Don't you find it weird that the only reason you're pro-Israel and anti-Hamas is because of your religion, the one in which you worship a god who drowned the entire world because its angels fucked humans, and demands that people fear it, and also one that raped a teenage girl and then maxx-terminated their kid?

There is a fundamentalist movement leading the rollbacks in our rights that we've seen recently that believes there is only One Truth and that it is decreed by a God arrayed in the same robes of order, military medals and righteousness that they array themselves in, with flaming eyes and a conquering hand, and that Truth is a single light shining on their faces- for they are the chosen ones who see it, of course -and that it is their duty to shine it on everyone else, and blind us til we have no choice but to bow in submission. But what they can't see is that God is not a conqueror arrayed in flame and violence. God is a prism and the light they claim to see is scattered and reflected through Him in beautiful colors far more complex than they and we could ever fathom. The light falls in the rainforests, the marginalized communities, the streets- every corner of the Earth -and the faces of every single one of us in a thousand different ways that neither side could ever fully hope to capture. The beautiful world and spectrum of humanity that God created and called "very good" cannot be boxed in by suited leaders of men on legislative benches. God is not confined to dusty pages and marble halls where the elite few may walk. God and His creation is far vaster and more beautiful than they want to believe, because it would break every conception of Him that they've built in their minds. To them, radical love is madness, and they are the ordermakers appointed by God to stop it and keep it in line. But God's love has always BEEN madness to the people in power.

There was a man, long ago, who preached radical love to the leaders of his day and they too pronounced him insane, and that to save their followers from this insanity they must put him to death and anyone who preached love like him. They mocked him as they tortured him, and they mocked him even unto his last breath.

And that man was Jesus.

Just something to think about next time a political leader calls radical love a plague or a disease upon society and decrees themself as the God-ordained chosen one who is going to stop it. almost like that's happened before.

Hello hello,

I’m eager to share content with you all! So eager that the words to say constantly jump in and out of brain when I talk about it so I figured, maybe I should just write about it.

I love to type out things as I think them. Who else? You too? I figured. Especially when you have a point to get an across! I know those fingers get to flying and your breath starts to slow down or speed up and then once you’ve said what you had to say, you put the phone down and you take a deep breath because wow- that was a lot.

Are you the type to go back and edit your message or do you just send? Me? I go back and edit, delete, rephrase, and synonymize the heck out of what I just wrote.

I filter my own thoughts, feelings and intentions based on what the person might think or feel when they read this message. Now, in an argument, this is fair. You want to be respectful of the other person. But in life, you have to put the unfiltered version out there and see what comes of it. If it’s a lesson, learn it. If it’s a blessing, nurture it. You will never know unless you put your whole self out there. Your whole true self. Not the filtered ‘find a better word for me’ you. The unapologetic you. The “you” God created you to be. The “you” that doesn’t doubt yourself, that isn’t pessimistic, or is.. but the “you” that notices the doubt and notices when you are talking negatively about yourself or your circumstance and shines light upon it and says, “what are you doing here, you negative little thought? Get out of here, that is not ME.” I’m currently learning this through a book called “Do the New You” by Steven Furtick.

I urge you to read this book, listen to the sermons on Youtube at Elevation Church. More than anything, buy into the mindsets he discusses and make them yours. God is working through me, and he will work through you. Just talk to him, learn about him, believe in him and believe in yourself.
