Inspired by the Grimm brothers and how they collected and published German folk tales to preserve the tradition, I designed covers for 7 Colombian myths and legends. This one is for the Mountain Mother or “La Madremonte” a story about a woman dressed in leaves and branches who lives in the middle of the forest. She takes care of the rain and wind and goes after hunters and lumberjacks. A true hero!

Mim’s is an imaginary brand designed for an alternate universe in which humans aren’t the leading species. This box serves as a prop for this fictional planet and was designed along with a newspaper that gives context for this universe.

This is a project I worked on for LAND Studio, RTA and the Cleveland Foundation about hyphenated identities. Twenty-five artists were selected to interpret different passages of books that have been recipients of the Anisfield-Wolf Book Awards. This piece, in particular, was inspired by Peter Ho Davies' "The Fortunes". The image will be up for a year and you can see it live on the RTA’s Red Line in Cleveland.
