I would love a Klaus request for Klaus x fem! Where a witch puts a curse on y/n so that blood can not heal you and you get hurt used as a pawn between the vampires and witches. But Davina is a good friend to y/n so she lifts the curse and Klaus heals you before its too late <3

His Peace
I hope this is what you wanted. It’s short and sweet🤍 I know you said fem but it turns out GN without me realizing it.
Paring: Klaus Mikaelson x GN!reader
Warnings: none? Grammar errors probably
A human living in New Orleans was a bad idea. You moved here under the impression of a safe new environment but then you met Davina, your best friend. She did her best to keep you away from life after explaining the supernatural world but Klaus found out about you, you were his bait.
You didn’t fight much, you stayed quiet most of the time in the room Klaus trapped you in. It was filled with old books that didn’t excite you but it was all you had. You didn’t understand the point of your entrapment as he treated you well, you were just leverage.
“I hope your stay is well,” Klaus said as he opened the door.
You look up at him, “would be better if I had some comfy clothes instead of 3-day-old jeans.” You say with distaste, not bothered by Klaus's presence.
Klaus couldn’t understand you. He walks back out confused by you. You weren’t afraid of him like most people were. Klaus comes back with a pair of sweats and a sweater, “why aren’t you afraid?” He asks.
You look at him, “I’ve seen far darker things than this Niklaus. You’ve treated me better than most men I’ve met in my life.” You tell him then looking at the clothes, “thank you.” You say softly.
“Care to explain further?” He requested.
“Care to let me go home?” You questioned him.
That was four years ago, now Klaus was the love of your life.
Klaus cherished you, you were his saving grace. Since you came into his life, his attitude changed for the better. He stopped the plotting and scheming of witches, wanting nothing more than to have a safe life with you.
But that didn’t mean Klaus didn’t have any more enemies. Unknowingly, witches put a curse on you, not able to heal with the blood of a vampire, then you go missing one day, waking up chained in a cell in the cemetery of New Orleans. “What do you want?” You ask weakly. Unable to move, or breathe. You were slowly dying.
It seems the witches weren’t done with Klaus, using you as a pawn. It sends him into a frenzy, demanding everyone to look for you, Elijah and Davina find you but it’s nearing the end for you. Blood drains from you, you're too weak. Elijah forces the blood in your throat but to no avail, you don’t heal, “why isn’t this working!” Elijah yells.
“It seems they've been cursed, only the act of a black object can loft the curse.” A witch taunts Elijah. Davina looks up, tears pooling in her eyes, and she’s angry.
She kills the witch on the spot. “Take em to my home,” Davina yells. Klaus meets Elijah there, and soon after Davina is there searching her room for her black object, the only one she keeps. She finds it, a small silver dagger.
Klaus holds your limp body, your heart slows by the minute. Davina rips off your necklace and places the dagger over it. She whispers the spell, even Klaus and Elijah can’t hear.
Klaus began to cry, lose tears fall from his face landing onto your face. “It’s done,” Davina says. In an instant, Klaus shoves his bleeding wrist in your mouth. The blood trickled down your throat. Klaus is sobbing.
Davina watching in shock, the love Klaus holds for you is true, she’s always hated him for what he has done, never supporting this relationship but now, she holds nothing but respect for him, watching as he cries for you to come back. She shared a glance with Elijah, he thinks the same.
Slowly, the color returns to your face, and you began coughing violently. Klaus holds you against his chest, patting your back lightly like he would a child. Davina lets out a breath of air, relieved to see you breathing.
Klaus tightly holds onto you, as if you would walk away from him, he never wanted to let you go. “Nik?” You asked, your voice hoarse.
“You're alright love, I’m here, your okay.” He says rocking you back and forth. You cry into his chest holding onto him tightly.
Klaus makes a decision right there that you two are leaving this town, your life is far too precious to be in a place like this. He can’t afford to lose the love of his life. His future, you are his peace.

Never To Plan
Klaus Mikaelson!Father X Son!Reader Damon Salvatore X Male!Reader
Word Count: 1069
Requested: @emaz-0225
Request: Hello I love your work but can you do a imagine where your the son of Katherine and Klaus and your just like them and your best friend is Kai Parker and your trying to get him out of the Prison World. You come into Mystic Falls and you See your old friend Stefan Dating your moms look alike and you fall for Damon and you guys start dating. Klaus comes into town and your thrown into WWW 3 so you go to Europe and then called back to the drama when Hayley is pregnant and you get along with Josh and Hayley and Davina but when Hope is born you sacrifice yourself to The crazy Aunt but you find out Damon is with Elena now and you turn off your emotions
Tumblr media
You had come to Mystic Falls in search of a way to get your friend out of the Prison World but you ended up getting a little side tracked with Damon Salvatore catching your attention your plan stopped dead in it’s tracks, well kind of, you were still looking for ways to get him out but you were hitting more roadblocks then you wanted. That being said the real problem was your father, you were thrown into a fight you wanted no part in and so with no way to save both sides you take a step back and instead go to Europe in hopes of getting your search for Kai back on track and finding what you had really travelled all this time for.
That was how you found yourself in a small cafe in the east of London on the phone to your father who was in New Orleans “well what a surprise, I didn’t expect to hear from you.” You said as you answered the call. “I need your help.” He said. “Is that so?” You asked, taking a sip of the hot drink in front of you as you winked at the waitress who brought it over. “You have a sister.” He said. “You know that doesn’t surprise me.” You mumbled, you could feel his glare from across the sea. “What does that mean?” He asked. “We both know what that means.” You shuffled in your seat “what does your daughter have to do with me? What do you suddenly need your estranged son for?” “I need to show someone what a true king looks like and what his prince is capable of.” Klaus answered. “This king is you?” You downed the last of the drink before nodding in thanks to the girl who had served you before standing up. “And you, the prince.” Klaus confirmed. “No need to flatter me your highness, I know I’m only a prince in name.” You said as you walked back to the hotel that you were staying in. “Then prove to them that you are not.” He hung up the phone after that.
When you got to New Orleans a lot had already happened but the only thing that you did know was that it was that your father offered you a chance to make a mess and you had been bored for a few months now. “So you’re Marcellus, correct?” You asked as you looked at the man standing in the middle of the courtyard. “Who are you?” He asked. “(Y/N).” Rebekah said from her place next to Marcel. “Auntie Bekah, don’t tell me you’d abandon your family for a man?” You teased as you stepped closer. “He thinks that you would be enough to beat every vampire in this city?” Marcel asked, drawing your attention back to him. “Sunshine, I was born better than any vampire, werewolf or witch that you can throw at me but please do try.” You smirked “where are your forces anyway I’m itching to snap a neck and if it’s not them it will be you.” Someone grabbed you from behind, throwing you back into the wall “here we go.” You easily ripped apart the first few men next attacking together and getting a few hits in before you took them down, your hand in the chest of the last to attack you before you heard. “Hold on a moment.” Klaus said as he walked into the room “Marcel it seems that your men aren’t up to the challenge.” “Klaus.” Marcel glared. “Here I have a coin!” Klaus put it down on the floor “whoever picks up this coin will be spared his game!” “Game?” You squeezed the heart that resided in the chest you had punched through “I don’t think they are having much fun.” “But you are.” Klaus smirked, your eyes drawn to Rebekah as she whispered something to Marcel, you watched carefully as he stepped forward and bent, picking up the coin, you smirked as you pulled your hand from the man's chest and let him fall. “Nicely done your highness, I’ll be leaving then?” You asked and Klaus smirked. “Why would the prince leave his kingdom?”
It was years before real trouble found your family, you don’t know why it took so long but as your aunt claimed right to you or your sister, you decided that it would be you that she took, you had no intention of giving someone else in your place and so you left with her before anyone could stop you.
You honestly expected it to take longer, for her to break you but it only took her a few weeks to find out what you had left for your family what you hoped to one day go back to and took you to Mystic Falls told you to go and see the man that you had left, you walked into the boat house happier than you had in years and it was torn from you in seconds “(Y/N)?” Damon asked, you swallowed as you looked between the two, Damon and Elena more friendly then they were when you had left. “How long?” You asked. “(Y/N)-” “How long?” You asked again, fists curled so tight that you thought you might break your own hand. “You know what it doesn’t matter because I was told by so many people that you would break me-” “Break you!?” Damon asked. “You were the one that left!” “To protect every one of you because if my father had made me fight with him, you would have likely been the only one I would have convinced him to leave alive.” You answered. “Nice to know that you can think the worst of me.” “I-” “You had everything that I had left to give so if you’ll excuse me I have a prison to get back to.” You muttered. “(Y/N) wait!” Elena was the one that called out this time but when you turned back they all saw it, the dead look behind your eyes. “If you ever come near me again, either one of you, I will take the part of you that you love the most and twist it into your worst nightmare.” You threatened. “Come (Y/N), we have work to do.” Dahlia said as she gestured for you to follow her, you turned leaving the two alone in the house.

Kol Mikaelson's Daughter Headcanons
Requested by: @katherinereilly19
Here lies my Masterlist
You were adopted by Kol and Davina Claire-Mikaelson at age six from a Catholic orphanage run by nuns who all thought you were some sort of demon child.
See, like your adopted father, you were a witch and had come into your power rather early. Davina had been sensing some odd power flares in the area and, when she and Kol had gone to investigate, there you were - a sweet, little bundle of mischief with more power than you knew what to do with.
To say that you had Kol wrapped around your little finger from the first second he saw you would be no exaggeration. Seriously.
Kol had never thought himself fit to be a husband, let alone a parent. It still baffles him some days that Davina agreed to marry him - most days in fact - it just seemed too good to be true. They traveled the world for a while and then… Well, Davina, she…
She said she wanted kids.
She didn't say that she used to want kids or that she would have wanted them had she married someone else. Davina said she wanted to be a mom. With him. She said she wanted to have a kid with him and she wanted Kol to be that kid's dad.
At first, he almost thought it was a joke. Who in their right mind would trust him with a child? But no, Davina was serious.
And it terrified him.
Kol is well aware of just how miserably his parents screwed up their job and he's pretty sure he couldn't do any worse but that doesn't mean he'd do well.
But the guy took just one look at you and he knew without a doubt that there was no alternative realm, no obscure future, and no minuscule probability in which he could cause you any harm.
For the first little while, you were convinced (thanks to the nuns) that you would have to be an absolute angel of a child in order to be wanted by your new parents. You helped clean things, refrain from using your magic, made your bed, brushed your teeth, and never asked for anything.
Three months in, you dropped a plate and broke down crying, begging Mr. and Mrs. Claire-Mikaelson (because you wouldn't dare call them mom and dad) not to send you back.
What began as your average Tuesday afternoon turned into a deeply formative experience when Kol sat you on his knee, looked you in the eyes, and said:
"Y/N, darling, I want you to listen to me very closely, alright? There is absolutely nothing on this earth you can do or say that will make your mother and I love you any less. There is no such thing as good enough - there is no bar you have to meet - only what you are. Now, a plate is infinitely replaceable, but you are our daughter and I will love you until the end of time. That makes you infinitely more valuable than a plate. Okay?"
"O-okay… dad?"
That was a day you never forgot as you grew older.
Speaking of growing, no matter how old you get, Kol can and will pick you up by the ankle and hold you upside down. It never gets old.
Also, piggy-back rides.
You did go through a phase where you were convinced there was a monster in your closet.
"Dad! There's a monster in my closet and it wants to eat my toes!"
"Really? Well, I must applaud the audacity."
There were quite a few nights you spent cuddled up between them as Davina braided your hair and Kol told you a story until you fell asleep.
Kol always refers to you and Davina as "his girls".
He's always willing to play with you, whether it be a game of tag or a complex drama plot with your dolls. (His personal favorite was when you decided to reenact the French Revolution in Barbie form.)
Daddy-Daughter Days are 100% a thing. The two of you are huge movie and arcade goers. Not to mention huge fantasy nerds. From Deltora Quest to Harry Potter to the freaking Wheel of Time - your fascination with the fantastical never fades as you grow. You never thought yourself too old to be read to at night, so Kol never stopped the tradition.
You're a little (a lot) spoiled. But not in a bad way. You're not ungrateful but let's just say you have quite a few pets.
Auntie Bex is always more than willing to babysit when your parents want some time to themselves. You remind her of Kol when he was a kid and she adores that.
Play-Dates with your cousin Hope mean quite a few headaches for your uncles Klaus and Elijah. Aunt Hayley thinks you're absolutely hilarious while Aunt Cami is convinced you're like 4 different varieties of insane. She might have a point there.
When you're old enough to be in school, you can always count on your parents to help you with your homework. You never would have made it through middle or high school without your dad, Kol is insanely good at math and chemistry. However, when it comes to anything to do with history or government, he passes the torch to Davina because even though he lived through it, he literally never paid enough attention to remember anything.
Parent-Teacher conferences are always interesting.
"Y/N is so intelligent. Truly a joy to have in class."
"Is she now?"
Neither of them buys it for a second. You have a mischievous streak a mile long, the teacher just doesn't know that you're the one putting tacks on her chair. Kol is honestly proud and Davina may try to be the voice of reason but she can't help laughing at just how alike father and daughter turned out to be.
Now, if Hope is "miraculously well adjusted" then you're probably something like a thirty-year-old in an eight-year-old body. You're like the most chill child perhaps ever. However, just like your father, your maturity level varies with the situation.
For example, Klaus once decided it would be a good idea to whip out the "You're not even a real Mikaelson" card at a family reunion. It wasn't long before Davina had thrown Klaus into a wall and Kol and Marcel were at each other's throats.
You honestly weren't even bothered. You knew your parents loved you and that was enough so you simply said:
"I'm sorry you feel that way."
And went back to eating your dinosaur chicken nuggets.
Marcel - apparently still a little touchy on that subject - was the last to sit down again. Little did he know just how proficient you had become with teleporting objects. Naturally, you were smirking when the whoopie cushion did its noble work.
Kol is terrified that he'll lose touch with you as you grow older.
This fear never comes to fruition.
The trust between you and your parents is something every other child ever would envy. They trust your judgment and, in turn, you trust the very few restrictions they put in place for you. It's crazy because they honestly never get mad. Like ever.
However, their disappointment is the worst thing you'll ever endure.
They told you not to go out one night because an old enemy of Klaus' was wandering around town. You went out anyway and you were attacked. Now, you were powerful enough to fight off your assailant and kill him, but you didn't come out of that fight unscathed. You had to limp home and tell your dad what had happened.
"Are you mad at me?"
"No. I've done much worse in my life, for much dumber reasons. To be mad at you would make me a hypocrite. I just know you're better than this - Y/N, you've shown me that you're better than this. I'm not angry with you. I'm just extraordinarily disappointed."
It happens only once and never again.
Growing up with those two for parents ensured that you quickly mastered your magic and became one of the most powerful and skilled witches of all time. But don't think for a second that you would ever be used. They would never allow that to happen.
As you reach middle and high school, a rumor begins going around that your dad is a vampire. You just snort really loud and make no further comment. It leaves everyone wondering.
First boyfriend?
Heaven help the poor sod.
"If you ever lay your hands on my daughter against her will, you will find that you no longer have hands. I will use the bones of them to fashion myself a new pen, with which I shall write your death certificate. Do I make myself clear?"
Once you're old enough, the basement becomes something of a witchy lab space.
Explosions are… frequent.
*Coughing* "Thank goodness your mother wasn't home for that one."
"Think again, Mikaelson."
"Oh shi-"
"Uh… Hi mom!"
You're probably the healthiest Mikaelson.
When the time comes for you to graduate, it's a hard dose of reality for Kol. He understands he has to let you live your life and he would never dream of taking that away as it was taken from him, but it's just hard.
You'll never stop being his little girl.
Special thanks to: @her-violent-delights

