Hi, may I request an NSFW for senku ishigami x fem reader, where senku and reader are married. y/n loves him SO much but she thinks that she'll just annoy him if she'd start making physical contact (like hugging and giving him little kisses) so she gets nervous, while on the other hand, senku is desperately hiding how he loves her, and how horny he gets around her. like he's so good at hiding it, but when he gets back and y/n's isn't home, he'd pleasure himself to sleep until he's satisfied with thoughts about her, it became a habit and he started doing it ALOT. One day she caught him in that state and he explains everything and... you know what's next. If it's too long or detailed then you don't need to do it!

The married life with Senku isn't all paradise, both of you are desperate, but think you're the only one. But the misunderstanding gets canceled out when you catch him in a compromising position.

You slowly open your eyes, immediately hearing the clacking of keyboard keys. You sighed, turning your face into your pillow.

"Mornin', honey."

"Morning, did I wake you?" he glanced at your figure.

You shook your head, before turning to face him, "No. Woke up on my own...time is it, Senku?"

"5:30--Damn idiots, they did this all wrong."

"So we've still got a little time before work, good."

You yawned with a small stretch, slowly sitting up.

"Why in the world did you take the morning shift, again? You're not a morning person."

You smiled, "I wanted to wake up with you, silly."

His cheeks tinted pink, "That's irrational if you can't even stop yawning."

You shifted over to see what he was working on, consciously stopping yourself from almost leaning against him.

"Whatcha doin'?"

"Fixing these idiots' mistakes before I leave. Terrible at making the correct notes."

You giggled, "Well, good thing they have you."

"They would be 10 billion percent doomed if I wasn't there. I need a new team."

"I've been telling you that for a while."

"Until I get the promotion coming up, I'm stuck with it. If I get it, that is."

You bit your lip to stop yourself from kissing his cheek.

"I know you'll get it. You're the best scientist in that department. And if they don't give it to you because they're crazy...Well, I'm proud of you, either way, Senku."

He watched as you shuffled out of the bed, moving to your shared wardrobe to find your outfit for work.

You smiled as you went through your sorted clothes, mentally thanking Senku for taking the time for you.

Being so distracted being a work fashionista, you didn't notice the clacking of keys stop.

He couldn't help the fond smile that stretched onto his face as your brows slowly started to furrow, mumbling to yourself about the weather and such.

He glanced down to the band on his finger, caressing it with his thumb. He remembered when people tried to tell him that marrying you was a mistake, that he couldn't handle having a wife.

"Best mistake I ever made," he whispered.

He sighed out.

"Senku. What's wrong?"

He straightened his face, moving his hands back to his laptop, "Nothing. Don't worry about it."

He internally cursed at himself when you frowned, he hadn't realized how sharp his tone was until the words passed his lips.

"All right, well...I'm gonna get in the shower first."

After you shut the master bedroom bathroom, he decided he should prepare for his shower, too.

He grabbed his stack of clothes he'd gotten ready the night before.

Then he heard the shower start, he could hear you groan from the feeling of the warm water.

His eyelashes fluttered, he felt tempted to go in there and produce more of those sounds, but...

He sighed placing the clothes on the edge of the bed.

Senku quickly grabbed his distraction, the notes, so he could try to forget that she was in the shower, naked, wet...

"Stop it, Senku, now isn't the time," he scolded himself.

While you stood under the showerhead, you looked at the pretty ring on your finger. You smiled, you didn't regret marrying him, not one bit, you loved your dreamy scientist...it's just...

You're an affection monster!

You wanted to hug him, kiss him, make lo-

But...you didn't want to annoy him with such things, when you had first met you quickly learned he wasn't a fan of your hugs so you stopped.

Which made you curious sometimes, you loved him dearly, but did he? Did he want those things with you? What made him want to marry you in the first place?

You sighed, stopping the water.

This is like a weekly ritual for him for the past year or so.

Go to work, come back...

On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, you come home later, overtime.

...And when you aren't home...Senku's true self is revealed.

The thoughts from that morning came back, the shower.

He imagined if he'd listened to his urges and walked in on you.

You quietly walked in, after unlocking the door, just in case he was napping. He had told you one day he'll nap after he gets home from work when you checked up on him.

You didn't blame him since you got home late anyway, you had a long shift and took overtime 3 days a week.

"S-"

"[Name]~"

You raised a brow, he sounded kind of weird.

Oh no! Was he hurt? Not feeling well?

You barged in.

"Sen...ku...?"

Your face got hot as Senku scrambled to cover himself and have some dignity.

"I-I'm--It's not what it..." he sighed.

"What's going on?"

His face reddened, looking away at a random wall.

"I just...I didn't know how to ask you," he let out a breath, holding his face in a hand with a lopsided smile, "When we first met...I...pretended I didn't like your touch, but, I crave it at his point. But I made you think I didn't...and I couldn't tell you that I wanted it more than anything."

"Hmm. So you wouldn't mind if I kissed you? Is that what you're saying?"

"Yeah...Wait, why are y-"

Before he could finish, you'd leaned a knee on the bed and brushed your nose against his.

Both of your faces were hot, the heat spreading through your bodies.

"Good. Kiss me."

Your lips met, and the kiss was a little unsure--I mean, the last time you'd kissed was at your wedding almost three years ago for a few seconds--, but as it got more desperate, you found a rhythm.

Senku didn't know where to put his shaky hands, he couldn't believe this was real. You sat on his lap to make it easier.

You whispered against his lips, "You're my husband, remember? Touch me wherever you want, silly."

His hands immediately slid up your waist, your shirt riding up a little.

"Take it off for me, Senku?"

He didn't hesitate.

