Relationship is Platonic! No ship tags!
Again thank you @amitlee for the ideas you left in my inbox.
Enjoy!
Phil walked into the living room of his family home. It’s been a few weeks since he chased Wilbur down, he was looking around for his chaotic son, only seeing Techno reading a book on the couch.
“Where is everyone mate?” Phil asked, the piglin looking up from his book.
“Tommy is hanging out with Tubbo. And Wilbur is trying to make sure they don’t die.” Techno said with a small smirk.
“Ah, okay then…” Phil smiled, leaving his friend to read in peace.
Phil entered his room with a groan, shutting the door behind him. He was thinking about Wilbur tickling him a few weeks ago, not like he enjoyed it…
Right?…
The more he thought about it, the more red and flustered he was getting. Fucking hell his lee mood was showing again.
Philza thought about two things, pretending this thing isn’t happening and try to ingore it.
Or try and get Techno to help out, I mean it isn’t the first time he has tickled him before.
Phil walked out, he stood in front of the piglin.
“Hey Techno?” Phil chuckled.
“Yeah?” Techno replied, his eyes not darting from the book,
Until Phil snatched it out of his hands.
“Heh?!” Techno said, Phil was mid way in the air book in hand.
“You can’t read all the time, mate.” Phil smirked, before dropping the book onto the floor, sticking his tounge out, and took off, giggling like a little kid.
Techno blinked, before rolling his eyes with a small smile, doing his deadpan head turn, and chasing after the avian in a flash, before turning back and going up the stairs of the home.
Philza was running around the house trying to find a way to hide somewhere, stamina running out quickly as he was crouching a bit in the doorframe of his room.
“PHILZA!”
“ACK!” Phil yelped, with a grab around the waist followed by a pink and green blurred leap through the air. Techno had Philza pinned down on the bed, the piglin sitting on the avians legs.
“T-Techno…we can have a mahahature tahalk about this.” Phil started giggling from anticipation as Techno began tracing lightly across his sides.
“Yeah I’m sure we can.” Techno smirked.
The room was silent, Phil and Techno staring at each other.
“Ugh…just do it…” Phil mumbled.
“With pleasure.” Techno showed his tusks with a smirk, as he scribbled lightly across Phil’s sides.
“Eep!” Phil squeaked, squirming a bit.
“I keep on forgetting how sensitive you are here.” Techno said sarcastically, going a bit faster.
“Tehech! Nohoho!” Phil chuckled, small squeaks peppering in.
Techno smiled, loving to hear his friend giggle, moving up to Phil’s neck. Phil squeaked, scrunching his shoulders up.
“Aw, breaking so soon?” Techno teased, poking and scribbling across the skin.
“Nohoho I’m hoholding up!” Phil giggled, looking at Techno through scrunched eyes and a wide smile.
“Uh huh, yeah sure.” Techno smirked, going lightly behind Phil’s ears which the feathers twitched behind them.
“Tehehechno! Thahahahat Tihihickles!” Phil squeaked, trying to bite his lip to muffle his light bubbly giggles.
“Oh I’m aware buddy.” Techno smiled.
Techno slowly traced Phil’s neck again, relishing in the small giggles and squeaks he got, pretty contagious as Techno couldn’t help to laugh with him.
“Tehehechno plehehease!” Phil snickered as Techno scribbled across Phil’s sides, pinching his ribs a few times.
“And your laughter is so cute! Why should I stop?” Techno cooed.
Phil’s laughter increased, his blush getting a darker shade of pink. “Shuhuhut up Tehechno!”
“Shut up? Oh your so in for it now!”
Techno slipped his hand under Phil’s kimono and thin shirt, lightly tracing and clawing his stomach.
Phil squeaked, squirming around and curling up into a ball like a roly poly. Techno smirked, contuing to tickle the avian with his one hand being trapped, okay he could get it out, but Techno chose not too.
“Tehech! Get your hand out!” Phil was on his stomach, giggling, as Techno had his one hand under Phil’s stomach, sitting uptop of Phil’s back.
“Why? Are you ticklish here? Bit sensitive Phil?” Techno continued, watching the giggling and squeaks he got in response.
“Shuhuhut up! Plehehease! It-NAHAT THEREHEHE!!!”
Techno flinched a bit at Phil’s scream, reliazing his inner turmoil. He flipped Phil over onto his back, Phil getting his left over giggling out.
“You good?” Techno asked, Phil giving a small nod.
Techno slowly began tracing Phil’s stomach again, Phil squeaking and holding his breath back.
Techno really forgot about how much he loved doing this. He didn’t admit it but he had a small soft spot for Phil, he remembered cheering up Phil when the avian came back home after a mob attack, so it wasn’t the first time he’s tickled him.
And sure as hell Techno was enjoying it probably as much as Philza was.
“Tehechno! It’s thihihickly!” Phil squeaked, as the piglin continued tracing.
“Well duh! That’s the point! And your just a sensitive little thing are you~” Techno cooed.
Phil was trying to deny it, but a tingling sensation on his stomach made him scream, tipping his head back onto the pillow as he laughed.
Techno smiled with a low chuckle, blowing another raspberry into Phil’s belly, watching the avian squirm, slowly tracing a finger into Phil’s naval.
“AHAHA! TEHEHECH! NOHOHOHO!!!” Phil laughed, squeaking.
“Hm?” Techno hummed, pressing circles into Phil’s stomach with this thumbs and tracing his sides lightly.
“Itit reheheally tickles!” Phil hiccuped, Techno luckily slowing down once more, leaving the avian as a giggly pile of goo on the bed.
“Yohohou are ruthless.” Phil glared with a playful smile.
“Yeah, it’s for content purposes and plus we’re friends Phil.” Techno smirked, cracking his knuckles before placing this hands near Phil’s sides again with a grin. “And I’m about to be even more ruthless now.”
With that he spidered across Phil’s ribs, the blonde squealing and falling into loud laughter immediately.
“TEHEHECH! AHAHAHA!!” Phil shook his head violently.
“What’s up?” Techno teased, going down to his lower and back up to his upper ribs.
Phil was lost in a sea of flustered giggles to even say anything. Techno smirked, continuing to tickle the avian’s ribs.
“One, Two, Three.”
“Arehehe yohohou cohohounting?”
“Yep! Four, Five.”
“Whihihiy?!”
“I’m trying to see how many ribs you have! Which number was I on?”
“Fhihihive…“
“Damn, guess I lost count, better start again.” Techno tutted, going back down to his lower ribs.
“Tehehechno! Dohohont!” Phil argued, leaning back into the bed.
Once again, Techno began tickling Phil’s ribs, sending the avian into a feat of high pitch giggles.
“TEHEHEHECHNO!!!” Phil cried out, letting out an embarssed snort.
Techno stopped, allowing Phil to breathe, the avian looking up at him with a smile, followed by a few snorts.
“You good to continue?” Techno asked, Phil nodding.
Techno squeezed Phil’s thigh, Phil kicking out his leg with a squeak, followed by high pitch laughter.
“Aw! Well this never changed!” Techno smirked, going back to his ribs.
“DAHAHAMN IT TEHEHECH!!!” Phil tried covering his already red face.
“Dish it out, but can’t take it?” Techno smiled.
“SHUHUHUT UP!” Phil screamed, resting his head on Techno’s chest, trying to cover his flustered self, a sharp peep left his mouth. “Stahahap!”
“Stop what? Making you chirp? That’s on you buddy.” Techno lightly traced the back of Phil’s neck with his one hand, scribbling his ribs on the other.
“Tehehehech! Itit thihihickles!” Phil rested his head onto the piglin’s chest, giggling.
“Oh I’m aware.”
Phil shrieked his wings flapping wildly as Techno spidered across his ribs, pinching his hips a few times.
“Ah! AHAHA! TECH!” Phil squealed, one of his wings brushing against Techno’s neck.
“Hehey!”
“Oh god, Techno! That was a reflex! I didn’t mean that!” Phil retorted, nervously giggling.
“It’s fine Phil.” Techno rolled his eyes with a smirk. “It’ll be okay after I do…THIS!”
Techno tackled Phil down. Phil lying on his stomach as Techno scribbled across the base and joints of his wings.
“TEHEHEHECH EHEHEHEHAHAHA!!!” Phil screamed, hiccups peppering in between his laughter.
Techno cooed, inhaling and blowing a raspberry right into Phil’s spine, the avian’s wings went limp as he cackled.
“OKAY OHOHOHKAY! IM SOHORRY! ITIT THIHIHICKLES TEHEHEHECH!!!”
Techno slowed down, allowing Philza to curl up, resting his head on Techno’s chest, Techno doing light traces onto his back, even lightly tickling Philza’s neck, ears and sides.
Phil felt limp, his eyes drooping. He relaxed and melted into the gentle tickling, his wings pressed around his body as he giggled.
“Thihihickly! Ehehehe! Hahahaha!” Phil giggled, trying to slap Techno’s hands away, letting out a chirp followed by trill’s.
Phil fell asleep resting his head on Techno’s chest, Techno stroking a hand through the avians hair, lightly tracing his back.
“You probably enjoyed that just as much as I did.” Techno thought as he fell asleep as well.

Cheer Up, Ranboo!
Summary: Ranboo’s a bit down after losing MCC, again. Sapnap cheers him up!
we’re gonna pretend that sapnap is staying with ranboo in this one
i rlly should not write mcc tickle fics💀
Ler!Sapnap, Lee!Ranboo
warnings: tickling, like one swear word
who requested this? i forgot LMAO
Sapnap was currently sitting next to Ranboo on the couch, after all of MCC Pride was finished.
They didn’t win, but they sure as hell did amazing. They had a lot of laughs, some panic moments, they all helped eachother out, they made a pretty good team!
Which is why Sapnap was unsure of why Ranboo was so upset and stressed out over not winning. But his confusion to why Ranboo is feeling,, well, his feelings, did not matter. What matters is helping him be cheer up.
“Ranboo, I promise, you did amazing. We all did, but especially you!” Sapnap reassured the teen beside him. A tear fell from Ranboo’s eye, and Sapnap wiped it away with his thumb.
“I just-“ Ranboo paused to take a few breaths before he continued. “I just want to actually win! I want my fans and my friends to be proud of me!” The sentence broke Sapnap’s heart. Ranboo’s fanbase and his friends were so so proud of him, they expressed it so much.
“Oh, Ranboo. Your fans are extremely proud of you! They express it all of the time! For you to be on twitter a lot im suprised you don’t know that,” the last comment got a slight smile out of Ranboo.
“Don’t even get me started on your friends! We are literally so proud of you, you’ve been doing so amazing. Not even just with MCC, in all of your content! In the words of your bestfriend TommyInnit, you are so very pogchamp and epic, Ranboo. And in the words of your other bestfriend Tubbo Underscore, you are the most epic person ever, Bossman!” ((a/n: i made those quotes up))
The thought of Tommy and Tubbo, and Sapnap mocking their british accents, made Ranboo smile like a little kid. He turned his head away so Sapnap wouldn’t see.
“Cheer up, Ranboo! Let me see your smile!” Sapnap grinned as he took his hand up to Ranboo’s face and turned him to face him. Sapnap then squished Ranboo’s face with his hand, making Ranboo giggle and push him away. “Sahapnap!”
Sapnap only continued doing it, and Ranboo was already forgetting his stress.
“Cuhut it ohout!” If he was being honest, Ranboo didn’t even know why he was laughing. But his laughter was cut off with a squeal and there was suddenly a hand clawing into his stomach.
“Ohoh shihit- SAHAPNAHAHAP!” Ranboo fell backwards on the couchand Sapnap only followed, setting himsef on Ranboo’s thighs.
“Ah, so you are ticklish. Thought so!” Sapnap grinned evily as he scribbled his fingers all over Ranboo’s stomach.
“SOHOHOMEWHEHERE EHELSE AND GEHENTLEHER! PLEHEASE!” Ranboo cackled as Sapnap quickly switched to slowly dragging his fingers up and down his sides, which produced honeysweet giggles from Ranboo.
“You’ve gone all red, Ranboo,” Sapnap’s playful grin turned more fond at the teen below him. It was an adorable sight, truly. The bright red blush on his face growing to his ears and down his neck, his wide smile, and his sweet giggles that could probably stop a war if Sapnap was being completely honest. Not to mention he wasn’t even fighting against the tickles. How endearing could one eighteen year old be?
“Sahahahapnahahap!” Ranboo whined at Sapnap’s tease and he squeezed his eyes shut. Sapnap brought up his hands to lightly scratch behind his ears, and he cooed at how Ranboo flinched and scrunched up his shoulders.
“Aww, ticklish ears, Ranboo? How cute,” Sapnap teased the boy below him, noticing that the more he teased the more he giggled.
“Nohohot cuhuhute!” Ranboo squealed as Sapnap brought his fingers down to his neck.
“I think everyone in the universe would disagree with you on that one, Ran,” Sapnap then slowed his fingers back to light traces on his ears, and Ranboo melted into the couch. Sapnap chuckled. “Yohou good? You’ve practically melted!”
“Yeheheah..” Ranboo then weakly grabbed at Sapnap’s wrists, and Sapnap stopped and got off of Ranboo.
“You alright there?” Sapnap said as Ranboo sat up, then immediately crashed into Sapnap’s arms. “Mmmhm.. tired..”
“Get some sleep, Ranboo. You deserve it.” And that was the last thing Ranboo heard before drifting to sleep.
Of course, Sapnap got a few pictures to send to Tommy, Tubbo, and Aimsey. Tommy would forever deny that he immediately went to Ranboo’s house to join the cuddle party, Tubbo and Aimsey later following.

Helloo :]
Could I request a c!Tommy x gn reader?
Reader is a ghost just like ghostbur and follows Tommy around but doesn’t speak?
Silence
Tommy x gn!reader (platonic)
summary: basically Tommy unexpectedly becomes friends with a ghost
warnings: one curse word and one instance of caps
authors note: probably a little ooc but 🏃‍♂️💨 also I hope you like it anon! I enjoyed writing this one :D
When Tommy first met you he almost seemed annoyed by you.
His first encounter with you he was taking a walk by himself, his usual energy low and oddly quiet as he holds his arms to hug himself closer. He wanted to be alone that day. A little break for himself is all that could fill his mind, to get away from all the trouble around him. He sighs as each step he takes crunches leaves below him.
That's when you came along. You never really interacted with anyone mostly staying by yourself but you saw Tommy and you couldn't help but float towards him. Something about his expression and demeanor also made you upset and you didn't want that.
He didn't notice you at first, he kicked the leaves and dirt below him in a grumble of curses before feeling a cool presence behind him. He turned around to the familiar feeling fully knowing it couldn't possibly be Ghostbur or hell– even Glatt.
When he turned he jumped a little bit at your presence and you backed up raising your hands up a little closer to your face.
"Holy shit!" He looks at you confused. "Who are you?"
You point at yourself not really knowing what to do. Embarrassed, you look away and Tommy sighs.
"whatever." He mumbles, continuing to walk away with his arms hanging by his sides. Though unexpectedly you continue to follow him which he takes notice of.
Tommy doesn't say anything fully expecting you to wander off at some point or even ask him something but you don't. Which almost makes him upset.
He turns to face a little scrunched up as he swipes at your presence. "I hoped you noticed I wanted to be alone."
You pull into yourself and look a little upset but you back away which prompts Tommy to continue walking forward. That interaction didn't make him feel good one bit.
-
The second time Tommy met up with you he was willingly looking for you.
He's never seen you on the smp before and the fact that you were a ghost interested him. Maybe he was just missing Ghostbur or wanted to see someone else's face other than Tubbo, Ranboo, or even Wilbur.
He walked through the same area this time more alert and a little more energetic and less irritable and kept looking for you.
"HEY GHOST, ARE YOU STILL HERE?" He yells out, managing to scare off some of the animals around him. Tommy grumbles as if he just lost and slumps over a little bit until he feels that same cold presence near him.
He immediately turns to see you again. He sighs out of relief before straightening himself up.
"Look I'm not here to apologise–" You quirk your head a little bit "but look I've never seen you before and I just wanted to have a broody walk yesterday and–" He inhaled before collecting himself and holding out his hand.
"I'm Tommy," You stay staring at him before shaking his hand smiling at the way he cringes at the cold contact.
"Do you have a name?" You frown but nod your head yes. "Do you live around here?" You nod your head yes again. He thinks for a minute before something becomes seemingly apparent to him.
"You don't talk much do you." You shake your head no this time. "Alright that's fine." Tommy is silent. "Wait wait wait I have an idea!" Tommy searches for what seems like ages in his disorganized inventory before pulling out a slightly broken bit of paper and a pen.
You carefully take the items from him before sitting yourself criss-cross style on the grass and attempting to write on the paper he gave you. Looking at it you before you hand it to him as he grins at it.
It's messily written (it was the best you could do with writing on your legs) but just eligible enough so he could read it.
"[y/n]? Is that your name?" you nod your head at him before standing up to float again. "Alright then."
He starts walking forward leaving you behind– before he turns his head around. "Are you coming with me or what?" He says it in a playful manner so you start floating behind him barely having a clue of where you were going.
-
Through some walking and chatting from Tommy he takes you to the main smp to gather some items from his home.
You both are walking along the prime path before Tommy stops and looks at you.
"Oh don't look at these guys, they're complete losers," You look at him confusedly before seeing two figures coming from the other side of the path.
They spot Tommy and one of them exaggeratedly waves their arm at him making Tommy roll his eyes, but he doesn't even seem that upset or even annoyed.
"Hey Tommy!" The boy with goat horns exclaims.
"Hi Tubbo," he looks next to him and sighs. "Hi Ranboo." He drags out his name before the two take notice of you. You move behind Tommy a little bit to attempt to hide yourself.
"Who's that?" Ranboo asks, leaning over a little bit to look at you. Tommy just laughs and smiles.
"They're actually my new friend [y/n]," Tubbo looks at Tommy before grinning at him.
"Ah– nice to meet you [y/n]." You show yourself a little bit more to them and smile at Tubbo waving your hand at him just a little bit.
"Well boys me and [y/n] have some stuff to do." Tommy starts moving forward leaving you waving goodbye to Tubbo and Ranboo.
"Bye Tommy and uh, [y/n]!" Ranboo raises his voice a little bit for you guys to hear.
You catch up to Tommy who's standing by waiting for you. “[y/n] do you like disks?” you nod your head at him which makes him beam. “Oh sit over there I have a jukebox–” he points to a bench which you float over to and plop yourself on.
Tommy shuffles through an ender chest taking out a round green disk and runs over to where you were sitting. He puts the disk into the jukebox and throws himself into the bench. He looks at you as the music starts playing with a large smile and so obviously, you smile back at him.
"Hey, do you wanna hear a story about this disc?" You nod your head, already sitting forward, ready to listen to whatever he says.
"Oh you're so not gonna believe this!"

