Doflamingo x Female Reader

Warnings: Fluff, slight angst- Doflamingo is probably out of character because I write him with emotions and not as evil lol (if you need another reference just basically imagine him as Klaus from the Originals lafdkafds)

Words: ~1400

First things first- There are three ways I imagine this going

1. (the most likely way) Doflamingo goes a tad crazy, gives no cares, and simply takes the child after deeming his lost love long unworthy of going with them for not telling him she was pregnant unless he can find some use of her or she proves herself rather quickly

2. He keeps tabs on Reader and the child constantly but that is it. Takes no action unless necessary

3. Actually puts effort into coming back into their lives by forcing them to come back to Dressrosa where he can spoil them silly

This scenario is going to be a mix of 2 and 3 because I want fluff lol. Anyway, enjoy:

Doflamingo stares long and hard at the piece of paper before him. The pictures that accompany them make his blood boil with anger, but his heart yearns with interest as to what happened. What this is. Why it happened but more importantly… Why he did not know.

The woman in the picture is beautiful… Very beautiful and very pregnant. A shock to him. She will always hold a special place in his heart. She taught him how to trust on a certain level and yes, even in the end she did leave him, the end of their relationship was left on a good note. Even so, he can’t lie about not looking for her.

After the mutual breakup, he looked far and wide for her, wanting the presence of a person he could trust right by him. He would try to persuade her to come back but… He never found her. Until now that is.

So… Why is just now finding out she left him… When she was pregnant? Why is just now finding out he is a dad?

The piece of paper is just the island name of where she is residing. Not too far from Dressrosa but not too close either. It saddens him for a moment. Did she not trust him? After everything they have been through together- All the learning of loving each other, the trusting, did she really not deem him worthy?

Him the King of Dressrosa?

He would like to think that he would be a perfect dad- Nothing like his silly foolish father who stepped down from the royal life he could have had. No, he would give the child everything they could have ever asked for. The mother of his child wouldn’t need to lift a single finger. He would spoil them, protect them, do anything for them…

So why?

It is a question he wants an answer to, and he will get an answer to. No matter what. That is what he promises himself as he looks at the next photo- One of his former lover no longer pregnant but… With the child- A darling little girl that has his blonde locks and her mother’s eyes.

The anger simmers down as he decides he will bring them both home. He will try to because of that little hope he has in his heart for growing a genuine family- Nothing like the one he helped destroyed, it means everything to him the longer he stares at the two faces.

The brief reminder of Corazon… Pains him but it will not be like that. Corazon simply did not have faith in him. These two… He will show them that he has their best interest at heart.

Finding them, was rather harder than expected. They were at the island that was disclosed to him by someone who recognized her but… (Name) really was too good at blending in with this island. It was rather busy. Cute for it being a bigger place.

So many families too, Doflamingo notes. The thought slightly irks him. Five long years without her and five long years of missing out on the child they created. He has every right to being mad. He has every right to go on a rampage.

Just as he wonders if he should demand someone to show him where she is- He hears a gasp behind him. One too full of shock that it grabs his attention immediately. However, what he did not expect was to feel tiny arms wrap around his legs- The way Baby 5 and Buffalo used to.

He glances down to see the girl from the pictures staring up at him with a wide smile. Her eyes are so gentle and for a moment… Remind him of only innocence as she stares up with genuine curiosity and happiness.

She even speaks to him- And in that moment he already knows that she has him wrapped around her finger- He would fight and kill anyone who would look at her remotely wrong. Is this what it is like to be a dad?

“Hello! I think you’re my dad!”

A laugh comes from behind him again and this time his heart feels like it is stopping because he knows that laugh so well. It haunts his dreams because he loves it so much- It used to be the sound that he tried to coax out of her every day. It is (Name).

He turns and indeed when he sees her… Doflamingo realizes just how long it has been. Too long in his eyes but… She looks as perfect as the day he first saw her. Those (hair color) locks and stunning (eye color). She has not physically changed in the slightest yet… She is still the most stunning person to him. Her eyes look down to their daughter before going back up to meet his.

“I need to put her down for a nap. She had a busy day at the school. I suppose you want to talk then?”

How is she so calm about this? The rage wants to come out- He wants to lash out but… He also just wants to hear her out. He wants to hear her side to everything. That and the way the little girl is holding onto his leg sleepily.

It just makes him melt. He says nothing as he follows the woman to her house. The place is too small for his stature but… Perfect for (Name) and their lovely daughter. It takes just a few moments for (Name) to put the girl to sleep and come back out to join him.

When it is about to grow quiet, he immediately asks, “Why didn’t you tell me?”

(Name) knows what he means. She has a sad smile on her face now as she asks back, “Were you ready to be a father? It is not as simple as you would have thought… It… How do I say this gently? You are selfish. Okay… That came out harsh but… You are. You look out for yourself and pull your family in with you.”

The pretty face that he is in love with does very little to comfort him after those words. That is until she continues.

“I was going to reach out when I found I was pregnant. I thought you would have liked to know but then I remembered why I left. I wanted to find myself and I did. Then… Then she was born, and I realized what being a parent is. You- Make all these choices hoping it is what is best for them and that is simply what I did. I thought you would not want to be in our lives, so I said nothing. I did not want you to have to choose between your dream of being the King of Pirates or her because we both know what you would choose,” (Name) says her tone sad now.

Doflamingo’s anger is valid but… So is (Name)’s in this regard because she is right. He does not say so because he knows he could have both. He will prove he can have both but for now…

“How does she know I am her dad?”

(Name) smiles at this. She pulls out a picture of Doflamingo and herself from her pocket. It is a good photo too. One of them hugging each other. He remembers it because the family kept photo bombing all the rest.

“I told her. Everything about you. I could not lie to her about who her father was. How much he did love me and would have loved her, but I also could not lie to her about how big your goals are. Of course, she is a child, so she does not understand. All she knows is that you want to be a bigger King. She has dreamt of meeting you for a while now.”

These words. He can salvage this. He can unite them. He knows he can. So, he will. He will have both the family and his dreams as he desires.

“Let’s give her a proper meeting then when she wakes up… And (Name), it is good to see you. I hope I can manage to convince you that Dressrosa would be a brilliant place for her.”

The way (Name) stares at him. Yeah, he can convince her.

But I’m defo gonna dip into Camileda under the cut ÒωÓ

There’s defo some palpable awkward tension when the two first meet. Like I don’t think Luz allows them to be in the same room together unsupervised because they are a ticking time bomb of a yelling match just waiting to happen.

Camilia has some choice words she doesn’t want Luz to hear and Eda has some words that are on par, but she doesn’t care if Luz hears it. For a long time, between them they just glare daggers at each other in silence until Luz leads one of them away. Eventually Luz doesn’t have a choice but to leave them alone (maybe she and Lilith have to go somewhere??? And she leaves King in charge of keeping them from clawing each other’s eyes out?? He agrees and gives her a military salute and then almost as soon as they’re gone he curls up on the couch and falls asleep). The only reason these two women aren’t actually at each other’s throats is because they’re trying to be civil for Luz’s sake (and so they don’t wake King).

They do talk and sort everything out and give their perspectives of the roles they play in Luz’s life and eventually find the closure they need to accept this other mother figure in Luz’s life without feeling intense hatred (and jealousy).

Once everything’s been smoothed over, they actually start asking each other about the details and intracacies of each others worlds. Eda NEEDS to know more about her human shit that Luz makes light up or make noise or whatever she does that makes the seemingly broken objects come back to life. Camilia is infinitely curious about magic and how Luz discovered she could also do magic if she’s biologically a different species that doesn’t wield magic by nature. Her enthusiasm about magic and all its little details actually remind Eda of Luz and how hard she’s worked since she first came to Isles. She actually can see so much of Luz in Camilia and vice versa and it actually kind of warms her heart to know that Luz’s mom is just as much of a dork as her apprentice.

By the time Luz and Lilith come back they’re just infodumping back and forth and shooting rapid fire questions at each other with giant smiles on their faces while King sleeps between them on the couch and Luz and Lilith just sorta stare at them in shock because that was NOT how they left them. They left like 2 hours ago and those two were one wrong glance away from eviscerating each other. And now they’re going back and forth like they’re little kids that just met each other at the playground and immediately clicked.

Luz is immediately relieved and actually so thrilled that her mom and her not-mom-but-kind-of-mom are finally getting along that she can’t help but squeal and run to them and throw her arms around both of them to pull them into a big hug. She maybe accidentally knees King in the process and wakes him.

After they’ve settled their beef w one another, feelings are fair game. They love watching the other do the things they do best (Camilia being an amazing mother to Luz and getting super into whatever medical thing is required of her at the time [Luz and King get into a lot of trouble for the amount of physical harm they get into] // Eda being an unconditionallly supportive mentor that’s on the same wavelength as Luz in so many things, admitting that Luz has been teaching her magic since she lost her magical ability).

You can’t help but admire someone that’s passionate about what they do, especially when they do it well.

They unconsciously start adopting each other’s interests (Camilia likes learning about magic too and sometimes sits with Eda and Lilith during their glyph lessons. The first time she gets a light glyph right, she outright squeals and pumps her fists into the air just like her daughter and Eda’s heart skips a beat because she has no right being that cute // Eda is actively paying attention to what Luz is about to get herself into and stopping her before she can get herself hurt; also brushing up on her healing magic and trying to see where potions and healing magic overlap so she can start making more healing potions. Camilia catches her up at like 2 AM reading from a book and stirring her potion and asks her what she’s working on so late at night. Eda admits it’s a healing potion and as she’s babbling about the why, Camilia feels her own heart flutter because good lord this woman cares so much about Luz’s safety).

Then feelings happen and romantic clichés occur and Luz is their #1 cheerleader and they all live happily ever after because they deserve it god damn it. (I’m going to get into like, actual fanfic territory if I don’t stop now lmao)

I do think they’d have some stuff they need to talk about before either of them learns to like the other, but I DO think they could like each other :D

Helluva Boss Trailer Analysis!

Yes, I watch this. Yes, I like it. No, I won’t argue with you about it.

Now that that’s out of the way, let’s just say that I was up when the trailer dropped, and was still up for a bit after. I’ve watched it so many times now, just absorbing everything, and now it’s time to break it down.

I’ve seen a few breakdowns already, but I noticed that there were a few things people hadn’t mentioned. So I’m tossing my hat in the ring, let’s see if we can figure out what Vivziepop has in store for us!

I’ll be breaking down by scene, as well as go over voiceovers and predictions real quick, so prepare for a read after the cut!

Ok, first, had to laugh at Millie’s Peppermint Vodka Molotov Cocktail. Creative, but what a waste of vodka :( The background is of a beach, but she’s not in beach clothes (let’s face it, a bikini would probably kill Moxxie)

Moxxie is shooting at something while he’s swinging from a rope in a deserted theater. Piano on the floor, and a sun pattern on the back wall

Blitzø (thanks for the copy/paste, Google) cleaving a blonde in half with a baseball bat. Damn, he stronk!

Diss Summar’, with the little doodles! So cute :3

Drunk/drugged/in shock Moxxie, poor Millie, and something big bursting out from the water behind. Tied to first scene?

Stolas’ ‘Special Access’ bit from the Sneak Peeks, talking about the Harvest Moon festival in Wrath

Moxxie and Blitzø in a green lit room, looks like a two-way mirror on the wall. Interrogation?

Correction to ‘Diss Season’ XD Hopefully that means we’ll get an episode before spring, but if they need more time, that’s understandable

Glammed up Stolas at some kind of burlesque, owned by Asmodeus ‘Ozzie’, Prince of Hell’s Lust circle. Wonder why he’s there...

CHERUBS!!! Also from the Sneak Peeks, we know that this is a commercial, and that the TV showing said commercial gets blown up a few seconds later

Angry Blitzø, probably yelling at Moxxie, being scared shitless by a hellhound behind him. I think this is a repo/impound/chop-shop guy who took IMP’s van, as in a later scene, they’re shown in a fence with other cars, especially because Blitzø yells ‘RUN’ at the end of the scene

Loona and Blitzø filming someone’s misery (again, probably Moxxie). They’re in western outfits, but they’re probably still in Hell

Tentacle wrapping around drugged Moxxie and taking him, too fast for Millie to react and stop it. Again, looks like it’s tied to the first and fifth scenes

Sassy Blitzø, probably talking to the repo-hellhound or punching-bag Moxxie. Same setting as scene 11

Blitzø running to the window of what looks like a recording studio, with ‘VM’ spray painted on the doors next to him. He looks distraught, but it’s not clear why

Recently choked-out Moxxie recovering, while being frame by a spiny-tailed Imp wearing what I assume is a serape, since it looks like they’re on the ranch Loona and Blitzø cheered a poor soul, scene 12

DEPRESSED BIRD DADDY. WHY ARE YOU SAD??? IS IT GONNA MAKE ME SAD??? OH NO I’M NOT READY unless its a flashback, but stilllll

Perturbed Blitzø holding his special flintlock in a western-themed room. Looks like he has his outfit from scene 12 on, probably the same episode, but whatever happened/is going to happen, it’s not good

Dressed-up Moxxie, who probably jumped bombed a performance, is upstaged by Robo Fizz and most likely a Robo Ozzie, given the designs on its’ head(s). He looked uneasy even before the Robos popped up, so something else was going on first.

Scaley eye blinking and getting MAD, attached to the tentacle that kidnapped Moxxie?

50% off add for Spring Break victims, complete with coffee stain, and Blitzø‘s horse doodles. I got a mental image of Moxxie scolding Blitzø for drawing at work, so he BS’d it into an ad.

Either Blitzø is a terrible driver, or they’re trying to speed away from someone. Repo-hound, maybe?

