whom he was always wary and only agreed to help him because he couldn't let Katara go alone with someone they have barely known. However, in the show, he just agrees to help him for no reason at all?

I was waiting for the "Yip, yip" scene, another of Sokka's iconic ones. You know I was once again left disappointed.

And do you know what other scenes we didn't get? Him trying to eat Momo. Completely left out. The scene where they make him dress up as a Kyoshi warrior too.

I've only seen up to the beginning of episode 4, but the scenes on Kyoshi Island left me (once again) feeling disappointed. I remember he had a little bit of a crush on Suki, but not so much to the point of physical contact and *lovey dovey* eyes like in the Netflix show. He's literally going to have a girlfriend in the next episodes.

And by the way: Sokka's lack of sexism ruined the character development he had in the first episodes of the original show, where upon meeting the Kyoshi warriors he realized that women could be stronger and much more powerful than he thought.

2. I have very little to say about Katara because she barely has anything to offer in new show. I've never heard her talk about her mother even though in the original she took every chance she got to talk about her or simply to mention about her hatred for the Fire Nation. In fact, she and Sokka haven't even mentioned their parents yet and I'm in episode four.

She doesn't even have that motherly attitude that always got on my nerves in the original, nor is she having the same struggles with her waterbending. I find her boring and I don't even understand why she's interested in Aang when they've barely known each other.

3. Aang isn't that bad. I don't like that they made him worry too much about being an Avatar when the main plot in the first book is how he prefers to have fun. I remember him going around making fun stops and annoying Katara.

In the Netflix show we barely see him play or actually be a kid. I mean, so far, I've seen him playing around once because he's always talking about being an Avatar and not knowing how to do it, only for Katara to give him the answer - which I don't know why she should have them to begin with - and then he suddenly realizes he can do it.

Like with Avatar Kyoshi, for example.

That lecture she gave him was totally unnecessary coming from her when to begin with, Aang has a connection with Avatar Roku. That possession happened during a trial in the original and that's why it made more sense, but the fact that in the Netflix show she did it for him to defend Kyoshi island not only took away a bit of Aang's protagonism, but it's also like: if he can do that, let Kyoshi possess him and go kill Ozai at once so we don't have to see Book 2 and 3.

Long story short, Aang is too serious for a character whose problems in the original is being a child with responsibilities he doesn't want.

4. Zuko is boring. I have nothing else to say because I skip his scenes.

5. Ozai. God, I can't believe we've already seen his face. I liked that air of mystery he had around himself in the original, but now not only do we have scenes with him but we also have Azula? I haven't gotten to see how they interact and I don't even care to know. I dropped the show as soon as they appeared because I simply don't understand what they're doing there so soon.

Aizou and Yuujirou were able to get as close to each other's face as they get during performances, touch each other the way they are able to infront of their fans, only because they were in a very unique position of both trust and un-like. I don't want to use 'dislike' or 'hate' because by the time they were doing performances, they more or less stopped hating each other.

But back to the question of how Aizou and Yuujirou are able to touch and get physically close without either of their traumas or icks activating- because 1. Trust. They know that the other one is reliable enough to let themselves get so close, and 2. Un-like. They know that neither is attracted to the other, and thus believe that their partner would never attempt to do anything the other would usually be very wary of with any other person. Yuujirou struggles dealing with people but also hates being lonely, but he doesn't have to worry about pushing Aizou away, since he knows Aizou is as determined to about their idol career as Yuujirou himself is. Aizou hates the thought of romantic prospect with any woman, and Yuujirou is not a woman. Better yet, he also knows Yuujirou would never leave him since he's as determined about pursuing their music career as Aizou is, so Aizou's abandonment issues are also lessened.

Which brings me to the sheer potential of a romance and the changes it would make to their idol pair. Yuujirou is entirely uninterested in romance, but he IS interested in something "convenient". He still doesn't understand what he has with Aizou, except that he's started caring for him as more than just his unit partner (not that he'd admit it). He enjoys what they have- his first real friendship- and that's enough for him, for now.