Little Hope
(Platonic SBI Famliy x child reader)
Tumblr media
Request 6: An imagine or Drabble about sbi family x reader where the reader is the newest adoptee to the family and it turns out they sleepwalk! They do random things like moving stuff around, talking to empty air, and can sometimes end up waking up nowhere near their bed. Just harmless shenanigans that might be spooky at first but are ultimately funny and endearing in a way.
Requested By: @0melodydrifter0
When Phil brought home a little girl wrapped in a blanket Wilbur was pissed, another child his father had adopted that Phil couldn’t take care of, another child that would end up being his and Techno’s duty to raise. However, something was different in his father’s eyes as he held the young girl close to his chest,
“Dad?” Wilbur murmured an eyebrow raised suspiciously high on his head, “What’s that?” He watched his father wince a little cradling the toddler closer to him,
“Wilbur...this is (Y/n). She’s going to be your new little sister.” Wilbur grits his teeth and felt rage flood through his veins again, not at the little one, no he couldn’t blame the child for his father’s savior complex. “An old friend of mine village was raided, he asked for my help but by the time I got there everyone was dead, everyone except her.” Phil moved some stray hair out from the kid’s eyes, “I couldn’t leave her for dead Wilbur.” Wilbur’s face softened a little bit, now wasn’t the time to argue with his father, especially since he had just lost a friend.
“Could I...see her?” He asked hesitantly as Phil knelt down beside one of his eldest, Wilbur noted the girl had flecks of (h/c) hair on her forehead, her face was covered in soot and ash, he noted she had the brightest (e/c) eyes he’s ever seen. She was quiet, very different from Tommy already, she reached up and touched the side of Wilbur’s cheek with a pudgy hand. The boy was done for after that, vowing up and down that he’d be the best big brother in the world to her even if it killed him.
Much better than Tommy and Techno too.
Speaking of the first time Tommy and Techno met you it was quite the experience. Tommy basked in the fact of no longer being the youngest member of the family and Techno was quick to remind him the being the middle child was far worse. Tommy had called him a bitch and Phil told him not to curse in front of his sister which he huffed at, swearing to Phil that her first word would be fuck.
He got hit on the back of his head for that comment.
Technoblade was indifferent about that situation, saying orphans were cringe and that you smelled bad, Wilbur was okay with both of these outcomes. As he stated earlier he was going to be the favorite brother whether you knew it or not.
By the time you were ten years old Wilbur’s wish had come true, you stuck by his side and were a quiet staple in his life. He also spoiled you rotten, he made you songs and snuck you cookies when Phil wasn’t looking, he’d do anything to see that smile a smile on your face. However, much to his displeasure it seemed that both Technoblade and Tommy were encroaching on his little happy bubble with his sister.
It started with Technoblade, he noticed you following him around more often than not. At first, the hybrid was annoyed, he’d lock you out of his room and force you away by threatening to cut off your fingers if you didn’t leave him alone. However, that only made you cry and it made Techno panic if Phil heard you crying he’d be a dead man, and if Wilbur heard he’d be double dead. He began to try to hush you frantically, you didn’t calm down until he stated he would hang out with you a little longer. It shut you up immediately, oh you were a sneaky little shit, he could respect that. He decided he read to you if that was alright, you nodded eagerly, and he carried you into his room. You were a kid of few words and Technoblade could respect that, he pulled out a story about some of the ancient Greek Gods and Goddesses. Figuring the Art of War was probably too much for a ten-year-old, surprisingly he enjoyed himself. You were eager to learn and enjoyed the stories way more than he thought you would, okay maybe you bonded just a little. He had taken to calling you Moirai the greek goddess of destiny, not only that but Technoblade had started bringing you gifts from his adventures, something he never did for anyone else.
Therefore Wilbur was feeling VERY threatened and Technoblade LOVED it.
However, while the both of them were having their little pissing contest they didn’t notice their younger brother swooping in to join the fight for your attention. As the eldest were at war with themselves, Tommy had taken to sneaking you out of the house to cause trouble by his side. After all, no sister of his was going to be boring like Wilbur and Technoblade, she was going to be as awesome as he was if he had anything to say about it. So when he snuck you out one night against their wishes when they were too busy to notice he decided to take full advantage of that opportunity. He adored hearing your enthusiastic giggles as he tore through the forest with you on his shoulders.
You were typically a very quiet child, so to hear you laugh because of him made Tommy preen with delight. Your fingers were twisted in his blonde locks as you steered him like a horse, it hurt like hell but so long as it kept you steady he really didn’t mind.
The joy didn’t last long because Wilbur and Technoblade had found them not soon after he escaped their clutches. Techno plucked you off his shoulders and held you in his arms, you let out a little whine of disappointment and Tommy frowned,
“Oh come on Technoblade don’t be an asshole!”
“Don’t curse in front of (Y/n), Tommy.” Wilbur hissed hitting him on the back of his head, “you can’t just run off with her it’s dangerous!”
“I can protect her just fine you bitch!”
“Oh please, you can barely protect yourself.” Technoblade scoffed as you began to play with his pink hair, hating the tense atmosphere. Tommy snarled at his brother and moved to punch him in the chest but Techno was quick to sidestep them, “nice one genius.”
     “FUCK OFF!”
You let out a displeased whine and covered your ears at the volume Tommy shouted,
“Shut up Tommy,” Wilbur hissed “You’re way too loud and you’re upsetting her.”
“WE WERE HAVING A LOVELY TIME UNTIL YOU FUCKERS RUINED IT!”
“Tom-Tom please shush,” You pressed a finger to your mouth in distress, mimicking a hushing movement. His face faltered, his voice lowering in volume as he apologized softly towards you. “Thank you,” a big smile spread across your lips, and all three brothers visibly relaxed.
“Alright little one,” Wilbur spoke tenderly running a hand through your hair his heart-melting a little as you nuzzled against it. “Let’s get you home, it’s way past your bedtime.” You groaned in distaste falling against Techno’s shoulder with a soft thud, the man chuckled softly as all three brothers walked back home.
It was about two months after that when your happy facade came crashing down around you, it had been a particularly rough day. Everyone seemed to be busy with one thing or another and you were left to your own devices and thoughts. They all came rushing back to you, the memories of the day your village got raided and your bio parents passed away. Wilbur was the first to notice something was wrong and had asked Phil to check up on you, so when Phil finally got around to ask what was wrong you burst into tears. That’s when they discovered you apparently remembered more of the incident than you let on. It broke their hearts to see you so upset over something you had no control over, but like everyone else in their family of misfits, you blamed yourself for simply surviving the tragedy.
They had made sure to coddle you the rest of the day, Technoblade had made sure to make you your favorite food for dinner. Phil and Wilbur tried to keep you busy with music and potion brewing and Tommy played some discs to help you fall asleep. You did so smiling and his heart soared, point to Tommy for getting you to fall asleep with a smile.
Your found family had gathered that night to discuss what they should do with you moving forward. Phil had declared they all do their best to keep you distracted the next few days, preferably in shifts if that was needed. Wilbur offered to spend the morning with you, he wanted to visit Niki and Sally and both of them loved you if anyone would cheer you up they would. Tommy offered the afternoon and he could bring Tubbo over and you all could play soldiers, Techno said he’d handle the nights with Phil.
Everyone settled into bed to get a much-needed rest, out of all the brothers Technoblade was the lightest sleeper. So when he woke up in a cold sweat with you standing over his bed he almost shit himself. You had a glassy look in your (e/c) eyes,
“(Y/n)? What are you doing? Do you know how late it is?” Technoblade scolded reaching out to grab his glasses, you didn’t respond to him which made his nose scrunch up. “Did you have a nightmare?” His voice got quieter as he reached out to cup your cheek, still no response from you. “Kid?” He sat up as you turned away from him to wander back out the door, “what just happened?” He murmured scratching under his chin, he’d have to bring this up tomorrow.
Wilbur was concerned and immediately wanted to seek a doctor, especially because you had no remembrance of the event. Phil ran a hand through his hair in thought, “could it be sleepwalking?”
“(Y/n)’s too cool to sleepwalk. What the fuck do you mean?” Tommy scoffed and you frowned eyebrows furrowing together.
“Well it makes sense, doesn’t it? She doesn’t remember walking around but it clearly happened. Hopefully, it was only a one-off occurrence and she’ll never do it again.”
“Is it bad if I do?” You whispered shuffling on your feet suddenly self-conscious, “Tommy doesn’t seem to think it’s good.” They all glared at the teenager who winced and rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly. Phil knelt down in front of you and cupped your cheeks with his hands,
“It’s not bad. We just have to take some extra precautions for you is all, it’s perfectly normal especially after the trauma you went through.” You bit your lip and nodded within his hands, “Tommy’s an idiot-”
      “Hey!-
“That doesn’t make you any less of a person and it doesn’t make you any more abnormal either,” Phil assured as Techno began snickering behind him, he turned his head to shoot him a look.
“What? It’s just funny assuring her she’s normal when no one in this house is normal.” Technoblade waved his hand, “we’re all a bunch of misfits- don’t give me that look you know it’s true. Half of us are hybrids and the other half are gremlins,” He motioned to Tommy again who made an indigent sound tired of being the butt of everyone’s teasing. “So she’s never gonna be normal, but she’s always gonna be one of us and we’ll kill anyone who even thinks about teasing her.”
Phil smiled sheepishly sweat gathering on his brow, “Let’s not kill anyone Techno at least not now. Especially if they’re children.”
“Now, now dad, Technoblade has a point.”
“Wilbur.” Phil scolded as Tommy’s face lit up,
“Can I punch a child?” You burst into laughter at Phil’s horrified expression,
     “No Tommy. No, you cannot!”
“It’s okay papa I give them explicit permission to beat anyone up who fucks with me!” You shouted and Tommy’s face once again lit up, he grabbed you out of Phil’s arms and held you close.
“You said Fuck! I’m so proud I’m teaching you so well!” He spun you around only causing you to laugh harder as the older members of your family glared at Tommy, “Now say it again!”
Wilbur plucked you from Tommy’s arms glaring at his brother, “No. No, she won’t say it again. That’s a bad word you can’t say it till you’re older.” A pout settled on your lips as you crossed your arms in frustration.
“But Tommy gets to say it all the time.”
“And he’s older.” Phil let out a chuckle at Wilbur's response watching you slump forward with a loud groan of absolute torment.
You didn’t sleepwalk again until a few months later, everyone had relatively assumed it was a one-off occurrence and their watchful eye was lifted. In the meantime Tommy had started to maybe sort of sneak out; he had his bag all packed and planned to meet Tubbo in the park. They both wanted to go monster hunting on their own, it wasn’t their first rodeo but it still wasn’t something he was supposed to do without his dad's permission.
Tommy didn’t give a shit about permission though.
Obviously.
He grabbed his sword from its place in the living room, Tommy held it up with a wicked smile. It shone in the dim light and he could see the reflection of his face inside it, it must’ve been freshly polished. Tommy put his sword in its holster and turned around, immediately letting out a startled yelp slapping his hands over his mouth. You were standing behind him eyes glassy as you blinked blearily at him,
“(Y/n)?” Tommy whisper hissed glaring at you harshly, “What the fuck are you doing awake?” You didn’t respond, only walking past him reaching for a sword of your own, his eyes widened frantically and steered you away from the sharp weaponry. “Are you sleepwalking?” Tommy asked in mild concern before a smirk came across his face, “Guess I don’t have to worry about you snitching huh?” He slowly led you into Phil’s room opening the door and shoving you in before shutting the door. Tommy made quick work of grabbing everything else needed before heading out of the house to meet up with Tubbo.
Phil woke up to you standing over him, looming, and it almost sent him into a heart attack. He knew immediately you were sleepwalking, “Oh honey...come ‘ere.” He pulled you into bed with him and watched your eyes drift close and snuggle up to him. At least you were safe with him, so long as you didn’t start unlocking doors and injuring yourself they could handle this.
After telling the other brothers about the incident last night Wilbur was only growing more concerned about your sleep state. He offered to take you to the doctor but Phil brushed him off, saying that normally this thing sorts themself out on their own. Since he was feeling rather protective Wilbur slept in the living room the next few nights just to make sure you didn’t go wandering off. Plus, Phil seemed to not only approve of but also grateful for the idea; so long as the old man could get much-needed rest he didn’t seem to care. Another week flew by with no problems, and he decided to spend one last night in the living room just to triple-check you weren’t going to sleepwalk.
He woke up to the sound of a hooting owl and soft banging against the wall, he tossed his hand over the back of the couch and he blinked blearily. Unlike his twin, he didn’t exactly have the razor-sharp reflexes that Technoblade was gifted with. Wilbur grabbed his glasses from the coffee table and shoved them on his face haphazardly.
What was that noise? Did Tommy sneak out again? He turned towards the opened door and it took a few moments to process why the door was open. Wilbur scratched the top of his head in confusion before his eyes snapped open in blatant realization. He tossed the blankets off the couch and scrambled out the door. Bare footprints were made in the mud leading away from your house, tiny you sized footprints.
Oh, he was so fucked. How long ago did you leave? Are you alright? It’s so cold and you weren’t wearing shoes.
Wilbur made sure to grab both of your jackets and shoved his feet in his boots before heading out the door. He saw his breath out in front of him and winced you must be so cold, hopefully, you weren’t dead if you were he was totally in big trouble. He followed your footprints until they stopped at the edge of the woods, he looked around frantically and anxiety prickled at his skin. If the trail went cold here there was no way he would be able to find you, what if you woke up in a completely different part of the SMP. Or worse yet what if someone kidnaps you and takes you away from them?
He entered the woods calling out your name desperately even though you wouldn’t respond if you were still asleep. Wilbur adjusted his glasses noticing a soft trail of broken leaves, he decided it was his best bet to follow them. Eventually, he came to a bit of a clearing in the woods that led up to a large cliff, Wilbur’s heart sunk. He felt his breathing stop as he walked towards the edge of the cliff, slowly like he didn’t want to know if he thinks what happened to you, happened to you. At the very top of the cliff is when he saw it, the bracelet you always wore on your wrist it was made of gold and Technoblade had gifted it to you after an adventure he had with Phil. He pulled the jewelry close to his chest and let out a shaky breath, tears swelled in his eyes as he peeked over the edge of the cliff. The poor boy couldn’t even see the bottom, Phil would have to fly down and search it, he was going to throw up.
     “Wilby…?”
Oh god, he could still hear your sweet, little voice.
“What are you doing? Are you crying?”
Wait, that was your voice!
He whipped around to find you rubbing your tired eyes, your feet were bare and you were shivering. Wilbur tore through the bush and scooped you up in his arms, cuddling you close to him as he peppered kisses all over your face. “Ewww Wilby stop!” You said through giggles pushing his face away from your own,
“I’m so glad you’re alright. You were sleepwalking again, I thought…” His voice cracked a little as you tilted your head. You looked around his shoulder and eyed the cliff wearily, you nuzzled against his neck and squeezed him tightly.
     “I’m sorry…”
“It’s not your fault.” He whispered against you, “let's get you home though alright? Want to have a sleepover with me?”
“Please. I’m scared I’ll wander off if I sleep alone again.” Wilbur nodded, running his fingers through your messy hair. For a girl your age, it was important to make sure you get a good night's sleep. As he carried you back home you ended up falling back asleep in his arms, he had a lot of time to think. He couldn’t believe that a few years ago he had despised the girl in his arms, thought of you as just another stowaway Phil brought home. You had managed to melt his heart and worm your way into not just his brain but his other brother’s brains as well. You had brought so much joy and happiness into their lives. Before you entered their lives there was arguing every night. Tommy and Techno were always at each other’s throats, Wilbur wasn’t any better, to be honest, but then you were there and everything changed. They had to get along and watch their language around you, you weirdly brought them together. Made them better and he couldn’t imagine what their lives would be like without their little hope.

I had this idea, I dunno if it’s dumb or not, but I figured if anyone knew it would be you! Y’know, cause you seem like you know way more than me about all these mcyt guys and gals? Anyways, I saw that a lot of people headcanon that Shlatt was Tubbo’s dad, and seeing all those dad!Shlatt AUs gave me an idea:
What if after Shlatt’s dead, after things have settled, after Tubbo becomes president and spends most of his time cleaning up the messes and mistakes Shlatt left behind- he discovers he wasn’t Shlatt’s only child. He finds handwritten letters in Shlatt’s files from a distant village, all of them fairly recent, asking him for child support money, or asking him to take “his mistake” with him. But the last letter Tubbo finds is a typed one informing Shlatt that the woman who sent all the previous letters has died, and that he has 1 month to come collect his child, or they’ll become a ward of the state; it’s been roughly 2 and a half weeks since that letter arrived. How would Tubbo react to all of this, and more importantly, would he take on the responsibility of becoming his new sibling’s guardian?
I don’t know how I became the person to come to for this lol. I hope you enjoy!

Tubbo looked up the old White House building, taking a deep breath before going in. Inside, he immediately scrunched up his nose at the familiar smell of alcohol and cigarette smoke.
“Damn it, dad.” He muttered under his breath before starting to clean up the building.
He said he’d clean the building out himself as his father was the one who trashed it and now was that day. A lot of his presidency was cleaning up Schlatt’s mistakes before he even ran the rest of his new country. He sighed as he put another empty bottle in a trash bag. Schlatt had really lost it running things.
Slowly but surely, Tubbo was able to get the White House to a much cleaner state. He was now in the main office and was searching the drawers for his father's inevitable “secret” booze stashes when he found some handwritten letters tucked in the very back of the drawer. Frowning, Tubbo took them out and saw them all addressed to Schlatt.
Sitting down, Tubbo read the letter on top and his eyes went wide, back going straight as he reread the words before him.
I want money for this child you helped bring into this world!
        A child?
The rest of the letter was talking about asking for child support and Tubbo was floored. Quickly, he read the next letter and it was much of the same, demanding Schlatt to take responsibility.
        “Holy shit…” Tubbo muttered. “I got…I got a sibling?”
He made his way through the rest of the letters, his heart clenching when the woman writing the letters called his poor sibling a mistake or made stabs at Schlatt.
Then the last letter was a lot more formal. It was stamped with an official seal and dated. Schlatt had opened it as told by the broken seal but had obviously also put the letter back without a care after reading. Tubbo’s breath hitched as he read the letter though.
          Dear Mr. Jschlatt:
We are sorry to inform you Miss Trentha has passed in an accident.
Behind, she has left a five-year-old (Y/N), of which in our records has your name on her birth papers. We will give you a month’s time to make a decision; after, we will have no choice but to send (Y/N) to become a ward of the state.
Tubbo quickly looked at the date of when the letter was sent.
“Two and a half weeks!” Tubbo exclaimed as he jumped up. “Shit! What should I do?”
He looked around the office he had spent time cleaning trying to process everything at once, words failing him. In a few short moments, he had found out he wasn’t an only child, that Schlatt hadn’t even looked back at this girl or her horrible mother, and that the sibling he just found out about was going to become a ward of the state! Schlatt had at least been kind enough to Tubbo to let Philza raise him but this child going into the adoption system…
“I-I got to run L’Manberg. There’s so much to do.” Tubbo ran a hand through his hair as he panicked.
But then Tommy’s words echoed in his head.
You can’t become the next Schlatt.
Schlatt was obviously going to let this child fend for themselves, Tubbo couldn’t be his father. He had to at least meet them. With a new will, he gathered around his friends, and with reassurances that they had L’Manberg covered, Tubbo set off on a horse to the village. It was a good three-day journey, so he’d only have roughly a week left to make his decision of what he was going to do.
Coming to the village, Tubbo took a deep breath as he stared at it. What was she going to be like? She probably didn’t have the best raising based on the letters that the mother sent. Tying up the horse outside the main hall, Tubbo went in, going through the various processes to prove that he was indeed Jschlatt’s child and proving that his father was dead.
After, they took Tubbo to a home where a bunch of children were outside playing but there was one that stood out among them and it wasn’t because she was sitting alone. It was because she had tiny horns on top of her head that were just starting to come in. Tubbo put a hand on his horns that were just starting to curl without thinking.
“That’s (Y/N).” The man that led him here nodded to the little girl.
        “She’s five, right?” Tubbo asked.
“Yes. She’s not very talkative, but you can introduce yourself to her.”
Tubbo had few guesses why she didn’t want to talk. He went over, a few of the other kids were pointing at him. (Y/N) was using a stick to push images in the dirt, looking up when a shadow got in the way of the sun. Tubbo smiled when he saw her surprise when she looked up at him, he sitting next to her, wearing his casual wear rather than his suit.
“Hi. I’m Tubbo.” He introduced himself to her.
(Y/N) was silent as she stared obviously at his horns. “You have horns…”
“Yeah, I do. I’m a ram just like you.”
“Really?” She met his eyes now.
“Mhm. I, uh, I actually knew your dad because he was my dad.”
She shifted as she looked back at the ground. “Daddy was a bad man.”
Tubbo winced, putting a hand on his neck. “Why do you say that?”
        “Mommy use to say that.”
“Ah. Well…dad wasn’t the greatest, I agree. It wasn’t nice for him to leave you alone.”
The little girl was silent and Tubbo tried to think of a subject change.
        “Do you like drawing?”
She nodded. “Mommy wouldn’t let me use paper but I like drawing in the dirt.”
        “Oh…do you…have any friends?”
She put a hand on one of her little horns and he immediately understood.
“I get it.” He smiled gently, putting a hand on his horn. “I didn’t have a lot of friends until I met my best friend Tommy. I’m sure you will find some friends.”
His heart melted as she gave him her first small smile. “I hope so.”
He sat with her just talking away, the time passing so fast without either of them knowing as they talked. He felt like he learned so much but so little about her; yet, he loved every moment sitting with her. She had to go back with the other children of the orphanage but within a few hours, Tubbo made up his mind. He couldn’t leave this little girl with everyone else; he’d take her back to L’Manberg.
So, in the morning, Tubbo put on his suit to be professional and he did the paperwork before waiting for them to bring (Y/N). (Y/N) came in timidly and Tubbo smiled gently as he crouched in front of her.
“Hey, so, I don’t want to leave without you, would you like to come with me? I can introduce you to a few of my good friends.”
“…They’re all nice like you, right?”
He chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck. “Yeah, a few of them are pretty nice.”
She looked around but nodded. “Ok.”
He grinned as he stood up. “Then I’m going to take you back to my home.”
They got the few things that she owned and Tubbo put them on the horse. After, Tubbo changed into more appropriate riding clothes before getting on with (Y/N).
“Alright, here we go.” He muttered before getting the horse to go.
Off they went to L’Manberg, Tubbo making sure they had shelter each night. It was a bit stressful for Tubbo on these few days. He had gotten used to not eating every day but he had to remember now to make sure (Y/N) ate. He also had to remember this was boring as hell for her so he tried his best to make little games as they galloped along. There was a point he went off on a bee tangent for half an hour after spotting one and pouted to himself when he saw (Y/N) had fallen asleep against him but he kept an arm wrapped around her so she didn’t fall off.
As he got back to L’Manberg, he huffed as he saw Tommy and Fundy arguing as Quackity was laughing, Ranboo standing to the side awkwardly. Yeah, that’s how he expected his cabinet to act with him gone. He tied up his horse, grabbing (Y/N)’s things before taking her hand as he walked over to them. As the pair went over, (Y/N) hide behind him shyly.
        “Guys!” Tubbo called.
“Tubbo! Tell this furry bitch—” Tommy started.
“Oh, fuck off Tommy!” Fundy shouted back.
        They started having another go.
“GUYS!” Tubbo shouted, making (Y/N) jump with the rest of the group. “I have someone for you to meet, so can you shut it?”
Tommy spotted the little girl peeking out from behind Tubbo, noticing the horns first.
“Holy shit, she has horns like yours.” Tommy went around Tubbo.
“Yeah, this is (Y/N), she’s my little sister.”
“A sister?!” Tommy looked at Tubbo surprised.
        Tubbo nodded. “I adopted her.”
        “I’m sorry?”
“It’s a long story but I’m back and I’m got to bring her to my house,” Tubbo told them before walking off, feeling the little girl squeeze his hand tighter, probably getting overwhelmed.
They got to Tubbo’s house and he looked around.
“Er…You can have my room. I’ll need to make you a room.” He smiled at her.
        “Ok…thank you.”
He patted her head between her horns. “I couldn’t leave you behind sis. Let’s get you settled in and I can make us some steak. Sound good?”
        She nodded.
Tubbo knew it would be stressful learning to take care of another human while he had to run a nation but he had his friends to help him. He hoped he could do all this right.