He paused, in awe of you.

"What is it? Do I look-"

"You look...beautiful..."

"So beautiful," he muttered against your jaw, kissing lower, "I want to see just how much more beautiful you can get," he sighed against your neck, trailing down, and down.

"Take these off for me, will you, [Name]?"

You hurriedly kicked off your pants.

He chuckled at your small struggle, "Don't laugh, that's mean Senku!"

He grinned, before you could process it, you were under him.

"I can get meaner, trust me."

Senku let out a shaky groan, "Damn, you feel better than I could ever imagine."

"Y-you, too--Ah~" your nails dug into his back a little.

He was close, but he didn't want to stop. He'd do this forever if it was scientifically possible.

The sounds your body made, made it that much more erotic.

He'd used his knowledge of the human anatomy to his advantage...a few times, each time you gave him a response he enjoyed. It caused you to be sensitive now. But he hadn't gotten his release yet.

And he got it when you squeezed just right.

"Fuc-Ugh~"

His hips jerked involuntarily, his body did its natural instinct, fill you as much as it can.

He slowly pulled out laying on his back, he closed his eyes.

how to fix a man in seven easy steps - as i said in the description, these are songs that would make even daniel ricciardo want to date a woman over 30. songs that slap me in the face and call me single in 15 different ways.

I think I mentioned at the end of Whumpril that it always feels strange to finish a challenge like this. This one was particularly special, as it was made by my good friend @bg-sparrow . It was also the first time I made illustrations for one of my fics, though not ever chapter has one. Maybe one day I’ll be that ambitious, but it likely wouldn’t be on a challenge like this. I’m sure those of you who kept up as I updated noticed I barely have enough time just to write every day. Nonetheless this challenge was a blast, and I’m super excited to start McFly July tomorrow!

Yang was sure there were hundreds of ways people would describe Weiss Schnee. Beautiful (of course), icy (too obvious), rigid (wholly untrue). However, Yang was proud to be one of the only ones who could describe this woman as an utterly sexual being. 

As evidenced by the way her lips parted easily when Yang traced her mouth with her thumb. Her baby blues neatly eclipsed by her pupils, Weiss maintained eye contact with Yang as she kissed the tip of her thumb before greeting it with her tongue. Yang shuddered when she sucked it into her mouth. 

“God, you’re lewd,” Yang groaned as she shifted her hips to push those beautiful lithe legs open. She pressed her thumb against Weiss’s tongue and tilted her head back to expose the delicate pale column of her neck so that she could kiss and suck her way down. 

She could feel Weiss grinding against her abs and she pressed down against her even harder. Weiss gasped when Yang slipped her thumb from her mouth so that she could use both her hands to grab at her thighs, hips, and buttocks. Weiss eagerly wrapped her arms around her neck and pulled her up to her mouth and they kissed like it was the end of the world. Weiss licked her way into Yang’s mouth in a way that made her head spin and drop most of her weight on Weiss. And when Weiss bit her bottom lip and pulled demandingly, Yang got the message. 

The blonde slipped her hand between them and through the glistening ocean between Weiss’ thighs that had left a proud patch of wetness against Yang’s abs. She ran her fingers up and down the slit, reveling in the effect she had on the other woman. 

“Yang,” Weiss moaned through clenched teeth. Yang loved how impatient she could get. Weiss obviously did not appreciate the smug grin lighting up her face at that moment, judging by the way she took matters into her own hands. The smug look was replaced with surprise when Weiss placed her hand over Yang’s and guided her fingers inside her damn self. 

With Yang’s fingers buried up to the knuckle, legs wrapped tightly around her waist, and Weiss exposing her neck to her as she threw her head back with a needy sound escaping her lips, Yang had no idea why she was stalling. With a groan of hunger, she collapsed into Weiss, burying her face into that amazing neck and driving her fingers forward. 

Weiss was so open and accepting, taking her with no trouble at all that Yang slipped in another finger and curled them against her walls. The chorus of appreciative noises spilling freely from Weiss’s throat was simply electric, driving Yang to increase her speed. Her voice was already gorgeous enough, and to have it sing her name was a monument of accomplishment in Yang’s life. 

The frantic writhing of her hips was somehow demanding even more. Yang’s other hand had to find purchase on the edge of the mattress to brace herself to slam her hips into her hand, her back slick with the effort. Weiss’s legs fell open somehow wider for Yang, her own hand reaching into her white curls to rub at her swollen clit. 

“Fuck.” Yang couldn’t begin to describe how utterly sexy Weiss was, with her white hair splayed around her head and her mouth hanging open to moan her name, and the sweat and the flush coloring her face and chest. By the sporadic twitching of her abdomen, she was close. Yang focused her strength into deep, precise strokes of her fingers, grinding her hips until Weiss went from loud to quiet. Her mouth was open in a silent scream when she came. Yang made sure it lasted, kissing her way over her chest and lightly sucking on her pretty nipples. 

Weiss running her fingers languidly through her hair signaled Yang that she was done. Basking in postorgasmic bliss, they kissed deeply and slowly. The primal thing inside Yang stretched and preened at how relaxed and satisfied Weiss clearly was. 

Her voice was hoarse and so fucking sexy when she pressed her lips to Yang’s ear. Her eyebrows shot up when Weiss said, “Go get the box.” Sometimes Yang was still surprised by how much of a sexual being Weiss could be.

2. What was the first role you saw Cody in?  - And were you a fan straight away or did you need some time to warm up to him at first?

i first saw cody as david madsen in the assassination of gianni versace and i was immediately enamoured with this extraordinarily talented, bright-eyed guy i’d never seen before that made me bawl my eyes out so hard, i never recovered. i wasn’t into fandom as much back then so i didn’t pursue him further... until i caught up with ahs apocalypse a year after it came out — netflix uk gets ahs a year late. boy, i fell for michael even more once i realised i was watching that same extraordinarily talented, bright-eyed guy from acs. the rest, as they say, is history.