HUMAN!!! Almost definitely a human pop-star singing on a Coachella-esque stage! I tried to fill in her name, but could only get ideas of what some letters were. Her initials are most likely VM, from the recording studio scene, but the bottoms of some letters could be an E or L, K or R, so we’re left with V~(L/E)(K/R)OSI(K/R)A MA~~. It also looks like she’s wearing heels, so she may be the person who threw Blitzø in a later scene

Moxxie about to be trampled by what can only be a horse, given his outfit. Loona and Blitzø are probably filming XD

Shocked Stolas, standing up at table. Same outfit as the burlesque, but he doesn’t looked surprised enough that it’s the part where Moxxie is upstaged, more something emotionally jarring. Blitzø kissing someone else, maybe?

Blitzø pushing Moxxie out of the way and pinning him just outside a Hell portal in an alley, most likely Earth. Blitzø looks mad, and rightly so, as he’s looking a little beat up himself. Connected to the interrogation scene?

Happy Blitzø turns horrified outside some elevators with Moxxie. Judging by the water cooler in the back, I think he’s about to slam into the recording studio. Behind him, Moxxie gives no shits

Blitzø looking miffed, maybe at something Moxxie said. Looks like the same scene with the repo-hound, as the setting itself looks like an impound lot, with the IMP van smack-dab in the middle of it. I love that the license plate is IMP-666 though

Unhappy Blitzø (ok, let’s be honest, when IS he happy?)

Moxxie swinging Millie around in the deserted theater, passionately frenching each other

Blitzø getting pushed down by a horned, high-heeled... someone. Again, might be the pop star from earlier, but there’s horns... Maybe the pop star is human-passing, and has an alternate demonic form, like the Hazbin Hotel cast?

Western-clad Blitzø pulling his flintlock on someone, most likely before scene 18. Most definitely Hell, judging by the poster and previous scenes, but I’m digging the décor

Blitzø not getting a break at all during this trailer and being yeeted into a dumpster, which closes on him. Gonna take a stab and say it’s outside the burlesque Stolas and Moxxie were in, from the colors and posters of Lust Ring, Personal Companion Robo-Fizz, and Angel Dust.

The next scene is of him climbing out of a dumpster to fall into another pile of trash. He just doesn’t get a break, does he? It doesn’t look like the dumpster outside the burlesque, but it is similar to the alley with the hell portal, where Blitzø pinned Moxxie. Maybe not the same scene, but most likely same episode.

Editor being absolutely plastered, teasing all the fun stuff to come in 2021, since 2020 can go f*ck itself.

And that’s a really in-depth breakdown of all the scenes in the trailer! Now, for the voiceovers.

First, Loona’s asking if anyone ‘Can feel that?’. Interesting thing to ask, so we’ll have to wait and see what catastrophe happens

Millie gently yelling at Moxxie to ‘DON’T PANIC’

A calm voice announcing an elevator’s departure to the Lust circle of Hell, which is most likely where the burlesque and Robo scenes are. As to who is going, it’s either Stolas or the IMP crew, or maybe both?

Horny Stolas cooing ‘Oh, Blitzy!’, followed by Loona’s ‘SHUT THE F*CK UP’ from the Loo Loo Land episode. Finally, I have a high-res clip I can set as my ringtone!

Blitzø yelling ‘Dammit, Moxxie, this is all your fault!’, which may or may not be true since he scapegoats Moxxie, who replies ‘How is this my fault???’

Pop star asking, ‘Y’all ready to get f*cked up and make some b*tchin’ bad choices?’. It’s most likely her talking, since the her lips synch up with her scene, and it’s a new voice we haven’t heard before.

Moxxie’s cut off ‘M*THERF*CKER!!!’. So happy I get to hear Invader Zim go off, poor boy needs it XD

Blitzø being Blitzø and trying to tone down a big deal, stating again that he doesn’t pry into their personal lives, even though he obvious does (see Helluva Boss Pilot for more)

Robo Fizz’s line from Loo Loo Land asking if anybody loved Blitzø. I’m gonna be honest and say that line choked me up in Loo Loo Land, and so did Blitzø’s response, until ‘But I’m really good with guns now. DANCE, B*TCH!’

Moxxie ending with ‘That is deeply unsettling’, again from Loo Loo Land. Throwing shade on Helluva Boss haters, maybe? :3

All right, now, predictions!

Chaos in a theater, with focus maybe on Millie and Moxxie’s relationship, maybe an origin story? It won’t be the only one, with the tentacle beach monster and drugged Moxxie bits, so we can expect a lot of story and character development from the two of them.

Farm episode! Blitzø either drags them onto a farm, or there’s a client who invites them, but sh*t will happen.

Really excited to see what happens in the Lust ring, and for the return of Robo Fizz! Baby boy only got a few minutes of screen time, but is currently my favorite character.

Repo episode of rescuing the IMP van, probably resulting in overall team building and character development. I really want to see Loona tear a new one into that *sshole-looking hellhound, though.

Pop star episode! Really excited to meet this new character, I wonder what her name is and how close I was XD Either Blitzø and Moxxie break into her recording studio to meet her, or she’s a client, but we’ll see!

Trapped on Earth/Run in with Earth authorities episode? That interrogation room didn’t exactly look Hellish, and they obvious meet some kind of resistance while on Earth that looked like it was gonna get messy...

Stolas episode! Please please please be flashback and story, I loved Loo Loo Land but really want some more lore and development on his character and maybe relationship with Blitzø. Bird obviously needs to work through some things, and I really want to watch him grow, ever since I saw him struggle to tell Octavia why he was cheating. Him stuttering and ultimately being unable to find a reason why really hit home, and I’m glad it was something they included since in media, it’s always ‘Well, she’s really ugly’ or ‘I don’t love him anymore’. He still has feelings for his wife, but wanted to f*ck Blitzø too.

Even without the trailer, we do know that we’re getting episodes focusing on CHERUB and a Harvest Moon festival, but still. There’s so much content Vivzie and Co have been working hard to make, and I can’t wait to see what they have in store for us. Dark comedy aside, there’s so much story they can make just around these four characters, following their growth and happenings around Hell. It’s such a cool premise and one that hasn’t been washed and worn so many times, like cop or murder shows, and I can see this going on for quite a bit.

So we start off the series with a heist. Not exactly what I was expecting, but I won’t lie, kind of intrigued. Seems Teela isn’t entirely good here which kind of takes me by surprise. A thief isn’t what I think of when I see her.

Heist is going well, I see. Modulok sounds kind of interesting. Wouldn’t mind seeing it be a thing to watch in real life. Imagining people having to balance on their hands for hours at a time is something I need to see in action.

Huh, I like Teela’s powers. I’m kind of hoping this means we’ll get a mix of fantasy and sci-fi in the world like Magix from Winx Club. We’ll have to see. But Teela got the sword! And there’s a voice in it. Of course there is. I’m guessing it’s gonna ask her to take it to this show’s version of Adam.

That explosion from the bomb looks off. I think it was 2D, but I can’t say for certain. Either way, Teela didn’t give the sword to the other villains and is now tasked with finding the Champion. Knew it.

Theme song is… eh. I don’t hate it, but I don’t love it either. It’ll either grow on me, or I’ll end up just not being a fan. Time will tell.

And now we meet Adam! His hair is going to take some getting used to. It’s the style. It’s not bad, but there’s something about it I can’t shake. I’m sure in other angles it’ll look better, or maybe I’m just being weird.

Adam is trying to save a cat from a tree branch. Not the usual set-up for this trope. Also, him using his body as a bridge when they make it to the top of that crevice reminds me of something. I wonder what it could be…

So Cringer has found himself in a poaching attempt. I didn’t realize he would be declawed. It makes me wonder why he was given how bad that is for house cats. Can’t imagine it’d be better for big cats.

So Adam is keeping that band on his arm as the last thing from his life before. Krass, really don’t think telling Adam they stopped looking for him is helpful. That being said, seeing the Tiger Tribe makes me realize why they got their name. Also, Teela is there in a tree.

Adam. Teela. Magic! Locked up. What a turn of events. XD

They’re after Teela. The sword not letting them track her with magic is kind of interesting. Shows that the sword is more powerful than the sorceress. Though the poacher bots aren’t magic. It’s only a matter of time.

Teela let herself be captured. I guess the sword really did lead her to Adam, who doesn’t seem all that bothered by magic. Kind of like getting a few hints to how Randor is. It’s slowly giving info out without overwhelming. And she seems to know Adam is from the city. Already have an idea where this is going.

“Adam’s like a brother to me.” I’ve heard that line before. And the village is under attack. Duncan, the apprentice, showing hesitance to burn the place down shows he wasn’t meant for the life of a villain. I think he was in the intro, so that makes sense.

So Teela had Adam take the real sword while she takes a fake to get Evelyn and friend away from the village. Smart but also dumb given she has no idea what the landmarks here are. But hey, seeing her try to not let the place burn is cool, as was seeing Duncan save Cringer.

Teela had to be saved, and Adam brought out the sword. I know what’s about to happen!

We have our transformation! In typical first transformation style, Adam is shocked at his new appearance and power. I’m excited to see what Evelyn does in response to this development. I’m also wondering if they’ll move Teela from near the cliff soon.

Narnia - The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe & Prince Caspian [My opinion on the Characters - Ranting time]

So @mytreec , @leahstypewriter and I have been discussing Narnia recently so I thought I would give it a watch again after all those years. Oh my, did I have a rollercoaster ride in that 4+ hours.

I would like to also state that I do not remember what was in the book, it’s been over 15 years since I last read it and whilst I loved the movies, I did not get caught up in the book much.

First I will start with all the negative personality traits I have experienced within the characters before I’ll go for the positive attributes.

Also I would like to say that it’s not an official review from me or anything, I simply needed to rant. My language is very poor and mostly pissed off throughout the rant xD

Peter!

So from the very beginning I was very sceptical. I remembered that I did not like Peter much back in the day and once again, my feelings haven’t changed much. The way Peter talks to Edmund, trying to overpower him, always scolding him, sometimes even in an aggressive manner, such as when Lucy showed them the wardrobe or when they arrived to Narnia, just made me want to slap the boy to shake some sense into him.

Of course, it is visible that he loves his brother, they are laughing together right at the beginning of the movie, but the amount of hurt he has caused him already with his attitude has already pushed him away. No surprise that the boy feels attacked even when Peter just wants the best for him.

I loved how Peter handled Lucy, always caring for her, always being there for her. And whilst he didn’t believe Lucy when she found Narnia and indeed he was a bit of an arse, I do believe I resonated with him, because the older you get, the less you believe. Obviously Lucy as the young one would have a wider, more vivid imagination.

As they arrived to Narnia, I started to like him more and more. The way he struggled against all the odds and finally collected himself enough to show a more logical thinking, instead of just being plain bossy definitely showed a growth in personality for me.

If we just look at how he welcomed his brother back. They didn’t jump into each others neck, they still had their walls up, but that little joke about trying to not wander off was perfectly enough for them to understand each other. I think that was a point where Peter started to understand Edmund a little more.

Also the courage he showed as he led the army in to battle was a positivity for me. Instead of just talking down on people and telling them off, he finally learned to rely on others, that he is not alone. The little nod he and Edmund exchanged for the battle to start, I like to think that wasn’t just a signal, it was also a symbol of trust. But then I could be reading too much into it.

In Prince Caspian, once again he started off by annoying me. From the very first moment he and Caspian met, it was like a dog fight. Who the alfa is. I just can’t understand how this man has always someone to disagree with. (Referring back to the fight in Strand underground station and his issues with Edmund)

It seems to me that Peter, just like Caspian has some underlying inferiority issues, because that two does nothing, but bickering.

However when Caspian almost brought back the Witch and Peter fell into the same trans, oh it showed how freaking similar they are.

The development between the two, the discussions, the agreements and lack of arguments showed that both finally accepted that they needed to work together, which was important in their development.

However once again Peter had an issue with someone, just like before with Edmund. It really makes me question what he is thinking and feeling, because this is not about being argumentative, this is straight up being bossy.

Lucy!

Oh dear Lucy, my sweet little bean. Back in the day when I last watched the movie, I thought she was cute and innocent. Oh god, was I wrong?!

Is it just me that is concerned about Lucy arriving to Narnia and agreeing to go and have a cup of tea with Tumnus the faun? Is it just me that watched the screen with a gobsmacked expression when she said she thought he was a friend after he has confessed planning to kidnap her?! - Haven’t their parents told them not to talk to strangers? Haven’t their parents told them not to go anywhere with strangers? For God’s sake, what on earth have their parents taught them?!

Back when I watched the movie I didn’t find it creepy, but now it raises some concerns that a little girl would just get up and have a cup of tea with a faun in a world she doesn’t even know. o.O - Excuse my ranting over here :)

Anyway, Lucy is a bundle of joy, innocent and sweet, believing everything, which I rather call naive, but let’s ignore that for now. She is this cute little girl and that’s how she was stuck in my head, but after rewatching the movie, that little girl had some serious things to say and some seriously sarcastic comments to add. To quote her “Don’t worry, I’m sure it’s just your imagination.” :D

I was shocked at how adult-like she could be, even more so than her siblings and it was certainly refreshing to see. Whilst she kept her innocence, she showed a brave and grown up attitude.

Lucy for me was put at the backseat in prince Caspian, but I lover her just as much as in the first movie, but she didn’t play a big role in my eyes.

Edmund!

Edmund was one of those characters that I liked and disliked at the same time back in the day. Peter’s constant nagging had affects on his attitude let’s start with that, but the boy really needed some spanking to get him back on the right path, because he was even more annoying than back when I last watched the movies and don’t even try to defend him for his hardships being caused by Peter.

And let’s be honest, the boy lies better than anyone I know. Straight up lying to Peter and Susan when Lucy is trying to prove to them that Narnia indeed exists was a mean move, my boy.

Of course our ball of aggression is arriving to Narnia and guess what, dumb as Lucy, he eats and drinks whatever the Queen gives him and not even like taking it out of a bag or a compartment on her sleigh, no, the woman makes these things with a drop of liquid and our main character doesn’t even question it. I would like to refer to my previous renting - What on earth have their parents taught them?! Edmund is not even that young anymore, the lack of suspicion from him was disappointing.

And what bothered me even more, the boy now feels a rush of honesty and spills all the secrets. Up until now he was lying, now he has this honesty burst and lets it all out. From one end on the spectrum to the other. Oh boy, he got on my nerves.

