The U.S. Air Force is celebrating the 70º anniversary of the U.S.-South Korea alliance with a huge demonstration of air power at the 2023 Seoul International Aerospace and Defense Exhibition (ADEX) this week, and a B-52H Stratofortress made a full landing on the Korean Peninsula for the first time today, according to all known reports.

Also during the exhibition, scheduled from October 17 to 22 at Seoul Air Base, USAF will exhibit eight other types of aircraft through static displays and aerial demonstrations, according to the Pacific Air Forces, including: F-22 Raptor, F-16 Fighting Falcon, A-10 Thunderbolt II, C-17 Globemaster III, C-5 Galaxy, KC-135 Stratotanker, U-2 Dragon Lady and E-3 Sentry. Other U.S. military aircraft include CH-47F Chinook, AH-64 Apache, F-35B Lightning II and E/A-18 Growler.

The famous nuclear-capable B-52 bomber carried out two overflights at the event before landing at Cheongju Airport, 140 km south of Seoul.

“These overflights, air demonstrations and static displays, including the landing of the B-52 on the peninsula, are part of our ongoing commitment to promote peace, stability and prosperity on the Korean peninsula,” Major Rachel Buitrago, director of Public Affairs of the 7ª Air Force, said in a statement.

The B-52 Stratofortress, known as BUFF, is the main cruise missile carrier of the U.S. Air Force. The H model is now the last variant of the Stratofortress, which has been in service since the 1950s.

Although the B-52 has never landed in Korea, it has carried out several recent exercises near or over the Korean Peninsula. On June 30, several B-52s from Barksdale Air Base, along with South Korean F-16, F-15E and F-35As and KF-16, conducted a joint overflight of the country.

Then, on July 13, the long-range bomber was accompanied by F-16 and three F-15K aircraft of the Republic of Korea Air Force (ROKAF) for a combined air training session over the peninsula. This exercise followed North Korea's allegations that it launched a solid-fuel intercontinental ballistic missile on July 12, capable of reaching the continental territory of the United States.

North Korea continued to carry out numerous missile launches this year, including the most recent test in September, when it fired two short-range ballistic missiles into the sea off the eastern coast.

“We still face ongoing challenges from North Korea, including its dangerous and destabilizing missile testing program, and others that would undermine the rules-based international order,” Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin said in April when he welcomed South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol who was visiting the Pentagon.

Austin and President Joe Biden pledged to intensify joint military exercises between the U.S. and South Korea, including those with nuclear-capable resources, such as strategic bombers or submarines with ballistic missiles. Last week, the aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan made a stopover in Busan, South Korea.

“2023 marks 70 years of alliance between the United States and the Republic of Korea - an alliance that has proved to be solid in the face of challenges over many decades. It is among the most interoperable, capable and dynamic bilateral alliances in the world," Lieutenant General Scott Pleus, commander of the Seventh Air Force and deputy commander of the U.S. Forces in Korea, said in a statement.

“We are honored to demonstrate our commitment to this partnership through our U.S. participation in Seoul's ADEX 23 as part of our ongoing commitment to promoting peace, stability and prosperity on the Korean peninsula,” Pleus added.

This biennial exhibition, the largest of its kind in Northeast Asia, presents aircraft, ground equipment, air demonstrations and attracts aviation and aerospace experts and defense personnel from all over the world.

anw her parents were both olympic hopefuls but they alw just missed the cut so after havin their career go nowhere, they eventually switched gears and became olympic coaches in shooting!! bc their olympic career died down they also decided 2 start a family n that's how haneul first came along, n hanna 4y later!!

but her parents nvr rlly gave up on that dream and they rlly projected their ambition onto haneul n hanna!! what this means is the kang siblings grew up w a v regimented, healthy lifestyle n was taught shootin @ a v young age to hopefully one day fulfil their parents' dreams

ended up goin a lil wild in sch aka doin wtv she wanted for once in her life including!! bullying!! she was a huge rascal honestly n the prob was that she could get away w wtv she wanted bc her parents frankly only cared ab haneul winning gold..... which he did in the 2016 summer olympics : ))) this boosted her popularity n ego in sch so she loved that shit too

haneul thought that winning gold would make his parents finally happy n that they would ease up but he was wrong!! they j wanted more n nth was ever going to be enough n that's when he realised that he was nvr gettin off this train so!! burnt out n all he sneakily released a statement on his instagram sayin that he is retiring n to avoid gettin his ass whooped, he ran off 2 his maternal grandparents place in busan!! bc hanna is super close w her brother, she kinda tags along cause 🖕 her parents

they're hiding out at their grandparents' place when outbreak day happens!! grandpa eats grandma n hanna shoots him n is traumatised by it, but then grandma turns into a zomb n haneul grabs her crying ass outta there n they bolt to busan qz per the govt's instructions

when things settle they get given their tasks n haneul becomes a blacksmith while hanna's assigned 2 b kitchen help!! hanna ofc hates this, is offended by this, loses interest in life bc of this, until fast forward to fireflies origins when haneul tells her that he's been recruited as a fireflies agent!! hanna realises that if the fireflies succeed in overtaking the kdrt, she will nvr have to look at dirty dishes stacked in the sink again so she signs tf up n picks up a gun for the first time in a long time!!

