so the other day (may 2nd) marked one whole year since i started fof and i didn't really want to draw much attention to it because i'm just so.... generally unkind to myself when it comes to this fic lmao. making a post just felt like pointing out to not only my readers but to myself that it's been a whole year since i started and yet the fic is still not complete - something my brain tells me is a massive failure on my part. which is FUCKED because i'd never think that way about anyone else's fic. i know exactly how long it can take to finish things when life is constantly throwing curveballs at you + the way creativity and inspiration is always ebbing and flowing. i get that completely, i just wish i was able to give that same understanding and kindness to myself.

i'm so appreciative of everyone who reads fof and has been so patient with me over the past year when it comes to posting. in the beginning i had just become unemployed and was unsure what direction my life was going in, so writing & posting fic was such an amazing escape and i spent SO much time dedicating myself to that creativity. then i decided to go back to school and a lot changed, for better and for worse. a lot of my time is no longer my own and my mental health took a real nosedive which will always be something i deal with regardless. i'm happy to be back at school and working towards something but it was definitely a sacrifice of creativity and because of that i still consistently feel like i'm letting people down. it doesn't come as easily to me anymore and it hurts to admit but that doesn't mean i don't still enjoy it or that i'm planning on giving up on it.

i love fof - it means so much to me and i WILL see it through to the end no matter how long it may take. same goes for all my other fic ideas & wips that that i've slowly been working on whenever my brain allows. i need to be kinder to myself and acknowledge that a year of writing a fic does not equate to a failure, it shows that despite everything i'm still here and i've still got that creativity and passion i had at the start, even if it manifests itself differently now.

tldr; one whole year of fof & i'm proud of myself 💖💖💖💖 and forever grateful to everyone who loves it just as much as i do ❤️

Ok so. I was planning tondo Ragapom (angst?) Comic named Jealous jester before the second episode would get a premiere. Well...I couldn't finish due to my other TADC related project.

And then 2nd episode came aaaand kinda ruined point of that comic.

But I didn't want to left those lesbians just like that. Nuh Uh. I need celebrate almost 10 000 photos and videos of those two in my gallery.

So I am now ditching that comic and doing TWO things!

One comic named Jealous Ragdoll and one angst animatic.

But for those who wanted to see comic. Here it is. Originaly it was meant to have 14 panels but again. I wasn't able to finish it

I really wish Ibhad more yomr to draw those two, but with school and with two bigger project related to TADC it's hard. I will try my best tho! I will finished that animatic no matter what

what are some scenes of soc you plan on drawing? like do you want to skip to some specific parts? or will you keep going in order and stop after a few chapters?

any way, your work is amazing and I'm looking forward to your posts!

For this specific project, my plans are always to, at the very least, finish the chapter I'm working on. I like to finish what I start, so I try to hold myself accountable to see the chapter through. From the very start, my plan has never been to do the entire book/series, because that would take forever to do as a hobby with all the other work I have going on. So, for now, my plans are to see out Chapter 3 to the end.

As for what comes after Chapter 3, I'm not sure! Chapter 4 is a relatively short chapter, so I'd like to do it once I'm done with this one, but I won't promise that. This project is something I just planned to do until I graduate college, and next year is my senior year. There's definitely a lot I need to do outside of my classwork before I graduate, especially when it comes to finding professional work in my industry. I don't know if I'll still have time to dedicate to the next chapter. I'm sure I'll come to some sort of decision when the time comes.

As for if I'd ever skip around, probably not but maybe! I've been thinking about doing certain scenes that I'd never get to if I went in order, but that's still up in the air. I don't know, lots of things I don't want to promise or commit to just yet.

I think I've said this a million times (because it's true!) but I would absolutely love to draw the full series. I'm still so passionate about the adaptation, and I think it needs to exist. That's why I'm making my version of it, after all. We'll just have to see what the future holds for the project. I hope it's good!

Chapter 1 - Doodled a Demon

The argument was the same every time. “It will corrupt the children!”Blah, blah, blah. Another round of bans for your library. 

“Just because it is here doesn't mean they will or have to read it,” your voice went a little louder than you planned. 

