Din Djarin - Idk why but I could totally see you, Mando, and Grogu going as the tin man, Dorothy and either toto or the lion. Like Mando is obvi the tin man because we call him that anyways and how cute would you and grogu be as dorothy and toto or the lion.

Agent Whiskey - 100% without a doubt you would go as Jessie and Woody from Toy Story. Whiskey is as cowboy as it gets sooooo. Plus it would be so cute to see him all dressed like woody.

Marcus Pike - idk why but I feel like Marcus is really good at Halloween costumes but for some reason. I could see the two of you go as Orpheus and Eurydice. I really can't explain why but I know the two of you would KILL those costumes.

Marcus Moreno - I meannnn he's already a superhero so I think that You, Marcus, and Missy could be the Incredibles with Marcus being Mr. Incredible and you elastigirl with Missy being Violet .

Max Phillips - Max goes as a vampire every year because he says hes got a built in costume right here so why change what's working. So you kinda have to adjust around him. So how funny would it be if you show up to the office Halloween party as a vampire or monster slayer like Van Helsing or Buffy

Frankie Morales - I feel like Frankie would do the more cute couples costumes with you. So something from a Disney movie would be adorable. Like Rapunzel and Flynn or Cinderella and Prince Charming.

Max Lord - I feel like Max and Alistair really love Halloween and have good costumes so with you in the mix I could sooo see the three of you being whatever Alistair's obsession is that year. So a crew of Pirates or astronauts or cowboys. Its always fun and always matching.

Javier Pena - I don't think Pena really does Halloween so he does not go all out. He'll usually wear whatever you tell him to as long as its not too much effort and not embarrassing. Tbh I could see the two of you going as like Batman and Catwoman but he goes as Bruce Wayne or something.

Javi Gutierrez - Javi 100% will go all out with you every year. Whatever you want he's 100% down for. But I think the best costume for the two of you is Barbie and Ken. Tell me Javi doesn't radiate Kenergy. He would wear all the bright colors to match and it would be perfect.

Dieter Bravo - idk why but I feel like Dieter would be down to do famous movie couples like Jack and Rose or Han and Leia. Westley and Buttercup from Princess Bride, Sandy and Danny, Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy. All of them.

javier pena: he's always constantly worrying about you due to the nature of his job and the danger both of you are in every day because of it, so when you get sick his anxiety is absolutely sky high. He calls in sick to take care of you and won't take his eyes off you for even a moment unless hes fetching food or medicine. if you try to talk about how he's worried about you and how endearing you find it, he'll brush you off and say he's just annoyed that he has to take care of you, but there will be a slight heat to his cheeks (it's totally the Colombian heat he'd tell you). He'd mutter spanish curses under his breath the whole time, grumbling about how annoyed he was that he had to be stuck at home taking care of you, or how stupid you were to go and get sick.

He's not stupid so he'll reduce affection to light touches and holding hands, so he doesn't get sick either, no matter how much you beg for a kiss or to cuddle. if you're persistent enough however, he may get in the bed facing away from you so you can cuddle him. he'd get annoyed if you get all your 'sickness' over his shirt but he won't move until he knows for definate that you're asleep, before getting out and placing a soft kiss to your sweaty forehead. he doesn't mind taking care of you that much really.

joel miller: pre breakout- he’s dealt with Sarah being sick but beyond that he’s not all that experienced, but that doesn’t mean he won’t try his best. If he can he’ll get a day or two off work (not guaranteed) and he’ll care for you with gentle words and cold compresses to your sweaty forehead. Or he’ll run to the neighbours and beg for some chicken soup for you. He’d refuse to kiss you on the lips but he’d be big spoon and cuddle you until you felt better.

He’d reassure you that your not a burden a lot and remind you how much he loves you with little:

“My handsome man”

“I love taking care of you sweetheart, makes me feel all important y’know”

He’s just a big softie inside really 🥰

Javi Gutierrez: he’s so sweet and caring, he hates seeing you sick so he’d take time away from whatever work he had to stay by your bedside, getting the most expensive medicine he could find only for you to ask him for some warm soup or cuddles. He of course doesn’t care if he gets sick so he’s give you so many sweet and tender kisses, making sure you know how much he loves you. He’d even let you choose a movie other than a nick cage movie if you were reallyyyy sick.