fireflies wins n hanna and haneul remain as fireflies agents!! this is rly bc a) haneul starts 2 rlly believe in the fireflies, b) hanna will b able to watch his back as an agent herself c) hanna does nawt wanna go back 2 the kitchen and d) they're both rly good at shooting so!!

things settle n haneul even finds love <3 then word ab div4 recruiting volunteers spreads n haneul, being the golden boy and olympian shooter, gets pressured 2 join!! n honestly, he would have in a heartbeat if not for his oopsie baby that's due in 8ish months!! no one knows ab it yet except hanna, but haneul feels torn ab fighting for a cause he genuinely believes in n not wanting to disappoint the fireflies, but also putting his life in danger so his kid may grow up without a father!! the night before div4 starts their mission hanna convinces him to let her join instead bc she wants to prove that she's more than just his sibling ( false she does not give a shit she knows she's top shit but it's the only way to guilt her brother into letting her do this for him ) but yes kids!! that's the story of how ur post-apocalyptic day mulan ends up in div4!!

A body was found in Busan. It is far from my legislation but I was curious about it. I had never seen a case like that. Seokjin sent me a message asking for my help solving some encrypted messages. I took a week off and jumped on the first train there.

5:47 AM

Some might say that this time is too early even form a sentence. I see it the other way around. Mornings are where my energy is at its highest peak. Although, if I manage to not pass out from exhaustion, I have some of my most creative thoughts around the first hours of the new day.

This is a waste of time. I have a 2-hour trip. I need to focus on this code.

P.S.: Remind Hoseok to check on Saku if not back in 2 days.

Namjoon takes out his notebook as the sun’s first rays gleam through the oval-shaped windows of the train. His carriage was nearly empty and he felt almost as if he was being sang a lullaby, much like the movement as it traveled through the rails was rocking him peacefully to sleep.

He tended to keep his mornings quiet. Most of his shifts would end as the sun rose and he thought time too precious to waste on sleep. He would tend to some reading and to his plants. Sometimes, though, he would be interrupted by his loud neighbor Hoseok. Still, they had become… friends? Perhaps. That was a tricky word for Namjoon.

He flips through the battered pages of his small book.

The people nearby can smell the soft scent of coffee. It had been countless the times that notebook had been doused in the liquid as Namjoon would drift off momentarily while trying to analyze a case. His whole career was traced in those pages.

He had a perfect picture of the code on his phone. He could easily analyze that version instead of the one he had roughly sketched. Still, there was something — it could be from the touch of his calloused fingers against the smooth paper, or simply the fact that, deep down, he was an old soul. It made him think clearer, faster even. As if a new part of his brain was unlocked just by the simple sight of paper.

In his text message, Seokjin was very vague about everything. Namjoon met him while in the academy and they became good friends instantly. In fact, Seokjin became good friends with everyone. He was the kind of guy that had this charisma to him — it was impossible to not like him. When their training ended and they received their badges and guns, Namjoon was assigned to the police department of Seoul and Seokjin was sent to Busan. They would text each other from time to time.

He kept on admiring the sketch he had made of the cipher. He could easily recognize some shapes. The e’s, the m’s, the g, the c, and the s’s. But then it wouldn’t exactly make sense as he tried to put the letters together. He tried counting each stroke. He read it backward and frontward, straight and upsidedown. And he only stopped when the train announced that the next step would be Busan.

He got up, hand gripping the rail as the train came to a stop. People rushed out, some bumping into Namjoon as they left. He tightens the grip on the strap of his bag. Seokjin was supposed to pick him up but canceled last minute. So Namjoon decides to walk. He had only been to Busan once, as a kid.

After 20 minutes of walking, he finds a coffee shop. He figured it was time to stop, maybe ask for directions.

The store is small and nearly 5 tables fit inside. Still, it’s full and he can only order a coffee to go. Black, two spoons of sugar. But after taking his first sip, he doubts they listened. The bitter taste makes him shiver, eyes shutting as his glands take in the flavor.

Namjoon has no choice but to sit on the small bench in front of the coffee shop. Again, he takes out his notebook, examining the code as he took yet another sip from his coffee. Eventually, his mouth gets used to the bitter taste.

“Is that a riddle?” Namjoon doesn’t react but his heart rate shoots up at the sudden presence by his side.

“Something like that.” He looks up, but not too much, his eyes falling directly on the petite girl standing by his side.

“Are you perfecting it, or simply trying to figure it out?” The girl sits next to Namjoon and he scootches over to the end of the bench. If it weren’t for the armrest, he would’ve fallen to the ground.

“The latter, minus the simple part.”

She hums in response, her cup being held slightly in between her lips as she scans the code on Namjoon’s notebook. For a second, they stand silent, trying to analyze the code.

“Have you figured anything out yet?”

“Hmm-” Namjoon is pensive. Not anything concrete. And he doesn’t like to speak without being certain. “There’re some letters that stand out.”

Namjoon points out all his ideas. The girl nods, attentively listening throughout his entire explanation.

