sou !! hello !! this is also random and specific but i saw the datekou headcanon post and i was wondering. might you have any inarizaki road trip hcs?

i didn't until you asked me so LET'S GO

oh god you thought dateko was bad??? they were only stuck in the car for thirty minutes at MOST

(or something idk i haven't quite mapped out their geography yet but miyagi is a coastal prefecture and sendai isn't like SUPER far inland, so i'm just making assumptions out here)

but anyways. kurosu is driving obviously as much as he moans and groans about it

shoutout to the coaches btw they are CARRYING these headcanons

realistically i guess they'd road trip to another school for a training camp or like idk. maybe hot springs for some r&r bc inarizaki def has the budget for it but in my heart they road trip to suna's hometown during one of the breaks so suna can see his family <333

i guess it also kind of depends on WHERE in hyogo and aichi they are but we could get a solid 4-5 hours of driving if it was from, say, asago to tahara

kita makes a list of all the snacks everyone wants and rounds up aran, oomimi, and akagi to help him raid the market/convenience store like the old hunter-gatherer days

they end up with two massive tote bags of drinks, chips, cookies, and other miscellaneous snacks and one cooler for things like puddings and cakes and whatnot

oomimi sits shotgun because kurosu needed someone to help with directions and everyone else was on "make sure the miyas don't kill each other before we get there" duty

they all thought that kita was brilliant for making atsumu sit in the back and osamu up front because even tho they're separated the twins will NOT stop bickering and trying to throw random pieces of trash at each other. poor riseki gets caught in the crossfire the most often

they all converged to make one giant road trip playlist so you've got the weirdest mix of pop rock/bubblegum/k-pop/city pop, lofi, indie soft rock, show tunes and soundtracks, and more

(i named those genres with certain charas in mind so like. have fun figuring that out!)

nobody's willing to take a nap in fear of what the twins might do to each other when they're not looking

they play really stupid games like the alphabet-chain game and i spy and even try for a few rounds of truth or dare because, hey, there's nothing like being stuck in a car with your fellow teenagers for four hours to set the mood for emotionally vulnerable bonding time, right?

anyways. everyone learns that gin is afraid of heights and all sorts of horror movies, akagi would like to get his ears pierced some day, kosaku got rejected in middle school in front of his entire class and has refused to fall in love since, and suna takes pictures to capture the memory of a place he does not want to forget

(sorry i'm being emo about suna missing home again i'll stop)

kurosu is sweating BUCKETS in the front seat btw. "oh my god what do i do with this information am i supposed to talk to them i'm their TEACHER i'm supposed to guide them i do NOT get paid enough for this - "

a shame, really, considering inarizaki could definitely afford to give that man a raise

it's okay they get some really funny dares like daring gin to text his crush a totally random and weird question

(and thank god atsumu has his phone tucked away in his bag)

there's not a whole lot of dares they can do in the car tbh so they get really creative like daring osamu to eat this absolutely evil concoction of mixing tiramisu pudding into a bag of spicy chips and eating the whole thing

he does. nobody knows how he survived it

and then riseki dared both osamu AND atsumu to shut up and sit down and not even so much as GLANCE each other for the rest of the trip

this was at, like, the 1.5 hour mark btw

and okay he didn't say it EXACTLY like that because riseki is a sweet respectful underclassman but that WAS the closest to snapping he's ever gotten

they do stop occasionally here and there to get out and stretch their legs, but this makes their trip even longer bc it takes like thirty minutes each time to wrangle everyone and get them back in the van

also akagi is trying out his most terrible pickup lines. or antipickup lines. either one works

akagi: "are you lactose? because i can't tolerate you ;)" aran: "PLEASE, MAKE HIM STOP"

the only reason aran feels like he isn't completely suffering is because gin is sitting next to him and gin is kind of soothing like a cute pet would be. not that aran is thinking of gin as a pet nooooo ahahaha that would be weird

meanwhile gin is wondering why aran keeps trying to feed him crackers

they finally get to suna's hometown after being on the road for SIX AND A HALF HOURS

and while everyone is happy to be outside soaking up the sun and fresh air, they're all going to miss the bonding of being stuck in a van perhaps just a little bit

it's all right, they've got the return trip to look forward to

(made 100x worse when akagi busts out a drinking game and proclaims they should play with juice boxes, but that's a story for another time)

notes: january feels like it will be a busy month for me. in a good way, it's a good feeling. maybe this is also a sign i will meet rl isagi. those things aside, happy new year everyone. good luck for this year too. have this very fit of madness hcs. warnings: none, just fluff of downbad & lovesick boys, reader's gender unspecified.

characters: isagi, chigiri, rin

isagi yoichi—

is so understanding and sharp that you will never feel uncared for. most probably also got a list of your favorite things & important dates in his notes & calendar. even noel noa doesn't get that privilege. he is so downbad that everyone just accepts everything is second to you (and soccer).

is the type that gets so into you once you get his heart. do you worry that you might be #2 soccer? stay still babe, at some point you kind of mix in with 'the soccer' too honestly. every first goal? dedicated in your name. first person to call after a match? you—no matter how short or long it will be, it has to be you. he is away for a match overseas? you better be the one who gets a sleep call schedule ready because when yoichi wants something yoichi will somehow do it. and if you try to praise him—despite all the years of growing confidence—he still gets flustered like a boy with his first crush when it's you. it's as endearing as it is embarrassing to him. if someone points it out he will state it with pride though—after all, his feelings for you are one of his pride.

however, is also the type of guy who would rather shoulder as much as possible. he does it out of love, sure, but having him trying to swallow some problem under the guise of "forcing you to change something is a big no" is just asking for a bigger problem in the long run. so, you do have to be the one who gets the serious talks starting—and he sometimes could get really stubborn even though he is one of the most communicative ones so get ready for that. the thing with yoichi is that he really has to get it to accept it.

chigiri hyoma—

is a beautiful ikemen who walks with the charm of a shoujo manga lead maxed out. as in if this guy falls for you he just naturally acts like a shoujo lead who came to life. and he is also one of the most fashionable guys who puts attention and care on his and your appearance. try to aim for the cutest couple award and high chance you will win.