7. Duncan or Jim?

i hate to say it but i’m a little more attached to jim because we have so much more to work with for him: his overwhelming emotions, his range of reactions, his environment in pv, the potential for a different ending to his story. i relate to jim on so many levels, his family life is much the same as mine and given half a chance, i’d have turned to surfing to escape from it too.

18. Have you read The Tribes of Palos Verdes? If so what did you think of it?

honestly i haven’t read it because i’m not quite over jim’s story just yet. i feel like if i read the book, it might close my mind to any possibility of another path to his life. i think about this way too deeply but i like movie jim more than my imagination could conjure up if i read it. oh and then there’s the fact that the paper pages wouldn’t survive my floods of tears...

19. What is it that you like/admire most about Cody?

my answer to this changes every damn day and today it’s his tenacity. he chooses roles that challenge him, roles in which he can see truly boundless depth in, roles that take anybody to a different plane on paper so he can add that extra rare sparkle on screen. how many actors do you see out there playing the likes of charlie, richard and milk in the same career as xavier and duncan? he’s beyond versatile, he’s fluid, he’s chameleonic.

1. From one to five stars, how would you rate your writing? (No downplaying yourself!)

well if no downplaying’s allowed i guess i’d give it a 3/5? some mistakes since i’m not a native plus i”m still working on getting my english style better! i like what i come up with all the same, i’ve improved a lot these past two years, and my grammar isn’t that bad i guess?

2. Why do you write fanfiction?

to do what developers didn’t do in the first place to make good use of my imagination, to cope with the fact that some characters don’t exist and i will never follow another one of their adventures, to forget about a boring real life...

3. What do you think makes your writing stand out from other works?

my writing doesn’t stand out lmaooo but i guess i’m always trying to focus on the character’s psychology, struggles and all that, so if someone likes my work, it’s ‘original’ bc it’s usually quite different from the usual stories where there are a lot of dialogues and interactions.

4. Are there any writers that inspire you?

i’ve been inspired a lot by @welcometogressenheller​ (i wish i could do as well as she does.....), @aceklaviergavin​ (kudos to you even if you never see that post and you probably don’t know who i am), and some others whose name i forgot (sorry!)

5. What’s the fic you’re most proud of?

i didn’t write much but i guess that my latest fics are really nice (There’s No Light In You Anymore, and the whole Faith series on AO3). also my big project “Now That You’re Gone”, i’m glad i’ve been able to write that much for it and i intend on continuing as soon as i find the motivation!

6. What element of writing do you find comes easily?

pain, struggles and all that comes with it as long as it’s in the character’s mind, because beware here you step in a dark space

ordinary scenes of life? i always find my writing lacking as soon as i step out of my comfort zone, i’m all for rambling and never-ending pain

professor layton and the shattering secrets!!! i’m so happy of what this AU will look like when i’ll be done writing the following chapters, at first it probably looks annoying but heck i wanna promise anyone who’s reading it that the plot twists are gonna be worth it even though the overall background isn’t that original because i’ve mixed up different elements from other games (aaaand we’re back in our oh-so-amazing comfort zone that covers up a massive lack of imagination)

@welcometogressenheller telling me she believed i was a native!!! i struggle so much trying to improve my writing style in english and i have a lot of insecurities so it was so heartwarming and incredible to read...

also basically any other comment where people tell me they like what i write. i love that writers feel the need to take some time reviewing my works bc i need constant validation

28. How well do you handle criticism when it comes to your writing?

well i’ve never really received ‘harsh’ criticism or anything, save for some very rare remarks on my grammar so i guess i don’t know? at first it’s always sad to see that what i’ve done isn’t perfect but i guess it’s impossible to be perfect so i’m really happy that people take some time to underline what looks wrong to them

29. Have you ever gone outside of your comfort zone for a fic? How did it turn out?

currently trying to with shattering secrets and it’s actually a great way to improve!

30. Tooth-rotting fluff or merciless angst?

i wish i could but it would perhaps be a huge spoiler so i don’t wanna say much about them...

i have 1) annabell sycamore, des’s wife, whose personality fits very much mine. she’s a playwright, spends lot of her time writing and acting in front of des AND WITH des. also she’s a very realistic person and some people usually tell her that she’s being too pessimistic 

2) aurelia from the shattering secrets and on her i really cannot say much... if anyone’s read this far it would be so nice if you could give SS a shot by the way!! 

32. Summarize a random fic of yours in 10 words or less.

desmond sometimes finds happiness but it’s always taken from him

33. Is there anything you wish your audience knew about your writing or writing process?

i don’t translate my works from my original language to english, i write straight in english. i spend a lot of time making sure i haven’t done any grammatical mistakes, checking the definition and the use of some words i’m not sure about, and sometimes it’s quite a pain and it can be also very discouraging bc i end up believing what i write comes from a random internet dictionary while deep down i know it’s not true but hey what can i say. huge insecurities laid bare here.

Behind the Scenes of Fic Writing: 30 Questions for Authors

What was the first fandom and/or pairing that you wrote fic for?

Hinny, all the way! It wasn’t good, but it was Hinny.

Do you participate in any writing events or challenges throughout the year? If so, what do you like about them?

I tend to participate in them semi-often on SIYE. I find them a good way to get some creative juices flowing with a topic or subject I wouldn’t have thought about on my own. 

Do you write fics from start or finish, or jump around?