“Well, that is definitely a C. And next to it looks like an A- or an X.”

“If we follow that line of thought, it might be a word. CA makes more sense than CX.”

“Cat?” Hyori makes the first suggestion.

“Car?”

“Cam?”

“We’re already deducing it’s 3 lettered.” Namjoon laughs lightly.

“I mean… It could be bigger but if you compare it to the others, it makes sense it’s 3 — or maybe 4 lettered. But not more.”

“You’re right.” Namjoon’s eyes aren’t on the old pages of his notebook. Instead, he notices how fair her skin is and how her lips are slightly parted, wet from the coffee she had in her hand. “I’m Namjoon, by the way.”

“Hyori.” She meets his eyes, giving him a gentle smile. He returns it, a dimple showing on his cheek. She immediately feels herself blushing at the thought of how handsome he is.

“Can?”

“Can what?” She’s suddenly dragged back to planet earth.

“The word. It could be Can. Especially considering the question mark at the end.”

“Oh-” She examines the sketch quickly and a smile forms on her lips. “Good thinking!”

They continue their line of thought, word after word. Some are simpler than others. And Hyori’s spirit makes it somewhat lighter on Namjoon. By now, had he been all alone on that bench, he would’ve given up. Actually, he would be curled up in the dark motel room he had booked only a couple of hours prior, nose buried into his small notebook, his hair slowly turning gray as he tried to solve the riddle. Instead, he was enjoying the warmth of the sun on his skin, swiftly swapping ideas with a stranger he had just met. And somehow, she felt more than just that.

“Those could easily be numbers, no?” Namjoon ponders out loud, finger softly tracing the line on the bottom.

“Did it come with that?” Hyori meant the line underneath the supposed numbers.

“Yeah,”

“So it must be important. Like that first word from the middle occupies so much more space than the others.”

Namjoon nods. “It would be really important to know his name.”

“Or hers.” Hyori points out and Namjoon laughs in agreement. “The first one looks like a 2.”

“And the other a 4. If you flip it.” He completes her line of thought.

“So, 24…” Hyori looks up at the sky, her mind trying to think of what it could be. “A date, a time? A street name?”

“Might be…”

“Oh, God!” Hyori hops from her place on the bench. Namjoon is startled and gets up as well. “I’m very late!”

“I- Oh- I’m so sorry!” Namjoon can’t express himself, suddenly showered with a hint of guilt for keeping her occupied.

“No- it’s not your fault! I lost track of time.” Hyori speaks quickly. “I have to run to the bus but-”

Namjoon notices as she presses her lips together. “Can I-”

“I really want to know how that ends, so please don’t take this the wrong way…” She looks down at the floor. “Can I have your number? And once you solve it, you can tell me all about it.”

“I-” Namjoon is speechless for a moment, a shade of pink covering his face. “Of course.”

They exchange their phone numbers and Namjoon watches Hyori leave until she’s out of his sight. He feels like it might also be time for him to leave, a sudden empty feeling confining inside him. He shrugs it off as soon as his eyes land on the pages in front of him. He had made good progress and was sure Seokjin was going to appreciate it.

Namjoon finally gets to his motel room. The room is gloomy and has a strange odor in the air. Namjoon sighs, bag dropping to the floor as he closes the blinds in the room. For a moment, he sits on the edge of the bed, notebook tightly closed in between his fingers. He ponders about opening it again. He feels exhausted just imagining the code in his mind, the strokes magically dancing and moving places.

Namjoon doesn’t remember falling asleep. But he must’ve slept for the entire day as the closed curtain of his window seems black, with no ray of sun to be seen. His body was needing it. It had been more than 24 hours since the last time he had shut his eyes. No one said that the detective life was going to be easy. Still, Namjoon was keen on the career path. Ever since joining the academy.

A text comes in. And another. Sitting up on the cheap mattress, he unlocks his phone.

June was accused of being a bully in middle school and high school. Apparently stating that June was responsible for the harassment, physical injuries of the student, ██████. There have been accusations popping up in the fandom left and right. To the point where in 2022 you couldn't search up June M- in google without dozens upon dozens of websites, ‘fansites, and twitter accounts dedicated to informing others of her bullying accusations. Of course, seeing as June is still in the group today, these accusations were debunked one way or another. But looking deeper into the whole situation, netizens found the whole scandal to be odd. June always seemed to receive special privileges in Honeyco, and her getting the first solo career was the breaking point for most fans. June, believe it or not, is possibly the most corrupt person in honeyco, even more than the ceo (which is saying a lot). June comes from a rather wealthy family, she grew up in a large manor with her caring and loving mother and hard working and compassionate father. They lived peacefully, June attended a large private school for most of her life. Until one day her mother and she received the devastating news that her father had tragically passed in a car accident. June cut herself off from the world for years, before eventually her and her mother sold the manor for money, and moved to Busan. Her mother, after somewhat pulling herself together, sent June off to a new public school near their small house. This was when June’s bullying accusations would have started. She was on edge constantly and being abruptly forced into this new environment unwillingly set her off the edge. Was she the person all the accusations said she was? She didn't know, she didn't bother enough to remember that palace. All she did recall was the need to breathe from all the gossip that surrounded her back then. Later, she eventually gave up on her education and went to become an idol trainee. Her mother took her own life. June was devastated. Absolutely in ruins. To the point where she was prepared to give up herself. That was until the ceo of hoenyco,██████████, scouted her. Promising her to make everything better again. To this day June is still confused over how the life she currently has is making it better.