is also a very dedicated man. he will make sure you know how much he treasures you and it shows. he is not the tidiest person, he is also a pretty demanding guy, but with you? "fine, okay. i'm doing this just for you, you know," he says and hyoma doesn't lie. he will do anything for you. the amount of trust he puts on you is really evident too and he is not one to shy away from saying it. also, trust that this guy will gladly run across tokyo on a lazy monday morning during his rare break just to deliver you anything if you ask. he will demand kisses, yes, but that's also a benefit in its own way.

but, he is also very moody and, admittedly, impatient. so when he gets into this sort of mood you have to keep your head clear and deal with him until his head cools down. he won't hurt you—he will never—but without a doubt his attitude and wording could definitely drag your anger out. he also tends to focus on one thing and one thing only when he gets like this, while it has its benefits, during these times you have to be really patient when trying to talk to him.

itoshi rin—

is the type of guy who truly embodies "it's the small things". also, he is so attentive and combining this with the fact he is more into action than words—you honestly get yourself a gold mine of top-tier 'act of service' bf.

is actually very affectionate once you can translate his silent languages. he is always close to you at every chance he gets. it's not even funny. some people could translate this as some guard dog behavior, some braver souls translate this like a kid following the elder around, but honestly rin just likes being close to you. it calms him down in a way that also somehow manages to keep him awake—which is a nicer way to put 'this guy sometimes barely blinks when he is staring at you'. your happiness is one of his top priorities and he will bite someone literally if he has to just for that. this is how bad it is. but all in all, all of this is a way for him to keep an eye for you and be ready to assist you in anything—you need to take something? you need him to carry something? you want to buy something? just leave it to him, it will make him happy too. if you get overwhelmed? tell him, this guy is actually really quick to adjust things the moment he gets it. and for you? he will somehow do it even faster.

with all that being said though, this guy could get confusing at times. when he gets into a particularly negative thought, his first response would be to bark out his emotions and afterward distance himself. clearly, communication with him is hard. but despite all the silent treatment you get, he still wants to have you close—while being the one who keeps his distance from you. dealing with rin when he is being like this truly requires maturity and delicacy that probably rivals an esper skills.

A/n: I didn't know what to title this but I wanted to write more for the muppet man and I haven't gotten anymore requests for him so I just made some silly hc's let me know if you guys want more, because I'm kinda obsessed this series right now

Pairing: Wally Darling and Gn Reader (Romantic, fluff)

First things first, Wally is absolutely obsessed with you, in every possible way

Even before you had become apart of their happy little community, Wally had his sights set on you, you were just a bright warm person, you’d be a wonderful addition to their colorful neighborhood

But when do you actually become a part of the town? Oh boy, Wally is ecstatic though he doesn’t show it, he still shows his bright friendly demeanor he keeps his unhinged excitement on the inside for the most part

When you arrive don’t expect to get to talk anyone else as much as you talk to Wally he’s pretty much your own personal tour guide

Which you are grateful for, but you couldn't help but feel a little bit isolated with only Wally to talk to, of course if you express this concern Wally would apologize for overstepping any boundaries he might have crossed with you, which made you feel a tad bit guilty, but Wally seemed fine enough so you supposed it was okay

Even with Wally letting you interact with others in the town and explore on your own you still felt yourself talking with Wally the most out of everyone, you felt he also had a soft spot for you, or least that's what it seemed like, but you could just be overthinking

However over time you felt like you and Wally had grown awfully close, even closer than he and Barnabey were and that was saying something

Wally would never be the one to confess to you, I don't know I just see him being too incredibly smug for that, he’d act like he had no idea you felt this way and that he adores you a totally normal amount as well!

Though he’s definitely been hooked on you from day one

No matter how you confess he’ll accept your feelings, I mean obviously

When you're with Wally it seems like he's even more clingy than before, anywhere you want to go? Wally's right there with you!

Loves to show you affection through gifts and touch, especially touch, he’s practically attached at your hip at all times

Loves to kiss you on the nose, but if you do it back? He’s over the moon!

Smothers you in affection, won't stop cooing about how cute you are

"what.." you muttered in disbelief at the casting for your school's play, "the beauty and the beast."

you got the female lead, belle.

"how is this even possible?!" you mentally screeched. at most, you expected to be a simple background character! like, y'know, one of the girls that fawn over gaston? even tree number four would've been alright!

"ah.. i really can't anymore." you grumble, massaging your temples with close eyes. "what are you talking about, y/n?" yaku morisuke, your kind and caring upperclassmen, asked.

"o- oh, yaku!" you stutter, not expecting to be checked up on. "i got the female lead when i was aiming for an insignificant character." you explained, followed by an irritated sigh. "..how am i supposed to balance my studies now?"

yaku gives you a reassuring pat on the head, despite you being around the same height or so. "i'm sure everything will work out alright! if ever you're having trouble, just come to me, and i'll help."

your eyes sparkled tearily, hands clasped in complete and utter gratitude at the boy's offer. "thank you, yaku!"

yaku's heart skipped a beat at your adorable expression. he flashed you a charming smile. "don't mention it!"

time skip.

this is the first rehearsal nekoma will have in costumes. it's just so that the costume crew can know whether or not there's an issue while wearing said costumes on stage.

you were all pampered up in belle's famous yellow dress. your hair was styled (still, by special request, kept short), there was a light touch of makeup on your face, and the dress itself was unexpectedly comfortable to wear. now you don't want to say this out loud, but you actually looked.. quite ethereal right now.

"the costume and makeup crew really outdid themselves.." you twirled in front of the mirror.

once you exited the dressing room, all of your schoolmates' eyes were on you.

"uwaaah! y/n looks so pretty!"

"that's y/n?!"