I go chapter by chapter. I would confuse myself too much if I started writing chapter 5 but then headed over to chapter 12. Also, I kinda don’t plan everything that far ahead. Which I’ll explain more in the next question lol

Do you outline before you start writing? If so, how far do you stray from that outline?

I do a quick overall base of what I want to do, who the enemies are, important moments I really want to happen, but I never do a full outline. A lot of the time I will have something planned for 5 chapters in the future, but no idea how to get there. I let inspiration strike me and go from there. 

What is the perfect environment for you to write in?

A hot cup of tea, music playing softly in the background, and an empty house. It’s perfect when everything is quiet except for my music and my mechanical keyboard.  

If you’re really concentrating, how many words can you write in a day?

Hmmm. I’ve never tested myself but I think the most I’ve ever done is 10,000 in one day. I wrote two chapters of “Only the Best” in one day and I aimed to make every chapter in that story at least 5,000 words. So I’d guess around 10,000. 

Which part of writing do you struggle with most?

Editing. I hate re-reading my work only looking for flaws. If I were to re-read my work I’d want it to be for enjoyment and nostalgia, but alas in order to find enjoyment in the writing it needs to be edited well lol. 

Do you listen to music while you write? If so, share a song that’s been inspiring you lately.

There is this live version of Can’t Go on Without You by KALEO that I love. Actually I’m listening to it right now. I listen to it at least once when I’m writing. 

Do you prefer to write AUs, canon divergence, or canon-compliant fic?

AU”s all the way! I love taking a different world than the original and trying to fit everything into this different situation. I love Muggle AU’s the best for some reason.  

Do you enjoy writing dialogue, exposition, or plot the most?

Dialogue is so much fun. Trying to come up with a witty comeback or heartwrenching final line is so intense and interesting. 

If you could only write angst, fluff, or smut for the rest of your life, which would it be?

I love me some fluff. Like sometimes I go out with every intention on making things angst, and then they turn int fluff lol.

Is there a trope you haven’t written yet but really want to?

I don’t think I’ve done a “forced to share a bed” fic and that could be fun

Is there a trope you wouldn’t write if it was the last trope on earth?

Does slow burn count as a trope? I just can’t handle waiting so long for my ship together lol

If you were stuck on a desert island with only two characters, which would you pick?

Ginny Weasley and Hermione. Hermione because she could get us off the island somehow, and Ginny because she and I would have a great time cracking jokes while we helped Hermione. 

A Hollywood producer tells you that they want to film just one of your fics. Which fic would you want it to be?

Hmmm. I think I would dig a film of Doom Days or Covert Love. Both have everything needed for a movie. Action, romance, and twists you don’t see coming lol.

What is your most underrated fic?

I wouldn’t say I have any underrated fics because they always are so much better received than I ever intend… that being said, I would love if more people read Doom Days

What fic are you most proud of?

This goes back to the last question. I spent so long planning and plotting Doom Days and I am extremely happy with the way it’s come out. 

What is a line/scene you’re really proud of? Give us the DVD commentary for that scene.

Well because I don’t want to give to much away I’ll show off this once part. 

His lips curled with forced levity. 

I love the word levity and I really wanted to use it and then I thought about how when I’m making a bad joke in a bad moment I always smile to make people understand how I truly feel. Such a simple sentence brought me so much pride.

Who is the easiest/hardest character for you to write about? Why?

I find that I struggle with Hermione. She’s so much more… straight edge than I tend to focus on, so I have a hard time adding her into stories because I’m afraid I won’t do her justice. 

What’s your favorite minor character you’ve written?

Right now it’s Prue from Covert Love. She is my own created character and I’ve had so much fun crafting this backstory that revolves around.... Things I wouldn’t talk about here ;)

What is the one fic that got away?

It hasn’t gotten away yet! I can still write it…. But when I was on a volcano in Spain I saw an adorable meet-cute and I really wanna make it a Hinny meet-cute. I just need to dedicate time… which I never seem to have lol  

Have you cried while writing a fic?

Ummm…. I don’t think there have ever been tears but I was hit hard while writing the argument between Harry and Ginny in Covert Love. 

If you had to remix one of your own fics, which would it be and how would you remix it?

Hmmm. I think I would have to say Only the Best because I would have liked to add more hints towards who was the culprit. I don’t think I put out enough clues so the reader could have had a chance to figure it out on their own. 

How did you come up with title for Covert Love?

I knew I was going to be focusing a lot on the undercover element in this story but the love aspect was also going to be huge so I looked up words that meant undercover and really liked Covert. And it’s also a play on words because Harry and Ginny need to keep their love covert from everyone so Harry doesn’t get in trouble ;)

Which idea came to you first in Covert Love?

It was literally just the general idea of Harry being undercover and falling in love with Ginny. The idea to have her be under his protection started to form as I explored ways for them to meet. And when I decided to have him be unable to tell her about his job… I knew I had something I would love creating and working on. I knew I would have drama and so many intense moments I would be so proud of the story, which is always my goal. 

Which part of Covert Love was the hardest to write?

The moment where Harry and Ginny fight because he didn’t tell her about his job. I knew the discovery scene was going to be vital and it always hurts to write Ginny and Harry fighting. So it felt like a lot of pressure and I think overall it came out really well!

If you were ever to do a sequel to Covert Love, what do you think might happen in it?

Hmmm… well I don’t have any plans on doing a sequel at this time, but that’s because I haven’t finished writing the first one yet :P

In Covert Love, what is a happy, post-fic headcanon you have about Hinny?

