Does anybody on tumblr love Perona as much as I do?!

(Once again, may be more accurate to pre time skip perona 😋)

Perona with a girlfriend seems like such a sweetie!! And I say this in the kindest way possible- but with men (specifically stupid men) she just seems to get upset quicker?? Granted, in the show, as far as I’ve seen she interacts with male more than females (poor her she’s gonna go insane) but then again there’s more guys than girls in op anyway.

Moving on- shopping with her is always fun!! ٩( 'ω' )و you two could shop for hours and hours together. By the way I’m specifically talking about when she dropped zoro off on sabaody. You can’t tell me she didn’t stay for a while and buy a crap ton of cute clothes. Ngl the girls in the background of sabaody had some pretty cute outfits!! Which mean they have good clothing stores. Which means you two definitely when on a shopping spree 😉🤩

I’m talking going from store to store, getting snacks like pretzels and cotton candy in between, going on a few rides n such. And of course getting some sweet deals because your cute and know how to coupon 😋😋

While we’re on the topic I might as well mention fashion. In fact these wouldn’t be Perona headcanons without it⁉️ Like have you SEEN how that girl dresses?! I LOVE her style it’s so cute!! (Opinion: I like her pre time skip fit better) Besides the point tho, I just feel like she couldn’t get along with someone who has no style so IK for sure you’ve got some 🙌

Either that or your okay with her dolling you up LOL. Ngl I feel like she’d love that- whether you can dress or not. She doesn’t even have at least bearsy anymore so who else does she have to glamify??? 😱 Zoro?Mihawk? 😖 No way they’d let her!! 😤 But dw at the very least you know you’ll always look good 😘💋💗

Cooking with Perona! (THAT COULD BE THE NAME OF A TV SHOW AT THIS POINT HAHAHAH) but yes of course cooking is a sort of love language for her, so she’s always cooking you stuff!! Meals, snacks, desserts whatever! She makes them randomly but you’d better appreciate it!!

if you can’t cook she’d have no problem doing it for you, but you simply must appreciate it!! At least thank her verbally if your not gonna do something in return physically! Okay?

if you can, you two have lots of fun cooking each other meals. There has been many days where you make each other your favorite meals then sit down and eat it together all romantic-like. ☺️ Aaaand there’s also times you have little mini arguments as to who’s cooking who’s favorite food tonight.

“No! Sit down I’ve got it, I said!!”

“I’ll do it Perona don’t worry about it!”

“No way! I was gonna make your favorite tonight!”

”huh? No don’t do that, I was gonna make your favorite!”

i mean yeah where else but you get me. You two stay up and gossip about any and everything. She’s the gossip type of girl 💯 I’m not saying you are though, so if you aren’t she can talk about anything, she doesn’t mind :) you could always build a pillow fort, read books, paint each other’s nails/toenails and sing instead 💖

she def rants to you about zoro and mihawk being living, breathing headaches. Which, unless your a nonchalant girly- you probably understand. 😭 having alone time with each other is essential to keep the other sane. 😄

her affections are cooking and doing favors for you. She’s also quite protective/big sister like and will make sure your okay randomly throughout your day. She keeps your hair in place and buttons the buttons you forgot to button up. 💖💖 that type of big sister like <33 she may or may not complain a bit (not as much as with zoro) but she’ll do basically any (sane 😭) thing you ask of her. If your ill/injured she forces you to stay in bed as long as it takes until you’ve made a full recovery. I feel she’d have a lot of medical knowledge so that helps ;D

she’d be shy about it when your first getting into the relationship, but after a while..! when in private, I feel like she’d be very soft for cute little kisses! 😚 100% in private though- she doesn’t want any sour faces from zoro or mihawk (😑) she’d make this clear too because she like to be made fun of 😒

her kisses are really soft, so are her lips. She’d probably leave light lipstick stains all over your face. She’d accidentally make those little smooching sounds each time she kisses you. She’s embarrassed about it but you two laugh it off and continue smothering bunches of love all over the other’s features. She really loves kissing your cheeks—they’re so squishy and cute!! <3 and she looooves cute things 😊

I ended up loving Perona much more than I thought I would when I started watching one piece 😭💗 not complaining tho !! 💋

I hc that the Bargainer Statues are early depictions of the Fierce Deity (who's true form therefore has 4 eyes), who is referred to as a Kishin in Japanese, which according to folklore, are wrathful, powerful, even scary-looking beings & vicious fighters, but are also deeply compassionate, benevolent, & protectors at there core. They're said to enact just & righteous vengeance for those who've been wronged.

Anyway, my thoughts are that he is the 3rd in the Hylian/Demise triad, being where the Hero's Spirit originates from. I also hc that he created the Sheikah much like how Hylia created the Hylians. (So, if the naming conventions follow, his true name could start with "Shei" or "Sheik.")

Anyway, he's a god of war, the moon, heroism, & death. Which is why Link is always able to see spirits. He gathered spirits & fought or soothed Poes (the enemies) either by fighting them or playing the Song of Healing.

The Dark Clumps being pieces of the pseudo-flesh that spirits form to create Poes & the Depths Set being made from this pseudo-flesh.

