Could you do a one shot where it’s a little after season 1 of sword art online and suguah gets a boyfriend and invites him to her house and kazuto is home and is protective over here not in a romance way though in a older brother way
A Little Overprotective (Suguha + Overprotective Brother Kazuto)
A/N: i'm sorry again that this has taken awhile, hopefully it isn't too bad!! T^T
Warnings: overprotective bro, probably a little ooc and ott
When Suguha had invited her boyfriend over to dinner, she hadn't anticipated that Kazuto would have such a huge problem with it. The moment he had walked through the door, the black-haired male had fixed him with a harsh glare.
When the two of them sat in front of the TV to watch a show, Kazuto made sure to plant himself firmly between the pair. If her boyfriend spoke out about something, Kazuto had to counter back with something else.
Now, sitting at the dining table, Kazuto had yet to move his glare off of her boyfriend. She sat beside him, picking at her plate awkwardly, glancing to her side every now and then. She appreciated that he was simply brushing it off, chalking it down to "typical brother behaviour", but it was annoying.
Once they had finished eating, Suguha stood to take the dishes out to be washed. Her boyfriend had immediately offered to help, as she knew he would, but she simply shook her head with a smile.
“Kazuto, why don’t you come and help me?” She fixed her brother with a smile, trying to suppress her anger. His dark eyes widened at her question, finally moving away from the other boy. He simply nodded; if anything, he was probably glad that he could make sure they weren’t alone in the kitchen together.
The sound of water filling the sink hung between the two of them as Suguha fought for what to say. Where her anger had started as a small annoyance, she now found it bubbling within her, threatening to spill over.
So she yelled, “What is your problem?!”
Kazuto seemed taken aback, his hand hovering above one of their dirty plates. He turned to face her, eyebrows furrowed together.
“You have been glaring at him all day!” She tried to keep her voice down, for fear of disturbing the male probably waiting in the living room. “He has done nothing wrong, so what the hell is wrong with you?!”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” His voice sounded so nonchalant, his attention turning back to the plates. Without another word, he took hold of one and began to wash away.
“From the moment we got home, you have been staring at him! When we were trying to watch TV, you decided to come and sit right between us. When he tried to make conversation, you had to shut him down.” All of her anger was overflowing, falling from her lips as she clenched her hands into fists. As her brother was about to take hold of another place, she grabbed his wrist and spun him to face her. “So, what is your problem?!”
“I don’t trust him.”
Suguha scoffed, rolling her eyes. “Don’t trust him? You don’t even know him!”
“I’ve heard enough about him to conclude that he’s bad news.” The boy explained, fixing his sister with narrow eyes. “If I’d known he was the person you were dating, I would have stepped in a long time ago.”
“You think I don’t know about the rumours?” Suguha shook her head. Of course she knew; it was all over the school. She herself had believed them at one point, but after the two were partnered on a school project, she grew to like him. He revealed sides to himself that she hadn’t even expected.
“If you know, then why are you with him?” Kazuto’s voice had now taken on a tone of frustration, the dirty plates forgotten on the counter.
“Because I gave him a chance!” She quipped, crossing her arms over her chest. “Not all of the rumours are true; there’s more to him than just gossip and stories.”
“I don’t want you to get hurt.” Kazuto’s voice softened slightly, his lips turning down in a frown.
Suguha sighed, placing a hand on his arm gently. “I won’t get hurt. And if, somehow, I do, I know you’ll be there to kick his ass for me.” She fixed her brother with a small smile.
“Promise you’ll tell me if he does something - anything - to hurt you?” He held out his pinky.
She linked her pinky through his, smiling, “I promise.”

A Not So Happy Birthday (Kirito x Reader)
A/N: soo this took me forever to get around to, i have phases where i use tumblr super frequently and then dodge it for ages so i am sORry this has taken so long T^T
Warnings: angsty, probably kinda ooc cause it's been so long since i watched SAO, happy end tho?
Jolting awake, you felt your breath coming in short, raspy gasps for air. A light sheen of sweat covered your forehead. Another nighmare. You would have thought you'd be used to them by now; you had them every night. Ever since you finally escaped that wretched game, the nightmares had haunted you.
After it ended, you thought it was over. You hoped that you would never have to suffer at the hands of the game again. But you were wrong.
Every night was a new horror waiting for you. Each morning - without fail - you woke up in your bed, sweating, shaking, sometimes screaming.
Except this time, there was a lone balloon tied to the end of your hospital bed, reminding you that it was your birthday. Your nurses had left it there to make you feel better, you presumed. And you were appreciative of their concern, yet it made you feel worse.
It reminded you that the friends you had made in the game had already been discharged. Hell, even your boyfriend had already been released from the hospital, having passed all of his physical and mental wellbeing checks.
Only you remained. Still weak, still frail. Still haunted by what had happened.
A glass of water had been left at your bedside from last night. You grasped it with both hands, watching as the remaining water shook from your unsteady grip. It helped your dry throat, but didn't help the nerves that had made a home in the pit of your stomach.
Knock.
You turned your attention to the door, figuring that a nurse had come to check up on you. Putting the glass back down, you did your best to appear presentable - well, as presentable as you could be first thing in the morning, wearing a hospital gown.
"Come in." You spoke, your voice immediately giving you away with how feeble it sounded.
The door opened to reveal your boyfriend: Kazuto Kirigaya, or as you called him, Kirito. Whilst the two of you had known each other before the incident, you had grown far closer within the confines of the game. Eventually, he had confessed to you, and you had done the same for him.
"I know it's kind of early, sorry." He smiled sheepishly at you, closing the door behind himself. Immediately, you noticed his hands hiding behind his back, a faint blush in his cheeks.
"You're hiding something."
He laughed nervously, "It's that obvious?"
You simply rolled your eyes, the corner of your lip pulling up in a smile. The mere sight of him was enough to melt the edges of your nerves. Though they would still remain throughout the day, you knew you would feel better with him at your side.
"Well, happy birthday." Kirito pulled up a chair to sit beside you, handing over a small box wrapped in shiny, silver wrapping paper. A bow had been tied on top, accompanied by an envelope. "I know you haven't been feeling... great, but I want you to know that I'm here for you. I'll always be here."
Tears pricked at the back of your eyes; it was such a simple gesture, yet it meant the world to you. Sniffling gently, you fought to hold them back, instead carefully tearing at the present.
It opened to reveal a notebook. It had a pure white cover, adorned with leaves and flowers of all colours. The pages were neatly lined, with minimal decoration: a detailed leaf in one corner, some flowers across the top of the page. It was beautiful.
You looked to him, fumbling for the right words. "I-I don't know what to say. It's beautiful. Thank you."
"You always mentioned that you wanted to start a journal, so I thought it would be fitting." His dark eyes met yours, full of love and adoration. You were surprised he had even remembered; you mentioned it once in passing; it was something you had always wanted to do, but after becoming trapped in the game, you feared it was something you may never have the chance to do.
But now you could.
"And I meant what I said before." He spoke again, taking your hand in his. "I know you don't want to talk about them - your nightmares - but I am here if you ever need to. You're not alone in how you're feeling."
"I know." You breathed, squeezing his fingers tightly. A brief silence hung between the two of you. Kirito leaned forward, pressing his lips to your forehead ever so softly.
He took you in his arms, allowing you to rest your head against his chest. You closed your eyes, focusing on the sound of his steady heartbeat. It was soothing. As much as you hated what that game had done to both of you, you also appreciated it for bringing the two of you together.
"I love you, Kirito."
"I love you, too."

A Golden House Full of Golden Tears (Chilumi) - Part 2
A/N: idk why this ended up being two parts but i had an idea and i went with it sO here is my part two :D
Warnings: angsty cause that’s all i’m good for, slight violence, a tiny mention of death?? sort of???, also slight story spoilers if you haven’t played to the Golden House
Part 1 / Part 2
Childe.
Focus on the job.
He had tried. Truly, he had. It was never his intention to get involved with the infamous traveler from Mondstadt. All he wanted was to get in, get what was wanted, and then get out.
But once he saw her eyes - those beautiful, golden eyes - he had fallen. Her eyes always embraced the world so openly, always inquiring, always seeing the good in everything. Hell, she had managed to see the good in him, too.
Don't involve yourself with her more than necessary.
Yet Childe knew the moment he first spoke to her that he was going to be in it for the long haul. Simple questions meant to gather information turned into questions about her, what she wanted, where she was from, what she seemed so intent on finding. Childe wanted to know everything.
  You're with the Fatui, remember?
He knew. Of course he knew. He would have forsaken everything if it meant he could spend just another moment with her. The Fatui meant nothing to him, as long as he could see her smile, watch her eyes light up as he humoured her with a bad joke. Beautiful was a understatement for someone like herself.