Harry and Ginny getting to stay together when everything is said and done… maybe a kid or two that love quidditch as much as their mom 

A word that describes my WIP

Strive. Everyone is striving for something, even the bad guy. It all comes back to the person and their goals and how much effort they are willing to put into getting what they want/need. 

Tell us an idea for a long fic you want to write in the future.

Well… I haven’t started it at all and the research will take a while, but I wanna do a Muggle AU treasure hunter fic. Harry is a treasure hunter who is out searching for a famous lost treasure. While out on an adventure, he runs into a wild red head who is somehow roped into helping Harry. They hate each other at first but fall in love with each other as the adventure goes on. Also, there is another hunter out for the glory of finding this treasure and they have to deal with that crazy bloke and his men. If you’ve played the Uncharted games you’ve seen the format and I’d love to do something with it! Let me know what you guys think!

What was the first fandom and/or pairing that you wrote fic for? Uh, probably Danny Phantom when I was like twelve 😂

Do you participate in any writing events or challenges throughout the year? If so, what do you like about them? Nope bc this is a small fandom and we don’t do many of those.

Do you write fics from start or finish, or jump around? I usually start at the start and then when I get stuck I’ll just skip that part, keep going, and come back to it later.  If I have an idea and I’m afraid I’ll forget it, I might also skip ahead and write it.

Do you outline before you start writing? If so, how far do you stray from that outline? I love outlining more that actually writing lmao, the longer the fic the more I outline.  I usually stick to it pretty closely, which isn’t aways good for my writing...

What is the perfect environment for you to write in? Quiet and private.  Other than that I haven’t figured out the tricks to getting myself to focus :(

Do you enjoy writing dialogue, exposition, or plot the most? Probably dialogue? Exposition is great bc I get to explain the AU, but It’s not good for the flow of the fic.  Dialogue can be really satisfying to write when you get in a groove with it.

If you could only write angst, fluff, or smut for the rest of your life, which would it be? Fluff!

Is there a trope you haven’t written yet but really want to? Oh god so many.  I have notes on tons of tropes I’d like to write... I’d like to do a college AU (and I meant to do it while I was actually in college but oops).  I posted a soulmate AU once but I’d like to do another.  Oh and I have lots of ideas for crossover AUs and I’m still deciding how to handle those.

Is there a trope you wouldn’t write if it was the last trope on earth? Honestly probably not.  I’m not huge on character death, genderbends, or reader inserts, for example, but I have ideas for fics involving all of those. 

If you were stuck on a desert island with only two characters, which would you pick? No one from gnr that’s for sure, that’d be a disaster.  How about... Percy Jackson and idk Wonder Woman?

A Hollywood producer tells you that they want to film just one of your fics. Which fic would you want it to be? Hmm out of the fics that I’ve posted... maybe Sumthin’ for Nuthin’ actually? I abandoned that poor fic but I still really like the plot.  And there’s plenty of longer, more plot-heavy fics I have outlined that would be cool to see as films.  In general I often imagine concepts visually instead of with words.

What is your most underrated fic? Saving Grace didn’t get a lot of notes and I get why – it’s kinda niche and there’s no actual romance.  But I think it’s well-written and I’m proud of it.

What fic are you most proud of? Maybe the whole cat!slash universe?  I don’t think it’s my best writing per se, but I’m still really attached to the concept and it was a pleasant surprise that other people seemed to like it too.

What is a line/scene you’re really proud of? Give us the DVD commentary for that scene. I’ve always been partial to the paragraph in Sweetness that ends with “Their coffee has long gone cold (and so has Duff’s spine - snakes give him the heebie-jeebies), but Slash’s enthusiasm is sweeter than the Duff’s half-eaten bowl of melted ice cream, and Duff is eating it up with a spoon.”  Just... the coffee is cold and so is Duff’s spine, Slash is sweet and so is the ice cream, and using “eating it up with a spoon” idiomatically while it’s also thematically relevant to a sentence about dessert... I really like to layer meaning when I can.

Who is the easiest/hardest character for you to write about? Why? Slash tends to be the center in most of my writing, but actually I think it’s easier to write from Duff’s pov.  Maybe bc when I’m writing sluff I can just channel my crush on Slash through Duff lmao.  Interesting tho bc when it comes to the real people, I find Slash much more relatable than Duff or the others.

What’s your favorite minor character you’ve written? Hah maybe Slash in the funeral home AU, it’s a duzzy ficlet so he’s just a side character but I got a kick out of writing his and Steven’s background antics.

What is the one fic that got away? Well, I really wish I’d finished Sumthin’ for Nuthin’ before I kinda lost interest in Motley Crue, that fic was gonna get more dramatic from there.  Would it be worth it to just post the outline?  Plus there’s a few potential longfic ideas that I’ve put a lot of love into, but I doubt they’ll ever be posted or completed considering the way I can’t seem to focus on one idea long enough to write more than a one-shot :( But hey I guess you never know.

Have you cried while writing a fic? Nope.  I do have some angsty ideas though, hopefully they’ll surface someday.

If you had to remix one of your own fics, which would it be and how would you remix it? Someday I’d like to rewrite the cat!Slash fic from the beginning, make it a real multichap or at least a proper series of vignettes.  Id also be interesting in a darker version of that AU, since there’s definitely potential for that in the concept.  But I’m pretty attached to the fluffy little universe I made, so I’d probably prefer to explore those darker themes in a different (but maybe similar) universe – I have a few ideas.