Third person's POV | 2 hours earlier
The original hybrid left the party in a hurry, loosening his tie as he practically ran towards the parking lot. His younger brother was right behind him, barely catching up with him.
"Nik! Wait a minute!" Kol screamed, grabbing his brother's elbow and stopping him halfway. He completely ignored his hostile, stern look and continued. "We need to think it over."
"All we need to do is get rid of him from our lives once and for all!"
"We can't do it alone. We need Freya…"
"Freya will never stand against him! We're on our own unless you're a coward." the man cut him off, yanking his arm out of his grip.
"Well, let's at least take Elijah…"
"I'm not going to ruin our brother's wedding day! I already killed him once; I can do it again. We have to hurry before he calls for backup. Will you help me, or should I rely on myself?" Kol sighed as he studied his brother's determined face. If they had attacked out of the blue, they might have been able to defeat him together while he was still weakened.
"All right. But we're keeping Davina out of it."
"As well as Y/N." they nodded to each other and walked hand in hand towards the parking lot.
Klaus had to do it quietly. His little witch needed a break, and a fight with the Mikaelsons' psychopathic father wouldn't help her at all (or convince the woman to stay in New Orleans much longer than she planned). Elijah deserved a respite from his problems, and so did Rebekah. Nor could he rely on Freya's strength and power forever. After all, she wasn't immortal like them; she had her limits like any witch. Kol and he had to deal with it on their own. For everyone's sake.
"Do you even know how he managed to get back to the surface of the earth? I thought you killed him for good last time."
"Believe me, I'm just as surprised as you are."
"You think it's the mother's work? She has regained her powers and is resurrecting all our enemies from the other side?"
"You tell me. You spent a few months there before we finally begged your witch to help us bring you back. What were our parents' moods?"
"You know, I tried not to get too close to them. But I met your father; he's actually a nice guy."
"What did you say?" he asked in shock, staring at his brother in pure surprise.
"Yeah, I was surprised too when he saved me from Mikael and introduced himself as your dad. We had a bit of a fight at first, but he turned out to be a good guy."
"You met… my father."
"Maybe it's not a good time, but I think you should know that. If he somehow magically appears here, and I'm pretty sure he'll do it; he's said many times that he'll get the fuck out of here as soon as he gets a chance, you shouldn't hurt him. Hope deserves at least one normal grandpa. Ansel would be a good fit for this; he was babbling about her all the time, and my head was bursting as he raved about her. You know I love her, but how much can you talk about a baby? Hey? Nik?" he shook his brother's shoulder as he sat silently in the driver's seat, not bothering to start the car.
"How did he know about Hope?"
"He's been keeping an eye on you since… you know. He probably knows everything about you, which is actually as scary as it is cute."
Klaus continued to listen to Kol's story in silence. As he drove the car, he pondered the new message. His father watched over him.
His real father.
The one who supposedly abandoned him and didn't care for him...
Could that be true?
Could he believe it?
Allowing himself to live a boyish fantasy of having a father who truly cares for him? He could believe that Esther would be able to lie to him about his real father's feelings toward him, and it was hardly possible that Kol could be so cruel. So, could Klaus have been so lucky after all?
Could he have had the love of his true father, the beloved daughter who was the light in his dark life, and the love and devotion of a woman he wanted more than anything in this world?
Could Klaus, after so many years of pain, sorrow, and fury, be given such enormous blessings?
He found out a few hours later.
He found out a few hours later, when he and Kol were returning as fast as they could to their family after Mikael nearly killed them two. However, it wasn't just the two of them in the car on their way back...
~•♤♤♤•~
"Father! Come, come wherever you are!"
It was supposed to go fast and smoothly. Klaus was supposed to act as bait (after arguing with Kol for several hours, they played paper, rock, scissors, and he lost… 10 times), and Kol was meant to heroically step in with a white oak stake and try to kill their father.
Piece of cake. Nothing possible could go wrong.
But it did. Very, very quickly.
They underestimated Mikael's ability to win people over. While Klaus was able to single-handedly take down his father's band of minions and come out of the fight uninjured, the fight against Mikael proved to be more of a challenge. Especially since he had a bit of an advantage over them...
"You're alone, boy? Did your siblings finally abandon you?"
"Don't worry about them. I don't need anyone else to help me send you back to hell."
"Very courage from your side to assume you can kill me all alone. Or stupid. I think the second one suits you much better. You didn't change at all, Niklaus. Thousand years, and you're still a quick-tempered, impulsive boy seeking the approval of others. I guess you've never learned from your mistakes. But it's even better for me. It'll be so easy to finally end your miserable life."
"Thousand years of trying, and you were never close enough. What makes you sure this time will be different?"
"This time, I know your weakness." Klaus' heart stopped for a moment in fear. He couldn't talk about Hope. His daughter was safe with Hayley, the pack, surrounded by Freya and Y/N with all sorts of protective spells.
"I don't have any."
"Don't you?" he looked at him carefully with a sinister smirk on his lips. "Then let me remind you. The blonde one, powerful witch you've met not so long ago. Y/N, right? Her blood must taste ambrosial with such magic running through her veins. She would make such a beautiful corpse, don't you think? "Klaus' composure dropped to zero, and his and Kol's plan went to hell. No one will threaten his witch, especially Mikael.
Without thinking, he lunged at the man, trying to punch him in the face. Mikael braced for his outburst, grabbed his fist, and twisted his arm. Klaus shouted, twisting his hand out of his grip, and pushing him to the boxes behind him. Mikael staggered, trying to regain his balance. The hybrid took advantage of this by throwing a metal rod at him and speeding towards him with the intention of snapping his neck. The older man grabbed the object flying towards him, pierced Klaus' side, and pushed, sending him crashing to the floor.
Klaus pulled the metal out of his body, but the wound on his side wouldn't heal. Suddenly he felt as if his whole body was on fire; every nerve in his body shot through with unimaginable pain. He felt as if his mother had put a curse on him, cutting him off from his werewolf side.
Suddenly, a circle of fire formed around him, and none other than the mother of the originals emerged from the shadows, muttering a familiar spell that began the 1,000-year search for the doppelgänger and the moonstone. Panic rose in him, along with the pain he felt.
NO! He couldn't go through it again!
"Who'll fight for you now, boy?!" Mikael shouted, walking slowly over to him and pulling a white oak stake from his coat pocket, patiently waiting for his wife to finish her spell and get rid of her unwanted son from their lives once and for all.
"I will." Kol stepped out of the shadows, pushing his father away from the circle where his older brother was trapped. Mikael laughed, looking at his son with contempt.
"I was wondering which of you would come to rescue this abomination. I never expected you'd be the first one to protect him. Wasn't he the one who locked you in a coffin for centuries? Will you defend him after what he did to you? You know best of all what he's capable of. Don't you want revenge? To see him suffer for all his sins against you? Join us, my son. Let's do justice to him together."
"Forgive me, father. I'm not on the retirement team." Mikael's smirk fell, and an ominous, dark look returned in its place.
"So you will watch your failure."
Mikael threw himself at his son in an instant, overpowering him. He turned his back to him and clamped his hand around his neck, forcing him to watch as his brother writhed on the floor in pain, occasionally getting close enough to the fire to sear him. Kol shuddered.
"In a moment, your mother will finish reciting the spell, and your treacherous brother will become nothing but a vampire again, and then... I will pierce him through before your eyes, son, so that you will remember once and for all how those who oppose me end up. Maybe then you'll join us."
"I'd rather die." Kol growled, trying to wriggle out of his father's grip.
"So you will."
And then, when everything seemed over for the two siblings and all hope of survival was lost, the appearance of one person changed the fate of the originals.
Suddenly, a wooden bolt shot out of the darkness of the building and pierced Esther's stomach, causing her to break her spell. The woman fell to the floor, screaming. Another wooden stake flew towards Mikael, who was forced to let go of Kol and catch the flying piece of wood before it hit him.
Klaus stopped shaking in pain, taking quick, heavy breaths. He used his remaining strength to look at his savior.
It couldn't be true…
"Get away from my son!"
Ansel jumped off the container, falling right in front of Klaus and shielding him with his own body. He held his crossbow high, aiming it at an angry Mikael. Kol stood beside him, handing him a white oak stake, which Mikael dropped and took out their weapons himself.
"I've already killed you once!"
"And I can already tell you that this time the ending will be different. Now, get out of here, or I will skin you for what you have done to MY SON."
"What can you do to me?! I'm a vampire, the original! Some weak werewolf can't kill me!"
"Be careful. That weak werewolf has many friends, and some of them..." Mikael and Esther cried out in pain as they fell to their knees on the floor. "Are very powerful witches. Touch my son again, and I'll kill you right away, without a blink. But for all of this, you've already done to him..." more bolts fired from his crossbow, wounding the parents of the originals. Most of them were aimed at the seething with anger Mikael.
"Kol. Take your brother out. I'll join you in a second."
"Are you sure, old man?"
"Yes. Just give me a few seconds." Kol nodded uncertainly to him, not wanting to leave Ansel alone with his parents at all. But the younger original carefully took his exhausted brother into his arms and carried him outside at vampire speed.
The werewolf took a few steps towards the kneeling two, firing the few bolts he had left at the man. Esther screamed shrilly beside them as the witches continued to torture her with their magic.
"I'll make sure you suffer in ways even your cruel, psychopathic mind can't imagine and believe me... a thousand years on the other side teaches great creativity and patience, Mikael." Ansel drove one of the stakes through Esther's heart and watched with satisfaction as the woman who had kept his only son away from him fell to the floor dead. "He'll suffer one more time because of you, and I'll make sure you don't get any peace even on the other side. I hope you understand."
"This whore of his will die before he gets to her! You won't protect him from that."
"We'll see. Again, please!" Mikael howled louder in pain as the witches strengthened their attack. Ansel smiled slightly.
Ansel left the warehouse, leaving the vampire writhing in pain behind him. He had more important things on his mind than torturing him. His son needed him, and he wasn't going to spend a single minute doing anything other than helping him.
After all, family was the most important thing. For always and forever.

Kol drove the car, watching the two men in the back seat in the mirror. Ansel told him to get back to their siblings as soon as possible, especially Y/N.
The original had already learned on the other side that it was better to follow his orders. Ansel usually knew what he was doing, and after saving Kol countless times, he had the younger vampire's full trust.
Klaus could be a little more like him.
"What are you laughing at there, jester?" Ansel asked, looking up from his sleeping son and noticing the smirk on Mikaelson's face.
"Don't get offended, but he is nothing like you."
"I know, and I'm proud of him. He's his own person."
"Elijah will be delighted when you tell him that. Another believer in Nik's redemption."
"He is my son. Of course I believe in him and want the best for him." Kol's face morosed as he remembered how, just an hour ago, his father had tried to kill him and nearly ended his brother's life. "Don't make such a face. He is not your father. No father would make his child suffer. He doesn't deserve your attention, thoughts, or anything."
"But he's right about one thing. We are monsters."
"No. You're all lost. You may be a thousand years old, but really you are like children who have not been taught how to be adults. You know no other way to deal with your emotions than to succumb to this bloodlust. The worst of all is that you've allowed yourselves to be told that you are monsters when everything you do is out of your will to survive or strong feelings."
"A living ticking time bomb, eh?"
"If that's what you want to call it." Ansel murmured, shifting his gaze to his only son. Kol glanced at the two men in a car mirror.
Klaus will be damn surprised to see such a caring and tender look in his biological father's eyes. But he deserved it. After everything Miakel and Esther had put him through—what they all went through because of their parents—they deserved a normal, healthy relationship.
Kol would give anything to have someone like a werewolf for a dad.
"He needs you. Don't fuck it up." instead of admitting this childish desire to himself, he decided to warn Klaus' father.
"I'm not going to waste my chance, Kol. This is rarely: to come back from the other side."
"I'm still going to keep my eye on you. Especially around Hope."
"I would expect nothing less from you."
"Good. Wake up our princess. We're almost there."

