PROMPT CLAIMING - JANUARY 2024

Hello again everyone!

It’s time for the first round of prompt claiming! As this is the first time this has been done… please be as patient and kind with the process as possible. I’m new to this too!

Here are some ground rules to read through before going to claim your prompt:

Rules

As always, please be kind and respectful towards each other. This is all in good fun and to show our love for Taskmaster and anything Taskmaster-adjacent!

Reminder that prompt fills can be in ANY format: i.e. fanfiction, fanart, fanvids, podfic, etc! You do not have to specify which format your fill will be, but you can if you want.

To claim a prompt: on the Google Doc, next to the prompt you want, write your Name/Nickname in the third column and at least one form of social media to identify yourself.

Please DO NOT edit anything else on the doc besides inputting your personal info. Alex Horne may be a chaos gremlin, but that doesn’t mean you need to be!

Only claim one prompt this round (which lasts until Monday December 4th at 12:00 PM PST). TBD, based on level of interest, we may open up the doc for another round of prompt claiming!

I do apologize in advance if you do not get your first choice of prompt. Sometimes it just be like that. (However, I am not the Taskmaster fanwork police. If you decide to fulfill a prompt that’s already been “claimed” I’m not about to stop you! As we like to say around here, more cake is always welcome!)

Feel free to negotiate amongst yourselves for prompt swapping, as long as respect and basic human decency is maintained! Thank you!

Art Challenge Idea

Have you ever longed for more fanart to be made for obscure fandoms you run into?

What if once a week you pick something like that to make fanart of. It would have a name like "Unknown Sunday" or something. I feel like it could breathe some life into some dead / tiny fandoms.

(The fandoms don't have to be completely unknown. They can just be past it's glory days)

Here we go, the moment a lot of you have been waiting for... it's time to reveal all 53 prompts for the LAH Fic Club January 2024!!!

This view-only Google Doc lists every prompt we received from the prompt submission form. Starting this Monday, Nov. 27th, the doc will become editable and open for claims. Claiming prompts will be on a first come, first serve basis! (we may do a second round of claims, depending on interest level)

Take some time to review the list carefully, and I suggest having a first and second choice ready to go for Monday, in case your first choice gets claimed first. Please keep in mind that this list of prompts is NSFW and is intended only for ages 18+

(note: the list of prompts has been randomized to help negate any biases as well as to keep things as anonymous as possible)