Aecha is the last born of two parents and has two older sisters and one set of older twin brothers. Although her father is a maths teacher, she was completely uninterested in school. Instead, she was obsessed with second gen girl groups, mainly KARA, who subsequently sparked her love for singing and dancing.

At age 15, Aecha somehow convinced her dad to take her and her friends to Seoul to audition for several entertainment agencies. Unfortunately, she did not make it into JYPE or the other companies some of her friends made it into. Alternatively, she was accepted by MISSMUSE Entertainment, which she had to beg her parents to let her join. In her mind, one acceptance was better than none, and the earlier she became a trainee, the greater chance she had to debut. Although her parents were supportive of her dreams, they were more scared of her education and wanted her to graduate first. Nevertheless, her parents reluctantly let her move to Seoul on the condition that she must stay in school and could be withdrawn from the company at any time. In the beginning, Aecha was ecstatic. She trained day and night and even put more effort into school, so her parents had nothing to complain about. But it all went downhill in 2014, when MME put her in the GRLZ HIGH lineup along with the other 6 members.

Initially, this was great news, but after an additional 6 months of training, MME announced last minute that they would debut GRLZ HIGH without Aecha. This made her very depressed as she had worked so hard up until this point. MME were reluctant to debut her for multiple reasons, a) she was too young, b) she didn't fit the concept, and c) they had envisioned a 6 member girl group instead. However, these reasons went in one ear and out of the other.

Aecha was engulfed by self-hatred and doubt. In order to become a ‘perfect idol', she began training to unhealthy amounts and starving herself to be ‘as pretty as possible’, all while keeping it secret from her parents in fear of being sent back home. She also remained friends with members Haneul and Sena until they suddenly left the company in 2015, and she lost contact with them altogether.

Finally, Aecha graduated in 2016 and was simultaneously added to a special group of trainees who were planning to be added to GRLZ HIGH. Though the situation kind of rubbed her the wrong way, she was excited to finally have another chance of debuting. She also met two new trainees, Su-Jin, whom she rarely talked to due to conflicting schedules, and Aina. Despite Aecha's mental state not being the best at this point, she acted completely different around her. She could see her younger self in Aina and wanted to protect her from all of the struggles she faced through trainee life. Aecha treated Aina like her child, she fed her, tried (and failed) to help her with her homework, and even learned Japanese to help her feel more at home.

The disbanded of GRLZ HIGH hit Aecha pretty hard, not only because she once again had lost her chance of debuting, but also because she heard of what happened to ex-members Haneul and Sena for the first time. This was pretty much Aecha's last straw, and she came very close to quitting the entertainment industry for good. It was Aina who, through a very dramatic and tearful confrontation, convinced her to stay. Eventually, in late 2017- early 2018, she was put in the line-up for NOVELLA, and, although she tried not to get her hopes up, her debut was pretty much guaranteed.

For a long time after her debut, her eating disorder continued to be a big problem, with her self-worth being largely dependent on her weight. She would often hide in bathrooms after long concerts and tours to hide her exhaustion from the members. During the groups 2020 ‘hiatus’, Aecha started rehabilitation/therapy after being briefly hospitalised, and she has been recovering ever since. She has now regained her love for sports by regularly going to the gym/playing football and is also practising healthier eating habits.

When I was in college, a certain army captain and I spent a few days in rural area, and then we boarded the train together and returned to Seoul at night. When we passed through paddy fields, the outside was just black, but the closer we got to the metropolitan area, the more the lights started to flow backwards. When we almost arrived in Seoul, and it was getting bright outside, the captain said:

“When I go back to Seoul after being in the countryside, my heart is stuffy, perhaps because I was born and grew up in the countryside.

Hearing that, I felt that it was the exact opposite of me, and I gave this answer to him:

“I was born and grew up in only Seoul. So, when I go to rural area where there is nothing, my heart is very stuffy. Whereas, when the lights of big city start to come into my eyes, I'm so glad and relieved.”

I lived in Seoul for 40 years, and recently moved to Busan, then spent 1 and a half year, but the comfort of coming to Seoul has quickly disappeared.

These days, I feel more comfortable when I arrive at Busan Station. When I meet the decreased number of humans and the lowered height of the buildings in front of the station, I come to think here is a more friendly and less frightening city.

In my eyes, which react only to delicious things, the first thing that comes in was a bakery called ‘B&C’ whenever I get off at Busan Station. But strangely, I didn’t have the courage to go into it. Seeing that there are three B&C stores in the station, it is clear that this is a must-eat-place in Busan. Next time I get back from Seoul, I'll buy some bread there for Mrs. Park and go home.