As he turned to face her, standing in the entrance of the Golden House, rain dripping from every part of her body, he felt everything falling apart. It took every ounce of his self control to hold back from running over and taking her in his arms. If only he could stroke her hair, tell her that everything was going to be okay.
But he couldn't.
Instead, he put on his facade. He turned the corners of his lips up in a smirk and greeted her, "You're late, girlie. I didn't think you'd show."
"What are you doing?" Her voice was strained. Of course he noticed as her hands clamped into fists. Childe wanted to take her hands in his own, stop her shaking by rubbing gentle circles into her palm. "Answer me."
At least he could finally be honest, "Taking the Gnosis. What does it look like?" It hurt him to speak to her like that, as if he didn't care. The opposite was true; he cared for her so much that it scared him. To have to lie to her, to pretend that it wasn't going to end with them both getting hurt was so very difficult.
  "But you said-"
"That I loved you?" But he did. "That the Fatui meant nothing to me as long as we could be together?" He would have done, though. Without even a second thought.
"They were lies?"
"Sure were." He forced the words out through gritted teeth before he could convince himself otherwise. Childe always knew that he wasn't a good guy; he could never deserve someone like her. If this was what he had to do to make her see that, then so be it. He could play his part. "It was a fun game while it lasted though, right?"
Childe noticed every quiver of her lip, every tear that rolled slowly down her cheek. Every shaky inhale, the trembling of her fingers as she took hold of her sword. Each felt like a stab through his chest and he couldn't breathe.
Lumine stepped forward, raising her sword towards him. With a heavy heart, he grabbed his bow. He didn't want to fight her - not now, not ever. Yet he knew he had to. But surely he could stall for a little longer? Hear her voice just a few more times?
He stalled, "But it's strange. You would've thought a place housing such an important object would be more heavily guarded, no?"
It worked: she paused for a moment.
"It's almost as if it isn't here." Slowly, he drew an arrow from the bag on his back, resting it against his bow. He held it up, carefully aiming towards her, but above her head. "Did you know?"
"Y-You don't get to ask me questions." There was a venom in her voice that he had never heard before. A brewing anger aimed directly at him. And he would gladly bear the brunt of it.
Her small frame began to walk towards him, a fire burning in the depths of her eyes. He didn't want to fight. He couldn't fight her.
All he could do was attempt to stall even more. So he continued, trying to rid himself of all guilt, "There's another plan. There was always another plan." He forced himself to chuckle, though he knew it was empty. Could she sense that he was just playing his part? "Osial. I'm sure he's awakening even as we speak."
"You don't mean-"
An arrow slipped from his fingers, flying past her body. He wouldn't actually aim for her; he would never wish to harm her. As she dodged, he loosed another arrow towards her. Childe prayed that she would give up and leave.
But instead she ran at him. Part of him was still surprised, despite expecting her to fight back. He tried to jump backwards, but she was faster. She had always been faster. It was one of the things he admired about her; how strong she really was. Her skills with a sword were nothing to be scoffed at.
And so he ended up sprawled on the floor, her foot pressing his chest down. The tip of her sword was pressing into his chest. If it was anyone else, he would have fought back. But it was her. And he didn't want to live with her disappointment. He didn't want to be the reason for that pain he now saw shining in her eyes.
"Do it." He smiled up at her, wanting her to end it for him.
She began to cry. Huge streams of tears rolled down her cheeks, sobs made her chest heave and the sword fell from her hands. Plunging the sword through his chest would have hurt far less than seeing her in that very moment.
Childe fought to suppress the thousand apologies on the tip of his tongue.
You don't deserve her.
He never would.
Let her go.
So he did.
"I'll never forgive you for this." She told him, before breaking into a run.
He would never forgive himself either.

A Golden House Full of Golden Tears (Chilumi)
A/N: hi i’m obsessed with chilumi cause of fanart on twitter and i’ve been wanting to write for them for ages so here we go :D
Warnings: angsty cause that’s all i’m good for, slight violence, a tiny mention of death?? sort of???, also slight story spoilers if you haven’t played to the Golden House
Part 1 / Part 2
Lumine.
Don't trust him.
Everyone had told her the very same thing. At first, she tried to heed their warnings. She kept her guard up when she was around him; never sharing too much, always keeping her walls firmly up. Yet as time passed, more emotions began to slip through the cracks. She found herself smiling a little too much, sharing a little too much, loving a little too much.
He's with the Fatui, remember?
She knew. Of course she knew. It was the one thing that remained firmly lodged at the back of her mind, hanging over her like a shadow. But he made her feel as though titles didn't mean anything. The kindness he showed towards her felt real. The feelings he confessed to her were real.
Or so he convinced her.
You'll only get hurt.
They were right. The thought dawned on her as she stood in the Golden House, rain dripping from her hair, plastering her clothes against her skin. Her heart slowly shattering, as she had been warned so many times, watching his blue eyes turn to face her.
"You're late, girlie. I didn't think you'd show." His voice was airy, nonchalant. The same voice that had whispered secret I love yous and showered her with affection. The same voice she had fallen hopelessly in love with.
But now it belonged to a stranger.
"What are you doing?" Her voice came out as a strained whisper. Lumine felt her throat closing, the tears forcing their way to the back of her eyes. Her hands curled into fists, her nails digging sharply into the flesh of her palms. "Answer me."
"Taking the Gnosis. What does it look like?" One corner of his lips pulled upwards in a smirk. It wasn't the gentle smiles she was used to seeing. The smiles that warmed her heart, reassured her when she felt weak. Instead it was cold. Calculated.
  "But you said-"
"That I loved you? That the Fatui meant nothing to me as long as we could be together?"
"They were lies?"
"Sure were." His reponse was instant. "It was a fun game while it lasted, though!"
She opened her mouth, but there were no words. Her lips quivered as the tears began to spill, rolling slowly down her cheeks. Lumine's legs were wobbling beneath her, unable to bear the weight of her shattering heart.
Even so, she forced herself to grab her sword. Though her fingers felt numb, she tightened them around the hilt, holding it out in front of her. Childe smiled at that, removing his bow from his back. When they first met, she had always told him that she would be more than happy to fight him if he so much as stepped slightly out of line.
But she never thought it would actually happen.
As she took a shaky step forward, bringing her sword upwards, Childe spoke again, "But it's strange. You would've thought a place housing such an important object would be more heavily guarded, no?"
Lumine blinked.
"It's almost as if it isn't here." He took a step forward, drawing an arrow from the bag on his back. His nimble fingers placed it quickly upon the bow, aiming it directly at the blonde. "Did you know?"
"Y-You don't get to ask me questions." Lumine tried to steady her voice, but she knew that the strain gave her away. Even as she walked towards him, she prayed - begged - that his demeanor would change. A gentle smile, the loving eyes she would never grow tired of looking back into.
  Don't be ridiculous.
"It doesn't matter. There's another plan. There was always another plan." He chuckled, the sound reverberating around the chamber. Golden eyes narrowed at the boy, half inquiring as to what he meant and half pleading with him to stop. "Osial. I'm sure he's awakening even as we speak."
Lumine had heard about Osial before, read about the events in books. Zhongli had shared tales of the events when she had inquired. Above all, she was warned of the danger Osial would pose.
  "You don't mean-"
He loosed his arrow.
Lumine ducked, rolling easily out of the way. Her eyes were wide, her breathing labored. She didn't want to fight him. She didn't want this. Before she even had the chance to react, there was another arrow flying her way.
She dodged, breaking into a sprint as she closed the gap between them both. For a moment, Childe's eyes went wide; she had caught him off guard. Though he tried to jump backwards, Lumine's foot shot out, causing him to stumble backwards.
His bow fell out of his hands and she kicked it away, placing her other foot on his chest to hold him in place. Pale fingers trembled around the hilt of her sword as she pressed the tip of the metal to his chest.
"Do it." He smiled up at her, spreading his palms as if accepting defeat.
Lumine pressed her lips together, the tears finally overtaking her. They streamed down her cheeks, a sob finally breaking through her lips. As much as she wanted to scream at him, she couldn't. She wanted to shout until her voice broke, but she couldn't. She wanted to tell him how badly he had hurt her, how she would never trust again, but she couldn't.
The sword fell from her hands, clattering to the floor beside his head. His brows furrowed as she stepped away from him. Did he really think she would have the strength to kill him?
Lumine took another step backwards, taking a deep breath. She took one last look at the male she had come to love and her heart swelled. Images flashed through her mind; the times they had spent together, the laughs they had shared, the memories they had made.
It all meant nothing to him.
"I'll never forgive you for this." She whispered.
And then she turned and broke into a run.