"y/n, please be our manager—!"

yamamoto was harshly pulled away by the ear (thanks to kuroo) before he could completely recruit you.

you were feeling uneasy from the amount of attention on you, so you shuffled over to yaku, who looked at you in complete adoration. "yaku, help, they're all staring at me." you mumbled just loud enough for the libero to hear.

yaku sighed before stating a firm, "you're all scaring her, y'know!" everyone then went off to mind their own business.

"thank you." you said. yaku shook his head. "like i said, just come to me for help."

"oh! by the way," you brought two scripts into view, "i've been busy clearing out all of my homework, so i only got to memorize a few lines. do you mind helping?"

"no, not at all." yaku smiled at you, accepting your request.

oh, poor yaku. if only he knew how red his face would get at your words, would he have turned you down sooner.

time skip.

"it's true that he's no prince charming, but there's something in him that i simply didn't see.." you read from the sheet of paper, all the while acting out a face of endearment. yaku had to pause for a moment, just to admire you.

"..yaku?" you called out, bringing the boy out of his thoughts. "right—! sorry." he bashfully apologized.

"y'know yaku, your face is really red right now." you giggled. "wait, really?" he asked, confused. sure, he was feeling warm, but he thought it was just the temperature!

you nod at his confusion, caressing one of his rosy cheeks. "aw, you're blushing like a rose."

that got yaku even more flustered!

Shigaraki Dating Headcanons (Paranormal Liberation Front Era) (LOV Reader)

READMORE FOR CURRENT SEASON SPOILERS!

The biggest change in him is confidence, the way he carries himself. As he's grown and developed with the last year of experiences under his belt, Shigaraki has finally grown into his own person out from under his teacher's shadow. He's still a bit of a clingy guy, I don't think that's ever going to change, and he's still going to glare at the occasional person who gets TOO close, but he's growing up and learning to deal with his jealousy his own way. Dabi now teases him that he's "all grown up" with his feelings. He tells him to shut up and go away. The more things change, the more things stay the same.

He makes sure the rest of the PLF knows what's up and to treat you with the same amount of respect he gets. You have pretty much free reign to do whatever you want and handle your own responsibilities while he's getting juiced up in Dr. Garaki's underground lab. He doesn't want you there at first, but honestly, hearing your voice every now and then and being able to hold your hand makes it easier.

You two share a room for convenience sake. Now that he's got a handle on his quirk, his memories, he doesn't think he needs to be separated from you any more than necessary. He knows now, more than ever before, that he couldn't and wouldn't ever hurt the person who has been there for him all this time.

It's after he regains his memories that he realizes exactly what drew him to you, and continues to draw him to you. "Don't reject me anymore." He had been rejected and ignored for all of his childhood for, his feelings pushed aside. You've never rejected him in that way-- even if his feelings for you weren't reciprocated at first, you never looked at him the way that the people in his memories did and offer that kind of hypocritical kindness.

He wants to destroy everything-- that's still true. He's hurt, he's angry, and he hates-- but it's different with you and his comrades. He wants the League to be the seed that his new society grows from, you especially. He wants to give you everything you want, no questions asked.

Since he has his image as the leader to think about, he can't snuggle up to you as much as he'd like-- he doesn't have the same kind of shamelessness that Dabi has. When meetings are over and everyone else files out, this is usually when he asks you to stay for a little longer so he can get his fill of holding you close. He really doesn't kiss you anywhere that someone can walk in on since being interrupted is one of his biggest pet peeves.

He first tells you the words "I love you" (to be perfectly clear, it's actually "I think I love you.") during the nonstop chase with Gigantomachia. You were right there by his side, covered in dirt, sweat and blood, but still tried to comfort him as best as you could. Offering your shoulder or lap as a pillow, trying to take an extra watch so he could (attempt) to sleep just a bit more. While he was out of it for a good chunk of that time period, that was crystal clear in his memory.

Note: If you're not among the baddest bitches in the League and can't handle yourself in a fight of this magnitude, you're spending a lot of time in Mr. Compress' marble. Sorry. It doesn't make it much easier and you DO need to leave it every so often, but Shigaraki would rather play it safe than risk you dying. He'd rather have your permission, but he'll settle for asking for forgiveness afterwards.

"I'm not THAT tired, really!" You protest as he gives you a long, hard look, clearly looking over your current state. "Compress. Marble." "NO!!" He sighs as he takes off his glove to do what he's been asked. "...Please leave me out of your lover's disputes after this."

It's probably BECAUSE he was a little out of it and going through it like few had before that he was able to say it so clearly, with so little hesitation. He says it during the downtime between Machia's activation cycles, resting on your shoulder, and then immediately goes unconscious before you can say anything back. A simple and pure expression of his feelings. The rest of the League would have been touched if they all hadn't been on their last legs too.

Shigaraki likes to nuzzle up against the palm of your hands when you can have a soft, quiet moment. It doesn't matter if your hands are warm or soft, callused or cold, all that matters is that they're yours. He could identify you just by this in a room full of a thousand people. You ground him, even when he risks losing himself to AFO's voice in his head.

You're one of the few things he'll argue with AFO about. At first, the old bastard was fine with you around because Shigaraki needed allies, experiences, and the 'reward' of you being around is a good control tactic in AFO's eyes, but he also didn't count on Shigaraki truly falling in love with you once he was in jail. If AFO had his way, it would have started and stopped at a puppy love he could have stamped out, but it's a little too late now. Watch your back as best you can, since anything that compromises his control over Shigaraki is considered a threat.

Ok so, I have only ever watched one episode of Adventure Time, and it was on a hotel room TV, in terrible hindi dub, and I barely remember it on account of being 10(?) but it horrified me.

I remember the MCs trying to get Ice King a girlfriend or something, but he keeps being a gross asshole so they take him to a lake and point at some swans to try and explain love to him. They point to two swans kissing like ':D' and he's like 'ewww' and then the male swan suCKS IN AND EATS THE FEMALE and IK's like ':)))' while the boys stare in horror.

IDR how the episode ended or how much I watched, but I remember thinking 'wow american cartoons are hardcore. I'm sticking to pirated pokemon from now on.'