haunted house
a/n: im sorry for all the super short fics D:
Tubbo doesn’t know why he was so nervous about this. It’s fun.
Tommy, on the other hand, looks terrified. He’d been the one to suggest a haunted house, but he seems to be strongly regretting that decision. He shrieks at another jumpscare, making Tubbo laugh.
“Fuck you!” he whines.
They manage to get through the whole thing without Tommy having a heart attack, so Tubbo considers it a win. As they leave, Tommy walks ahead, which gives Tubbo an idea.
He creeps up behind him, then suddenly lunges and wraps his arm around him. Tommy yells, as expected.
“Oh, fuhuck off!” he grumbles.
Tubbo laughs again. “Come on, it’s funny.”
“To you, maybe.”
“Don’t be like that.” Tubbo curls his fingers into Tommy’s sides, feeling him stiffen. It gives him another idea. He’s having so many great ideas tonight. He crawls his fingers up Tommy’s sides, digging in between a few of his ribs and making his way up. Tommy giggles before slapping a hand over his mouth.
“See, you find it funny too!” Tubbo says, standing on his tiptoes and burying his head into the crook of Tommy’s neck. He knows from past experience with Ranboo that fluffy hair is a great tool for tickling. As expected, Tommy scrunches his shoulders up, using his free hand to try to shove Tubbo off of him.
“I do nohot,” Tommy protests, shutting up immediately afterwards to make sure no more giggles slip out.
“You’re so cute,” Tubbo says, both teasing and sincerely. Tommy squeaks, bringing both hands up to hide his face.
Tubbo takes the opportunity to scribble under his arms, smiling when his arms shoot back down to his sides as he finally starts laughing. “There we go! You have a nice laugh, y’know.”
Tommy shakes his head. “Shuhut the fuhuhuck uhup!”
Tubbo backs off not too long after that, immediately beginning to walk ahead. “Come on!” he calls, turning around to look at his giggly, blushy friend.
It’s… it’s a little endearing. Maybe more than a little.
Tubbo walks back, smiling down at him and ruffling his hair. Tommy looks like he’s going to say something, but he keeps interrupting himself with hiccups.
“Want me to carry you back?” Tubbo asks. Tommy nods. Tubbo turns around and bends down, letting Tommy climb onto his back.
He probably should have realised that that’s a perfect position for Tommy to get his revenge.

Day 2: Truth or dare
Bench trio my beloved XD And so day two begins! This one is actually going to come back in a different day to be finished,,, but you’ll have to see which prompt it’s for. hehehe Again, the only warnings I can think of are teasing and this one in my mind is irl.
“Truth or dare”
Tubbo debated the question for a moment. He was playing with Tommy and Ranboo, so no matter which he chose there was bound to be trouble, he was just doing damage control at this point. “Um,” He wondered out loud, the two boys beaming at him while they waited for his answer.
He tried to think about it logically, Tommy had been the one to ask and so far he’d given out the worst dares, plus he was already looking for revenge from where Tubbo made him drink a little bit of every drink they had all put into one glass. It hadn’t been pretty, but he and Ranboo thought it was funny. So not dare then, “I’ll choose truth.”
Tommy deflated a little at that, though Ranboo still waited excitedly to see how things would turn out. “Alright,” the youngest of the trio whined, “I want you to tell me your biggest weakness then.”
“What, like a fatal flaw or some shit?” That wasn’t that bad, Tubbo thought. He could just say something along the lines of impulse buying or overthinking and be on with it. Would that count as ego, or be different. People always said they were vain, but what all did that mean?
Tommy shifted to sit up properly, hands flying while he talked. “No! Like, like your biggest weakness man. How can I take you down in a fight, because I can guarantee we are going to fight before this night is over Big Man. I want to know what strats to use.”
Tubbo quirked an eyebrow at the declaration, and off to the side, Ranboo snorted into his hand. “I am pretty sure I could take you in a fight, Tommy.” He said though Tommy wasn’t looking at him anymore. Instead, he was squinting at Ranboo with a decidedly suspicious look.
“What, have you got something you want to say then Boo Boy?”
Ranboo shook his head, smiling against himself. “No, I was just thinking about a, um, a tactic to take Tubbo down.”
That right there was when Tubbo should have known things weren’t going to go his way, but he didn’t make the connection to what exactly Ranboo was thinking of yet. Tommy rounded on him, holding him by the shoulders as he interrogated him. “How? You have to let me know, Ranboo. Have you seen him? He’s jacked, but I have to fight him, it’s the only way. Did you see the Buffbo pictures on Twitter, I don’t stand a chance. Please, please, please, tell me! I don’t want to have my ass beat Ranboo, I’m too pretty and funny for that.”
Ranboo laughed along with his ramblings, but in the end, agreed to lean down and share his secrets. If Tubbo didn’t think things were about to take a turn before then, seeing how Tommy’s smile lit up and his eyes went wide would have clued him in.
“Oh ho ho, Tubso, is that true?” Tommy asked in his ‘All-knowing big man’ voice.
Tubbo knew he was probably screwed, and started to inch away from the duo, but he didn’t know what exactly they were planning. “Is what true?”
“It’s okay, actually. I want to test it out myself.”
Tubbo tried to stand up, but Tommy collided with him before he could even make it off the couch. Immediately Tommy’s hand found his side and started squeezing.
Tubbo kicked out and shoved at Tommy, but couldn’t manage to force him away. Ranboo was a traitor he decided! “No! Tohommy! I whihill kihill you.”
“Ohho! You were right Ranboo, this is perfect.” Tommy cooed, “Is Tubbo a little bit ticklish then? I am so going to take advantage of this information.”
Tubbo grabbed at Tommy’s wrist and shook his head. “Youhu’re twice as bahad.” he called out. He’d seen Wilbur absolutely destroy Tommy on more than one occasion, it was pretty funny if he said so himself.
Tommy’s cheeks tinted pink and Ranboo laughed at him in the background. “Oi! Shut it, no I’m not. I just need to find your spots first.”
Tommy shifted around with a renewed interest, moving on to squeeze at Tubbo’s hip, and smiling evilly when the older teen kicked out. “Hey, don’t kick me Bitch! Does that mean this is a bad spot? Ranboo, Ran-boo, tell me what his worst spots are.”
Tubbo whipped his head around to glare at Ranboo, though it didn’t look quite as deadly as he wanted with his bubbly laughter. “Naha, he-he’s nehext,” he threatened. If Ranboo thought he could spill Tubbo’s secrets without getting it back at him then he was mistaken. It seemed to have landed because Ranboo visibly weighed his options.
“He’s probably going to get it next no matter what, now tell me, or else I won’t go easy when it’s your turn.”
Ranboo curled in on himself a little already, but it wasn’t much of a decision anymore. “That’s- okay. I won’t tell his worst-worst spot, but you should try going a little lighter at first, it makes him melt and relax more, then come in with harder ones later.”
“Trahatoir! TOhohmy No!”
And suddenly Tommy’s fingers were fluttering around his waist and Tubbo was lost in a sea of giggles. His eyes squinted with how much he was smiling, which only made it worse because he couldn’t see what was happening. “Tohohmmehey!” He squealed, still trying to kick at the boy and push him away. “Rahanboho why!”
“Oh that’s good,” Tommy says, looking over to Ranboo as if he didn’t have Tubbo starting to fall apart under his fingers. “I can already tell this works a lot better. Are you sure you don’t want to tell me what the best spot is? It might make things better for you when it’s your turn.”
Ranboo wrapped his arms around himself and shook his head, “I’m already going to get it bad from Tubbo, I don’t want to make it any worse.” he said with a tiny laugh.
Tommy grunted, clearly not pleased with Ranboo’s self-preservation. “Okay then, your funeral. I’ll just have to find it on my own then unless you want to let me know Tubbo?”
Tubbo shook his head, like hell he was doing that. “I’m nohot going to hehelp yohou!”
“Fine! How about here then?” Tommy huffed in half-hearted frustration, it was obvious he was still having fun with this. “What’s your Tub-belly like?” He slowly moved his hands closer and closer to Tubbo’s stomach, watching how he grew more and more giggly and squirmy the closer he got.
Tubbo couldn’t form words even if he wanted to, they came out much more like babbles than anything else. His hands found Tommy’s wrists and clung loosely. “Awee, look at him Ranboo! Isn’t he so cute, this must be a good spot then. Tub’s got a ticklish tummy? You’re so giggly and shit, how did I not know about this before?”
His cheeks flushed bright pink at the comments, they really weren’t necessary, he thought. Tommy seemed content to just stay there though and piled on the taunts. If there was one thing he had learned from Wilbur, it was that sometimes words are more efficient than anything else.
By the time Tubbo had completely melted into the couch cushions Tommy was exploring again, though his attack seemed to be tapering off. He gave a quick flutter up at Tubbo’s neck, not bothering to try to hold his head in one place. He could just flutter his fingers under his chin or on one side of his neck to get him to move how he wanted him to. He didn’t fully stop until after he had hit a spot behind Tubbo’s ears that made him start shaking his head again trying to get away, a shift from the lazy head turns and scrunches.
“Okay, okay. That’s enough for now. Count yourself as lucky that we still have to get Ranboo tonight too so I can’t have you too tired. Hey Ran- Ranboo?”
Tubbo peeked through tired eyes and looked over to where the other boy had been perched on the couch the entire night only to find him missing.
“Ranboo? Oh, that bitch! Come on Tubbo, get up, up, up! He’s escaped. Oh ho ho, he’s so in for it now. Oh Ran-boo, we’re coming for you!”

Echos In The Caverns
word count: 2,096
summary: while exploring, tubbo made an incredible discovery, and was desperate to show his best friend in grand-tubbo-fashion! however, that was just the one thing that led them to discover a large problem.
if you couldn’t tell, this fic was heavily inspired by the minecraft caves and cliffs update, i think it turned out nicely :D also if you tag this as ship i will personally hunt you down and whack you with my block button
warning: this is a sfw tickle fic! don’t read if that makes you uncomfortable :]
Tubbo_: TOMMY
Tubbo_: TOMMY ARE YOU THERE
Tommyinnit: what
Tubbo_: wheree are u
Tommyinnit: i’m at my house
Tommyinnit: why
Tubbo_: can yoyou come to your hotel
Tubbo_: and wear clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty!!!!!
Tommyinnit: why??
Tubbo_: you’ll see!!!
…What?
Tommy always knew that Tubbo tended to be quite the… holder of schemes. Good schemes? Maybe. Bad schemes? Also maybe. It really just depended on the day. It wasn’t irregular of him to not say what his plans were either, the young boy was often one for surprises.
Tommy looked down at the clothes he was currently wearing. A red and white baseball shirt and some khakis, also known as what he wore pretty much everyday. He had plenty of other shirts and pants that looked similar, (if not, the exact same) so it would be fine if he got just one outfit a little wet.
The young boy headed out of his small residence, which wasn’t at all far from the hotel at all. He walked down the prime path, entering the gate and heading for the front of the hotel, only to see no one there.
“Tubbo? Where are ya, bee boy?” He mumbled under his breath, looking for his best friend. He wandered around to the back… maybe he was there?
And there he was.
Tubbo had his back turned, placing a line of redstone dust along the ground. He stood up, wiping the dust off of his hands, then turned around with a grin.
“Tommy!!” He ran over to his best friend, engulfing the other in a tight hug.
“Tubbo! You’re gonna get fuckin’ redstone dust all over me.” He grumbled, though a smile was on his face. He could feel Tubbo take his hands, guiding him over and walking the two of them next to a lever that wasn’t there the last time Tommy was here.
“Okay, so earlier, I decided to dig straight down, right at this spot.”
“Idiot.” Tommy poked fun at his best friend.
“I thought it would be a bad idea too, but let me finish. Anyways, I just wanted to do it because, y’know, I wanted to see where it would take me! And man, I discovered something incredible, Tommy.” Tubbo turned around leaning down a flipping the switch of the lever.
“So that’s what you’re going to be showing me, right?” Tommy crossed his arms.
“Mhm!” The older of the two stood back up, looking at Tommy with excitement in his eyes. “Just be sure to be prepared for the drop!”
“…The drop? Wh-”
Before Tommy could finish, he heard the sound of pistons and felt the ground disappear underneath him. Before he knew it, the two of them were falling. It was pitch black, and the two of them were falling and screaming. They let out two different screams, Tubbo’s out of thrill and adrenaline and Tommy’s out of pure fear.
It took about ten seconds of falling and screaming for them to finally see light, but Tommy was too terrified to open his eyes. Instead, he was met with the chilling feeling of cold water. Panicked, he opened his eyes as much as he could and swam to the surface, gasping for air.
“TUBBO! WHAT THE FUCK?!” He yelled at the other, who had also risen from the surface. “What the fuck was that for?! You can’t just make us drop like that with no warning, I thought we were gonna die! I-“
“Oh, quit whining and swim to the shore!” Tubbo brushed him off. Tommy huffed, but obeyed, throwing his arms in front of him to propel him forward. Tubbo got to the shore first, and pulled him out of the water.
“Tubbo, why the fuck did you think that was a good idea?!”
“Tommy- Tommy, calm down. One, I would never kill you on purpose. And two, this was the easiest and quickest way down! Anyways, look behind you. Turn around.” Tubbo said to him. Tommy rolled his eyes and turned, expecting nothing grand, but his eyes widened in shock.
It was the most incredible thing he had ever seen.
A roaring waterfall poured water into the lake they had just dropped into, and sides of the waterfall were lined with purple gemstones. Ores lined the stone walls and lush moss covered the ceiling, draping down. Small, jagged rocks on the ceiling were covered by moss, and it looked like someone, likely Tubbo, had placed torches and lanterns around the area.
“What… What is this?” Tommy asked, jaw agape.
“What you’re looking at is the coolest cave the two of us will ever lay eyes upon.” Tubbo grinned, placing a hand on Tommy’s wet shoulder.
“…Holy shit, Tubbo! This is fucking incredible! A-And you found this just through digging down?!”
“Yep! Now come on, there’s tons of cool things here that you gotta see!” The ram hybrid grabbed Tommy’s hand, running around the lake and dragging him along.
Tommy honestly wasn’t sure if he had ever seen anything this amazing before. He got to climb hills of stone and ore, swim in the grand lake, and he and Tubbo even found an axolotl! They took it in a bucket with water, and since it was pink, they agreed on the name of “Technoblade Jr.”
Eventually though, all good things had to come to an end. The torches wouldn’t fend off monsters forever, so the two of them decided it was best to go back to the surface. Tubbo said that he had dug out a staircase through the stone that led to the surface, somewhere near Eret’s castle.
There was only one small problem. They couldn’t find it.
“I-It should be this way!”
“Tubbo, we’ve been down here for, like- for fuckin’ ever!”
“Okay, we’ve been here for a few hours at the most. And majority of that isn’t even us searching for the stairs.” Tubbo rolled his eyes.
Tommy sighed as he and Tubbo only found another dead end, a wall covered in vines and moss. “Face it, Tubbo. We’re lost. We’re fuckin’ lost, and we’re going to have to spend the night here.” He set a torch on the wall, taking a moment to sit down.
“Oh, don’t say that, Tommy!” His friend sat down next to him on the ground. Tommy crossed his arms, looking away and making Tubbo frown. “Look, we can always make a new staircase! It’ll take a while, but we can do it!” He nudged Tommy lightly with his elbow, but only got more of the silent treatment.
Tubbo huffed in annoyance. Tommy tended to get silent when things didn’t go his way, which was understandable. But it would get frustrating to Tubbo sometimes, he wouldn’t lie. And what’s worse was that he could clearly tell that Tommy was upset, and he wasn’t saying anything about it. He lightly leaned against Tommy’s shoulder, the silence being oddly comforting for a moment.
Tubbo stood up, leaving Tommy to mope by himself. He had to admit, this was a cool place to be lost in. The sights were incredible, and there were so many things he hadn’t found in caves before. Glowing squids, axolotls, crystals, cave vines…
Cave vines.
That’s it! He knew exactly what would cheer Tommy up! Why didn’t he think of this sooner?
Tubbo walked towards the longest vine he could find that draped from the stone ceiling, standing on his toes to pull it down and grinning as the vine snapped in two. He threaded the vine through his fingers, glad to find that it wasn’t rough and didn’t have anything sharp on it. He sat down next to Tommy, holding the vine in his hands.
“Tommy…” He leaned towards his friend, still not getting a response. Quietly, he draped the vine around Tommy’s neck. The other noticed, but said nothing. That is, not until his shoulders scrunched up when he felt Tubbo pull the vine across his neck.
“Tubbo-” He said softly, slamming his lips shut afterwards.
“What’s up, Tommy?” He asked, lightly scratching the other’s neck with his fingers.
“Where’s that smile, big man?” Tubbo used his other hand to poke his friend in the side a couple of times, grinning as he saw a smile start to form at the corner of Tommy’s lips.
“Tuhubbo, quihit it!” He giggled, starting to move away before Tubbo wrapped an arm around him and pulled him close, trapping him in a half-hug.
“There we go!” Tubbo scribbled his fingers across Tommy’s stomach, making the young boy squeal and bury his head into Tubbo’s shoulder as an attempt to hide his face. Tommy laughed, trying to grab at Tubbo’s hands.
“Don’t even try to fight back, mister.” He rolled his eyes. “I wanna make sure that you keep smiling! These caves are no place to be sad!”
“TuHUHUB- *snrk* TUHUBBO! Dohohon’t!” Tommy snorted, eventually grabbing onto one of Tubbo’s wrists. Tubbo brought his other hand back to drill his fingers back into Tommy’s stomach, the other laughing and eventually grabbing onto Tubbo’s other wrist. Both of them grinned as residual laughter spilled out of Tommy’s mouth.
“You’re so fuckin’ mean.” Tommy huffed out, unable to fight a grin.
“Oh, come on, you were sad! What else am I supposed to do, not what I do whenever you’re sad?” Tubbo rolled his eyes, smirking. “Besides, you didn’t fight back. We know you liked it.”
Tommy blinked, feeling his cheeks warm up, then narrowed his eyes. “Oh, you’re asking for it.” He growled, holding the other’s hands above his head.
Tubbo squeaked, already starting to squirm. “Wahait, no! Nonono, dohon’t!” He said, unable to stop giggles from coming out from hiding.
“Aww, what’s wrong, Tubbo? Are you scared? Scared of just a little tiny bit of tickling?” Tommy smirked, holding his wrists firmly and letting go, shooting his hands into his friend’s underarms. Tubbo immediately broke, instantly leaning towards the ground to try and get away.
“NoHOHO- gehehehet oHOHOut of thehehere!” Tubbo giggled, twisting his body to try and push off Tommy’s hands.
“You did the exact same to me! It’s only natural to expect revenge!” Tommy scribbled more rapidly, grinning as the other squealed and started to kick his legs. “Wow, Tubbo. Sometimes, I honestly forget how fuckin’ ticklish you are. And then I rediscover it for myself, and I remember just how ballistic you go every time!”
“ShUHUT UHUhup, yohou dihiHIhick!” The ram hybrid yelled through giggles.
“Hey! Well that’s just rude now, isn’t it? Guess you need to learn a lesson, huh?” Tommy asked, chuckling as Tubbo rapidly shook his head. Tommy started to squeeze up and down his thighs, and the other squealed, throwing his head back and hugging himself.
“TOHOhoHOmMY!! NohohoHOHO!!”
“Oh, you brought this onto yourself, don’t even try to “Tommy, no” me!” Tommy played around, trying to see what would work back. Squeezing the back of Tubbo’s thighs made him squeak, squeezing rapidly up and down made him squeal, and raking nails up and down the inner thighs made him cackle.
“TOHOHOMMY!! PleheHEAHase, I- StohoHOhop!!” Tubbo rocked back and forth.
“Hmmm… alright.” Tommy said after a moment of thinking, drawing his hands back.
“Wahait, really?” A giggly Tubbo was quite surprised, starting to sit up.
“…No.” Tommy smirked, suddenly pushing the other’s shirt up, leaning down, and blowing a raspberry on his bare stomach. Tubbo shrieked, retreating back to the ground instantaneously.
“NOHOHOHO- AHAHAHAHA!!! TOHOHOHOMMEHEY!!!” Tubbo squirmed around, trying to get away as Tommy now scribbled and clawed as his stomach with all ten fingers. His laughter echoed throughout the caves, filling Tommy with glee.
“Come on, you deserve this for all of the times you got back at me!” His friend grinned, leaning down to blow another raspberry right onto Tubbo’s belly button. The ram’s laughter went silent momentarily, then came back in the form of cackles with hiccups mixed in. Tommy stopped, laughing softly and ruffling Tubbo’s hair.
“You feeling better, big man?” Tubbo asked with a stupidly large grin on his face.
“Much better.” Tommy grinned, standing up and extending a hand towards his friend, helping him off of the ground. “Now, come on, grab your pickaxe. That staircase isn’t gonna build itself now, innit?”
Tubbo nodded, pulling out a pickaxe and starting to help Tommy dig out a path to the surface. He looked behind him one last time, deciding that he needed to come back here again sometime with Tommy, and maybe some other friends.
After all, it’s good to go back to places that bring you happy memories, right?

