gangs fave food and drinks 😃
Going with non-canon things here (because what’s the fun in spouting the canon stuff over and over again?)
Bruno Bucciarati
We already know Bruno can’t cook.
His tastebuds are… questionable at best.
Because he thinks he CAN cook.
He really enjoys anything with clams, however.
No one will ever let him handle clams.
All clam sellers?
Wow… they’re suddenly all out of clams for the day.
Bruno can never ever buy clams.
But this man loves them.
Especially with pasta and a white wine sauce.
Favorite drink is water, in all honesty.
Leone Abbacchio
Heavy meals.
A real meat and potatoes man.
Specifically red meat (beef) with a red wine.
Slow roasts are a delight.
But he does not have the mental fortitude to make this.
He eats raw potatoes, instead, to cope.
Bruno has offered to make him a roast.
He politely declines by saying he’s not hungry enough for it.
But if Bruno does make it, he stomachs through it.
Wine drinker confirmed.
Dry reds.
Pannacotta Fugo
A fan of greasy foods or light and fresh foods.
No in-between.
Fritta all the way.
Or a salad.
Fried vegetables are a personal favorite.
But if they’re fresh vegetables, he also will never complain.
Likes to go to the markets early to get fresh vegetables.
Also recruits Narancia in going shopping early in the morning for these vegetable shopping trips.
Tea and coffee drinker.
Likes darker blends.
Narancia Ghirga
Absolute veggie and fruit lover.
He is far from being a picky eater and will eat anything in front of him.
He’s also a soup fiend.
This man loves soup.
Will easily down five bowls of soup in one sitting.
He can stomach Bruno’s cooking but Mista always insists on cooking for him.
Big snacker, too.
Loves orange juice.
But also vibes with cola and apple juice.
Has a restriction on how much cola he’s allowed to drink (per Abbacchio’s rules to make sure he has a healthy enough diet because Narancia WILL suck down an entire carton of soda if he can).
Guido Mista
Seafood dishes.
Fresh tilapia with some parsley, garlic, and lemon.
It’s just a simple delight.
The side is steamed broccoli and linguini in some light olive oil.
Also the worlds pickiest eater.
Not in the sense that he won’t try things.
But if he’s in the mood for something specific, he will only want that specific thing.
Can make himself any dish he wants.
Beverage of choice is white wines, sprite, and occasionally a coke and rum.
Giorno Giovanna
Rice and curry.
It’s his go to because it’s easy and packed full of flavor.
Big root vegetable fan.
Used to only be against red meat but now he doesn’t eat any meat.
However, he does love blackened tofu.
He just wants food that’s packed with flavor and intense.
Also is blind to how bad Bruno’s food is.
He is a tea fan.
Herbal teas in specific.
Trish Una
French cuisine is a favorite.
But if Trish can’t have that, she settles for most pasta dishes.
A very picky eater.
She doesn’t want to eat things she considers to be gross.
Also the food has to be aesthetic.
She enjoys eating soup with Narancia.
Chicken is the only meat she will eat.
And it cannot be too dry.
Her favorite drink would have to be mineral water and fresh squeezed lemons with ice.

Callsign for Phoenix please
Thanks for the ask! Also, I headcanon Rooster as a loud drunk, hence all the exclamation marks when he speaks in this. I'd say this is when they're in basic flight training in Pensacola, Florida as they don't all have their callsigns yet.
-----
Natasha lay on the floor. She was at that point of the night where the room was spinning. Music was still pounding from somewhere but it sounded so far away. Her head was going to hurt tomorrow, she just knew it. Not that they had anything to do tomorrow, she was starting to love Sundays, especially with her not being religious, she didn’t have to get up before dawn for once.
Fuck this was too much thinking. She needed another drink.
As she sat up, the walls began to jump and repeat on her. Her feet didn’t seem to be walking yet she was moving. Maybe mixing her drinks wasn't the best idea. Then again, Hangman made the best cocktails, not that she'd ever tell him that.
