#byler #stranger things #twelvegate #something something time fuckery #something something it seems like lonnie could be both el and will’s dad…#however I think this could be a misdirect…#bc something’s not right…#I feel like if we’re dealing with a time loop in some shape form #apparently Henry doesn’t want Will and el to know each other…#this is what I’ve been saying about byler evidence also low key being willel wondertwin evidence #we’ve always associated Will going missing in s1 and el disappearing in s2 #as Mike being able to handle their relationships separately and how that came to a head in s3 then s4 #and how they did that to show mike can’t juggle both of their relationships the way he’s attempting to (el romantic/Will platonic)#but I think it’s actually also interesting that Will and el are kept apart for so long…#and then finally when they’re together it’s like all of these memories are surfacing for el…#around March 22nd…#and the fact that what saved her back in 79 was the memory of her birth…#I just think that’s so interesting…#in combination with the repetition of 7/5 test subjects tattoos being the only ones focused on in every flashback #and all the twin imagery #it’s like they’re subconsciously remembering each other #maybe vecna realized the only way this could work is if they didn’t know each other #even to the point of ‘putting them against each other’…#reminds me of that shot of 11 & 12 at the basketball game #but I don’t think it’s going to work…#I think Will and el are too selfless and love each other too much to do what Henry and the audience expects #el is also going to realize that she has even stronger familial love for Will than she ever had romantic feelings for Mike #and you know what this also means??#remember the crazy together scene? ‘they wouldn’t understand..’ ‘eleven would’ 🤯 SHE WOULD!!

Leo's relationship with death

Leo really doesn't like to think about death.

I mean, we all saw how much impact Karai's death had on all of Mad Dogs but Leo was the only one that had to be dragged from her, yelling after her, he really, really didn't want to lose her.

And I think when he lost her it left a deep scar.

I saw posts talking how Leo wants for things to get back to normal and pretend nothing happened, which I completely agree with. I think it's in big part because of his fear of repeating losing a close one.

He REALLY doesn't want to even acknowledge death.

Here Raph seemed to be getting through to Leo-

-but the moment he mentions possibility of his family dying?

Nope, time to deflect, joke and feign ignorance.

Leo's aware that death is a big part of being a responsible hero and that's why he'd rather goof off with his brothers and not train.

Because obviously when you ignore something it just dissapears, right? So if they ignore severity of certain situations and possibility of dying it won't happen, right?

If they don't treat it seriously they'll be fine! Totally!

Then Raph shields Leo from the Krang and sends him away.

And it's as if Karai's death stared right in his eyes.

So Leo picks up the slack of leadership in order to save Raph. He behaves carelessly during this time but can you really blame him, he desperately wants to save his brother, to stop yet another family member from death that he is so scared of.

He still tries to be positive and nonchalant, that "pfff obvioulsy everything will turn out alright!" but at the end of the day, it's not that simple.

Casey's speech had hard time to really hit Leo, he's still avoiding confronting resposibility, literally and metaphorically turning away from it. But the moment Casey says Leo's whole family died?

Now that made an impact.

And every time his family is in terrible danger he looks absolutely terrified and basically every time Leo has to be dragged away to not just return and try to save them again.

And when there's nobody to drag him away?

First thing he does is sacrifice himself. Because I don't think Leo is scared of his own death, or at least he is not as scared of him dying as his family. He'd rather give away his life than live through another grief.

Obviously I'm not sayin that the rest of the fam isn't terrified of close ones dying. But while they seem less aware (Mikey) and/or more ready for the possibility (Raph)...

Leo's wholly aware but he'd rather not be and ignore his fears until he can't anymore.

thinking about Nico adjusting to letting himself miss and long for the people he loves. based on these bits from the sun and the star:

spn is such a funny show, it'll be like:

Naomi tells Cas he has to choose "us, or them" and 'them' is meant to imply Sam and Dean both, but then

she makes Cas kill fake copies of Dean only

Or Metatron will speechify about how Cas is "in love... with humanity"

and then give Cas another lil speech about how it was all "to save Dean Winchester. That was your goal, right? I mean, you draped yourself in the flag of Heaven, but ultimately it was about saving one human, right?"

Ishim shows up and tries to tell Cas how weak he is for befriending Sam and Dean

and then when he wants to "cure" Cas of his human weakness, that weakness is just Dean

AND THEN you'll have things like

Sam will say that Cas is family, that he'd die for him

but he also refers to Cas as an "it" just hanging around in a vessel strong enough to take on Lucifer (in season 11!! It's not like he said that in s4 or something, it was like 8 years after knowing the guy)

Or in "Regarding Dean," Dean will say to Sam "and our best friend's an angel!"

and then when he's by himself in the mirror, he'll say "and Cast--Cas is my best friend."

#just thinking about the various ways the show frames cas's relationship as being a sam-and-dean kinda thing #and then will later emphasize how actually it's dean in particular that motivates cas #supernatural #destiel #castiel #dean winchester #otp: profound bond #(this isn't sam hate btw it's more just #i don't know #it's so interesting how the show first goes the 'we' route meaning sam-dean-cas and then almost always #separately takes dean and cas aside and reiterates the theme of 'we' differently without sam #😩😩)

AU where Leo is trapped in the Prison Dimension for months instead of minutes and the only way he gets by with his sanity intact is through recording himself talking to his wrist comm.

When they finally manage to get Leo back and make him rest up to heal, Donnie can’t help but listen to the recordings left behind.

He’s not sure what exactly he’s expecting, only that his subconscious is screaming at him that it has to be heartbreaking, that it has to be torturous.

Instead, what Donnie is subject to is a full thousand hours’ worth of Jupiter Jim and Lou Jitsu crossover fanfiction. More than one part in the series. Spanning well over a million words.

(The worst part is that it’s actually good.)