The Tailor of the SMP (pt. 2)
The SMP has been irrevocably changed by the outcome of the L’Manberg election, and the seeds of doubt have been planted in the tailor’s mind. Thalia’s still apolitically neutral though. One hundred percent.
part one | ao3 link
“Y’know, bleeding on my carpet is a terrible way to say thank you for being your personal tailor.” “Sorry.” Was all he muttered, eyes closed and teeth gritted. Thalia’s shoulders slumped. She got up, went to her kitchen and got him a cup of tea, a towel and the first aid kit. Told him not to mention it. Sent him home an hour later with a soft smile and the promise not to tell anyone. Went to bed, but not before drawing up a quick pattern for a reinforced t-shirt that wouldn’t be too heavy to be comfortable. He still managed to bleed through it within the week, however, he said it was comfy enough, so she counted that as a win.
*****
Oh, how did she know that? Why, a certain Tommy Innit finally stopped by. “He-llo Thalia! My favourite woman!” “One of these days I will use you as a pincushion.” He pouted, sat on the window seat in her main business room - having already made himself at home - arms crossed over one and a half L’Manberg uniforms folded in semi-neat piles. “You’re so mean.” “You’re annoying.” She shot back, going to retrieve his and Wilbur’s clothes from the next room. Unlike Wilbur and his caution, Tommy had come inexplicably in the middle of the day. So she already knew he was about alright.
“Y’see, most people find me incredibly annoying at first, but-” “You grow on people like a dandelion, I know. Changing room’s second door on the left, hurry up and give me back my uniforms-” “Oi, our uniforms-” “Yes, yes, whatever, hurry up and get out of here. I’ve got Eret pencilled in for one.” His nose wrinkled. “Fuck that guy.” Thalia just laughed.
She asked briefly about the state of things after he’d reinstated himself in his characteristic red and white shirt, and learnt that Tommy and Tubbo had had a somewhat emotional reunion, before he abruptly back-pedalled to clarify that Tubbo had been the only one to get choked up (sure, Tommy). She alluded to Wilbur, to which Tommy gave the mother-of-all sighs and relayed that he seemed a little off, but was sure he’d get over the election-thing eventually so they could focus on their underground rebellion. And that was really all they had time for.
She caught his arm by the door, “Oh, take these as a freebie.” She handed him a wad of messily embroidered handkerchiefs: practice runs for expensive orders. He scrunched up his brow as he turned them over, “What the fuck am I gonna do with these?” She rolled her eyes, “Give them to Wilbur then, I don’t care. Just take ‘em and go.” He gave her one last suspicious squint and left.
Suffice to say, life from then on was weird. Business came in short bursts, leaving her with ages with nothing to do. Quackity required a new shirt after he accidentally split the side seams in what Thalia can only assume was fulfilling his job description as the “fattest ass in the cabinet”. (His words, not hers.) Tubbo placed an order out-of-the-blue for three navy-blue ‘demon hunting uniforms’, which, strange, but she certainly ran them up. Fundy came by once early-ish into the Schlatt administration, asking what her rates were on full-size flags. She shooed him off her property with a handy nearby leaf blower. She was still mad about the L’Manberg flag.
So in her newfound spare time, she found herself planning to attend a party. The Manberg Festival, on October 16th. She wouldn’t usually attend an event like that (especially when it literally had political affiliations on the poster), but she decided to put aside her introverted ways for an evening and go hang out in Manberg. Quackity playfully told her it was going to be a ‘blast’ when he stopped by for an emergency jacket alteration the day before, and she rolled her eyes in response.
Sixteen hours later, flattened against the inside of a game stall on the Manberg high street, she knew he couldn't have known the irony of what he said. Even so, it was glaringly obvious. The Manberg Festival was a blast, and she was almost definitely about to have an influx of customers again. That is if they weren’t all burgundy stains on the cobbled streets. She saw a half-shining, all-shouting blur rocket past the grandstand, fighting off an entire crowd of Manbergians with one sword swung in a continued helicopter motion, yelling the name of his best friend, and she anticipated one more important visit. If they all survived the night.
When he came, it was a quiet morning visit. The boy was wrapped in bandages, hunched small inside a hoodie at least a size too big, and holding the hand of a friend tightly. Tommy nodded tersely to her when she met them at the door, then he excused himself to watch the perimeter, antsy and on high alert, but not for himself. Tubbo was quieter than usual - which is saying something - as he asked for his usual clothes back. She wasn’t even going to bother with the remains of his cabinet outfit. The jacket was nowhere to be seen, the trousers were soaked with equal amounts of blood and alcohol, and the shirt was more soot than polyester. Gently, she asked what had happened to the suit jacket, to which Tubbo’s gaze suddenly found the floor very interesting. “We, uh- We may have- have burnt it.” To his surprise, Thalia just laughed. No, this was going straight in the bin - she didn’t think it would be worth the time looking for salvageable parts, and what would she be preserving? A claret-stained nightmare. The costume of the public execution of a child. She sent them on their way with Tubbo back in his old attire, thanking some nameless deity that he’s chosen a button-up way back when, and wondering if she should just finish the job and burn the rest of the suit. Apparently the hoodie was Tommy’s though. She thought about making him a spare. She had even more free time then.
The next time she saw Tommy, she gave it to him. His demeanour had changed - his jaw was set, brow permanently furrowed. He thanked her for the hoodie, paid, and then politely informed her not to leave her house next Monday. She knew that look even before he said it: war was once more returning to their little corner of the world. She had to catch herself before she said ‘about time.’
Atop her perch in the sky, she watched. From far away, it was somewhat of a peaceful experience. Morbid to think that, she felt. Men were literally dying, but their final shouts didn’t reach her roost on the side of her own chimney stack. No, she sat serenely enjoying an extraordinary evening with a mug of tea, watching a nation burn and erupt in the distance, and wondering where she went so wrong to be watching a war involving people she cared about like a spectator at the coliseum. How foolish, to not take sides. To not stand for anything, falling for no one and thinking herself superior to it all. When she asked others why they chose their grey or green hills to die on, why was she surprised when they scorned her? When Wilbur insulted her for being, as he designated her, a centrist, why did she feel righteous in that stance? When given the choice between doing what was good, and what was easy, Thalia chose easy. She considered all of the times she had Tubbo tentatively explaining the ins and outs of the Manberg cabinet to her, and she thought of being in the second row to his execution. Guilt. Guilty of playing the game without putting anything to chance. Guilty of losing it all anyway.
As she stood to swear to change to the dying rays of daylight, an explosion like none she’d ever felt rocked the land beneath the buildings, and from the corner of her eye, a dust cloud of debris and dirt rose over L’Manberg. Crashes resonated from within her house, and her uneven footing on the roof tiles did her no favours. She slipped, sliding painfully down the slant of her roof and being dumped unceremoniously in her garden, and when she shot up in bed, the only thing marking her death point was the shattered mug of tea watering the plants.
When she considered ‘rebirth from a kind of death’, she didn’t mean literally, but earth-shattering revelations aside, her guilt and newly-discovered impetus drove her onto the streets, looking for the wounded and helpless, offering her services where she could. She met Niki in the rubble, so exhausted and weary she could barely speak of what happened. She didn’t make her say it again. She had already heard a million times who lived and who died. She sewed up a long gash on Niki’s forearm and thanked whichever higher power was listening that her skills were transferable. When the moon was high in the sky and the injured all moved on, she sat alone in the rubble, mending a L’Manberg flag with scraps of cloth left over from the makeshift bandages of the medic station. Someone approached behind her, offering a scrap of yellow material, “I thought you didn’t involve yourself in our affairs.” Tubbo’s voice was slightly hoarse, but it had this newfound drive to it, like he was a man on a mission. “Yeah, well,” She said without looking up. “Something about devils and idle hands.”
He laughed quietly, sitting down on a rock just inside her field of vision. He was in his civilian wear, but the scuzzy outlines of tight pieces of armour were marked into his clothes, like he was still wearing protective gear. Bandages peeked around his sleeves and neckline. He cleared his throat, he wants something made.
“I know it’s been a- a hectic night, but I’d like to put in an order. Of a sort.” She didn’t bother replying, just waited in the still night air. “Wilbur said-” She saw the slight shiver run down his spine too. “He said he’d left a suit for me once. And- And I’m going to need it.” “So it’s true, then.” Similarly to her, he didn’t dignify the obvious with a response. “You’re going to be the next president.” “I- I actually already am.” She glanced up from her needlework, “Tubbo, you’re sixteen.” He met her eyes, and at that moment, she saw someone far too old for the body he was inhabiting. “I know.” A quiet admission that still rang out in the crater. “I know. But someone has to do it. Tommy’s still got unfinished business with the discs and Wilbur-” He frowned. “Well, he’s the whole reason this place has gone to shit as of late.” He opened his arms, gesturing at the destruction all around, the buildings half-crumbled into the basin, the sharp edges of plumbing and electricity mains jutting out into nothing, the lake seeping into a muddy pond. “Someone has to pull this place back together.” He shrugged. “Why not?” “You’re sixteen.”
And so it was that she would be back in her sewing room, adjusting the suit of a man to make it fit a boy, her hands shaking so badly at times she had to put down her work and go outside for fresh air. It wasn’t right. It wasn’t fair. And there weren’t shit she could do about it.
It was hard to admit that she lost someone. Others lost a brother, a son, a best friend. President, co-worker, treasured companion. Previously, she would have been afraid to associate with them.
And then, there was the version of him that others struggled to reconcile their friend with: the smooth-talking man with the explosives. The charismatic leader that made a deal with a smiling devil, or something. The demo man. The recently-made anarchist. The terrorist.
One day, there was a light knock at the door.
Suitably, it was rhythmic, soft, tentative almost, in an “I’ll come back later if- if now is a bad time-” kind of way, as Thalia nearly broke another teacup opening the door. Tubbo had been there that morning, getting a last adjustment to his new suit. Inexplicably, there was another (former) government official outside her front porch. His skin was a light grey, his hair shedding soot when he tilted his head, and his once-piercing eyes were dulled. He wore a rather ratty looking yellow jumper and black jeans with rips (from wear and tear) at the knees, and Thalia froze completely when he appeared on her doorstep. She’d heard the stories and rumours: President Soot’s graceless demise, how he gave his nation to Tubbo before blowing it to smithereens, how he asked his own father to eliminate him after hitting the kill button. She’d tossed and turned at night, feeling a kind of misplaced guilt for L’Manberg - ‘if only I’d cared’ or ‘if I’d done more’ - and imagining the conversation she’d have with him if ever he darkened her door again.
But all of her speeches died in her throat. Her scripts burned. There is no malice, or cunning, or destruction in those eyes. And if she’s being honest, she knew what his response would be.
“I thought you didn’t care.”
He isn’t accusing her, but he might as well be. He speaks so softly, sips daintily from his tea, taps his foot to an imaginary rhythm. He is everything and nothing like the man she remembers coming to her home in the night for a new coat.
“I- I did. I just-” She grimaced. “Didn’t have the wherewithal to- to join in.” “And you do now?” She looked away. Her back ached again, like it had been almost every day since she died in the shockwave of the explosion. Set off by the man on her other sofa. Funny how things are. “Something like that.”
“You should come to New L’Manberg some time.” He said, filling a small stretch of awkward silence. “See what we’ve built there.” “I should,” She echoed in a small voice. They sat in an oppressive silence for a full minute, counted out by the rhythmic ticking of the clock in the hallway, before they both spoke at the same time, “Look-”
Their eyes met, mirrored apologies building in the space between them. “I know it seems hypocritical for me to invite you to see what we’ve been building in L’Manberg when I- well, Alivebur was the one to tear it down,” Ghostbur spoke first, lines creasing his forehead, as he rocked his feet back and forth with nervous energy and gripped his teacup hard. “I don’t have all my memories from being alive, especially the bad ones, but- well, I can’t not know what he did. I- I’m really sorry, for L’Manberg. I would never have done that. I guess I wasn’t… me.” Thalia watched him carefully, noting the way his eyes didn’t lift from the floor, unable to meet hers and own up for what he’d done, through no malicious intent or misplaced self-confidence. Unlike herself.
“I think I’m the last person you need to apologise to, Wil- Ghostbur.” Imperceptibly, he nodded his agreement, ashamed in every fibre of his being without understanding why. He tilted his head further forward and a handful of ash previously contained in his hair fell away like a mist descending on her carpet. They frowned at it in tandem, the serious atmosphere of the room blown away on a light autumnal breeze, already tinged with the early chill of a harsh winter approaching.
“S-Sorry, a-about that.” He fought to suppress the smile, but one glance at her and they matched. “Actually, you’ve reminded me of something. Wait here a second.” She stood quickly from the sofa and went into her storeroom, darted between mannequins and chairs equally draped in half-finished garments, and retrieved what she had been meaning to give to Ghostbur since she’d caught the edge of a rumour that Soot had left more than a tattered legacy behind.
Thalia’d been busy. She’d been busy, and yet not busy enough to keep her hands from idling. So she’d found new things to occupy them.
It was made of soft, grey wool, the colour patchy in parts, like it was spun from a mountain cascading stones. She hadn’t really worked with wool before, so she hoped it would fit okay. There was a label sewn haphazardly to the inside, betraying noviciality and hands that rarely stopped shaking anymore. It read: ‘from your friend, Thalia’ in bleeding marker against a muted brown scrap of thin leather.
As she shuffled back into her living room, the muscles in her back twinged again as she caught sight of him again, her body pulling her consciousness by the wrist and forcing her to empathise with the ghost whose yellow jumper was stained with shimmering blood that flickered in and out of reality. He rose from her sofa, floating almost, hands meeting hers in the middle and receiving her gift.  “For me?” His voice rose like ashes from a fire, floating and turning and getting lost on the way to his next destination before falling back on track again. “Thalia, I- How did you… know?” She smiled plainly, “A man must always be his best dressed, right? It’s yours. Please, the measurements are very particular. If I got them right.”
Fulfilling her next request before she could query it, he pulled the beanie over his head. It fit snugly but comfortably, letting a few stray curls poke out at the front. He tilted his head back and forth, balancing an invisible crown, watching the surrounding air for falling soot. When none came, he shook his head, stopped, laughed, and did it again. Thalia watched, grinning, her hands clasped before her as her midriff felt like it could rip itself open and just watching him made her dizzy and-
Since being ‘blown to kingdom come’ and then also thoroughly withered, L’Manberg had developed a rather particular smell. It may have been part-lingering sulfur, but it wasn’t all bad. Florists provided portable meadows, and bakers gave small portions of their wares to sweetening the air, but it was the lake - or rather lagoon - beneath L’Manberg, rising and falling with the tides that scented the air with the aroma of seaweed and a small sprinkling of salt. Fresh smells. Good smells.
“You smell like L’Manberg.” “I- What?” Her nose was pressed against his neck as she hung limply where he caught her, just a hint of role reversal. “You smell like L’Manberg,” She repeated slowly, speech slightly slurred. “Like flowers blooming in a crater.”
He was cold with clammy skin, unsteady as the flame of a candle, flickering violently in a strong breeze. They stood as best as they could, one incorporeal at times and the other dizzy and sick with reopened injuries and a fresh mental fog. “You’re not bleeding as well, are you?” “...What?” “Like I did, when you caught me.” He swung his head, flipping the hair out of his eyes and trying to look in hers, unfocused as they were. “I remember, I remember that. When I- Alivebur was here, and he was bleeding, and you caught him - just like this! I remember that, when you did that for me- him, because it was a good memory. Because I knew you… you cared-”
With her mind addled as it was, it took a few moments for her to register the words, and a few more for their meaning to come across. “Look, Ghostbur,” She cleared her throat several times, rehearsed speeches and rants and apologies all taking their turn on the end of her tongue. “That was- That was the last time I ever saw you. Him. And I need to say something to him for a moment.” He nodded slowly, digesting. “Well, he’s in here somewhere. Supposedly.” He tried for a smile.
“Wil, that night, here, was the last time we ever spoke. I saw you at the Festival, I watched you lead an army into war a month after that, and the next thing I knew, you were already gone. If it were really you here, I think this conversation would pan out a- a little differently.” She sighed, sagging a little more in Ghostbur’s arms. “I don’t know what made you lay however many stacks of TNT below Manberg. I don’t know why you set it off, or why you, well, committed suicide after. I don’t know if I can truly say I knew you. Nor can I say I know myself anymore.” She closed her eyes. “But I wish you were still here. I still have your uniform; y’know how you told me to keep it nice for you? I made you a hat, I- I changed. I’d be on your side now. I’d fight for your cause. I realised where I was wrong, and I can’t believe you died because you owe me an ‘I told you so’.” It was like she had run out of words. There was more she wanted to say: she could spend an eternity rambling and never make up for her apathy. “The you that I knew was right. I stood for nothing. I died for nothing. And I’m sorry… And for the record, I would’ve voted Pog2020. So I’m sorry for that too… One percent and everything…”
Silence, true silence settled over them, lingering peacefully for maybe a minute: Thalia drifting in and out of true consciousness didn’t exactly help with her time-keeping, but the ticking of the clock in the hall marked the passing of enough time to be vaguely disconcerting. Ghostbur’s embrace was warmer than she recalled it being, and she tipped her head back to look at his face, gauge his reaction, and she froze. “To be clear, I never thought you were lazy.” When he spoke, his pitchy tone remained, but his eyes were swimming with warmth too, and there was that characteristic glint in them, accompanied with a smile.  “Oh, and I told you so.” It was him.
Warm arms encircled her properly for the first time since she’d leapt from a ship to the sands of a brand new world, far from a place called childhood. She wasn’t a hugger, but she made exceptions for close friends. “You’re bleeding through your jumper.” “I know.” She made no attempt to move.
Her name was Thalia, and she was completely apolitical and didn’t care for anyone on the server at all. And that, was a lie.