Before I Go - Part 2 (Bakugou Katsuki x Reader)
A/N: so a lot of ppl asked for a part two of this and i debated writing one in the first place, so here it is!! it’s still a little angsty and i’m sorry if it isn’t great but i wanted to end it on a little happier note
Pairing: Bakugou Katsuki x Reader
Warnings: angsty but has a happy ending, slight mentions of harm, makes my heart hurt
Part 1 / Part 2
When you woke the following morning, instinct was the first to kick in, making you want to head to Bakugou's room so you could both start your morning with one another. But the sore ache lingering in the back of your throat reminded you of the events that had transpired the previous day.
Instead, you stayed in bed, your eyes staring blankly at the ceiling. You heard soft footsteps moving around in the halls. Soft laughter seeped through the floor as everyone met in the common room, musing about what was for breakfast.
You stayed there until everyone had left, presumably thinking that you were taking the day off sick. Only then did you emerge and stumble your way to campus, your heart feeling as though it were completely weighing you down. The lessons faded together, sounding like a mere cacophony of noise fighting against the ringing in the back of your mind.
It was hard not to glance over at your now ex-boyfriend, wondering if he was looking at you, too. Was he thinking about you? Did he even care how much he had hurt you? Did he even realise?
When lunch came around, you didn't head to the cafeteria with everyone else. You just couldn't act as if everything was okay, when your whole world was crumbling around you. Instead, you headed outside to eat by yourself under the shade of a tree, where the wind could wipe away your tears gently.
"Y/N," A voice called out to you, "what are you doing out here?"
You glanced up to find Izuku rushing towards you. His green eyes were narrowed, brows knitting together as he frowned at you. If anybody was going to realise that something was off, it was going to be Izuku. You should have realised that you wouldn't be able to hide your pain from him.
"I just wanted to get some fresh air." You lied, praying that your quivering voice wouldn't give you away so easily. "What's up?"
"I'm worried about you. You really think you can hide this from me?"
You sighed, "Of course not. It doesn't mean I won't try."
"Something happened with Kacchan, right?" Trust him to hit the nail on the head. He sat himself beside you and you felt a sense of comfort just from having a friend beside you. "Do you want to talk about it?"
"I can't." You breathed, knowing that if you even attempted to cast your mind back to the previous day, you would only break down in neverending sobs. "He just... he said some really horrid things, Izuku."
"I'm sure he didn't mean them," Izuku said softly, trying to meet your eyes with a soft smile.
Your eyes darted upwards for a brief moment, but the sight of his kind eyes only brought you to tears. You ended up spilling all of the details to him, and he simply sat beside you, holding you close to him as you choked your way through the story. His head rested upon yours, your lunch now forgotten on the floor as tears cascaded down your neck and soaked into the collar of your shirt.
"I'm so sorry, Y/N. Even if he didn't mean it, he should never have said those things to you." Izuku muttered, disdain laced into his voice. His hand rubbed your shoulder, trying to let you know that he was there for you.
At some point, your tears had stopped. But your chest was burning, your face covered in sad streaks; a dead giveaway of your true feelings. There was no way you could go back to class in such a state.
Izuku was kind enough to pass on a message that you were feeling unwell, so you returned to the dorms and hid away in your room. When you got back, you sent him a text to let him know that you were grateful.
You managed to return the next day, but it had become painfully evident to everyone in the class that something had happened. Bakugou couldn't look anyone in the eye. You refused to speak to anyone. He spent his entire week hiding out in the training room, adding more burns to a growing collection on his forearms. You sought comfort beneath your bedsheets, where your cries were muffled and the pillow caught your tears.
A week passed in this fashion, with your classmates discussing how they could help in hushed whispers when they thought you couldn't hear. As much as you appreciated their concern, you didn't really want other people to involve themselves in your problems.
As you were hiding away in bed one evening, your eyes staring at your phone screen blankly, a knock disturbed you. Your eyes gazed over to the doorframe, wondering if you had misheard; surely someone wouldn't be visiting so late.
Before you could even respond, a voice called out to you, "Y/N, I know you're in there. Let me in please; we need to talk."
Just the sound of his voice made your heart wilt. If you hadn't already cried yourself dry, new tears would have sprouted behind your eyes. You shifted beneath your bedsheets, dragging your feet as you made your way over to the door.
Your hand paused on the handle, "I don't know if I want to talk to you right now."
"Please." Bakugou's voice took on a tone that you had never heard before. There was a slight quiver in his voice, his words laced with pain. For the first time, he sounded vulnerable.
Your heart ached for the boy that you loved. Against your better judgement, you pulled open the door. His hair was dishevelled, there was a sheen of sweat covering his forehead. You could see the burns dancing upon his forearms. Instinctively, you reached out, brushing your fingertips gently across his skin.
"Don't do this to yourself anymore, Bakugou." You pleaded with him, finally meeting his crimson gaze after so long. Though his eyes usually hid how he felt, you could see the guilt in them.
"Can I come in?"
You nodded, stepping aside for him. You closed the door behind, allowing the two of you some privacy.
"I'm not even sure where to begin... Everything I said to you... It was awful, and I wish I'd never fucking said it. I'm such a goddamn asshole. I was so selfish and so angry." His words seemed to blend together; he was just fighting to spit them out. Bakugou knew he should have planned what he wanted to say beforehand, but he had so many feelings that everything came tumbling out at once. "I can't believe I could hurt you like that, Y/N. I'm so fucking sorry. Nothing I say will ever make it up to you, and I know that, but I really hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me."
You murmured, "I just wanted to help you, Bakugou."
"I know. I know you did. But I was so hurt, and so angry, and so frustrated. Not only getting taken like that, but putting you and everyone else in danger when you came to save me. If something had happened to you, I would never have forgiven myself." He looked back at you, his arms hanging by his sides.
"And I'll never forgive myself for letting you be taken."
"But it wasn't your fault, Y/N."
"It wasn't your fault, either."
Both of you paused at that. Without even knowing, you both had been blaming yourselves. You felt that you had let him down by not being able to get him back. He felt that he had let you down by putting you in danger.
You spoke, "We shouldn't blame ourselves for something that the League of Villains chose to do. What happened is on them, and nobody else."
"I know." Bakugou's eyes turned to the floor. You could see that it was so hard for him; he usually liked to have control over his situations. He hated to think that there was something he couldn't fix, or something he couldn't do. "I know I need to stop blaming myself for All Might's retirement, but it's so hard."
"I know."
"It just overwhelmed me, and I lashed out at you." The corners of his lips turned down in a frown. As much as you wanted to punish him, you know that you both had suffered enough. Your hand grasped his, interlocking his fingers with yours. "I don't deserve you, Y/N, and I never will."
You pulled him into a tight hug, the tears finally spilling down your cheeks. You buried your face into his neck, finding comfort in his familiar smell of burnt caramel mixed with a tinge of sweat. His entire body felt so tense, but it seemed to melt away as you embraced him. His shoulders seemed to shake against yours and you knew that he was crying, too.
"I love you so much, Bakugou Katsuki." You breathed, pressing a kiss to his neck softly. You felt his fingers dragging across your back, trying to pull you ever closer to him. "You mean the world to me and I hate to see you in pain."
"I love you too, Y/N. I only ever want to protect you." He whispered, his voice heavy with his tears that he had fought so desperately to hold back. As much as he would have accepted your decision if you chose not to forgive him, he was so glad that you had.
"Listen, why don't you make yourself comfortable and we can watch a movie?" You suggested, finally pulling away to show him a big smile. You wiped the tears from under your eyes and he nodded, his head turned to the floor to hide the tears on his cheeks. "I'll grab us some snacks."
He mumbled, "Thank you."
With a nod, you made your way over the door. You paused, glancing over your shoulder as you asked, "Before I go, do you want anything?"

Before I Go - Part 1 (Bakugou Katsuki x Reader)
A/N: i’ve been in an angsty mood lately so i wanted to write this, apologies for it being bad and also my angry pomeranian would never be this mean bUT I WANT FEELS OK GJNDFJ
Pairing: Bakugou Katsuki x Reader
Warnings: angsty angst angst, swearing bc bakugou, spoilers for season three, probably kinda bad also i’m sorry
Part 1 / Part 2
To say you were worried was an understatement. Ever since Bakugou had been taken by the League of Villains, you were constantly feeling on edge. You felt guilty that you weren't able to save him. You felt sad that he blamed himself for All Might's retirement. You felt ashamed that you had been so close to getting him back, only to watch him slip away before your very eyes.
But worst of all, you felt completely useless. You could tell that Bakugou hadn't quite been the same since returning, but nothing you did seemed to make him feel better. You knew that your feelings were nothing in comparison to his, and yet you couldn't understand them at all.
"It isn't like him to ditch us completely," You spoke aloud, your chin resting in the palm of your hand. You sat at your usual lunch table, with the usual people, save for a certain blonde. "Even if he doesn't feel like talking, he still eats with us."