And you are telling me that show had lesbians in it leter????

oh my god im so sorry but imagining you watching that swan scene as a 10 year old is so fucking funny, i can understand why you stuck with pirated pokemon LOL

adventure time is absolutely very fucked up in a lot of different ways. the early seasons leaned into that type of absurd shit you just described a lot more especially. while the later ones actually started getting more existential and building on the worlds lore.

there wasnt exactly a focused plot, per say. i mean, there was, but it wasnt something methodical and planned out, it was played by ear. and i think it really worked. the way they did it turned out a really cool magic system (based on the idea that reality is just collective perception, and magic users are aware of this and can manipulate perception ergo reality. but the more cosmic knowledge you have the more insane or depressed you become etc especially if youre mortal), and also cool world building (it takes place in a post apocalypse after a nuclear war, now far into the future the face of the earth has completely changed but the horrors unleashed still impact it today), and also a lot of really amazing themes (the world is always changing and nothing is ever permanent, but no matter how things change things also stay the same, in a different way. especially where bonds and love are concerned. everything stays.)

and YEAH there are lesbians (i mean i always hc marcy as bi but still). and they also come from the shows improvisational nature. theres a lot of genuinely really amazing relationships and plotpoints born out of that to me. like, as the show starts to get a lot more thematically dense later on it can seem like a weird shift. some ppl say it got pretentious over time bc its not as goofy (its still pretty goofy lol), but i think it worked... like... perfectly.

because its a coming of age story where the main character actually ages, it actually feels so right that the world around him begins to seem different too. it makes sense that when he was 12 we were doing stupid goofy adventures, when he was 15 we were watching him deal with a lot of really fucked up trauma, and when he was 17 we watched him learn to grow as a person who thinks beyond simple terms of good and evil.

i know im tottaaallly rambling at this point but theres really an insane amount to talk about with adventure time. the timeline alone is ridiculous. but mostly i think my passion comes down to the fact that i was also growing up with the story, always around the same age as the mc going through similar stuff... even now, the story is focusing on a depressed 20-something trying to find whimsy in her life again. and technically the last episode timeline-wise is about accepting death lol

so like idk how exactly id recommend it to a new viewer, its really possible that a lot of ppl wont be able to really tolerate the early seasons as adults (i mean, i think theyre charming, but i have nostalgia goggles lol). that being said i think that its a series totally worth a shot for everyone... eventually. if it sounds interesting you just gotta accept the goofiness at first and trust that youre in for something wild in a totally different way later on. and totally unique and cool and special in a way nothing else has really been able to capture for me since.

TL;DR: no yeah the show was incredibly fucked up and that swan did eat that other swan. but it does have themes and also lesbians.

Ooooo! I never heard of them together, and also I have basically no Trey or Vil cards, so I haven't seen their vignettes either. But I dig a girldboss/malewife relationship, I gotcha covered, anon!

Vil Schoenheit X Trey Clover - Hidden Quirks

Meanwhile, while dating, Vil and Trey felt so comfortable in their relationship that they didn't really have any curiosity about what could be hidden.

They were getting used to this relationship, and as two of the most level-headed people around them, they wanted to make the other feel comfortable with sharing when he wanted!

... But it was taking a while, and curiosity did peak, after all.

The first to prod was Vil, asking about Trey's family. Trey seemed happy to share about them, and how as the oldest sibling, he took care of his younger sibs a lot.

It did reach a weird point about how Trey knew a LOT about brushing teeth, but Vil could only chuckle, imagining a little Trey brushing his baby sibling's teeth.

As soon as that convo happened, we had an interesting one coming from Trey. Asking when Vil started to be all sappy for him.

Both knew when they fell, but not how the other fell, really.

It was certainly an interesting way to see Vil lose a bit of his pristine composure, as he explained the Housewardens and Vice-Housewardens unbirthday party Riddle threw after the Interspelldom competition.

And especially how Trey seemed so handsome while he served everyone's tea and complimented their dorm uniforms.

It was only during the time Vil judged for the Culinary Crucible he found out that those delicious treats were made by Trey himself, and not bought from somewhere.

At the mention of his baking, Trey got even a tad bit bashful at the many compliments, even though he didn't enjoy being called out for how many calories they held.

This questionnaire turned into a sleepover in Vil's room on Pomefiore, where Trey and Vil shared not only their experiences in life but what they wanted to achieve.

Trey was almost embarrassed to say that he only really wanted to continue the lineage of bakers in his hometown. Baking and Pastissery are his passions, and even though he likes the idea of being a powerful mage, he is just a guy who wants to keep a warm house smelling of fresh bread.

While that, Vil stated how he wanted to be finally a good guy in a show or movie. And show that besides this pretty face, he can and is a great guy. To see children look him in the eyes and not feel scared he will curse them, but feel happy that he will protect them. It is what would make him happy and show he succeeded.

That sleepover, where they shared their good and bad, their loves and hates. That was when both made a promise that they would help and cherish the other, till he reached his goal.

Vil even said that if they were lucky, he could come home after a rough day of memorizing lines and re-acting a scene, to find a comfortable home smelling of delicious pastries, handmade by the best baker in town.

Isn't love so cute? Some could say their love is tooth-rotting because of how sweet it is. (Rook. Rook said that. Many times actually)

Hope you enjoy it! It was fun writing for them since I'm still learning a lot about Vil. I guess Schoenheit is growing on me lol

parker's personal much ado primer

i'm gonna keep posting much ado shit so here is some background on my personal favorite interpretation of the characters; this is not a primer on the actual play and these opinions somewhat differ from my like. canonical readings of these characters. this is what my personal action figures are like when i'm talking about aus. i'm mostly leaving physical descriptions out bc they can vary quite a bit.

when i say "we" i mean me and my wonderful spouse @zaxal because so much of this we sort of developed together over the years and none of these characters would be quite who they are to me without them.