Now obviously we could see that the boy had some issues from the beginning and he wasn’t the nicest of characters from lying to spilling too much. However, I have to give him, that it was visible that he was conflicted with what to say, what to do, what was right and what was wrong and if I want to be honest, we can all relate to that. Nothing is black and white, we make decisions that we feel are right, but others might choose differently.

I have to say that in the battle when he ran to protect Peter, I like to think that he didn’t just do it because they are brothers, but for two reason; one being the fact that he had his personal issues with the Queen and he grew enough to stand up to her and secondly because while we saw him as a little coward, he developed the bravery he needed to stand up against someone who he perhaps knew that he didn’t have much chance against.

His belief in his brother, Peter that he could lead them, him accepting that his brother is indeed a good leader also shows that he finally left his sulking behind and he can see a side to him that he deliberately tried to ignore.

The boy who has finally grew. He has a very good development in my eyes. And not jus the fact that he has been smart and witty, but the way he always seem to get Peter out of trouble, the way he had the strength to stand up to the Witch again. That boy grew hell of a lot.

In Caspian, he kind of took the backseat for me, just like Lucy.

Susan!

Back when I watched the movie, she annoyed me to no end. Her smart comments, “realistic” way of thinking as she said and logical thoughts made me roll my eyes. However now that I have grown up, I can see where she was coming from. They happened to arrive to a place that they don’t even know, their brother gets captured out of nowhere, they meet talking animals and they are being told that they are part of a prophecy. If I want to be completely honest, my girl was right, I would have said let’s get out of here too.

But then her logic was also something that pulled her back. Peter was ready to save their brother and go on a search, and this little teenage girl keeps on going on about leaving. It was very hard not swear at my screen.

She is actually the character who didn’t show me much development, but she was also the kind of character that I didn’t feel like she got enough time on the screen. I personally think she had way more layers than what we have worked with and it would have been better if we started to see into her character a little more.

Now we have got to see more of the girl in Caspian, but is it just me or she still didn’t have much contribution physically or personality wise to the story? Please correct me if I’m wrong, but I just can’t remember much of her doing anything other than exchanging looks with Caspian, leaving with the horse and being saved by Caspian and well, being “logical”.

Prince Caspian!

Okay let me start off with the amount of love I have fo Ben Barnes. Obviously this has clouded my judgment before. When I say before, I mean I thought for years that Prince Caspian is a flawless piece of man. Oh God, was I wrong?!!! Very!

The man is a ticking time-bomb of idiocy. It’s not enough that he decided to confront his uncle in the middle of a secret attack, he dares to blame Peter for what he has done. It was all his fault for losing so many of their army to begin with. If he kept to the plan, they wouldn’t have been exposed.

If it’s not enough, the man has an inferiority complex. I mean the way he tries to overpower Peter (let’s not talk about the way he responds, I already did above) is ridiculous. He is a young prince who knows nothing but the stories he has heard. Peter at least has been through a war before.

And let me mention when he almost brought the White Witch back, I thought it can’t get any worse. I understand the disappointment he had, the feeling of being useless, but you can’t just bring people back, you dumb little boy.

Honestly as much as I liked him before, he was so much of a disappointment now, but it’s because I was so enchanted with Ben Barnes in my younger years, that I forgot to actually read him.

However, I really liked the humanity he showed when he didn’t kill the Telmarine King. That showed real development compared to how he attacked him in the castle.

What I considered a huge change also is the way he behaved with Peter later on. He didn’t try to overpower him anymore and so Peter as well accepted his opinion and ideas easier. That was definitely a change that I enjoyed watching.

The White Witch!

I was actually disappointed in the witch in a way. I mean from the very first moment, the way he talked to Edmund was way too aggressive. I personally think that a normal kid would have picked up on how insane she was. I think she would have been a better character if she acted nicely, having some psychopathic tendencies instead of coming off as the villain from the first moment.

The arrival of your next girl was a big wish for both of you.

However, you didn’t know that soon enough someone else would arrive too…

Suddenly your son barged in, hand in hand with a blonde girl you saw once from afar.

You were happy that your little boy finally made you meet his girlfriend, however, you didn’t expect the new you were about to hear.

,,YOU ARE WHAT?!’’ you suddenly exclaimed.

Your mouth was wide open as she repeated her words again.

,,I am pregnant,’’ she mumbled.

You gulped.

,,Dear, how old are you again?’’ you asked her with a trembling voice.

The girl confessed that she was actually fifteen, making you feel sick out of the blue.

You glared at your son.

,,I never hit you,’’ you began, taking off your shoes.

It was harder for you to pick it up so your son helped you and handled you your shoe.

,,YOU RASCAL, EVEN HELPING ME GET THE DEADLY WEAPON OR WHAT?!’’ you screamed, slamming the shoe lightly against his shoulder.

You didn’t hurt him, but you were still angry and just had to wave the shoe.

Suddenly, Jumin entered the room after he picked up your daughter from her music lesson.

Half an hour later, you sat on the couch, mumbling prayers to god as Jumin looked down.

The four of you decided to drive to the girl’s parents, leaving your daughter in the hands of the maid.

As soon as the mother of the girl began to sob because of the sudden news, you kneeled down, begging forgiveness for your son’s actions.

You parents talked about what you should do:,,It’s her body, she should decide, but I’m against an abortion, deep scars will be left on both. I would rather send them to a hostel to protect them both from the media and the people around her,’’ you said.

That’s what you did in the end.

And so, your newborn baby with not even two years became an aunt.

You supported your children with everything you could to make sure that they could have good jobs and take care of their baby.

,,Oh my god! Babe!’’ Zen suddenly barged into the room you were staying in with your two daughters and your son.

You looked up as he happily came to you, hugging you and kissing you.

,,Hyun? Hahaha, what’s wrong with you?’’ you asked him happily when he showered you with love.

Both of you got married when you found out that you were pregnant with your oldest son who was now seventeen.

Your daughter arrived two years later and was now fifteen.

Zen’s little princess by now was already five and was for you, the last child you would push out of your body.

Zen always wanted to have a fourth child, but of course he would always respect your decision not to.

But right now, he felt like you gave him a special present.

,,Thank you, Jagyia!’’ he laughed with tears in his eyes.

,,For what, Hyun?’’ you laughed.

Zen suddenly showed you the pregnancy test he was hiding the whole time, making everyone except the little girl and your husband stop breathing.

Zen looked at you, his eyes were wide open.

Zen was frozen.

Zen was slowly realizing the situation.

Afterwards, you all visited the boy’s mother.

You didn’t intend to make her look down on you, but happily, she was on your side, promising to come up with everything she could.

Yoosung

,,Mom, Dad, I need to tell you something…’’ your daughter began in the morning.

Your three sons looked at their sister.

She was the third born in the family.

You and Yoosung began to make babies pretty late, but you still had a big family and handled them pretty well.

Your oldest boy, who was nineteen, was your pride and was currently studying hard to become a lawyer, while your second son, who was only two years apart, wanted to become a teacher really bad.

You were proud of all your children, especially because they all wanted to help people in need.

Even your daughter whose dream was to become a nurse.

Luckily, your youngest son still had time to think about these things.

,,Yes, tell us,’’ you said, not looking up, but cleaning your three year old boy’s mouth.

You smiled brightly, just a family having breakfast together, nothing could break this harmony.

Your daughter looked up. She was glaring at you right now.

,,Don’t speak to me that way!’’ you hissed slamming on the table.

The atmosphere just went down to a deadly one and no one knew what to do.

Yoosung just felt like crying suddenly, and before he could even shed a tear, he simply fainted.

,,I had a weird dream….’’ he moaned when he woke up, looking at his son.

,,No dad, Sis really got pregnant,’’ the son mumbled.

Yoosung jumped up, looking in disbelief at his son.

The blonde boy waited at home with his two sons while you, his wife, and his pregnant…daughter and his oldest son met the boy who was partly at fault for the ruckus.

You came home with teary eyes, your daughter red like a tomato and the oldest son totally pale.

It came out that the boy was a total idiot.

,,He didn’t care at all. He said that it was all her fault and his parents weren’t any better!’’ you cried into Yoosung’s arms.

This was hard to accept for everyone, but you all still had to support your daughter.

Luckily, you weren’t alone at this since even the RFA supported you in this hard fight.

Jaehee

Everyone knew the two supportive mothers in Seoul who had a coffee shop and tried to make everything possible for the only son they had.

These two moms were none other than the both of you.

Sixteen years ago you finally could give birth to your little favorite boy who was still the happiness of your lives.

He was a cheerful boy who gave you so much…

You and Jaehee were just tidying up the coffee shop when he walked in, his hand holding the hand of his girlfriend.

Both of them were childhood friends and two years ago, after a lot of drama, your little boy confessed to her.

,,Hello, you guys! We were just about to prepare dinner!’’ you said and smiled happily, but your instincts immediately hit you and you knew that something wasn’t right.

You and Jaehee sat together while the two teenagers were in front of you. They looked scared as they began to play with their hands.

,,So, I actually made her pregnant…’’ your son confessed, making both of you stop breathing for a few seconds.

You two nodded and looked at each other.

Becoming angry now would be idiotic.

There was nothing you could change by now, was there?

And so you got up and hugged them both, congratulating them.

,,I’m not hyped. You two are still children and have still a lot of responsibilities, but yelling won’t help.

What do you want to do? Keep the child?’’ you asked them.

The young girl nodded. She was really happy that you reacted that way.

Jaehee, who was following your lead, got up and patted their shoulders.

You guys knew that the young girl didn’t have an easy household, so you agreed to meet her parents.

They of course, yelled and weren’t supportive at all.

So it was just natural that the two teenagers went to you when they had issues.

You all agreed that your son would work at your shop to make money and go to school at the same time while the girl would study hard so that she could make a decent graduation.

Saeyoung

Your husband kept clapping his hands as his son confessed that his girlfriend was pregnant.

You, however, didn’t react the same. It was the opposite.

It seemed as if the angry feeling Saeyoung overplayed was left out by you.

,,HOW CAN YOU BE PROUD OF HIM?!’’ you asked your husband who shrieked by your sudden yells.

He looked at you.

,,Well….’’ he tried to mumble.

,,Getting angry over spilled milk would be dumb, right?’’ he asked you, making you even angrier.

You were disappointed and took your twin daughters by their hands.

You stayed in their rooms with them and began to reflect about the best way to go on with the situation.

Your son was just a seventeen year old boy after all.

He was just as dumb as your husband.

A freak like him who was still going to school. He was still a little boy…

,,Mommy, why are you crying?’’ one of your five year old daughter asked you, looking at your tears.

,,No…It’s just that your brother and a girl made a mistake and now a few things will be harder on him…and I’m just worried…’’ you confessed.

,,Isn’t it because you’re jealous?’’ the other girl asked you.

Her words hit you deeply. How could a five year old see your real problem?

,,Daddy didn’t react that way…I think you care more about oppa in problematic situations, just like Daddy does with us…’’ she told you, leaving you shocked.

She was right.

You were angry at the girl, but it was also your son’s fault.

You knew that this eventually would have happened one day. Of course not that early, but still…

And just like Saeyoung said, being angry wouldn’t solve anything.

The young boy suddenly entered the room and hugged you.

,,I will work hard. I will begin a part time Job at Uncle Jumin’s place and make money to support them…I will try my best at school…I won’t disappoint you anymore, I promise!’’ your son also sobbed.

You quickly hugged him again and patted his back, telling him over and over again that you would be there for him.

And even though Saeyoung seemed well, he made sure that his little girls wouldn’t have manly friends for a long long time…

Saeran (personally my fav)

Your husband would laugh at the people who would have told him that in the future he would be a proud father of three wonderful children.

He would have hit everyone who would have told him that he would live peacefully with his brother, which he believed had left him.

He would have blushed for every comment about the deep feelings you had for him.

Saeran simply couldn’t believe that everything else other than being by Rika’s side would have made his life better.

But indeed it was true.

Thanks to you and the RFA’s help, he could save Saeyoung who got kidnapped.

With you, he could finally experience true love.

Love for you on your wedding day nineteen years ago and the birth of his oldest daughter afterwards.

And even if he didn’t know that was possible, a constant love for the twins you gave birth to afterwards.

Saeran was a proud dad and overcame his fears.

But right now, he was facing something he never thought could happen.

His daughter, who just turned 18, was pregnant. Her boyfriend, next to her, dark red while she looked into his eyes.

She had a strong and constant way of looking, never looking away.

He knew that she noticed that he was disappointed and he knew that she would have wanted to burst in tears, but he also knew how strong he raised the most beautiful girl.

She looked just like you, his dearly loved wife.

Her hand was on her boyfriend’s and over her still flat belly.

He was no good. He was way too weak and her will was stronger.

This, no good, boy made her pregnant. Saeran was sure that his daughter would never show him her weakness out of her own pride.

Saeran wanted to slap the boy and to yell, but as soon as he saw your smile he knew that this was the wrong reaction because you were just as strong as his daughter.

,,We will support you,’’ he began, feeling that his daughter was slowly becoming less nervous.

,,I’m not happy that this all happened so early and you will have to work on your mistake on your own. We will be here if you need help, but we won’t take over your mistakes. Your youth is over now,’’ Saeran said.

His daughter nodded and the boy looked up.

With a trembling voice he promised to take good care of her.

Afterwards, both of them stepped out, on their way to tell the boy’s parents what was happening.

While Saeran’s princess stepped out as an adult woman, he saw her little figure, waving a last time to him with her bright smile.

,,You did well…’’ you whispered when he suddenly felt something wet on his cheeks.

,,You can cry now. She won’t see you…you did well, Saeran…’’ you said, hugging him strongly.

Jihyun

The gynecologist looked pitifully at you while she confessed that Lucy was pregnant.

Lucy began to cry while you were holding her hand.

,,It’s okay, we can do that…’’ you told her with a trembling voice.

You thanked the Doctor as both of you walked out hand in hand.

,,Mom, I’m sorry-’’

You quickly made her stay silent.