“Nat!” Bradley, recently coined Rooster for his habit of waking up even earlier than they needed to, called to her. “Come here, we're doing shots!”
She wasn’t going to say no to shots. When she found out where his voice was coming from, though, she saw that the shots were on fire. Was that meant to happen?
“You ever done flaming sambuca shots, Nat?” Javy asked her, that sly smile on his face.
“Yes.” She lied. She couldn’t have her stern reputation be ruined because she was drunk.
“Oh really?” He said.
“Of course,” she crossed her arms.
He picked up one of the shots. “Do one then?”
“Why do I need to prove it to you?”
“Because you're too chicken?” He then looked at Rooster. “Sorry Bradley.”
“I'm no chicken.”
She took the shot as he handed it to her. One benefit of being drunk was that she wasn’t as scared as she probably should've been. So throwing back the shot was relatively easy.
After slamming the shot glass back on the table, she didn’t get the reaction she wanted. Actually, everyone looked horrified.
“What?” She said.
“You're on fire, you're on fucking fire!” Rooster ran to get a towel to try and smother the flames out.
She looked down as her left arm. “Oh. Shit.”
“Who's on fire?” Hangman re-entered the scene.
“Nat!” Coyote pulled on his arm, pointing at her as the flames flickered in his eyes.
“Here!” Rooster came back and began to rapidly smack the flames with the tea towel. She hoped whoever house this was didn’t care.
Once the flames were out, a small crowd had formed around them. Her sleeve was now suitably blackened from the fire, pieces were floating off they were so crisp.
“Shit, did you even care?” Coyote said. “You were on fire and you didn't even care!”
“I'm just that cool.”
“More like hot,” Hangman did his usual wink. “Like a phoenix or something.”
She went to roll her eyes when Rooster shook her non burnt arm. “Phoenix, that's a good callsign!”
“Phoenix, really?” She looked at the charred remains of her favourite jumper. “I'm going to reminded of tonight for the rest of my career?”
“That's what callsigns are for,” Hangman handed a glass of something that wasn't on fire to her. Raising a toast, the crowd joined in. “Here's to Phoenix!”
“Phoenix!” The crowd cried.
She took a sip of her drink. “Phoenix.” She whispered.

Amanda Rollins HC's
Tumblr media
Who reaches out to new neighbours?
It’s probably going to be Amanda. Not that she’s overly social, but she knows that she’s in an apartment with a medium sized dog and two kids, so her direct neighbours she always wants to meet so she knows who to hand off a bottle of wine or junk food gift basket kinda thing whenever they have a night that’s a little bit too loud and obnoxious. She’s also a cop, and protective of her girls so she’s gonna notice who lives in the building and who the regular guests are, especially on her floor.
Who remembers to buy healthy food?
Okay, hear me out, it’s going to be both of you, but that DOES NOT mean that Amanda is going to use or eat it before it goes rotten and you’re the one left cleaning out the fridge.
Who remembers to buy junk food?
Amanda. She’s the one that always makes sure to have the chicken nuggets, tater tots, mini corn dogs for the girls, and honestly, sometimes they’re for her too. They’re easy to cook, they don’t take a lot of time and she doesn’t have to put in a lot of effort to get a semi balance meal ready so she can keep working and keep the apartment clean.
Who fixes the oven when it’s broken?
Neither of you. You call Carisi and when he can’t figure it out, you call the super who gets things properly fixed.
Who waters the plants/feeds the pets?
Amanda. She’s had Frannie for a long time already so it’s part of her routine. She wakes up in the morning, makes a quick pit stop in the bathroom, maybe takes Frannie out so she can pee and then its breakfast for Frannie and coffee for Amanda before she starts on breakfast and wakes up the girls.
Who wakes up earlier?
Frannie or Billie lol. Jesse’s old enough she can get up on her own, grab an Uncrustable and turn the tv on by herself. But Frannie’s usually the first up, nudging at the two of you or pawing at the door (cause you cannot tell me Amanda does not let that dog sleep in her bed). So, between the two of you, it’s Amanda cause she has more duties to take care of, BUT if she’s taking Frannie out you’re definitely going to get up and make sure the girls have supervision and Billie has a snack too.