Beatrice: beatrice is a trans woman to me!! i talked about this a bunch here. she will also always have red hair to me (thanks catherine tate for that one). she's hot, she's confident, she doesn't give a fuck what anyone thinks about her, she has relatively good judgement, she sometimes struggles to be vulnerable or soft with other people, she loves hero more than anything. she's also arrogant as hell! and often quite angry. beatrice is all fire all the time, she is alive and loud and proud and really likes having the last word. you will always know when she is in the room.

Benedick: oh this man is such a slut. grade a whore. pansexual as shit too. always cracking jokes to cover his own insecurities, desperately needs to be liked or if not that at least the center of attention--even if people don't like him, if they're thinking about him and watching him, that's good enough. he loves being witty and he is prideful and acts somewhat detached when in reality he feels things the Most and gets desperately attached to people and doesn't truly believe they could love him back.

Pedro: strong sense of duty. pedro is one that tends to vary more wildly because we've fallen into "suffocated by responsibility and shitty father, actually kinda shy and dumb and kind" which i love but in the play he is mostly just kinda shitty but i don't WANT him to be, so sometimes we try to lean more into the shitty side of him but often he is an earnest idiot (affectionate)

John: as mentioned in my beatrice post, i hc him as a trans man! sometimes more genderfluid or nonbinary. he's quiet, serious, and calm, and has been done fucking dirty by his dad/the world. generally our thought is that he was raised by his mom until about age 12 when she died and he got dumped on the palace steps and the king extremely resented taking him in and everyone was shitty to him because he's illegitimate. everyone thinks he's a villain and he knows he'll never convince them otherwise so he doesn't try; he just keeps to himself and doesn't form many attachments.

Hero: usually soft spoken but whip smart, doesn't like a lot of attention, stem major, big lesbian facing comphet vibes. she and beatrice are basically sisters. she's insightful but she doesn't share those insights with most people, and is by far the one who calls beatrice on her shit the most. we've ended up friendshipping hero and john because they're both such flat characters who exist at the whims of others and i love the idea of two wallflowers finding each other.

Claudio: obviously the villain. there are lots of different approaches to this--he might be an entitled golden boy, or a rich kid not used to hearing no, or an incel--but essentially he's a bully. i think its most interesting when he appears very nice at first and then when there's any amount of pushback things get ugly but i hate him so much i often make him pretty rancid from the start.

Margaret: outgoing and fairly relaxed, a jock, bi, in love with hero.

Conrade: john's bf, utterly loyal, and by a twist of fate it has become a running joke that he has tumblr disease (purple eyes/white hair). we usually depict him as similar to john--stolid, serious, not interested in taking anyone's shit, but lately i've been wondering if maybe he should be the bright sunshine in contrast to john.

Borachio: essentially a stray dog john and conrade adopted. he comes and goes. he's a mess.

Antonio: beatrice's surrogate parent, and elder queer genderfuck who uses ve/vir pronouns. general chaos agent.

Tbh, I only pictured them in Bad Toman because is the only timeline when they could really interact, at least in the bad futures.

Buuuuut.... Final timeline!

Okay, here me out, in this timeline the dynamic will be totally different (healthier mostly xD)

Takemichi and Takuya were childhood friends and now Michi is friend with Mikey and probably Baji and Haruchiyo too, right? (clearly Haru was more difficult to open up with Takemichi bc he was so jealous xD)

So it will make sense that Takuya met the other 3 when they were all kids, Takemichi doing a "catch them all" with his friends/people he wants to save? Of course he will!

And what we know about lil Haru? That he was sweet and even kinda shy comparing to the others (ignoring the slashing Takeomi's face for a moment bc that was probably a extreme situation). Also weird and already a Mikey believer.

Is not difficult to imagine that even if he disliked Takemichi, it was different with Takuya. Because like Haru, Takuya wasn't thay bold as Baji and Mikey, he was more calm. Takuya was probably the one that noticed more when Haru felt like an outsider or didn't know how to fit in, bc Takuya felt the same way even more often.

It didn't took them a long time to start being friends and hanging out with each other. Don't take me wrong, Haru was still Mikey's fan, but it felt good to have a friend that saw him, that didn't expected him to be braver, happier. That never judged him for wanting to curl up and cry when things went wrong.

Without realizing, the others started to see this two as best friends 🤭

So yeah, they became teens and Haru started being more loud, more openly weird. He never did masking (metaphorically and literally) in this timeline! So... Weird loud Haruchiyo being kicked out of Toman meetings, hell yeah! He was wild and with no reasons to hide it or no one to "tame" him.

But with Takuya? Takuya balanced him somehow, his presence was soothing and calming, so Haru always felt comfortable. Ofc he was still weird, but he never felt the need to prove anything.

In the other hand, Takuya was still a people pleaser, ofc. But this time Haruchiyo got angry when people tried to take advantatge of that (yeah, he got angry at Takuya for allowing it sometimes too xD). Maybe that even helped Takuya to start standing for himself a little bit with a lot of time.

I'm having a mental image of Takuya actually standing up in a kamikaze way for deffending Haruchiyo of some idiots that were trying to annoy Takuya. Something on the lines of Takuya ignoring it when they were picking on him but snapping when they suddenly said something like "And where is the other faggot? The pink haired weirdo that always goes with you"

Because c'mon, no way this two going together all the time, being both so pretty and androginous didn't got homophobic comments more than once! Until everyone learned how dangerous it was to say this things infront of some one who had a katana, at least xD

Takuya learning how to stand up for himself a little bit more thanks to Haruchiyo. Haruchiyo learning how to not be so unhinged with his reactions and that slashing people wasn't justified in most cases thanks to Takuya 🥹

But also, Takuya knew Haruchiyo wasn't asking him to be some one else, that Haru enjoyed his company even if he wasn't a fighter or a confident person (Takuya comparing himself with the rest of Toman, poor baby 🥲). He knew Haruchiyo accepted him for who he was, that he was just worried about people treating him badly.

Obviously, as teens this wasn't that easy and Takuya got really insecure, specially when Toman was founded. Haruchiyo wasn't that shy anymore and he had friends that were also wild and trouble-makers, why would he want to still hang out with Takuya? What if when Haru got mad because he didn't defended himself it was actually that he was disappointed with Takuya for being so weak?