,,You can’t regret it now. It’s a part of you, but it will be okay. As long as you can live with it, you won’t get crushed by the hard times,’’ you told her, holding her hand.

You knew that Jihyun would be the last person on this world who would prejudice Lucy for her mistake.

But the community was what scared you.

Lucy would surely have a hard time, but you were there to help and protect her.

Both of you arrived at your home where your birth children and Husband waited for you.

He brightly smiled at you, but quickly noticed that something was wrong and came to hug both of you.

The three of you sat together and talked about it.

Jihyun nodded and stayed supportive.

You decided to send her to private school a few hours away so that no friends would talk bad about her.

Of course they would talk bad about her eventually, but for now you wanted to keep the stressfactor away from her so that she could focus on her well being.

You and Jihyun talked a lot about it and eventually decided to move homes so that she didn’t have to stay alone.

The sad, but at the same good thing in the situation was that the boy who made her pregnant didn’t even stop her from moving.

But even though Jihyun wasn’t like that, he wanted to make sure that he would regret his mistakes a lot, and with the help he got from his best friend, it was possible.

Vanderwood

,,How could this happen?!’’ Vanderwood asked his son as he shook his head.

The boy who was sitting in front of him asked him if he really wanted to know how he did it, making Vanderwood even angrier.

,,Vanderwood, don’t you dare hit your son or else I will hit you!’’ you hissed, defending your son.

,,You know why this happened?! Because you go too easy on this rascal!’’ Vanderwood suddenly hissed, making you chuckle.

,,You should have told him how the manly body works and what condoms are for!’’ you hissed back.

You looked at your son and took his hand.

With your soft voice, you asked him if he knew what he did.

,,Yes, Mom, I’m not a child,’’ the boy responded.

Vanderwood slapped his hand on the table.

,,This shitty comment already shows me that you are a kid! You made a mistake!’’ Vanderwood hissed as he glared at his sixteen years old son.

You sighed and looked at your son again.

,,So, what will the girl do? You practically ended your life as a child. Parenthood isn’t easy. It’s hard on us and we’re older. Do you know what you will go through?’’ you asked him.

Your son shook his head.

,,She’s pregnant, not me,’’ he commented.

At that point Vanderwood couldn’t hold back and simply slapped his own son.

,,VANDERWOOD!’’ you yelled.

You immediately understood that your son was in much more pain and so you hugged him while he sobbed into your arm.

Even Vanderwood stayed silent now.

You guys tried to talk it over with the parents of the girl but they blocked you and since it was indeed the girl’s body, you couldn’t change anything, even though it was your son’s baby too.

Your family however, somehow, was more united now after this happened and overcame a big scare together.

It sounded like my dear (Y/N)-swan, but… no, it’s impossible…” Sanji mutters to himself with his eyes closed, while you’re standing right there next to him- yelling obscenity after obscenity at the enemy

the initiate shock is so big that the cook might actually zone out for a moment, before he immediately goes into denial

it’s just impossible for him to comprehend. His beloved, gentle, adorable and always sweet (Y/N), calling someone an “Arsebreather”?! No. Maybe this is an illusion caused by the enemy, but he ain’t gonna fall for it!

I mean, Sanji gets to swear and insult people Zoro on the daily, but you???? You have never once done this before, but now you’re just dropping f-bomb after f-bomb, like it’s some sort of obscenity-marathon! God, what is he supposed to do?!?!

Well, he knows the answer. The blame immediately goes to Zoro. Obviously. The marimo, he… he must have done…. something to the cook’s beloved little angel, which explains why this is happening!!!

Robin

“My my, what an obscene use of language! I never thought you would have… such a way with words, dear!”

for a moment she might sound like a Mom about to scold her child, but one look at her raised eyebrow and suprised smile tells you everything you need to know. She’s intrigued, maybe even lowkey into it

not even Robin could have guessed that something like this was lurking within you, but how entertaining! Is this perhaps your way of keeping the enemy distracted or to catch them off guard…? Because judging by their suprised expression, it certainly worked!

as a proper scholar she of course knows about the ‘art’ of combining two offensive words into a brandnew one to create another form of insult, and after you throw the first few obscenities, Robin is curious to see what else you might come up with! She’s basically taking a break to study you and your suprisingly raunchy mouth now lol

Robin is definitely not going to stop you, but every now and then she will correct you if your use of words and combinations don’t make much sense. “'Dickpussy’? Now (Y/N), you know better than that- such a thing clearly doesn’t exist! Why don’t you try pairing the words with something else?”

Corazon

“…………………………………………………………………………………….wHAT DID YO–????!!!” for a moment he almost forgets that he’s supposed to be mute and just starts screaming lol

Rosinante is just as shocked as the enemy when the word 'Sheepshagger’ suddenly rolls off your tongue. The poor man never would have expected to hear something like this leaving your tender lips, and right after this he’s obviously struggling to come to terms with it. At first he even thought you were referring to him for some reason

once you really start going though, the marine spy simply tries to focus on the fight. But still, he can’t help mouthing all those things you’re yelling out… Chickenfucker…. Cockwomble…. just where did you pick up on all that?!

there are so many questions burning on his tongue, but he can’t break character. So all Roci can do now is look for an opening, hoping that there will soon be a moment for the two of you to talk about… this

his cheeks are probably awfully red and he’s puffing them out the longer the fighting and your assault of insults lasts, oh how he wishes that you would just… stop. It has never been so hard for this man to keep up his silent facade!

The Real Key

Okay, so this is a short fanfic inspired by the events happening during the episode “Race to the Spire” (so don’t read it if you haven’t seen it yet, what are you even doing there? x)). The��“mysterious ghost girl” said something and I had something else in mind for the whole episode so I needed to write it down XD Just before the end of the series tomorrow (Whyyyyy T.T!?), I thought it was a cool alternate ending for Cassunzel fans.

It hasn’t been proof-readed so there might be tense mistakes and things like that, I just hope everything makes sense. Don’t be afraid to let me know if it’s not the case!

And by the way, no, I haven’t forgotten you, I still need to translate the 6 remaining parts of The Alchemy of the Heart, I will! Someday... Hopefully... x)!

Cassandra was staring at the wall, frustrated. That unbearable Calliope just did a magic trick preventing her from reaching the precious item which could have allowed her to control the Brotherhood… That item which rightfully belonged to her!

The ghost who accompanied her, for her part, was still smiling.

-And it looks like we’re gonna need that key after all…

-Calliope sent it to Rapunzel, answered the young woman, clenching her fists. And something tells me that she won’t just hand it over to us.

-To us ? No. But we may have other methods at our disposal…

Rapunzel just get back from the Snuggly Duckling tavern, thoughtful. The night gives advices, she has been told, running to Calliope whereas she had sent her the key to protect wasn’t a choice without consequences, nor the ideal option. However, the big heart of the princess was dictating her to run to the rescue of the guardian of all those precious relics, especially considering how her message was unfinished… Why was she so worried about the person who’s been able to get the most on her nerves, by the way ? Her kind heart would be her doom someday… And what Cassandra could be looking for out there ? What was she up to ? What was the purpose of that item ?

The princess rolled the key between her fingers, putting her arm against the cold window of her bedroom as she was looking at the horizon, the sun setting slowly. As peaceful as the sight could be, her mind was upset… Cassandra.

Rapunzel knew the saying "one can only realize how precious is something when you lose it". She’s always been skeptical towards it, realizing how lucky she was to have her family, the man who loves her, precious friends, and she was beaming with happiness just as the sun she was stem from but… she was realizing today how much that saying was real ; she was realizing how valuable was the thing she lose… Cassandra.

The princess sighted. Was there still a hope of reconciliation after the clash that happened between them ? She really hoped for. She couldn’t get rid of her lady-in-waiting. She couldn’t resign herself to accept that loss. Her friend was still there, somewhere, she knew it. And she loved her. Probably more than she was supposed to… Cassandra.

She sighted her name with an heavy heart when suddenly someone knocked at the door. The princess pulled away her arm against which her forehead was resting from the window, to turn to the stranger who was slightly opening the door, adventuring in her room. No one but Eugene and Cassandra would dare doing such a thing without her permission, so she wasn’t surprised to discover Eugene bringing her a little cupcake with a smirk.

-I think someone ordered a cupcake ?

She answered with a comforted smile, even though she wasn’t fully comforted.

-Ah, Eugene, that’s adorable.

-Are you alright ? Inquired the future prince, worried.

-I’ve known better days, she just answered with a tiny smile, taking the plate from the ex-thief hands to go back to sit to her window.

There was a silence before she admitted :

-I miss Cassandra.

Eugene shivered. He wasn’t expecting that, so he walked to the window, sit in front of Rapunzel, put a hand on her shoulder and said with his most comforting voice :

-Hey, hey, it’s normal. And if you need to talk about it, know that I’m here. I’ve always sense she was a time bomb but…

Seeing Rapunzel scowling at him, he hastened to add :

-… But there is a way to prevent her from exploding ! If you gave me that key, Raps—blondie, I’ll hide it somewhere she would never find! I’m a thief, after all. And the best one there is, futhermore. She will never think you entrust me the key !

Rapunzel looked away, as she seemed to be thinking about that proposition. It was far from a stupid solution, but she refused to put him in danger. Not again. And if he really wanted that key, he could still steal it himself instead of waiting for her to give it to him. Frowning, the princess was considering the proposition in silence before looking at him with a little smile, caressing his cheek from her fingertips.

-Thank you for being there, Eugene, and proposing solutions, it means a lot, but… I won’t hide that key. Tomorrow, we’ll go meet them.

Eugene seemed destabilized, probably by what she just announced, or by her delicate hand on his cheek. He stuttered a little his answer before regaining his composure :

-A-alright, as you wish, princess.

He stood up, walked towards the door, stopped in the middle of the room before turning back to the princess and adding :

-I just thought I could help with what I do best – finding a good hideout for the object, exasperating Cassandra… I respect your decision, blondie, but perhaps you should left that key here so that it won’t end up in their hands… ? I think that--

Rapunzel just stood up to reassure Eugene who seemed to doubt his role in the story. Before he could finish his sentence, she had taken his hands and kissed him tenderly… But the princess frown during that kiss, feeling it was different. Maybe it was because Eugene wasn’t expecting it, maybe it was because he was talking, but she felt something was really different. Stronger.

The young man didn’t react right away, frozen by the lips brushing against his. When his brain was finally able to process the information, he stepped back, tripped over the cape he was wearing, tearing it off his back… and the most incredible thing happened : Rapunzel was face-to-face with Cassandra.

-C-Cassandra?!

She couldn’t believe her eyes. Was she dreaming ?! The cape ! The cape allowed her to take Eugene’s appearance in order to trick out the key without having to fight ! That’s why she felt something was different ! Something stronger than anything she had ever felt before…

The young moonstone woman stepped back, realizing her identity has been revealed in broad daylight. She glanced at the door, guessing that the castle was swarming with guards and that she couldn’t escape without causing new damages, what she didn’t want to do. She considered jumping out of the window, but Rapunzel took her hands, freezing her once more.

-Cassandra, you don’t have to flee, please, listen to me.

Shocked, incapable of thinking nor pronouncing any word after the way the events have gone by so fast and what she felt, Cassandra just looked at the princess while she was brushing the stone above her heart, her hand brushing along her shoulder to touch her cheek again, even more delicately than she did earlier. Her emerald eyes dived into hers with a tenderness she’s never seen before while she simply murmured :

-I love you.

And without any more word, she closed the distance separating their lips to unite them in a delicate kiss, charged with a love she had ignored so far. Cassandra felt all the bitterness she had, all her walls, break into pieces. The kiss was short, but it seemed like an eternity to her as she was realizing at the same time all the mistakes she had done, feeling her tense muscles, after the discovering of her identity, finally simmer down. When Rapunzel stepped back, Cassandra looked at her with glimmering eyes, not understanding what just happened, stunned by the turn of events. She clearly hadn’t imagine that. She blinked, trying to analyze the situation, while the princess took her delicately in her arms, squeezing her softly against her heart… And Cassandra just gave up the fight. She fell to her knees, the princess accompanying her in her fall, and squeezed the girl she loved with all her heart in her arms aswell.

That’s when she felt it. The moonstone started to glow with a new beam, a blue light, cracking the armor it had created for her, whereas Rapunzel was glowing with a light comparable to the sunlight. The magic operating was surprising and a bit painful, but the two young women just tightened their grip on each other to face it. Soon, the silence prevailed again in the room while the moon was rising outside. When they finally parted to look at each other, Rapunzel had regained her short hair and Cassandra was back to her normal appearance. By reflex, she put a hand to her heart, finding the moonstone in pieces. Things were back to normal, she probably had lost her powers, but would the people of Corona forgive her for her wrong ?

Rapunzel squeezed her again in her arms, tighter this time, too relieved to have her back with her to let her think about anyone else. It was just them, Rapunzel and Cassandra, and the rest of the world didn’t matter anymore. She needed her. She would make sure the rest of the world would forgive her. She loved her.

Cassandra wrapped her arms around the princess waist, burying her face in her shoulder, letting a tear escaped on her cheek.

She’d been there, all that time.

She’d finally found it.

Her destiny.

A Father’s Day Gift

Written for @stop-breaking-my-heart-telltale ‘s one shot monthly challenge. Glad I was able to achieve all the points again and still make it sound natural XD

Summary: Willy learns from A.J. that it's Father's Day and wants to celebrate, but who can he give a Father's Day card?

Read on A03:

“Hey, AJ, whatcha doing?” Willy hopped over to the picnic table, watching his friend busily coloring away at a folded sheet of paper. For a second there, he’d reminded Willy of Tenn.

AJ looked up from his work. “Making a Father’s Day card,”

Willy’s nose wrinkled in confusion. “What’s that?”

