I SAID I WASN’t gonna post these but. I’m super proud of this barest concept alone so I’ll explain:

I think I mentioned before how for several years I’ve wanted to do a complete redesign of all of the motu characters. A passion project of sorts. I’ve started off very slowly with just working on sketch concepts, and I have others I’ve done/have thought about in some depth but this is the one I’m thus far most proud of, and also the one I started with. The Sorceress.

My version of the Sorceress is basically the same, except she looks visually older. I don’t know how old exactly the sorceress is meant to be, but seeing as her daughter is in her 20’s then I imagine her to be at least in her early 40’s-50’s. I always imagined the mantle of grayskull to he a heavy burden on her, particularly since she’s been its guardian since she was 15, but in my interpretation the guardianship is all encompassing. Grayskull keeps its guardians in check, and even her clothing shows its control over her by sometimes partially covering her face. I extended the beak on the headpiece so it’s above and below her face. When she turns into Zoar, the beak closes to lead into the transformation. Her cape changes from a cloak of feathers into true wings when she lifts them with her arms. The clothing is a part of her body.

I have a pretty big bias toward the Filmation canon of motu, since it was always my favorite, so I’ve always sort of imagined her voice the most like Linda Gary’s interpretation, which is lofty and soft. I would even pick out a voice claim, but I haven’t come up with one. All of this is really just to orchestrate my dream interpretation of motu, and the Sorceress has always been a very important character to me. She has a sadness to her that always stuck with me and intrigued me as a kid. She had to be the first character that I worked on.

normal thumb compared to the one i cut a piece off of. it's healing very fast which is crazy. you can tell a small chunk is missing and you can see it was somewhat considerable by the piece of my nail that's missing but i honestly thought i would have more of a dent bc it was pretty gnarly looking at first. the human body is amazing it's like completely rounded at the top already

the funniest meltdown ive ever had was in college when i got so overstimulated that i could Not speak, including over text. one of my friends was trying to talk me through it but i was solely using emojis because they were easier than trying to come up with words so he started using primarily emojis as well just to make things feel balanced. this was not the Most effective strategy... until. he tried to ask me "you okay?" but the way he chose to do that was by sending "👉🏼👌🏼❓" and i was so shocked by suddenly being asked if i was dtf that i was like WHAT????
