Astrology Observations - Rising Signs & Planets

Cancer rising as a parent unintentionally will tend to impose their upbringing's rules and traditions unto their household, and if these are discarded or not followed, they can get pretty upset or offended (they won't tell you this, tough), because attempting to organize and structure the life of their loved ones is one of the strongest ways to show their tenderness and care. This is especially true in routines related to food and family time.

Saturn rising, particularly in Capricorn (and to a lesser degree in the other earth signs) gives amazing bone structure, pretty teeth and refined face shape (well-sculpted cheekbones). They are likely not ones who have experienced broken bones in their childhoods. Depending on the ASC sign, Saturn here may also cause short stature and a sturdy anatomy.

Gemini risings often possess appealing and vibrant gesticulations, beautiful and elongated hands, feet and limbs, a unique tone of voice and a ridiculously contagious smile or laughter. On the flipside (sorry to say this), many of them are very good liars and tricksters, as their high intellect quickly figures out what you want to hear and see in them.

A secret us Scorpio rising folks don't what you to know is that whenever we are interested in you, our eyes will give us away rather easily. We'll hardly confess our feelings until much later, if at all, but if you feel under a microscope in our presence (if you are subject of our involuntarily eerie and soul-piercing gaze), you should know we really like you. You might as well think we hate or despise you... but it's completely the opposite!

Leo risings have gorgeous thick and voluminous hair, usually on the wavy side. They love to buy nice things that draws attention to them, as they enjoy standing out of the crowd even if they are more on the reserved or introverted side of the spectrum. They really don't mind spending their money on costly clothes, makeup or jewelry if they think that makes them more beautiful, even if it actually damages their finances. They love to select and buy gifts too!

Jupiter rising can exaggerate your rising sign's ruling body parts. For example, in Cancer: large boobs or wide thorax / in Taurus: wide and sensuous lips / in Libra: beautiful face, amazing skin and voluminous butt, etc. Unfortunately, Jupiter rising folks can also get overweight super easily.

Mercury ruling risings (including Mercury 1st house and Venus in Gemini) usually make the native look younger than they really are. They also have something really noticeable about their walk... from clumsy to swift, all styles will differ, but they will move in ways that are out of the ordinary, for some reason.

Mars ruling risings NEED some sort of intense physical activity to be balanced, if not, they can literally go crazy due to all their bottled-up anger and restless energy. That's why many of them have a knack for the military, gym or sports, not only because they are good at them, but because this eases their stress in a way nothing else can. And yes, sex is included too.

Water risings, particularly Pisces (including Neptune and Moon in 1st house/conjunct ASC) have the most mesmerizing stare. It doesn’t matter their size or form, their gaze is otherworldly, ethereal, and somehow hypnotic. Water rising souls speak through their eyes, and I’m in love with that.

A Mars rising man can be mistaken for a f*ck boy much easier than other placements, especially if they have Air or Fire in 1st house. Women with this placement have huge sex appeal too, but they tend to attract a lot of envy and rivalry from other females, as their personality is perceived as confrontational and aggressive, even if they don’t act that way. This configuration gives good results when they work with men, but not so much with women.

They can be very intimidating just by their appearance, and sometimes even their personality. For some reason, they like tattoos so they’re also more prone to getting them just out of impulse. They can look very young even when they’re older. Let’s say an Aries Rising is 34, they’ll look like they’re 25 or even younger. Leo Rising ↑