“Aasim was talking with Omar about how it’s today. He said it’s important for us to remember all the old holidays and keep celebrating them to remember our history. It made me think about last year when Louis and I got those flowers for Clem on Mother’s Day. So this time I’m making something for Louis,”

Willy looked down at the card. It read “To: Louis” then below, “HAPPY FATHERS DAY”. Underneath was a drawing of a stick figure with squiggly noodle hair Willy figured was Louis then AJ with his afro and Clementine with her bun on either side of him. It looked nice. “I want to make one too!”

A.J. looked confused. “Who will you make one for? Your dad’s dead,”

“So is yours!”

“Yeah, but now that Clem married Louis that makes him my dad. You don’t have a mom or a dad,”

Willy’s face fell at the statement. He looked round the front yard, thinking about all the others. Clem and Louis weren’t A.J.’s real parents, just the ones he chose, so Willy knew he could make up his own too. If anybody counted as his mom, it was probably Prisha. She always made sure he had enough to eat, made a big deal about telling him how smart he was whenever he showed her a new invention and hugged him a lot. But then who was his dad? Mitch came closest, but he lost him years ago. Plus, he’d been more like a big brother. And Willy was pretty sure parents didn’t let you play with bombs.

“Hey there, goofball,”

The boys looked up to see Clementine making her way over to them. She playfully ruffled A.J.’s hair, ignoring his attempts to wriggle out from under her grasp. “Hey, Willy. What are you boys up to?”

“Secret stuff,” A.J. declared, leaning over to cover his paper. Then his eyes lit up in excitement. “Oh, Clem, can we go down to fishing shack today?”

“That depends. What do you want to go there for?”

“I’m gonna break off the mirror on the old truck that’s by there and give it to Louis as a present. That way next time he gets something stuck in his teeth he can find it right away and won’t get so embarrassed,”

Clementine chuckled at the memory. “That’s a good idea, but why does it have to be today? You and I will have fishing duty together later this week,”

“It’s ‘cause today is Father’s Day!” Willy exclaimed.

A.J. glared daggers at Willy for revealing his true motives.

Clementine look surprised before her face softened into a tender smile. She looked down at A.J., a hand on his shoulder. “If you want, we can go right now. I just need to ask Aasim to cover my watch shift for me before we go,”

“OK!” A.J.’s anger immediately dissipated with the promise of an outing.

Clementine headed out to find Aasim.

The boys colored in silence for a few minutes before A.J. looked over at Willy’s drawing in curiosity. “So who are you making a card for?”

“I don’t know,” Willy shrugged. “I’m just gonna make it super awesome then figure out who to give it to later,” He’d already drawn a bunch of explosions on the inside of the card. Now he was drawing a detailed picture of his possum Garbage on the front. He still wasn’t sure who to give it to. He didn’t want to lay it on Mitch’s grave. That would just make him sad like it always did. Louis was already getting A.J.’s card so he didn’t want to copy. Omar was shorter than him now; it’d be weird to give him the card. That only left Aasim.

Willy thought more about Aasim as he continued to color in his card, adding cool gears and more explosions on the back. He knew Aasim had looked out for him ever since Mitch died all those years ago. When he was smaller, Willy thought he annoyed Aasim since the older boy always seemed to want to be alone writing in that journal of his. Over the years though, they’d seemed to come to an understanding of each other. Aasim would play games with Willy and listen to all his crazy ideas about new inventions to improve Ericson and Willy would help Aasim out where he could and sometimes even listen when he went on and on about historical stuff.

Aasim wasn’t really Willy’s father, but he was probably the closest thing he’d ever had. He made sure that Willy stayed safe when they were out hunting, taught Willy to read and write better even though Willy had the attention span of a fly, and always seemed proud when Willy accomplished something. Hesitantly, Willy scratched out a message on the card: “To Aasim, Happy Fater’s Day”. Realizing he’d forgot the h, Willy jammed it in super small right beside the t. He hoped Aasim wouldn’t be weirded out by getting this card. Even if it didn’t work out the way Willy wanted, he still wanted to try giving it to him.

Evening fell and Louis and Prisha returned from their hunting trip. A.J. immediately ran over to Louis with his card, the broken mirror from the truck tucked underneath his arm. Willy watched as A.J. said something to Louis, holding forth the card excitedly. Louis looked at it for a moment before the full impact of what was being given to him hit him. An exuberant smile crossed his face as he lifted A.J. up into his arms, spinning him around excitedly before placing him down for a hug. He then took the mirror A.J. offered him, laughing sheepishly as A.J. likely retold the story of the time he got that piece of rabbit stuck in his teeth.

Willy hoped things would go as well with Aasim. He wandered over to where Aasim now sat on the steps of the admin building, reading a book. Willy cleared his throat to signal his presence. “Hey, Aasim. What are you reading?”

Aasim looked up from the book. “It’s a series of speeches by George Washington. You want to hear a bit?”

Willy nodded.

Aasim looked for a good place to start. “Our conflict is not likely to cease so soon as every good man would wish. The measure of iniquity is not yet filled; and unless we can return a little more to first principles, and act a little more upon patriotic ground, I do not know when it will.”

Willy wasn’t sure what to make of any of that.

Aasim could tell that he was lost. “Washington lived during the founding of America as its own country. He fought in a lot of wars for Americans to get their freedom. Here he was saying that if Americans didn’t unite and figure out the reasons why they were fighting for freedom, he didn’t know when or how they could win. Of course now America’s not really a country anymore, just a series of scattered territories. Makes you wonder if all that bloodshed was worth it. Still, I figured it would be nice to read something by one of the Founding Fathers today.

There was that word. “It’s Father’s Day!” Willy exclaimed.

“You’re right. Did A.J. tell you? He seemed awfully excited when he heard me mention it to Omar,”

“I-I made something for you,” Willy thrust the card forward along with the rock from his personal collection he’d decided to throw in as a last second gift. “I know you’re not my real dad or anything, but I thought you’d like to get something for Father’s Day too,”

Aasim seemed touched by the gift. He turned the card over in his hands, looking at all the details. “You did a great job with it. The explosions look pretty realistic and Garbage is spot on,”

“I always know how to draw Garbage,” Willy smiled proudly, his gap teeth showing. He pointed to the rock in Aasim’s other hand. “I thought you’d think the rock is cool too. I found it in the river a while back. It looks like it has scars all over it,”

“They’re quartz,” Aasim said, holding up the rock so they both could see it better. The grey rock was covered with bright crystal stripes. “You know, the way quartz forms is pretty cool. It actually comes from magma deep underground,” He looked at Willy’s uncomprehending face. “Volcanoes,”

“Woah, that’s awesome!” Willy’s mouth gaped open, his eyes large. A couple months ago Prisha and Aasim had made paper volcanoes for everybody to see and had them erupt fake lava and everything. It had been one of the best days of Willy’s life.

Aasim smiled at his enthusiasm. “You’re a good student, Willy. It just takes a bit of work to figure out what you want to know,” He looked back down at the card in his hand. “Thank you for this. It… means a lot,” He paused for a moment before awkwardly pulling Willy into a hug. “Man, I can’t believe you’re already as tall as me. Any day now you’re gonna have me beat,” He was silent for a moment before pulling away to look Willy in the eyes. “I’m proud of you, Willy. You’ve really stepped up over the years to help protect the school and keep everyone safe,”

Willy shrugged. “Just doing my job. You’re the one who does the hard stuff: all the planning to make sure we’ll make it through each winter. You’ve always had my back. I just don’t want to let you down,”

Aasim placed a hand on Willy’s shoulder. “You never have,”

Willy grinned again. It felt good to know Aasim was proud of him. “I guess with the baby coming we’ll all be working a lot harder, huh?”

Aasim’s brow furrowed in confusion. “Baby? What baby?”

“You and Ruby’s. She had me help her sneak back into the old nursery a couple days ago to see if we could use any of the old cribs. Didn’t you know?”

“I…” Before Aasim could answer, Omar’s voice rang through the front yard.

“Dinner’s ready! Get it before it’s cold!”

“C’mon, Aasim! It’s dinner!” the accidental reveal had already disappeared from Willy’s mind as he ran toward the picnic tables.

Aasim stood there in shock, looking toward the greenhouse where he knew Ruby was still working. He was going to be a father. This was all so sudden, so new. His eyes dropped to the card and stone in his hands. In Willy’s eyes, he already was a father figure of sorts. Did that mean with his own child he could be the father they deserved? Aasim felt a spark of excitement lighting deep within him. He certainly hoped so.

Heya everyone! Here's the fluffy start of a new oneshot collection! Lots of AUs, canon, canon divergence and more is coming your way here! Since I have no real motivation (at this time) to start another full on multi-chapter fic but lots of ideas I'll be focusing on oneshots and usually dumping them here, will be updated when something's done XD I'll usually say something before hand as not all these will be related to one another (But some will!) Anyway...without further ado....

This little oneshot features a headcanon of mine that Trolls sing their proposals with specially chosen songs. If a troll sings said song and the one being sung to sings back, they are considered engaged. Rings aren't necessary but some choose to give their future spouse one sometimes. Also please listen to the Peter and Evynne Hollens cover of the song sung here, it's the whole inspiration behind it!

The night was dark, calm, stars shining brightly in the sky with all sorts of nighttime critters scurrying around the forest. Most would consider this time for calm reflection, cuddles with loved ones or sleep but not the tiny forest kingdom known as Troll Village. It was alight with flashing colors and pulsing beats, the bass pounding through the ground and into the feet of many dancing trolls. Glow bugs flew through the air, casting multi-colored light everywhere, glitter bombs were shot across the sky to sparkle down and glitter trolls hung from branches letting the flashing lasers catch their sparkling skin, sending rainbow specks of light over the moving mass of bodies. Fireworks were even shot up high into the sky, exploding and letting more glitter rain down on the tribe of Pop trolls. It was all very reminiscent of a party thrown from the, then, princess three years ago.

Queen Poppy danced atop the largest mushroom in the village square, skirts twisting around her legs as she twirled and danced to the music. She was resplendent in her high low gown, the short skirt allowing her free movement and the longer train giving her an air of regalness. Her crown sat inexplicably steady in the center of her head as her bright pink hair waved in the air as she moved. Pink eyes glowed with happiness with a large grin stretched wide against her face as she watched her people dance and sing and enjoy the night. And as she laughed, joy echoing loud and clear, she shined brighter than any star.

Branch sighed as he watched the party, watched Poppy, from where he was hiding behind a large bush, waiting for the right time to give the signal. She was beautiful, as always, so carefree and happy as she danced, her inner light bright enough to warm the darkest of nights. And hearts. She was his Sunshine and he would be forever grateful for all she had done for him and that she loved him back. Watching her now though, surrounded by all the citizens, dancing and singing to their hearts content, a panic shot through his otherwise amorous thoughts and he turned away, intent on running away.

“I can't do this.” He mumbled, trying to rush off to hide in his bunker. As much as he wanted this, wanted her, this plan was stupid. He needed a better one, a more romantic one! No big gesture in front of the entire village. What had he been thinking?!

A kind but strong hand gripped his bicep before he could get too far, “Whoa there, my boy.” Peppy, previous king of the tribe, maneuvered Branch gently backwards until they were facing one another, a soft but amused smile on his face, “It's going to be alright.”

“How do you know that? You can't know for sure! What if I forget the lyrics? What if someone else decides tonight's a good night to do this too? What if we're attacked right as I start?! What if she doesn't want it this way?! What if she doesn't sing back?!” Branch was on the edge of hyperventilating as he thought of all the ways this could go wrong, worrying about all the ways this night could be ruined. One wrong note could through everyone off! Someone could trip or fall and cause an accident before he could even start! Poppy could say 'No.'!!

Peppy firmly placed his hands on Branch's shoulders, holding him steady as he spoke softly, “Deep breaths, Son, deep breaths. There's no reason for Poppy not to sing back, she loves you. It's going to be fine.” He took a deep breath and let it out slowly, “Breath with me now.” He did it again and again until Branch picked up the rhythm and calmed down, the crazed look in his eyes fading. “There we go. Nothing to fret about.”

Branch sighed, “Right...” He wandered back over to peek out at the party, leaf shaped cape fluttering behind him. He watched the continuously dancing trolls, shoulders dropping as he wished, once again, he could be as carefree as them. Maybe then he wouldn't be so nervous. But twenty years of being gray and self-isolated weren't easily washed away.

Peppy watched the younger troll for a moment, comparing the once scared and angry kid to the brave, caring and willing to try young man in front of him, before smiling fondly. There was no one else he'd rather have ruling aside Poppy. And he knew Alder and Willow, and Rosiepuff, would beyond proud of him. Perhaps hearing that would help calm his nerves a little. “You know, your parents would be so proud of you. Your grandmother too.” And for a moment Peppy wished his old friends were here to see how far Branch had come.

Branch turned, a shocked expression crossing his face, “Really?”

“Oh yes,” Peppy nodded as he approached Branch to look out at the party, “You've become a quite remarkable troll, Branch.”

“But I was...gray for so long...”

“And?” Peppy raised an eyebrow as he turned and placed his hands on Branch shoulders, making eye contact, “You've come such a long way since your 'bunker days', my boy, and you're going to continue to grow and learn. So what if you were gray for a little while, you found your happiness again and that's what counts. And I know your family would be...just as proud of that as I am.” The orange troll chuckled, “Probably more. Cammy too, come to think of it.”

Branch blinked in surprise at the mention of the late queen, “Really? You think so?”

Peppy nodded, smiling as he chuckled some more, “Oh yes. She'd be over the moon this was happening.” He suddenly had a thought, placing his finger on his chin, “You know...she probably would have seen this coming if she were still here. Maybe even would have gotten you and Poppy together long before now.” The old king gave a hearty laugh as he thought about his wife and the match making she'd have gone through for their daughter.

Branch shook his head in disbelief but there was a curious smile tugging at the ends of his mouth, “You can't be serious.”

“Oh, I am! Camellia had the uncanniest ability to know when two trolls liked each other and would do everything in her power to help them realize it. There is no doubt in my mind she'd have done the same for you and Poppy.” Peppy continued to laugh softly as he thought about his wife and her brilliant spark. Oh how he wished she was here.