Teenage insecurities and misscomunication happening, yeeeey!

At some point they had a big fight about it with mostly Haru yelling and being a lil shit bc once more Takuya allowed some idiots to bully him. But surprise, Takuya end up yelling too, something in the lines of "I know I'm weak and boring comparing to the others, I know that! Is who I am, but you don't had to keep putting with me anymore, okay?" What made Haruchiyo snap of his rage and realize that Takuya understood it wrong. That Takuya was feeling what Haru always felt going with Mikey and Baji.

And they make peaces. And probably make out too 👀

Not sure when their friendship became something more, I would have to think about that, but the point is...

Childhood sweeathearts HaruTaku! 💜

That's all I got for now, but I'm loving this idea of them being more healthy and actually good for each other. Wholesome friends to lovers, yey! So I will probably keep thinking about them, who knows if another drabble would happen someday! 👀

In times of be going against my personal promise to not change my profile appearance to make it Macaque- I'm thinking about sitcom! Mac once more.

I just think he's neat 🥰 but here's some on the spot things about him:

Is very protective of Bai He

Also shows an immense amount of favoritism towards her, she can do no wrong in his eyes :)

He calls her strawberry, originally I was thinking blueberry but I think after LBD they would stay away from blue associate things

Is known to spoil his love ones, not as much as swk and in different ways but still

Is very competent at knowing when people are stressed when, especially when the person is hiding it(*cough* *cough* wukong and mk *cough*)

He'll treat them out or make them do something to relax them

In cases of the person overworking themselves, he'll get them to take a nap and organize their work space so it isn't as chaotic but things are still easy to find

Then when they still look tired but still frustrated with what they were doing, maq will have them talk through it and what they're struggling and give tips and after they usually are ready to jump back into the task

I've seen a few other people hc maq to stress bake and I think that's really fitting for him! So that's in my au too

I think he would be a pretty decent cook too, at least more than swk

He hates getting wet/soaked, the sensation of clothes filled with water is just atrocious to him

Is the kind of bitch to go to a pool just to sit on a lawn chair under an umbrella with a big sun hat and glasses

Wears bright red eye liner

Was nicknamed "Six-Earred Macaque" because of his sensitive hearing always causing him to hear better than most, even sometimes things he shouldn't;)

The nickname came from his childhood bullies but he started owning it as he got older; partially thanks to wukong but also because the usefulness it gave him when Mac made eavesdropping his job

Has the most diverse music taste out of the entire group because ofc

He owns a motorcycle like Mei and he goes to her for repairs

Is one of the few people that have permission to use the kitchen, as long as he doesn't move the place of his knives or spices and cleans up after he's done

Becomes instant besties with PIF when he becomes apart of the pta

Is very competitive and petty during bake sales

Got really pissed when a parent had complained to him about Bai He wearing "boy clothes" to school

He had swk, dbk wear dresses with him while pif wore a suit to the next pta after that

The ultimate party thrower even though he isn't the biggest fan of them

Helped plan Mk 's birthday when he first began staying with him and swk

Threw Bai He the biggest party she'd ever had the first year of her living with him

He had planned most of it a few months in advance, though the actual party's theme was decided closer to the day just incase he wasn't running around last minute because Bai He wanted something different instead (she wouldn't of but still

It was based off her favorite movie at the time: Coraline.

It was a costume party and everyone dressed up as characters from the film and ended with a sleepover where they watched the movie

Mac as the mom, Bai He as coraline, mk as normal wilby, Tang and pigsy were the two old ladies, sandy was Mr. B, pif and dbk were the other parents, swk was the dad, and red son and Mei were the two of coraline's friends.

Most of the party activities were based off of scenes in the movies: finding the kids eyes, the performances and the ending

Safe to say Mac went all out

Is that Instagram person that takes pictures of their food, not to post though just to document incase he wants to order the same thing and can't think of the name

I LOVE ALL THOSE POINTS I also never really knew about the terror area that's so cool wtf!!

Anyway I definitely agree with like everything I find it really silly about how moon, despite how soft-spoken she appears to be-, talks so bad about the ancients while five pebbles being the one on the meaner/blunt side speaks so highly of them I LOVE that the iterators are their own people like they have their own opinions rather than just being machines..they really feel like they have that biological aspect to them :]

Most of my musings are based around fp (i miiight be a little biased) but I love the thought of exploring even more in depth with his relationship with the ancients ...like the way he interacts with artificer?? The way he considers her to be one of his citizens is so silly (I wonder does he find a source of comfort in that??)

Like... I wonder how did he feel about the ancients all ascending, he seemed to admire many of them and he must have felt some sort of emptiness at that (STARING at the posts of ancient talking to him like siri) like especially with the cities on top of the iterators too, like i wonder wonder wonder what daily life was like for the ancients

Aghghgh adding on even more I wonder does he ever feel rage towards the ancients, like surely he must feel some way abandoned, like yes ascension is such a big thing for them but still like how EASY it was for them to just get up and leave him behind

ALSO THAT ECHO THAT YU FIND NEAR MOON THAT MENTIONS THE RANDOM GODS it must've been so nasty to hear yur literal parents talking so badly about you. Like it wasn't the iterators fault they couldn't find a solution and it wasn't their fault they lost themselves to time but the ancients still seem to blame that stuff on them

As for cycles that IS really silly I think like it seems at first just like death but it goes so much further in such a weird way, I love games with vague ass lore but AUGH GODD

For having like everything based around those cycles there really is such little information on them........maybe nobody really figured it out? That's unlikely though considering how everyone talks about them

I've just started really playing the game so I have yet to get into every little thing but I really enjoy the broadcasts u find as spearmaster I love the like conversations I love how much further it pushes the previous thing of iterators being their own things but I'm sure they had so many limits put on them too

I adore Pebbles attitude towards Artificer actually. It’s incredibly funny. She posesses an ID of a citizen and it’s attached to her. So like.. what is he supposed to do??? Yeah. she is one ig..