They can put their spotlight onto others if they really wish to, and can often just like help people and lift people up when they’re feeling down. They also just like give off this confident and assured energy that other people see, but often, this is not the case and instead, they can be really insecure. People with Leo risings will often act more like their Sun sign since Leo rules the sign. They often have amazing, curlier hair, high cheekbones, strong, defined jawlines, cat-like features, average height, a good hairline, bigger upper body (which often makes their lower body look smaller), and golden/bright undertones. Libra risings kinda just have this way of taking too much problems on.. it’s like they think they can handle it, but then they’re like “oh shit,” if that makes sense. I genuinely love Sagittarius rising’s so much. People often think they’re very lucky, wise and knowledgeable & it’s true. Many celebrities with a Sagittarius rising are very iconic as well. Sometimes their humor can literally be seen in what they wear, and it just makes a statement to be honest. They do seem more naive, free-spirited, and impatient so sometimes people may actually underestimate them, but they’re actually ruled by Jupiter so they have a lot of higher knowledge & in some cases can be very intuitive. DISCLAIMER- Placements will not play out the same way for everyone and having challenging placements + aspects does not mean that you are a bad person or that you will have a bad life. Take what resonates and leave what doesn’t

-people with mars in a water sign (Pisces especially) tend to love water sports and dislike activities that are too strenuous on the bones

-a Saturn return for someone with Saturn in the 3rd house will involve learning how to express themselves effectively and with intention and speak up when they or others are being wronged. It can also mean reconnecting with siblings, and extended family, and picking up some new hobbies

-libra placements are either the peacemakers/mediators of their friend group or the biggest instigators

-at best, Leo moons may have seen their mother as someone who helped them foster their creativity and was always supportive of their endeavors no matter how out-there they sounded

-at worst, Leo moons see their mother as someone who often made everything about herself and used her children’s accomplishments to brag. Comparison among siblings could have been a huge issue as well

-people with mars conjunct ascendant tend to have a lot of physical strength and often look angry and quick to offend especially if it sits in the 1st house. If it’s sitting in the 12th house, people often feel like they have to walk on eggshells around you and they often can’t put their finger on why that is

-Mars in the 12th house conjunct ascendant can mean that in your immediate past life you may have died in battle, in a fire or during a very turbulent time in general.

-Chiron in the 6th house can sometimes indicate an unhealthy relationship with food. If it’s aspected with Jupiter it can indicate a tendency to binge and overindulge. Aspects with Saturn can indicate following a strict diet and punishing yourself when you eat something that you consider unhealthy

-people with the Sun squaring or opposing their ascendant tend to not relate with the stereotypes associated with their Sun signs and are most likely to be skeptical of astrology because of it

-if the moons are squaring each other in a synastry chart, there will be an emotional disconnect in the relationship and therefore a lot of unnecessary misunderstandings and clashes. If regular check-ins aren’t done, one person will feel like their feelings are always being disregarded by the other person and resentment will build over time

basic astro observations and opinions

we can all agree that cusps aren't necessarily real, but i've noticed that people who are born about a day or two before the sun moves into the next sign, possess similar qualities to the previous sign.

the first house has a lot more to do with the bodily health of an individual rather than the sixth house. after all, the first house sets the tone for one's natal chart and is literally you (physical body) while the sixth house represents daily routines and services. (maintenance, diet, care of the body).

water & air mars natives can be a lot more aggressive and/or snappy than fire & earth mars natives.

water signs aren't as emotional as y'all make them out to be.

i can agree that a scorpio moon is debilitated, but i disagree about its expression. i feel as though scoprio moon natives can feel their emotions very deeply, and they do have a layer of emotional intensity.

any planet that is debilitated or has hard aspects is a major opportunity for growth and development. once you learn to work with those energies, your life will be a lot smoother.

you'll never be able to fully heal your chiron wounds, but they do become easier to manage. not only that, but the topics pertaining to your chiron will allow you to become a professional in experience, so you can help others in correspondence to your chiron themes.

if scorpio can represent control, taurus can represent binging. wherever your taurus-scorpio axis is can show you where you feel the need to be more in control vs where you can potentially binge.

human nature is flawed, so this means that a sign's energy will never be perfectly manifested since it's in contact with human nature. if one judges a sign based only on a person's behavior, they can be judging the effects of human nature on the sign rather than the sign itself. a lot of people do not take the person out of astrology before giving their interpretations, thus, distorting and diluting astrology to one's personal experience rather than what it is at its core. it's one thing to joke about signs and discuss your experiences with certain energies, but to allow that to distort your perception and interaction with people, prohibits you from experiencing different energies and it's unfair.