Branch wasn't really sure how to feel about that, the thought of possibly being with Poppy before now both terrifying him and making him wistful it had happened but he chose not to think about that right now. Instead he focused on Peppy's words of his parents and grandmother being proud of him and how far he'd come since he was gray. He took a deep breath and let it out slowly as he watched the party, “Thank you.”

“Anytime, my boy.”

“And...It's still alright I use your song?” While he felt just tiniest bit less nervous, or at least less panicky, the teal troll was still a little wary about using the same song that Peppy had sung to Camellia for this same occasion.

Peppy chuckled again and gently slapped Branch in the back, “Of course you can! Cammy would want you to, as well. And...I know how much it'll mean to Poppy.”

“Right.” Branch took another deep breath, trying to center himself before going out there and changing his life in one of the biggest ways yet, “Alright....Let's do this.”

~*~*~*~*~*~

Poppy laughed, her voice getting lost in the loud music, as she bounced to the beat of the song playing. The party was going amazingly well! Everyone was dancing, singing, enjoying themselves to the fullest and she didn't think she could be any happier. Her village was safe, happy and there didn't seem to be anything on the horizon to try and ruin that! The only thing she wished was here, or rather the only one, was Branch. He had come to enjoy parties, at least for a little while before he felt the need to leave, so to not have him here, by her side, was the tiniest little bit disappointing but Poppy didn't let that stop her. She'd party with her people until they grew tired and the party ended then she'd go find her ever sensible other half and tell him all he'd missed. She did wonder briefly where he was but then decided he had probably gotten caught up with a project and lost track of time. Which was fine, she'd just have to pull him away from it later.

Twirling around with another whoop of joy, Poppy was surprised when the next song didn't immediately start playing. In fact the music had stopped and just as she was whipping her head around to look at Suki a whistle started to echo around the square. It was familiar to Poppy, something she could almost place when a voice started to sing and it was a voice she was intimately familiar with. It was the one that brought back her colors after all.

“I'll swim and sail on savage seas with ne'er the fear of drowning...” The surrounding trolls had also begun to hum, adding background music to the angelic voice, “And gladly ride the waves of life...If you will marry me...”

Poppy watched, eyes wide, as they moved, parting and creating a pathway for the now spotlight illuminated troll to walk down. She covered her mouth in happy shock, recognizing the song now, as she watched Branch, dressed in a white suit with a cape fluttering behind him, walk towards her, singing her parents proposal song, “No scorching sun nor freezing cold will stop me on my journey, if you promise me your heart...”

Bouncing on the balls of her feet, she could barely contain herself as she dropped her hands, revealing her smile, and let her own voice sing out and answer Branch's, “And love me for eternity~”

She couldn't stop the tiny giggle as she watched Branch's shoulders drop, the tension he had been holding in escaping. As if she wouldn't sing back, she loved him and wanted him by her side, to sing, to laugh, to have a family, forever. That was when the trolls on either side of the mushroom she was standing on created a staircase for her, and forcing herself not to fly down them and into Branch's arms, Poppy descended, singing sweetly, “My dearest one, my darling ear, Your mighty words astound me~ But I've no need for mighty deeds when I feel your arms around me~”

Confidence settled into Branch as he watched Poppy descend and he strutted forward, letting the song and music guide him, “But I would bring you rings of gold,” He'd a ring for months waiting for this day, “I'd even sing you poetry,” He did that, frequently, “And I would keep you from all harm, if you would stay beside me~” He would do anything to keep the holder of his heart safe and happy, she was his everything.

Poppy couldn't stop grinning as she and Branch got closer, “I have no use for rings of gold, I care not for your poetry!” She playfully tossed her head back, hand on her forehead thinking about how much she actually adored his poetry. She smiled up at him, reaching out, “I only want your hand to hold...”

“I only want you near me~” He sang back, taking her hands and pulling her close, his own matching grin gracing his face before he pulled her into a twirling dance, dancing for all the village to see as they harmonized.

“To love, to kiss, to sweetly hold~ For the dancing and the dreaming~!” They spun around, Branch guiding her and holding her close, “Through all the sorrows and delights, I'll keep your love beside me~!” He gave her a spin, twirling her away before gently pulling her back and touching their foreheads together as the village's voices rose to match them, “I'll swim and sail on savage seas with ne'er a fear of drowning, and gladly ride the waves of life, if you will marry me~!” Their spinning slowed until they were just sway back and forth before Branch pulled away enough to drop to one knee, “If you will marry me~”

“YES!” Poppy cried the moment they stopped, tackling Branch and kissing him soundly as the surrounding trolls cheered. Smidge could be heard over the celebration shouting 'About time!' The couple slowly sat up once Poppy pulled away, happy tears in both their eyes as Branch carefully pulled out and slipped a delicate golden ring with a blue gem in the center on her finger. Poppy laughed joyously and pulled him in for another kiss.

Peppy smiled from where he had watched the procession, chuckling at his daughter's excitement. And as he watched the two of them interact and the village celebrate, he knew things would be in good hands and there would be many years of joy to come.

My take on Star Wars: Spoilers Ahead

Going into this, my expectations were low. I heard it was low rated, had too many things going on, and was too safe. Well, since the previous movie kinda killed my investment in this trilogy anyway I wasn't to concerned. I figured it'd be a good spectacle and I wanted to be in on the conversation around it.

After sitting through a long span of trailers and an epilepsy warning the music kicks in. The opening scroll starts and I... I start losing it.

"The dead speak!" That's the first thing someone decided I needed to to experience. Palpatine is back and here to be the villain. I thought it'd be something revealed to the characters during the movie, a big dramatic moment. Instead, he's just back and who really needs to know why.

After that, the movie opens proper on a Kylo Ren tantrum. Just letting you know now, I'm not a fan of the Kyle. We get him tracking down Palps because apparently Kyle isn't enough of a villain to stand on his own in even the first minute of screentime. Inexplicably Snoke is revealed to be a clone / science experiment or something and ol' Palps has behind everything all along. It's so gloriously cheesy I can't help but laugh at every new revelation.

After that we finally get to our heroes. It's kinda fun to see our leads actually interacting like they're close to each other. A spy is mentioned and automatically I know it's gonna be Hux which amuses me once more, given I walked out of the last movie fairly certain that he'd be plotting Kyle's death if any justice was given to his character.

I have mixed feelings about Rey training with Leia. On one hand, I love me some Leia. On the other hand, I'm worried that was added just to give Rey credentials and stop the whiners who complain the main character of a Star Wars movie is too over powered... But it's fun when Rey's friends get back with the Plot and we get some trio interaction for once. Didn't like that the Kyle force Skype calls are still a thing but whatever, it's time to save the universe in 16 hours!

Speaking of Kyle, when he fixes his helmet I read the red sections as burning hot metal at first and thought he was actually burning his face to wear the thing for the drama. The fact he actually used like red hot glue or something is even more hilarious tho.

We get an adventure to find a knife which shows more plot threads, that Rey can Force heal, Finn has something to tell her, and the most ridiculous tug of war match is ended by a little lightning. It's pretty clear what Rey's newly retconned family situation is shaping up to be and someone is gonna be deathly wounded for her to heal. Meanwhile I guess Finn probably tells Rey he has the force in some deleted scene I guess because even when it comes back up it's never properly resolved...

We have some flirts with character death. It's kinda hilarious actually. They aren't even played out for drama as they're resolved fairly quickly. Meanwhile Rey's plot has pretty much just become her Skype calls to Kyle. They keep talking about why Rey didn't "take his hand." I know what they mean but I just keep cracking up because my brain just adds "in marriage" after that. Seriously, it works as Kyle whining about "why don't you liiiiike me?????" but eventually he drops the bomb on her parents identities a second time. Like seriously, why do they keep having Kyle do this? Is it his job? Like Vader revealed Luke's parentage, Kyle must update Rey on hers to live up to him? It's especially delightful how Rey's Palpatiness told, dancing on the base story given last movie as it retcons it away.

Oh yes, Rey's parents were nobodies. It's her grandpa who's the important one! XD

I can't make this up.

So like I know this *said* Rey was sold to protect her but like... Is the drinking money still canon as well? Cause that was never directly addressed. Was is a 2 for 1 deal? Protect daughter and have credits for booze before zombiebot Palpatine's cult kills you? I just... The keeping half of it and glossing over the rest is as funny as Kyle just randomly knowing the "wrong" past last movie.

Also I don't want to know why Palpatine had a son. I'm just saying he was a science experiment and moving on because I do Not like the alternative.

The heroes continue the quest. Rey keeps getting isolated from the group. Finn meets a new friend I half expected to be revealed as his sister because it's been that kind of movie. Like seriously, there was even a scene where Kyle strangled someone criticizing the Sith as some mystic cult to harken back to a New Hope. It would have been on brand.

Rey finds the plot mcguffin. Fights herself. Kyle shows up from literally nowhere. They fight so the special effects team can practice their water effects. Leia dies to say Kyle's name for some reason and this turns him good?

Well whatever it's just about climax time!

Rey has a brief detour where Luke Skywalker tells her that maybe hiding on a porg filled planet isn't the answer. We find Leia got Jedi training but put it aside seeing that it would lead to her son death. That's just... Really something in hindsight. But regardless, Rey's on her way to fight Palps with two lightsabers and the resistance at her back.

Now the real fun part! Palpatine! A Sith choir! Lightning! A ridiculous soulmate plot that I'm wondering was poached from a probably better written fic!

I love that it's supposed to be a shock that Palpatine wanted Rey alive. Like I was confused when he claimed the opposite. This is the villain who is evil for the lolz. He doesn't think anyone could truly bring him down, no matter the power he thinks himself on step ahead. And yes! Gloriously yes! Palpatine is seriously written from pieced together memes. He is nothing but "dew it" and "the dark side has many powers some would call unnatural" and "strike me down with your hatred!"

He's a zombie robot thing who's been behind everything. He has these super duper stardestroyers that all have death star lasers and lightning powers so strong he can... Temporarily disrupt all the electronics on a fleet of ships? Like it's not enough to actually kill anyone just pause the battle I guess? Oh but he has ALL the Sith in him and whoever kills him then gets possessed as well. And he can heal himself by sucking energy from Rey and Kyle's extra special soulmate bond. And he has a choir backing up his evil sith ways.

It's so over the top.

I can't take it seriously.

And I think that's my review.

It's hilarious, ridiculous, and I didn't take anything seriously. It's great for a laugh.

We get scenes like Chewie finally getting a medal. Anakin Skywalker's lightsaber being buried in the Tatooine sand. A resurrection. We get a bunch of joke theories thrown in a blender and given a budget. Critically speaking this is a mess. Speaking as me it was a cracktastic laughfest.

611-612: "A Small Dragon! Momonosuke Appears!" and "A Deadly Fight in a Blizzard! the Straw Hats vs. the Snow Woman!"

Caesar’s Minion: “Wait... Didn’t Vegapunk leave a man made Devil Fruit here.”

Felt the pace across this pair of episodes was a bit slower. Not a problem, though, because all the loose ends must be tied up. To to this, all plot threads must be lovingly prepared and set in place before the final, arc-ending knot is tied.

So far, Oda’s been great at that, so I’m not worried. Even if some threads are left loose, they’ll just be woven into a future plot because he planned it that way. At least Momonosuke, the last outstanding plot point, has finally wound his way onto the stage. All that remains are those elusive sea prism stone cuffs.

But there was one Huge Reveal here...

MAN MADE DEVIL FRUITS.

THEY ARE A THING.

WTF?

Your Dad Talked Through His Farts

I loved this weird little meeting between Luffy and Momonosuke.

Luffy worked on his past experience with talking dragons on Punk Hazard. First, he thought Momonosuke would be edible (nooooooooo!) Then, he figured the child’s voice was coming from someone who was stuck on the dragon’s body and maybe Momonosuke was talking with his farts.

“How rude!” Momonosuke seethed. These samurai are very proper people, Luffy. Gotta show some class around them, I guess.

Then little Momonosuke’s tummy rumbled and Luffy realised the dragon kid was starving. That was sad. Instant empathy for dragon child right there.

But Momonosuke was a samurai child. They did not get hungry after only ten days of fasting. (Only ten.) He asked who Luffy was and why he was there. When Luffy introduced himself, Momonosuke didn’t think he could be a pirate, as pirates were “all big, heavyweight men. More violent and strong-looking.”

I guess he is from an isolated island and has never seen Buggy the Clown and Galdino: the Dream Team.

Once they talked a bit more, Momonosuke said he wanted to get out of the garbage dump to help save the kids trapped in the labs. Why? He overheard Caesar saying something shocking.

On the kidnap ship bound for Punk Hazard, the other kids tried to make friends with shadowy Momonosuke. But he was a samurai type and didn’t appreciate their attempts to “give alms”. Crucially, this meant Momonosuke did not take any of the candy Caesar and Monet offered. (Nice one, Momonosuke.) In fact, he escaped and wandered the lab corridors, looking for an exit, because he had something he needed to do in his home land.

He happened to wander into the Secret Room (that everyone knows about, lol). Starving, he spotted a suspicious looking fruit in a glass cabinet. He took one look at it, smashed the glass and scoffed the fruit.

I knew it was a Devil Fruit. It was purple and had those spots on it. But I was not prepared for what Caesar’s minions would reveal. It was a Man Made Devi Fruit constructed by none other than Vegapunk himself! The minions heard it was a failure. Obviously, that wasn’t the case, as Momonosuke morphed into a dragon, freaked out and scarpered. Maybe like Caesar’s drug, the man made DFs only work on kids? Or Caesar was lying about the fruit being a failure (seems more likely, knowing Caesar).

But... this is huge.

Man made Devil Fruits. This could turn the whole power structure of the OPverse upside down. Rich pirates could demand and receive whatever power they want. Hell, the WG could have whatever power they wanted at their disposal.

I imagine a man made Devil Fruit could go pretty wrong too. Maybe some wicked side-effects.

Caesar has some world-shattering stuff in that lab. Now I get why he has such a great booze collection. He’s probably swimming in cash from Doflamingo, who is the one who’s managed to secure his services.

