Decided to just break out of self imposed restrictions on my creativity. Sometimes being the daughter of such an awesome artist (my mother) can really get in the way of letting it out and just letting it be, however it turns out. Never really thought about how my wild and uninhibited nature as a child (drawing on walls with crayons, butter in the rug extending to handprints on the matte wallpaper (which acted as litmus paper, showing every speck) for 10 years until my father and sister died and neighbors redecorated our house, could be n impediment to my freely expressing my childlike nature through art. I decided to look into all the challenging aspect that I am facing at this time and to share them here. I find that as long I have a sort of water skipper attitude (except instead of staying on the surface, going DEEP as only Pluto can require) that I flow with these dark waters of transformation in a way that isn’t so painful. We had the most phenomenal experience with a cloud the other day in Gili. None of us had sunscreen with us, but because of that glorious cloud screening the sun for a full four hours, none of us burned at all! I’m reminded of the stories of the Prophet and how he always had a cloud shielding him from the heat of the sun in the severe desert…. It was demonstrated to us all that day. A few month ago I found out that I’m a direct descendant of Lady Godiva (pictured here in a painting along with the history of her famous protest ride, which turned out to be a dare from her husband, according to this source) Did you know that her act of riding naked on horseback throughout her township was as a protest to her husband’s oppressive taxes inflicted upon the people?