How did you come up with title for [x fic]? Most of my fics have self-explanatory titles or none at all, the only one I have much to say about is Saving Grace.  Duff needed a miracle to get out of his situation, Slash was his saving grace.  But also, Grace is the name of Duff’s oldest daughter, and Duff’s motive in the story is trying to “save” her.  Despite the double meaning in the title, I avoided referring to the child by name or as Duff’s “daughter”/explaining how they ended up together.  I wanted to maintain some of the mystery of the apocalyptic genre: characters with mysterious origins, found families, aliases, etc.  That’s definitely one of the ways that Mad Max and DOOM influenced this fic.  (Oh, also Serpentine is a dick joke via a wttj reference: “My serpentine.”  That’s it tho, the rest are pretty straightforward.)

Which idea came to you first in [x fic]? Feel free to send a fic for any/all of the next few questions! Generally speaking, my ideas are character driven, I want to portray a character or relationship a certain way and I build a world that allows me to do that.

Tell us an idea for a longfic you want to write in the future. Ok, so I have three main longfic ideas, but the easiest one to explain is an AU set in a version of the 1980s where ancient greek deities exist, Axl’s life is parallel to that of Perseus, and Slash is cursed like Medusa.   Lots of drama, lots of influence from greek theater, untrustworthy gods, unrequited feelings, dramatic irony... fuck I hope I write it someday.

7. List your NoTPs from each fandom you’ve been in. 

I don’t know that I have proper NoTPs just ones I am not really fond of - especially in fanworks. Idk why but for some reason fanfiction about a canon couple is just boring to me, I already know they are together so why would I need more stories about it? 

One Piece: Luffy and well... anyone. He is too in love with adventure to have a romance and lets be real, always feels like a little kid unless he is in one of his “gotta win or everyone is screwed” serious moments. 

Fairy Tail: I do not like Ju.via and Gray, enough that I don’t even want to chance her name ending with this in her tag because many people in that fandom are toxic and last time I dared say I don’t like this ship I got bitched at for it. Sorry, I just don’t find stalking someone until they give in to be romantic. 

Naruto: I do not get people liking Sasuke with pretty much anyone, but especially Sakura or Naruto. He is an ass to them repeatedly and they both deserve better - and being very honest, he deserved much stricter punishment for all the ship he pulled. 

Star Wars: I am going to preface this with this: I haven’t seen Clone Wars. Not all of it. Probably won’t. But I don’t like the Obi-Wan and Satine relationship. Everything I have seen of it just doesn’t jive for me, even though both voice actors are adorably sweet and meeting them was a blast. 

Swtor: I have not done all the romances yet, so this may change, but the SW and Jaesa is just... disappointing. Its mostly about her being possessive and manipulative and very little actual romance. The other SW relationships prove is doesn't have to be that way, so why is she? I get that they were probably going for the whole “fallen Jedi going balls to the wall crazy” but yeah, didn’t need to happen and I hated it so much I cut the romance planes I had for her and Tully even though I already planned to write it differently. 

8. How did you get involved in your latest fandom? 

I started playing Swtor and didn’t know about the romance options so when I could suddenly flirt with Doc I even stopped playing to turn to my husband and go “omg I can flirt with this guy?” He knew this of course and was just like “yeah...” (Honestly I had made a trial account for swtor when it first came out and if I had known about the romance options in the stories I probably would have staying with it instead of forgetting about the game). It was only a matter of time before I wanted to write a story about Noara and Doc, because I did totally ship them until a certain blond Mandalorian made his presence known.

17. Who was your first OTP and are they still your favourite? 

First otp... I think that would be Nami and Trafalgar Law from One Piece. I love them so much, even now despite not being active in the fandom and soooo behind on both the manga and the anime. They are not my current favorite though, that has to be Noara and Torian. 

23. Name a fic you’ve written that you’re especially fond of & explain why you like it. 

Oh goodness a fic I am especially fond of? And why? Thats a tough one because I have little bits of love for all of them but I mean.... A Poor Stand In is probably one of my favorite things I have ever written for many reasons, the subject matter, approach and reactions mainly. Plus it just makes me laugh, I find it very funny on a lot of levels. Still waiting for someone to ask me wtf is wrong with me that I wrote this but since no one has maybe people are more into Khem then they like to admit? ;)

On a more serious note I am very fond of Well Played Cadera because I like the blend of Noara’s anxiety and fears, the arguing, the humor. Torian is a little shit in it and is so right to be, and it works too. He is figuring out how to get his Jedi to listen to him, even if it means taking off all his clothing.

I have been terrible about reading fanfiction lately but  seeing as how my Goodreads challenge is sitting at 98/30 for the year I am going to cut myself some slack and just say I am on a sicfi romance novel kick that is taking precedence over fanworks. That being said there are some that of course I am following and even if I am a little behind on I totally intend to catch up. 

Heart on a Trigger by @cinlat

Part 4 of the Meet Me On The Battlefield series about Mandalorian turned Republic Trooper Fynta Wolfe and Aric Jorgan, plus a large cast of other amazing characters (like Cormac, I love that big fluffy teddy bear). I am sure anyone paying attention to my blog is surpsied I am keeping up with this one, I get sneak peaks at updates before they come out (or are even edited properly) and my girl Noara is a small background character. 

Something Better by @shimmersing

This was recently finished and omg, I need to go read it all but I just know it’s going to be good. I adore the way Shimmer writes Aitahe and Erithon and, honestly, it being a non-canon couple availabe in game makes it just that much more appealing to me (because no matter how this JC and Trooper end up together, it’s new to me and not just rehashing the game, makes it exciting!).

The Summary: Star Wars Fan Comic: Emperor Palpatine's suspicions of Darth Vader grow intolerable, which will cause the Empire and the Imperial Navy to be torn into two separate directions. Several officers will step up in this time of confusion, and Darth Vader will form new surprisingly faithful alliances.Yeah that’s it, great art, comic book story telling, Vader being surprised by his men. It’s a fun ride. 