And now I know what you guys were talking about when you said to look at the texture of the fruits. Momonosuke’s man made fruit was SMOOTH. The true Devil Fruit, the one Smiley had eaten, was swirly and textured.

Luffy listened to Momonosuke’s fruit tale and was like, “You’re a Zoan type. Why don’t you just change back?”

Momonosuke didn’t know he could do that. (Maybe he can’t with the man made type?) Still, it wasn’t a priority. He had to get out to tell the other kids what he’d heard.

Caesar Makes People So Angry They Morph Into Popeye

As Momonosuke was skulking about in his new dragon form, he walked past an open door and heart Caesar and Monet talking.

“We have another group of obedient kids. The others are growing bigger without problem. But after all, this is an experiment to see the limitations of drug dosing. I don’t think they can take it that long. I assume they’ll all be dead in five years.”

“So we’ll need more kids?” Monet asked.

“Well, experiments come with failures. It’s a necessary sacrifice. Those stupid kids can help the world’s greatest scientist and do good for the world. Even if it’s a short life, they have to be happy with it.”

Holy. Moly.

Those poor kids. It’s lucky Chopper and Nami met them when they did. Hopefully, Chopper will help them get off the drugs and they’ll be well enough to go home. I wonder about the giant kids, though. Will they be giant all their lives? Probably.

Flash forward again and Momonosuke finished his tale. All he wanted to do was save the other kids. He thought Caesar was a doctor but he was a bad man who would let kids die. Momonosuke was on his way to save the kids but fell into the trash heap. It would be a disgrace to his honour as a warrior to not help them.

Luffy’s eyes were shaded. You know when that happens, he is maaaaaaaad.

He decided to climb out of the garbage dump and take Momonosuke with him.

Luckily, he didn’t have to climb anything. Momonosuke had a weird, triggering moment when Luffy said, “Stay with me...” which unleashed a Goku/Monkey style golden cloud power. (Everyone knows from DB and Monkey that you can walk on golden clouds. “Born from an egg on a mountain top. Funkiest Monkey that ever rocked. If you’ve never watched that show, hook yourself up with an episode. It’s hilarious.)

The luck, alas, did not last. Momonosuke came to his senses and they fell back down into the heap. At least Luffy is stretchy, right?

BREAKING NEWS: Caesar Sets Morality Bar Even Lower!

Meanwhile, Caesar had kicked back in his lab, waiting for the bottleneck gas chamber carnage to unfold. Little Mocha was tearing away from the other kids, who wanted to attack her for the candy.

Naturally, she was distraught. The people she had thought were so nice: Caesar and Monet, turned out to be the worst pieces of actual shit ever.

The flashback of Caesar from Mocha’s point of view actually made my jaw drop.

Every time I think, surely Caesar can’t sink any lower? No, it’s not possible.

In true scientist fashion, Caesar continues to push the boundaries of possibility.

Mocha was one of the first kids to be transported to Punk Hazard, including the blonde kid who’s name I forgot. (Sorry, blonde kid.)

Caesar came to meet them personally when they arrived. He ramped up the charm and faux-concern, of course. “I’m glad that you made it! Good to see you. My name is Caesar Clown. Call me Master. (First red flag right there, imo.) You two are a part of my first generation of patients. I’m looking forward to working with you.” Brief interruption for a hug. I cannot believe he even hugged those kids. He is such a SNAAKE. xD “I bet you were scared and worried when you heard you were sick out of the blue. But everything is okay now. You don’t have to worry about anything. I will treat you at any cost!” (Technically true but, kids, you will not like the treatment.)

Then he dropped the bomb that actually made me gasp.

“To tell you the truth, I lost my only son to this disease. I never want to see another child suffer from it. I don’t want to see another parent lost their child and have to grieve like me! Oh... Oh, I’m sorry. How embarrassing. I shouldn’t cry in front of you.”

I just...

I can’t even.

I mean, Caesar is a great villain and all, but damn, Oda, that is low.

The morality bar has not only been lowered. It is buckling under the sheer weight of Caesar’s evilness and will snap at any moment.

Why Has Zoro Not Yet Kicked Ass and Taken Names?

Monet pretty much said what I’m thinking right now. She wasn’t sure she could beat Zoro: a swordsman who uses Armament Haki trained by Dracule Mihawk himself. But for some reason, Zoro hasn’t made a move. All he’s done is parry and protect the other Strawhats.

Then again, it is a dangerous environment with a lot of friendly fire concerns.

The Biscuit Room has devolved into a freaking riot. There are crack-candy addicted kids charging about. Mocha, the one kid who is off the candy, is an ally, so they need to be extra careful around her. Sure, they’re not in the Biscuit Room any longer, but collateral from the fight could take them out. Sanji and his G5 army of fans have appeared. Nami, Robin and Chopper are still around and have been sealed in the room by Monet’s ice wall.

Plus, Monet is no slouch. She has some blade skills and a good logia fruit to boot.

Nami could be an asset in this fight. The Heat Egg attack has been the only one that’s really put the hurt on Monet so far. (Zoro, use that haki please.) If Nami could power up a strong heat attack, she could take out Monet.

I loved it when Monet was monologuing, debating with Chopper about her being responsible for the kids. Who planted that rebellious spirit in Mocha’s mind? Then Zoro mercilessly cut her short. He does not respect villain speeches. xD

Monet called out the Strawhats for acting like pirates. “Every day we treat the children nicely and allow them to live in great comfort. What you people are trying to do is take away these treasures from us foster parents. You people are like pirates.”

Laying aside the awful issue of gaslighting children, experimenting on them and claiming you are anything like a foster parent (that could be an entire post in itself), Zoro’s reply was ice cold and straight to the point.

“So you have no problem with it, right?”

There’s the awesome main-character grey morality again. I really do love that about One Piece. Zoro is like Luffy in that regard. The Strawhats are pirates. They will “kidnap” kids if they have to. Though this time, the Strawhats are on the right side of the moral divide. They’re counter-kidnapping the kids to return them to their parents.

But Zoro had better hurry up and make that move against Monet if he wants it to happen any time soon.

The G5′s Grand Entrance

And I totally was not expecting a comedy gold moment to interrupt a boss battle.

Just as things were getting serious, Zoro heard the sound of Sanji’s voice in the distance. Obviously, this turned Zoro’s head and he was greeted with the sight of Sanji leading a charge of G5 soldiers.

“WHY ARE YOU LEADING THEM?” Zoro yelled.

“Oh, there’s Zoro!” Sanji shouted. “Alright guys, stick out your lower lip and make fun of him.” xD

But Zoro knows Sanji inside out, so he said, “Oi, Nami and Robin went that way.”

Unfortunately, Monet, the feathered siren, proved a distraction. Monet’s flirtatiousness is a big part of her character (she flirted with Law and Luffy for fun). It must be pretty lonely being stuck in Punk Hazard with Caesar, so it made sense that she enjoyed the attention for half a second before getting back to business.

She burned through a couple of fodders with her Ice Form (freezing and biting a chunk out of one’s shoulder was savage).

Then Tashigi made *her* grand entrance.

And she can use haki.

That was a revelation.

Usopp, Foxfire and Brook (or should I say “Corpse-dono”) are still charging about, hunting for sea prism stone cuffs. Shinokuni gas is now following them, so they’ll be caught up in Caesar’s bottleneck gas chamber plan.

I’m guessing that’s where they’ll find the cuffs. If Tashigi and the G5 also end up there, Usopp could pilfer or borrow some cuffs from her. I’m just assuming captain-level Marines carry cuffs on them here. The fact Usopp willingly initiated a “let’s split up” plan and offered to work alone was pretty brave of him. Usopp definitely has got stronger and more confident in his abilities.

Must also say there was some really nice art in the Smoker vs Vergo short update in episode 611. Not an artist myself, so I don’t tend to notice or be very good at critiquing these sorts of things. But even I noticed the quality this time. Good job, whichever team worked on it. :)

There goes the morality bar again, slip slidin’ right into hell...

I like your idea of making smoke a weapon in your fic. People normally just think of fire's dangers, but smoke can suffocate, which is bad for firebenders who rely on their breath and maybe even airbenders too if the smoke is so thick it pollutes the air around them. Not so useful against Earth or Waterbenders who can just go underground/underwater. I've read a few good fics like yours that creatively use existing bending without resorting to weird new types, like (Rolls eyes) "Energy Bending".

Yeah, I actually may sound smug as hell by saying this, but when I added Azula scoffing at Admiral Chan when he was smoking all the way back in chapter 2, I did it because I thought smoke should be relevant in the Avatarverse, even though most the times it’s a complete non-factor. And of all things, smoke could and should hinder firebenders, who need proper air and breathing for their bending. Nothing should be able to thwart a firebender as badly as poor breathing air.

Firebenders seldom seem to release smoke when they use fire, if anything I can’t really remember it happening in either show. My personal theory is that part of their training should reside in minimizing smoke? But there’s, I suppose, the chance that their kind of combustion doesn’t quite release smoke. I don’t even know xD either way, it feels like smoke should be a more important factor when it comes to how it can affect firebenders. And that as well is one of the reasons why I’ve had Sokka using smoke bombs all along!

I don’t exactly take issue with energybending itself… I do take issue with it being introduced as a concept so late in the game, though. That there were lion turtles in the Library is far from enough to justify something as important as abilities to take away and return someone’s bending. I’d expect there to be rumors, legends about it, that maybe the Sun Warriors could tip-off Zuko and Aang about it... hell, perhaps Guru Pathik should have been the one to tell Aang about this at first. That we actually don’t even hear about the concept before, that it’s not established as a possibility until the very last episodes, is what really makes energybending feel off to me.

Also, the fact that shutting down somoene’s chi path doesn’t really have much of an effect on the person? A friend once told me she thought that if someone lost their bending, the consequences could be along the lines of those of a lobotomy… as dark and grim as it sounds, I agreed with her. Bending seems so unique and so intertwined with the characters who are capable of it that it amounts to stealing an integral part of someone’s identity. Yes, people without their bending were sad in LOK, but being sad hardly feels like enough when this implies effectively, physically, shutting down an entire chi path in someone’s body. If we were to compare chi-blocking as a concussion, taking someone’s bending really would amount to something on the levels of a lobotomy. Without real consequences, it feels like energybending is just a free, cheap way to do away with dangerous benders and put an end to big threats at low cost. It’s easy enough for a storyteller to do away with problems quickly through a resource like this one, and awkward enough for an audience who expects higher stakes.

So yeah, if energybending had been established sooner, and it hadn’t lacked serious consequences, I might have enjoyed it better than I did. I do appreciate the notion of Aang ending the war by doing something different from outright murdering Ozai, and I’ve never shied away from acknowledging that. But this doesn’t mean there were no better ways to handle energybending if it was going to be the final solution for defeating Ozai.

Either way, thanks for letting me know you like the usage of smoke as a genuine, dangerous weapon, especially for firebenders. It’s always been a small nitpicky thing I’ve had with the show, both that and that ice apparently isn’t all that cold (honestly, Katara kept freezing people alive and nobody ever seemed to be affected by the temperature shock? That’s why I had Zuko suffering so much about it when she attacked him in the South Pole xD). There are several factors that I guess they didn’t pay too much attention to, so I hoped to address them in my story one way or another. Instead of always going for bigger heights, and always resorting to cosmic-level powers, sometimes the more grounded stuff could offer realistic, valid possibilities that could make villains and bending styles feel more interesting than, say… a dark avatar? :’D

Rockman.EXE Episode 41 Review.

The cutest and funniest episode of Rockman.EXE I’ve seen so far!

“Good” is a relative term.

We open the episode with some shots of Densan city under a thunder storm. A lightning bolt hits a building causing a black out, and for some reason the lightning bolt also appears in the cyber world shocking a strange glass case with what looks like a cat inside. The cat escapes and somehow appears as a giant in the real world, covering the whole city with it’s shadow.

After the title card, we see a dog happily munching on a bone when something strange walks by causing it to drop the bone in shock.

The strange creature stops in front of Netto’s house where we see our blue bandana boy enjoying some curry his useless mom brought him along with some tea while Midorikawa talks in the news about the weird cat shadow seen last night.

Netto finishes his meal, but notices that the tea is missing.

What is wrong with this woman? In what universe is that normal?! (oh, right, anime, and maybe Charlie Brown)

Netto is understandibly confused about seeing Rush in the real world, he even touches him to see if he is a hologram.

He is not. I doubt Rush has hair, so I guess his head must feel pretty smooth.

Right after this, Netto receives a phone call from Meiru-chan telling him that she can’t find Rush. Netto tells her that Rush is drinking tea at his house, they are both confused about this so they think their Navis might know what is going on.

Netto runs to his room to talk to Rockman, but...

I got to be honest, the first time I saw this I was actually expecting to see Rockman on Netto’s bed or something, but that already happened in the manga, and it was freaking hilarious! XD

Also, Netto’s mom was called out for being so calm in weird situations.

Anyway, instead, Netto and Meiru get this.

Both Rock and Roll have become cat navis. Their confused netops ask them why they look like that, but nya-ther of them know the cause.

According to Japan, cats say “Nya” instead of “Meow”. The more you know.

Inmediately after, Netto receives calls from Dekao, Yaito and Tohru at the same time, their Navis have also been turned into cats.

Iceman is playing with Gutsman tail during this scene. X3

Not only our heroes, but according to Midorikawa, the whole net has been affected, Navis and viruses everywhere have turn into cats for some unknowen reason.

Like we need a reminder that CGI is inmune to these kinds of things. But if that’s the case, then how come she was under the control of a virus in episode 27?

Netto and friends are wondering whats going on, luckily for them, Netto’s dad appears out of nowhere to give them the answer.

“Where the hell have you been?!”

“Doing computer stuff in the Bahamas, nothing out of the ordinary”

Seriously, nobody asks about the tan! O-O

Netto’s new tanned dad tells them that the cause of everything is a new computer virus that escaped a research lab last night. The virus is called the “Neko Virus”, which means “Cat virus”, and it has the ability to transform Navis and other viruses into cats.

