A Simple Favor (2018)

This movie had been on my watchlist for quite sometime but I always kept forgetting until now when I’m running short on content.

I enjoyed this movie so fckn much idek why 😂

Blake Lively is a fckn goddess. She’s basically female Ryan Reynolds with her reactions & the Aviation Gin promotion 😂 She in those lovely suits can hold me at a gunpoint anytime, mami 🥵🔫

Anna Kendrick was amazing as well. She got the whole set to make out with, including Dustin Milligan (the whole step bro and child angle was wild af 🤯)

Lastly I just want to say this - how hot is HENRY GOLDING?? 🥵🔥 he was cute in Crazy Rich Asians and all I get it but in this his character is 10x hotter. Also his acting was much better in this than CRA I guess.

The only complaints I have is 1)I feel Sean & Stephanie should’ve ended up together. 2)I thought I’d get to see a threesome between Sean Stephanie & Emily but damn

Need a sequel asap wherein it’s Emily vs Sean for Stephanie 🤣

Lmao this is so random but funny story, I recently discovered that Not Another Teen Movie was a parody of She’s All That, the movie I used to watch on an MOD channel at 12.15am for just 6 minutes of free time 😂

So I rewatched it. My opinion is what it was in 2009. [Unpopular opinion] I still don’t like Zack and after seeing Chris Evans in that role, definitely not 😹 I guess NATM in general, ruined my childhood love for the film 🤣 I was more of a Dean person even though I now understand what a bas**** he was. But can you blame me??? He was so hot 🥵 His smile!!! his golden hair!!! His eye rolls!! 🙄

Another discovery- Dean was played by Paul Walker. Golden boy Brian O’Conner from the F&F movies (I’ll make some gifs on those later maybe once I’m done with the rewatch)

I mean it’s not like I can’t believe because Paul was infact gorgeous but, it’s like I’ve always known about his death since 2013 but now knowing he was my middle-school crush all along and having a terrible coping mechanism with death, it’s suddenly hit me hard like a 🚛 or sumn.

Nvm. Thankfully I have other things I should focus on during this new lockdown so that I can clear my final year and get my degree.

Also he’s been in so many things so I can just binge them instead of crying.

So today I’m using this post like a tribute / appreciation thing (?) for one of the most beautiful people to walk on the surface of the earth and my middle school (villain) crush - Paul Walker as Dean Sampson Jr. in She’s All That.

(Ps- The locker room scene is particularly my fav because his expressions are gold!!)

The exact moment I fell in love ♥️ The innocence and then how his devilish intentions are visible on this face with a twinkle in his eye ✨ (How I wish they gave his character some kind of development nvm)

I never thought I’d say this but this guy (whom I’ve never liked) really touch the depths of my heart in TFATWS! And Sebastian Stan really pulled it off so well with his purity & raw emotions. 💖

This show was such a mess on the whole tbh. But Ep 6 was so worth it! Sam becoming Captain Angel👼🏻 America and John Walker becoming the US Agent (I loved Russell’s performance!) And SHARON????? That twist omg!!! Almost like as if she’s avenging on others just because of the terrible treatment she got from the R*ssos🥴 The Dora Milaje???? AND ZEMO???? 🤑

White Collar became such an integral part of my working life (pre April 2021 lockdown). Best 45 minutes of my day I used to desperately wait for. A much needed break after clinics for me. Also, such a learning experience. I’ve learnt so much about friendships, love, and a lil conning 😉

Its been a week since I finished EIP but I’m still not over Lucas Bravo as Gabriel ... Y’all, idk who needs to hear this but Camille is NOT goody two shoes. She’s just as bad as Gabriel. Yes Emily and Gabriel are cheaters which is so not cool and all that but Camille is a very dominating girlfriend and y’all need to stop idolizing her just because she has a pretty smile.

(Nope babe, THIS AIN’T IT)

She treats Gabriel almost the same way her mother treated her father. ✌🏻

Her forcing the loan on Gabriel isn’t “kind”, its plain dominating. Camille basically had her eyes on money and indirectly put Gabriel down for it.

(Well guess what Cami? If he wants to work, he can work, he should work 😌)

The only reason she’s any good with Emily is because Emily is a new friend and you don’t behave wrong with a friend.

Nobody sees how poorly Gabriel is being treated in his relationship but “omg poor Camille is being cheated on by her boyfriend, she deserves better” while she’s shown constantly emasculating Gabriel is just double standards.

