After fleeing from Monster's Basin to a new settlement by a river in a temperate forest, Buckeye and Magic Man's sapling child is safely planted. Now we can breathe easy as we build a new home for ourselves from the ground up.

First things first, our beloved T'au baby is now our beloved T'au adult! Happy birthday Pro!!

She has matured with the 'heavy sleeper' trait, which means she can now share a room with restless, nyctophobic Bella without issue. As soon as we can, we'll get Euclid to make some proper T'au fatigues and armour. I am going to enjoy drawing tall, lanky, air-caste T'au shenanigans.

The first two randomly generated names for the settlement were "Isk", which sounded too much like "Ick", and "Wessleton", which made me think of that annoying guy from Disney's 'Frozen'.

Fortunately, the third option was "Loyalty's Meander," which was very nice and thematic. After all, loyalty drove us to abandon Monster's Basin and come here, and the new settlement is set on a pretty meandering river—it's the perfect name!

Head Girl studying some kind of magical artifact at Hogwarts & chilling back home on the south-west coast of Ireland.

so the other day i was playing Animal Crossing wondering how i could best do a traditional Western Irish outfit for my OC and fell down a rabbit hole of historical fashion on youtube and ended up thinking "Wait i could just draw her instead of trying to clumsily recreate this in ACNH 🤔" SO I DID. (kudos to me for drawing instead of playing)(and kudos to fashion history nerds on youtube i love you 🙏🏻)

AND I'M SO HAPPY I DID. i'm in love with my drawing. i created her in like 2002 or something and it's the first time ever i'm happy with how her face turned out 🥹

drawn after Bouguereau's magnificent work. sketched on paper, corrected a bit + painted on computer.

as for her outfit, i took inspiration in several sources. i think i read/heard somewhere red skirts would traditionally be for married women, but it's such a pretty colour i put it on her shawl. also i did not go as far as to draw patterns on her clothes because it's waaay out of my league haha.

"Telling Jews that river to the sea doesn't mean what we think it does is like explaining what the N-word means to African Americans"— the amount of cringe here would kill a normal person dead. But no, if it isn't this it's BLM or George Floyd or MLK or or or while doxxing and expelling Black students for participating in protests and firing Black journalists and giving US cops training on how to kill Black people better. Fathomless levels of disgust.

Non-Black people in general need to leave Black suffering alone and focus on protecting the Black activists already at the forefront of pro-Palestinian protests. They're among the most vulnerable to violence by the white establishment right now.

vitalasy going WHO IS INFLUENCING YOU ? DID YOU TALK TO MAPICC? as his immediate reaction to the zam betrayal and you can hardly even hear him say this because his mic cuts out is top 10 craziest eclipse moments to me

#this in combination with subz telling zam that he's proud of him for being able to betray them because it means that they did help him #bizarre things going on here like 1) subz is coping so hard. he is saying that to make himself feel better #2) i would argue that subz overstates mapicc #as a responsible party for zam's behavior at times because it's easier that way & so much weight gets put on subz being zam's savior in bot #of their minds #and Also zam is never able to fully work through his mapicc baggage because despite everything he still wants to hang out with mapicc and #this will just always be true but he also knows that it's somehow wrong and weird of him to still want to hang out with mapicc after all of #that because everything subz and vitalasy signal to him about it is 'FUCK THAT GUY!!!!!!!!!!!'