Netto asks about Rush appearing in the real world as well, but amazingly enough, his dad has no clue and doesn’t think it’s related to the Neko virus. After taking another look at his adorable new cat navi, Netto asks if there is a way to change them back.

At least somebody finds her useful.

We cut to the Net Agents ready to jump into action.

But somehow they didn’t realize that their Navis were also affected by the Neko virus. The worst part is that Sharkman is still a fish.

Not the kind of catfish you’d expect to see in the internet-nya? :3

After a pointless scene of Netto’s useless mom serving them lunch, and Rush trying to seem charming, we see the Navis thinking in the cyberworld until something suddenly happens to Iceman.

Yuichiro tells them that if they don’t get a vaccine soon, the Navis will permanently become cats and that the speed of the transformation depends on the size of the Navi. The vaccine might not be ready on time, so their only hope is to find and capture the Neko Virus.

In the next scene we see the five Navis walking around an empty Internet City trying to find the virus.

That’s a brilliant plan, Rockman. Also, wasn’t Iceman’s body transformed in the last scene? And where is his tail? Just how consistent is the animation for this episode?

They even look for the Neko virus at a ball shop, yes, a “Ball” shop, just so we can get this scene where one of the balls fall out forcing the Navis, except for Iceman, to fight their feline instincs of playing with it.

I’m all for the Rockman butt shots, but do we have to see Gutsman’s butt too? And there is a coloring mistake in the fourth panel which answers my question of the animation quality for this episode.

The Navis keep searching knowing that they can now relate to the Neko virus, they deduced that the virus is taking a nap, since cats love to take naps, and the best place for that is the park.

They arrive at Internet city’s park where they find the Neko virus sleeping and they try to ambush it, but the virus wakes up and scratches Gutsman out of its way.

Gutsman gets angry and tries to attack the Neko virus, but ends up getting his claws stuck.

Now, lets forget for a moment that Battle chips are not allowed in Internet City and just enjoy this next scene.

Rockman gives chase to the Neko virus, Netto sends him a Mini Bomb, but since the bomb is round you can guess where this is going.

“Iceman got to play with a ball, it was my turn!”

Netto then sends a Sword, but for some reason it won’t appear, so Rockman tries to attack the Neko virus with his claws, but he misses and gets scratched instead.

Neko virus uses fury swipes, its a critical hit.

The Neko virus dissapears after this, and a huge tremor happens in the real world where Netto and the others discover that the virus has materialized in Akihara.

CATZILLA!!!

After commercials, Netto and the others are out on the street trying to figure out what the heck is going on.

There are two things wrong with this. One, Netto already checked earlier that Rush isn’t a hologram, and two, if Rush isn’t affected by the Neko virus because he is a dog, then why are other animal type viruses and Navis affected by it? Sounds like the Neko virus is racist against dogs.

As they keep staring at Nekozilla, Tohru discovers that Iceman has fully become a cat.

At least Icecat hasn’t lost his freezing powers- nya :3

Netto fears that Rockman will have the same fate and runs to capture the Neko virus by himself.

Sea lion? I wouldn’t be mad, I would be confused.

The Neko virus gives chase to Netto.

At least one of his parents worries about him.

Netto lures the Neko virus into a street between two large buildings and this happens.

.....

The giant Neko virus struggling causes debris to fall on Netto, but Rush saves him in the last second. But before a second block of concrete from the building falls on them, Yuichiro figured out why the Neko virus grew so big and creates a lightning bolt with his computer to hit Rush. For real.

“By the power of science! I summon a thunder storm!”

This is where the episode passes from cute and funny to ridiculous.

Acording to Yuhichiro the lightning bolt at the begining of the episode was what caused the Neko Virus to become a giant in the real world. Now, with his super scientific power and a really awesome computer, he creates a lightning bolt to make Rush become a giant as well, saving Netto from the falling debris.

Rush becomes a giant and fights the Neko virus, but I’m not gonna waste time taking sceen shots because the “battle” was also a waste of time, it’s like watching Snoopy trying to be epic and failing.

Anyway, the Neko virus starts beating the crap out of Rush until he summons a hole underneath it.

Long live the king-nya :3

The hole sends the Neko virus back to cyberworld where Rockman and the others can finally catch him.

Unfortunately they’ve gone too deep into the transformation to remember what they were suppoused to do.

After Gutsman and Glyde’s bodies change, which disproves what Dr. Hikari said about the transformation depending on the size of the Navi, the Neko virus starts to walk away.

Netto checks his chips to see what he can do to prevent the Neko virus from escaping again and has an idea.

Netto uses the Ratton virus chip to make Rockman and the others happily chase it around. Also note that Gutsman and Glyde’s bodies aren’t different, once again the art department got lazy.

The Ratton virus dissapears near the Neko virus and Netto fools the Navis into attacking it.

Looks like Rockman snaps out of it, because inmediately after, Netto activates the Elec Brother Style and we get this Nya style change sequence. :3

Why can’t they put this amount of effort in the other scenes? I guess that’s too much to ask because the Neko virus tries to get away from the normal looking Rockman, but Elec Brother Rockman stops it by using one of Roll-nya’s candy hearts.

Rockman uses his electrical attack and defeats the Neko virus, and gets the cat girl. Nya! :3

Thats a nice detail how the electric attack looks like a cat.

And the episode ends with Rockman narrating everything that happend afterwards.

Tell me about it, Rock.

What do I think?

This was a fun episode to watch, and even if you want to pretend that this isn’t canon, it is because Rush can now travel between the cyberworld and the real world as he pleases, giving me another reason to hate this character.

As you may already know from my review of episode 24, I talked about why I dislike Rush. At first he is just a pet for Roll that appeared once in a while to help the Navis with something by using his holes, in this episode the writers decided to give him a “personality”, but all they did was make him a japanese Snoopy, and giving him the ability to travel between worlds was pushing it too far. Many fans, including myself, would love to see Rockman and Netto in the same space together, because we know that since Netto is a human and Rockman is a computer program that can only exist in the cyberworld it isn’t possible, so having seen an opportunity for this to happen and giving it to a minor character feels like the anime was trolling us. >:C

Japan seems to have a thing for cat like characters or just cat girls in their animes, so there was bound to be an episode featuring that in any way that they could posibly think of.

In case you were wondering, no, there was no scene showing Blues as a cat, even though there is no way Enzan could prevent that from happening, he is just too cool to appear in a funny episode.

First YJ Friday appreciation

I will talk here of the episode 1 to 3. If you didn’t see them yet, do not read the text following as it’s full of heavy spoilers but have my theories and comments too :)

Princes all

- the big bald bad guy with Ana is the same one from S1 who works with Count Vertigo to kill Perdita.

- So here the collar 2.0 who can control people in addition of shoking them... Do you think they have a bomb in them like in Suicide Squad?

- The girl scream voice when Ana dies :( But BL that wasn’t your fault :( Don’t bet yourself up. The Light are the true responsible ones for her death!

- The music from the generic looks like a scary movie one!

- So Gamma Squad are the 8 heros from the ad picture? And who is on Alpha and Beta Squads?

- I love M’gann new look! After 50 years, she finally accepted herself as a white Martian <3 That’s a character development!

- Steel: new hero in the superfamily?

- From Virgil’s vince, we can figure he knows already that BL is about to quit the JL :/ He shoud have tell him before and off screen.

- Bart, I missed your comments and that smile of yours! <3

- As announced Kaldur is Aquaman, the Leader of the JL by democratic vote and his coach is Wonder Woman. Such a development! And I love the symbol of Atlantis and Amazon heros working together! (Do you remember Flashpoint where they’re at war?) Arthur is now king of Atlantis full time (according to Greg), with his wife and his child.

- Batman, don’t talk about the mission above the symbol when you dress like a bat as a symbol of fear... --’ But Olly has a little moment of silent before saying “So do I.” Hesitation?

- Batman Incorp! With Katana, PlasticMan, Batwoman and Hardware (is he Luke Thomas or someone else?)

- Tim holding Cassie’s hand, like he wants to say he wants to stay, is so cute (and so short!) I think Batman and GA ordered their mentees to not say anything to their teammates :(

- So Barbara/Batgirl is now Oracle.

- Tara Markov/Terra was abducted the 28th July in Team year 8

- Bialya has invaded Qurac, teasing form S1.

- Artemis has move to Star City to leave with Will (clone Roy) and her niece Lian (maybe Jade as well?) I think Artemis and Will are roommates. “Who are you to recruit this time?” says Will. So it’s not the first time Dick asks for help on a mission one of these two. So the second one has to babysitt Lian (assuming Jade could work for herself)

- Halo works in Markovian palace and looks like a Quraci refugiee. Maybe she was stealing that silver plate to make some money? But she ends to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

- A speester assassin is really frightening! And “LIMBO TIME”! And he looks like he was betrayed when he get shocked.

- Did you notice the twins both cry when they see their parents but not their uncle? And their parents holding hands in death TT.TT

- M’gann and SB leaves with Wolf in Happy Harbo, the island where Mount Justice was.

- And Trump... I mean Gordon is here again. Can the Team can find out quickly he works for the Light so he can receive a deserved punch please? I hate that character but I love the work of the actor!

- So the twin brothers are only 17? Why not 20 with a majority at 21?

- I fear so much for Anissa and Jenifer with that children trafficking... And Anissa looks to young to be Traci’s girlfriend :( (but we don’t know their age yet!)

- Lynn has a GL for brother and BL as ex-husband. Do not mess with her of her family!

- BL has a power block due to his guilt...

- YJ! How dare you! Bruce Lee’s picture is so cute and heartbreaking in the same time! TT.TT

------------------------------ Royal We

- So now Gar has is own TV show just like he wanted in S2. Is he still leaving with SB and M’gann? Is that thanks to him they could buy this huge house?

- Catherine Cobert, the JL liason, is back! Wait, is Hardware blind? Donna Troy/Troia and Garth/Tempest are now ambassadors in UN for Atlantis and Themyscira! :o And Donna is another queen of sass! Rhelasia is finally reunited since S1 and I’m sure it’s a rogue nation like Bialya and works for/with the Light too. So does Zviad Baazovi, ambassador of Markovia, or for the person who ordered the murder of the royal couple.

- 2 days after this murder, Gregor’s pre-coronation! Some traught shippers here? They fake it but still :) And Artemis is so beautiful in this dress.

- So no one except Dick knows Barbara is now Orale?

- “Do you want to hold my hand” Is there a dirty joke or it’s just me?

- poor mother box! :(

- Plasmus looks like Ana, instead we see his brain instead of his heart. Otto? And how Count Vertigo manages to get out of jail?

- Halo :’( Wait! Did they experiment of those kids? Because there was just Halo who get caught no one else :/ And Halo talks to Sphere? or at least understands what she says.

- And SB looses his shit shirt. Again.

- It’s a tiny beetle? Wait, can Blue do the same thing? Is it from Blue? Was there where Dick got the inspiration? Is that a hint for the flawless shippers? (That’s the name of this ship right?)

- Wait! Was she the justice liaison in the pod? She has a mole in the same place! :o

- Brion is shirtless too! Like his mentor! ^^ (What? they train together in the trailer.) Believe Helga! She knows what she is doing! She seems to have played all of you :)

- “One of the girls” So they did experiment on all of those dead girl :( So the attack was run by Vertigo? Does he want to annexe Markovia? Or to have a political/royal power to take back his own kingdom? “the Superboy and his escaped companion”. Does he think Lightning is an escaped metaslave?

- “My child”? I don’t know if it’s creepy or if it implies that Helga is on the prince’s side.

- Now Sphere for the generic. Are these pictures clues for the future episodes? Knowing Greg and Brandon, I think it is!

------------------------------ Eminent threat

- Star Girl! So Gar is also a teen actor in Space Trek 3036. Does he start his career thanks to his mission in the last comic since he met an actress who worked with his mom on Hello Megan! ? He’s dating Perdita (who sould be around 17 yo). They met at Wally’s funeral (I read few fanfic where Perdita comes to his funeral and they were right!) I think he’s still a hero since we saw him in costume in the trailer and the picture with the whole team (well the ones who was revealed to be in this season).

- “Kill” Halo, sweetie, are you okay? What do you mean? That the place where you were killed?

- Dick who was tricked by his bug xD And Barb’s comment xD

- Helga used to work for Bedlam but now she’s on the prince’s side! :D So Vertigo does want to make a coup d’Etat to Vlatava?

- Maneuver 7!

- Bedlam = Delamb. It was under our nose from the beginning!

- “Cost you more-” than what? career? life? than you think? Helga has no time for your consideration, Dick :( She said “my child” Could she be the prince true mother? They’re both brown hair and Brion and Gregor aren’t homozygote twins.

- The children was boom tube away to be sold off planet or to other countries :( Sounds like the Runaways in the episode in Bialya right?

- Perdita’s talking with Gregor!

- Helga knows exactly was Brion’s powers are in seconds. Was she also there when they activated Tara’s ones?

- Vertigo’s minions have a lot of New Genesis technology. Is it thanks to the deal between Salvage and Darkseid?

- So Dr Ekcs is also a meta.

- Does Delamb wants to take this occasion to murder Gregor too? And this prince is clever! :)

- BL has recovered his powers thanks to another child’s death. The irony. It’s me or Sphere shows Halo how to heal?

- Gregor is indeed clever and sees right into Delamb’s game! I like him :) I’m even more sure the markovian ambassador works for the Light and he’s going to manipulate Gregor instead of Delamb. His decision for Brion was the only way to protect him from jail and maybe he hopes he will find their sister like Brion does.

- And now BL knows the metaslaves are controlled! “Not again. Again” I love this scene! ^^ And the farmer takes Otto’s victory scream for a threat to the heroes :( I knew Otto was going to die since his powers is too close to Brion’s ones.

- The picture from the generic of the third episode could be the Kent’s farm? (Or SB’s house, I’m not sure) However i’m sure this is the place we saw in the trailer (The one where Brion ends naked).

One week to wait now! And I thought 3 episodes per week were going to be enough ><