Who makes the bed?
Probably neither of you, I don’t think it’s something Amanda really cares about, esp on busy mornings she’s got enough going on. But if anyone does it’s whoever was the second person out of bed.
Who makes the coffee?
I like to think that it auto brews. Otherwise Amanda will turn on a pot to brew before she takes Frannie out so it’s nice and piping hot by the time she gets back and everyone else is up
Who burns the breakfast?
Amanda. We already know she’s terrible in the kitchen and very bare minimal to what she can make. She’s great with eggo’s, but the moment she tries to make waffles from scratch?! They’re completely blackened and you have to open the window to make sure the smoke alarm doesn’t go off.
How do they let each other know they’re leaving the house?
You usually know when Amanda is going out, when she’s leaving so it’s usually just her calling out through the apartment that she’s leaving and will see you later.
How do they greet each other when one of them gets home?
The two of you always search each other out for a quick kiss and greeting when one of you gets home. Amanda finds it particularly heartwarming when she comes home to you and the girls curled up on the couch watching a movie, dinner eaten, dishes in the sink. The entire thing makes her heart swell.
Who brings home little gifts like flowers/chocolates more often?
Flowers? You. Chocolates? Amanda, and secretly they’re actually for her, but she knows you like them and it gives her an excuse to indulge.
Who picks the movie on movie night?
The girls. They always get to make the first choice and get their faves in before bedtime. Your recommended movies and shows are always littered with family friendly and Disney stuff because it’s what they love and what you can all watch together. Otherwise you and Amanda swap back and fourth.
Their favourite kind of move to watch?
We all know Amanda is a sucker for trashy reality television, so she’s about the dramatics, but homegirl loves and adores a good rom com!!
Who first suggests a pillow fort?
Amanda, the girls, or a combination of both and before you know it the entire living room is a chaotic but controlled mess of pillows, blankets, cushions and laughter as the four of you build the most epic fort ever seen in manhattan
Who tries to distract the other during the movie?
Amanda. She doesn’t even realize she’s doing it but her hands are lingering, trailing across your body, lips meeting your bare skin at more frequent intervals before you’re riled up and letting out a huff, pouncing on her
Who falls asleep first
You know Amanda has trouble sleeping, so you always wait for her to fall asleep first unless you’re absolutely fucking exhausted and simply can’t. You like to hold her to you, let her nestle against your chest as her breathing regulates and she falls into a peaceful sleep
Who is the big spoon/little spoon?
Amanda’s usually the little spoon. She has some time accepting it, she takes a while to get used to giving someone else not the power…but you get what I’m trying to say, right? Lololol. My brain is broken rn. She loves feeling your arms and body wrapped around her, she feels impeccably safe, loved and adored and wouldn’t have it any other way.

On the upside, our meal planning for this upcomming week sounds heavenly.
Kielbasa and Potatoes with Green Beans
Lavender Lemongrass Jelly glazed Pork Chops with Rosemary Potatoes and Green Beans
Jamaican Jerk Pulled Chicken with Mango Salsa over Rice
Pulled Pork Burgers and French Fries
Zatarain's Blackened Chicken Alfredo with Garlic Bread
Stouffers Lasagna with Garlic Bread
It's all easy meals again (though not necessarily being prepared in the above order): 2 Sheet Pans, 2 Crock Pots, a Stove Toss, and an Oven Bake. A few components need to be made at the end as finishers, and they're a little more complex this time (the Mango Salsa, for instance), but it's all still pretty easy stuff altogether. And as a bonus, a lot of it's also either reusing stuff we're already buying for the week (Green Beans), or using up stuff I bought last week in a more interesting way (Kielbasa and Potatoes), or which I already had (Lavender Lemongrass Jelly).

