after watching "angels in america" i'm obsessed with this painting by Alexander Louis Leloir, it's called "Jacob wrestling with the Angel"

A few days ago I was still obsessing with the painting and the biblical story for *reasons* when it finally hit me.

I mean come on, COME ON!

Why is Hannibal such a masterpiece, why, why, why??? its visuals send me places, they're so brutal and poetic sometimes i can't bear to watch them (ngl, the visual impact on me was so big that hannibal nbc played a little role in my decision to stop consuming meat).

and they managed to give us one of the best finales ever produced, it's insane, like the level of this show is SO high i'm just shocked.

Anyway.

Jacob and the Malak, the Angel. Wrestling all night. Touching thighs or hips or whatever. Jacob asking for blessing. REALLY BIBLE, REALLY? You're asking for it.