They expected it to be hard. Some hidden group of vampires and witches ready to attack at any moment, maybe a few deadly traps await them.
They wouldn't have expected the house to go up in flames. Vampires didn't usually die from fire... but humans did.
Klaus got out of the car the moment he saw the burning building. He didn't care that Kol hadn't stopped the car yet or that his newly found father was sitting right next to him.
All the original hybrid had on his mind was getting to Y/N as fast as he could.
He screamed her name and ran like a madman through the collapsing house. She had to be around here somewhere, unless she evacuated. The man did not allow even the slightest thought that his beloved could be trapped in the building, dead from the fire. He had to find her, lock her in a safe place, defeat Mikael, and return to his love, only to finally reveal his feelings to her and keep her with him where she belonged. There was no other way out of this situation.
However, Klaus, despite his best efforts, found someone completely different.
Katherine Pierce-Mikaelson lay unconscious among the collapsing ruins of the hall. Klaus stopped. Dark thoughts flooded his mind. How easy it would be to leave her here once and for all and let some stray plank fall and pierce her stoned heart. He shook his head.
Whether he wanted it or not, she was part of the family now. And he never left them behind. (Also, Y/N wouldn't approve of him leaving her friend to die. Elijah wouldn't be too pleased either.)
He took her in his arms and carried her out of the building. He laid her down on the grass, checking to see if she was injured.
"NIKLAUS! KATERINA!" Klaus raised his head, turning his gaze to his brother, who was running towards them. "Is she okay?! Where is Kol?! KOL?!" the elder brother rushed home after making sure his wife and Klaus were okay.
Tumblr media
The hybrid caught up with him and grabbed his jacket, stopping him from entering the building.
"He is fine. Have you seen Y/N?" Elijah fell silent, looking away from his younger brother. Klaus grabbed him by the shoulders and forced him to look into his eyes. "WHERE IS Y/N?!" he shouted, shaking him.
"Niklaus..." the hybrid didn't even bother to listen to him.
He let go of the lapels of his jacket and ran towards the collapsing building, but before he could get close to the fire, his brother caught him. Klaus tried to break free from his grip. They both fell to the ground, fighting until the younger original snapped the older's neck.
"NIK!" his sister's scream stopped him from going home again, he ran towards her. Rage and fear shone in his eyes.
"WHERE IS SHE?!" he shouted at the jittery blonde. He had to get to Y/N, and his sister's tearful, devastated face didn't show she was safe. His anxiety and panic only increased as he searched Rebekah's eyes for any answer.
"She... she is in our house." Klaus had never felt such need and blissful relief flood him so quickly. Unfortunately, it left him as fast as it came. "She is in transition."
The original froze. He felt as if the whole world stopped around him for a moment. The one thing Klaus wasn't sure how Y/N would take in their (then very likely) future relationship was her possible transformation into a vampire. Now that it was actually happening, Klaus worried what his beloved's reaction would be.
"What? But... how?"
"Our father's minions attacked the building. Elijah and I managed to escape in time and evacuate Freya. Katherine was supposed to join us with Y/N, but they never showed up. We went back into the building and found her with a metal rod in her chest. We thought she was dead, but Freya did some weird tricks on her, and it turned out she had vampire blood in her system. Your blood, Nik. I'm so sorry."
"They attacked Katerina. They snapped her neck when she tried to help Y/N. We need to find them and Mikael. They will die for what they did." he growled, preparing a very savage plan of attack in his head.
He would destroy those who hurt his love. They will be begging him to send them to hell quickly.
"Klaus! You knew that, right? That our father returned. Is that why you disappeared with Kol? You went to kill him on your own and you lost. You provoked him, so now it's our fault that Y/N is dead."
"YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT MY PLANS WERE!" he shouted furiously. Rebekah had no right to say that when all he was doing was trying to protect Y/N and his family.
"THAT'S THE PROBLEM, NIK, IT'S ALWAYS YOUR PLANS AND NEVER OURS! And now Y/N is dead and it's all your fault!"
"SHE'S NOT DEAD! SHE WILL BE WITH US FOREVER AFTER TURNING INTO A VAMPIRE!"
"SHE WILL NEVER FEED!"
Her sudden statement restored complete silence, broken only by the sound of the burning house. Klaus quickly came to the conclusion that the sound of the fire burning in the fireplace, instead of bringing him relief and peace as before, would become the cause of his anxiety, a memory of the fear and horror he felt today. Another trauma for the collection.
"What?"
"She won't be one of us. She will die, Nik, and you will have the blood on your hands of the only person who has ever truly loved you."
"YOU'RE LIAR! SHE WOULD NEVER LEAVE ME!" he shouted, feeling the tears start to gather dangerously in his eyes.
"Are you sure?"
Klaus screamed, rushing furiously at his sister, but a strong hand on his shoulder stopped him.
"Be calm, son. Don't do something you'll regret. We'll go in turn. We'll kill Miakel first and then deal with Y/N, right?"
"And who the bloody hell are you?" Rebekah asked, eyeing the newcomer suspiciously. Especially when her brother hadn't ripped his arm off or maimed him after he touched him.
"Rebekah, this is my father... Rebekah!" Klaus screamed as the blonde vampire walked over to the older man and slapped him across the face.
"It's okay, Niklaus. I think I deserved it." Ansel groaned in pain, clutching his sore cheek.
"What do you want from him?" she growled, shielding her brother from him with her body. The Mikaelsons' experience had taught them to be careful in their dealings with their parents. They didn't have a very good experience. Klaus, on the other hand, rolled his eyes at his sister's protectiveness. If Ansel wanted to hurt him, he would have done so long ago; he certainly wouldn't have saved him from the clutches of death. Which didn't mean he trusted his father. He would have to deserve it and prove his good intentions to the sibling.
"I want to protect him. He's my son."
Klaus' heart beat faster. His son. It had been a long time since anyone had said that about him (he doubted he'd ever heard those words spoken with such pride and feeling). After all, Klaus wasn't made of stone. He could pretend his father's attitude didn't bother him, but he guessed they all knew how it affected the cruel hybrid. But before their big family meeting about Ansel could take place, they had to defeat their parents. And nothing unites and strengthens family bonds like hunting down their enemies.
"I threw the newlyweds in the car! If you've finished this dramatic scene, get your ass to the car before we all burn up from this fire, behind you, idiots!"
Maybe Klaus would have taken his father into the family after all. He would make a great replacement for his annoying little brother...

Y/N's POV
I groaned as I slowly began to regain consciousness.
My head was bursting like hell, my throat felt like a desert, and the lights of the New Orelan lanterns that flooded into the room blinded me, causing me additional pain.
I felt like I had a huge, unforgettable hangover.
However, I don't remember much from last night. I guess I got drunk at the wedding faster than I thought and ended up in Klaus' bedroom again. At least he cleaned up after our recent… activities.
I slowly got out of bed. The world seemed to spin in my head. I closed my eyes, trying to compose myself. Suddenly, I heard an awfully loud jazz band playing in the streets of New Orleans. I swallowed, wondering who normal plays at night under other people's windows.
Someone entered the house with a bang, slamming the door mercilessly behind them. I hissed, clutching my throbbing head in pain. I've never had such a big hangover in my life.
Klaus came in covered in blood. Instantly, I felt the excitement flooding into my body, and my tongue moved to wet my chapped lips. I felt hotter in the room. My god, I fucked him only 24 hours ago, I couldn't be such a whore to him.
Tumblr media
"Y/N." he sighed, standing stunned in the doorway. Well, he probably wasn't expecting me in his bedroom again.
"After all the noise outside, I can tell you didn't get rid of those musicians after all. Who did you fight? And please don't tell me it was Elijah." I asked, trying to control my sudden and unexpected turning on by the hybrid in the blood. Fucking hormones before a period.
"Noise?"
"Do not change the subject. With your super-hearing, there's no way you can't hear it." the man gave me a concerned look as he approached me. "Okay, I'm starting to worry. What happened to you?"
"Y/N..." he whispered, reaching for me, but I took a step away from him and wrinkled my nose.
"There's no way I'm letting you hug me or even touch me when you're covered in blood. Know my good heart, I'll clean you." I made a familiar flick of my wrist, but to my surprise, nothing happened… my magic didn't even move in my veins. I tried again, but nothing happened. I transferred my annoyed, hostile gaze to the original. What right did he have to lock me up in his house and block access to my magic?! "What the hell have you done to my magic?! Why did you keep it from me?! What kind of game are you playing right now?!"
"Y/N, I need you to calm down..."
"DON'T TOUCH ME! What did you do to me?! Why can't I feel my power?!"
"I'm so sorry, love."
"No… you can't just imply that… No." I shook my head in disbelief, unable to accept what he was trying to tell me. He must have been making cruel fun of me. But his painful, worried expression indicated otherwise.
"You're in a transition, Y/N."
"No, no, no. I can't! I didn't even drink a vampire's blood or die!"
"You drank from me last night, and today at the wedding, my father's minions disrupted the party. They started a fire and…"
"NO! You're lying! I can't be a vampire!"
"Y/N, please just listen to me..." he took a step towards me, but I backed away from him in panic, afraid to be so close to the man covered in blood... I could smell the wonderful, intoxicating smell of the red liquid on him.
"DON'T come closer. It is impossible. Are you playing some sick game, or is that some fucking plan of yours? A way to get me stuck here?"
"You think I'd stoop so low that I could do something like that to you? One of the few people I care about more than myself?!"
"You tell me. I don't know you."
"Do you really want to argue the same thing over and over again? When do we both know the truth?"
"I'm in transition, I'm scared, I'm angry, and I feel like my whole body is on fire with pain, and you're still able to bring everything back to our fucked-up relationship? You are an unbelievable narcistic psycho."
"Well, I know a very simple solution to your problems." he walked over to his desk and opened a drawer, leaving a bloodstain on the wood. He turned back to me, tossing me a bag of blood. "Drink."
"Are you crazy?! I'm not going to turn into that bloodthirsty thing that you are!"
"I've never heard such a beautiful compliment, love. Now. Drink. Before I pour it down your throat."
"You can't fucking make me!" I screamed, throwing a bag against the wall, which wasn't a good idea at all as its contents started to run down the wall, creating a small puddle on the floor. My gums involuntarily itched. My stomach rumbled as the delicious smell of fresh blood hit my nostrils.
I closed my eyes, sighing as I tried to control the overwhelming hunger. Klaus took advantage of my moment of weakness, coming over to me and enclosing me in a tight, strong hug. The smell of blood that covered him attacked my senses.
It was funny how his arms were both the only place that could bring me peace and make me fearful of the inner need caused by the vampire blood in my system.
"I can see how you are struggling and how persistently you are trying to overcome it. But why fight it? Why when you can get so much? Have you ever thought about the benefits of being a vampire? Your lovely, pretty face will never age a day, being able to dazzle others with its unimaginable beauty forever. All human diseases and ailments will disappear. You will be able to enjoy eternal life, discovering the mysteries and wonders of this world, even if not with me by your side, then with someone who will worship you until the end of this world. All you have to do is drink some blood and let us take care of you until you learn to control yourself. Is that such a big price to pay for eternal life?" he let me pull away from him a little so I could look into his eyes as he held me tight, desperately trying to convince me to stay alive.
"Who said it would be a happy life? That I'll learn to control myself and not go crazy or become a ripper? That I won't come back covered in the innocent blood of humans every night like you?"
"I must admit I'm a little offended, but I won't blame you for making such vicious accusations against me." he said it in such a tone that I laughed involuntarily, bringing a tender smile to his face. He could always make me laugh, even in the darkest of times. "It's the blood of Mikael and his minions; they definitely weren't innocent, love. Besides, I know you. You will not attack an ordinary man for your own pleasure. And even if you want to, I'll make sure you don't do anything stupid."
I got out of his grip, walking away from him to a safe distance. I might have been in transition, but of the two of us, the man was still the more impetuous. His reaction to my final decision may vary, and I prefer not to risk an untimely death by suffocation.
Besides, Klaus would never forgive himself for that.
"I can't, Nik. I won't feed." his calm facade dropped, and the desperation in his eyes and fear became more evident.
"Y/N just listen to me..."
"It seems like the only fair way out, you know? I helped you plan that stupid wedding; now, at least, you can return the favor by giving me a big, epic funeral."
"Don't even joke like that."
"You know, when Bonnie became sort of an anchor for dead supernaturals to find their way to peace or whatever it is, I couldn't believe at first that the dead actually went somewhere. It seems logical that after you've lived so many years with all these super powers, you just… die. No special effects, no second life, or another reality where there are other dead people. Now, I wish I believed in an afterlife, but I just don't buy this peace story."
"Vampirism is by definition an afterlife."
"I'd rather go into the unknown than live in pain." as if on cue, a sudden, painful spasm seized the left half of my body, causing me to double up... I thought I was beginning to decay from the inside out.
Klaus was near me in no time, holding me up. Fear and despair were painted on his face so clearly that I had to look away from him to chase away the remorse.
"The longer you wait, the more you'll suffer."
"Yeah. I think it's better this way. I mean, look at me. I'm gonna make a super-hot corpse. Perfect for an open casket..."
"Y/N."
"I want a huge party. Everyone has to drink themselves into oblivion and reminisce about all the happy times, funny jokes, or God knows what else. And don't let Kol officiate my funeral, because he'll definitely bring up that stupid story about drunk me flirting with you in a wedding dress or that you were my last fu..."
"STOP IT!" he shouted, interrupting me."I'll not entertain this kind of talk any longer. You must feed. I need you." he growled, glaring at me madly as if that had ever impressed me or worked on me.
He wanted a furious lovers quarrel? Here we go, I'll give him a fucking, last argument.
"This is not about you, this is about me! I liked who I was! I've spent my entire life being that exact version of myself! Years of hard practice and experimentation with my magic went for nothing. I'm nothing! I will never be who I used to be. It is better if I die as someone I'm proud of than live as someone I despise!"
"NO! It is better to live a flawed life than to waste it rotting in clay!"
Tumblr media
"But that's not your decision to make." I whispered with tears in my eyes.
He thought I wanted to die? Leaving the love of my life when our story was just beginning? That I didn't want that fucking fairytale ending where the princess got her prince charming?
But I was never a Cinderella, and Klaus was no cut-off to be a prince on a white horse. And we had to accept this.
"Y/N..."
"I HAVE NOTHING, KLAUS! Without my magic, I am a meaningless shell of my former self. I will always be just a shadow of the person I used to be, unable to cast even the simplest spell or feel the fucking energy of plants! My immortal life will be one big void that nothing can fill!" I walked over to him, taking his hands. I didn't want him to leave. Since I was about to die, I didn't want to do it alone. But I knew full well that he wouldn't stay with me to watch me die, because if I were in his place, I wouldn't be able to watch him go away forever either. "I don't want to live like this, Nik. I can't stand such a pain, and certainly nothing is worth it."
"If you want to go back to the arms of death so badly, I won't stop you. I only hope the bugs will eat your rotten body soon, love." he growled, pulling his hand out of my grip, and he stormed out of the room.
"Klaus! Wait!" I shouted after him, trying to take a step towards the door, but I was too weak to move. I slumped to the ground, letting all my heightened emotions come to light and burst into tears as I listened as the hybrid left the house, slamming the door angrily.
This wasn't how it was all supposed to be.
Everything was meant to fall into place after the wedding, but my life was coming to an inexorable end, and my epic true love left me alone and ran away, hurt by my refusal to accept eternal life by his side.
Suddenly, I felt arms pull me into a comforting, firm embrace as someone began to stroke my hair reassuringly. I looked up. It was Klaus' father.
Klaus told me about it several times and even showed me one of the most traumatic memories for him—finding his biological father, pierced through and through by Mikael's sword. I spent half the night with him then, trying to distract his mind from his memories about his true origin.
Apparently, Ansel must have returned with the parents of the originals. He must have trusted him to let him into his mansion.
"All right. He will calm down a bit and come back to you, darling. He will not waste the last hours with his beloved on pointless wandering in anger around the city."
"I... don't want to hurt him. I just can't... I... was never supposed to become... It's all so fucked up." I sobbed, letting Ansel move me to Klaus' bed, so we were sitting next to each other.
"Try to understand him. The love of his life is dying, and while he could shove blood down your throat and save you, he can't do anything without your permission. He's powerless, and that's one of the few feelings my son doesn't take well."
"I don't think I can do it, Ansel. I don't want to be a vampire, but… I want him to be okay. He finally has some happiness and peace in his life, and I'm taking that away from him, making him unhappy again. If only I could turn back time and…"
"And do what? Never met him?"
"That would be best for him and his family."
"I think my son knows what's best for him. And I think..." he got out of bed, rolled up the carpet to get to the floorboards, and pulled out one board. He put his hand into the hole and pulled out a huge bundle of papers. He put everything back in its place and came over to me, handing me the package. "He discovered it himself a long time ago."
"What is it?" I asked, wiping tears from my cheeks, and (after wiping my hands on my dress) I took it from him.
"Something for you. Ah, these postmen! They always lose something or don't deliver it on time, don't they? I'll leave you with that for a while. I'll make sure you have some privacy." Klaus' father went out of the room, closing a door behind him.
A werewolf left me with the strange envelopes alone.
I looked at them distrustfully, not certain if I really wanted to open them. But my innate curiosity made me ask myself one important question all the time.
What was in them?
With trembling hands, I opened the first sealed envelope.
I'd recognize Klaus' practiced, beautiful handwriting anywhere. It's been haunting me since he sent me an invitation to Mikaelson's ball. After every little note he gave me, I could tell I was an expert at his refined handwriting. Thanks to this little obsession, after the first glance at the letter, I knew it was written by him.
Y/N, I have to admit, I'm a little offended that you're not answering my calls. Are you so busy with Mystic Falls stuff that you don't have time for old friends? It'd be nice to know you're alive, Klaus
My malicious witch, my nuisance, It's really awful of you to torment my poor soul. What have I done to deserve such a cold shoulder? Have your little friends turned you against me? If Rebekah and Katherine deserve weekly video calls, what do I have to do to have the honor of hearing your irritating voice? Stop with that attitude, or I'll show up in this musty hole myself, Klaus
A thorn in my side, a waking nightmare, I see you're ignoring me on purpose. I have to admit, I didn't expect such a game from you, but here you go. Want to play games? Expect me to be a willing participant. Let the best win, Klaus
My stupid little witch, Heretics will no longer bother you. Do not thank me. Put your life in danger for these morons one more time, and you will know my wrath, Klaus
My little tormentor, Have you cast a spell on me to think about you every night? Does this possession make me see you everywhere I go, only to be disappointed when I reach a person who is not you? Is this another one of your new tricks? Making me miss you awake and asleep? I swear I'll draw you into your own trap, Klaus
My lovely witch and the sweet bane of my existence, You win. I love you. Truly, madly, deeply. I dare you to come to me and get your price. Yours, Klaus
If it was possible, I cried more than before. Why now? Why didn't I find all these letters sooner? If only I had known about the letters sooner, now at least I would have had something to remember on the other side.
But the most important question was, did I really want to go to the other side, now?