Thursday Night Dungeon Dinner: Leap Day edition
Tonight I made a grain bowl with blackened chicken and ranch for dinner! I used a pre-mixed blackening spice on the chicken, but I think next time I want to mix my own! Blackening spice is mostly paprika, cayenne, garlic powder, and some herbs. A big message of the Dungeon Meshi episode was that eating food with complementary nutrients helps with absorption. For this dish, I tossed the grains with olive oil which helps absorb some of the vitamins in the ranch and vegetables. The grains are an incomplete protein, but the chicken is a complete protein. I know food groups are largely Bullshit but I gotta say, having grains, protein, vegetables, and dairy in one dish does feel really good to eat. It feels well rounded and delicious. This dish was really easy to make! I'll put the recipe under a readmore
Mixed grains/rice medley: Cook as you like and toss with olive oil and salt Tomato: diced cucumber: diced chicken: rub with blackening spice and cook in a pan with some olive oil. slice. cheese: shredded, of choice. this was monterey jack i think Blackened Ranch: ranch dressing, some more blackening spice (like a teaspoon?), sour cream
Blackening spice, like I said above, is probably a little different each recipe you find, so either buy pre-mixed or make your own from whichever recipe you think online is best!

Looks pretty crazy for a pizza... But trust me on this: Apricot jam, cream cheese, pizza cheese blend, red onions, red bell peppers, blackened chicken, cajun spices, and topped with fresh grated carrot, green onions, and cilantro! 🤯😍
When I lived in Alaska, I worked at a restaurant called the Bear Tooth Theater Pub. It is a shoot off of the Moose's Tooth Pizza, and their brewery is called Broken Tooth. They are an award-winning, internationally acclaimed pizzeria; everything they make is crazy good. I worked at their theater/venue location, so I would man the line for viewings and live events. One of our more interesting but nonetheless popular pizzas was the Amazing Apricot pizza. That is my husband's favorite on the menu.
So of course I make it from scratch at home from time to time for him. He also really likes thick, pillowy pizza crust, so I use Matty Matheson's Three Day Fermented Dough. It's a mad easy recipe; the hardest part is waiting lol. And I can't talk about a super delicious recipe without sharing it, so here's the dough:
Matty Matheson's Three Day Fermented Dough Recipe
(Makes one full sheet pan pizza, or two half pan pizzas)
Ingredients:
- 4 cups bread (or all purpose) flour
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1/3 cup olive oil (or preferred cooking oil)
- 1 3/4 cups warm water, about 100°F
- 8 grams dry active yeast (one packet)
In a standing mixer bowl, combine water and yeast. Allow yeast to rise and get foamy, 5-10 minutes.
In the meantime, combine the dry ingredients in a separate bowl.
Add the oil to the mixer bowl once the yeast is ready. Using the dough hook, mix the liquids on low, slowly adding the dry ingredients until completely incorporated. Turn the mixer to medium and knead the dough for 5-8 minutes, until a soft and smooth ball forms.
Place the dough in a well oiled bowl, and cover the bowl with a towel or plastic wrap. Let rise in a warm place until double in size, about an hour.
Once risen, punch the dough down and fold it over itself a few times. Place the dough seam side down in the oiled bowl, and cover securely with plastic wrap. Refrigerate the dough for 24 hours.
After 24 hours, punch the dough down again. Gently pull the dough out to a large rectangular shape, and place the dough on a parchment paper lined sheet pan. Cover the dough again with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for another 24 hours.
When you're ready to bake, remove the dough from the fridge. Gently press the dough to the edges and corners of the pan, and allow to rest for 20 minutes at room temperature.
Top with your preferred pizza toppings, and bake at 500°F for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. Let rest for a few minutes at room temperature before cutting and serving. Enjoy!

December 28 — Tested
Tumblr media
Current weight: 194.6
What I ate today:
Cold brew
Lunch — iced coffee, blackened chicken with sweet potato fries and chipotle mayo
Dinner — about 3 oz of salted macadamia nuts
I didn’t poop today so I don’t think my weight will go down tomorrow. Lol
Anyway, I was definitely tested by more than one person in my personal life today, and I’m happy to say that I allowed all urges and all emotions. This is actually easy when I commit to allowing everything that comes up. I feel invigorated and unapologetic.