"Maybe he just wanted some space." Kirishima tried to lighten his tone, but you knew that he was just as worried.
You let out a sigh, your eyes darting around the cafeteria once more. You saw all sorts of familiar faces; Izuku even gave you a sympathetic smile, but you couldn't find the one face you wanted to see more than anything.
Shaking your head, you pushed your chair backwards and stood up. You announced, "I'm going to look for him."
It wasn't just the fact that he hadn't showed up to your usual table. He had woken up later than usual today, despite being punctual. He had skipped out on breakfast, despite always making sure you had something to eat.
"It's the most important meal of the day, dumbass." He would snap at you, ruffling your hair playfully.
The two of you walked from the dorms with one another, but today he had gone ahead by himself. His attention drifted more than one during class, causing Aizawa to scold him. Usually, he would have quipped back with something witty, but he simply grunted and said nothing more.
There were a million things that felt so off and you couldn't shake the feeling that something was wrong.
You went to the first place you figured he would be: the training room. Classes had focused recently on preparing an "Ultimate Move" and Bakugou had thrown himself head over heels into the training. You had a strange feeling that he would be there, still training, still overworking himself.
And as you pushed open the doors, you were right.
A burnt smell hung in the air. It was oppressive.
Your eyes immediately found the blonde boy, explosions blasting off all around him. His grunts and pants filled the air around you, but there was something... pained about them. His palms were a bright red, littered in burns and a fine sheen of sweat.
"Bakugou! Bakugou, stop!" You shrieked, sprinting towards him.
Your hands wrapped around his wrists, your eyes blown out wide. His expression showed nothing, he didn't even raise his eyes to look at you. Tears lodged themselves in your throat, and you couldn't tell whether it was annoyance or fear that bubbled in your chest.
"Can't you see that you're hurting yourself?" You tried to plead with him, but it felt as if your words were washing right over his head. "I want to help you, Bakugou, but I don't know how. I don't know what you're feeling, so help me to help you. Please."
He snapped, "I don't need your help."
"You don't need to shut me out, Bakugou; I'm your girlfriend, for crying out loud!"
"You can't help me."
He tore his wrists away from you, taking a step away. You felt hot tears in the back of your eyes, but you didn't want to cry. Bakugou was the one that was hurting; you wanted to try and be strong for him.
"Give me something! Do you want to talk about it?" You tried to lower your voice, not wanting your emotions to get the better of you.
"No."
"It's okay to struggle, Bakugou."
Suddenly, it was as if something had snapped within him. "Shut up! I'm only struggling because of extras like you! It's your fault that I was taken in the first place. You and fucking Deku, and the rest of those goddamned idiots in our class!"
You paused.
"If you hadn't made me go along with you, I could've fucking saved myself! I would have been fine if you dumbasses didn't have to 'escort' me as if I were some fucking child!"
Your fingers shook at your sides.
"And now look what's happened! All Might's retired, I'm known all over the news as the kid from UA that got taken by the League of Villains, and UA is being slandered by everyone. All because you and those fucking idiots wanted to help me! And you want me to let you help me again?"
Your entire heart was shattering slowly, piece by piece. A ringing had begun in your ears, almost drowning out his voice. Almost.
"I don't want your help, and I sure as hell don't want you around!"
You interrupted, "Are you done?" Your voice felt as if it wouldn't come out, but you managed to push out the words.
"Yes. So get the fuck out of my sight."
At this point, the tears were flowing down your cheeks. Sobs pushed their way out of your throat, but your hand had covered your mouth in an attempt to muffle them. Still, your boyfriend wouldn't look at you.
"I know you're hurting, and I know you've been through a lot. But that does not give you an excuse to talk to me like that!" Your lower lip quivered and it was all you could manage to keep yourself standing upright. Everything felt as though it was falling down around you, each piece shattering apart into a million pieces. The silence between the two of you was deafening.
You gulped, and forced your voice to be as steady as possible. "I'm going to leave now, and if I don't hear an apology by the time I reach the door, we're done, Bakugou."
With that, you turned and began to walk away with a heavy heart. Each step weighed down on you more than the last. The only sound was your footsteps echoing around the large hall, resonating like a drum.
Bakugou said nothing, only kept his back turned as you slowly walked away from him. Your fingertips wrapped around the doorknob and you paused, praying that your boyfriend would say something. With a deep breath in, you pulled open the door and stepped outside.
Only when you heard it close behind you did you release the piteous cries that you had been holding back. The sound of explosions began again on the other side, sounding more aggressive than before. They were nearly enough to drown out the sound of your heart shattering.

BNHA Among Us Headcanons
A/N: So I am kind of obsessed with this game, like a lot of other people. And it randomly hit me that it would be pretty funny if the BNHA characters played it together, so this happened.
Characters: Midoriya Izuku, Bakugou Katsuki, Todoroki Shouto
Tumblr media
izuku midoriya:
- can't lie to save his life
- usually the first to die when he's a crewmate
- always yells "i am here!" when he kills someone (to himself, of course)
- too scared to kill bakugou whenever he is imposter for fear of being beaten up
- s i m p s for ochako even when she has been proven to be imposter, "she's too nice to deceive us"
- usually afk checking his map because he never knows where to go
- the first person to run to fix lights and usually ends up dead because of this
- never uses vents because he doesn't know how
- tried to use them one time and jumped up in front of literally everyone else, before being promptly voted off
- once forgot to mute when the round started so everyone heard him imitating all might as he went around killing people, needless to say he did not win that round and bakugou did not forget what he heard
- is often talked over during emergency meetings
Tumblr media
bakugou katsuki:
- always complains when the others ask him to play, but secretly loves the game
- hates being a crewmate, says it's "really fuckin' boring", decides to make it more fun for himself by trolling instead
- yells "die!" every time he kills someone
- will hunt down izuku relentlessly, and constantly blames him during emergency meetings, even when it has been proven that izuku is not the impostor
- always insulting people, "how do you not know who it is yet, you fuckin' dumbass?!", "this impostor is a piece of shit", "you're all dumb as fuck"
- constantly flaunting his victories to everyone
- will never help at lights, or seismic reactor, or oxygen, or anything for that matter
- usually throws rounds as a crewmate by constantly gunning for izuku and then yelling through every emergency meeting
- would never admit it but tries to keep kirishima alive even thought he's "fuckin' awful" at the game
- enjoys the meteor task the most because he likes to imagine that he's shooting izuku's head
Tumblr media
todoroki shouto:
- claims he doesn't really understand what he's doing
- calls emergency meetings when he gets separated from his buddy
- actually pretty good at deceiving people since nobody can tell when he's lying due to the tone of his voice never changing
- usually wins by letting everyone else fight among themselves and saying nothing
- constantly trying to double kill with his fellow impostor but they never seem to catch on, no matter how much he wiggles his character from left to right
- quick to sell people out if it saves his own skin
- somehow knows all the maps without having to check, and can constantly keep up with what everyone else is doing, "i saw blue, green and white head over to med bay, purple and brown stayed in base for some reason, i was with pink and yellow, but orange was just running around"
- stack kills bring him joy
- while izuku often forgets to mute himself, todoroki often forgets to unmute himself, which means while he is trying to contribue to emergency meetings, nobody else can actually hear him and he gets offended thinking they're ignoring him
- doesn't usually do his tasks because he prefers trying to figure out who the impostors are rather than winning through task completion

I Can’t Wear That (Todoroki x Reader)
UA were holding a Halloween Party and you really wanted to go with your boyfriend Todoroki, but he had turned down every costume idea you had suggested to him. With the party being held that very night, you were beginning to think you wouldn’t find anything in time.
A/N: I did come up with an idea for Todoroki after all. >:3
Pairings: Todoroki x Reader
Warnings: cute, fluff, kinda short sorry
You hadn't expected it to be quite so difficult to find a Halloween costume for you and Todoroki. Your first instinct had been to go as Red Riding Hood and the wolf, but you knew that Bakugou's girlfriend had already claimed that for her own. Izuku and Ochako were going as Hansel and Gretel, and they'd even convinced Tsu-chan to play the evil grandma with them.
Everything else you suggested had been quickly refused by your boyfriend. Zombies? No. Vampires? Too messy. Jack and Jill? He didn't even know who they were. Spider-Man and Mary Jane? He didn't want to have to cover his entire body all night.
You even suggested going as Fire Boy and Water Girl.
"I can't wear that." Todoroki had immediately responded.
"Why not?" "Because Fire Boy reminds me of my dad."
He also said he didn't even know what it was.
It felt as if you had exasperated your entire list, and you still hadn't managed to find anything.
Until one day, when you were out shopping, inspiration had hit. Alice and the Mad Hatter. You had turned to Todoroki with a sparkle in your eyes, holding up the costume packs for approval.
"But I'm not mad." He had said bluntly.