Ghostbur tapped his feet against the ground, creating a rhythmic sound that made him smile. His shoes made such a nice sound against the blackstone bricks, he thought. Wait... blackstone? Where was there blackstone?
He checked his surroundings. Oh! The nether hub! Why was he here again? He didn't remember. He walked over to the edge, thinking maybe if he saw whatever he was here for it would jog his memory, but all he saw was lots of lava.
He looked down. "You know, someone could fall down there. Maybe someone should build a fence," he said absent mindedly, before heading back through the portal. He had many books to read back home! And lots of people to speak with
-----
The nights seemed to last longer every time Tommy tried to sleep. He turned over in bed, knocking against the white wool that made up the sides of his tent. This sent rainwater cascading down from the thin material, soaking him.
"MMMMMM, FUCK!" Tommy yelled, sitting up. If he couldn't sleep before, he certainly wouldn't be able to now. He got up out of bed and stepped outside the tent. This, of course, only served to expose him to more rain, but he hardly cared. He needed some fresh air.
He marched across the beach down to logstedshire, but paused at the enterence. What was the point in going in? It was empty anyway- Wilbur was back in L'manburg, he had been for days. He turned around to walk in the other direction, mud splashing against his shoes.
As he walked he thought of Tubbo. He was so impossibly angry about his banishment, and he knew it was Tubbo who gave the order, but he couldn't bring himself to hate them. He would have loved to point his finger at Dream, or George, or anyone else for that matter, but what would be the point in that? It's not like he could fight back, he had nothing, and so he was left with only one man to blame it on- himself.
He moved a lock of soaked hair away from his eyes. Burning down George's house was probably the thing he regretted most in all his time here. He wished more than anything that he could go back and just not do it- but what's the point in wishing? He's already been exiled. He may as well put up with it.
The splash of his shoes against the wet ground slowed to a stop. He may as well... put up with it. He sniffed, and moved his hands upward to his face. May as well put up with it. He looked at them through the darkness, they were shaking, and covered in small bruises and scratches he'd collected while scavenging. Put up with it. Rain blurred his vision, and his hands became two unidentifiable blobs that faded into the rest of the dark. Put up with it. The rain was so cold- why did he come out here? Put up with it. He shook his head, sending droplets flying off of his hair in every direction. Put up with it. He was shivering. Put up with it. Put up with it. Put. Up. With. It.
His knees buckled and he fell to the ground with a pained yell. His tears mixed with the rain as he cried out every name he could think of. He wanted them back! He wanted L'manburg back! He just wanted to go back- why was he here? Why did he have to be away from everyone?
"QUCKITY!" He sobbed. "Wilbur! FUNDY! Please! PLEASE! TUBBO! TUBBO PLEASE!" But he knew none of them could hear him. They were a thousand blocks away, sleeping soundly. They were all together- happy, and at home. "Tubbo... Tubbo please..."
But what was the point in yelling for people who couldn't hear him anyway? He put his head in his hands as his crying got quieter and quieter- he tried to wipe his face dry, but his hands were just as wet. "Fuck this rain."
He got up, and trudged over to his nether portal. As soon as he stepped in the rain evaporated off of him; he was warm and dry, at least, but still not ready to go back to his tent. His bed was covered in rain anyway, so what would be the point of going back?
He chose a random direction and walked some more, not really caring where he ended up. He couldn't stop thinking... Tubbo really did choose appeasing Dream over him. He really did say the discs were meaningless. How many days had it been? It didn't matter, he still couldn't believe it anyway. He hardly believed he was out here alone... how could that happen?
He had a secret world in his heart. A world where Wilbur never died, and Techno never fought against L'manburg. A world where he had all of his discs, and he listened to them with Tubbo at the end of every day while they watched the sunset. Sometimes he retreated to that world when the real one became too harsh... but he always had to come back.
He was standing in the middle of the nether hub, right outside the portal to the community house. He noticed that he was still shivering, which was odd. The nether is so hot.
He swished his hand through the purple smoke of the portal. On the other side... was a world he was no longer a part of. His brother who betrayed him, and his brother who died. His best friend, who stabbed him in the back. His discs, in the hands of people he didn't trust, and his nation so far alienated from its original purpose that he could hardly call it L'manburg.
He moved his hand back out, purple dust swirling around his fingers for a few moments. He thought for the first time... maybe he didn't want to be a part of that world anyway. He retreated back to the world in his heart... that was the world that was his true home.
He closed his eyes as he walked out of the main portal room, and down the suspended blackstone bridge. He could see Tubbo... no longer in a stuffy suit acting all important, but in his ussual green button down. They were laughing. Tommy smiled, still walking, eyes still closed, and began to laugh as well.
Wilbur was there. He was alive, and sane. Phil and Techno were there too... and Quckity, and Fundy, and Niki, and everyone. And they were all laughing. Tommy's feet stumbled about over the path, landing sloppily against the blackstone, laughing so hard he almost lost his balance. He laughed, and laughed, and-
His eyes shot open. As his weight shifted from one foot to the other, he realized there was nothing beneath it. He tipped backwards, body falling towards the lava put hundred of blocks below. He gasped, and just as quickly as the realization that he wouldn't survive set in, and hand wrapped around his wrist, and he was pulled back onto the bridge.
Dream.
"Tommy! What are you doing? Its 4 am, and you just- are you ok? What are you laughing at?" His voice was higher than ussual, strained by panic.
Tommy caught his breath. "I didn't..." his eyes met Dream's. "Did I just..."
It was clear his mind was racing, and he had no idea what to say. Dream sighed. "You need to be more careful, this is the nether." He shut his eyes tight and pinched the bridge of his nose, trying to recollect his thoughts. "Do you want me to walk you back home?"
Tommy looked up at him. Home.
For a moment- just a moment, less than a second- he thought he meant the home he'd imagined, but before he said yes it all came rushing back. He didnt mean home. He didnt mean L'manburg where everyone he cared about was- he meant the place he was exiled to. To the world he didn't want to live in.
His faced scrunched up with frustration as he faced the Green Man, hate burning in his eyes. He did want to go home. But he didn't have one anymore.
He looked at him- he symbolized every aspect of this world he hated. But then he closed his eyes, and he was back in his L'manburg. "Where did you go, Tommy?" His Wilbur asked him. "Let's all go back to the van- I'll play us a song!" He smiled again.
"Tommy?" Dream asked, but Tommy didn't hear. Tommy wasn't a part of his world anymore.
"There he is!" Tubbo called. "Hey big man! Come on, you're late!" He slowly picked up a foot, swinging it backwards ever so slowly. Dream didn't notice.
"I'm coming, Tubbo," Tommy whispered. "What?" Dream asked. "I'm coming home."
His foot was back, dangling over the lava again. He shifted his weight to it, and with a smile, he made his choice. He'd never have to leave his world again. He was finally home.
"TOMMY!" Dream shouted, lunging forward with arms outstretched. He missed, just barely, and the teen fell over the edge of the bridge, plummeting down, down, down... Dream wasted no time, biting into a god apple and throwing himself down after him, but as they both reached the bottom it was too late. He wasn't able to hold his body over the lava, and after a few minutes of struggling, there was nothing recognizable left- just blood that ran down both of Dream's arms and stained his white mask.
He couldn't breath- what had he just witnessed? How had he failed? Was it his fault? Guilt and nausea began to set in as he floated there- alone in the lava. A killer in a way he never could have imagined he would be. He felt sick.
-----
Ghostbur returned to the nether the next morning- netherwart! That's what he needed! He stepped through the portal, only to find Dream waiting on the other side.
"Hello Dream!" He greeted with a smile. "I'm here for some netherwart so I can make more potions!"
Dream didn't answer him, he must be busy. Ghostbur's eyes danced around the hub- what would be the best direction to go?
"Wilbur..." Dream choked out.
"Yes?" The ghost replied.
"Tommy is dead..."
"Who?" He asked in his high, scratchy voice. He ambled care free down the path, dragging his hand across the walls that lined the edges. "Oh! They've added barriers! How handy!" He exclaimed to himself

C!schlatt- executed
I got lots of DMs asking for more angst so here
* You and schlatt get into an argument about him being president and executing tubbo ect, in a drunken rage he stabs you.
*Woah this is the longest thing I've ever written.
It all started when Fundy tipped you off about schlatts plans of executing tubbo for helping Wilbur and Tommy out, which you knew about ofc. You treated tubbo like one of your own and even sometimes helped him sneak out the Whitehouse without schlatt knowing; but killing tubbo over that broke you. You had to say something to hopefully put a stop to your husband's madness and his drinking. God did you hate how much he drunk, it drove you nuts.
You- he's just a boy. (Get the reference...)
Schlatt- I. Don't.give a fuck. He's. Traitor
You- do you blame him schlatt? Him and Tommy are close brothers even he probably felt terrible about what happend you know when you-
Schlatt- oh well should of thought I'd that before helping that that CHILD. HE'S MY RIGHT HAND MAN HE HAD ALL THE POWER AMD NOW and now he's going to pay the price and it's an expensive price to pay.
You walked over to the window and stood looking out into manburg. Just thinking about how you can save the poor boys life. How  could warn him without schlatt finding out? you came to nothing. You and schlatt were married you were first lady, wherever you went he went. You were in a deep thought about tubbo and what his death would mean to the server when quackity quietly Knocked on the dark oak door.
Quackity- uh boss I hate to interrupt but you have a meeting in 20 minutes down at the twitch prime church.
Schlatt sighed. Stood up off his chair and walked over to you, but not before grabbing the bottle. Schlatt got super close to your face, so close you could see the little wrinkles that had developed around his eyes and forehead since becoming president, your nose scrunched under the smell of alcohol from his breath or from his clothes you honestly couldn't tell anymore.
Schlatt- we will no longer speak on the matter. I AM THE PRESIDENT FOR MANBURG WHAT I SAY GOES.
He slaunted away from you pushing past quackity. Quackity gave you a sad smile as you both knew how mean schlatt could get when he drank, and recently he had been drinking alot. Quackity turned towards the open door to make sure schlatt was outta ear distance.
Quackity- go.
You- huh?
Quackity- I told Phill that you would be seeing him thecno Wilbur and Tubbo in the bunker. Go warn them.
You- i- hhhh thank you quackity I love you so much man.
Quackity- I know I know. Hurry because it looks like we are going to be in for along night if schlatt messes up this meeting
You- he's so drunk he can't even walk straight of course he's going to ok I'll run along I'll take the horse to speed things up.
Quackity quickly shut the door before running to where schlatt would be waiting downstairs for the meeting while you grabbed your axe and saddle. You made your way out the escape hatch in your office and found your horse (name your horse here pls comment the names I wanna see what y'all name your animals)
Horse- neyyyy
You- heyyyy boy shhh it's just me ok ok steady ok I'm getting on 3...2...1... And uppp fewww ok not so bad is it (horse name) ok off to warn Tubbo.
Your horse stamped it's hooves and took off for the bunker. You had ridden this path hundreds of time so it was easy for you and the horse to get to, quackity said he already told Phill about your arrival do he should be waiting for you to turn up. You were right because Wilbur was waiting outside for you to arrive. His usual green jacket and black Beanie on his head.
Wilbur- hey y/n in here look you can rest (horse name) in here Niki built it.
You- Niki joined? Awesome o haven't seen her in so long, well since she messed up the soup and schlatt fired her
Wilbur- how is he by the way y/n? Come inside and we can talk about him later or should I say rant
You- true true.
You walked through the entrance carefully, you had fallen down the rails the first few times Wilbur took you here. Over his presidential campaign you and wilbur had actually been pretty close and luckily kept in contact even though schlatt won. SBI was a group you practically grew up with just not enough for Phill to adopt you, but you don't blame him, you wouldn't fit the dynamic plus your parents didn't really like the idea but they never really liked anything you did.
Phill- oh hey y/n were all down here what do you want to talk about quackity said it was urgent so I called a meeting.
You got to the bottom of the steps to find everyone waiting on the floor for you to arrive. By everyone I mean: Phill, Tubbo, Tommy, Niki, thecno. You waved at Niki who had changed her hair colour since you saw her last she waved back with a huge smile on her face but a hint of sadness in your eyes. You had changed so much, you just look exhausted which was not wrong.
You- oh um yes hi everyone, sorry to be so blunt but uhhh there is no better way to say this. Tubbo is in grave danger. Schlatt is planning to...
Your hands started to shake vigorously, you felt dizzy, you wanted to throw up. Almost as if your body is warning you about doing this right now it's screaming at you to not betray your husband of four years like this but you have to.
Tommy- planning what y/n spit it out?
Niki- hey, y/n it's ok shhh Tommy what schlatt planning in doing to Tubbo?
You- he's PLANNING TO EXECUTE you tubbo. He knows, I don't know why or how but he knows about all of this and your his right hand man he's going to kill you tubbo, hang you for tertiary. I'm so sorry I-
Tommy- Tubbo? No? You can't die not now
Thecno- all our plans. Just gone.
Phill- he can't hang tubbo he's just a boy.
At this point you were sobbing now. Full on ugly crying. Your heart physically hurt from all the angst and the possibility of Tubbo dying. Your knees gave out on the floor as you wept for the young boy and he was still alive. The others argued in the back as to what to do. Tommy grabbed Tubbo and hugged him, Wilbur was crying over the threat of danger even thecno was a little on edge.
You- I'm sorry. But I must go I can't I can't stay im sorry.
Phill- it's ok. Thank you for warning us sport.
With that you climbed the stairs thinking about nothing honestly. You were numb. Your husband was going to murder someone you looked as your brother for years what did this mean for you? You were also helping them did he know about that? How did he know about tubbo's tretariy? You got on the back of your horse and rode back to manburg.
Climbing up the shoot to your office was miserable. You felt miserable, confused and alone. You had no idea how long you were sat in your chair looking at the chipped desk until the door was slammed open hitting the wall with a lud bang. You didn't need to look up to know it was your husband. Even before marriage he always slammed doors open like they were nothing.
Schlatt- what's got you all down in the dumps? HM sweetheart?
You- you know what and don't call me that.
You crossed your arms still refusing to make eye contact with the ram hybrid. This really pissed him off. He however pissed you off more by calling you sweetheart which to some would seem sweet but you knew schlatt better. This time was dripping in sarcasm because he was mind fucked drunk by now not caring about anyone or anything. Schlatt waddled up to your desk and stood right on front of you, still not looking up at him you pulled out some paperwork and started to mindlessly sign it.
Schlatt- me YOUR PRESIDENT just signed a huge deal with badboyhalo.what is wrong with you recently huh? Cats got your tounge ok what about pig hybrid got your tounge? Or angel of death got  your tounge or exhild child got your tounge?
You froze. He did know.
Schlatt- AHH struck a nerve, don't stop signing MY papers dear you are my wife after all.
You- no. Fuck you schlatt you can't hang the poor boy he's so young and innocent what was he supposed to do? You know I have to sign paperwork before you do anything and I won't sign off on it.
You threw your pen at schlatt in a rage. You didn't see if it hit him to enraged to care, papers were ripped, you there everything off your desk onto the floor. Schlatt just stood there blank expression not saying anything to you.
You- fuck you schlatt you don't control me.
You picked up the photo of you and schlatt on your wedding day. You ponderd on it for a second before stomping up to schlatt and shoving the picture on his face.
You- look at it. LOOK AT US LOOK HOW HAPPY I WAS NOW LOOK AT ME? DO I LOOK HAPPY TO YOU? OR DO I LOOK EXHAUSTED? STRESSED? because I am all of them things being married to you schlatt you are a terrible president and you have no power you're a pussy and won't face your problems like a real man.
Schlatt picked up the bottle of vodka and downed the whole lot you just stood there absolutely raging over this man's attitude and willingness to just disregard everyone in his life.
Schlatt- I DONT CARE HOW YOI FEEL I DONT CARW ABOUT ANYONE NOT EVEN QUACKITY OR MY WIFE. I AM THE BEST PRESIDENT MANBURG HAD EVER SEEN AND YOU WILL OBAY THE RULE OF SCHLATT. I KNOW YOU HAVE BEEN HELPING THE FUCKERS AND YOU WILL SUFFER JUST LIKE TUBBO, JUST LIKE TOMMY, JUST LIKE DREAM YOU WILL PAY THE PRICE FOR YOUR CRIMES. AGAINST. YOUR COUNTRY. AGAINST. YOUR PRESIDENT.
With every word schlatt got closer and closer to you. Terrified of schlatt, becoming increasingly more angry to the point his horns have grown pitch black out of pure hatred. You moved back as far as you could against the glass in your office. Schlatt pressing you up against it with his body but this time shoving a finger in your face and still yelling about how incompetent you are as a wife and as a person.
Suddenly you felt a stabbing pain just above your heart. You look down to see a black colour sword through your chest and red blood gushing out onto your clothes and floor ( ok the sword is still in so in irl not a lot of blood would actually escape unless the object was removed top tip but for theatrics blood eveywhere) you weakly reach up to grasp the blood covers wrist of schlatt to pull the sword out but to no avail as you suddenly feel super dizzy and everything goes black.
Quackity- she's.... She's.....y/n's dead
Quackity heard you and schlatt yelling in his office when silence happend. He knew this was a bad sign and anxiously walked to schlatts office with shaky hand. He got close enough to hear a loud thud and XP drop on the ground. He ran back to his office to think when schlatt walked by ( in this his office is made.of glass) staring at his hands, suit all covered in blood. His heart dropped and ran back to the office to collect your stuff, running on adrenaline he ran all the way the he bunker to tell the others. No time for him to cry yet he was still in shock over what just happened.
Niki- no no no no pls say your lying pleas no no not y/n
Niki dropped to her knees sobbing and rocking backwads and forwards much like you did less than three hours ago when you came to warn the crew. You were her friend and was the only person who helped her when she was working for schlatt at the white house.
Wilbur- no no why how? Pls no?
Wilbur and you were probably the closest, he found you in the forest over 12 years ago chasing after foxes and collecting berries Wilbur always wanted a younger sibling as this point Phill only had thecno and Wilbur.
Phill- oh no poor y/n.
Tommy- what the fuck how?
Phill when he first saw you recognised you emidiatly looking much like your father. However he knew the man and knew what he was like so he had no problems when you visited them for tea many nights a week. He did think about adopting you right after Tommy arrived as you looked after him so well. Crafting him many clothes and many pumpkin pies. So so so many he always asked Phil if he had the recipe as he knew you couldn't make them as frequently as you used to.
Everyone was going to miss you greatly they just didn't expect to see you at the festival but now as ghosty/n. All your tries and efforts were in vain. Manburg still got blown up. But you did make good friends with Ghostbur. Glatt knew off you but was too embarrassed to see you.
Ugh ok this took me over two hours to write non stop. I just got this idea and ran with it omg I got so carried away. As of now probably my fav story.