They continued arguing, completely ignoring you. No longer able to control your anger, you stiffened, breaking your pencil in the process. Your attention was drawn to the symbols you had been absentmindedly drawing, and then to the trickle of blood streaming from the prick you had inflected right before the meeting. Low blood sugar mixed with this idiotic group was not a good combo. You stood and headed for the break room. You halted as you heard moaning… (WTF who the hell…)

You rounded the corner and heard a yip as you registered the blue figure under the break room table, doughnut in hand, white cream dripping from his mouth. 

“Aww, don't tell me you took the last headlight doughnut” you spoke softly seeing the almost-scared look in the piercing blue eyes of the young man. Internally you knew what he was, but you always loved to play with the entities you summoned; it was the best way to get a feel for their power and personality. His eyes scanned your frame as a little pink hue graced his cheeks (how cute….).

“I-I, I’m Sorry,,, they smelled so sw-sweet I-I couldn't resist,” his timid, soft, yet slightly static filled voice caused a slight shiver you failed to control. Hopefully, the being in front of you didn't notice. 

You gently plopped yourself under the table next to him, causing him to gasp softly as your body settled against his. He had to be fairly tall, as his legs were scrunched up against him but his feet still stuck out from the table edge. You had a good couple of inches to spare from yours and his knees sat higher. Next move planned— that bit of cream was still at the corner of his mouth— you took a moment to take in his form; height accounted for, you noted his attire, blue and white fitted pinstripe suit. He was so thin (maybe you should let him finish that doughnut) and so pale his skin was almost white, which was curious, as most other entities looked like they were made of soot or fire. You couldn't deny he was the most attractive hell spawn you had yet managed to conjure. Soft-looking white-tipped blue hair and droopy ears were punctuated with small white antlers. 

“Oh deer,” you gently placed your hand under his chin and were surprised as he sighed and leaned into it. “Can't let that go to waste.” A soft moan escaped him as your thumb brushed his lower lip and swiped the cream from his mouth. You winked as you licked your finger, not prepared that his eyes could get any bigger or bluer. They were glowing now, and you could feel he was shaking slightly. 

You retrieved your notebook from beside you, “I suppose I should thank you for answering my call, though for once I didn't plan this one.” You laughed showing the page of doodles that had served as his invitation. 

His mouth moved for a few beats, but no words came out; he took a deep breath and reached in his coat pocket pulling out something small and yellow, before throwing it in his mouth (do demons need medicine?) Another deep breath and the tremors radiating from his body stopped.

“Well you had to have some need….. f -for assistance for you to call me here” 

“What if I just wanted some company” you teased leaning toward him. His body shivered. (So he liked that idea)

“I-I-I I would be willing to answer a call like..” his face flushed pink as his eyes scanned your face and dropped for a second to the neckline of your dress. He snapped his gaze back to your eyes, releasing the next word in a breathy sigh, "That…..b-b-but it takes more intention than com-com-company to call me forth.” You couldn't help but notice his free hand making a come hither motion as he stumbled over the same syllable. You failed to hide the smirk on your face, and your reaction made him go slightly rigid, his face turning red, emitting an almost purple aura as the blush mixed with the glow from his blue eyes. 

You chuckled, “I suppose that aspect will be a bonus to our arrangement. My intentions were driven by anger from the meeting I was trapped in. Should technically still be in there, but they don't listen to me anyway. Hence the unconscious request for assistance. First time I've doodled a demon to earth.” You met his eyes, eager to see his reaction to you calling him out. 

To your surprise, he actually relaxed some at your admittance to summoning him. “So you know, w-w-what I am..?"

“If I didn't, I would have ran away positively spooked by the deer man with a commanding aura under the table…. No matter how cute he was.” You brought your hand up to his very rosy cheek, but before you made contact you heard the meeting room doors open. 

“Shit! Please tell me you have a human disguise.”