Also, I hc that the symbols are actually ancient Sheikah script, which the Fierce Deity taught the Sheikah. And before losing or giving up his immortality, he tasked the Sheikah with taking his place, which is who delivered the spirits to the Bargainer Statues before Link.

This is part of the reason why the Sheikah are so heavily associated with death & graveyards.

As for who the Bargainers are, they are this thing called a bushin in Japanese culture, which there deities have the ability to split pieces off of themselves & create lesser copies that rule over certain areas, but are lead by the source deity. The same is said for the Goddess Statues. Basically, Hylia & Fierce gave up their immortality, but the statues are still being run by their bushin.

Stop me, I will literally talk you ear off if you don't.

.................................................... OP. My guy, my gal, my non-binary pal. Why did you drop this on my inbox? This needs to be its own proper post! This is a very fascinating take on the Bargainer and the other known deities in the Zelda world.

Ngl, I haven't thought much about the Bargainer and their role is since there's so little in their lore. Other than "guiding lost souls into the afterlife without prejudice" and exchanging materials, weapons and outfit sets in return of Poes... (Kinda like how the Goddess Statue exchanges Blessings for Hearts, Stamina and Sage's Wills).

And seeing so many Poes in the Depths in a state of purgatory, makes me think that they are akin to the Grim Reaper of sorts. On top of the Yiga notes about how those "strange statues" would rip the souls out of fellow members if they come too close to it in the Depths.

I also imagine that the name "Bargainer" is a recent title when they were (re)discovered by present-day Hyruleans. And their true name had already been lost to the looooooong passage of time. And for all we know, the "Bargainer" was the god(dess) of the long extinct Zonai people.

That's about as far as I have for the Bargainer.

As for other deities like Hylia, Demise and the Fierce Deity, I don't have much beyond what is present in the games and the popular headcanons shared within the Zelda fandom.

I do have headcanons on how each race and clans interpret these deities and their own faith systems. For example, the Sheikah view Hylia as a "two faced" deity with "light and shadow" themes in their faith. Which is in contrast to their Hylian counterparts who have more clear-cut views on Hylia as the benevolent protector-goddess of their people (And why the Horned Statue exists and is shunned and hidden away).

(Though this is all part of my BotW-TotK Family and Legacy story.)

TL;DR I don't have a lot of ideas / headcanons on who or what these deities are. BUT I do have headcanons on how they are interpreted by different peoples/races.

But seriously though OP, if you're reading this, you need to create dedicated posts and elaborate more on these headcanon ideas. They have POTENTIAL to become some very delicious reads.

You've probably said it before but who's your favorite Belmont

Yeah, I know he's probably the second most popular Belmont after Richter, but sometimes I too am basic :P

I call him the Sonic of Castlevania because he's effortlessly cool, has a bit of an attitude but a heart of gold, doesn't hold grudges against the people who shunned him, and is very, very friendly - you can infere this by how easily all sorts of people follow him in CV3, and how he doesn't hold Alucard's heritage against him when the poor guy was angsting about it. Yeah, so maybe you have to read the manual and really look into the events of a NES game to get an idea of his personality, but that doesn't mean he's a cardboard cutout like NFCV some fans think!

And his sassiness in CoD cracks me up lmao, he's so cocky and confident and he pulls a mean eyebrow and

i may be willing to sell both kidneys for a cod remaster, but only as long as they manage to recreate the sheer amount of raw gay energy exuding from all characters

also i'm a whole believer in the theory that he was so difficult to hector at first because he had a crush on him and was being all tsundere about it. because everyone has a crush on hector. also hevor canon

And even then he's humble when questioned about his title as the one who killed Dracula, he immediately gives credit to his friends <3 he cares <3

Also his design is just really good, the scars that mark him as a survivor, the outfit that is both fashionable and protective (kind of like Hector, but not as confusing lol), the longcoat that goes swish <3 he looks like a professional vampire hunter, practical but not without flare!

Another thing he has in common with Sonic: his music slaps me into another dimension. (Beginning is also good! But I prefer his "ohshitohshitohshit the belmont wants me dead aaaaaa" theme :P)

anyway. trevor cool. he's shaped like a friend :)

Aside from him, Leon and Juste also have a special place in my heart! Leon is also just a noblehearted dude who threw everything he had away for the chance of saving his beloved, and after losing LITERALLY EVERYTHING HE HELD DEAR IN ONE NIGHT, he still had the strength to live on and not fall into the temptation Mathias had fallen into. Also his theme is literally my favorite CV track of all time, it's just perfect for him and the part in the game it plays in. Juste is just OP as all hell, and he has a funny personality - he's the prettiest Belmont by a long shot but he's also kind of rude and aggressive? lol - and with him you can start to see the Belmont legacy weigh on his shoulders. I also choose to see something in the way he vehemently denies Maxim the chance to explain what happened to Lydie in the best ending, as if he just wanted to forget everything. And the worst ending of HoD kills me :(

Okay I finally have something to say about Lesson 17. Not because I didn't initially but man my thoughts were all over the place.

