You seem to have slightly different versions of the diamonds in your clown AU, can we maybe see all of the diamonds and their designs?

The difference isn’t huge, there’s just a couple of changes, like Blues face being softer and her hair being wavier (get it? “Waves”), Yellow’s chest armor is also bigger and sharper, and I’m still working on White tbh. At some point I’d like to have some finished pieces of all the diamonds so they changes are clearer.

I’ve always liked the idea of White being Yellows mother figure, biological or not. I think they’d have a rocky relationship and wouldn’t see eye to eye on a lot of things, but if one was having a hard time the other would probably help a little

I always thought it was so odd that in Steven Universe they have a whole episode where Steven like projected himself into Lars' body and then him being able to do that was never mentioned again

#ok well thats not ENTIRELY true bc he did project himself into the watermelon Stevens but im pretty sure that was explained as them just #having a connection bc he magic spitted them to life and not because hes just able to astral project himself into other peoples' bodies #also thats just like a ridiculously overpowered ability to have. none of the other gems can do that its just Steven #except white diamond but i dont think that's the same #because she can control herself and other people at the same time #but they have to do everything shes doing and she cant really make them act individually #and Steven can only control one person and he has to fully leave his body #but his body isnt doing the same thing as him #anyways but why wasnt he able to use it to possess humans again? like maybe it was against his morals but like #wouldnt it have been so much easier to just possess someone in Beach City to tell his dad and the gems what was going on instead of #going through the stress of possessing a million watermelon Stevens? #if he cant control possessing people thats fine but i still think they should have mentioned it again #sorry for SU posting i just thought about it for the first time in a while and i remembered that that had always confused me

Has Steven ever interacted with the other diamonds? I assume Star would be with him to protect him just in case. Would at least Blue like to listen to Steven singing?

Steven’s met each of them at least once. Yellow Diamond thinks he’s a nuisance. She thinks that she and Blue are spoiling Star by letting him keep Steven, but she can’t say no to Blue.

Blue Diamond knows Steven makes Star happy so she lets him stay, but she def still sees him as just a pet. I think Steven has probably accidentally found his way to Blue while looking for Star. But the moment Star finds him with BD he’d snatch him away and probably scold him.

As for White, I’ll talk abt that in more detail at some point, but the one time Steven was near her taught him to never go near her head.

By the time Steven meets Connie, he knows all of the diamonds aren’t good to Star, even if he doesn’t say it.

not reblogging cause this is that white girl that caused all that discourse around the sayhername hash tag, but I wanted to make a response. like obviously she ra and su are for kids but if you're gonna tackle heavy subjects like war and colonialism which all these shows do explicitly, it's a little jarring when the end result is...singing songs and open arms. Like atla had a lotta problems in regards to the narrative views of actions by victims of said colonialism (hama, jet, etc.) But at least in the end ozai was unquestionably the bad guy and treated as such. aang didn't kill him but he was in the end dethroned and imprisoned for his numerous war crimes (high key iroh should've been too, but that would've required an entire story rewrite). In su, the diamonds killed their own kind for eons and even planned to destroy earth. Blue Diamond had a human zoo and this was supposed to be seen as 'cute'. They were literally called Zoomans! Like no Steven himself shouldn't have shattered the diamonds cause no kid should have blood on their hands but idk why in the entire episode of Bismuth's introduction we were suppose to be scared of her and view her as incorrect when the Diamonds literally killed all of her comrades save for the crystal gems. like the diamonds were reformed and now use their powers for 'good' but whose to say that can't change.

#white diamond was for the longest built up to be this omnipotent hellish force of order and uniformity at the cost of millions of lives #and in the last episode she's like hugging and crying on steven #i dont think that can even be blamed on the cutting down of the show's episodes #like sorry im in the 'the diamonds should not have been reformed at all' camp #villains can just stay villains #and going back to the blue diamond thing #that zooman shit always weirded me out #like obv humans arent immortal so like for thousands of years these mfers were just trapped there #living breeding and dying with no intention from the diamonds to be taken back to earth #thats is extremely fucked up to me lbs #and blue was supposed to be seen as the most sympathetic diamond next to pink #sorry to put this on your dash mutuals thus been sitting in the drafts for a minute