Loved your meta but whyy why couldn't he respect Rebekah? He respects other women and he kinda respects Kol
Tumblr media
I would argue that Klaus respects very few people.
It might just be Cami, honestly. And even that is shaky at times. Maybe Kol. He does seem to have more admiration for Kol than his other siblings. I would say he doesn't even respect Elijah. Respect requires admiration of others. Klaus' issue is he doesn't admire anyone outside of himself. He views power and strength as something to admire. He has a very toxic masculine view of the world. He is the strongest, fastest, most powerful being in all the land. He doesn't need anyone. Why would he respect them?
This is especially true for his little sister. He treats her like a child who is unable to make decisions for herself most of the time. This is especially true in TVD. In TO, we see Rebekah begin to take more charge of her life, even in the flashbacks. However, this is often met with a dagger in her heart.
Part of the problem is that if Klaus respects Rebekah and her decisions, he might lose her. Despite her being loyal to him for 1,000 years, he doesn't trust her. He doesn't trust anyone.
This may be controversial, but I honestly think she gains more respect from him after he finds out she called Mikael. It was a moment of reckoning for him to realize she was not the little girl he once knew. Before that he laughed off her attempts at overthrowing him, acting like she was just a lovesick teen being manipulated by Marcel. But after that, he ends up trusting her to watch over Hope.
He definitely still doesn't fully respect her as a person at this point. He still is constantly undermining her and her decisions until he dies. I would have loved to see their relationship heal. Unfortunately we never really had a moment where Klaus just genuinely realized how poorly he treated Rebekah her entire life. It would have been nice to see him truly see Rebekah for the amazing woman she had become (and to see Rebekah grow as a character).
One of the strongest things about Rebekah is her resilience and her ability to continue to open her heart to others despite how much she has been hurt. This is something Klaus views as a weakness. It's a big reason I think Cami was such an important character in his life. Cami's strength wasn't physical, it was her mind and heart. Klaus was originally brought in by her bravery but captivated by everything else.
He grows to respect Hayley but it's because they make Hayley a miniversion of Klaus essentially. So he only has to respect himself. And even then, he doesn't fully trust her until maybe season 4.
Cami is one of the few characters Klaus admires very early on. He sees her strength is rooted in love and compassion. I would have loved to see Rebekah grow as a character and get back in touch with her more compassionate side like we see with her and Davina. Then see Klaus learn to respect her without making her like him.
TVDU had a bad habit of only respecting the toxic masculine characters. Characters who had feminine characteristics were often disregarded by the other characters and even mocked.
Basically, Klaus really doesn't respect anyone, but Rebekah even less because he doesn't respect where her strengths lie.
Thanks for the ask!

A Hundred Lifetimes of Haylijah
On AO3 under the same username.
Book 1: A Thousand Years with You
This story is a rewrite starting from the second half of season 2 of The Vampire Diaries. Chapters alternate between present and past timelines.
Characters: Mainly Hayley Marshall and Elijah Mikaelson. Occasional appearances of : Klaus, Rebekah and Kol Mikaelson. Other the vampire diaries characters mentioned.
Relationships: This is a story dedicated to Hayley Marshall/Elijah Mikaelson. Some Caroline Forbes/Klaus Mikaelson subplot, but do not expect much out of it.
Rated M for mature content.
Summary:
They spent a thousand years together, and they were ready to spend a thousand more.
When Hayley Marshall was born, she was born as Andrea Labonair. She always thought she would be Andrea. But pain and fear drove her and her mother away from their village, away from their kind, and into the human village.
When she first set eyes on Elijah, she never thought she would spend a thousand years by his side. To stay with someone so long, to love someone so much, was inconceivable to her. But she did.
A thousand years later, their village had become the town of Mystic Falls, where a girl with mystical blood was born. Elena Gilbert was the new doppelganger, and Elijah would stop at nothing to get his siblings back, and if he cannot, avenge them.
A broken family, an eternal love and fragile friendships. The only question that was left to ask was: Who do we have to kill?
Book 2 : Vampire Empire
This story is a rewrite starting from The Originals season one, with some events set in The Vampire Diaries seasons 2, 3 and 4.
Characters: Elijah Mikaelson, Hayley Marshall, Klaus Mikaelson, Rebekah Mikaelson, Kol Mikaelson, Marcel Gerard, Davina Claire and Camille O'Connell.
Relationships: Slowburn Hayley Marshall/Elijah Mikaelson, Davina Claire/Kol Mikaelson, and even slowerburn Camille O'Connell/Klaus Mikaelson. Complicated Rebekah Mikaelson/Marcel Gerard.
Rated T for the moment, the rating will change later on and I will mention the exact chapter when it's time.
Summary:
All creatures hear the whispers. Words said in hushed tones about a powerful empire pulling the strings behind the curtains of this world. The Vampire Empire has risen in fear and blood, they say. The Vampire Empire will protect those who can't protect themselves, they say. But most importantly, the Vampire Empire doesn't break any promises it makes.
The Vampire Empire is the result that comes from putting power in noble hands. The hands of Elijah Mikaelson. Centuries of being in charge, and the world of vampires, witches and werewolves has only been better off with it.
Now, New Orleans has called on him, a hundred years after he had left it in ruins because each creature wanted the city for themselves. Ancient rituals, a self-proclaimed king, and cursed werewolves were awaiting him.
The one thing he had not expected was the woman who would change his life, the lives of all the Mikaelson siblings. A lost princess of the wolves, carrying the last hope his brother Niklaus had for redemption. But most importantly, Elijah's one true and last love.
Or
Klaus being Klaus. Elijah trying to fix his broken family, and to let Hayley in. Rebekah looking for love. Kol and Davina doing witchy things.

bestie what Lana Del Rey songs fit tvd characters or just tvd to you?
my bestie, my love, thank you so much for this ask !!!
as someone who's endlessly obnoxious about both tvd and lana del rey this is quite literally a dream come true so-,
SONGS FITTING TVD AS WHOLE
Video Games
"It's you, it's you, it's all for you. Everything I do, I tell you all the time"
tvd at it's core is about people doing unjustifiable things for 'love'. Whether i choose to read some relationships as more of a predatory obsession, the crux of this show is damaged grieving people sacrificing and further damaging themselves and others in the pursuit of it, see the mikaelsons with eachother and the salvatore's with Elena and Elena with basically everyone. And I've always read Video Games as both one of the most beautiful love songs of all time but also as an acknowledgment of codependence and lost potential. The song romanticises monotony and mundane life, which is fair. but there's a touch of melancholy beneath the surface of picture perfect normalcy. much like tvd itself.
Love
Look at you kids with your vintage music Comin' through satellites while cruisin' You're part of the past, but now you're the future Signals crossing can get confusing
...
Look at you kids, you know you're the coolest The world is yours and you can't refuse it Seen so much, you could get the blues But that don't mean that you should abuse it
following that theme,
"part of the past but now you're the future," Could refer to any of the vampire's in the show but I personally love it when thinking of Elena and the doppelganger's before her. In the background of all of history but with an endless future before her. "You could get the blues, But that don't mean that you should abuse it," EVERY FKN KID ON THAT SHOW. And yes I mean kid, the MF gang were children. And they did, in fact, get the blues and abuse it.
ELENA
Norman Fucking Rockwell
"you're just a man, it's just what you do, you're head in your hands as you colour me blue."
Anyone who's read my endless rambling before knows where I'm going with this but, jfc the salvatore's !!! Both Stefan and Damon (and canon as a whole but wtv) view their mistreatment of Elena as something unavoidable. Following the theme of horrific acts in the name of love from earlier, Stefan didn't have a choice in entering Elena's life. To him, it was his right, his purpose. (he had to know her).
Despite Elena being a grieving child who did not need any more bullshit in her life. He had too. And when that later caused even further turmoil, both from his own actions and indirect, unintended consequences. He metaphorically put his head in his hands, it wasn't just her suffering but him. In fact, if he really thought about it, later in canon, that is. It was almost equally her fault what happened. From his POV atleast.
Damon basically follows all the same beats but is more open about it, bemoaning his own lost chances with Elena as something completely disconnected to his very purposeful and avoidable choices to cause her pain. He's impulsive, it's not his fault.
"Goddamn, man child You act like a kid even though you stand six foot two"
Damon could only dream of being 6'2 but you get it.
Pretty When You Cry
"I'll wait for you, babe, you don't come through, babe You never do, babe, that's just what you do"
For one, she is very pretty when she cries, and two, see above.
ELIJAH (essentially every 'she fucked that old man' song in ldr's discography)
Million Dollar Man
"Someone as dangerous, tainted and flawed as you,"
"You're screwed up and brilliant Look like a million dollar man So why is my heart broke?"
He is screwed up and brilliant and he does break my heart.
BONNIE
Season of the Witch
Obviously, like... (also Davina, I never talk about her but that's my girl)
Pretty When You Cry
"I'll wait for you, babe, you don't come through, babe You never do, babe, that's just what you do"
Similarly too Elena, she's also pretty but the thesis of Bonnie's character is unfortunately being let down by the people around her. If tvd hadn't had jplec as a showrunner we probably would've gotten some proper character arc about that before season eight but...
ELEJAH
Cinnamon Girl
"There's things I wanna say to you But I'll just let you live Like if you hold me without hurting me You'll be the first who ever did"
kill me. literally fucking kill me like it's them fr.
BEKLENA
Doin' Time (yes it's a cover but Lana owns it tbf)
"Me and my girl, we got this relationship I love her so bad, but she treats me like shit"
The toxic girlfriends I deserved but wtv.
"I'd like to hold her head underwater"
Because she drowned her.
REBEKAH
Old Money
"But if you send for me, you know I'll come And if you call for me, you know I'll run I'll run to you, I'll run to you I'll run, run, run I'll come to you, I'll come to you"
Stuck in an endless cycle of finding freedom and falling back to help Klaus when he needs it.
"The power of youth is on my mind Sunsets, small town, I'm out of time Will you still love me when I shine From words but not from beauty My father's love was always strong My mother's glamour lives on and on Yet still inside, I felt alone For reasons unknown to me"
Never ending quest for humanity and mortality, her eventual fate of taking the cure. The loneliness of her thousand years etc
Honorable mentions for, Young and Beautiful (pretty much everyone's mortal x immortal ships anthem but specifically the Klarolines fuck with it so hard which I repect). Say Yes to Heaven, also works for literally every ship but it's always very Kolvina to me.