Marcus Moreno: he’d give you his mothers best soup to make you feel better and he’d ask to work at home for a while whislt he takes care of you, sitting on the bed with your head resting in his lap as he works on his computer, staring glances down to see your sick and puffy face sleeping peacefully in his lap cuddled up under blankets. He’d smile and occasionally run his fingers through your hair or traces shapes onto your soft skin, happy tears pricking in his eyes. He’d get missy to write you a get well soon card too.

Agent whiskey: due to his past with his ex he’s so much more concerned if you’re ever sick or hurt in anyway so he’d refuse to go out on missions until he knows for a fact your fit and healthy, constantly by your side biting his lips till their bloody and cracked, nails bitten down so much blood seeps onto his hands and he constantly has to wash them. He’d go crazy over medicine and food so much he often ends up stressed and overworked so much he gets sick too, ending up with you two looking after eachother, your thumbs rubbing over the soft skin of his knuckles to soothe him and whisper sweet words into his ears like:

“I’m okay mi amor, rest your pretty head”

“We’re a couple of sick love struck idiots hm?”

And he’d whisper things like:

“My man is so handsome even when he’s sick huh? That’s not fair”

“You gotta get better soon or I might just go crazy with worry mi Vida. And that wouldn’t be very fun for you now will it?”

Silva: he’d be a lot more quiet with his approach, choosing to simply sit with you, a cold rag dabbed across your sweaty skin and his fingers interlocking with yours. He’d read a book in the rocking chair husky he observed you sleep to make sure you’re okay and he’d take nice cold baths with you propped against his chest, his fingers tracing shapes onto you chest as he mumbles Spanish into your ear.

Oberyn martell: he’s a busy man- being prince of dorne but he’d send for his servants and the best doctors in the land to look after you, settling for comforting you at night. He’d climb into bed with a simple robe on only covering his lower half, one arm hanging over your side and a leg tangled with yours- not too much contact to overheat you in your sick state- but enough that you’re both satisfied. He’d be worried about you and constantly ask his servants updates on you through the day/s and visit you if it got really bad- sitting by your beside holding your hand with tears threading to spill though he’d never admit it if he did cry, chalking it up to you being sick and delusional. Or that it was a dream.

Dieter bravo: he’s been sick so many times from drugs and alcohol that it’s pretty normal for him and he knows how to deal with it like it’s nothing. Of course with you it’s different and he’d treat you liek a prince- knowing the pain you’re probably in. He’d give you the best medicine he knows and even some of his reserved stuff for extremely dark days if he felt needed, and he’d lay with you until it was all better.

sorry I was gone so long everyone- something happens in my life and I took some time off for myself. I am planning on releasing something soon but I just wanted to get something out there for now :)

Din was thrilled from the moment you announced your pregnancy, he would sit down with Grogu explaining the responsibilities of a big brother.

When you give birth, he helps you. It was his fault that you were on a deserted planet after all. He feared the worst, but you were strong and so was your child.

When he first held his daughter, she was still covered in blood, but in his eyes, she was the definition of perfection.

Jack Daniels

This wasn’t the first time he was about to become a father, but this was the time he was super cautious. Making sure you were safe at every second, he doesn’t want to go through the same pain as before.

When you gave birth, he was on a mission. He was called by Ginger and he immediately dropped everything. But he was late.

By the time he arrived to the hospital, you were sleeping and so, he let you sleep while he walked over to the glass so he could see his child. And surely enough Jack found him. The only baby with just a last name, meaning you wanted to wait until he was there to name him.

He felt a tear fall from his eyes as he looked at him, he knew he would do anything to keep his family safe.

Marcus Moreno

It was a quiet night, everyone was sleeping when you woke up. Marcus didn’t even move an inch when you got out of bed. You were in desperate need to pee.

But on your way back to the bed, you felt a terrible pain.

