not to be goddamn weird and off topic, but there is something incredibly vindicating about watching a show with a greatly entertaining cast, but focusing on the one angry little fucker with a twinkle in his eye and knowing that he can serve cunt if they let him, and then he absolutely does in the second season and being so glad that they didn't kill him off because death of a character doesn't have to be death it can also be change, in the death of their former self and that is so much more rewarding than killing a character off for shock value. i am talking about izzy hands.

the silent intro was probably the best part of the whole movie. when i watched that, there was NO sound. everyone watching along was deathly silent. it reminded me of the minute of silence people take when in mourning or remembrance and i started fucking sobbing straight away. it was a beautiful way to pay respects towards such a legend.

Bernard Cribbins, I salute you.

I grew up watching Cribbins, at first at the age of 7 in the Railway Children then in series 4 of Doctor Who as Wilfred Mott at the age of 9. Wilf quickly became one of my all time favourite companions and characters in the show period. He still is.

I’m pretty sure everyone in the U.K. is mourning the loss of Cribbins. I now feel even more privileged to have seen Dr Who: Dalek Invasion of Earth 2150 AD at the cinema the other week, because he was fantastic in it as he was in anything.

To quote my mum: ‘the world has ended’ or at least it feels like it, because the impact he has had really did span generations.