Chaos and Opportunity by @inquisitorhotpants

I haven’t read it in a while, but anything I have read as many times as I have this one needs to be on this list. I love the dynamic between Marr and Kryn and how their relationship develops and the way this story doesn’t accept canon (I was so concerned about Marr’s in game death and at least in this story about them that didn’t happen and I for one am thankful for it).

The One That Got Away by @punsbulletsandpointythings

Another SW but not Swtor one, this one has so much wonderful angst, fluff, humor and love in it and every update has left me dying to know what was going to happen next. Give me some time travel possibly doomed from the start romance any day. 

46. If someone was to read one of your fanfics, which fic would you recommend  to them and why? 

Humm... of works only written by me probably I’ve Got You even though I haven't updated in ages (I have been working on it the last few days though, that has to count for something) because it is what really got me back into writing after not doing it in a long time and the main story really exploring how a Jedi and a Mandalorian can work out in a relationship. 

Of things I wrote with @cinlat Thunder and Scars for sure. The whole undertaking of this fic was both so much fun but also such a labor of love and heartache. There is one scene in it that even thinking about it now makes me tear up a little and I am not usually that emotional. Exploring those emotions through Noara and the family she found with Fynta, Cormac and Aric was a wonderful learning experience both for her as a character and me as a writer.

A/N: @sdavid09s writing challenge day 30 is here!! with this nearly being over I have had some time to think where I will take my writing when it’s over, and I have after talking with the lovely @gaia-writes-stuff and @indelwen-of-mirkwood decided that I will start doing what I call emotion fics, aka fics that are based on a specififc emotion like loyalty, love or guilt. You can send me an emotion and a character if you want otherwise only an emotion is fine and I will do it so it can fit to any character as much as I can. Sorry for the long text, thank you for reading all the way!!

Prompt: Sickness. Illness. It sucks, doesn’t it. Even something like the cold can lay you up for days! So…what kind of patient is your character when they fall ill?

Peter Parker x reader

Peter had felt it coming. He had felt a bit of these last few days, at first he just thought he was tired from all the work he had been doing lately, from school as well as the missions with the Avengers. He still couldn’t believe that he had made the team, he thought that if he closed his eyes long enough, it would all go away. But as the week proceeded he felt worse and worse. It was like whatever it was that he had caught crept up on him slowly, planning its route with great care and find the worst time possible to strike.

Peter is stubborn. He had caught the worst cold of the twenty first century, or more accurately, the worst cold of the twenty first century had caught him. He had never felt this sick in all his seventeen years of life. His nose was stuffy and he couldn’t breathe out of it, his forehead was burning to the touch and his whole body felt sluggish and slow. As he walked through the school halls he dreamed of being back home, buried in his bed under as many blankets that he could find and doing absolutely nothing.

He still had two lessons to go, and it was the worst ones, there is nothing Peter finds more boring than listening to Mr. Kinley and old Miss Visconti. The lesson material itself was fine, but their way with teaching just takes the life right out of you, and since Peter didn’t have much life in him to begin with today, he was doomed from the start. He didn’t want to admit to anyone that he was, in fact, sick. Although, Ned had made several attempts at persuading him to just go home for the day.

About halfway through Miss Viscontis lesson Peter had been interrupted in his note writing by a major wave of dizziness, and the dizziness itself made him nauseous beyond measure. He tried to focus on what was being said in the front of the class but every time he tried to focus his vision on something he just got more nauseous. Peter thought he could hear a voice calling out to him somewhere in the back of his head but he wasn’t sure, and as he tried once more to focus, he lost balance and fell of the chair.

All he could recall was darkness. He heard some distant chatter and since he didn’t have his eyes open, it was easier for him to focus on what he could hear. The voice sounded familiar, and now that he thought about it, the ground he was laying on didn’t feel as hard. He made a great effort to open his eyes, even if he really didn’t want to. His body tried to resist, but as usual, Peter’s stubbornness won. Now he could see his surroundings, and as he had suspected, it was very familiar. Actually, he was located in his very own room, on his very own bed.

The voice was familiar because it belonged to none other than aunt May, who was sitting at the side of the bed, wearing a very concerned expression. After a while Peter had gotten it all explained. He had fainted in class whole five hours prior due to over straining his body, which aunt May gave him a long scolding for. He got to spend the rest of the day in bed, and the rest of the week too. His dream came true, he was buried under a mountain of blankets and he had the best movie marathon in the history of movie marathons. Being sick felt like shit but it had its perks, but only if you could swallow your pride long enough to admit it.

Roo’s Classic Literature Writing Challenge

As my first writing challenge, I am going to provide a list of classic literature quotes under the cut for all you lovelies to choose from. I thought it would be something a little different for everyone and something to have fun with.

#5 seduction

Bow and Glimmer were just hanging out in her spacious room, generally minding their own business and feeling rather proud of themselves. They had just delivered a round of ‘Best Friend Squad’ advice to Adora, and it was probably their best advice to date. “She’s grown up so fast,” Glimmer had said wistfully as Adora skipped out the door, bolstered by a group hug. Now, they simply had to wait for the fruit of their labor to come to fruition, blossoming long-awaited love right before their very eyes-

The door slammed open so hard Bow screamed and Glimmer fell off her ceiling bed. 

“Guys,” Adora wheezed as she stormed in, looking more winded and panicked than usual. “She’s DEAD.” 

“WHAT?” Bow’s voice went higher as he matched the panicked state of his friend. “Who is dead, Adora?!” 

“CATRA!” Adora grabbed at her hair poof, stricken. “One minute I was following your advice and then the next, she’s DEAD--”

“Hold the fuck up!!” Glimmer intervened, waving her hands to prevent any more damage from happening. “You can’t commit murder! My mom would KILL me!” 

