🪷 The Pious & The Fierce 🪷

Two daisies grew when the pure soul was sacrificed.

The skies turned dark.

The sun burned bright.

A blinding light pierced through the clouds.

And then the prophecy was foretold.

Current scenario: She touched the daisies & felt their significance for they are the symbols of purity & innocence. The lord sprinkled them over the land as a mark of the sacrificed and the victimised. This one’s for the innocents and the fearless. This one is for ‘The Pious & The Fierce’

Koi no takinobori (Koi's waterfall climbing) To succeed vigorously in life. The symbolism of Koi Fish in Japan is good fortune, abundance and luck. They are often associated with perseverance in adversity and strength of purpose. In Buddhism, they represent courage. The symbolic meaning of koi fish stem from the Chinese legend of the Dragon Gate where a koi fish swam upstream, through waterfalls and other obstacles to reach the top of the mountain where the "Dragon Gate" was. The legend says that when the koi finally reached the top, it transformed into a dragon, one of the most auspicious creatures in the Chinese culture. Yin yang koi represent the duality and harmony of life. In Taoism, yin and yang further symbolise the dueling sides of all the things in life. The circular movement of the fish represents the belief that all things in life are connected. It is about the dualities, black and white, positive and negative, good and bad, male and female, darkness and light, all forces in life that seem to battle against each other. In its essence it represents the balance in order to keep the chi flowing which is the life force of all the things on earth. Balancing the two opposites in our lives is what makes a person whole and complete. Presenting my first post of 2022.✨💫 This world is full of needles and thorns. Yet lotus blooms.🌷Throughout our life we are expected to meet different types of people and different circumstances. But what matters most is our response to them. However we as humans react first and usually reflect later. The words ‘respond’ and ‘react’ are often used synonymously however their meanings are poles apart. A reaction is an instant action or us expressing emotions based on our biases and beliefs. In simpler words, it’s us reacting to/speaking in a situation without thinking which is basically our unconscious mind taking on the lead role. On the other hand a response is a slow and well-thought reaction to any situation. It comes after us contemplating the facts and any other relevant information free from our prejudices while taking the long term repercussions into consideration. Reaction comes from our instinct to survive while response comes from experience. There are times when a quick reaction is appreciated during a dire situation in the form of quick thinking and sensible decision making with the ability to processing situations faster. At the end, each of our reaction and response solely depends on us and even our life experiences. The circumstances we face affect our personalities and our behaviour. But with a calm mind and practicing mindfulness we might find our solace. This time it was #koreanfood I have been to this restaurant on my birthday before but my visit with her was due. Ramen was super yummy, #bibimbap was unbearable and #tteokbokki was nice but the one I had on my #birthday was much much better.