The catalyst for change here, then, HAS to be Aizou. Aizou, who never wants to date women due to a personal trauma, has never completely dismissed the idea of entering a romantic relationship. It's even implied in the LIPXLIP Valentines event when Yuujirou asks him if he's ever been in love, Aizou blushes and dismisses it as 'we're talking about you now!' This implies Aizou DOES know what love is. Unfortunately, it's not totally clear if it's for Yuujirou or some random celebrity crush he had as a child. (Yuujirou doesn't even have that, the poor kid. He gave his entire childhood to kabuki.)

I remember from a LIPXLIP New Year's event, that Yuujirou helps Aizou put on traditional Japanese clothes for a programme, and with Yuujirou's head just beneath his chin, his expert fingers working against his chest, Aizou "can't help but feel restless in this sort of situation." I've felt it, Every queer person has felt it before- when a friend of the same gender helps you fix your clothes (a saree or the like that needs an extra pair of hands to fix), and they're so close, the unintentional intimacy is enough to make you hold your breath. I suspect Aizou felt the same.

If we remember correctly, Aizou is always the one initiating physical interaction during their interviews or public appearances, and Yuujirou comfortably eases into his touch, knowing he is completely same. Now, if or when Aizou gains romantic awareness, he might go the regular teenager routes, and either feel to conscious of Yuujirou to touch him casually anymore (which would be disastrous for LIPXLIP as an idol unit), or, more likely, amp up his touches even more. Aizou, the boy who's sent flying to the other side of the room if he bumps into a girl, willingly putting his arms around Yuujirou (in a joking way of course), even when there is no public appearance. Yuujirou might find it annoying or unnecessary, but may eventually get used to it too, even liking the skin ship (as all humans need it at least a little bit, either from family, friends or pets).

Anyway, yeah, that's how I think an 'official' path of them getting together would be handled. I'm fairly certain their won't be explicit "I love yous", but it'll be obvious if and when it happens.

Now, at the end of their school lives, there are a lot of things changing in their lives - but their friendship is going to stay constant, right? But Mischa's life is falling apart after the death of his sister. When he sneaks into Ryen's school, things are going to change... My rating: 1/5 My commentary:

Punk 57 annoyed me. Here's a book that seemed to have an interesting premise from the get-go - two kids who are penpals destined never to meet, until one day they do and find that they are different to how they were assuming. But in execution? About a third of the way in I realised that I did not care about these kids at all and that, furthermore, the whole premise of the book was just a weak excuse for a semi-badboy 'romance' which rivals Twilight in its creepiness. I know some people are probably into this kind of thing. And given how much emphasis is placed on the (copious!) sex scenes, I assume it's meant to be hot over anything. But I'm sorry, I just can't get past how terrible these two are, particularly Mischa. And how the plot just…wasn't.

Let's start with Mischa, since he's the most egregiously terrible of the duo. Mischa starts out at an event put on by his band, where he sees Ryen. He doesn't recognise her, but thanks to her distinct name he can identify that it's her. He assumes she's there for him, and kinda awkwardly stands near her in the hopes that she will notice him. She does not, because she's not there for him, because why would she be? She doesn't know what he looks like. Months later, he needs to infiltrate her school for a very convoluted reason as 'Masen', and ends up in a relationship with her. And not telling her that he's her childhood friend. Ever. And even apart from that, he's creepy and manipulative - he constantly pushes Ryen past her boundaries, doesn't respect her saying no, belittles and mistreats her, acts like she's the worst person in the world for *checks notes* being a Popular Girl in high school and not telling him that, lies to her, lies to her, lies to her, and lies to her. But he's a hot punk badboy, so all is forgiven! I could find no redeeming quality about Mischa. Even the thing that's meant to humanise him - his sister dies during the prologue, and we learn exactly why later, she had a heart attack while jogging because she was pushing herself to be better to please their birth mother - is just trite. Ah yes, inventing a fridged woman with no characterisation to give a male character more development. Truly, the best trope. He breaks into her house, he abuses her, he gives her the nickname 'Rocks' which turns out to be short for 'dumb as a box of' - a great romantic lead! Respecter of women! Ugh. Oh, and he dumps polaroids of semi-naked women all over Ryen's terrible boyfriend's mother's bed (that the boyfriend had taken, not Mischa) in order to shame him, as though their nudes getting out wouldn't affect the women. Classy!