Of course, when you woke Marcus up, he was running around like a chicken without a head, thank God for Missy who was able to help you out.

This wasn’t the first time Marcus her his own baby and standing there he wouldn’t want this to be the last either. He cried. Tears rolling down his face while he held his youngest daughter.

Of course, Missy took multiple pictures of him which she planned on blackmailing her father later on in his life.

Oberyn Martell

Childbirth was something he was used to. He had many daughters before you even came into the picture.

But this was the very first time he held a son and not a daughter. It felt special, and as much as he loved his daughters, his heart still felt a different way to see the youngest addition to his ever-growing family.

He swore his entire life to protect him as he would be his rightful heir. You even caught a glimpse of a tear running down his cheek before he whiped it.

Javier Pena

Panic wouldn’t even begin to describe what he went through that day. He thought he would rather go after another Escobar guy instead of going through this hell, and he didn’t even had to do anything. He held your hand and that’s all. You did all the work.

His mind often went to that dark place, that dark place which told him to just run, leave and never come back, but he stayed.

And that dark voice in the back of his head disappeared when he held his daughter for the first time. And how glad he was that he didn’t leave.

Tiny little girl with his eyes. Perfection. He just stood there, frozen as he looked at her. Not even giving her to the nurses when they asked.

Pero Tovar

After your third child you thought Pero would have enough. You thought he would have enough and not want more children. But you were wrong. Two girls and a boy weren’t enough. He wanted more. And you were happy to give him more.

Each birth was more terrifying to him than the last. He loved his children all the same and he just loved you a little more as he held his second son. Each time he was reminded just how amazing you were and it made his heart explode.

Him, a rough swordsman, such a soft and kind father and husband. He never saw himself in that position. As you finally fell asleep, he watched the kids, showing them his youngest, like the proud father he was.

Recordó que la noche anterior parecía que te había notado molesta por algo aunque no le dijiste nada, tal vez cabía la mínima posibilidad de que hubiese olvidado alguna fecha importante

Estaba seguro que su aniversario no había sido, tampoco alguna salida... En ese momento se quiso golpear a sí mismo, tu cumpleaños, revisó el calendario, claro el día anterior había sido, ¿cómo podía ser tan idiota para haber olvidado la fecha?

Debía de planear algo de inmediato, que valiera la pena y se viera laborioso, quizás así podría subsanar que no se hubiera acordado poniendo de excusa que no todo había estado listo a tiempo.

Recordó el tipi que habían comprado para quien sabe que, tenían adornos para cumpleaños en una caja, simplemente tenía que ir a la tienda y comprar un pastel, un regalo y algo de comida y podría improvisar una especie de velada de campamento sin el problema de los bichos que tanto odiabas.

La primera parada fue en el centro comercial, eligió un par de cosas para que lo pusieran en una caja junto al peluche que había comprado, el regalo ya estaba listo, lo metió en la cajuela del automóvil. La siguiente parada era el supermercado para comprar los ingredientes para cocinar tu platillo favorito.

Estaba seguro de que si te daba tus cosas favoritas fácilmente lo perdonarías.

La última parada fue la pastelería, pidió que escribieran "Feliz cumpleaños T/N".

Por si acaso también compro unos chocolates que ahí vendían.

Rápidamente se puso a arreglar todo el lugar, en cualquier momento podrías llegar y todo debería de estar listo para cuando aparecieras en casa.

—¡Feliz cumpleaños! —él gritó cuando la puerta se abrió al mismo tiempo que te tiraba serpentinas.

—¿Gracias?—dijiste confundida—. Pero Brock, hoy no es mi cumpleaños...

—Sé que era ayer, el regalo no lo tuvieron a tiempo...

Brock intentó excusarse.

—Mi cumpleaños fue el mes pasado —lo interrumpiste, él te lanzó una mirada de confusión—, fuimos a mi restaurante favorito, ¿te acuerdas?

—Ayer estabas enojada y creí que había olvidado alguna fecha, el calendario...

Fue entonces cuando se dio cuenta que no había cambiado la página del calendario, había visto la página incorrecta.

—De nuevo dejaste tu ropa sucia tirada en el baño en vez de en cesto de ropa sucia —comentaste.