You sighed loudly, "That's not the point! I think your red hair would be great for this."
"But I have white hair, too." He commented, as if you hadn't appreciated his beautiful hair for every second of every day.
"Even better! The whole point of the Mad Hatter is that he does things that don't make sense." You felt rather silly for having to explain, but if it convinced Todoroki to go along with you, then you could recite the entire movie for him.
"But my hair-"
"Todoroki." You interrupted. "If I hear you rebut my suggestion one more time, I am going to lose it."
Your boyfriend closed his mouth, staring back at you with wide eyes. He simply nodded, taking the costumes from your hands. A victorious smile spread across your face and you set about buying makeup and props that the two of you could use.
After paying and leaving the store, you felt like a weight had been lifted from your shoulders. UA's Halloween Party was that very night, and yet you had only just managed to find a costume.
As you were walking back to the dorms, you felt Todoroki's hand brushing against yours. It took you a moment to realise, but as soon as you did, you weaved your fingers through his own. You usually held his warmer hand, since yours were always so cold, but sometimes you found yourself having to swap over to cope with his fluctuating body temperature.
He squeezed your fingers gently. You turned to him with an arched brow.
"Why did you want to wear costumes anyway?" He asked you.
"Because it'll look cute!" You replied, already imagining how adorable Todoroki would look with his hat. A small brush spread across your cheeks.
"But everyone said Mineta doesn't need an outfit."
"Because his perverted nature is scary enough as it is."
"Well," he mused, "if it makes you happy, then I'm looking forward to it."

I Am Not Wearing That (Bakugou x Reader)
UA were holding a Halloween Party and you really wanted to go with your boyfriend Bakugou, but he was adamantly opposed to the costume idea you had proposed to him.
A/N: I could not get this idea out of my head. I want to do one for Todoroki too, but I’m not too sure what costume idea to use for him.
Pairings: Bakugou x Reader
Warnings: swearing obviously, angry pomeranian incoming, fluff
"I am not wearing that."
"Katsuki, why?" You whined, clutching the fluffy paws to your chest desperately. "It'll be really cute!"
He snapped, "Absolutely not."
Bakugou hadn't wanted to go to UA's "stupid" Halloween Party in the first place, let alone wear a costume as well. He said it would be "overrun with damn extras" and "really fuckin' lame". You would have been content to just go with him, but after hearing everyone else's costume ideas, you couldn't help but entertain the thought of getting him to wear a couple's costume with you.
And so you ended up buying one. A Little Red Riding Hood outfit for you, which of course meant that Bakugou would play the part of the wolf.
"Please, Katsuki." You pleaded, sliding the paws over your smaller hands. "See? They're not that bad! You don't have to wear all of it if you don't want to."
"No."
"Fine." You jutted your bottom lip out in a pout. "Then I'll ask Izuku instead."
Bakugou narrowed his eyes at that. "Hah?! That damn extra could barely be a mouse, let alone a fuckin' wolf."
You stifled a smile at his comment, not wanting to give him the satisfaction of making you laugh when you were trying to be mad at him. When it came to Midoriya, you knew that Bakugou could never back down.
"Then I'll go with Kirishima."
"I'll kill him, and then you."
"Then Mineta!"
"Absolutely fuckin' not."
You sighed, "Then that only leaves you, Katsuki. So I guess you'll have to go with me."
He exhaled deeply, balling his hands into fists at his sides. He knew he wouldn't win this fight, but he still didn't want to be caught wearing paws and a tail. But he knew that you would give him the dress and red hood if he said so, and he wouldn't be caught dead in that either.
"It's still a no."
You stared down at the paws, the corners of your lips turning down in a frown. You felt tears brimming in your eyes; you were so close, and yet so far. Plus, the costume was really expensive and you'd passed on a cute dress you really wanted to buy just so you could afford the costumes. The frustration you felt was immeasurable.
"Hey, wait, why are you crying, you brat?" Despite the insulting nickname, you could hear the sudden concern in Bakugou's voice. With a quiet sniffle, you looked up at him. His eyes immediately softened. "Don't cry, you dumbass."
"B-But I really wanted us to wear these." You said quietly, biting your lower lip to hide your frustration.
Bakugou immediately took the paws from your hands and gathered the rest of the costume that you had laid out on his bed for him. Without another word, he disappeared into his bathroom and you heard a string of grumbled curses drifting through the door. When he emerged, he was wearing the costume with a grimace. Though when he saw your teary eyes, he tried to force a smile.
"Look, I'm wearing it. So don't cry." He said, walking back over to pull you into a hug. You smiled against him, fighting against the urge to flick the tail he was wearing. "But you owe me for this, dumbass."
"Thank you, Katsuki." You raised your head to place a quick kiss on his lips.
"Now go and put yours on. I feel fuckin' stupid." He grumbled, staring down at the fluffy boots covering his feet. You grabbed your costume from his bed and began to walk towards his bathroom, ready to change.
You stopped just in the doorway, a smirk on your face. "There's going to be a competition for the best costumes, too. Izuku was hoping to win with Ochaco."
Bakugou grinned back at you, "Not on my watch."

What Hurts the Most (Kirito x Reader)
After being forced to join Knights of the Blood Oath, Kirito will be forced to obey their commands, even if it means losing dear friends of his.
A/N: I have not kept up with SAO past the first two seasons so this was based on the very first season, when I was still new to anime and had a big fat crush on Kirito like probably 90% of people lmao.
Pairings: Kirito x Reader
Warnings: angst, spoilers ig if u somehow haven’t seen the first half of the very first season at the very least
It was the day after Kirito had fought Heathcliff. He had been forced to join the Knights of the Blood Oath. He hadn’t wanted to, of course, but Kirito had always been one to keep his word. That was just one of the many things I liked about him.
I sighed as I picked at the grass. It almost felt as though I was in the outside world again. But the sight of my blue and white clothing took me back to the wretched game: Sword Art Online. Laying back on the grass, I ran a pale hand through my hair.
He was supposed to be here.
The corner of the screen told me that it was already past noon. Kirito had said he would meet me at noon sharp. After that, he would be heading out with some members of the Knights of the Blood Oath. I knew that, once he headed out with them, it was unlikely that I would see him again.
We had grown to be rather close. Since he and I preferred to work alone, we didn’t always group up. But when we did, it was easy to take down monsters. It was far easier to level up when I was with him. But Kirito had met Asuna, and he spent most of his time with her.
It hurt. But I remained silent for his sake.
“Sorry to keep you waiting.” A voice jolted me from my daydream. I cracked open an eye to see a pair of onyx eyes looking down at me. Black hair hung in front of his face, his mouth stretched into a large grin. “Heathcliff was reluctant to let me leave.”
Instead of his normal black clothing, he wore the white and red material that had been forced upon him. It didn’t look bad, it just didn’t look like him. Kirito seemed far comfier in his own clothes.
“Don’t worry about it.” I fixed him with a small smile. As I sat up, I patted the ground beside me. Kirito took a seat beside me, staring out at the sky.
The blue was more vibrant in virtual reality. Everything had been designed to be a better version of what the outside world had to offer. If I hadn’t been trapped in the damn game, I would have been able to appreciate it.
“You said you wanted to talk?” He turned his head to look at me. I nodded, though I couldn’t bring myself to look at him. There was so much I wanted to say, but so little time.
I wanted to tell him how I truly felt. I wanted to tell him that I had fallen him from the very moment I met him. I wanted to tell him that I believed in him, that I always would believe in him. But I couldn’t form the right sentences in my head.
“Are you okay?” His voice was laced with more concern this time. Furrowed brows met my gaze as I reluctantly turned my head. My wide eyes danced across his face, examining his features. It could have been the last time I would see him. “Come on, say something.”
“You look weird in those clothes.” I said, before glancing away from him. Kirito instantly looked down at the mash of red and white. He nodded, a melodic laugh escaping his lips. “Now I’ll have to remember you in them.”
His laugh immediately stopped.
“What do you mean?” The playfulness had left his voice, leaving only concern and worry. I realized that I had chosen the wrong words. Did he not realize that we would not see each other once he worked alongside them?
The Knights of the Blood Oath had hated me for a long time. I didn’t play by the rules of the game and continued to surpass the game’s expectation. After all, I hadn’t earned my title of Blue Lightning by sitting back and doing nothing. They were constantly out to shut me down.
There had been a single occasion, on which they had managed to catch me off guard. I had been fighting a rather difficult dungeon boss by myself, darting here and there as I slashed at it viciously. My health was barely hitting the halfway mark as I finished the monster off.
As I stepped back to collect the loot, they had burst into the room. There had been a group of five or six, all ready to jump on me and hand me in. With wide eyes, I had selected a few health potions, and readied myself to fight.