Meanwhile, Ryen…I was trying so hard to like Ryen. After all, her main flaws were 'not entirely honest about herself' and 'friends with the stereotypical Mean Girl/Jock squad', which is small potatoes next to Mischa's rap sheet. The trouble for me was that she didn't get much in the way of development at all. She was afraid of being an outcast, of losing her social standing, so every part of how she presented herself was a calculated performance to be that Mean Girl alpha kind of personality, including hiding her asthma and true interests. The trouble is that we never really got a good sense for who the 'real' Ryen was the whole time? For all that we're supposed to be shocked that Ryen was misrepresenting herself to Mischa, we never really see the Ryen that Mischa knew - hell, we never even get to see that many of the letters they sent to one another, outside a couple of excerpts. So I was never quite sure why I was meant to sympathise with her, who I was meant to be rooting for. It doesn't help that her narrative voice is like every character in her archetype, the kind of will-I-won't-I, he's-bad-but-I-love-him, I-seem-shallow-but-I'm-really-deep mindset. There just wasn't anything there to distinguish her.

And as to the non-romance side of the plot, it was…boring? It rarely came up, and was incredibly convoluted when you put it all together. See, Ryen's terrible boyfriend (not Mischa, the jock) has a bracelet that belonged to Mischa's dead sister, only he doesn't have it, his mother has it. Well, stepmother. Who is also Mischa's bio-mother. Who doesn't recognise him when 'Masen' gets pulled into the principal's office, because she's also the principal. I just…if Mischa knew she had it the whole time, why couldn't he have just broken into her house? Why all of this? This plot barely ever comes up, it's mostly the drama between Mischa and Ryen, but there's just nothing to it. Nothing interesting. It's just boring, and doesn't carry the weight of the horrible romance. Miss this book, is what I'm saying.

Next up, to a dystopian world, obeying a simple command.

I was watching a video on the pictures of mental disorders like ADHD and autism (and more) and it made me think of this. It's kinda rambley so be warned.

I love the head cannon of Genji having ADHD and/or autism as someone with ADHD and in the process of getting an autism diagnosis myself, I can definitely see myself and quite a lot of his character in the way he acts or interacts with other characters in the world around him.

And there has been a few fanfics or just things I read in general of people with the same headcanon and I know it's unintentional, but the amount of times that characters feel like they're being infantilized, made out to be stupid or annoying, completely unaware of themselves, or very stereotyping about ADHD and autism is quite often. And I know it's because of media portrayals and just not much understanding. It can just be a little disheartening sometimes, especially when it no longer feels like the character because they pushed them so far into stereotypes that it doesn't feel like them anymore.

There's some things about having ADHD specifically that are like dead giveaways if you know what you're looking for, but the most common thing I see being done is the hyperactivity part, I've seen betrayals of Genji where he's just non-stop talking constantly bouncing off the walls of so much energy and it's just hyperactive all the time. And as much as hyperactivity is a part of ADHD, most often than not hyperactivity is internal in adults (also when girls and women) so they may be having a million thoughts at once but could be standing there with their arms crossed staring into space (totally not talking from experience XD) or if they are rushing around doing things they're jumping from different tasks to task and then remembering the task they started going back to it and it's just a constant cycle. Plus as you grow up you get a better understanding of how your individual experience with ADHD works and you can learn to cope with it more, and if you've accessed medication.