Hello Jade ! it’s 🍒 again but could you write little!ranboo with cgs!tubbo and tommy? for plot maybe ranboo has been stressed with syndicate meetings, but when he wakes up regressed he’s confused because he’s never done it before. he becomes overwhelmed and scared so he gets tubbo. tubbo understands but has never been a cg so he calls tommy (tommy has been a cg to wilbur before) so tommy comes over, him and tubbo take care of ranboo. maybe they play hide and seek / tubbo carrying ranboo thanks!
Sorry this took me a while to get to!! It came out a lot more angsty than usual, so- beware of that.
Tw: described panic attack that ends after ——, Shame about regression, believing you aren’t deserving to regress
Ranboo rolled over in his bed and stuffed his face into the pillow, shaking his head some to burrow it in more. He pulled his blanket closer and hummed into whatever was in his arms. He whined when a piston went off somewhere and burrowed his face into the thing he was holding, which was a grass plush. He looked up once the sound was over and carefully got up, trying to find something to eat, but wobbled too much to get all the way to the fridge. He just sat down on the floor and whined to himself, going to bite his nails. He looked around for something to get, too tired, he thought, to really think. Which meant he couldn’t do anything, which sucked. He knew he had stuff to do today! He had meetings!! He had to tell Techno that Quackity was being mean!! He wasn’t supposed to be tired now!
Ranboo rubbed at his face with his sleeves to try and get the water off his face, staying on the ground as he got a message from his little communicator.
Tubbo. Tubbo was supposed to- Tubbo-
Ranboo’s Brain was far too foggy to read and he was absolutely not telling Tubbo about this of all things. So, he just slid it to the side and went from chewing on his nails to sucking on his thumb, trying to calm himself down about the meeting by reasoning with himself, which was usually the opposite of what actually happened, like this time, where he just catastrophized himself into a corner.
His communicator was an awful background noise to the whole thing as he finally got the energy to get up and start pacing around, still wobbly but needing to move in some way. He almost tripped so many times but he managed.
——
Someone knocked on the door and opened it anyway, “Why’re you ignoring me!” Tubbo joked as he knocked on the ladder downstairs, expecting Ranboo to be busy.
Ranboo let out a little whimper, shaking his head out of guilt, not getting that Tubbo was joking.
Tubbo heard the noise and ran upstairs with a laugh until he saw Ranboo and paused, “yo. You okay boss man?”
Ranboo shook his head and messed with his clothes, still pacing.
“Hey, hey.” Tubbo walked closer to him, “what’s wrong? What do you need?”
Ranboo shook his head again and rubbed at his face with his sleeves.
“Tissues?” Tubbo guessed.
“Nooo!” Ranboo Drew out in almost another whine, then looked down in what seemed like shame, still walking.
Tubbo rolled his eyes, “work with me dude.”
Ranboo made a softer version of aggressive noises he could make, still tearing up.
Tubbo sighed, “I’m calling Tommy, okay? Let’s get you to sit down, okay?”
Ranboo shook his head more.
Tubbo glanced at the block on Ranboo’s bed, “just mess with your blocks, man. I have to talk to Tommy.” Tubbo sent Tommy a message about it.
Ranboo begrudgingly went and grabbed the block, stuffing his face in it again. He continued to pace, holding the plush as tight as he could. He couldn’t remember where he got the plush from but he didn’t care, it was making him think a bit less and that helped.
Tubbo came out from the corner of the room and went over to Ranboo, “Hey, Ranboo, are you little?” He asked softly, trying to not be too alarming in case Tommy was right.
Ranboo just looked confused and shook his head, not even looking Tubbo’s way. Tubbo huffed and continued to text Tommy, “Tommy’s gonna come over to check on you, okay? He knows mental health stuff better than most of us, sadly.” Tubbo shrugged and went to the corner again
Tubbo looked around the room while Ranboo started to rock himself in place, singing to himself in light little noises.
Tommy eventually ran in and was clearly holding in his usual yells, “alright, what is this then?” He exaggerated his accent to try to cheer Ranboo up, maybe.
Tubbo sighed, “Ranboo’s being a downer- more than usual.”
Tommy watched Ranboo for a moment, then went over and tilted his head, “you scared, big man?”
Ranboo immediately shook his head and bit onto the plush, looking away from Tommy.
Tommy took a step back, “hey, hey, it’s fine.” Tommy turned to Tubbo, “he is *so* little. Tubbo, he’s literally babbling.”
Tubbo shrugged, “hey, I don’t know what it is.”
“It’s your husband!”
Tubbo sighed, “yeah, but you kinda need to tell me what to do ta- ya know- deal with it??”
Tommy rolled his eyes and shrugged, “I mean you have a kid right?”
Ranboo finally let out a little vwoop, glaring at the two’s heads.
“Sorry.” Tubbo mumbled.
“Just treat him like any other kid.” Tommy suggested.
Tubbo nodded confusedly and walked over to Ranboo, not looking up at Ranboo, “hey, big man, let’s sit on the ground, okay?”
Ranboo glanced down then carefully sat down, pulling his legs close to himself.
Tubbo smiled and laid on the ground, “you have no clue what being little is, huh?”
Ranboo shook his head.
“Well, neither do I. Tommy!” Tubbo got up and gestured for Tommy to sit down.
Tommy gave Tubbo a face then sat down in front of Ranboo. “Fine, fine.”
Tubbo smiled, “I’ll go get us food.”
Tommy and Ranboo just sat near each other for a bit, until Tommy spoke up, “sooo- regression.”
Ranboo mumbled something against the plush.
Tommy sighed and set his bag to the side and started unpacking it, “what’s a good way to phrase this... okay, okay, so you know how like, we all cope with the ssstuff that happened on the smp. The usually coping method is you know making a new country. Wonder what that says about Karl... anyway! A probably like- better one is what you’re doing, which is called, you guessed it, age regression!”
Ranboo was too tired to guess anything, trying to find a comfy spot to sit, but the floor was stone so that wasn’t happening.
“It’s like- you feel like a kid and you act like one? And it helps?” Tommy scrunched up his face, then shrugged, “Wilbur did it before... you know and like. It did calm him down some. He was really fun too, like how a puppy is fun for like the first 10 minutes, but drag it out for- I don’t know? An hour? Who cares, you get what I’m saying.”
Ranboo has absolutely no clue what Tommy was saying and just nodded, scooting closer for comfort.
Tommy rolled his eyes in mock annoyance and got close enough for Ranboo to lean on him, which he did. Tubbo came up with a bunch of crackers and things to go with it, “yooo?”
Tommy shrugged with his free shoulder and held out his hands for the food.
Tubbo set the plate in front of the two.
Tommy looked over at Ranboo, “we should get you regression things.”
Ranboo shook his head, “no nee’.”
Tommy rolled his eyes, “do.”
“No”
“You do.”
“M-m.”
“Ranboooo, come on, big man. You can’t tear your plushies to shreds.”
Ranboo pulled his mouth far away from where he was biting it, pouting and whining.
Tommy snorted, “you know I’m right.”
Ranboo shook his head, “won’ b’ b’b.”
“Huh.” Tubbo asked mid bite.
“You’re almost definitely going to be a baby again. We should be prepared for that, at least a little bit, you know?”
Ranboo stuffed his face in the plush again, “nooooo-“
Tommy huffed, “why not?”
“Go’a ‘tay biiig!” Ranboo bounced on of his legs.
Tommy shrugged, “you really don’t have to. Tubbo and I and like- your other friends can help watch you whenever.”
“Listen, if it helps you, poggers man.”
Ranboo made a loud screech and threw his plush to the wall, then ran over to his bed, getting on it and hiding under the blanket.
Tommy and Tubbo both stopped mid everything and watched Ranboo, confused as to why he was suddenly so agressive.
Tubbo took the grass plush and set it next to Ranboo on the bed. Ranboo got out of the blanket to take it and put the blanket back over. Tubbo sat in that spot and gently laughed as Ranboo immediately hugged him around the stomach. Tommy sighed and went over to the other side of Ranboo’s bed, “we’ll talk about it when you’re big. For now... how old you feel, big man?”
Ranboo shrugged and hugged Tommy’s arm, trying to hug both and the plush. Tommy messed up Ranboo’s hair, “you seem like a tiny little toddler.”
Tubbo smiled and rubbed Ranboo’s ring, “sooo, just about carrying age?”
Ranboo very audibly gasped and held his arms out.
Tubbo snorted, picking Ranboo up carefully, “there we go.”
Ranboo was immediately almost bouncing out of Tubbo’s grip out of joy. He babbled and vwooped out something neither one of them knew, but both cooed at the cute noise.
Ranboo kept babbling, pointing at things and telling them about whatever he felt like, trying to gesture to further elaborate, but at some point Tommy gave him a rattle (made from a little jar, beads, and a stick) and Ranboo gave up trying to make sense in favor of making as much noise as he could. Tubbo tried to respond as well as possible. Ranboo just enjoyed them both listening, almost talking himself back to sleep.
Tommy helped get Ranboo back in bed, “now I’m gonna get you more little toys, got it?”
Ranboo let out a good whine before shoving his face back into the grass plush.
Tubbo sighed and pet Ranboo, “you cool with me staying here?”
Ranboo nodded and gestured to Tommy with his shoulder, still nodding.
Tubbo took a breath, “we’ll be downstairs if you need anything. I’ll send Enderchest up.”
Ranboo let out a happy vwoop before genuinely trying to sleep.
“Night big man.” Tommy mumbled.
Tubbo pet Ranboo more, “Night, Ranboo. Love you.”

Where Loyalties Lie
(Technoblade X reader)
Tumblr media
Request 3: Can we get a little angsty fic or headcanon of Techno trying to get the reader to leave L’manberg?

“Tubbo please take a deep breath,” You followed him around the rubble as he paced restlessly.
“I’m president of a crater (Y/n)!” The boy pulled on his ears with a loud whine, “What am I gonna do. I can’t believe Wilbur blew it up-” He felt your hands touch his own and gently pull them away from his oversensitive goat ears. “What am I gonna do? I-I’m a kid…” You frowned, moving to cup his cheek with your hand. He nuzzled into it desperately, welcoming the comforting touch of someone who he considered family.
“You’re going to get through it because you’re strong.” You told him, “and so brave little ram.” He flushed pink letting out a whine of protest especially because he was still surrounded by most of his friends.
You watch as Quackity walked over to the both of you and placed his hand on Tubbo’s shoulder squeezing it, “We’ll rebuild. We’ll be right behind you Tubbo.” He smiled at the kid and you couldn’t help but smile over at him.
     “Thank you both. Truly.”
There was one thing that had you were worried you may come to regret, and that was not taking Technoblade’s hand as he fled from the country. You were close almost touching it, he looked like he wanted to beg for you too but one desperate cry from Tubbo had you pulling away. He looked heartbroken but at the same time, you saw understanding in his deep red eyes.
Family came first.
That day he pulled you close pressing a soft kiss on your forehead, “I’ll be back for you.”
You murmured a soft I’m sorry, turning to find Tubbo to make sure he wasn’t injured or dying. The thoughts of the festival replaying in your head, you couldn’t go through that...not again especially because now Tubbo was officially on his last life. Tommy couldn’t fathom how you didn’t blame Technoblade for what happened that day, but to you, two things were clear: one was that Tubbo didn’t blame him which made it easier on your end to forgive him; two Schlatt was manipulative and overwhelming as fuck you can’t blame someone for something they were peer pressured into doing. Speaking of Tommy you ended up finding Tubbo and him in the rubble that day, the taller male was pressing cloth to Tubbo’s bleeding arm desperately, when you took over and Tommy seemed grateful.
However, you had to push your possible regrets aside and focus on the new nation you’d help build, and build it you did. You worked endlessly for months on end creating a lovely new nation for people to live in, Tubbo had dubbed it New L’manburg. You felt his pride and happiness, he just loved seeing everyone together again and happy once again. Finally, the server felt somewhat normal after all that destruction, even if there was a Techno-shaped hole in your heart. Things changed rather quickly when Tubbo was, in your eyes, manipulated to exile Tommy by Dream. You had tried to argue for the boy saying that not only was he Tubbo’s friend but just a kid. You were shut down harshly by not only Dream but Tubbo as well, the look in his eyes was filled with so much loathing and frustration. It’s the first time he ever snapped and was harsh to you, you felt your own frustration bubble up in your chest. You turned on your heel and marched back up into your house, you were not going to put up with this behavior. When you slammed the door shut, and turned around to find Technoblade standing in your living room,  with your cat purring fondly on his shoulders; you almost screamed.
“Heh- why are you scared it’s just me?” The hybrid complained his nose scrunching up, “Don’t be cringe- oof-” Techno grunted as you threw your arms around his waist, the man flushed to the tips of his ears and looked away from you, Taffy hopped off his shoulders disgruntledly, “Yeah, yeah, I missed you too.” He pet the top of your head tenderly and you looked up at him with a smile.
“What’re you doing here Tech? If Tubbo finds out he’ll have your head.”
“Then I guess we’ll just have to make sure he doesn’t find me then huh?” He mused lips, quirking into a smile, and you nodded in agreement. “Other than that just running some errands. I’m in retirement now you know. I have to say that ‘New L’Manburg’ is certainly a name.” He did air quotes around the name and you nudged him,
     “Be nice.”
“Boo Cringe. I’m a Blood God starlight. I don’t do nice.”
“Bullshit,” You punched him in the arm, “Tea?”
“Please.” He cracked a smile as you walked over to your tea kettle heating the water and grabbing some tea bags.
“So, you came here to run some errands huh? I almost thought you missed me?” Technoblade shuffled a little behind you, how could you read him so perfectly? It was complete and utter bullshit. You heard him click his tongue distastefully behind you and you couldn’t help but smirk cheekily,
“Get off my back woman.” He stated gruffly as you laughed, “but I guess I do miss you a little bit.” You smiled fondly and softly cooed at him and he let out another scoff,
     “A little bit?”
“What is this interrogation? You a cop now?” You placed his tea in front of him and he took a sip,
“Yeah, we’re gonna need to do a strip search. Drop your pants.” Technoblade choked on his drink, face turning the darkest shade of red you’ve ever seen from him. You howled with laughter sliding down in your seat beside the man.
“I changed my mind. I didn’t miss you at all, you’re a terror.”
     “You love me, admit it.”
“Yeah, yeah, yeah.” He murmured looking at you with a sudden softness that was out of character for him. You didn’t notice the change but it was there, oh if only you knew how much of what you said was true. He did love you. He ran his tongue across his teeth and reached out to interlock your hands within his own.
     “Come live with me.”
     “Tech…”
“I’m in retirement now. I’m going to get some turtles hopefully, maybe some other pets while I’m at it. There’s a lot of room...It gets lonely all alone you know. It’d be nice to have you there with me.” He watched hesitance flicker across your face again just like the day Wilbur blew up L’Manburg. Your thoughts went to Tubbo and how much he needed you, especially now that Tommy was exiled. However, you were also brought back to a few moments ago where Tubbo snapped at you for trying to help. You took a ragged breath and pushed his hand away, he frowned sadly bringing his hand back down to his lap.
“I need to be here for Tubbo. He’s a kid Tech...way over his head. Dreams sniffing around him like a dog looking for his next victim to manipulate. I can’t let that happen, not to him. I know he’s President of this nation and you hate him for that, but he’s my brother and I love him. He’s a tough kid with a lot of fire, but I can’t just leave him in the dust. I love you,” You reached up and cupped his cheek and Technoblade felt his cheeks burn at the implication, “but I can’t leave until Tubbo is safe.”
“I’ll convince you one day.” Technoblade shot back even though his heart ached, that you wouldn’t be coming home with him. But Technoblade wasn’t known for giving up. He was stubborn as hell, he’d win you over yet. You’d come home with him, he’d confess to you and he’d make you the happiest person in the world. You just...didn’t know it yet.
“I’m excited for the day you do Tech.” You snickered softly, you both were startled by harsh knocking on the door.
“That’s my cue. See you soon Starlight,” Technoblade hummed slipping right out the window, you watched him go longingly. You shuffled towards the door and opened it slowly, on the front steps stood Tubbo who was rocking nervously on his feet.
     “Hi…”
“Hey LR...you okay?” Tilting your head to the side,
“Is LR supposed to stand for little ram?”
     “Problem?”
“No…I suppose not.” He murmured before clearing his throat and straightening his back, “I wanted to talk with you.”
“Oh?” You raised an eyebrow watching him nod his head sternly, you walked outside and closed the door behind you so you could lean on it. “Shoot,”
You watched as Tubbo swallowed thickly, “First off I’m sorry for yelling at you earlier. It wasn’t fair of me to snap.” He watched you nod a little urging him to continue, “however, I am the President now and you have to respect my authority.” Eyebrows furrowing together in frustration you opened your mouth to counter him but he held up his hand, “Dream has an idea of how to rule. He can steer me in a better direction-”
“Pardon me?” You let out a disbelieving laugh, “A better direction? Tubbo, are you forgetting everything we all fought for, we fought him for independence. He killed us!”
     “He might’ve changed!”
     “He exiled Tommy!”
“He deserved it!” Tubbo shouted back as your nose scrunched up, “He’ll steer me in a direction that you never could!” He snapped before realizing what he said, he slapped his hands over his mouth eyes widening to the size of saucers. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean that-”
     “Go home Tubbo.”
“(Y/n) please,” He reached out towards you and you held up your hand,
“Go reset the day. You need rest,” You frowned, turning back into the house “see you tomorrow.” Inside the house you shut the door on him and slid down onto the floor, you brought your hands to your mouth and swallowed thickly. A part of you wished Technoblade was still here just so he could tell you to get over yourself, he wasn’t skilled in the art of comforting others, but he could make you laugh. To keep yourself sane you reminded yourself that Tubbo was a child and needed you now more than ever, especially if he thought Dream was dishing out good advice. But you were hurt and a selfish part of you wished you could just go live in retirement with Technoblade and not worry about the new country forming, but you couldn’t ditch Tubbo.
Running a hand through your hair you sighed loudly, one might wonder what exactly could Tubbo do to make you listen to Technoblade’s offer. Honestly, you had no idea if anything would make you do that unless of course they just started executing people or something ridiculous like that.
Restless was how you’d describe the rest of your night, you tried to sleep but after a few hours of tossing and turning you gave up. You decided to make yourself a ‘healthy’ midnight snack, a small bowl of mac & cheese, you didn’t care, you were sad. You sighed softly scratching behind your cat’s ears, “It’s just you and me against the world Taffy isn’t it?” Her purrs rang in the air as she snuggled against your hand, distracting you just enough to swipe a noddle from your bowl. “You fat bitch!” You hissed as she ran off back up the stairs, you leaned back in your chair and sighed, literally nothing was going your way today. Just as you finished up your snack you heard a soft ping upon your window, turning to the sound you noticed your neighbor Phil awake in his house. He held up a hand and waved at you through it, and with a small smile, you waved back. He shuffled back into his home, I guess you both were insomniacs together, Techno knew how to pick a certain type of friend it seemed.
You walked back up to your bedroom and slid under the covers once more, maybe you were wrong and things were going to get better.
Months went by and nothing seemed to change much to your disappointment. Tubbo and you were still a little rocky, you had forgiven him for his harsh words but he always put Dream’s and even Quackity’s opinion before your own. When you came back from visiting Niki one day and saw wanted posters of Technoblade all around the country you almost had a stroke. You confronted Tubbo about it and only half answered you before running off when Quackity called him. That worried you, he normally didn’t like lying, especially not to you.
The same day you were walking into the market to get some fresh fruit when a hand shot out from the wanted poster and pulled you behind it. You were held flush against someone’s chest who chuckled gruffly, you recognized that chuckle anywhere. “Techno! What’re you doing here?” You asked looking up at him with eyes filled with concern, “don’t you know you’re a wanted man?”
“I think that just makes this all the more exciting.” Techno mused running his fingers through your hair, “Plus it’s not like anyone here can catch me.”
“Wrong I could catch you.” He dared to laugh in your face,
“Sure you could, and I’m half sheep.” Technoblade mused and he watched you huff cutely, “Don’t get all huffy at me you know I’m right.” You only waved him off, “seriously though I’m here to do some trading with Phil.”
“Oh…” You gave a nod, “Will I see you more frequently then?”
“You could see me all the time if you moved in with me.” Techno joked again and was surprised to see your face fall a little. Are you serious? Was he getting you to crack? “Starlight?”
“Ask me again in a few months and I might say yes,” You teased brushing the question off swiftly, Technoblade didn’t pry but he could tell you were almost convinced. Just what was going on in this country to make you want to leave your little brother? “Now shoo, go see Phil before he gives up on you.” You gave him a little shove and he stumbled off with a huff sticking his tongue out at you in the process.
After that encounter, you didn’t run into Technoblade for another very long stretch of time. About a month or so after that encounter, Tubbo had shown up at your doorstep a complete nervous wreck. He begged you to help him, claiming he needed diamonds for an upcoming project and wanted you to acquire them for him. “Tubbo I don’t understand why I need to go on this trip? I have diamonds I can just give you. You know I don’t care.”
“But I feel bad about it,” Tubbo argued with you “please just do this for me.”
“You know I’ll do anything for you. If you want me to get them this way I’ll do it. I should be back tonight is that okay? Do you need them sooner?” Tubbo looked relieved as he took your hands in his own,
“No tonight is perfect!” The boy chirped sounding more like himself than he has in months, you couldn’t help but smile. You ruffled his hair a little before kissing his forehead,
“Then tonight you shall have them, Little Ram.”
Tubbo helped you gather the materials you needed for a trip down into the mines, Tubbo even gave you some fire resistance potions. You thanked him for the potions before putting on your armor and heading down into the tunnels. As you were down in the mine the concept of time was always an illusion, so when you finally found diamonds for Tubbo and you left the cave you were surprised to see the sun was just setting. You hummed softly to yourself walking back into New L’manburg excited to show off to Tubbo you couldn’t help but wonder what he needed them for in the first place. However, when you entered town you were greeted by a gathering going on at the center. Everyone seemed to be there clad in what looked to be butcher’s outfits, your vibe was immediately thrown off eyebrows furrowing in concern. Quackity was giving some sort of speech and that finally drew your eyes towards the podium, locked inside a cage was a fuming Technoblade. You rushed towards the group, pushing past Ghostbur and a blue sheep, and grabbed tightly onto Tubbo’s arm.
“Tubbo what the fuck is happening?” He tensed turning towards your face. It was no secret that you and Techno were friends, this wasn’t good at all.
“(Y/n)! You’re back early!” He spoke nervously rubbing his hands together as Quackity turned towards you,
“Welcome back!” Quackity hopped off the podium with a smirk, “Fundy grab them.”
“Quackity hey wait a minute-” Tubbo started as Fundy roughly grabbed onto your arms pinning you in place,
“Ow hey! Watch it! Let go of me!”
“Get your hands off them!” Technoblade snarled nostrils flaring grabbing the bars of the cage tightly.
“Quackity you said we’d leave them out of this!” Tubbo argued and your jaw dropped staring at Tubbo, “You promised!”
He waved Tubbo off with a scoff, “they’re just as bad as Phil, Tubbo. She needs to be punished. We can't play favorites when trying to run a country. We’ll execute Techno then deal with the other traitors.”
“Execute?” You choked, “you can’t be serious! Tubbo you cannot be serious, since when are you okay with public executions?” He refused to look at you, his hair covering his eyes, he only nodded his head in Quackity’s direction.
     “Do it.”
“Tubbo!” You shrieked watching Quackity grin maliciously, moving over to pull the lever that would allow the anvil to fall and crush the man below it.
What happened next was a cluster fuck, someone began trying to set off TNT, and Quackity pulled the lever. It fell rapidly towards Techno and he pulled something out of his pocket, in a flash of bright colors and bursts of light Technoblade was ripped apart and pulled back together again. He was alive, Technoblade really doesn’t ever die. He hopped on top of the anvil and jumped the bars of the cage, Fundy had long since lost his grip on you, he noticed Dream ushering him inside a cavern and he paused a moment. The hybrid turned towards you holding out his hand one final time, the world seemed to stop a moment and it was just you and him. His face held a desperate look in it, almost pleading you to take his hand within your own. You flashed back to the day Wilbur blew the country up, Tubbo called your name you glanced over your shoulder once towards Little Ram. You reached into your bag and dropped the diamonds you found for him on the ground, you grabbed Technoblade’s hand and squeezed it tightly. Technoblade smiled and yanked you forward, leaving a heartbroken Tubbo in your wake.

the wind that remakes
It's been ten years since the princes of the Antarctic Empire vanished. But the king's still offering a hefty reward for their return, and Tommy thinks it's about time he and Tubbo tried for it. No matter what they have to do.
It's time to pull off the con of the century.

