ACOSF: Nessian and different Acts of Love.

If you have been around a while you might have seen online or heard about the different Acts of Love. They are:

1. Words of Affirmation

2. Gifts

3. Acts of Service

4. Quality Time

5. Physical Touch.

So I want to look at some of the Relationships or Characters and their love languages after reading ACOSF.

Nesta: She struggles to show love, she feels undeserving and so shuts herself off from the world. But once she opens up and begins to let love in and share it with others she becomes all about acts of service. 

Acts of Service such as when she stands at the Pass to protect Emerie and Gwyn. She helps Gwyn get a book into the Merril’s office - not just giving the book to her, but actually going and putting herself at risk. She then stands up for her again when Merril is on the Warpath. She also gives herself and her time to learn to Dance so that she can dance with Eris and Elain doesn’t have to.

She also uses gifts. She gifts Emerie the tea that she knows she would appreciate. She brings books for her friends. She gives her magic to save her sister. She also brings items to the house that she thinks the house will appreciate. She helps create their magical beacon friendship bracelets.

Nesta is not a word of affirmation girl. She would rather do everything else.

Cassian: Cassian shares quality time. He did it with Feyre - training her, getting to know her. He does it for his family always being around when anyone needs to talk. He trains the Valkyries, he waits for Nesta at the top of the steps each time she runs them. He takes Nesta for a five day hike. He waits. He plays in the snow with his brothers. He goes shopping for thoughtful presents and spends time doing it. He took time to learn to dance, for Nesta.

Cassian is also craves touch to show he cares - such as reaching out to touch Nesta’s shoulder when she is struggling, or brushing close past her. He’s always entering Nesta’s bubble in the house or when she is sad. He brushes the hair from her face. He stays near her by brushing his hand along the small of her back as they walk. He kisses her temple. Kisses her forehead. simple sweet kisses with no lust. He might not give her cuddles after sex for fear of it all ending but he certainly uses his body to show he cares about her.

Cassian also gives gifts. He gives thoughtful gifts like the solstice presents for family. He also sought out Nesta’s solstice present a rare illuminated book. And then the symphonia - a rare orb that he had especially recorded music onto that she loves. 

The House: The House is a gift giver.

Mor + Emerie Headcanon / Compromise

I wouldn't mind a Mor X Emerie slow burn across all remaining books only to have a novella dedicated to their mating ceremony and wedding at Athelwood.

Mor walking up the Aisle, her family and friends crying and smiling at the same time. Everyone with their partners kind of like how KoA had that ending scene showing everyone as happy and settled.

It would be the perfect ending.

No wars, no hate, just love.

And it would mean so much more because SJM hasn't written any weddings or mating ceremonies in ACOTAR - to finally get one and for it to be Mor and Emerie's. I would be so happy.

Plus you get a whole novella, of final planning, people arriving, shenanigans, all good shit.

Let me have my slow burn and three books of build up.

Let me have Mor being happy and safe and opening a whole part of herself up to her family. Her secret home and her love.

Let Emerie feel safe and ride horses and run an estate and be the best wife.

Let Mor have a library that she gives to Emerie in her home.

Let Emerie fly to meet Mor in secret.

Let their love blossom slowly and beautifully.

Let them be married.
