I'm looking at the Zora May prompts and wanna write stuff, and now my brain's just giggling with ideas LOL like--
Imagine, after Age of Calamity, that Link and Mipha get together. That has its whole set of fun and drama - a Hylian/Zora marriage would mean a lot anyway, but particularly when it's the Zora princess and the Hero of Hyrule. Link and Mipha start to have a family, Zelda is settling into being queen, and they all have their own set of stressors and joys and the three are still besties and it would be just so funny to see y'all. Like... Link takes his oath as a knight seriously, so he still assists Hyrule often, and just this scenario in my head came and--
Zelda, sighing: I hardly slept last night. I was up late researching the latest Zonai discoveries and almost forgot I had a meeting with the Rito delegation this morning. I'm so tired.
Link, hair a mess, on his third cup of coffee after dealing with one of his kids having a meltdown while the other kept everyone up crying all night, dealing with Mipha also trying to do royal duties, having just teleported over here via Sheikah towers: .....That sounds rough.

Wait, fuck, hold on-
THEY CAN'T FUCKING BRING OUT AN ANTI-HERO ARTEMIS WHEN I'M IN THE MIDDLE OF STUDYING FOR FINALS!!
WHAT THE FUCK, DC?!? HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO FOCUS?!?
oh i am so excited holy shit. am i the only one getting slade vibes from her?? because im getting massive slade/rose wilson vibes from the single eye cover and im wondering if artemis is a plant, someone unconnected from slade who wouldn't be considered a threat, to go undercover and get close to the titans. this is also like, high-key a chance to make jade and artemis sisters and/or half-sisters in canon which would be neat. i know comics fans aren't huge on changes to the canon based on outside things but making them half sisters doesn't really change jades backstory, nor artemis'.

......
A long drawn out sigh.
...sure, I guess I could try that. That's what the problem is.
Maybe I should line all the signs with the heads of Pokemon and humans who refused to heed them. Stain the wood with their blood, while I'm at it.
[......you can't tell if he's kidding or not...]

The truth must be spoken. Steve Harrington told Nancy Wheeler he wanted six kids because he experienced homosexual desires for the first time for one Edward Munson and was panicking.

Loving the Miguel O'Hara works lately! I'm sure you've gotten questions like this already but does Miguel go for a reader that doesn't have a Miguel in it or isn't married to him (yet)? Like does he leave alone the dimensions where reader is married to him or does he not care and just picks whatever? I'm going to assume there aren't a lot of variants of reader, much less reader + daughter, which is why he's so desperate. And is he going after variants most like reader in the collapsed dimension? Cause I'm a little worried that he's gonna be controlling about every little aspect so that he can recreate the life he once had; let's say they do have a daughter, would he be nit-picky about her behaviour? Would he make her get into soccer/football even if it's not her thing or would he just be content with whatever because he finally has his family back?
that piece was actually written as a hypothetical continuation to this drabble (there's a link in the main post now, it slipped my mind last night T-T), which goes a little more into miguel's sorta thought process and justification, but he did take some precautions to choose a version of the reader that was most like his dead partner but still had minimal ties to the canon and wouldn't leave an anomaly-sized hole if they suddenly fell off the face of the planet one day - meaning, they never got married or so much as met their version of miguel, but still behave as much like his former partner as possible. because of that, he doesn't have to be super controlling about their behavior, but i could see him becoming more and more nit-picky, pushing certain interests and hobbies and just,,, brushing past what doesn't fit into his idea of your perfect domestic life, like the reader's disinterest in getting married or having children. he's not trying to replicate the life he lost exactly, but he is trying to get that domestic bliss back, even if that means forcing a few things onto you that you might not know you want, just yet.

I saw your tag that out of the 3 monkeys, macaque is the most mentally well, and i had a mini breakdown about the fact youre right. You shouldnt be right, but you are
IT FEELS WRONG RIGHT. Like, Macaque is the red and black edgy monkey with shadow based powers, and yet he's also the only one whose positive character arc has impacted the story in an undeniably constructive way. Who knows what would have happened had he not been there to help MK in both 4x10 and the s4 special.
And like, MK on the other hand has had a negative character arc for the whole show (with "Revenge of the Spider Queen" and "The Emperors Wrath" being small hills in the road, but knowing MK we're going DOWN next season). MK is still going to get worse before he gets better (I'm predicting mega guilt over having a hand in Azure's death, but we'll see—also everything about his monkey form/himself is pretty much unresolved soooo) and don't even get me started on Wukong. He ALSO has had a negative character arc the whole show, with his main improvement being his resolve to be more open with MK. But like, between Mei chewing him out in 3x10, getting possessed by LBD, and now his time spent in the scroll—let's just say I'm worried for the Monkey King.
At the start of the show I'd say MK, SWK, and Macaque are all mentally unwell in their own special and equal ways, but Macaque actually got somewhat better (thank you 3x13). He's the only one. It's ridiculous.

do yhink theres like a life where bill accidentally 'kills' himself and isnt able to get to Dipper in time?
so dipper is just there thinking like no one will love me 😔😔💔 with no memories anf bill is just floating around pissed off
then BAM dipper remembers and comes to bills rescue somehow. then it cuts to dipper making fun of bill 🤭
A Fine concept! Alternately: A Dipper who still doesn't have his memories stumbling across Bill, and the subsequent shenanigans.

Why do I get the sneaking suspicion that at the end of Joseph's route in DD his "talk" with Mary amounted to him convincing her to keep things together for the kids and his social image (because we know how easy it is to get a divorce in conservative Christian communities esp if you're a woman amirite).
Like people are real quick to throw the book (and the rest of the library) at Mary when she's evidently depressed enough to resort to substance abuse and can't even summon the energy to take care of her kids. She's just so very clearly at the end of her rope with all this and it ruffles me that people get more enraged with her flirting with other men while her husband has been going out and actually fucking them (potentially more than once).
And idk. The lived in state of the boat and how convinient the 'oh no we ran out of gas and the radios out!' thing was made me think my guy. This has happened before, hasn't it? Like you really didn't think to grab a backup canister of gas?
And if they got divorced what would she even do, is the house hers? Who owns it??
Idk I don't hate Joseph but i don't trust him either. I'm #teamWomen