Come to think of these things, the biggest reason why I feel glad and comfortable when I come to Busan is must because of Mrs. Park, who is waiting for some delicious things to come at home.

대학교 때 어떤 육군 대위님이랑 깡촌에서 며칠을 보내다가 같이 기차를 타고 밤에 서울로 돌아온 적이 있었다. 어딘지 알 수 없는 논밭을 지날 때면 밖이 그냥 검은 색이지만 수도권이 가까워 올수록 불빛이 하나 둘 늘어나 뒤로 흘러가기 시작한다. 서울에 거의 도착해 밖에 환해졌을 때쯤 대위님께서 말씀하셨다.

“저는 어릴 때 시골에 살았어서 그런지.. 시골에 있다가 이렇게 다시 서울로 돌아가고 있으면 가슴이 답답해 집니다.”

그걸 들은 나는, 나와는 정 반대라고 생각했고, 이미 가슴이 답답해지신 대위님께 이런 대답을 드렸다.

“저는 서울에서 태어나 서울에서만 자라서 그런지.. 아무것도 없는 깡촌에 가면 가슴이 너무 답답하더라고요. 그래서 서울로 돌아오는 길에 불빛이 보이기 시작하면 반갑고 마음이 놓입니다. 말 그대로 고향에 돌아온 거라.”

그렇게 서울에서 40년을 살았고, 최근에 직장을 옮기면서 부산에는 1년 6개월을 살았는데.. 요즘은 서울에 올라가면, 서울역 플렛폼에서 에스컬레이터에 넘쳐 흐르는 인간들 사이에 끼어드는 순간부터 이미 가슴이 답답해지면서, 고향에 온 편안함 같은 건 없어져 버렸다.

요즘 편안한 기분이 드는 건 오히려 부산역에 도착했을 때인데.. 확연히 줄어든 인간들의 숫자와, 같이 줄어든 역 앞 건물들의 높이를 마주하면.. 역시 여기가 더 정겹고, 덜 무서운 도시라는 생각이 든다.

맛난 것들에만 빠르게 반응하는 내 눈에, 부산역에 처음 내렸을 때부터 가장 확연히 들어온 건 ‘비앤씨’라는 빵집인데.. 이상하게도 한 번을 들어갈 용기가 나지 않았다. 같은 역 안에 매장이 3개나 있는 걸 보니 부산 맛집임에 분명한데.. 다음에 서울에 갔다 돌아오는 길에는 뭔가 하나 사들고 집에 들어가봐야겠다.

그러고 보니, 부산에 오면 마음이 편안한 가장 큰 이유는.. 집에서 맛난 것이 오기만을 기다리고 계실 박여사 때문이 아닐까 싶다.

Phew, uh, lemme look actually cuz most Angst fics are triggering for me so I never finish them- okay so TW obviously. The angstiest ending I think I’ve ever written (I THINK) is the character revealing their c/s/a to family members

Do you write Crossovers? If so, what is the craziest one you’ve written?

I write almost exclusively in Crossovers lmfao. I have a folder literally named Pandora’s Box where I put my fics that need multiple notes just to keep track. Lemme go find the most complex one,,,

okay so my bestie and I are working on a fic with tens of characters from VERY different places who are all villians and are attending a mental hospital (its legitimate, not a horror fic. I’ve been in one so we’re making it as realistic as we can without it being too triggering or unfun)

I don’t know… I take a lot of criticism as hate even though it’s not so I don’t really remember the bad ones anymore. I keep comments that make me happy in my inbox for bad days.

Do you write Smut? If so, what kind?

Yes, although I rarely post it. I’m not very good at it so it’s mostly fics about very specific kinks I’ve fantisized about and are having the characters act out in my place.

I don’t think so. I may have blocked it out if it did occur.

No, though I’m fully welcome to that.

Have you ever co-written a fic before?

The fic I mentioned previously is my first project with someone else. I don’t write well with many people so, my bestie is really my only option.

What’s your all-time favorite ship?

Probably “Ineffable Husbands”. I’ve felt so much comfort from canon, fanfiction, and the fandom. I learned to love my body because of fanart of Aziraphale.

What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

It’s a fic from like 2015. I’m partially ashamed of it and partially obsessed still. I won’t describe it due to being embarrassed by it’s current state.

I do plan to try rewriting it though. Just recently I discovered it again and considered posting it as it was just to free myself from it.

What are your writing strengths?

I really don’t know? I like to think I’m good at Titles and Summaries, but I have evidence against that. Sometimes, I feel like my crossover ideas, the links and connections I find, are very unique. I don’t even know what you’d call that besides Creativity though.

What are your writing weaknesses?

I was gonna say the genres Angst and Smut. Then, I was gonna mention my grammar. In the end though, I think I struggle to characterize and choose one rule of logic to follow.

I’m far too logical one moment and competely uncaring of logic the next. I also project onto characters far too much sometimes. In my opinion, anyway.

If you’ve read my fics I welcome you to express what my weakness (and strength) is because I’m biased.

What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

Yes. Just, Yes. I’m currently working on a fic where the characters speak a mix of 3 dialects of Spanish and Quechua.