An examination of two paternal worldviews -- PIRATES!
Toyhouse
There is a very specific, influential, and particularly precarious relationship between father and son.
General Atkinson, coming from a long line of General Atkinsons, stretching back and back and back along their wealthy war-hungry English tightrope, understands this fact to a degree. To a degree, at least, that could be gathered from being a son, and having a father.
These are the premises he deduced from this worldly experience:
a. The father is solely responsible for the son’s upbringing as a proper man. b. Simultaneously, the father is absent, for months or years at a time, serving Crown and Country, and of course, making a good example for the son. c. The mother, being a female subject, and one so bland and uninteresting, is not noticed by the son. d. Rather, the son solely worships the father, for his heroism, patriotism, and holy manliness. The son desires to live up to the father’s example. e. If the son is not, despite the father’s best efforts, interested in serving Crown and Country, and carrying on the family lineage another generation, there is something defective about him (perhaps, from a hit on the head or a case of fever in infancy). f. Any defections must be spotted as soon as possible and corrected through harsh teachings, by the father. The situation is still salvageable.
It is under these assumptions that Atkinson chose to raise his son, his only son, Simon. And yet, something went wrong this time. Atkinson, now looking down instead of up, saw cracks in the foundation. Atkinson went away for months or years at a time, and Simon admired him from a distance, worshiped him as designed. However, Simon had developed a natural aversion to the “serving of Crown and Country” on the high seas. Upon closer inspection, Atkinson also observed that Simon and his mother, Davina Nightingale, were close. Dangerously close, dangerous enough to foster in Simon a love of that prissy, intellectual nonsense that threatened Atkinson war-hungry pirate-hunting tradition. Premise (e) seemed to be coming true. And as Atkinson initiated premise (f), as he beat down Simon’s interests, will, and love of his now-deceased mother, things seemed to have slotted back into place.
The factor that Atkinson has missed in his analysis is the precarity of the father-son relationship. See, Atkinson assumes what he does because that is how he was raised, what he was told, and how he behaved. Atkinson saw no value in his own mother, and worshiped his absent father. These characteristics extend back along that generational tightrope, and is in fact why it became such a tightrope in the first place.
These are Atkinson’s “ideal conditions,” which in practice are impossible to replicate. For he, despite his desires, is not his father. And Davina Nightingale was not his mother. He was him, and she was her. Davina Nightingale was not bland. Davina Nightingale was a hidden intellectual, an aspiring astronomer, and a loving mother. And she was determined to love her son, her only son, Simon, in place of the father’s absence.
This is not to say that other not-bland women such as Davina Nightingale did not also fight and struggle in the Atkinson family. Rather, it is to say that despite partial success in the past, the Atkinson Father-Son Formula is not foolproof, and was never really true. Atkinson misremembers the parts of his childhood where he was mad at his father, or when he loved his mother. It’s a severe case of selective memory loss that was passed easily from his father to him, and from himself to Simon. Simon, too, tries very hard to forget those moments where he loved his mother (which was, inevitably, all the time).
No, none of Atkinson’s premises are true. The Atkinson men are not heroic, the mothers not bland, and the sons not ideologically loyal or else medically defective. The father-son relationship of Atkinson to Atkinson, as it was built with tyranny and rigid expectations and pain and abuse, was always a flimsy, wobbling thing. And yet, for generations upon generations, the premises went unchecked. The tightrope-walking Atkinsons went un-toppled.
In saunter the Ortizs.
There is, also, a very specific, influential, and particularly precarious relationship between mother and son.
Captain Ortiz, coming from a long line of Captain Ortizs, stretching back and back and back along their outcast plunder-hungry Spanish plank, understands this fact very well. Rather than coming to this conclusion in adolescence, as Atkinson had, he came to it as a husband and father himself.
These are the premises he deduced from this worldly experience:
a. All responsible parties, mother and father or mother and father and rest of pirate crew or other combinations, etcetera etcetera, are all key players in a son’s upbringing as a good man. Though, a father-son bond is acknowledged (when the father is present, exists, or is not dead yet). b. That said, the father must not be absent. No parent should be absent, really, because who in their right mind would want to miss a god-damn moment? c. The mother, being another human being (and in his case being the one who popped that damn thing out), is a beautiful, resilient, and incredible woman, sure to be noticed and admired by the son. d. The son might very well worship the father, and if this seems to be the case, attempts must be made to lead by imperfect example (i.e. sometimes the father might have a bit too much rum and fall down the stairs, but son, every good man makes mistakes, you understand). e. If the son is not interested in carrying on the family business of piracy and plunder, then well, damn, the boy is a free spirit, who is the father to judge when he himself pushed his own father off the plank at fifteen? f. If (e) is true, some convincing might still be in order, and some assertions made that the ship will always be open to his return. Some guilt tripping is allowed in this case, to tease the boy and get petty revenge. A grand farewell feast is to be had.
As can be seen upon first glance, the assumptions above are not perfect by any means, and neither are they always true. For example, Captain Ortiz’s son, Ezra, has still absorbed a certain perfectionism when it comes to impressing his father. Such things are only natural when one comes from a lineage of successful pirates, but it is perhaps true that Ortiz could have done a better job at reassuring Ezra of his inherent value. Ortiz would sometimes forget, what with all the constant plundering.
The constant plundering is another nitpick.
The key point: Ortiz understood his wife. He understood Carmen de la Rosa. Carmen de la Rosa was a skillful fighter, a near-prophetic navigator, and a loving mother. Carmen, in her love, taught Ezra all she knew, and Ezra admired her like nothing else. (His first word might have been “mama,” or might have been “mierda,” depending on who you ask.) Ortiz did not see this as some kind of threat, rather, he relished in it, having the opportunity for love and family that he was not exactly given as a child, with mother long-dead and father meaner than hell.
Ortiz understands the precarity of the overall parent-child relationship, because he lived it, and overcame it in a way that Atkinson could not. Ortiz values his son and his wife and their love because he knows that otherwise, he will lose them, and they will lose something in themselves. He does not want that, not for himself and not for Carmen de la Rosa and not for his son. So, even after her death, especially after, Ezra admires his mother like nothing else.
An Ortiz is not an Atkinson. An Ortiz will push a bad father off a plank.
With this in mind, it becomes clear what finally toppled the Atkinson Way. For, on one stormy night, a washed-up, vengeful Ezra got a job on Simon Atkinson’s vessel. And on another stormy night, months later, that vessel crashed on an island, both men and two others being the sole survivors. Atkinson’s worst nightmare has been realized: an Atkinson must survive with an Ortiz. An Atkinson fraternizes, bonds, exchanges stories with an Ortiz.
An Ortiz will push a bad father off a plank.
Ezra Ortiz sees something in Simon Atkinson that knocks him free of his vengefulness. A reflection of himself: a father impossibly admired, a mother loved and lost. But the difference, of course, is in the father, in the upbringing, the ideology, the methodology. Ezra will not let Simon starve for an absent, angry father. Ezra will not let Simon resent a lost, loving mother.
With every passing month, every late-night exchange of admissions, Simon wobbles on the tightrope of Atkinsons, of worshiping fathers and ignoring mothers and serving Crown and Country and despising piracy. And step by step, Ezra walks General Atkinson off the plank. Simon begins to wonder if fatherly love really is pain and hurt and absence, if men are so emotionless and cruel after all, if women really are so bland and frivolous and obsessed with such useless things like astronomy.
It is a simple doctrine, a two step doctrine, that Ezra preaches:
a. Do not take shit from thy dickhead father. b. Love and admire thy dead mother, as she did thou.
And finally, after thirty-odd years, Simon rediscovers the intellect he shares with his mother, the love he has for his mother, the grief he has for his mother, the admiration he shares with his mother. And having come under the doctrines of the Ortizs, having seen what could have been, what should have been... he falls from the Atkinson tightrope, and lands on something sturdy. Something that smells like old books and sounds like a violin and looks like the stars and feels like a mother’s embrace.
He becomes Simon Nightingale.

This Christmas | K.M.
Tumblr media
Summary: You come back to New Orleans and come face-to-face with a vampire that broke your heart.
Author's Note: I feel bad always writing angst for him. 😭
"I have to end this, Davina. I am going to tell her everything," Kol informed the crying witch in her apartment hallway. It was the day after Christmas. He made up every excuse to be with Davina the day before. Now the guilt was racking his brain. The woman he wanted was home waiting for him. He wasn't sure how he allowed himself to get in this mess.
"Please, don't leave me. I love you," she begged with her sobs echoing down the hallway. The witch was still so young. She probably didn't know what love is. They had more of a physical affair than anything. Kol couldn't tell her he didn't love her. He only enjoyed the freedom that came with her.
"Yeah, Kol, she seems quite lovely," you spoke solemnly in front of the elevator. Rebekah finally admitted Kol's whereabouts. You couldn't believe he was cheating on you. All these years were wasted. A part of you wondered if there were more women out there.
Tears were forcibly blinked back to keep from crying. You knew you looked like a mess. The girl you were told not to worry about looked between you two. "I think you should stay with her, Kol. You already spent Christmas together,"
"Y/N," he started and reached out for you. Tears were pooling in his eyes. You took several steps back and pressed a button to call the elevator to the floor. The very hands that once comforted you now seemed like they would hurt you. He frowned at your alienation of his touch.
"Enjoy him, little girl. He will do the same to you," you announced and walked inside the elevator. You took a shaky breath and leaned against the railing on the elevator. You weren't sure what to do next so you followed your mind.
You left New Orleans and vowed to never return. No man was worth all the pain. Kol tried to reach out to you. He constantly called and texted until you changed your number. Blocking the persistent man wasn't going to do anything. He would have just used his sibling's phones.
You learned the true meaning behind never say never when you had to come back almost a year later. Your younger brother was lost in New Orleans. He was probably out partying every night and sleeping during the day. Now you were walking the familiar streets in the city that nearly destroyed you.
The Mikaelson siblings knew you were here. A couple of times you saw Kol's brothers out of the corner of your eye. Kol was out there somewhere. You were sure of it.
"Where is a witch with a good locator spell when you need one?" You sighed and leaned against a brick wall. All the bars insisted that they never saw your brother although several bargoers swore they did. You missed him by around ten minutes. He left with two male brunettes and a dirty blonde.
"Need any help?" Kol asked. You looked to see him come out of the shadows. He had a solemn look on his face. You rolled your eyes.
"I would rather ask a vampire hunter for help than you," you answered. Your eyes narrowed in deep thought. "This is New Orleans. I might have already asked a vampire hunter,"
"Can we atleast talk about us?" He asked. You laughed to yourself.
"There is no us. As you can see I'm busy. When I find my brother-"
"You will leave from here in the morning," he finished with his own narrative. "And I'll never see you again,"
"Yeah that was the plan the first time. Never say never I guess," you shrugged.
"Oh? She didn't wait around for you to cheat on her too? Maybe she is smarter than she looks," you replied. The girl was smart enough to leave him. The first hardships that came with a relationship and she left. She would have never been able to endure all the hardships you endured to stay with Kol.
"She and I broke up, you know. She realized I was still in love with you,"
You would be lying if you said those words didn't mean something to you. Kol had been the love of your life for decades. He was all you knew at this point. You shook your head. Too little too late. They would have had more meaning if this was before he cheated.
"I'm sorry," he apologized for the first time.
"You can save it. I don't need anything from you, Kol Mikaelson," you promised and started to walk away from him. "Please excuse me while I find my brother,"
"Your brother isn't lost. He's been staying with us. I begged him to come here because I knew you would turn up to look for him,"
You stopped in your tracks. Your emotions fought on which should come out. Anger for all the time you spent worrying about him, relief because at least he wasn't dead, or betrayed that he ignored your valid feelings to side with your ex. Your brother must have picked up the family betrayal from the Mikaelsons because he would never.
"What?" You asked and stared at him.
"I didn't know how to talk to you. You changed your number. I want us to start over, Y/N, from scratch," he begged. "Just please let us talk it out,"
"You honestly expect me to just want to run into your arms and everything will be okay? You cheated on me, Kol. The time to talk is over. We will always be over," you informed him.
"Y/N, I still love you,"
"Last Christmas you left me alone while you had your fun. This Christmas I'm going to have fun and you can lay awake at night wondering where I am. Merry Christmas, Kol,"