[Rc9gn OC] Goddess of Amber, creator of the Eye of Eternity |

Ladies, gentlemen and nonbinary folks, I’ve finally finished this introduction card for this gorgeous lady — Some of you might’ve already seen her on some of my drawings, but she didn’t have a proper introduction. As usual, you can read more in the section below : D

Actually, the idea for this character popped to my head when I was rewatching some episodes, and I focused all my attention on the Eye of eternities. Like—woah! That’s a cool and important item, but … where did it come from? Like— it’s always “and the ninja had this magical stone and used it to do this and this” so he just had a powerful artifact in his back pocket? I didn’t question it 10 years ago, but now I have a power of imagination and ability to draw — So I played around with this concept

As it’s written on the card, she’s the goddess of amber. Even though she’s one of the divine, she’s not really considered to be very powerful— and so she doesn’t really have lost of recognition anywhere.

As for her character— She has her own system and ways of doing things, she’s harsh and rarely accepts change. Things rarely catch her attention, only when something extraordinary happens, she will get interested.— And I get her, she’s old, very old— at some point you simply loose interest in the mundane, especially if you have seen it happen for thousands of years. Amber spends her days in solitude, away from noisy people and other gods — she prefers to focus all her energy on her craft rather than social interactions.

What she crafts? Well, mainly enchanted amber. With it she’s able to capture almost everything— but I’m not talking only about organic things— many essences can be kept in such form— Feeling, music, memories, spirit— It helps her relive the moments even from hundreds of years ago.

She’s also found of making jewelry— In the picture she’s holding a string of amber that will eventually become a necklace like this:

Amber met First Ninja on accident— After he was defeated by Tengu, he was badly injured and casted down from its mountain — Luckily his agonizing tumble ended in Amber’s garden— At first she was annoyed with the intruder, but seeing how he somehow survived all the suffering, sparked some attention towards him.

She patched him up and listened to his stories — Probably the tails of the sorcerer and the threat he posed, stirred something inside her— If chaos destroyed the land, she would lose her peaceful life.

So she helped him recover, and even taught him a few new moves. After defeating the Tengu she decided that she wants to preserve peace across whole land — finally she has found a new calling in her life.

- I’ve tried looking into it, but I didn’t really find anything about the symbolism of the carp in the series— Seeing how it’s always connected with the Eye of Eternities— I might as well make a silly connection, that Carp is her symbol — Also, let me add this stupid fun fact — The sea in my country (Poland 🗣️‼️‼️)is known for its amber — So fish equals sea and that reminds me of amber.

- She probably looked less elegant while traveling and fighting with the Ninja, but I haven’t designed that yet

- When I’m referring to “Gods” or “Heavenly” I don’t have any of my characters in mind — I usually think about Japanese pantheon

There are three words that might need some clarification, so here it goes:

- 古樹の女神 (Koju no Megami) - It roughly translates to “Goddess of Ancient trees” Amber starts as a sap from a tree, and takes some sweet time to form into its solid gem form. So this title is quite fitting

- 樹液 (Jueki) - It literally means sap — It’s kind of a pet name for her? Or a name you’d call your sweetheart— To be honest it’s only used by some of her closest friends— Others call her Amber or just refer to her as Lady.

- Naginata - is a polearm and one of several varieties of traditionally made Japanese blades (Wikipedia)

Doodles on the corner of my paper//Wolfstar

Remus is trying to do homework and Sirius is distracting him by doodling on his papers.

Remus is lying on his stomach on his bed with papers and notebooks scattered around him.

He was writing a paper for potions class that the teacher had handed out to the class last minute. The assignment wasn’t that bad. It was slightly tedious but other than that, it wasn’t hard. It should take only an hour. Or at least it would only be taking an hour if Sirius wasn’t distracting him! It’s now been 2 and a half hours and Remus is only halfway through the assignment.

Sirius, his best friend, his crush, keeps grabbing at his paper and doodling on it while he was trying to work! “Stop it.” Remus says through his teeth with irritation as he swats at Sirius’ hand. Sirius being the drama queen he is, gasps and pouts every time Remus smacks his hand.

Remus rolls his eyes at him as he pulls the paper away. His eyes move to the corner of the page where a new drawing has been added.

This one was of a wolf howling at the moon. Remus can’t help but huff out a small chuckle at how ironic the drawing was.

He sees Sirius move a hand towards his paper again and Remus sends him a glare, holding the paper closer to himself. Sirius’s hand slowly backs off, but Remus knows it’s not permanent.