Brock movió los ojos, se sentía estúpido, ahora no sabía que hacer.

—Pero tampoco me molesta celebrar de nuevo mi cumpleaños, así que, ¿cuál es la siguiente sorpresa?

De inmediato Brock fue por lo que había cocinado.

O’Shae Sibley was at a Brooklyn gas station with friends late Saturday night, filling up a car and blasting music by Beyoncé when a group of men approached and told them to stop dancing, according to friends.

The men began using slurs and Mr. Sibley, 28, a gay man who was a professional dancer and choreographer, confronted them, according to his friends and a video of the altercation. The argument escalated and one man stabbed Mr. Sibley, according to the police. Otis Pena, one of Mr. Sibley’s best friends, pressed on his wound to stop the bleeding before he was taken to Maimonides Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

“They murdered him because he’s gay, because he stood up for his friends,” Mr. Pena said in a Facebook video that he posted hours after the killing on Coney Island Avenue in Midwood. “His name was O’Shae and you all killed him. You all murdered him right in front of me.”

No arrests had been made by Monday, but the police said that the hate crimes unit was involved in the investigation.

The killing has devastated Mr. Sibley’s family — he is one of 11 siblings — and unnerved the city’s gay community. While the motive remains under investigation, the attack was a reminder of the biases that L.G.B.T.Q. people face.

The Anti-Defamation League and the advocacy group GLAAD issued a report in June indicating an increase in harassment and violence against gay and transgender people, including online bullying, gatherings of armed protesters outside drag shows and bomb threats against hospitals that provide gender transition care. In the first three weeks of June there were 101 such incidents, more than twice the number during the same time period the year before.

Brad Hoylman-Sigal, a gay state senator in New York, said he was “heartbroken and enraged” over Mr. Sibley’s killing.

“Gay joy is not crime,” he said on Twitter. “Hate-fueled attacks are.”

Mr. Sibley had moved from Philadelphia before the pandemic, hoping New York would provide more auditions and opportunities, said an aunt, Tondra Sibley, 49.

“It was a senseless crime,” she said. “O’Shae has always been a peacemaker. All he wanted to do was dance.”

She recalled him as a small boy, “gyrating and jerking” to Missy Elliott. When he got older, he honed his skills at the Philadelphia Dance Company and, on the advice of instructors, began ballet, taking advantage of his long, athletic frame.

Kemar Jewel, a 31-year-old choreographer and director, met Mr. Sibley in Philadelphia 13 years ago at the Attic Youth Center, where gay teenagers could go for after-school programs and activities. They were only a few years apart, but Mr. Sibley saw him as a mentor. “He was like, ‘You’re my uncle. I’m going to call you uncle,’” Mr. Jewel said.

Goofy and fun-loving, Mr. Sibley was serious about his craft. He would hunker down at Mr. Jewel’s apartment until 3 a.m. to study dance videos, from vogueing to the modern techniques introduced by Martha Graham and Lester Horton, American dancers and choreographers born around the turn of the 20th century.

“O’Shae was so well versed. He was great at tap, ballet, hip-hop,” Mr. Jewel said. “He was an incredible visual learner. I’ve seen him watch someone do something twice and then just do it.”

Mr. Jewel, who is in London working on a show, said he was sleeping on Sunday morning when Mr. Pena called to tell him what had happened.

At the gas station, Mr. Sibley and his friends had been playing “Renaissance” by Beyoncé and vogueing, a style of dance that began as an imitation of fashion models in the 1980s and has evolved as an expression of pride and protest.

That is when the group of men approached, calling them names, Mr. Jewel said, recalling the account of Mr. Pena, who could not be reached for comment.

Both Mr. Sibley and Mr. Pena told them, “Stop saying that. There is nothing wrong with being gay.”

Mr. Sibley fought with them, and he was stabbed as Mr. Pena ran to intervene, Mr. Jewel said.