The Originals instead of Klaus' Originals
Novelty -Giving the originals characters a fleshed out arc that isn't purely at the mercy of Klaus.
Character of the day - Mikael
Tumblr media
My take on this character would be giving him a father figure role once more. Here's how I would write the Originals. There wasn't anything terribly wrong with Mikael I hated. So this post is pretty short.
Mikael, in particular, gets another chance at parenting with a young man aged 17-22. Let's call him Brett. The two are kind-of forced to work together. Brett is an enigmatic, highly skilled and tactical fighter, adept at offering advice and assistance due to his humane nature. He's perhaps the best hand-to-hand combatant in the TVD universe, often engaging in intense fight scenes, including a memorable showdown where he expertly handles a threat from a werewolf. where he get's threatened by a wolf to biting him (he keeps his wolf side a secret pretty well) and he cuts off the werewolves hands and puts a blade to the werewolves mouth and tells him to try. Pretty Tactical you know. Brett maintains a secret identity as a wolf, keeping his distance from both wolves and other supernatural factions. He has a signature weapon, perhaps a unique dagger or sword, which becomes symbolic of his prowess. In scenes, we witness moments like Brett dulling a blade, prompting Mikael to intervene and scold him. But Brett doesn't back down, asserting that a dulled blade inflicts more pain. And maybe Mikael gives him a scar or something- could've taken his eye out, but didn't, and the ever so perceptive and understanding kid isn't mad at Mikael , but actually sees through Mikael's twisted love or whatever. And we see this by acting and stuff.Their interactions are marked by these subtle exchanges. The relationship between Mikael and Brett evolves into a father-son dynamic, unspoken but deeply felt. This would be the start of where Mikael sees Klaus in him and how the viewers do too, the viewers only find out Brett is a wolf a little before Mikael, where it's pressured and really close.
Now Mikael has his secrets too. Mikael's secret would be his character development. Mikael keeps his desire to kill his son Klaus. What he's basically known for. So, you could see many scenes where he truly tries to hide it, which would be really cool to watch. Seeing Mikael protective and defensive versus his usual offensive.
A secret rooted in Mikael's shame. This shame transforms Mikael's character arc, leading him to prevent Brett from ever thinking he'd actually harm him. Their bond is further tested when their hidden truths are revealed, introducing drama and tension. This time Mikael stays with Brett, even after finding out he's from the same clan as Klaus.
And with Brett, Mikael's secret is only revealed with an encounter with Klaus where Klaus kills Mikael. Brett doesn't intervene due to shock and other complex feelings. Mikael accepts Brett's reaction too, as expected.
Even after Mikael's death, Brett mourns his passing. He grapples with conflicted feelings, attempting to convince himself that he never truly liked Mikael. In a poignant moment, he speaks to Mikael's lifeless body, inadvertently revealing his true emotions. Klaus overhears this conversation, experiencing jealousy but ultimately unable to act on it due to the realization that Brett is fulfilling a role he desired—an emotional outlet. This realization feeds into Klaus' need for the hatred that sustains him.
They could add a ton of their english norse culture into this. I really liked the Davina and Mikael arc if you couldn't tell.

Word Count: 1119

Request: Could you do klaus x reader hanahaki diase i would by greatful my love
Warning: talk of reader's death, Hanahaki disease, breathing issues and mention of blood
Tumblr media
In all honesty you should have known that your one sided love story was going to catch up with you but when the witch cast the spell it really dawned on you that you were going to die because Klaus didn’t return your feelings. You had been close to him since you had met him and he had learned to trust you, which was why you were by his side when he got back to New Orleans and found out about Hope. You were there when he fell for Cami and you were there when he grieved her. It was always you, you were always there, as the family slowly started to get back together each of the siblings started to notice it too. Kol and Rebekah had even tried to keep your mind off of it.
Even now as you life depended on it you couldn’t bring yourself to tell any of them what had happened, so you just hit that there was anything wrong, the first stage, the petals, was easy you were human so getting sick wasn’t completely out of the question, you just coughing into a tissue and made sure to get rid of them outside of the compound, you lived in a small apartment a few blocks away so it wasn’t hard. The second stage became harder to hide, with the full buds came blood, you had to be careful that it wasn’t left on your lips when you pulled the tissue away from your face but this was where people started to become suspicious.
“(Y/N) are you sure that you're okay?” Elijah asked. “I’m fine Elijah, it’s just a viral thing, I’ve gotta wait for it to run its course, I promise if anything else happens I’ll let you know.” You lied as you waved him off. “If you’re sure.” He said watching you for a second longer before you disappeared from view heading out and home. “They’re acting weird.” Rebekah said as she walked over to her brother. “I don’t think it would be wise to push it, if they doesn’t want to tell us then there’s nothing that we can do.” Elijah answered. “We both know that’s not true.” Rebekah answered. “We should respect their privacy.” Elijah reminded her and she nodded. “Fine but if this keeps happening then I’ll find out what’s going on myself.” Rebekah said.
Turns out that they didn’t have to wait too long, Kol burst into the compound the next morning “where’s (Y/N)?” Kol asked. “What do you want with them?” Klaus asked. “We really don’t have time for this, if what that witch said was true then they’ve only got a little time left.” Kol answered, “What are you talking about?” Klaus’ tone changed immediately as he sat up in the chair that he had been lounging in. “A witch came to speak to Davina today. Apparently a small group of them were getting antsy and decided that they might be able to weaken you by getting to your second in command, the human that lived outside of the compound, who apparently placed a curse on her.” Kol answered. “Call Freya and get your girlfriend here, they’re going to find a way to fix this while I go and find them.” Klaus ordered and Kol nodded, taking out his phone as Klaus left the compound.
Klaus didn’t bother knocking and he was glad that he didn’t because as he walked in he caught sight of you on the floor in your kitchen hunched over blood dripping through your finger as you clutched your chest uncomfortably “(Y/N)!” Klaus called as he rushed over, he gently repositioned you, gently leaning you against him as he pulled out his phone. “What have they done to you?” “D-don’t worry about it.” You forced the words out but he could tell that it was hard, painful. “Stop talking, just concentrate on breathing.” He mumbled as he dialed Kol’s number. “I have them, they are not doing well, I think it’s going to hurt them more if I move them, have you found anything?” He asked. “It’s called the Hanahaki curse, if someone is the victim of unrequited love then they will fall victim to the curse.” Freya explained. “At this point we can remove it but the spell will remove all ability to love with it, almost like a vampire that flipped the switch, they wouldn’t be them anymore.” “So what’s the other option?” Klaus asked. “The person that they loves, confesses genuine romantic love to them.” Freya answered. “Well then we need to find out who-” “It’s you Klaus.” Rebekah was the one to speak this time. “What?” He asked. “They’ve been by your side since the beginning, sides with you, stick up for you and encourages you to pursue anything that would make you happy, even if that was someone else to love.” Rebekah explained. “They sacrificed themself to save you from the darkness that you were falling into, now you are the only one that can help them.” Klaus looked down at your form, your chest rising in shallow, effortful breaths, he hung up the phone and leaned down so his face was closer to you. “Me? I’m the reason that you are like this?” He asked. “You… Did… Nothing wrong.” You shrugged to answer. “You are not… obliged to love… me.” “I do love you.” Klaus answered. “I know.” You mumbled. “No you don’t, if you did you wouldn’t be like this. I love you.” Klaus confessed as he pulled you closer “you can’t leave me, not you too, not before I could show you.” He felt it first, the release of magic, then the deepest breath you had taken since he had gotten there, it scared him, he pulled away to look at you and for the first time your eyes were open, trained on his face. “You meant that?” You asked, he didn’t answer verbally, just leaned down pressing his lips to yours in a forceful kiss, one that portrayed the tension, fear and relief all at once, you smiled at him as he pulled back. “I love you too.” “Don’t ever try dying to prove it ever again.” Klaus ordered still holding you close. “Now get dressed, you're not leaving my sight but there’s a witch I need to track down.” “Klaus-” “Don’t argue with me love, or I’ll carry you out of here in what you're wearing now.” He warned you. “Alright.” You smiled as you raced to the bedroom to get dressed, he could tell that you still weren’t back to normal but you weren’t dying anymore and he’d never let you get that close to death ever again.
Requests and general question!