--------------------
Chapter One: let the valleys awake (let them rattle and shake)
It starts like this: Tommy and Tubbo are looking for someone they could feasibly pass off as one of the Lost Princes of the Antarctic Empire, because the reward is a shit load of money and Tommy wants a piece of it. But they’re not having any luck, right up until they pass by a busker on the street corner and something in Tommy’s head just clicks, just says, yes, that one, he’s the one.
And, well. Tommy is a Big Man whose instincts are never wrong, so he nudges Tubbo and points. Tubbo’s nose scrunches up, but Tommy doesn’t give him time to object before he’s marching over, already preparing his dialogue. And as he gets closer, he’s more and more certain that he’s right about this; the guy has the right hair color, the right face structure, and he’s a performer to boot, and taken all together, it smells like a successful scam just waiting to be implemented.
The guy doesn’t look up when he comes over, so instead of talking to him, Tommy pulls out the rumpled picture that they’ve been using all day, one of the photos of Prince Wilbur that’s been circulating around the Empire for years now, in hopes that someone will see him and bring him home. Fat chance of that ever happening, of course, and King Philza must be a sucker for thinking it, but it makes his and Tubbo’s jobs easier, so he’s hardly going to complain about it. He holds the picture up, comparing the face of the prince to that of the street performer, and actually, the resemblance is kind of uncanny.
“Tubbo, my friend,” he says, “I think we’ve got him.”
Tubbo makes a noncommittal noise, but that finally gets the performer to look up from his guitar.
“Can I help you with something?” he asks, and Tommy grins.
“Actually, we’re about to help you,” he says, and he sounds very grand and impressive, if he does say so himself. Which makes it all the more annoying when the guy looks him up and down like he’s worth the dirt on his shoes.
“Really,” he says, and his voice is dripping with so much sarcasm, Tommy’s surprised that it doesn’t manifest physically somehow.
“Yes, really,” he says. He refuses to be put off. This is the guy, he just knows it, the guy who’s going to make them so fucking rich that they’ll be able to swim in gold, or whatever it is rich people do with their money. “You’re one of the Lost Princes of the Antarctic Empire.”
The guy blinks. “Pretty sure I’m not,” he says.
“Pretty sure you are,” he returns. “See, look, we’ve got a photo of you and everything.” He shows the guy the photo, and the guy narrows his eyes. “Or at least, we’ve got a photo of Prince Wilbur, but it could be you, too. That’s a kid in this picture. No telling what he looks like now. Could look like you.”
“We’re inviting you in on our scam,” Tubbo puts in. “If you couldn’t tell. You interested?”
“Wait,” the guy says. “Wait. You’re telling me that you want to pretend that I’m a fucking prince so that you can get the reward money off the king? Something I’m sure no one has ever tried to do before. You don’t know me at all, and you don’t know if I can act worth a damn, you just think I look like the prince did when he was fourteen. But just to be clear, that’s what you’re proposing?”
He looks at Tubbo. Tubbo looks at him.
“Yeah, pretty much,” Tubbo says. “If it makes you feel better about it, we’re really, really good con artists.”
“You’re infants, is what you are,” the guy says. “How old are you, five?”
“We’re sixteen, fuck off,” Tommy snaps. “Look, do you want in or not? Pretty sure living in a cushy palace has got to be better than whatever you’ve got going on here.”
“Hm, let’s see, do I want to upend my entire life to try to trick a grieving father into thinking that I’m one of his long lost sons? Which, incidentally, is a plan that will probably not work and get us all thrown in prison for fraud,” the guy says.
“We’re going to try very hard not to get thrown into prison for fraud,” Tubbo is quick to say, but the guy doesn’t seem to be paying attention.
“Sure, let’s go,” the guy says. “Not like I’ve got much else to do. You two have names?”
“This is Tubbo,” Tommy says. “I’m Tommy.”
The guy raises an eyebrow.
“Yes, like Prince Tommy,” he says. “It’s a common name, so shut up about it.”
“I wasn’t going to say anything,” the guy says. “I mean, my name’s Will, so.”
He can’t stop himself from laughing, because that’s just too good. “Are you serious?” he demands, smiling widely. “You’re joking, your name is actually Will?”
Will shrugs. “It’s what I’ve always gone by, ever since I was a teenager. I can’t really remember any of my childhood, so who knows, maybe I actually am a prince.” He smiles in a way that makes it clear how much of a joke he thinks that is, and he stands and reaches for his guitar case. There’s not much money in it, despite the fact that from what Tommy heard of his playing, he’s pretty damn good.
Tubbo snorts.
And Tommy claps their newfound friend on the back.
“Will,” he says, “I think this is the beginning of an excellent partnership.” He grins broadly, the type of grin that always has Tubbo rolling his eyes and asking where the fire is, which is unfair, frankly. It’s not always a fire. Just sometimes, because arson can be fun, actually, and some people deserve to have their stuff burned down.
Will, to his delight and Tubbo’s obvious consternation, grins the same kind of grin right back at him.
-----
It starts like this: it is indeed the beginning of an excellent partnership.
Will fits in with them like he was born to the role, and Tommy will never admit how fast he’s gotten attached to the guy, but he is kind of very attached. Because Will is smart and funny, with a sense of wit that can have both him and Tubbo in stitches, and it’s also nice to have an adult around, a bit. Not that he and Tubbo need one; they’ve gotten along just fine without for years. But people don’t shoot them as many suspicious looks when they’re with Will, and it turns out that he’s a brilliant actor, too, charismatic and smooth and confident, and he has people eating right out of his hand while Tommy and Tubbo sneak around and pick their pockets. It’s a wonderful arrangement, and within a week or two, Tommy can barely remember what life was like without him there.
The main issue is travel.
It’s a long way from where they started to the Capitol, and they can’t always afford to travel in the protected caravans, the ones with hired guards against the mobs that swarm over the land at night. And they can’t always afford an inn to stay in, either, and that means spending several harrowing lengths of time cowering in a makeshift shelter, listening to zombies and skeletons and spiders just outside and praying that none of them find their hiding spot, because they’re all scrappy in a fight but they don’t have any real weapons on them. They hadn’t planned for this, really; he and Tubbo have never left the big cities before, and apparently, Will hasn’t either.
“We need a bodyguard,” he declares one day.
“Where are we supposed to get one of those?” Tubbo asks.
“I don’t know,” he says. “But we need one. I’m sick of mobs.”
“It’s not a bad idea,” Will says. He’s setting up a busking spot, trying to get them a little more cash. Somehow, it never seems to be enough. “But I agree with Tubbo. Even if we can find someone to go with us, there’s payment to think about.”
“We don’t need payment,” he protests. “We’ve got a prince! A long lost prince! We’re about to be the richest men in the world! That’s payment, innit?”
Will rolls his eyes. Tubbo does too. They’ve been doing that lately, ganging up on him, which is terrible and unfair.
“Somehow, I don’t think that a good bodyguard will accept that kind of payment,” Tubbo says. “It’d basically be an IOU, right? That’s a terrible business practice.”
He scowls. Tubbo is right, of course, but he’s got his heart set on a bodyguard now. Someone who’s good at fighting—good at fighting mobs, specifically, because Tommy is a very good fighter, thank you very much, it’s just that the people he’s used to fighting are other street kids. For, like, food. Not monsters. Not things that can kill you in one blow, if you’re unlucky.
And then, like fate and providence are shining down on him, his eyes alight on a poster across the street. The poster advertises arena fighting. In this city. Fights daily.
He grabs Tubbo’s arm.
“That,” he says, pointing, “is where we find a bodyguard.”
Tubbo follows his gaze. “Maybe,” he says doubtfully, “but we’ll still need to pay them. How are we supposed to convince someone to come along? I bet they get paid more for fighting than we could ever offer them.”
“Tubbo,” he says, “we’re the greatest con artists in the world. We can think of something.”
Tubbo stares at him. And then grins.
Behind them, Will starts to play.
-----
It starts like this: Will manages to busk enough money to get them three tickets into the arena.
It hurts just a bit, spending their legitimately-earned cash on something like this. But five minutes after stepping through the gates, into the crush of people and the roar of the crowds, the scent of sweat and blood mingling with concessions and stale perfume, Tommy thinks that this might be one of the best things he’s ever gotten to do in his life.
Their seats aren’t great, but they can see alright. The day’s matches start with small fry, and those fights are so boring that he almost starts yawning, because these people are just bashing each other with swords. There’s no finesse to it, no real skill, and he really hopes that there are fighters here better than this, because if there aren’t, this has been a wasted trip. But slowly and surely, the fights get better, more engaging, more of a real show, and his interest returns.
And then, when they’ve been there for hours and the sun is starting to creep toward the horizon, they bring out the big guns.
The announcer calls out someone with the moniker of ‘The Blade,’ and the crowd goes wild. They, evidently, know who this is, and that fact alone is enough to put Tommy on the edge of his seat, because surely, this is who they want? The headliner, the number one, the main attraction? If the spectators like them this much, they must be good.
They step out into the arena, dust clouds puffing where their feet fall, and the crowd gets impossibly louder. It’s hard to make out details from this distance, but Tommy can see pink hair, tied back into a braid, and some kind of mask covering the upper part of their face. It looks a bit like a skull, like this person is actually wearing an actual skull on their face, and that is either extremely overkill or extremely badass, and Tommy can’t quite decide which.
And then, there’s the massive netherite sword they’re holding. Their namesake, Tommy assumes. It’s probably the biggest sword he’s ever seen, and this person is holding it like it weighs nothing at all.
Their opponent comes out, and even though they’re also armed to the teeth, they don’t look nearly as natural as the Blade does. They hold their axe out in front of them as if to ward off blows rather than make them, and they’ve got their shield lifted too high. The Blade, meanwhile, spins their sword—and how strong must they be, to wield such a huge weapon so naturally?—in casual circles, appearing for all the world like this is no more strenuous than a walk in the park.
The announcer shouts. The fight commences.
The Blade fights like it’s as natural as breathing, and Tommy can’t look away. Their style is a mixture of sheer brutality and uncanny grace, and it’s difficult to watch, sometimes, difficult to keep track of exactly what they’re doing; one moment, it will look as if their opponent is holding their own, and then the next, they will have that sword at that opponent’s throat. Or through it, sometimes. The Blade doesn’t seem to have any compunctions about killing.
Tommy loses track of how many matches they fight. Six, maybe, or seven. But they win all of them handily, and by the time the events are all over and people begin to file out of the arena, he’s practically shaking with excitement.
Tubbo beats him to the punch.
“So, it’s them, right?” he says. “We’re gonna try to get them?”
Tommy nods rapidly, unable to contain himself.
“We have to,” he says. “That was fucking—I don’t know what the hell that was, but it was fantastic!”
He glances over at Will, only to find that he’s still staring out into the arena, eyes slightly glazed. Tommy furrows his brow, waiting for him to say something, but when it becomes apparent that he’s not going to, he speaks up.
“Will? You agree?” he asks, and Will blinks, shudders a bit.
“Right,” he says, “yeah, no, sorry, I’m good. Yeah, if we’re actually going to do this, we should aim for the best.”
He still seems a bit out of it, a bit dazed, but he turns his head to meet Tommy’s eyes and smiles, and Tommy tucks his concerns away with the mental equivalent of a shrug. If Will says he’s good, that’s good enough for him.
“Alright,” he says, standing, cracking his knuckles dramatically. Tubbo rolls his eyes at the display, but he ignores him. “Let’s go get ourselves a Blade.”
-----
It starts like this: the key to sneaking in someplace is to look as though you belong there. That’s easier said than done, of course, especially for two ragged teens and a slightly less ragged young adult. But Tommy’s had a long time to figure things like this out, and so has Tubbo, and Will hasn’t done this very often but he always takes to acting out new roles as if he was born to them, so Tommy’s not particularly worried. They find a door marked for employees and slip in, and from there it’s just a matter of finding their way.
He’s got a story prepared in case they get stopped, something about being sent with a message, but no one gives them a second glance. He keeps his head held high, his stride purposeful but not too confident, and simple as that, he appears to be just like everyone else, age and clothing notwithstanding.
“Do they have rooms down here, do you think?” Tubbo mutters. “The fighters?”
“Maybe,” he replies. “Even if they don’t, I bet the Blade is still here. The fight didn’t end that long ago.”
There are a lot of rooms under the arena, a lot of hallways, a lot of space, and it’s a bit mazelike, really. Dark, too; they’ve got redstone-powered lighting, but it’s fritzy, the bulbs flickering and dim. The walls and floors are hard, dank stone, the kind that echoes loudly with every noise, and Tommy can’t help but wince when the sound of their passage bounces off of every surface.
“There’s lots of swords in there,” Tubbo says, peering into one of the rooms they pass. “Isn’t that the Blade’s?”
Tommy stops walking, stepping up next to Tubbo. The room is full of weapons and armor of all kinds, but sure enough, there’s a large sword sitting alone on a table, still flecked with dried blood. It’s even larger up close; Tommy’s not sure he could lift it without using two hands, much less fight with it, though it pains him to admit as much. The Blade is just that strong, apparently, though why he’d leave his prized weapon sitting here in a room of other weapons, out in the open where anyone could mess with it, Tommy has no idea. Unless the sword isn’t actually his, but that doesn’t make much sense, does it?
“Tommy, Tubbo,” Will hisses, the sound sharp in the otherwise empty corridor, and Tommy looks over. Will is standing in front of an iron door a little ways down, a door with a barred window in it. He’s got his eyes fixed on whatever’s on the other side, his expression somewhere between shock and anger, and Tommy exchanges glances with Tubbo.
“What?” he asks, coming over.
“Have a look,” Will whispers, moving aside so that he and Tubbo can see.
He immediately understands what has Will upset.
“Oh gods,” Tubbo says. “They’re prisoners.”
There are cages in this room. Dozens of them, built with black iron, though only a few are occupied. Tommy recognizes most of the people in them, all people who fought in the arena earlier, the best fighters, the ones that gave a good showing, that were actually interesting to watch. They’re all in cages, most of them sitting or lying down, none of them moving all that much. It’s a stark contrast to before, when they were all movement, all aggression. Now, they seem—listless is the best word to describe it. Purposeless. Like all the fight’s been sucked right out of them.
A few of them are in chains, even inside their cages. The Blade is one of those, manacles wrapped around their wrists and ankles, and a collar around their neck. It’s sick, is what it is, like they’re some sort of animal.
“Shit,” Tubbo says. “I thought the hardest part was gonna be trying to convince them to come. Now we’ve got to do a prison break?”
“This isn’t right,” Will mutters. “This isn’t—they’re being forced to fight?”
“Only one way to find out,” Tommy says, and reaches out to push the door open. For a second, it doesn’t budge, and he wonders if it’s locked, because wouldn’t that just be perfect? But then, there is give, and it swings inward with a squeal of rusted hinges. Beside him, Tubbo steps back to look up and down the hallway, but no one appears to shout at them or kill them for trespassing, so Tommy squares his shoulders and strides into the room, trying to keep looking like he belongs.
It doesn’t matter much. Just like the employees they passed, none of the fighters—the prisoners—seem interested at all. So Tommy walks through the room unimpeded until he’s right next to the Blade’s cage. The Blade is sitting on the ground, leaning against the bars, head bowed. They don’t look up.
So Tommy clears his throat.
“Hello,” he says, and congratulates himself on an excellent beginning.
Slowly, the Blade’s head rises, and Tommy can see two things: one, that what he thought might have been a skull mask back in the arena is definitely an entire real skull, holy shit, and two, that the Blade is a young man, far younger than he would have thought him to be. Maybe even younger than Will, who estimates his own age to be around the ballpark of twenty-four or twenty-five.
“Hallo,” the Blade says after a moment. Tommy almost laughs out loud, because the word is said so awkwardly, and more than a bit bewildered, as if the Blade can’t fathom why someone would be talking to him. Which is a bit sad, actually, so Tommy’s going to choose to believe that he’s confused by the presence of a teenager and not by the fact that anyone is there at all. Because the second would just be downright depressing.
“You’re the Blade, right?” Tommy checks.
“That’s what they call me,” the Blade agrees. “And you are?”
“We want to hire you,” Tubbo jumps in. “Or at least, we did. We weren’t really expecting you to be locked up or anything. We might need a new plan. But we wanted you to come with us and be our bodyguard.”
It’s difficult to tell exactly what the Blade’s expression is doing, considering that most of the top half of his face is hidden by the animal skull—is it a pig? Tommy’s pretty sure that it’s a pig, or a boar, or maybe even a hoglin, considering its size—but his eyes are visible, and he glances between both of them slowly, skeptically. Tommy bristles.
“And just what do a couple of ragamuffins need a bodyguard for?” the Blade drawls. “You skip school too many times?” He pauses. “Who do children fight these days? Other children? I can fight you some orphans if you want, I guess. I’m pretty good at that.”
Tommy blinks, his mouth working silently for a second. He wants to be indignant at being addressed like a kid, like he’s not even worthy of consideration, but that is superseded by his sheer bewilderment at the way the Blade talks, like he’d just casually enjoy the chance to rough up some orphans. He looks at Tubbo, and sees the exact same question reflected in his best friend’s face: Just what kind of guy have we started talking to?
This isn’t like Will, where he could tell immediately that he would be right for the job and for their team overall. The smart thing to do would probably be to give up and look elsewhere for someone to hire. And yet, Tommy finds himself intrigued. This is a very strange man, obviously, and he’s never been able to resist poking at strange things.
“No, no orphans,” he says, muttering a quick, “What the fuck?” under his breath for good measure. “We just need protection on the road. From mobs and such. We will literally break you out of here if you come with us.”
The Blade tilts his head.
“You could try,” he says. “I can’t say I’m enthusiastic about the idea.”
“You can’t possibly want to stay in here,” Tubbo says incredulously. The Blade shrugs.
“No,” he agrees, “but there’s not much of anythin’ for me out there, either. Everything about this place sucks, but at least I get to fight people. I like doin’ that. I wouldn’t know what to do with myself if I got out.”
And that—forget earlier, that is so, so incredibly sad. In both the pathetic way and in the actual terrible way.
“There’ll be plenty of mobs to fight on the road,” he says, grasping at straws now. He’s got a few ideas for how they could successfully orchestrate a prison break, but in order for that to happen, the Blade needs to be willing to go. “Loads of ‘em. And besides, we’re bringing Prince Wilbur back to the king, and there’ll be a great big reward for it. You’ll be rich enough to do whatever you want after that.”
“Like fight orphans,” Tubbo adds helpfully.
“Yeah, like fighting orphans. So c’mon, what do you say?”
The Blade has gone very, very still.
“You’re doing what?” he says, his tone completely flat. A shiver runs down Tommy’s spine, because that is not a good tone. That is a tone that promises violence, that promises bloodshed, that promises death, and he’s not sure how he knows that, but he’s sure of it, sure as he knows his own name, that he has somehow just said something to make this man very, very dangerous.
“Uh, we’ve found Prince Wilbur?” he says. “And we’re bringing him back to the Capitol so we can get the reward money? And that’s why we need—”
“Prince Wilbur is dead. All of the princes of the Antarctic Empire are dead.”
The way he says it shocks Tommy into silence, and he doesn’t know why. It’s hardly an outrageous thing to say; it’s the general consensus of the common folk, after all, that King Philza is clinging to false hope, that he is a decent man but also one to be pitied, for refusing to accept the loss of his sons. Hell, Tommy himself has never believed in the myths, in the stories that go something like, so-and-so saw one of the princes by the train tracks or so-and-so saw them on a cart crossing the border or shit like that. The princes were kids when the invasion happened and the Empire itself was almost lost; there’s probably no way that they survived being taken by the enemy, the invaders that crept out of the End.
But the way the Blade says it—
He’s so certain. Like there is absolutely no doubt in his mind. The princes are dead, and there’s not even room for argument, not room for so much as a rumor to the contrary. Tommy agrees with him, but even he can’t claim that level of surety.
“Uh,” Tubbo says. “I mean, obviously it’s a scam. We’re scamming the king. We don’t actually have the prince. But we’d still like a bodyguard.”
“No,” the Blade says, in that same voice, low and monotone and terrifying. “You should leave. I’ll have no part in this.”
“Oh come on,” Tommy says, regaining his voice. He doesn’t know what to do with the Blade’s convictions, but he knows how to talk his way out of a denial. “Look, why don’t you—where’s Will? Will?”
Will’s not standing at the cage with them. Somehow, he’s only just noticing this. He turns, and Will is lurking back by the door to the room, keeping to the shadows, shifting uneasily. Which, fine, he can do what he wants, except for right now, because the more adamantly the Blade turns them down, the more Tommy wants him to come along.
“Will,” he calls, and his voice reverberates through the room. A couple of the other prisoners lift their heads. “Come talk to this guy! Tell him he should come with us!”
Will approaches slowly, strangely hesitantly, stepping up on the other side of Tubbo.
“We are in the market for a bodyguard,” he says quietly. “We thought you fit the bill.” He pauses. “We can’t guarantee that any of this will work, of course, but I’m an excellent actor, and these two are literal children, but they’re not bad.”
“Aw, thanks,” Tubbo says.
“Watch who you’re calling a fucking child,” Tommy says.
“What?” the Blade says. “You’re—Wilbur?”
“Will,” Will corrects, “but yes, we’re passing me off as Prince Wilbur.”
“Passing you off,” the Blade repeats. Slowly, he rises to his feet for the first time, and wow, he’s tall.
“Kind of the definition of a scam,” Tommy says.
“A scam,” the Blade repeats again. “This is a scam.”
“We just told you this,” he says. “Are you a bit slow or what?”
“No, just tryin’ to understand,” the Blade says. “You’re tellin’ me right now that this is definitely a scam. And you are not actually Prince Wilbur of the Antarctic Empire.”
“That is what we’re telling you, yes,” Will says, and Tommy is glad that he does, because he’s pretty sure he’s lost the thread of the conversation. The Blade is a strange, strange man, and frankly, he’s not making any sense at all anymore.
“Okay,” the Blade says. “I’m in. Bust me out.”
Tommy blinks. And then blinks again.
“What, really?”
“Yeah, you’ve convinced me,” the Blade says.
“Literally how,” Tubbo states, but Tommy punches him on the arm to get him to shut up, because they don’t need him to think about it, don’t need him second-guessing his decision.
“Alright!” he whoops. “One jail break, coming right up!”
“Right,” the Blade says. “Who are you again?”
He’s already leaving the room. But he hears Tubbo say, “I’m Tubbo, and that’s Tommy,” and he hears the Blade’s strangled, “Heh?” in return, and that’s a bit weird, but he doesn’t pay it much mind. They’ve inducted a strange man into their little band, but that doesn’t matter much, as long as he’s as good with his sword against mobs as he is against people.
-----
It starts like this: a massive netherite sword, left unattended, works amazingly for cutting through iron.
A massive, enchanted netherite sword also works amazingly for setting things on fire.
It’s a mess after that, a blur and a rush of adrenaline, but they cut up all of the other cages and chains to give the other prisoners a chance to get out, and then they’re running, and the place is on fire behind them because for a labyrinth under an arena, there’s a surprising amount of wood around here. And there are people shouting at them, and a few people that try to attack, but the Blade mows them down and laughs, and there’s blood and lots of it, too, but in the moment it doesn’t seem to matter so much.
He’s got Tubbo by his side. Will at his back. The Blade close at hand. And in a way he can’t quite describe, it feels very right.
-----
It starts like this: Tommy doesn’t know where he comes from.
He sort of vaguely remembers things, sometimes. He thinks he had a family, once. If he strains himself, he can recall fuzzy impressions: someone holding him, safe and warm. Someone’s laugh. Someone singing. An overwhelming sense of being secure, of being protected, of being loved.
But if he strains himself, sometimes he remembers other things, too. Darkness, terror, screams. Fear and disorientation, and a voice, clear as day: “Take your brothers and go!”
He’s turned that piece of dialogue over and over in his mind so many times. It’s all he has, the only hint he has to go on. It’s a male voice, clearly an adult. He likes to think that it’s his father. Though maybe he shouldn’t hope for that; he doesn’t remember what happened, but he’s sure it was dangerous, and if that person was his father, he might be dead. Probably is, in fact. There’s a reason why he ended up in an orphanage, after all.
Those are his first clear memories, at that orphanage. They estimated him at about five or six, and he’s pretty sure they were right, so he really should have at least a few memories from before. But he doesn’t, and the woman who looked after him the most told him that he probably went through what she called a trau-ma-tic event. Because trau-ma-tic events, she said, sounding out the syllables just like that to make sure he understood, could sometimes make you forget things. And sometimes the memories come back, but sometimes they don’t.
She was always kind to him. They all were, at that orphanage. And then that orphanage got shut down and he got shipped off and never saw any of them again, because kindness is no way to run a business. Kindness doesn’t get you many places.
It was orphanage after orphanage after that. They always looked for excuses to get rid of him. He was a problem child, the particular kind that always gets pegged before their mouths even open. He’s never understood it. Something about the look in his eyes, maybe. Not that it matters; he got put in the same orphanage as Tubbo at twelve, and they ran away together and didn’t look back.
No point in crying over dropped diamonds. No point in longing for something he can’t have. Can’t remember.
But sometimes, he lets himself wonder what his life would be like, if he’d gotten to keep that first family he’s certain that he had. He wonders what they were like. His maybe-father. The brothers that he thinks might have been his. He wonders, and he wonders if it’s possible to miss people that he never really knew.
But none of that matters in the long run, not really. Because he’s got his Tubbo, who’s better than any brother he could possibly ask for. And now he’s got Will, who’s funny and charming and just as irritating as he always suspected an older brother would be, and he’s got the Blade, who’s strange and sarcastic and so skilled that it’s scary, honestly, and they’re on their way to scam a king, and there’s nowhere to go but up from here.
He looks around him, at his friends and he thinks, Yeah. Yeah, this is good.