I had taken on all six of them, bringing each health bar dangerously close to zero. I hadn’t killed any of them, though. There was no way I would be able to live with myself if I’d killed someone because of the game.
So I’d taken my time lowering each health bar, before I sternly told them to stop tracking me down. I threatened to kill each and every one of them if I ever had to encounter the Knights of the Blood Oath ever again.
There was a bad history between myself and the Knights of the Blood Oath. Therefore, they would merely use Kirito as a stepping stone to chase me down again. It would be nearly impossible for Kirito and me to continue seeing each other, especially if the threat of being hunted was always looming over my shoulder.
“You know what I mean, Kirito.” The words slowly tugged themselves out of my mouth. I wanted to cry. Every inch of my being felt saddened by the inevitable loss of my friend. Even if we were only ever going to be friends, I wanted him by my side. I felt safe with him. “You’re with them now.”
“So? If I want to go to a dungeon with you, they can’t stop me.” Kirito shrugged it off, leaning back on his hands. I sighed, wrapping my arms around my legs and bringing them to my chest. I rested my chin upon my arms, attempting to keep the tears at bay. “You’re getting yourself worked up over nothing.”
“But it isn’t nothing, Kirito. You don’t understand.” I muttered, glaring at the horizon.
Of course he wouldn’t understand. I wasn’t telling him anything. My brain told me that I should tell him how I felt, but all communications between my brain and my mouth had dissipated.
“Then explain.” He said, placing a hand on my shoulder. Instinctively, I shook him off. His hand dropped to the grass beside me, before he retracted his arm hesitantly. I was being unreasonable. It wasn’t his fault. “I’m going to be late.”
“I can’t explain, Kirito.” With that, I stood up. I brushed the grass off of my legs, turning away from him. “This was stupid. Have fun.”
I went to walk away. My brain yelled at me. My heart yelled at me. A hand grasped hold of my wrist forcefully. Kirito spun my body round, his hand gripping my wrist so tightly that it almost hurt.
“What is this about?” His dark eyes met mine. He looked fierce, determined. He looked as if he hadn’t seen several people succumb to this twisted game. I always admired that, too. Despite everything, Kirito continued to push forward.
I love you, I thought. But my mouth wasn’t responding. All I could do was stare back at him. My gaze flickered towards his HP bar, then back to his face. My hand longed to reach out. My fingers longed to tangle in his hair. I love you so damn much. I want to fight for you. I believe in you.
“Seriously, what is it?” His grip on my wrist loosened ever so slightly. My eyes raked over his body once more. I missed his black outfit. I wouldn’t get to see it again. I wouldn’t get to see him again. The mere thought made tears appear in my eyes. As they fell down my cheeks, his eyes widened.
“Good luck.” I whispered as he pulled me into a tight hug. From the way his arms tightened around me, I could tell that he was fighting tears, too. Just knowing that he would miss me was enough. A sad smile tugged at the corners of my lips. “I believe in you, Kirito.”
With that, I swiped open my menu and left him. He stumbled forward as my body faded away. I closed my eyes tightly, allowing a sob to pass my lips. It echoed around the empty field, in which Kirito now stood alone.
I never managed to tell him. I never would be able to tell him. That was what hurt the most. Knowing that he would never be aware of how much I loved him.

Old Friends (Natsu x Reader)
After a mission that ended with far more mess than it should have, you run into an old friend of yours. The same old friend that you had grown to love, and continued to love throughout the years.
A/N: I used F/N instead of Y/N just because. I always considered turning this into an actual series, but I decided to stick with a brief one shot instead.
Pairing: Natsu Dragneel x Reader
Warnings: angst, you are a villain, reunion gone wrong, sad ending
You sighed heavily, glancing around at the damage that your guild had inflicted on the surrounding area. The four of you had only come to take out a singular person, and yet your comrades had ended up taking it over the top.
“This happens every time.” You muttered, running a hand through your tangled hair. Though you knew you should be used to it by now, you couldn’t help praying that they would learn eventually. “Can’t you guys just stick to what we have to do?”
“It’s not like we’re doing any harm!” Yuka giggled, grinning childishly at you.
You glanced over at her. Yuka used transformation magic, and was very good at using it effectively. She tended to distract the target, causing them to attack her, whilst the rest of your group could take them out in secrecy.
“I don’t care about the harm,” You shot back, rolling your eyes. “As a dark guild, we have to be wary of covering our tracks. We don’t want anyone tracking us down.”
A loud scoff caught your attention. Takeshi, who used dark ice magic, was already walking away from the scene with a contented smirk on his face. His light hair was being blown out around him, but his hair was messy already, so it wouldn’t make much difference to him.
“Let them come to us, [F/N]. We’d be strong enough to take them down.” Takeshi’s voice eventually reached your ears as the rest of you started to follow him. He was always overly-confident when it came to fighting.
Takeshi was the kind of wizard to attack the Magic Council single-handedly, if he could. There had been several occasions, on which he had attempted to attack the Magic Council, though your group always came along to stop him. It had usually ended up with you slapping him round the face and dragging him back to the guild, despite his overwhelming kicking and screaming.
“I wouldn’t mind fighting Blue Pegasus!” Yuka added to the conversation, skipping along beside you.
With her small figure and bright eyes, nobody would have guessed that such a young, innocent child would be part of the notorious dark guild, Shadow Heart. She was always playing with toys, or following the gossip about the famous guilds, such as Blue Pegasus and Mermaid Heel.
“I’d hate to have to fight Fairy Tail, though…” Hajime, the celestial mage of your group, had a tendency to sit at the back. He would allow to rest of you to fight, before jumping in whenever it appealed to him.
“I don’t understand what’s so bad about Fairy Tail. Who even are they?” You wondered aloud, your voice echoing around the empty area.
All of the civilians had either been badly wounded, or they had escaped before the destruction had taken place. Several of them had run away, screaming about how they were going to contact one of the stronger guilds, in hopes of getting them to drive your guild away.
“It’s not that I don’t know who Fairy Tail are, I just don’t know the people in Fairy Tail. Surely they can’t be that strong.” You continued, raising your shoulders in a half-hearted shrug. You were the kind of person that didn’t really care about the other guilds, therefore you didn’t know the kinds of magic that the other guilds wielded.
As a user of dark magic, you were one of the strongest mages in your guild, Shadow Heart. You were taken on most jobs because you could walk in, take the enemy down with a mere flick of your wrist, and then walk right back out.
But not today.
None of the people in your small group had expected to be ambushed on your way out of the destroyed town. So when a black-haired male, wearing nothing from the waist up, jumped out of a nearby bush, there were a few surprised screams from the four of you.
Hajime stumbled backwards, grumbling when he fell on his ass. He rubbed his head tentatively, before glaring up at the unknown male. His narrowed eyes fixed the unknown person with a glare so harsh that it could have melted ice.
“You guys were actually here? It was surprisingly easy to track your guild’s movements.” The male commented, narrowing his eyes at the four of you.
You were already posed to strike, knowing that this guy wasn’t here to make small talk, or befriend any of you. You also suppressed an eye roll, knowing that the encounter could have been avoided. After warning the others not to cause a big mess, it had finally come back to haunt them.
“We told you to stick to the plan, Ice Princess!” An irritated voice caught your attention.
The next voice was feminine, “Gray!”
Four more people came tumbling out of the same bush, fixing the undressed male with several glares. A female with red-hair and armour, that looked to be fairly heavy, grabbed him by the ear.
“Gray, we’ve been through this.” She told him, her voice low and menacing as she released him from her grip. Her eyes then turned to stare at the four of us, though she didn’t seem at all surprised. “Oh, you found them. Good job!”
Immediately after threatening him, she turned to him with a smile and patted his back with much force. The dark-haired male, who you now knew was named Gray, stumbled forward, his face scrunching up in pain.
You exchanged a confused glance with Yuka, her confusion seemingly reflecting yours. Your guild had been approached by five strangers, but instead of fighting you, they were exchanging some friendly banter.
“Guys, this isn’t the time for this!” A blonde-haired female whined loudly, clutching her hands to her chest. Her eyes were fixated on our group and you realised, with much satisfaction, that she seemed scared.
“Natsu, I got stuck in a tree!” A blue cat flew into the clearing, followed shortly by a white cat. You rubbed your eyes, wondering when you were going to wake up.
And then something resonated within you.
That name was familiar. The name Natsu was familiar to you. Where had you heard that name before?
“Look, you guys are cute, but we’re kind of going somewhere.” Takeshi told them, before attempting to stride past their group. He was immediately met by a flaming fist. Takeshi fell backwards, his back colliding harshly with the floor.
“Natsu-san, you didn’t need to do that!” A young girl, with deep blue hair, turned to the salmon-haired male with wide, pleading eyes. She looked to be the same height as Yuka, though they were visibly different in the chest area.