Not even ten minutes later Remus is so absorbed in trying to complete the assignment that he doesn’t see when Sirius grabs ahold of his paper again, until suddenly it’s being ripped away just before his pencil can touch the paper again.

Remus groans and lets his head fall onto the bed, feeling ready to just give up and go to sleep. It was already past 11:00pm. He was tired and just wanted to finish his homework.

He reaches his hand out, his face still on the bed, and feels his hand land on the paper, but before he can snatch it back, Sirius has grabbed his hand.

Remus’ head shots up as he feels Sirius’ cold hand against his own warm skin.

“What are you doing?” Remus can’t help but ask as his heart starts beating a mile a minute.

“Drawing on your paper.” Sirius responds with an obvious tone of duh in his answer.

“I need that paper back Sirius.” Remus says for the millionth time, as if this time is going to go better than the last ones.

“Hmmm.” Sirius says, feigning deep thought “no.”

With a sigh Remus gives up on his paper. Sirius clearly wasn’t going to stop drawing it and Remus could really use some sleep right about now.

With a tired groan he moves to get up and lift the covers of his bed, before flopping down on his stomach as he slips under the blanket.

“Awe Moony you’re not going to bed already are you? It’s only 11:00.”

“It’s not only 11:00. It’s already 11:00.” Remus responds as his voice becomes thick with sleep as he closes his eyes.

“But Moonyyyyy.” Sirius whines.

“Go to sleep.” Remus said, not bothering to open his eyes as he makes a shooing motion at Sirius.

Even with his eyes closed Remus can tell Sirius is giving him puppy dog eyes and pouting his lip.

Remus is already halfway to being asleep when he feels the covers lift and he opens his eyes with a squawk as he sees Sirius getting under his covers.

“What are you doing?!” Remus asks, panicked.

Sirius looks up at him as if he had just asked the stupidest question known to man.

“You said go to sleep.” Sirius says, getting himself more comfortable on the bed. “So I’m going to sleep.”

“Wha- that’s not- a-“ Remus says intelligently, sitting up as he tries to comprehend what’s going on.

“Shhhh. Go to sleep.” Sirius says with a cocky smile on his face as he closes his eyes.

Remus opened his mouth, wanting to give Sirius a sassy retort but quickly stopped as a wave of exhaustion washed over him. Fine. If this was going to make Sirius be quiet and stop bothering him then he could deal with it.

Slowly he lies back down and ignores the blush that starts to form all over his face at how close he is to Sirius.

He could feel the other boy’s body heat from their proximity.

Taking a deep breath Remus tries not to think about the boy beside him whose breath was now becoming deep and even. He tries not to think about how he’ll have to scramble in the morning to finish his homework in time for class, and he tries not to think about how the other boys will react when they see Remus and Sirius in the same bed, as he lets sleep take him.

I'm not gonna screenshot it bc 1/it really doesn't matter that much and 2/the person who made the comment is a kid but: a while ago I made a comic that's supposed to be a genuine study and reinterpretation of someone else's sprite comic (made in the spirit of authenticity too - to recreate the vibes of the sprite comics from that era, iirc very specifically because it's funny) and I got a comment on that comic's post that's like "glow up"

which is a compliment obvs. and the commenter probably didn't mean anything by it, it's a common expression. but I've been trying to find a way to gracefully put that comment away ever since it appeared lol

I just very much don't want my art to be taken as trying to one-up someone else's art when that's not the piece's intention. especially when the piece that inspired my art is perceived as "low effort" or "shitpost" or stuff like that. I did mention in the tags of that post that my considering it a study is entirely genuine, and I can legitimately write pages about the cool stuff I find in it other than and inherent in the haha funneys, but that's not for you guys that's for me. I just think that approaching art competition-first like that is a miserable way to do it, and (tipping into overthinking here if the whole tiny-comment-got-stuck-in-my-brain-for-almost-a-month part hasn't given that away yet lol) I really don't want that to be the takeaway from my own art. at least generally. if I actually think the source material is trash and what I'm doing is genuinely categorically better I'd just come out and say it lmao