He even at some point tells you that he has absolutely no power to kill or kick you out (probably an ingrained taboo!) because of her id! which is why you can hit him with spears and rocks all you want and get him to yell at you. (did that for 30 mins <3).

My personal hc for him is that he wanted to kill this weird cat so bad. Wasn’t allowed to. and now shes his emotional comfort beastie (awful garbage dweller)!! shes part of his city, tending to it even. A citizen if you ask me! (the overseers literally give her ads i lost my shit at that). Ancients seem to share similarities with us!! They have campfires and festivals! (info from moon) They get copius amounts of ads, they have neat little shopping lists!!!

I think Pebbles is a deeply lonely little man who got stuck being Moon 2 (he was built to house her people in the first place) even though she doesnt even like them. Grew to like them himself and got then abandoned. I think the idea he feels deeply betrayed and hurt by the ancients leaving him really shows in the conversation with Suns. He can hardly believe all he was ever made to do is be.. uh.. some useless little bug. He wants to escape.

I also really enjoy thinking he loved the attention and loved feeling important. Them leaving was confirmation that he was not actually. (then we decided we’re gonna be the next sos actually). He also believed he had to go through everything alone. Pebs constantly asks to be left alone up until riv campaign. him acknowledging that maybe he doesnt have to be, so he probably got to share his last functional cycles with moon has me in tears!!

As for the echo!!! I can understand the anger partly. I’m pretty sure the karma gates and building complexes on the ground imply that not all ancients were fortunate enough to live on the back of an iterator. (Shaded citadel people did not!) That echo iirc was a worker I assume. Imagine wasting your entire life building a god that never even fulfilled their purpouse. They just crumbled on the ground you built them on!! Not to mention you had to suffer the rain if u lived on the surface (jeez Moons rain siren sounds horrifying btw!!!)

Hopefully cycle lore gets cleared up in rw 2 (cope)

Also also the logs for spearmaster are incredibly interesting and show that iterators are in fact very diverse little discord people that like gossip <3 and that nsh is horrifying i think <3

((okay I guess I'm in a rambling mood today but also like

Nemesis was supporting Venat technically but like. not because she even thought it was the best thing to do

it was mainly just the only option anyone fucking had, given that Azem ran off and everyone else was gung-ho about the whole "human sacrifice loop" thing

and also, after Hyth/Apollo went and sacrificed himself she uh

went a bit around the twist out of sheer grief and rage about it because yeah they didn't like one another but that was still her little brother and their adoptive dad had already sent himself to his doom there too

like the only reason the Final Days didn't eat her alive like it did everyone else who felt strong emotions was because she had her blood magic and could just force her body to stay in-line instead of warping into a hellcritter

so anyone coming up to her with a plan about how to so thoroughly stick one in the Convocation's collective eye was gonna get her support no matter how good or how horrible it was

(coincidentally Dae herself falls somewhere in the middle, opinion-wise, on the morality of the whole thing with what Venat did turning herself into Hydaelyn: yes it actually pretty sucks because it caused a huge amount of suffering and a fair bit of the time, suffering doesn't make anyone stronger, it just hurts and that's it, but also like what the fuck ELSE was anyone supposed to do in that situation, the other option was so much goddamn worse and no one had any time to come up with a better third option! there were no winning moves there and you couldn't just not play either!)

and there's also the rather thorny matter of Lahabrea probably being one of the main architects of that whole thing and she genuinely thought he was a better man than that and that did not help that ragey bastard-ness of hers in the slightest

in fact I currently HC that he wasn't even one of the handful of Convocation members that wanted to off her! he wanted to actually go fucking talk to her and try to bring her around to it because he still thought she could be convinced, and he was rather pissed to learn that they had just gone behind everyone's backs and threw a bunch of magic rock-critters at Nemesis until she went and ripped open a hole to the Abyss right under her house after brawling with them for a while

but really her mind was already made up and even if he had tried to talk to her he'd have gotten literally nowhere

she was just gone at that point and there's a reason that the Abyss

y'know an interdimensional critter that loooooves feeding on emotion

was so enamored with her that it actually went and got her reincarnated

and it wasn't just because it wanted a window into the physical world to go sightseeing))

I talk about how much I love James's personality and storyline a lot, so I'll mix it up a little bit and say I really love that he's interested in astronomy. I love space and I think it's just a really neat tidbit for him. It feels fitting that he'd be interested in the study of something currently unreachable to him

8) What’s something the fandom does when it comes to this character that you despise?

Honestly I hate 90% of the people who talk about James, he's a widely misunderstood character in just about everyway possible. People make him worse than he actually was, they act like he never did anything wrong and got mischaracterized, and so on. And that's not even getting into the enormous amount of ableism towards him. People do not get a lot of the complexity around him, with him being a very layered character with a lot going on. But they only focus on the surface instead of why he's doing all that

Even talking about James with other fans of the show was something scary to me for a long time (and tbh still is a bit) bcs I know what people tend to think of his fans, and that was an association I wanted to avoid as much as possible. But it also then sucks bcs the people in the side of the fandom I prefer often are very biased against his fans, I've had people joke they were going to block me just bcs I said I was his fan in my twitter bio, and while I can't know for sure if it's true, it's also a thing where I'm pretty sure I've been blocked for real for liking him

So basically I think that no one but me and a few select people I'm friends with are allowed to talk about James bcs everyone else is wrong and only looking at him on the most surface level possible

12) What’s a headcanon you have for this character?