The fic is in English of course because I’m not fluent in any of those languages, but I’m writing songs for the fic in those languages and interspersing famous proverbs people tend to use (like “dont judge a book by its cover” but the spanish equivalent) throughout the fic

Young Justice probably. I don’t remember if I wrote fanfics before I learned what it was. I imagine I may have written for Winx when I was in Elementary, but I didn’t know it was fic so i can’t recall it now

Oh this is difficult. On FF my favorite has always been [One Death, Two Scars].

I really don’t know ahhh. I didn’t even include any of the WIPs… I adore [Modern Medicine], oh and [Secret Memories] oh I truly love this one, I like [What’s Left of Us] and [A Seer’s Trance] a lot… [Changed Fate] is good. I haven’t mentioned a lot of the fics I’m proud of because I’m similtaneously a little embarrassed by the current state of writing,,, but

I just love a lot of my work. I learned a time ago that every piece of work you make is valuable in your progression as a writer. To love myself, I have to love what I create, too. Well, not all of it, but I have to appreciate what the fic has done for me to grow from it.

I like [Confident In Love], [“Crossovers”] is great, [Accidental Burn] is so good, and [Brick by Brick a Family is] is definitely absolutely one of my favorites.

I have a fic just called [🌲💫🗯] that I love (actually any of my Gravity Falls fics I love probably). [Good Parenting 101] is sweet, [Subversions] is like [Indulgence] lol very self indulgent- OH and I havent even mention how many of my Stardew Valley fics for my OC Aluna are so good! Though I don’t know if I’ve ever posted them,,,, oh I also have a completely different fic called [Subversions] thats very different lmao

[Shaking] makes me happy, [Captain America: Falcon’s Call] is definitely a fic I want to finish someday, [The True Iron Legion] is ahhh I love it- okay I need to stop lol I love too many of my fics to keep listing them! I really hope you’ll check them out though,,, I love them a lot.

Nevermind, One more!!! I forgot about [정말 너무 혼란스러 (Never leave me alone)]. Oh screw it. I’m gonna keep recommending my favorites. [Heroes Endgame] is a bit dramatic but It took a lot of work to think about lol. Honestly any of my Luca fics I think are pretty good. I think [‘Ohahu Anu] is really creative. Most my Encanto fics are decent or great.

Saw Jung_E bc when you hear that the Train to Busan director is dropping something, you show up. It was a pretty good time, as I found its examination of the expense of immortality to be fascinating. Particularly as they drove the horror of the Type C immortality home.

Free brain upload! But a random firm can do whatever they want with you. Indefinitely. And I'm guessing that the AI copy is fully aware of everything while they're powered on. So, yeah, there's plenty of autonomy loss-related horror here.

I do wish that we had more examination of the mom-daughter relationship at the center of it all, though. A handful of flashbacks just doesn't fully cut it imo. Even if the goal of saving one's mom from a hellish sort of immortality is def a motivation that's easy to get emotionally invested in, as a viewer.

But yeah, overall still glad I ran off to watch this immediately after wrapping my remote workday!

Pssst so fun fact! This morning I woke up from a zombie apocalypse dream (It was stressful not because of the zombies, but because I had a scooter instead of a car and had to push myself on the tiny children's scooter AND avoid zombos at the same time isugfviu), and my moms immediate reaction to this was 'you know what you should do? you should watch a zombie movie' and I was like 'you're a genius' WHICH BRINGS ME TO THE POINT OF THIS ASK, BELOVED HORROR MUTUAL... any zombie movie recs? :)c

IM CACKLING. once i had a zombie dream that was very frightening and real-feeling, except for the fact that when i killed the zombies, they turned into spaghetti. still very frightening to me though.

OKAY, so the rezort is VERY GOOD. very fun, interesting concept for a zombie war!!! it used to be on netflix, but they took it off <//3 so you’d have to find it elsewhere :(( i love my chryzure au for it though !!!

world war z is a pretty decent zombie movie!!! i’ve actually never been frightened while watching it, because the lead is so competent that i never was scared (except when he had to sneak around some zombies). i love getting a glimpse of the beginning of the apocalypse, when you get the news reports of zombies but they haven’t reached your area yet. BIG fan. ((obviously this is based on the book, BUT this is NOTHING like the book. go into it expecting a typical zombie movie and you’ll be fine!!))

life after beth is fun zombie movie, where the guy’s gf comes back from the dead and slowly grows more and more feral. it’s a comedy!! i love the ending because it’s so ????? absolutely wild that everyone jst goes back to their daily lives.

i’ll stop now, but i’ll also mention: if you want an absolutely fucking idiotic and ridiculous zombie franchise to WATCH, the resident evil films are HORRIBLE. and amazing. and nothing like the video games. i’m obsessed with them, i will never recommend them, and i adore them.

Their groups always move with the trends and ARE trendsetters. They’ve had many groups with different aesthetics & storylines each becoming more interesting. Though the CEO is only 30, she has worked with many well-known artist and will continue to. The staff is open-minded and friendly. This is deemed one of the safest & best producing companies. Many artists have dreamed to be there and still do, no matter how successful they are.