Red Hot Winter- Chapter 20
Tumblr media
Hey guys! I was really busy in November, but here it goes chapter 20! And how do you guys feel about a Christmas chapter?
Chapter Text
Chapter 20 "Darkest Little Paradise"
Mystic Falls. They were back at it again, but instead of Caroline and Elena staying in their house, not that Elena had a house to return to after burning it all down, they were at the Originals Mansion.
Klaus and Caroline didn't want to waste any time, the hybrid especially. He had waited for Caroline for too long to wait even a few months to finally marry her.
Hayley, Bonnie, Davina, and even Kol were with them. Elena didn't particularly like the fact that Elijah's youngest sibling was spending so much time with the young witch, but Elijah assured her that if Kol even thought of betraying them, he'd gladly join her and kill his brother again.
"Tell me again what you wanted to do to me the night your family threw that ball." Said Elena the night they got there.
Klaus and Caroline were out in town, and Bonnie had taken Davina to the Mystic Grill with Kol on toll, leaving the mansion to Elijah and Elena. They were in the living room, dancing together with barely any distance between them.
"I believe I told you it took everything in me not to steal you from the Salvatore brothers." He said, smiling at the memory.
"And what exactly did you want to do to me if you got me away from the Salvatore brothers, Mr. Mikaelson?" Elena asked, whispering in his ear.
"Well Ms. Gilbert, let's just say I wanted to do things and give you pleasure that no boy in this little town was ever able to, and now that I've got you, they never will." He said, his voice getting lower. Elena smiled.
"They won't hun?"
"Never." He said.
Elijah pulled her into his arms and kissed her the way he had wanted to kiss her at the ball in front of everyone. He held her close as he felt their lips and hearts intertwined in one sweet moment that seemed to last forever. Elijah had yearned for this back then and he would never stop. He felt like the most fortunate man in the world, and he knew that this was what true love was like; that he had found his greatest treasure in the woman in his arms.
Parting from her, the only thing he could see in her eyes was what was reflected in his own: love, true love.
Holding her up, he ran until he got to the room they were both sharing.
"Impatient much?" She asked smiling, when he dropped her on the bed, crawling up to her.
"It's entirely your fault love, I can't seem to get enough of you."
Somehow Elena had managed to take off, well ripped, Elijah's button-up shirt.
Elijah spread Elena's legs and went down on her. He felt like it was on fire and it felt so good that Elena couldn't help but moan out loud. Elijah continued pleasuring and nibbling and manipulating his tongue inside her with precision and skill, and it was too much for Elena to bear and before long she was trembling with pleasure.
Elijah kept going and sent Elena off for a second fall.
He kept nibbling and thrusting until Elena was an explosive ball of pleasure again and this time he was rewarded with a stream of juice from her. It was a truly intimate act of love.
"So good for me, my love." He said, coming back to her, smiling at her. Elena felt as if all her inhibitions had disappeared and she had completely surrendered herself to him. She looked up into his eyes and kissed him again, more passionately this time. At that moment, she felt more alive than ever before. She felt a never-ending connection with Elijah and the pleasure he had given her was incomparable. Their kiss was long and passionate, expressing everything they were feeling without using any words.
Elijah shed the rest of his clothes away, but before even making any movement, he looked at her silently asking her.
"Yes, my love." She answered.
He began to move his body in a rhythm that delighted her senses and made her feel alive. His touch was soft and gentle as he kissed her neck and caressed her curves, increasing the intensity as her arousal heightened. His movements were in perfect harmony with hers, and soon her body was trembling with anticipation as her excitement built.
He teased her nipples and trailed his hands down her body, inciting a deep purr from her lips as he explored and caressed. His skillful strokes aroused her completely and soon she was shaking with need. His mouth found hers and they shared an intimate kiss, his hands still exploring as he deepened their kiss. As they moved together, Elijah knew he was giving her pleasure, feeling her body respond to his every move. His pleasure heightened as he felt her response to his touch.
Elijah's thrusts increased in intensity, pushing Elena over the brink of ecstasy as his passion grew, increasing with every movement. Elena cried out as her pleasure reached new heights with every stroke. Elijah watched as she began to tremble and shake, her climax imminent. He thrust harder and faster, pushing her over the edge. Elena's peak crashed into his body as she collapsed against him, her cries turning into soft moans of joy. Elijah followed soon after, reveling in the feeling of Elena's pleasure against his own. Elijah held her close while they basked in the afterglow.
He gently kissed her and lay next to her, bringing her body next to his own.
"I love you, my lovely Elena." He said, his eyes fluttering shut.
"I love you too Elijah." She said, laying her head on his shoulder and letting herself fall asleep.
The next day both Elijah and Elena had plans with Klaus and Caroline respectively, while Elijah did have one small thing to do after following his brother.
Both Elena and Caroline would have lunch with Sherrif Forbes, who wasn't exactly thrilled that her son-in-law-to-be was Klaus Mikaelson, but she also knew that Klaus would protect and love Caroline no matter what.
While Klaus and Elijah had other plans.
"You know I can't keep this from Elena, don't you?" Asked Elijah, when Klaus told him his plan.
"Brother it's poetic justice. Besides, I've talked to Elena about it." Said Klaus.
"You have?"
"This morning while Caroline was getting ready."
"And what did she say?"
"She told me she did try to do something at the time it happened but Stefan didn't do anything."
"And what exactly do you plan to do with Damon, brother?"
"He won't die Elijah, but he will certainly suffer for abusing Caroline."
Elijah knew why his brother was doing this. Caroline was a young vampire, she'd never be able to make Damon pay for what he had done to her when she was human, but Klaus could. As far as he knew, Damon had only tortured Elena to try and get her to flip her humanity back on, and that certainly could constitute a reason for Elijah. Assaulting a woman and making her forget about it was one of the worse crimes vampires, and even humans could do and both of them would make sure Damon paid for it. Caroline was part of their family after all.
The Salvatore house appeared to be empty. Rumor had it that Stefan was in Texas, giving into his Ripper persona after Katherine died. Klaus opened the door and the smell of human decomposition hit both brothers right away. Three humans lay on the living room floor, completely drained of blood.
"What are you doing here?" Asked a grumpy and drunk Damon, carrying an almost empty bottle of scotch, showing up in the living room. "Aren't you supposed to be planning your little wedding to vampire Barbie?" That prompts Klaus to run to Damon, holding his neck and slamming him into the wall.
"Don't you dare say a word against my fiancé and queen, Damon!" Said Klaus, in a threatening tone. The young vampire just laughed.
"I was right to always use her to distract you, and it always worked." Damon persisted.
Klaus put his hand inside Damon's chest gripping his heart.
"You see, after Caroline said yes to marrying me she told me about how you'd drink her blood and sexually assault her when she was human and make her forget about it."
"She's lying and you know it." Says Damon, challenging him. Elijah knew right then that this would be a lot more painful for the young vampire than it needed to be.
Klaus smiled and compelled Damon.
"Tell me what you did to her."
Under the compulsion, Damon started admitting.
"I'd drink her blood until she passed out and then take what I wanted from her body. When she would regain consciousness, I'd make her forget about the attacks and make her use a scarf to hide it."
"Were there other women?"
"Yes."
"How many?"
"Too many"
Klaus removed his hand from Damon's chest, and the vampire fell to the ground.
"You're gonna kill me for doing that to her? You'd have done the same thing to her." Says Damon, massaging his wounded skin.
"I and my sibling might've been raised by Mikael and Esther, arguably two of the worst parents to ever roam the earth, but none of us would ever take from a woman what isn't ours to take," Klaus said, kneeling to the ground, still smiling. "How do you think we should do this brother?"
"Death would be too easy Niklaus, you shouldn't bite him either. Even during his reaper days, Stefan would beg you to cure Damon." Replied Elijah.
"You're right brother." Klaus picked Damon up and sat him down on a wooden chair Elijah had put in the middle of the room. Compelling him again, Klaus said, "Don't move."
"What's up with you two? You used to fight a lot more." Says Damon. "Don't tell me your kid all across the pond soften the heart of the big bad Klaus Mikaelson?"
"Don't you say a word against my daughter!" Shouted Klaus, snapping his neck.
"Now Mom, tell me." Said Caroline. She, Elena, and her mom were all having lunch in the most expensive restaurant in Mystic Falls. Caroline and Liz only were there a few times during their lives, but the previous night the Sherriff knew Klaus could offer her daughter the type of life she always dreamed of, and Caroline had told her if she let her Liz would live that type of life as well, but she could tell her mother was hiding something from her. "What are you keeping from me?"
"Caroline!" Says Elena.
"It's okay Elena." Says Sherriff Forbes. "I didn't tell you anything last night Care because you seemed so happy telling me all the details of the proposal and showing me the ring, and the plans for the wedding. Caroline, the truth is… I've been diagnosed with cancer. They can't remove it, and I don't want treatment. I don't want to watch my life fade away. I want to enjoy what I have left, and walking you down the aisle is more than I can ask for."
"What…no, mom, no!" Caroline started crying reaching out to her mother, who was crying as well. "No, this can't be happening mom, tell me this isn't the truth Mom, please!"
"I'm sorry Caroline."
Meanwhile, in the Salvatore mansion, Klaus and Elijah had taken turns staking Damon everywhere but his heart. That's until Klaus had an idea. Carrying Damon's weakened body to the Salvatore cellar, he dropped him to the floor.
"Niklaus, you need to end this rendezvous of yours." Says Elijah, after reading a text from Elena.
"Why's that? I'm having fun brother."
"Elena texted. She said Sherriff Forbes had unfortunate news to both her and Caroline today."
"I know. I could smell it last night when I and Caroline took her to dinner. I couldn't tell her, and her mother asked me not to tell her anything. We're almost done."
Damon opened his eyes, immediately standing up. Klaus smiled evilly, compelling him once again.
"Now, I want you to stake yourself, repeatedly close to your heart. When you pass out from blood loss, drink enough from the blood bags you have just to regain enough strength to go back to staking yourself."
Leaving the cellar, being followed by Elijah, they locked the door behind them and exited the Salvatore house.
Opening the trunk of his car, Klaus changed his shirt from the bloody one he was wearing. Elijah did the same with his button-up and suit.
"You go home now brother, I have something else to do." Said Elijah.
"Care to share?" Asked Klaus.
"Perhaps you know Niklaus." Replied Elijah, smiling.
Klaus got into the car and started driving back to the Originals Mansion, while Elijah took the route to the woods.
A few minutes later, he reached his destination. The Gilbert family burial plot. Kneeling, Elijah started talking.
"Mr and Mrs. Gilbert, you don't know me, but I've heard a lot about you from Elena. I know you were her real parents, not Isobel or John, though they sacrificed themselves for her. I also know you know my kind, the Originals. I was turned into a vampire by my parents, and I didn't want that at first. Before Elena came into my life, there was truly no reason for me to stay alive. She brought me back, she gave me a reason to keep fighting, to stay alive even when my family is going through the worst period we've faced. I've warned her about my enemies, but still she didn't back away. I love her, and I'm never going to stop loving her, always and forever. I'm not even sure if any of you are listening but I'm asking you to grant me the exceptional honor of the hand of your daughter in marriage."
A few seconds went and the wind carried a daisy right into Elijah's hand. This particular flower, for the Vikings, means love and admiration.
"Thank you!" Elijah said, smiling.
Later that night, after Klaus calmed Caroline down and Elijah was back home, the doorbell rang.
"Hayley, why don't you answer the door?" Asked Elena. She knew who was behind the door. That was something she and Caroline had planned in a very quick motion before coming to Mystic Falls. Klaus, Caroline, Elijah, Elena, and Hayley were all in the living room.
Hayley dropped the book she was trying to read and got up from the couch. Before she even opened the door, she heard a child laughing. Klaus was beside her in a second, with Elijah following suit. Caroline and Elena were watching the scene playing out from the first steps of the stairs. Breathing out, and with her hands shaking Hayley opened the door.
On the outside, there was Hope, a bit older, being carried by Rebekah.
"My daughter!" Said Hayley, breaking down crying and immediately grabbing her from Rebekah.
"Mommy!" Said Hope, gripping Hayley's hair, and smiling. Not taking it anymore, Klaus hugged both Hope and Hayley. "Daddy!" Said Hope, cheering.
"Hope, my littlest wolf." He said, kissing her forehead. Hayley turned around and walked into the house. "Hope, this is your uncle, Elijah," Klaus said, though Hayley didn't want to let her go. Elijah just shook his head.
"Hello, my dear." He said, kissing her head.
"Eli, Eli" Hope tried to say his name, but couldn't.
"She can't spell it, it's too hard." Said Elena, laughing.
"Hope, this is your aunt, Elena." Said Elijah. Elena came to them, smiling at Hope, and kissing her cheek.
"Lena," Hope said.
"She can't spell yours either, my love," Elijah said, smiling at Elena.
"Hope, this is Caroline." Said Klaus. "She's going to be Daddy's wife in a few days, which makes her your stepmother."
Hope smiled at Caroline and instantly some white rose pattels started to fall on top of Caroline's head.
"Oh hello my dear." Said Caroline, kissing Hope's cheek.
"Care" Said Hope.
"That's right love!" Said Klaus, kissing his daughter again.
Hayley took Hope upstairs, followed by Rebekah, Elena, and Elijah.
"How… How did you do that love?" Asked Klaus, hugging Caroline.
"We couldn't get married without her being here now, could we?"
"I love you so much, Caroline." He said, caressing her face with his hand.
"I love you more."
"Is that even possible love? If you do recall, I'm an original."
"Yeah, but I'm always right." Klaus laughed in a way he hadn't in a long time. Klaus leaned in close to Caroline, looking into her eyes as if for permission. She didn't need to say anything for him to know what he wanted, and he could almost feel her need for him mirrored in his own heart. He felt his lips growing, ever so sweetly drawing closer to her own until they finally met. He kissed her with a passion that he had never felt before, one that seemed to be shared by her. They clung to each other tightly, as if each with one of them were the other's lifeline. As their kiss deepened, everything around them seemed to fade away, and they were lost in each other for what seemed like an eternity. The desire he felt for her was like nothing he had ever experienced before. Her lips were soft and inviting against his, and it felt like all time had stopped as they kissed. He felt as though he could stay that way forever, feeling her warm breath on his skin and holding her in his arms. As they finally pulled away from each other, they both had a knowing look in their eyes, as if they knew that this was only the beginning of something wonderful.
"I can't wait to marry you, love," He said.
"I'll be the one in white, if you want a hint" He smiled at her.
"Thank you."
"What for?"
"For everything."
"You don't need to thank me, Klaus. I love you and I'll always be here, always and forever."
"Always and forever, love"
For the first time in a long time, The Mikaelsons were at peace.
For now, at least.