I could write essays worth of hcs for him and in fact did on twitter a bit ago, but one of them is that he's farsighted and he usually wears contacts. He does have a pair of glasses that he'll wear at home tho

Now he’s everyone’s sober buddy

Nerd who doesn't smoke lol

He makes weird ass potions instead

And because they’re weird ass potions, he always has a sober buddy (Levi) in case things go awry

Hangs out in Levi’s room and reads his manga collection or plays minecraft

I can’t really see him getting up to much

He’s just very mellow and sleepy

Cuddly too, but only with you

Asmo

He smokes a decent amount

Enough that he has super fancy roach clips lol

And you guessed it, he gets horny while high

He will fully raid the fridge while high and in the morning he’ll complain about how much his stomach hurts from eating so much

But when he does he’s eating edibles 100%

He usually eats them and then plays videogames with Levi and Belphie

this was supposed to be for kinoshita's day but. i got sidetracked LMAO. but here have some karasuno hcs!! (okay specifically the second years bc i love them). anyways. let's go!!

ennoshita is a conspiracy theorist

cryptids, ghosts, aliens, mysterious lights in the woods, whatever - if it requires unhealthy amounts of caffeine, red string, a corkboard, and pictures, then ennoshita is on the case

half of his film projects are "documentaries" and he drags like. pretty much everyone he possibly can into helping him

futakuchi is all "man i can't believe i fell in love with such a nerd" but joke's on him bc ennoshita has futakuchi on film screeching like hellfire from when a spider dropped down his shirt while they were investigating an abandoned building

narita is actually the most loved by the underclassmen bc he's approachable to every single one of them in the way they need and that makes him all the more respected

like. he'll talk books and music with tsukki and he'll indulge hinata and kageyama in endless volleyball schematics and he and yachi talk about their fave stationary brands and best notebooks and he and yamaguchi get into pokemon debates and baking tips and they appreciate him very much for it!!

(yamaguchi stress bakes. it doesn't go well most of the time. it's okay, he's getting there.)

surprisingly, it's kinoshita who gets into fights more than anyone else

since ennoshita has eyes on tanaka and noya all the time that leaves kinoshita free reign to be an absolute menace whenever he wants!! which is. surprisingly a lot LMAO

sometimes yachi will help him

look i just. i just think when they grow into their confidence, kinoshita and yachi would be the best duo in kicking ass and taking names

like if it's rivals they respect then it's just the normal "hey asshole prepare to go down!" (mostly by kinoshita bc yachi STILL doesn't curse) but if it's someone who's like. actually being a dick and is acting very punchable then kinoshita and yachi light up in a blaze of righteous fury

and when yachi finally DOES swear everyone immediately turns to kinoshita and blames him

(it doesn't help that she's standing right next to him when it happens)

kinoshita: i'm innocent!! i didn't do anything!! ennoshita: yesterday i watched you yell "FUCK" like 20 times in a row after you missed one of the stairs and almost fell down the entire second floor kinoshita: YACCHAN WASN'T EVEN THERE FOR THAT

yamaguchi goes to kinoshita for romance advice like "hey how did you get with nishinoya-san?" and kinoshita spits out his water and goes "WHAT"

anyways cue terrible wingmanning by the first-year five

no bc. with the third years they felt more unapproachable and distant and all that. but ennoshia and tanaka and narita and noya and kinoshita??? free game!!!

the first-year five love all of them you can't deny that!!! so ofc they want to get into wingman shenanigans to help them out!!

(not that their upperclassmen would admit it . . . but they helped a LOT)

oh my god I'm gonna do it. actually I don't think I have the power to but I'll try. I'm imagining this as like they've all been left in the Lucky 38 or something okay

Arcade: Definitely the most friendly off the bat, even if it is in an "I'm keeping you at arm's length" sort of way. Went up to him and sat on the couch and just shot the shit for 20 minutes and came away pleasantly surprised. Jessup's a little rough around the edges but nothing he's not used to dealing with at the Fort. Tries very hard not to imply Jessup is stupid the same way he does with a low int Courier, and he laughed at least one of Arcade's lame jokes so that's got to count for something. I think they could be friends if Jessup wasn't so quick to escalate things to violence.

Boone: Jessup beat the shit out of Boone the second he saw him and Boone just let it happen because he thinks that a Khan kinda deserves to rock his shit and he's not wrong. Arcade had to separate them and now they're not allowed in the same room together. Has no idea Jessup and Manny are old friends.

Cass: Hated him off the bat because Caravaneer v Raider. I can imagine her just making some snide comment about either Khans or drug users and Jessup hearing and immediately picking a fight. Idk she just seems very hostile if Jessup wasn't all in Khan gear she'd probably get along with him pretty well, esp my hc of him whos pretty sensitive about addictions and would empathise with her issues with alcohol and with the caravan grind (just in. absolutely the wrong way) but alas

Veronica: I think perhaps they'd be friends. Veronica's probably like the Only member of the Brotherhood who pays any amount of respect towards the Khans, and wants to talk about how they're as old as the BOS but survive through almost opposite ways of life. Jessup knows about the BOS from old stories but just kinda thinks they're weirdos. He awkwardly blurts out "you mean those guys who got junked by the Vipers?" when Veronica asks if he's heard of them but she thinks he's hilarious. They'd go on hikes and camping trips and shit together, gay/lesbian solidarity for when Veronica gets sick of Arcade's complaining or needs someone who actually knows how to navigate by the stars and didn't just "read about it one time"

Raul: His voicelines say he doesn’t think the Khans are too bad which is weird considering how he feels about raiders but I’ll take it. He remembers the Khans from their heyday years ago and thinks they’re a better bunch then most. Also thinks Jessup is as dumb as a bag of rocks epsically when he takes Raul seriously when he jokes about pulling his toolbox out from behind a rock. He’s just kinda fine with him. Even tho the game says otherwise I’d like to think the Khans combined respect of their elders and care for history that they’d be nice to ghouls. Jessup does ask him if their dicks fall off tho and Raul says yes just to mess with him.

Lily: Jessup stays as far away from Lily as humanly possible and thinks everyone else is insane for not knowing what Nightkin are. He sorta gets dragged over by Veronica to say hello and she Lily complements his hair and asks how he gets to to stay up like that and boom thats it they’re talking about hair for 3 hours. She finds House’s old hair products and gives them to him and he cries but pretends he didnt.

Rex: Weird hair = hat???? oh but he scratches really good behind the ears so hes fine actually he can live. Jessup grew up with big dogs hes fine