Once again, the name struck you as familiar. As did the fire magic used by the pink-haired male. Both were shockingly familiar to you, striking up a feeling of nostalgia within you, though you were unable to remember where you knew it from.
“Natsu…” You breathed, the name feeling strangely comforting as it fell from your lips. It felt as though you had spoken that name a million times.
“[F/N]-chan, is everything okay?” Yuka glanced over at you, placing a hand upon your arm comfortingly. You looked down at her with wide eyes, and nodded gently, fixing her with a small smile.
This time, it was the fire mage’s turn to stare with wide eyes.
“We weren’t intending to fight you, but it seems you’ve hurt our comrade. That is something unforgivable.” You stated, before raising your hand. A thick wave of dark energy lashed out at the blonde-haired female, sending her flying backwards.
Before any of them could react, you immediately raised your other hand, causing the younger child to fly backwards. She collided with a nearby tree, then fell limply to the floor.
“Requip!” The red-haired female yelled loudly, causing a light glow to surround her body. With furrowed brows, you realised that her armour was changing. Instead of the simple armour she wore before, she was now dressed in an outfit that had a very long skirt, with wings protruding from her back.
As she fixed you with a harsh glare, you saw a wheel of swords gradually appearing behind her. A smirk tugged at the corner of your lips; you realised that you were facing strong opponents. Perhaps it would be fun.
“Ice Make: Lance!” The unclothed male shouted something at your group, before a shot of ice ran towards you.
Takeshi laughed aloud, intercepting the ice with his. A black mist settled upon the ground, before a large number of black ice bullets began to rain down on the ground.
Gray seemed somewhat taken aback, before he attempted to dodge the attack. He then turned to his comrades, “I think I’ll take on this guy!”
“I was going to say the same thing.” Takeshi interrupted the other male, firing another cold attack in his direction. As the dark-haired male lunged away, Takeshi followed, which took the two of them away from the small gathering.
That left two other opponents, assuming the females didn’t stand up again.
“Transform!” Yuka immediately threw herself at the red-haired female. The two of them stumbled backwards, immersed in their fight. As they hesitantly moved away, still throwing hasty attacks at each other, you rolled your eyes.
Now you were left with the pink-haired male. He glared at you furiously, probably enraged from where you had hurt his comrades. Hajime stood slightly behind you, staring down at his hands with a bored expression.
“I’ll go on ahead. You can have fun, [F/N].” Hajime muttered, before turning and walking in the opposite direction.
Natsu, your opponent, could have easily attacked him there and then, but he seemed frozen to the spot. His eyes were wide again. You cocked your head at him, wondering what was bothering him.
The more you stared at him, the more it clicked into place. His hair was familiar to you. It reminded you of the mop of hair that you were so used to seeing as a kid. His eyes were familiar to you. They reminded you of the sparkling eyes that met yours whenever you were sad.
“Natsu…” You repeated yourself quietly. “Natsu Dragneel…”
Natsu Dragneel! He was your childhood best friend. In fact, you’d even go as far as to say you’d developed a crush on him. The two of you had been so incredibly close, and yet you hadn’t spoken to him for years.
When your parents mysteriously disappeared, you fell into a state of despair. Natsu kept trying to contact you, but you kept shutting yourself away from everyone. You eventually left Magnolia, wandering aimlessly for several months, before you had stumbled upon your new home – Shadow Heart.
At first, you hadn’t realised it was a dark guild; everyone had been so friendly and inviting that it hadn’t even occurred to you. But when you listened to the news that spread, you realised what you had gotten yourself involved in. And you didn’t mind.
They had welcomed you. They had given you the home you thought you’d never find. Shadow Heart was your family, and you wouldn’t give them up for anything.
It was only now that you began to wonder what had happened to Natsu Dragneel. It was only now that you wanted to know where your best friend had been this whole time, and if he still remembered you.
“How do you know my name?”
You immediately stared back at the boy, your eyes wide and your face pale. “What?”
“My name is Natsu Dragneel. How do you know it?” He repeated himself, this time speaking with more anger. There was something about his voice that was familiar, too.
“It seems you share the same name as my childhood friend.” You told him, laughing awkwardly. There was no way it could be possible. There was no way that the person in front of you could be the same Natsu Dragneel that you had grown so close to.
“Hold on… That girl said your name was [F/N].” Natsu kept muttered quietly. He seemed to be as shocked as you were. “That was the name of my childhood friend.”
And then it clicked.
The person stood before you was, in fact, the Natsu Dragneel that you had been in love with. The person whose comrades you had just hurt was, in fact, your best friend.
You shuddered. “No way.”
“Why, [F/N]? Why would you join a dark guild?”
“They were all I had. They welcomed me, Natsu. When I had no one, these guys were my family!” You told him, feeling your hands begin to shake at your sides. You didn’t want to fight him. You didn’t want to hurt him anymore than you already had, but you didn’t think you had a choice. “I didn’t want to be alone.”
“I was your family, [F/N]! You had me!” His face, too, was pale as he stared back at you. His chest was rising and falling rapidly, in time with his breathing. “Do you know how much it hurt me when you went missing? I searched for you for months! Years, even!”
“I-I didn’t know…” You whispered, feeling tears in the corner of your eyes.
“I don’t want to fight you, [F/N], but you’ve hurt my comrades.” Natsu breathed as his hands clenched into fists at his sides. Flames engulfed his shaking fists and you realised that you might have to fight him.
“I don’t want to hurt you, Natsu.” You told him, your voice quivering as the fear slowly settled in. The love that you had felt for him had never truly died away. It had always lived deep within you as a hushed secret, a whisper of hope that you might meet him again.
But you hadn’t wanted to meet him like this.
You could do nothing but watch on as he prepared to throw his first attack at you. As much as you didn’t want to fight him, you also didn’t want to just stand there and take what he was going to throw at you.
Just as he was about to charge at you, you shrieked, “I loved you, Natsu! I still do!”
He froze just in front of you, his face barely inches from yours. The flames around him slowly fizzled away, until they were nothing but mere embers. You breathed a sigh of relief, though you knew that you weren’t in the clear just yet.
Natsu dropped his hand back to his side, his hot breath fanning across your face as you tried to control your breathing. His intense gaze met yours, seemingly locking your eyes in place. The lack of distance between the two of you was something that you couldn’t quite ignore.
“I’ll give you two choices, [F/N]. You can hand yourself in, or you can leave her with me. If you come with me, you’ll join Fairy Tail and you’ll stop working for bad guilds.” He told you, constantly avoiding your gaze as he spoke.
The first option was out of the question. You’d be locked up for ages, and potentially forced to hand over the rest of your guild. That was something you couldn’t do; you couldn’t betray their trust.
But you didn’t want to leave them. As much as you wanted to be with Natsu again, you couldn’t just leave your family. You needed them, and they needed you. They would never forgive you if you just abandoned them.
“Natsu, I-I can’t just leave them.”
He glanced away from me, “We’ll let them go.”
“I can’t leave them, Natsu. They’re my family.” You pressed again, knowing that it wasn’t going to end happily either way. No matter which you chose, you would be leaving someone behind.
With a deep breath, you leaned forward. You leaned towards Natsu until you felt your nose brush against his, until his serpentine eyes were right in front of yours. A sad smile danced across your face as you leaned forward, pressing your lips against his cheek.
“It was nice to see you again, Natsu.” You whispered, before walking past him. If there was no way to be with them both, then you would choose neither. You would hand yourself in to the Magic Council, despite the pain it was causing you.
Perhaps you and Natsu would meet again. And when it did happen, you would tell him everything that you had locked deep inside yourself.

Burning Bright (Star Guardians)
A/N: I love the Star Guardian skin line a little too much. I originally wrote this after watching the music video Riot released because I adore it.
Pairings: None.
Warnings: really heckin cheesy
The five of them had been thrust into a new world without any warning, left to fend for themselves with only the memories of the powers they wielded. It hadn’t been made clear to them why they were there, or what they were supposed to achieve. All they knew was that they had to fight against the evil that threatened the fate of Summoner’s Rift.
Lux stood with her staff gripped tightly in one hand, her brows furrowed as she watched her fellow guardian turn her back on them. She called out to the red-haired rebel, her lip trembling as the other girl tensed up.
“Shut up!” Jinx yelled again, her voice sharper this time.
“We need you,” Lux pleaded, trying to take a step towards her friend. She immediately recoiled when Jinx spun on her heel, facing the other four with a menacing glare. “We’re in this together, Jinx.”
Poppy muttered under her breath, turning away from the pitiful scene that was playing out before her. She always knew that Jinx was not to be relied upon – there were days when Jinx seemed so willing to help them, but her mind would change the next day. With a small sigh passing her lips, Poppy shook her head softly.
“Jinx, please…” Lulu tried, approaching the taller female. Lulu’s companion, Pix, followed closely along behind her, making a soft noise at the fuming guardian.