Standing out on the balcony overlooking the city I sighed heavily. The wind was blowing my hair all around where I brushed some of it out of my eyes. I will always remember the first time we came to this city together. Even though Marcel wanted to hurt me before he knew I was pregnant. I wouldn’t change any of it….or at least I thought that until my daughters were declared dying from magic. I heard footsteps coming outside but I didn’t turn around. “Marcel talked with Davina and he talked with Elijah. They’re dying. The girls have veins over their backs now.”
“They can’t die, Nik. I refuse to let anything bad happen to them. So what are the options we have? Because I am not going to just stand around and accept the fact that they are dying!” Finally turning my head in his direction I met his blue eyes that had tears welling up inside.
Klaus reached forward placing his hand over my smaller one and I slumped my shoulders. “Don’t think for a moment that you are alone in this. I will tear the world apart to make them happy, protect them, keep them safe and loved.”
“I know that you will but we need a backup plan. We can’t just let them just die. We have fought too hard and too long to get to this point in their lives when they are so young.” I sniffed through tears when he squeezed my hand in his.
Running my thumb over the ring on his left hand I watched his next words. “Rae, we fixed this once before when we siphoned it out of Andrea. We just need to find someone else to put it into someone else. Perhaps Aurora in the basement. All we have to do is stake her in the heart and it’s gone.”
“Not in hell, Niklaus! That woman needs to stay right where she is for what she did to Cami. I do agree that we need to siphon it away but Alina and Missy won’t do it for us willingly this time.” I huffed, dropping my shoulders.
Nik clicked his tongue leading me down the stairs and into the dining room seeing all the other Mikaelson’s. “Marcel, tell her what you found out at the church last night.”
“I went back to the church to help my guys get rid of the dead vampires and I found there was one human there late. And he was dead.” Marcel was standing behind Rebekah who was sitting down.
Covering my mouth with my free hand I gasped. “She’s gonna turn tonight on the full moon.”
“Marcel said that the dark magic is killing our nieces. So Nik, Rae, please tell us you have some magical miracle to save their lives.” Kol got to his feet and I could see that he was actually concerned for them, and not in a joking manner.
Rebekah sent me a weak smile with her hands together. “Have you thought of consuming the magic from them like you did with our mother’s magic?”
“”I have, Bex. But we’ll need to ask for help from the other living siphons we know.” Clasping my hand together I removed my hand from Nik’s.
“Because Alina and Missy will keep the magic inside them so terrified that our family will break if anyone else takes the magic from them.” Klaus added on.
Someone came down the stairs cutting off my next sentence. “The plan that I have is that we can put the Hollow magic into the-“
“I’m already ahead of you, Raelyn.” Freya reveals the white oak stake from behind her back. “But I have to ask once it’s inside the stake what exactly is the next step?”
“Someone will kill me with it.” Everyone turns their hands quickly in shock seeing Elijah standing in the doorway behind me and Nik.
Klaus got in his older brother's face. “Give me one god damn reason you think you should sacrifice yourself, brother!”
“Everything that is happening to the girls is because of me.” He responded.
I tilted my head trailing off. “Elijah…”
“No Raelyn, it’s true. I took away my memories because I knew that I would try to reunite our family when it was a threat. And then they got taken. I…will never forgive myself for Missy turning into a heretic so young…Alina triggering her curse….and Hope doing the same. So once you put the magic into the stake let me take it out of this world for good.” Elijah dropped his hands at his sides and I could see heavy tears in his eyes.
Stepping around my husband I grabbed Elijah’s shoulders making him look me in the eye. “But then they’d feel responsible for you sacrificing your life. Trust me, Elijah. That is a pain that will haunt them for the rest of their lives. So don’t do this…we will find another way to use the stake.”
The front door opens and we see three vamps enter the room before Cami enters the conversation with Jaocb and Hayley. “Sorry we’re noisy but why can’t you just put the stake into that world with your psycho cousin?”
“Since we know that the Mystic gang managed to put him away in another prison world.” Hayley points out holding Andrea’s hand in hers.
My twin nods in agreement towards Freya. “Then the power would be gone for good and Kai can’t ever escape from there again. It sounds like the perfect plan to me.”
“We just have to convince Caroline and Alaric now.” Klaus walked over to Freya holding his hand out for the stake.
She placed it in his hand where he slid it into his black jacket. “Good luck to the both of you then.” He offered me his hand and we headed downstairs while Elijah went and woke the girls and Henrik telling them we were heading to Mystic Falls.
The kids stayed with their uncle while we found Caroline giving another tour until she pulled us into a private room locking the door. “We need your help, Caroline. Our girls are dying. They consumed the dark magic and now it's consuming them. Hope won't survive tonight's full moon.”
Caroline knits her brows. “She triggered her curse?”
“Basically it goes like this: Alina accidentally killed Missy. She became a heretic. Alina triggered her curse out of guilt and is now a werewitch. They took the power back and we tried to help them but now-“ I ramble off looking at my husband.
Caroline made a noise in shock. “Uh, I thought that the Crescent wolves could control their transformations.”
“Not the first one. It's a rite of passage. Unavoidable.” He told her.
She shook her head. “Well, what do you need from me?”
“I need a very rare type of witch from the Gemini Coven.” Nik stepped closer to her finally meeting her gaze.
“You can't be serious.” She crossed her arms over her chest.
Putting my hands together I begged her knowing that I didn’t want to endanger Jo’s daughters but there was no other way. “Caroline, Alina and Missy will never give up the power out of fear. So we need your daughters to take it from them and Hope when she’s turning for the first time.”
“We need your daughters, Caroline.” Klaus begged her with puppy dog eyes.
Caroline spun on her feet pouring a drink coming back over to us. “No. No, absolutely not. They're-they're children.”
Nik threw a hand out in her direction. “They're siphoner witches. It's what they were born to do. Siphon magic from one thing…”
She cut him off, throwing her blonde hair around. “And put it in another. So, after they siphon it from Hope, what are they supposed to do with it? You can't just shove a demon in a jar and put it on a shelf.”
“We put it inside a stake and send it to Kai’s prison world. So that way it’s gone for good.” Throwing my hands away from my sides.
The blonde vampire parted her lips at my words. “Rae, I…are you sure there isn’t another way. I mean after everything he did to your family and Ric do you really want to give him that type of power?”
“Care, he can never get out unless he finds Bennett blood and the Ascendent in that time. But he doesn’t have Bonnie to get out this time. It’s the best..only plan we have.” I sniffed through tears needing her to say yes.
Klaus stepped beside me giving her puppy dog eyes begging her. “I can't allow my daughters to die. But I promise you I will not endanger yours. Caroline, please. Caroline. I'm begging you.”
She finally agreed and took us out to the old mill with Lizzie and Josie. “What do we get if we say yes?” Josie asked her mother.
Caroline smiled, putting her hands together. “The warm feeling in your heart that comes from helping a friend in need.”
Lizzie teased her wanting something more. “Well, we are in need of new cell phones.”
Josie caught on adding more to the agreement. “And permission to go to the senior solstice dance.
And, you and Dad take the skirt-length rules out of the dress code. It's anti-feminist and oppressive.”
Lizzie finished her sentence. “And not cute.”
Caroline turned her head staring back at me and Klaus where I just smiled shrugging my shoulders at how sassy they were as teenagers. “No to the phones. Maybe to the dance. And yes to defying the patriarchy one plaid skirt at a time. Deal?”
Josie and Lizzie said together. “Deal.”
She turned back to us, waving the two of us over. “Now uncle Klaus and aunt Raelyn are going to explain exactly what they need you to do. Very clearly and kindly, without even a hint of a temper or frustration.”
Klaus stepped forward getting cut off with an arrow going in the back of his heart. “First of all, thank you.”
Josie gasped. “Dad?”
Alaric lowered his crossbow giving me a half apologetic look. “Whatever the hell's going on here, no.”
Vamping back inside the school seeing Alaric and Caroline bickering in front of the fireplace. “Ric, are you insane? All we’re asking for is the Ascendant and your girls help to put the power somewhere safe.”
“Rae, I want to help your kids. But not at the price of my own.” He slumped his shoulders.
Snapping at him I dared to guilt trip him feeling some tears falling down my face at mentioning her name. “If Josette was still alive she wouldn’t hesitate to help the family.”
The door downstairs where he had put my husband got flung open before we saw my husband holding the blood stained arrow in his hands. “Very impressive system Secure, I'm sure, if you're a baby werewolf navigating puberty. But I'm a little past that.” He let the arrow clatter to the ground making a noise.
Caroline stands beside me. “Klaus…”
He walked towards us with Alairc having his crossbow raised. “Alaric's right. The ocean won't hold the power. But when I've transferred the Hollow's magic out of Hope, I don't intend to drown it.”
Caroline glanced at me when he reached inside his jacket drawing out the white oak. “What is that?”
“This is the last remaining White Oak stake.” Nik stepped down the stairs showing them the weapon in his hand. “When the power is in me, there's only one way to make sure it's gone for good.”
Spinning around on my feet I faced Caroline and Alaric clasping my hands together praying they finally agreed with us. “We put it into the prison world and pop a bottle of champagne everyone wins.”
Alairc lowered his crossbow, rolling his eyes finally agreeing and leaving the room to go get what we needed. “I’ll go get the girls and the Ascendant.”
“Thank you, Caroline.” Stepping towards the blonde vampire I gently hugged her and she hugged me back leaving to go get her twins ready for the spell.
It was getting closer to the full moon where Klaus and I were just standing waiting until the girls were ready. Elijah walked into the room still going against our plan. “I won't allow this, Niklaus. You know that.”
The hybrid said sternly vamping towards him. “And you know this is the only option.” The two brothers taught until he managed to get the stake away from Nik.
Elijah pointed the tip towards him on the floor. “You tell those girls to take me instead.”
Nik growled. “No.”
“And you will take my life.” He ignored his brother's words.
Vamping in between the two originals needing him to see a rational reason. “Elijah, if you take your life it will be like when I was forced to kill Jacob. It will haunt them for the rest of their lives. Is that what you want for them?”
“I have burdened you enough.” Klaus rose to his feet still angry.
Elijah begged him through heavy tears. “Your daughters were hurt because of me, Niklaus.”
“I'm not gonna kill you!” Klaus vamped forward, knocking the stake from his hands and throwing him onto the ground.
Vamping over Elijah’s body on the ground I quickly grabbed his neck snapping it. “Putting the magic into a prison world is better than you being dead. You’ll see our reasoning someday. And I’m sorry for this.”
“The moon is almost risen. We should get Hope out of here.” Nik told me where we vamped downstairs seeing her chained and just waiting.
She cut herself off when he snapped the chains. “What are you...?”
He cut her off, tugging her to stand and leading her outside into the woods. “We don't have time. We shouldn't do this inside.
Alina would've wanted you to be out here, in nature, under the moonlight. Here. Drink this.”
Hope drank it until one of her knees broke and she dropped to the dirt. “Ow, ow. Ah.
Nik took my hand. “It's starting.”
Focusing away from us I used my vampire hearing to be able to pick out Lizzie and Josie beginning the siphoning spell I had taught them a few hours ago. “Magia tollox de terras.Magia tollox de terras. Magia tollox de terras.”
Klaus released my hand seeing our oldest daughter give him a scared look. “Hope. Listen to me. This is going to hurt. So you need to concentrate on the air in your lungs, and the ground beneath you.”
Her bones kept breaking where she cried. “Aah! Dad!”
He kept talking to her. “The first time, it can take hours.”
She cut him off. “Hours?”
His blue eyes focused on Hope while I heard sets of feet running towards us and I could make out one heartbeat meaning it must be Missy and Alina. “If you fight it. The pain will make you want to delay it because you think that's all you can take. But if you let it in, if you allow it to swallow you whole, then it cannot break you.”
She blinked through tears. “Yeah. I can do this.”
“When you're done, run wild and free. I am so proud of you.” He rested a hand to her face before more of her bone’s kept breaking and she showed us the golden werewolf eyes for the first time.
Alina slides to a halt in front of us. “Mom, what are you doing? I…I can feel the magic ah!” She grabbed her chest where I saw the blue light coming from her heart.
Josie and Lizzie kept going on with the chant in the distance away from us. “Magia tollox de terras. Magia tollox de terras. Magia tollox de terras. Magia tollox de terras. Magia tollox de terras!”
Missy focuses her ear towards the back of the school. “They’re taking the Hollow from us ... .urgh!” She grabbed her chest too before Hope screamed as it left her body too and she finally transformed into a full grown light gray wolf.
Alina and Missy slowly got up to their feet both glaring at us where I held my hands up spitting out something I knew they’d listen to. “You can’t be mad at us forever because if we don’t get the Hollow into the stake and into a prison world. Your uncle Elijah will try and get the Saltzman twins to put it inside him so he can die.”
“Why would he do that to himself?” Missy asked on the verge of tears.
Running my hands through my hair I saw Hope run off into the woods and Klaus gave her a smile. “He feels he should be blamed for your girls getting hurt. After he made Marcel get rid of his memories. So he thinks this will fix things but we found another way.”
“Then we can’t let him get to the stake.” Alina declares with her hands turned into fists.
Nodding my head I draw out the stake inside my jacket. “You’re exactly right. We need to go now. And I need your help with the second part of the plan.” The four of us rushed back to where Alaric had his girls doing the spell. I hung my mouth open in shock seeing a big bright blue ball of magic in the center of their boundary circle.
“You better hope this works, Raelyn.” Alairc came over to me handing me over the Ascendent and some of Bonnie’s blood she gave to him a few years ago.
Nik squeezed my hand, eyeing the white circle ring whispering to me. “Be careful, Rae.”
“I will, Nik….Lizzie, Josie put the magic into this.” I instructed them to step over the line instantly, feeling the Hollow magic surrounding me. Getting in the center of the circle I raised the stake chanting alongside them. “Magia tollox de terras. Magia tollox de terras. Magia tollox de terras.”
The blue magic shot down right at me where I wanted to close my eyes but didn’t. Raising the stake up in the air with my right hand it blasted down into it. “Magia tollox de terras….Solvo.” The Saltzman twins and I each bent over once the magic disappeared and I saw the white oak flash blue and then returned to its normal color.
Alaric quickly moved forward, leading his daughter’s away. “All right, come on, girls.”
“Niklaus. Raelyn.” Elijah vamped outside the circle about to step In until I raised my hand performing a new barrier spell.
“Clostrum. One day you’ll thank us for this, Elijah. Come on girls.” Waving my twin daughter over to me I held the Ascendent in one hand and poured the Bennett blood into it with my other hand.
Alina and Missy each grabbed a hold of the object with me while the white oak stake laid in the grass at our feet. “Sanguinem filio, sanguinem effurgarex perpetuum. Sanguinem filio, sanguinem effurgarex perpetuum. Phesmatos filio, phesmatos effurgarex perpetuum.” Closing my eyes we all three chanted together until the white oak was picked up by a bright flash of white light and then it disappeared right in front of our eyes.
“It worked.” Dropping the object onto the ground I saw Hope standing beside Elijah now sniffing through tears before I broke the barricade and let her run straight for us. Klaus vamped into the circle tightly wrapping us in a family hug sobbing through heavy happy tears finally back together.
Elijah just remained standing there staring at where the stake was so I broke the hug taking his hands into mine. “Elijah, I know right now you blame yourself. I have experienced all of what you are feeling when I killed Jacob. But now he came back every time I look at him. I’m over the moon and thankful that he got a chance to come back.”
“But it’s still my fault. They got hurt because of me. How am I supposed to get through that, Raelyn.” He started crying where I pulled him in for a tight hug.
He wrapped his arms around me sobbing while I talked into his ear. Running one hand through Elijah’s hair I struggled to not start bawling myself. “Things will get better, Elijah. There are days that it will haunt you and others that it won’t. Yet I can tell you that when you get to keep watching our daughters and son grow up. You won’t regret a thing I swear it.”
“Thank you, Rae. You were the exact person to give my brother his redemption and I’ll never take that for granted.” He sniffed through some tears before we all headed back to the old Mikaelson compound.
Elijah had decided to move back to New Orleans with Marcel and Rebekah. Kol and Davina were traveling the world. While Jackson had moved here with Alina so they could go to school together even though they were already married. Staring at myself in the mirror brushing my hair away from my neck I picked up my brother’s necklace. Clasping it around my neck I heard someone come into my bedroom so I spun around on my feet seeing my brother. “Jacob, what are you doing here? I thought you and Hayley were going back to Orleans.”
“We thought about it. And then we heard about the school the girls and Henrik go to. So I thought I should let you know we are moving here and enrolling Andrea next year.” Jacob walked through the doorway with a childish grin plastered on his face until he stopped in front of me.
Smiling brightly at him I fling my arms around his neck where we spun each other around in circles laughing. He wrapped his arms tightly around me hearing how happy I was about this so he broke the hug looking towards the doorway. “J, that’s amazing. Ohhh I’m thrilled for you and for Andrea…wait what is it?”
“Well I didn’t think it would truly be home without one person. Come on in.” He called out to whoever was standing in the hallway.
Covering my mouth with my hands I burst out crying happy tears at who was there. “Dad. Holy cow. I can’t you’re moving from mom.” Before me my father was standing and he opened his arms letting me run into him like I was a child again.
“I’m not leaving her, baby. Your mother once said that a witch is never truly gone. She said that her spirit will always be everywhere in nature so she is with us always and forever.” He broke the hug where I still rested my hands on his shoulders until he led me down the stairs and into the hallway of the mansion where the Mikaelson portrait was hanging. “I have a present for you too. I knew she would have wanted this wherever I was.”
“The portrait of us.” Sucking in a sharp breath I released some tears down my face. Hanging beside Mikaelson's sibling portrait and the one of Nik and I with our kids. The family portrait we took a few ago was right beside them. My phone vibrates in my back pocket pressing it to my ear. “Hey Nik, what’s going on?”
His sweet voice came through the phone making me giggle at him. “Come and find me, siphon queen. Where it all began.” He hung up the phone without another word.
“I’ve gotta go. I’ll see you both later. I love you.” I yelled vamping out of the mansion and ended up outside the Mystic Grill. Shoving my hands in the pocket of my jacket. Pushing the door open with my foot I shake my head giggling at him sitting at the bar. “What makes you think of coming here of all places, Niklaus?”
Klaus sat down on a barstool holding up a glass of bourbon and he tilted his head down at the drink for me. “This particular place is special to you and I. This is the first place we ever met one another.”
“I remember every detail. I launched you into that wall with my magic.” I climbed up on my barstool picking up my drink taking a long sip still smiling longingly at him.
Nik tilted his head to the side smirking. “And it hurt very much, love. All for asking you for your name.”
“Now we are married and have four kids. We’re certainly a long way from the big bad wolf.” Raising my glass I clonked it with his when he responded back to me grinning.
“And his siphon Gemini runaway. I love you, Raelyn. Always have and always will..” He leans forward pressing his lips against mine softly sitting his glass down he cupped my face in his hands deepening the kiss.
Wrapping my arms around his neck I kissed him back smiling into the kiss. I savor the feeling remembering the night we met so clearly and I was proud to see where I was now. “I love you too, Klaus. Always have and always will.”