We know Genji used to be really impatient, and struggle with his attention and a whole bunch of other things canonically, and he only ever did things that he was interested in because he couldn't physically do things he didn't care about (like how he didn't find interest or like the clan activities but loved playing video games and training) and similarly defiant or oppositional behavior is another trait. He even fits with the common problem with ADHD even insomnia, with him being unable to sleep in anything up staying up late talking with Angela. ADHD can also influence emotional things like having stronger reactions with anger or rage, that seemingly come out of nowhere or are far larger than what caused them.

And now with zenyatta's help he was able to find ways to help him regulate his attention more, help him to be more patient, and try and keep on the same train of thought. By no means is he "cured" he has just accepted who he is and is able to find ways to help him in his daily life.

Anyways to get back to what I was saying before, there's just times that I've been reading these fanfictions and stuff and it just feels like there is no understanding or very little understanding of what she's actually like to deal with and not just from an outsiders perspective looking at someone with ADHD. Because so much of it is internal. And even with physical aspects of it they're not ...good... Like headaches, rashes, emotional outbursts/very strong emotions like with rage, sadness, even joy, not to mention RSD (rejection sensitive dysphoria) which feels horrible and makes you feel like every little thing you do only makes the people you care about hate you more or never liked you to begin with, sensitivity to sensory input like lights and sound and specially touch. And it being simplified to just hyperactive "oh sorry I can be forgetful sometimes"/"I'm not like other girls"/ "oh I'm so hyper! I have soooo much energy" just doesn't feel good.

This applies to not just Genji and depictions of ADHD but characters in media in general. I didn't speak on autism as much, because even though it's very likely I have it I am not fully diagnosed yet so I don't want to speak on it too much in terms of personal experience. Also not judging anyone for the way they write characters or anyone in particular, it's just more occasional tidbits I pick up on from time to time from everywhere from the OverWatch community to media and to film and TV.

a ramble on rhea's reign

i have been ruminating on rhea's booking recently, but recent events on raw, plus a bit of news from fightful, has really got me thinking and well. i think rhea's reign is going to be LONG.

totally incoherent thoughts are below lol

so. she has been sparsley used in a wrestling capacity--especially post backlash--falling primarily into a manager role, which for people like me who really love to see her wrestle, is annoying as hell... but i digress. her insistent interference with dom's matches in particular works in a narrative capacity--because it ultimately shows that dom cannot get a win without her. she is frequently involved in the mens side of things by proxy of being apart of TJD, and whilst it was fun for a while, people are really starting to get annoyed by it--myself included. but ultimately, it keeps her name in people's mouths and she is on tv every single week. the numbers she pulls on social media are excellent, she gets great crowd reactions, has some of the best selling merch--like, the girl is ooooover.

(i do wish that they would pull the trigger on some intergender stuff with her--because rhea has been vocal about wanting to make history--and she has experience with it from RCW... but anyway.)

i have wondered, for a while, what the deal was here? but given some recent bits of info from fightful it's becoming a bit clearer. it seems that rhea is minimising her time spent in the women's division so that the scene outside of the title can flourish--and that seems pretty obvious now that becky/zoey/trish, is The women's story on Raw. The women's tag stuff on RAW has especially gotten a lot more time recently... and i would say that a lot of that is to do with rhea happily taking the backseat and only really being invloved with TJD stuff.

She is seemingly unconcerned with is going on with her own creative which is fairly honourable (also, A Choice imo)... and given how much Rhea is liked backstage, how often other women want to work with her, how often she is put over by other talent, how that comment about her allowing her opponents to get more offense in would-be squashes, how often she appears all over RAW? Yeah, doesn't surprise me how she has opted for this atm--she's too fucking nice, and tbh, a consumate professional. (during the royal rumble, rhea bumped and sold like a maniac for every woman who got in the ring...... it is really a wonder she's in the position she is? nope) BUT... does it piss me off that she is being used in this way? oh yeah. but after becky ripped her a new one the other evening in a delicious promo, i don't envision it being like this for much longer (i hope). becky (theoretically) getting into her head about being a 'main event sidepiece', and how she isn't worthy of the title, and then in a promo from the week prior she gets sort-of put down by raquel... like, my goodness, finally, a bit of set-up for some stuff down the line? crazy.

rhea, the "dominant" champion actually having to prove herself to would be competitors is an interesting narrative, given that she is THE division heel? fun, her character work in TJD has been great--lets do more. ...and then rhea, despite being the champ, is not being treated as the main-eventer in her own faction--and i think bringing up a bit of bitterness on her end would be a good idea.