Kaasism's History:

Kaasism was founded in the late 2000s and initially gained partial fame with the debut of their first girl group, Ethoria, on June 15th, 2009. However, the group faced challenges when a scandal involving member Gwan Eun-Joo's surprise marriage and pregnancy without prior consent from the company erupted in September 2017. The mishandling of the situation by Ora-nelle caused significant backlash, leading to the departure of popular members and eventually resulting in the company's bankruptcy.

Following this setback, Ora-nelle stepped down as the chairwoman and passed the reins to her youngest daughter, Kae-nelle. Under Kae-nelle's leadership, Kaasism experienced a revival with the successful debut of Midnight in December 2022. The one thing I can appreciate how the death of Lee's wife is that you never seen the pregnant woman being killed on screen, but just those thoughts that someone would kill women and children is horrific for a reason as payback. So brutally murdering any pregnant woman is the most horrific scenario you can imagine. And I'm really saying this as a person who doesn't like children. Killing children is the worst scenario to happen. So you know Myeong and Inbeon are those types of men.

But I can see the actor of Myeong is a wonderful villain, even though I hate his character. Like.. I love to hate his character type of character.

I used to read manga and I've never read webtoon comics, but maybe I should start again.. Read the mangas that are different from animes. Same with webtoon comics. Most of the Korean shows, usually those are shows, that I enjoy are based around webtoon comics. Especially! Especially if there is a chance the story, even some of the plot, for the Bloodhounds is difference between the comic and show. Not only for my curiosity. But to see what I might keep or remove for my BH story.

And.. As for spoilers. I wasn't intentionally spoiling you. There was the article mentioning the differences between the ending for the comics and show. I'll mention it again when you finish watching the show.

This is why I'm so angry about Ju's actor. If they had to rewrite those last two, maybe three, episodes.. I'm curious about different the plots would have been. And who knows about any more seasons either.

Besides anime. This is why I prefer Asian shows and movies over a lot of American media. Most of the time American media is just remakes of foreign media anyway. Like how Shameless was originally a British show before recreating it into an American show. Ew. Most American is unoriginal, boring, annoying, anything and everything I can think of that's negative. Asian media has better everything - plot, story, actors and even music too. Like.. A few years ago when Train To Busan came out, I remember someone mentioned an American version. Just no.

Maybe I should send some pictures later? At least the picture of how Takanori looks in those red clothes. That did gave me Daruma vibes.

Like the closets to vibes, for any certain styles, is watching the music videos. Like Keiji's style in One Time One Life is a favorite style for me in some of the videos I've seen. And I also liked everyone's style in the Higher Grounds music video, along with many different styles too.

I know what you mean.. People think girls can't be fighters, at least in a girly girls in the most feminine way type of girl. Kuina's an example.

Basically every time I create a female fighter, especially every smaller female character, "Character wanted her to be able to protect herself in a fight, for protection, for self defense." That's usually my reason.

I had figured out how my characters would fit into the actual plots yet though.. If she's a childhood friend to one of the boys, could she be at the boxing tournament? The restaurant? If she's childhood with Jin in this story, maybe she slept over Jin's place when Gun calls in the very next morning. Don't know yet. Many possibilities for this character.

Because that's the thing. You don't know much about Jin's past, or at the very least nothing about his family or other friends besides Gun.

Like you know he was a petty criminal before he went in the military, occasionally worked as bloodhound and loan shark for money during the times he didn't make money off boxing. And it was mentioned he met lots of people in the military would helped change his life around to be a better person. Before he met Gun, and became even better.

And that the lady who owns that very small restaurant is basically like family to him. But nothing much else is mentioned about Jin's past.

But if she's a childhood friend of Gun's. Gun-woo and his mother own a small café. Either they could be childhood friends since they were a young child, maybe they became friends if she worked at the café for a job or who knows what else scenario could happen between them.

I don't know.

I hate sneakers. I don't know why.. But maybe it's this autistic sensory for me. I think sneakers are too constricting for me. Yet I'd wear boots all the time, and I'd prefer flats over sneakers. It makes no sense at all for other people that I won't wear sneakers though. But that's just my reasons. I can walk better in flats and boots. But I never wear heels at all. No matter that high heeled shoes I'm wearing, I always twisted my ankle every time. Maybe heeled boots are fine. Maybe. But no heels.

And.. Yes. In most of the videos where she has background dancers, I noticed she gets picked up and carried around. She is only a hundred pounds, so it would be easier to having someone of her size around.

If I did the scenario where someone said that OC and Jin looked like a familial relation.. I guess it depends on how it was said? Or mentioned to them. Because if it was a situation like when Lee said it to Ju in the most joking way possible, then they might play along as a joke in very funny ways. But if it's a situation where they might argue about some things for whatever reason, then people just assume they're siblings.

Something like that. Maybe that could also be a reason why she dyes her hair, besides wanting to dye her hair different colors anyway. But! This is scenario would happen when Jin still has his curly brown hair.

And yes... Sangyi's 6'0 (183 cm), AleXa's only 4'11 (149 cm). Dohwan's 5'11 (180 cm). So that would be a funny scenario to compare them.