At the Brownsville building where Mr. Sibley lived alone in a studio, his neighbor, Beckenbaur Hamilton, 51, said he had warned the younger man against being so open about his sexuality. Mr. Hamilton, who is also gay, recalled attacks he had suffered in his 20s when going out to clubs, and said that he has recently been overhearing comments on the street about “all these rights” gay people have.

“O’Shae wasn’t afraid of being who he was,” Mr. Hamilton said. “He would defend his friends.”

They loved dancing outside and delighted in drawing a crowd. “But I’d see how people looked at them,” Mr. Hamilton said. “There was a worry in the back of my mind.”

In his video, Mr. Pena described Mr. Sibley as his brother and said the two were “always out and loud.”

“We as a community don’t deserve this,” Mr. Pena said. “We may be gay, but we exist. We’re not going to live in fear. We’re not going to live hiding.”

Mais um book haul e mais desculpas.

Então, rsrsrsrs, toda vez que você ler um post escrito Book Haul neste perfil saiba que eu falhei na minha meta de não comprar livros.

E dessa vez vou bem pior, já que eu não falhei uma, nem duas e nem três vezes... Foram 3 livros, 1 HQ e 1 Mangá.

Vamos às compras e às desculpas:

UM. Death Note Vol. 1: Não sou um grande consumidor de animes, já que, de forma geral, eu tenho uma tendência em abandonar obras audiovisuais e nunca mais voltar pra acabar. Só que tem muitos animes que eu tenho interesse, então porque não tentar o mangá? E o bom do Death Note é que não são 7 milhões de volumes.

Eu só fiquei um pouco decepcionado, porque esperava uma edição mais caprichada (mas só porque estava escrito Black Edition, então eu que fui burro em criar expectativa).

DOIS. Uma coroa de espadas: Essa compra foi simplesmente pelo preço. Eu já li os três primeiro volumes da série e tenho vontade de termina-la (apesar de achar que não é isso tudo, pelo menos não ainda).

Então, considerando que essas últimas edições que estão sendo lançadas são bem caras e essa estava numa promoção ótima, não perdi a chance.

Minha intenção é ler 1 livro de A Roda do Tempo por ano.

TRÊS e QUATRO. Intrinsecos: Essas duas compras foram um pouco impulsivas, mas eu sempre quis ter uma edição dos Intrínsecos e, como deram fim a esse projeto, era agora ou nunca (ainda mais, porque paguei beeem baratinho por essas 2 caixinhas).

Os livros escolhidos foram A Segunda vida de Missy e A história de Shuggie Bein e são, basicamente, aqueles livros de drama que a Intrínseca ama.

Junto com os livros, veio tudo que viria se eu tivesse assinados o Intrínsecos, ou seja, a revista Intrínsecos, marcadores e um brinde em cada caixa: um "livro de memórias" e um "segurador" de livro (????).

CINCO. Watchmen: Essa foi A COMPRA do mês, já que paguei só R$60, hahahaha. Após a facada que levei ao comprar Sandman, que é bom, mas que não compensa o preço, decidi fugir um pouco de HQs, já que de forma geral eu sempre acho um pouco decepcionantes. Só que com nesse valor, achei que valia a pena arriscar a compra de Watchmen. Veremos se é isso tudo mesmo.

Então é isso, só espero que essas compras não atrapalhem um das minhas metas desse ano, que é chegar ao final de dezembro com menos de 20 livros não lidos na estante (hoje, são 41...).

Every time I share images of my Steven Universe collection someone asks me about this framed Missy Peña art, wanting to know where they can get it. I sadly have to tell them it was limited edition sold through Cartoon Network Collective and is no longer available.

Welp! Good news! Missy is currently (as of February 26, 2019) selling comp copies on eBay to raise money for a new computer, and on top of that, the eBay copies are SIGNED.

And Missy's selling them for less than I paid for non-signed ones--it's a total bargain! I'd buy one except I've already got one and they're steep to frame at this size and shape. I'd like to encourage fans to check out the eBay link to Missy's auction if you've been wanting this art! So many people have asked me and it would help the artist out! She's got some other rare and signed items up for sale too if you're into that--great stuff from Avatar: The Last Airbender, Korra, Invader Zim, and others. Check it out folks!