Jinx watched the two of them with clear disgust in her eyes, the corners of her lips turning down. She’d had enough of being a star guardian; she’d never asked for it in the first place! All she cared for was her freedom.
Janna decided to speak up, “We should just leave her. If she won’t help us, then we’ll have to fight the problem ourselves.”
Poppy nodded her head in agreement and, with her hammer in her hand, she began to walk away. Janna followed quickly after the short yordle, though the corners of her lips were drawn down in a tight frown. Lulu glanced frantically between Jinx and the others, her pale lips parted, though words refused to leave her mouth. Lux stood, shaking, amidst the chaos. Her head was turned towards the ground, hands trembling at her sides as tears threatened to pour down her cheeks. When she had gathered the five of them, she hadn’t expected this to happen. She wanted it to be as it was before they were forced upon this strange land. After another moment passed, Lulu decided to follow Poppy, gesturing for Pix to move away from the angry female. The two of them hesitantly moved away from Jinx, though Lulu couldn’t help but glance over her shoulder.
Jinx turned away, crossing her arms over her chest.
The three of them were walking away, but that wasn’t what Lux wanted. She didn’t want this to happen. She couldn’t let it happen!
“No!”
Three figures stopped moving. Janna glanced over her shoulder, frowning at the pink-haired guardian sympathetically. Janna had always known Lux to be too kind for her own good; she had forgiven Jinx numerous times, despite the other guardians insisting that Jinx wasn’t to be forgiven.
Lux yelled again, “We fight together!” Her voice quivered dangerously as the first tears slipped from her eyes.
“Not anymore.” Jinx quipped. “I’ve made this clear from the very beginning: I don’t want this! I never have! All of you can leave me alone; I’m tired of fighting for good!”
“It’s our job, Jinx.” Lux pressed further, hoping she could change her friend’s mind. It was true that it was their duty to protect the Rift, but Lux truly cared for her companions. She hated to see them hurt or upset. In fact, she considered her fellow guardians to be her closest friends, regardless of their different personalities.
“Then do it without me. I’m done!” Jinx shouted at the others, before turning on her heel again. This time, as she went to storm away, Lux lunged forward. Her small hand wrapped around the redhead’s wrist tightly. Jinx whipped her hand out of Lux’s grasp. She immediately glanced over her shoulder, fixing Lux with a glare that pierced through Lux’s soul. The pink-haired girl recoiled once more, bringing her hands to her chest helplessly.
“Leave me alone.” Jinx hissed, before storming away.
Lux could only watch her figure grow smaller as tears streamed down her pale cheeks. The other guardians tried to comfort her, but found that they could do nothing. With a heavy heart, Lux turned away from Jinx, knowing that she had work to do.
Janna, Lulu, Poppy and Lux exchanged stern glances, before striding off to where they needed to be. There had been reports of a large monster on the Rift, who had been threatening the other champions. The Star Guardians had been asked to take care of it.
Lux walked ahead of the others, her hands balled into tight fists at her sides. As the four walked, a tall, purple monster came into view. It appeared to have three separate faces, each with equally sharp fangs. Sharp horns stuck out of the ground around it. Huge spikes stuck out of its back.
The four of them halted a short distance away from it, their eyes wide. They hadn’t expected it to be quite so intimidating. Lux was the first to turn back to her friends, nodding reassuringly at them. They took on their familiar glows as the monster turned to look at them. Its eyes seemed to glow as it spotted the females. A loud screech pierced through the air, echoing around the guardians numerous times. Several of the spikes and horns pointed in the direction of the girls, poised to attack. The monster opened its mouth, sending a threatening ball of poison towards them. Lux swiftly dodged, throwing an attack at the monster. Janna copied her friend’s move, dodging as she thrust a hurricane in the monster’s direction. Both of the attacks hit. Neither seemed to deal any significant damage to the creature.
It prepared itself for another attack, this time aiming for Lulu. Just as the toxic fumes approached the yordle, she threw her staff upwards, blocking the attack with a small cry. Her sparkling shield hadn’t managed to block all of the attack, resulting in the small girl stumbling backwards. Poppy called out to her, growing enraged. She swung her hammer above her head, working up a faint blue glow. Then she charged towards the creature, crying aloud as she picked up her speed. When she was close enough, she swung her hammer harshly towards the monster, grinning when she heard a satisfying smack. The monster reared backwards, crying out in pain. But it wasn’t enough to knock it down. A sharp spike threw Poppy away, causing the yordle to scream aloud. Her small cry was enough to jolt the other guardians back into action.
Lux dashed forward, preparing another attack. She fixed the large creature with a harsh glare, swinging her staff about as she built up her power. A pink glow surrounded Lux as she ran, her gaze fixed solely on the monster in front of her. Just as she went to throw her next attack, the monster shot poison directly at her. She stumbled backwards, unable to dodge successfully. As Lux laid on the ground, Janna prepared her companion, Zephyr, to attack the creature. Her companion nodded enthusiastically, rushing towards the horrible being as Janna went to her friend’s aid. Janna pulled Lux away from the danger, checking that she was okay. Poppy and Lulu approached the other two, watching the monster cautiously. Janna turned her eyes to the creature, watching as it slammed Zephyr into the ground. She cried out, outstretching her hand, but to no avail.
The Guardians steadied themselves, each preparing their own attack. As they yelled aloud, they pushed their attacks towards the monster. Blue, purple, green and pink sparks fused together, hurtling towards the beast with great speed. As it made contact, a piercing screech could be heard. Smoke rose around the thing, blocking it from their sight. Lux breathed a sigh of relief, glad that they’d managed to defeat the creature. She went to turn towards Lulu, a smile upon her kind face. Then she stopped. A blue glow was suddenly surrounding the four of them.
As Lux turned again, she found that Poppy had thrown herself in front of the others, her hammer held high above her head. Lux’s eyes turned upwards to find that the monster hadn’t been taken down – another attack was headed right for them. Poppy winced as it made contact with her shield. She tried to fight against it, but felt herself falling backwards. The blue glow slowly faded away, leaving the girls open to the harsh attack. It hit Poppy first, causing a shriek to pass her lips. Lulu jumped towards her friend, only to be hit with the poison. As it burned her skin, she collapsed to her knees, screaming aloud. Pix tried to comfort her, but was hit with attack. Immediately, Pix fell to the floor, seemingly lifeless.
Janna watched with wide eyes, unable to avoid the oncoming damage. The poison consumed her, causing her to drop to the floor. She bit down on her lower lip, trying to hold back her pained cries. She didn’t want to worry the others while they were already in pain. Lux tried to throw a shield towards her allies, but was too late. The poison poured down upon her, causing her to gasp in shock. The pain was unbearable. She shuddered violently, wrapping her arms around her body as she fought to stay on her feet.
The four of them writhed about, fighting against the agonizing pain. Poppy remained on her back, with Lulu kneeling a short distance away from her. Janna had clapped her hand over her mouth, squeezing her eyes shut. Lux, still on her feet, cracked an eye open.
The monster was preparing another attack.
They were in no fit condition to hold off another attack. All four of them knew that this was the end. Lux screamed aloud, begging for somebody to help them. A harsh glow grew in the monster’s throat.
That was it.
A piercing light flashed in front of the four of them. With wide eyes, they watched as the light slammed into the monster’s front. It halted its attack, instead screeching in pain. Another light hit the monster, causing its cries to increase in volume. Lux turned her head, trying to find the source of the light. A red glow settled behind the four of them. A white creature and a black creature appeared before them, each grinning wildly at the guardians. Then the red glow took on the form of a human.
“I figured you’d need my help.” A familiar, cocky voice greeted the four of them.
Lux smiled gratefully, tears welling up in her eyes. Now they would be able to take down the enemy. She nodded at her red-haired friend, turning to face the monster with a newfound determination.
Janna smiled at Jinx, preparing another hurricane. Lulu giggled loudly; she always knew that Jinx would return to them. Lulu had never lost faith in Jinx, and her faith had never let her down. After helping Pix to recover quickly, the green-haired yordle turned to the monster, preparing a strong, green glow. Poppy nodded at Jinx, before swinging her hammer about once more. It took on a bright, blue glow, one that was far brighter than before. She aimed it towards the monster, ready to attack it with everything that she had.
“Ready, Lux?” Jinx prepared her attack, looking towards the pink-haired guardian for the signal. A soft smile played on her lips; though there were times when she hated being a Star Guardian, she cared deeply enough about her friends to always return to them.
“Of course,” Lux responded, bringing her hands together in front of her. A vast, pink laser began to form in the palm of her hands. Just as she fired it at the creature, she yelled to the others, “Though we may shine on our own, when we fight together, we’re burning bright. Because we’re Star Guardians!”