PSA- I kinda did a movie marathon ft Channing Tatum and I’ve developed such a phat crush on him istg😩 Like at first sight he looks too pretty for acting then u watch his movies esp Jump Street series n Magic Mike and the goofiness? The frat energy? The abs? Those moves!!!! That smile????? Instant dreamland ☁️ Indeed the sexiest man alive. And ofc a great actor ☺️

I knew about him in 2017 when my friend used to have a crush n I was like he’s not that hot but now that I’ve seen his movies n interviews, his latest post kinda worries me. He’s seems very down to earth and it’s sad he had to take a break, undergo a bad phase. But I hope he bounces back soon. He has one of the most entertaining filmography I’ve seen with any actor, the variety of genres is so fascinating, he deserves his spot back!

Because I'm lately into Glee and I came across 3x06 which has Finn outing Santana, and I've read so many people hate Finn for it, call him problematic and all, I have something to say.

Unpopular opinion but Finn wasn't completely wrong.

Again, I ain't appreciating what Finn did. What he did was extremely inappropriate and he should've handled the situation in a better way because it legit destroyed Santana.

But....

Let's face it, Santana had it coming.

Santana has been so annoying since the beginning of S3, she isn't even a b*tch, b*tches are brutal and badass, she is just a whinny bully who loves to insult people. And she has particularly been so mean towards Finn, body shaming him all the goddamn time. Even when she went to apologise she kept constantly ranting about Finn's body, she used his body issues to insult him so in the heat of the moment Finn gave her a taste of her own medicine.

Santana was a bully and she needed to be shown her place.

Again, I agree outing someone who hasn't come out yet is bad, but constant body shaming is equally horrible. Many people don't agree to this, but body shaming is one of the major causes of depression and su*cide among teens.

Like Rachel has said, Santana can hit people but cannot take it when she's hit.

Just this one thing doesn't make Finn a problematic person. Finn makes hella mistakes but he had his heart in the right place hence he rightly apologizes (or maybe sings for the person). He was just an angry, helpless, and constantly bullied (by Santana and the rest) and he just couldn't take it.

But the same can't be said for Santana. She was an arrogant person who bullied her way out and never apologized or even felt remotely sorry. It's funny how everybody finds her insults fun (is it because she's a girl? And oh because she has feelings for Brittany? She even bullied poor Rory for it but that's ok isn't it)

Let's just say if Santana turned others' weaknesses into insults, she got back the same from Finn and she should've shut up instead of constantly pressing where it hurts.

In short, BOTH of them were at fault but y'all are surely not ready for this conversation because

Santana- *insults, body shames, bullies, doesn't even feel sorry*

Stans- Wow, what a queen! Woohoo!

Finn- *tit for tat, then also apologises genuinely*

Stans- What a jerk. He's so pathetic. How can he out Santana like that? What a piece of trash. The worst character ever. Santana carried the show, she was right in bullying him, blah blah blah blah.

🚨VENT POST, PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR THE EDITS IN CASE YOU DON'T WANT TO READ🚨

Just like what Ryan Murphy said in his interview, I lately discovered Glee on Netflix 2 weeks ago and have been completely hooked to it. Its kinda problematic and not the perfect show, but like a guilty pleasure of mine now. And suddenly in the first episode i fell in love with this guy

So like many, I googled him up. It showed

CORY MONTEITH

I didn't really read in detail, just scrolled down and I read 'Lea Michele - Former Partner' and i thought maybe he's single currently. I kept scrolling and suddenly i read - 'Cory Monteith dead aged 31'

My heart almost stopped.

All of a sudden I was hit by a truck

I was at such a loss of words. I'm still in denial, everything feels like some bad dream. Ever since then tears have rolled down from my eyes whenever I'm done with an episode. I've also started watching behind the scenes and Cory was so gorgeously goofy in them, i feel like sobbing after every video - be it the rollercoaster, the flip cam, award show hosting and interviews et all.

I'm venting this down today because I suddenly feel this affecting my mental health and I dont have moots because there still isn't much awareness about this show among my irls and almost everyone on the internet has probably gotten over with it in the past 7 years. I'm sad not just because Cory is no more - I'm sad because I did not get to cherish his life when he was around. I was probably a 10 year old in the Gulf with no information about this show. And i dont think i knew I would fall in love with someone who'll be gone forever by the time.

I'm still trying my level best to put things behind and cherish his memories but the scar that phrase left on my heart is probably here to stay. I still can't wrap my head around the fact that I'm never going to see my latest crush Cory Monteith again. NEVER EVER. I keep imagining what the scenario could've been if he were here today. He was already a sensation, today he'd have been a huge acclaimed star and one of the most handsome men in the world with ladies going crazy for him such as myself. The dimpled smile, the freckles, the god gifted height, the immensely deep eyes deserved so much more, I just wonder why God took him away from all of us.

It sucks being late but gosh I miss you way too much Cory 💔😭. I hope you're in a better place now 👼. I love you, forever. - M