Possibly. If my AleXa character truly can't cook. That's a good thing to know Gun's mother could cook a whole extravagant meal that's really enough to feed an army (because of Gun and Jin). Gun and Jin seem, to me, that they can cook basic meals from what you seen in through the show. So if she's not eating healthy when they're not around to be able to cook for her. Either she may buy food from convenient stores, or eating fast food and takeout meals, or going to a restaurant to eat. But that also depends on her money though. Depends on what she is spending to eat. Or which places are open if written during pandemic is another reason too. So it depends on a lot of those situations.

Actually. That's another reason why I was curious about the comic.. In the comic, I don't think the pandemic happens. I don't know yet. But I was thinking about altering that part of the show. Maybe. Don't know yet. I'm not saying yes, but I'm not saying no either. Just I don't know.

Yeah! I forgot some names.. But yeah. I know the quiet hybrid girl just ends up living - that was the plot twist for the first season. The hybrid characters end up living because the parasite keeps evolving, and the same with the girl who was sexually abused - I think - since she never died yet either. And I know that bully guy bit the main boy before they fell over the building, being burned alive in the fire. Which does make me think of the quiet girl. The quiet girl survived the explosion. Would they mean the bully and (possibly) the main boy survives next season then? I'll rewatch that closer to when the new season is released then.

"Death for me." Why did I think of, "No soup for you." I don't know why that came to mind. But that's funny how I heard it sounding like that.

they cut the boys’ hair! i’m so upset. like they still look good, they look great but no! jin’s curls!! gun’s fringe in his face!! noooo!!

also i have one complaint: i wish jin’s scars were more visible. they’re very hard to see. gun’s scar is so clear that it feels like a rip to not make jin’s visible. you could argue jin just heals differently to gun, but ….. cmon. i kept pausing on his shirtless scenes to try and find them but they’re barely there.

also the drinking scene with gun was so funny. he’s just chugging and he’s barely even drunk at the end. jin’s just staring at him like ‘wtf?’.

oh i could absolutely not have handled seeing his wife killed. im also not a big fan of kids and dont ever want to be pregnant myself, but i also have a soft spot for pregnant women and kids and don’t want to see them injured or killed. it’s like, the one thing you don’t do.

myeong gil’s actor did an excellent job. he had the whole villain vibe down-pat.

i’m curious about what role ju would’ve had if she was still there. just how different were these episodes before the actress did what she did?

i’m mixed. i enjoy asian shows and american shows, it just takes me a while to find american shows that i enjoy because i’m not a huge fan of teen dramas - which is a lot of what western media is. i enjoy western crime shows, like veronica mars and leverage are two of my favourite shows that i rewatch a lot.

oh absolutely not. america would completely fuck up a train to busan remake. pretty sure america doesn’t even have a high speed rail system and also i wouldn’t want to watch an american version. the original version is excellent. and also the original has gong yoo and ma dong seok who are Literally Incredible.

i usually try and fit it my oc while i’m watching stuff. like sometimes i’ll just pause an episode and be like ‘where could i slot her in? what would she be doing here?’.

like in ep7, i can see her complaining about the alarm clock, training with her knives while the boys are lifting weights; she’d punch jae myeong for talking shit about her dad (even tho he didn’t know); idk that she’d drink with min beom and gang yong, but she’d probably give min beom medical advice the next morning since he was complaining about all his physical issues from stress over myeong gil.

since the boxing match seemed pretty closed off because of covid, maybe she was part-time working with one of the boys’ teams so she could be at the match? if she’s jin’s friend, does jin have another room or did she sleep on the couch or did they share the bed? if she’s jin’s friend, i could see her also being close with the spicy pork shop owner. like it’s ‘their place’ and they bring gun there because he’s their friend now.

jin is more of a closed book whereas a lot of gun’s past is put out there. like there’s a decent amount but it’s very basic information for jin.

if she’s gun’s friend, then his mother could view her as a daughter figure. they could’ve hung out a lot at the cafe. her working at the cafe is also a good idea. like su yeon hiring this girl and then she ends being close with gun. mum is matchmaking if you end up shipping them. and she also could’ve been there when the cafe was attacked and seen gun get his face cut up.

i love sneakers! i can’t stand anything with open toes, so i wear a lot of sneakers and low converse-style shoes. i own one or two pairs of boots but don’t often have a chance to wear them so they’re not really broken in; i don’t like having my ankles covered idk why. but yea, not a fan of heels or open-toed shoes.

i’ve been leaning towards blonde or blue hair for eun bi. or that silvery tone. so looks so good with all the colours she’s had tho. i love her red/orange/pink tones as well, but i’m feeling cooler toned hair for my oc.

they’re both so damn tall!

i was also wondering if gwinam and cheong san could’ve possibly survived. like i’m not overly hopeful since their deaths were this big end-of-season thing, but i’m curious. if gwinam doesn’t come back, i wonder who the new villain character will be. the zombies are like, an overall villain, but there needs to be a more specific one.

well my parents are big seinfeld fans, so it wouldn’t surprise me if some of their comedy rubbed off on me ashdjdlfl