(and oh my god... when she or dom eventually turn on one another? sgdhjjddjdjddk) people are blaming this on her knee and saying that she should be stripped of the title (LOL)... which i think is kind of hilarious and disingenuous given that nattie has been deadlifted into a riptide all over the house show circuit, and that she can just casually pick up damian's big ass. you cannot do that shit if your knee is absolutely fucked. girl has been working with these injuries since she was a teen by the looks of it, and well, it hasn't stopped her yet.

but ultimately... i think this is going to be a slow burn reign. and given that we are three months in and rhea has done nothing but piss people off, it can only improve. they're not throwing the women's roster at her to beatdown, because who is she going to wrestle for the next 'x' amount of months if everyone is already beaten. they're only lightly teasing her feuds with raquel and becky, and they're reaaaaaally dragging out this nattie feud. competitors need to be built, and RAW, despite what certain IWC members say, has plenty of women who can go toe-to-toe with rhea--and best believe, rhea can--AND WILL--go out of her way to make her smaller opponents look credible.

Candice, Indi, Zoey, Piper, Tegan, will all make great opponents, but there needs to be some investment in them, and we have actually seen this with Zoey in particular. Becky and Raquel (and maybe Trish) are currently the big two (three)... but i am also hoping for Beth Phoenix to turn up again--and that is a match that Rhea is on record wanting quite badly.

(i am also expecting some roster jiggery at some stage because the Smackdown side is absolutely crammed with all the upper-card gals...)

anyway, they aren't firing on all cylinders yet--because this is going to be a long reign imo. they aren't exhausting all the feuds right off the bat, because there is a real risk of burnout if it all goes a bit too fast.

right, that's all i got. this is too fucking long already.

In honor of the Phantom of the Opera, here is the story of how a guy once broke up with me because of it: I was showing him the movie for the first time, afterwards we were discussing it and he was saying how he liked that Christine chose Raoul which I absolutely disagreed with. I ended up making a joke about how she could've just chosen both by marrying Raoul for his money and seeing Erik on the side. He did not find that funny, went off about how all women are the same, they only want money, I was just like the rest of them and ended up storming off.

We ended up reconciling, and our first date after was to see a movie that I had been talking about since the cast list was released: Into the Woods. It was one of my favorite plays and I was dying to see how the movie did it justice and he bought tickets to the really fancy movie theatre all the way on the other side of town where the seats were reclinable and had a divider every two seats. A little into the movie he started kissing and touching up on me and I told him to stop cause I wanted to watch the movie so he gets up and walks out all pissed, I think nothing of it, I continue watching. When he doesn't come back, I check my phone to see he texted saying that if I was gunna more interested in the other movie rather than him, then I could stay there by myself because it was obvious I only agreed to go out with him again cause I knew he would pay to see the movie. I was now stranded an hour away from my house so I texted my mom what happened, she drove to pick me up, and I got to see the rest of the movie in a nice theatre all by myself.

We again reconciled, but fortunately, for the last time. One day, we were talking about having kids, and he mentioned how he couldn't wait to have kids. When he finally asked what I thought, I said I couldn't see myself having kids. He got pissed, called me selfish, once again brought up money, saying that I probably didn't want kids cause they would be too expensive and that he just couldn't get over how I could joke about relationships like that and how it was obvious I only cared if a man had money.

Before, it was always me being the first to reach out and after that last convo I decided I was done with him. He tried to contact me a couple of times after that but every starting convo ended up with him trying to make me apologize and it just annoyed me. He gave up after a while and we never talked again.

I was 17 when this happened, and the only thing I regret is apologizing for that joke. Christine should have still seen Eric on the side and I stand by that.