The Folly of a Water Sign

Hey folks. The Cancer Full Moon just passed and I'm feeling heavy and watery and emotional. What better way to process than to reflect on our aquatic feelers of the zodiac?

As a sidereal Pisces/Scorpio combo, I have a pretty good understanding of water energy and exactly how our energy gets so fucked up. Water is...formless. It's shifting, or being poured into, or being diluted, or being mixed with others. It is both infinite and deep. Both independent and exposed. We are everywhere, in everything, and connected to everyone. Scorpio is probably the best at hiding their softness and Pisces the least. I presume all three are a bit too raw for the world. Too aware of what dwells in their hearts. So what is our folly? I believe our karma has a lot to do with boundaries, emotional intelligence, and conflict resolution. We must learn about our own emotions and how we use those emotions to respond to situations or affect our path. What we deserve, like all humans, is to be happy, to experience joy, and to free ourselves from situations that do not serve us. It is the path to learning such things that we of water find our challenge and our lesson. For water, it's often a matter of emotional investment. Where is that emotional energy going? What you put your heart into will either serve you or hurt you tenfold. If discernment is not implemented, if there is no self-awareness, then you will remain stuck in harmful cycles. Scorpio can be so attached to an outcome, to success, and to achievement. Pisces can be indulgent and too forgiving. Too caught up in whims to lay two steady feet on the ground. Cancer is so attached to what they feel they won't make room for anything else. We're sentimental and emotional--liable to get stuck on feelings and people and moments and substances and habits. Our other achilles heel, victimhood is alive in the shadow of each water sign. We all at one point or another shout into the void and demand some sort of validation for our pain and misery. It must be something else. It must be them or that thing that happened four years ago or this person who never showed up for me. And what to say of Forgiveness? Pisces excels at this, to the detriment of their own soul. Contemplating forgiveness merely leads me down an equally challenging path and I fear for both myself and the water signs who don't learn this. What is forgiveness? Is it for me or for you? Do I need to know why I forgive you? Does forgiveness mean betraying myself? Is forgiveness even guaranteed? I don't know the answer to any of these questions. I'm trying to figure it out myself. And so, I release this letter into the ether. To my fellow water sign brethren and all those who are lost on their way home, I invite you to pray and reflect with me. There are years of questions, and years of answers. I await the answers.

astro observations pt 8

fire moons have attatchment issues. for some it seems less likely but trust me, they do. some are more in control than others, and are able to hold back on a person before they get attatched, but some arent able to have any control over it.

sun at 0 degrees (in my experience) has a massive ego. like that is a life lesson for them, either gaining self-worth and self-respect, or learning that they cannot be ego-y and selfish to that certain extent.

water sign over 10h may sort of manifest their future career? whether they acknowledge it is manifestation or not, they're fully convinced on their future career and 'know' what theyre gonna be, no matter what

also this with sun/mercury in 10h really amplifies this because they have such strong work ethic and determination

overall, i think the houses we have water signs over we in a way manifest. like these are the houses we are definite of our opinions on, or we daydream about it a lot. eg, a guy i know has pisces over 2h, cancer over 7h and scorpio over 10h and he is always super confident that hes gonna be ridiculously rich, like more confident than a child fantasy, he says all he wants in life is a 'girl to make (him) happy and a good job that pays well'.

water moons may want to keep the relationship more private, like some will tell a few close friends and some may not tell anyone. its not like a strict rule but its more personal preference, emotions are strong, tense, and intimate and it may feel abnormal for others to know how they feel, like an intrusion.

im obsessed w the confidence on people who have a scorpio asc in asc persona chart oh my god, like dude they are so smooth and like im so drawn to them i want them