Also, I guess I’m moving in a month! I don’t know where, because I just found out today, but I’m open to anything and everything that serves my highest good. I’m going to apply to a bunch of jobs all over the world. As much as I would looooove to stay here until May and stack my money, I trust that whatever is next for me is even more magnificent. I was just getting comfortable here, but I guess comfort is not my destiny.
Although I will say, I definitely would like to establish a home base and stop moving so often. I want somewhere cute where I can keep my stuff and know that it’s my sacred space and no one else’s.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I received this athletic apparel from Fanka for a gifted promotion yesterday and tried it on today. I recorded and will post a whole unboxing and workout video for it. I like it so far! Both the top and pants are from them. Honestly I think it’s super cute and verrrry soft and comfortable. I may have ordered one size too large for the pants but that’s ok.
What do you think of the fit? Yay or nay?
Also idk how to make my knees go forward less during goblet squats. Comments/tips are welcome.

{random nora + michael (ft. george + rosie) headcanons}
[part one] + [part two]
nora calls her english friends "hen" even if they're a few years older than her. like, esme, ada & gina but she wouldn't dare dream of doing it to her scottish friends who are older than her.
people in a past have assumed that nora was jack's wife when they moved to the us. what didn't help was michael and nora's son being called "jack" (named after john shelby) which resulted in nora wanting to call him ian instead. it didn't catch-on.
nora has a tattoo. it's a small rose at the bottom of her back. it was given to her by one of sabini's bartenders that eilidh swore fancied nora.
nora's got a few different nicknames:
michael calls her nonie the mcleod's call her nory esme calls her red john calls her trouble (alec is also partial to that)
nora calls michael ‘gray’ (she’d started it before they got married) and it seemed to just stick.
not having any cultural traditions really bothered nora now looking back on her wedding day and as someone who has a passion for colours, clothes and patterns she hated how bloody bland her wedding was.
“never liked these ‘hings.” nora idly gestured picking at the leftover chicken george didn’t want to eat. “didnae even like ma ain.”      esme softly winces at the memory of nora’s rather disastrous wedding day. a pregnant nippy eighteen-year-old, johnny dogs mediating and polly's vulture-like dotting on the scottish girl making sure her future daughter-in-law couldn’t do a runner, did not make for an easy morning of.      “at least am no up the spout at this one but gray’s naewhere to be seen as-fucking-usual.”      “hardly an ideal situation – mine wasn’t any better. john ended it sleeping in the allotment.”      “alec’s wis nice. hid the auld traditional shite ah felt lit ah needed tae hiv – faither ae the bride, ceilidh and haundfasting ‘though didnae shed a tear over nae blackening. jane fucking stunk fir days, apparently.”
gina removed the ruby from nora's lighter (nora assumed it fell out due to its age) and years later gave her it back in a necklace for her birthday.
nora didn't end up selling john's rings to move out of the pub. she just stashed them away for emergencies.
[this] is modern!nora's wedding dress, just a little bit of a more fluffy, whimsical skirt
when they move into a bigger house in glasgow the kids, rosie more-so struggle to sleep in their own beds, let alone their own room as they've been sharing a bed with nora for the past five-years.
when rosie was born, colin bought his granddaughter a copy of 'winnie-the-pooh' and the sequel every subsequent birthday they released.
when the kids were a little older they'd play pretend and preform small plays from their books for a highly amused drunk crowd of their parents. rosie's favourite is always peter pan, and the seven-year-old likes making it clear to her cousins that, "my mum did the play so i get to be tinkerbell and katie has to be mrs. darling because she's ginger, like mum." (it helped that she was the youngest and the easiest to lift, so nobody really objected to their little cousin bossing them around.) the boys were just happy to smack each-other with wooden swords in the 'pirate fights'.
