villain time villain time >:3
palpatine for [redacted bastard man], joker and dr drakken for elliot jackson, and shen for arthur?
YESSS villain time!!! >:3c hehehe thank u
PALPATINE: Does your antagonist live a double life?
[readacted bastard man] does live a double life, you could definitely say!!! He's one of the void-walkers, but as far as void-walkers go he's a pretty, for lack of a better term, complete one! This means they pass as a regular human very well, so unless you really know what you're looking for, you're not gonna pick up on them being a void-walker. Which is cool n' all because he loves committing atrocities and causing problems.
JOKER: Who are they behind the flair? Just Some Guy?
Oh absolutely Elliot is just a fuckin dude. Like this might be partly on me not taking him particularly seriously as a villain, but his whole thing is just that he's kinda in over his head, and I don't see him as particularly intimidating because I know how easily he could get his ass beat. The Rat King could bench press him if she really wanted to. She could drop kick him.
DR. DRAKKEN: Are they actually dangerous, or a Big Bad Wannabe?
I am so glad that you picked these two questions for Elliot. The answer for this is that I actually think he could be dangerous under the right circumstances, but he's definitely trying really hard to be intimidating and it isn't quite working out for him. Then again I don't take him seriously and see him as just kind of a nasty little man. Maybe I'll take him seriously later and let him be intimidating and dangerous.
Elliot is more dangerous because he's easy to underestimate and that's how he gets ya', maybe.
SHEN: Do they become a self-fulfilling prophecy, or break the cycle?
OH this is a very interesting one for Arthur actually. Okay, so I think I've definitely mentioned before how a lot of the conflict in Fragile Things is a result of circumstances that aren't really in Arthur and Noah's control. Not to say that neither of them ever fuck up or make bad choices, they definitely do, but...
Hm okay I don't know how well I'm conveying this but something I've been thinking about for a bit is this idea of Arthur spending so much of his life going against his parents' expectations for him in a bid to be happy and create a life as far from them as possible. And as part of his desperation to do that, he ends up making his life worse and worse and ultimately the unresolved shit from his parents is a large driving factor in his problems with Noah.
So I don't know if he's exactly a self-fulfilling prophecy exactly, but he doesn't really break any cycles his parents set him up in, though he tried to. At least, not over the course of Fragile Things. Bleeding Over Eden may be a different story!

Oh asexual Percy Jackson fic that lives in my head...oh Percy awkwardly explaining to his girlfriend that he doesn't really understand the hype around sex and isn't really interested in it and wondering if that makes him broken...oh Annabeth, whose comforting words of wisdom are "it sounds like you're describing asexuality. I was made asexualy "...oh ace percy fic that I dreamed up while eating a muffin and cracking from the stress of midterms

Hi, Dr. Bouncy. I was wondering completely out of the blue...
What do the insides of the Citadel character's fridges look like?
Good question 👀
Eli: Haphazard. A lot of grocery store ready-to-eat meals, Citadel cafeteria food, and free food from events.
Davy: Their meal preps in neatly stacked Tupperware containers and bottles of seltzer would take up most of the fridge space.
Jean: Jean would be the type of person that would have a lot of fresh vegetables in their fridge but also have sauce jars that have been sitting there for an undetermined amount of time.
Vic: Depends on when you catch them. If they're stressed, it'd be pretty barren. If they're not, it'd be well-stocked.
Dr. Grey: Just the essentials.
Dr. Sloan: The fridge of someone who cooks well and eats well.