Sunsets Never Felt The Same...
Pairing: c!Wilbur Soot x Reader
Warnings: Angst. There will be feels in this, just wait for it. BUT THERE IS A LOT OF FLUFF TOO
After a long day, Wilbur gets to watch the sunset with his favorite person though neither of them knew how that day would change them forever...
2.5k words
//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
The soft padding of footsteps sounded on the chilled stone walkways that connected a few of the small houses in L’manburg. Even with the promise of war on the horizon and dangerous tension in the air, the evening is quiet, the only noises being the hoot of an owl or frogs down by the waters near the homes. Despite all that hung in the balance, it felt peaceful. The evening giving a false sense of things being perfectly fine.
Wilbur strode over the stone, his L’manburg suit being retired for the evening and replaced with a dark shirt and pants though he neglected to put on shoes. It seemed unnecessary as it wasn’t like he was walking a mile. Though with contacts out for the night, he made sure to grab his glasses.
He took a deep breath in, taking in the refreshing night air, and sighed. A smile crossed his lips and he chuckled, looking aside to the horizon that was painted with soft colors. Blues and pinks fading into purple around the setting sun while the rest of the sky was a deep and dark blue, littered with thousands of stars that were becoming more and more vibrant as the seconds ticked on and the sky darkened evermore.
“Oh, hey Wilbur.” A quiet voice spoke, catching his attention as he looked over. Just the person he was on a mission to see. Y/n sat on the top step of their small porch, dressed in a hoodie a size or two too big and shorts. It was a nice night for late September so he couldn’t really blame them for that choice. “What are you doing wanderin’ around?”
“I just so happened to be seeking some company,” He tilted his head quizzically at them, holding his hands loosely behind his back. “Mind if I sit?”
They perked up and scooted to the side from the middle of the step and patted the wood beside them. “Of course, come on.”
He walked over, climbing a couple of stairs before taking a seat on the other side of the step, making sure to give them room even with the urge in him to sit closer. Even if it was just a couple of inches.
“It’s a nice night, perfect for watching the sun set I'd say. It won’t be long till I have to start bringing a blanket out with me though.” They giggled, seeming excited to do so instead of seeing the extra work as a burden. Wilbur looked at them as they gazed at the sky, his heart-melting with their giggle and own gaze softening just looking at them. The way the evening light from the setting sun bathed their skin oh so gently. The only better sight is seeing them in the early morning glow, never had he thought he could describe someone as ethereal before, but it was truly amazing how captivating it made them look.
“Will?” He turned away right as they looked at him, cheeks warming with slight embarrassment.
“I-I’m sorry I guess I zoned out. Were you talking?” He glanced at them again, meeting their curious eyes for a moment before looking back to the now purple sky surrounding the nearly fully set sun.
“I just asked if you were okay. I can imagine you’ve been under a lot of stress lately. Even not being your right-hand man in this war, I know it weighs a lot on the mind even as a soldier.” They said with a cute sort of fondness mixed with worry.
“You’ve got the right idea that’s for sure.” He let out a breathy laugh, turning to them. “It has been rough, I will be honest with you. I haven’t been the best but…” He trailed off, their gazes were locked. The world seemed unreal around them, every issue in his life left his mind as he let all of his focus revolve around the lovely person by his side. Even as they shifted nervously with his eyes on them for so long and their cheeks reddening a tad, he felt more at ease than he had in months. “Right now, I feel on top of the world.”
Y/n laughed, they were so easy to fluster it seemed.
“You really are one for the dramatics aren’t you Wilby.” Their eyes lingered on him a bit longer as they started to change their position, moving a bit closer to him as they pulled their legs up to their chest and looked at the stars that had started to litter the sky in front of them in place of the sun.
He was about to shoot them a response, till he heard distance honking and looked to the other end of the sky, barely making out a flock of geese. Silence fell over both of them as they listened to the nostalgic calls of the birds overhead that filled the two with a deep sense of calm.
The peacefulness of the moment they were sharing felt almost romantic, something you couldn’t experience with just anyone, and right now he, at least, wished to spend it with only them. Silent wishes filled his thoughts that they felt the same.
“Yeah? Well maybe I am… you sure seem to like it though, so I would say that’s okay.” His voice held a teasing note in it and he leaned back to rest his hands on the porch behind him, taking in and letting out a deep breath.
“I think you’re really lovely-”
“I like you a lot Wilbur-”
The two said at the same time, looking at each other in surprise before Y/n couldn’t contain their laughter, and Wilbur quickly followed after in a spurt of laughter. It took a few moments for them to calm down and catch their breaths to which, with a few giggles in between some of their words, started up again.
“Okay okay- I’m sorry, you go first.”
“I-” He giggled a bit, “I, I think you’re very lovely.” He said wholeheartedly, looking at him with a smile, and pointed to them to tell them to go next.
“Okay… I like you a lot… Wilbur.” They got out, shyly, growing visibly nervous as they fiddled with their hands and letting their gaze float around. Gods did he truly adore them and hearing that filled him with bittersweet happiness.
You see, Sally hadn’t been gone long, so confessions of love always brought him back to moments of her. He shook the thought from his head, he shouldn’t dwell on someone who wasn’t going to return to him and he knew she would want him to do this.
For himself. For his happiness, no matter how short-lived it might be.
“Would it be too straightforward to tell you I was deeply in love with you? That I see you as the bright and forever shining sun in the sky? That to me, looking into your eyes has felt more magical than anything this crazy world had provided or thrown our way?” Wilbur shifted his body toward them, leaning forward with his arms resting on his knees.
“What if I told you that nearly every waking moment since I realized my own infatuation, I have thought about you. I can’t even begin to tell you how many times I’ve screwed up because I was so wrapped up in my thoughts. Oh god and the hours at night that all I want is to get up and walk to your door and just hug you. Wrap you in my arms and never let you go.” He sighed, chuckling a little at Y/n’s baffled expression, and smiled. Wilbur reached out and ran the back of his fingers over their cheek and moved a little bit of hair behind their ear.
“That wouldn’t be… too straight forward would it?” He whispered, treasuring the way their head tilted toward where his hand was lingering before they reached up to press his palm to their cheek and gaze at him with a loving look that just turned him into an absolutely lovesick fool for them.
“No… I don’t think so. I think you said just the right words.” Their words clung to him, immediately replaying themselves over and over in his mind.
He moved closer to them so his leg was touching theirs as they were now crossed and facing him. Leaning himself forward, watching them as they watched him right back, but he scrunched his face up a little. Wilbur reached up and pulled his glasses off his face, now that they were so close he wanted to really look at them and see their face without needing help from contacts or lenses. He let them spill out of his hand to the wood beside him.
“You wouldn’t...mind if I kissed you right now, would you?” Y/n whispered.
“God, please do.”
They giggled at his quick response, taking their hand off his and in return cupping his face to which he moved his hand to their upper arm, holding his breath in anticipation with his eyes closed. But they didn’t move. He opened his eyes to see them smiling at him like he was a little kitten.
“W-What?”
“You are so cute.” They said before closing the distance and pressing a sweet kiss against his lips to which he kissed back eagerly. This sweet form of intimacy was one he missed most of all after losing Sally. He never imagined being able to feel something like this for a long time, the moment they kissed him though, he could feel all tension just fall from his body as he melted into them. His arms wrapped down around their waist and they moved on hand from his cheek to put around his neck.
Wilbur didn’t want to admit it, but finally feeling this comfort and affection after bottling up so many feelings day after day, it seemed to really get to him as he felt a tear roll down his cheek and Y/n pulled away quickly to look at him, obviously concerned.
“Will are you okay? What’s wro-”
“I’m okay… I-I’m… this is just so nice.”
“Aw...Will…” Y/n wiped away the tear with their thumb, making him chuckle a little and he kissed them again, letting the entirety of them fill his senses. The moment felt so perfect, like nothing in the world could ruin it.
“Pfft- eyy get a room, Wilbur!!” Tommy’s voice rang out causing Wilbur to pull away and look toward the voice.
It seemed Tommy and Tubbo wanted to take a late-night walk.
He felt his face heat up in embarrassment and Y/n bury their face in his chest, seemingly just as embarrassed
“T-Tommy- man what the hell?!” Tommy cackled and leaned over, whispering something to Tubbo and gesturing over to the two, making Tubbo laugh.
“Hey have a good night, don’t keep them up too late tonight!” Tommy teased right before the two picked up their pace, running off. He was going to shout something at him but decided to let him go with just an unamused sigh.
Y/n giggled though at the boys and he looked down to look at them to which they wrapped their arms around him.
“It is kinda late you know.”
“Oh- right I’m sorry you're probably tired. I’ll go okay?” He spoke softly and they let go of him to look at him.
“Actually… could you stay?”
Wilbur went silent for a few moments before smiling. “Now that is pretty forward.” He teased, referencing his earlier words, and they immediately flushed a bit.
“N-No no I didn’t mean- no i just…” They trailed off, too embarrassed to continue and he just chuckled, kissing their forehead.
“I know, it’s okay sunshine. I’ll stay for tonight if it'll make you happy.” He reached over to where he haphazardly dumped his glasses on the porch beside him. “Y/n… I hope you know that I love you so much. You really are incredible.”
~~
“Wilbur!” Y/n yelled at him, catching him right as he jumped down from the wall at the lowest point. He didn’t expect anyone to see him especially with the commotion going on inside.
“You need to go, I have places to be.” Being so cold to them hurt, but he didn’t have time to be nice.
“Will…” They cried and stepped toward him, his face softened and he smiled. He laughed. His shoulders shook and he lowered his head, hands in his pockets.
He removed his hands and strode toward Y/n with a walk and pace that made them back up, but not fast enough to get away from him as he was already right in front of them. He left nearly no space as his gloved hands cupped their cheeks firmly, but still with a fond gentleness. A slow, excited, shaky breath left his lips and he laughed softly before he took a deep breath. His eyes met their’s, the sweetness was there but the crazed glint was evident and the sight made them tense up.
“I know no one else saw this coming and to everyone else, what is to come may be considered a tragedy, but darling,
My sun,
My beautiful sunflower among fields of roses,
This was the fate of this country. This was my destiny.”
He glanced toward the walls as a firework shot, screams for Tubbo following after and Y/n watched in fear, but he turned their face back toward him. He pulled their face to him, though the action was gentle, and he pressed his lips to theirs. Tears spilled over their cheeks and upon feeling them on his hands he pulled away just to get pulled right back by them. It was almost as they were desperately trying to block out the cries and shouts by kissing him.
Wilbur forced himself away, needing to get to the final control room, and stared at them with their vulnerable expression.
“Don’t mourn me, my love, don’t cry. This is how the world was bound to end up so don’t wish for a different future.
I do not regret any of my decisions leading up to this point." He sounded excited.
"Even now, my marvelous star, I do not feel the wish to redo a single action of mine that made this future possible.
I need you to live your life and live it well. Know I will be with you in spirit, I will never be gone so do not miss me.”
With a final kiss and a message whispered in their ear, he was gone.
~~
Y/n didn't dare move from the spot Wilbur abandoned them in. Fear froze them for they didn't know what he had planned. Many minutes passed before the first explosion rang out.
They stood, facing the wall of their country, the one they fought so hard to defend, as the TNT blasted rubble and dust their way while all they could do was watch. They fell to their knees, being shown the remnants of their precious country as Wilbur’s whispered words rang clear in their mind again. The tears spilled down their cheeks endlessly, not wanting to believe what he had done.
“Just enjoy the show, darling, as it is for you.”
It seemed he really was the dramatic type...

part five !!
slowly coming up towards the end now, at least with darian and his parents - this is the second last choice (i think) !! next up are tubbo, ranboo and michael, which should be fun, and they’ll be coming tomorrow at 7PM BST !! :D
for now, we got almost unanimous three votes, so let’s go !! well done for whoever picked up on the TWO info points in the last one: the prisoner being dehumanised to “it” and to ponk’s arm !! darian now knows his father blames himself for whatever happened to ponk (he won’t bring that up but he will remember it), and Also is about to ask about the prisoner >:) all the information points have been found for ponk and for sam :))
“Didn’t you mention Helga an’ James’ dads having something to do with this?” Darian asks before he can stop himself, and Wil’s eyes light up, something igniting behind them. “What do they have to do with anything?”
Wil grins at him, giving him a thumbs up as he stalks closer to whisper in his ear. Darian hears looks like they actually made a good choice, but doesn’t quite know what he means, but he’s used to hearing Wil speak nonsensically, so turns back to his dads expectantly instead.
“They... were kind of involved with keeping the prisoner locked up,” Ponk answers carefully, when Sam can’t, “well, one of them was. Quackity. The one with the beanie, you remember him?”
“Yeah.”
“Your dad was too.” Darian’s dads share a glance. Sam looks exhausted. “Him and Quackity were in charge, I guess, of keeping the prison running and the prisoner... inside. And that’s why he feels it’s his fault for Tommy dying.”
“Objectively, it was my fault,” Sam murmurs, but tries to push past the conversation, clearing his throat and forcing his expression neutral as his son looks at him curiously, “but- Yeah. Yeah, I used to be the Warden of the Vault.”
“You did?” Darian asks in surprise, eyes widening. “So you were there when it was built?”
Sam exhales through his teeth, and it’s almost a sad laugh. “I built it,” he says, “so yeah, I was there.”
“You?!” Darian tries to picture the building in his mind from the pictures Wil had shown him in the history books, incredulous. “But it’s huge!”
“Well, he’s a great builder,” Ponk says with some pride, knocking his arm against Sam affectionately, “he was the only one who knew completely how it worked. Not even Quackity did.”
Wil purses his lips. Darian frowns. “Then what did he do?” He asks curiously.
Ponk falters. Sam, getting to his feet, takes over, a note of finality in his voice.
“He was in charge of... of the prisoner. Of getting information out of it. It knew powerful magic, and Quackity tried to... talk... the prisoner into giving it up. He got it eventually. That’s all there really was to it, in the end.” He turns away, posture stiff, tired, just before something like regret crosses his face. “I think this conversation is over for now, okay? It’s- It’s getting late, and I think you know the whole story now, really.”
Darian doesn’t think he does. But he watches with a scrunched nose as Sam leaves the room, feeling disappointed, and watches Ponk get to his feet with a deep sigh.
“Sorry,” he says apologetically, “but at least we answered your questions. Pandora’s Vault was a prison for people put in there, and your dad ran it. He took his job quite seriously - really seriously - so he doesn’t like talking about it much.” A rueful smile crosses his face. “Is that alright?”
1. “THANK YOU FOR BEING HONEST.”
2. SAY NOTHING.
[UNLOCKED] 3. “WHY DID HE CALL THE PRISONER ‘IT’?”