“That’s what you’re worried about?” Bow said in disbelief as Adora took to pacing about the room, laughing to herself while muttering “this isn’t happening, this isn’t happening, its all Mara’s fault-” 

“What? Catra probably had it coming!” 

“NOBODY HAS THAT COMING, GLIMMER,” Bow snapped so hard his voice chipped into a million pieces. 

“OH MY god, I actually killed Catra!” Adora shouted into the curtains across the room. 

“Stop saying that, Adora! We can’t let anyone know you murdered Catra!” Glimmer glimmered Adora up onto her bed. “Don’t move!”

“And where are you going?” Bow asked once Glimmer teleported back down. 

“Where do you think?!” she snapped back at him before poofing into glitter. A second later she reappeared wielding a rolled-up rug twice her height. “WE’RE GOING TO HIDE A BODY!”

“NO! NOnononono, I am NOT hiding a dead body today,” Bow tried to take the rolled-up rug away from Glimmer. However, the small Princess was much stronger than she looked, resulting in a heated tug of war. 

“Why won’t you get rid of a dead body for your best friend, Bow?!” Glimmer accused as she manhandled the rug away from the archer. 

“I’m trying to think rationally here! Where would you even hide a dead body, Glimmer?!”

“Well, OBVIOUSLY in a spare room, where else would I hide a dead body?!” 

Their shouting match nearly drowned out the sniffles of their third party member above them. Hearing it, they went from fiery panic to somber guilt in an instant. 

“Maybe we should take stock of the situation first?” Bow offered quietly. 

“Yeah,” Glimmer agreed with an accepting sigh. Just for good measure, she gave one last tug to the rug, but Bow held fast and shot her a warning look. “Ugh, okay okay! Talking first, hiding the dead body later,” she relented. 

A second later they were both up in Glimmer’s bed overlooking the room and their clearly broken up friend huddled in the sheets. 

“Oh, Adora,” Glimmer took pity on her, pulling the blonde into a hug. Adora melted into the smaller girl’s warm embrace, pitiful tears escaping her eyes. 

“Idunnowhathappeneditwasllsocrazy,” Adora’s mumbles somehow strung together a sentence.

“Tell us what happened, Adora,” Bow encouraged in his best supportive friend voice.

It took a few minutes for Adora’s sniveling to calm down enough to understand what she was saying. 

“W-well, earlier, I was trying out those lines you made me rehearse…” 

-Earlier-

Adora squinted at the writing she had scribbled onto her palm before speaking in her most confident voice. “Catra, would you like to accompany me to the, Cineighma, tonight? It would be most, auspiciooious.” 

“What? What the fuck language are you even speaking, Adora?” Catra stomped down Adora’s attempt at being charming so fast, the blonde was left stumbling on her own feet. 

“Er, uh, what I’m trying to say, that is,” Adora was deflating faster than a popped balloon. 

“Whatever, check out this weird thing I found in my room.” Catra dismissed whatever Adora was saying to pull her over to her bed. 

“That? Oh, that’s a cushion,” Adora enunciated, proud that she was now the one who knew what a thing was called. 

“Is it like a pillow?” 

“Sort of? Except there’s extra of them.”

“Why?” Catra questioned, tilting her head in annoyed confusion. 

“Uhh… Well, because..? I have no idea,” Adora deadpanned, glaring at the offending mystery cushion as well. 

“I wanna tear it to pieces,” Catra announced, unsheathing her claws. 

“Please don’t.” 

-Present-

“And then you killed her?” Glimmer said in understanding. Bow cleared his throat and communicated his thoughts that Glimmer should reign it in through his facial expressions alone.

“She wanted to destroy a cushion, Bow! What sort of monster would do that?” She stroked Adora’s head in comfort and whispered: “You did the right thing.”  

Bow groaned. “Then what actually happened, Adora?” 

Adora wiped a trail of snot from her nose. “And then Catra said ‘Shut up idiot if you wanna hit this tail then hit it you coward’ and I was like ‘kay’ because I’m NOT a coward, and then--” 

“WhoaWhoaWHOA, time out!” Bow held up his hands in surrender. “Do we really need to know this part?” 

“Oh, that little hussy!” Glimmer growled, holding innocent Adora closer to herself. “We put so much work into teaching you the art of seduction only for it to be that easy? I can’t believe I actually put thought into my advice!”

“Your advice was ‘waterfall and chill’,” Bow muttered into his palm, which was currently buried in his face. 

“Oh, like yours was any better?”

“I told her to be herself!”

“That never actually works, Bow!” 

“Is that really your take away from this story? Really?”

“My take away from this story is that Adora killed a woman by banging her brains out, BOW!” Adora’s sniffling turned into a full-blown wail, startling the bickering pair. “Not that it’s your fault, she obviously couldn’t handle you!” Glimmer was quick to console. 

“Oh my god, could you please just SHHshedhssheSHHSh!” Bow was about ready to strangle himself with his own crop top. “What actually freaking happened, Adora?!” 

“I hit it!” Adora cried. 

“What?” 

“I turned into She-Ra and I hit her tail!” At this point, an entire waterfall was gushing out of Adora’s face. “She went all-” Adora made a noise like a high-pitched gorilla grunt, “- and now she’s DEAD.” 

“HOW THOUGH?” Bow screeched. 

“Don’t stress her out, Bow! We need to hurry up and get rid of the body!!” 

“I can’t even BELIEVE-- hhhhh- hrnfineFINE, which spare room are we using?”

Outside the door and listening to this entire conversation, Catra wished she actually was dead.