i have literally nowhere else to put this so here's modern!nora and teen rosie after she gets in trouble at school. (george's gone to uni to do an english degree and michael's in the us so she's acting out a bit):
“oi, ah heard aff mrs morrison in the landin’ you gave that chantelle lassie a right thumpin’ oan yer lunch.” nora pulled her daughter off to the side by the wrist, “why?”      “wrong place, wrong time.”      “y’know i’d believe that pish fae yer uncle, yer faither and mebbe yer brother, but no you; no ma rosie.”      the teen scoffed, “that’s not very forward thinking of you mum, it’s the twenty-first century, lassie-“      “-rosie,” nora laughs, “don’t take this the wrang way hen, but you’re a lazy wee shite at the best ah times. you don’t dae nuthin’ fir nuthin’.”      “i’m a big girl now, puberty changes-”      “-wrap it hen, whit she say?”      “mum, its fine.”      “rosalin.”
polly and rosie are inherently alike and share a lot of similar traits but polly also has quite the soft-spot for george (although esme's convinced it's just unresolved projection).
nora still feels like george's protector in comparison to rosie. he won't take nonsense from the boys in school but he's pretty quiet compared to his peers and prefers his own company and she knows the type of trouble boys in the area get into, especially mcleods.

Blackened Chicken Alfredo
https://carlsbadcravings.com/blackened-chicken-alfredo/#wprm-recipe-container-44716
I did not use the from scratch Alfredo part of the recipe, I just added a jar of pre-made Alfredo sauce to the grease after cooking the chicken and mixed it in. Threw a handful of mushrooms in there. (I didn’t have fettuccine so I used egg noodles)
Eating the chicken on its own was a little dry but mixing it with the pasta was delicious.

🍽 What kind of food do they like? (For all!!)
Violetta loves homemade sweets, especially chocolate-based ones. Her favorite meals involve both the food and the atmosphere. She makes her food look pretty - after all, she believes that you eat with the eyes first. She wants to make meals special, whether it's with some candles or using the pretty dishes. Some meals she especially enjoys are spaghetti bolognese, dainty tea sandwiches (especially cucumber or egg salad), and salmon cream stew.
Juniper likes spicy food! She can't have it all the time, but she does carry some red pepper flakes and hot sauce in her bag just in case she feels that the food in the cafeteria needs a little kick. She likes eating grilled foods, especially chicken and corn on the cob. Her favorite dessert is mango pudding.
Paul is very much a pizza fan. He likes a lot of things that are greasy and cheesy. He's learning to eat healthier and try new things at NRC, but he'll still go for pizza if it's available. The kind in the cafeteria is probably a more dainty individual pizza, instead of the cheesy sausage-y kind he's used to. Now that he's working in Mostro Lounge, he's learning how to cook different things and may find some new favorites.
Savvy's favorite food is the cuisine from Port o'Bliss. Things like jambalaya, gumbo, beignets, and bread pudding. She likes rich food with lots of seasoning, which unfortunately isn't easy to come by at Pomefiore house dinners. She does like healthier things, especially tropical fruits like pineapple and coconut. And she will eat a salad. Just ... put some blackened shrimp or chicken on it first, maybe?
Somebody get Sparky a sandwich. A gyro, a cheese steak, a deli sub packed with different meats and veggies. He likes food he can eat while he's doing something else, which was the original point of the sandwich. (Those sandwiches may sound messy, but Sparky's a big guy with big hands.) He also loves dolma, but he's picky about it. If it isn't as good as his grandma's, it's trash.

🍴 One for Grillby maybe?
Send 🍴 to try some of my muse’s cooking
Rudy had a go at the grills himself. What better way to test if the recipe turned out well than to get the opinion from Snowdin’s famous chef and bartender, Grillby, himself?
The lid popped open from a festive Tupperware, revealing skewers piercing red and green bell peppers, onions, and... chunky white-ish cubes blackened around the edges?
Tumblr media
“Nope, that’s not chicken,” the reindeer chimed, answering the question not yet asked. “It’s paneer. Cottage cheese!” Since reindeer monsters notoriously are vegetarian, they had to be inventive with meat substitutes.
Tumblr media
“Here ya go.” Rudy offered a skewer to the flamesman. “Go easy on me. I’m no pro!”