Spoilers below as always.

First: Solomon because what!

Let me begin by saying that I am not here to discuss whether or not anything that either Asmo or Solomon have done in regards to each other is "right" or not. They're fictional characters, as far as I know they've both always been morally grey, and there is more than enough discussion about this elsewhere. If someone wants to know my opinion, feel free to ask, but if that's what you're looking for, it isn't going to be in this post.

That being said!

Why is Solomon telling us this story about his pact with Asmo again? I mean, he already told us about it several lessons ago. Not only that, but he tells it differently. The first time he says he met Asmo in his hometown, but this time he says it was just some town after a festival. The stories aren't the same. So either he's just too drunk this time around and he's misremembering things or he lied to us the first time.

Either way, the fact that they have made him bring it up so much means it has to be relevant to the story in general. I mean, that's Storytelling 101. If you keep bringing something up in your story, you have to do something with it. That's Chekhov's gun, you know?

If the purpose is for us to notice that his story has changed, then maybe my theory about past!Solomon is more true than I thought? It might even just be a completely different Solomon from a different branch of time.

Because I noticed something else - Solomon is the only character whose outfit changes regularly throughout the story. (Aside from the latest one where everybody wears their RAD uniforms.)

He starts out in what they call his casual outfit - it's the sorcerer one with the cape. But then he switches to what they used to call his human world outfit - the one with the trench coat and fancy necklaces. He stays that way for several lessons, then switches back again. He switches back and forth between them one more time throughout the lessons we have. And he's wearing the human world outfit the first time he tells us about Asmo and the casual sorcerer outfit the second time when he's drunk.

This might not mean anything at all, but it just seems like we may be dealing with rotating Solomons.

ANYWAY. Every time a new lesson comes out I say I'm not going to analyze it too much because my theories always get out of control. And yet here I am doing the very thing I say I won't do!

Pfff. I can't help it, this game has taken over my brain.

It also seems a little out of character for Solomon to straight up get drunk because MC was gone for one day. Like this is the guy who spent most of his life alone and all that? Hmmm. It was pretty funny when he was hungover the next day though.

Second: RAPHAEL

WHAT DID THAT ANGEL JUST SAY?!

They want the brothers to go BACK?!

Listen here, I am not okay with this development. I hope they're not gearing up for a season 2 about a war in the past. I want to go back to the present already. I want to know the truth about who Nightbringer is. I want to know what the HELL is going on! I wanted all this story line to wrap up in one season! But we're already on lesson 17, I feel like we're no closer to knowing who Nightbringer is and NOW the Celestial Realm has basically declared war on the Devildom?

I mean, there's no way the bros would actually go back. Not after everything they've been through. Though I could see Lucifer trying to take on the responsibility all by himself somehow. All I know is that MC better pull out their OP abilities and fix this before the end of lesson 20, thanks.

Okay, that's all I had to say, I'm gonna get back to writing some fluffy fics now lol.

Thank you so much!! Your headcanons on Cutler have been amazing as well, I'm so glad this character that gets like, two lines of dialogue about him is getting recognized by the fandom (as he DESERVES!)

Headcanons about Cutler

Cutler had his eyes on the cute scrap seller in Rivet City for a while, and their first real interaction was him trying to flirt.

Danse, being on the aroace spectrum (maybe demisexual?) and extremely oblivious, never realized this fact. He assumed Cutler was just trying to haggle for a lower price.

Cutler never bought anything though. Instead he would ask about the original uses of all the pre-war items Danse had in stock and watched as Danse's face lit up. He loved to listen to him ramble about things he was passionate about.

He asked Danse out for a meal one evening and Danse, hungry and poor, was happy with the free food. Danse never quite picked up on Cutler's crush, but Cutler took it in stride anyway - he was a very carefree guy who was perfectly fine with making a new friend.

Danse and Cutler were basically opposites. Cutler was always impulsive and chaotic, big golden retriever energy, and Danse was much more reserved and anxious when he was younger.

They balanced each other out well, Danse could reel Cutler's chaos in and Cutler taught Danse to loosen up a little. They got into trouble sometimes, but never anything too serious.

I also imagine Cutler to be a bit of a nomad. He had a sister at home he'd send mail to regularly, but other than that he was always moving and exploring the wasteland without a specific goal in mind, only staying at places for a few months at a time before moving on.

So of course he was hyped about the Brotherhood recruiting. Free food, clothing, shelter, and education! And once he got bored he'd just dip and find a new place to call home like he always has.

He probably would have left the Brotherhood long before his scouting op if it wasn't for Danse, honestly.

His opinion of Danse was a complicated one. Depsite not usually becoming attached to friends or lovers, he had this urge to keep Danse safe and watch him succeed in life. Danse was such a strange guy with such a complicated mind it was like watching a bug under a microscope... and his crush on him really didn't help.

By the time he realized just how deep of a hole he dug himself into it was too late to back out and go back to his nomad life. Not that he minded, he was more than happy following Danse to wherever he wanted to go.

At a certain point they both knew they loved each other, but nothing was ever said. It really wasn't important to either of them to label their relationship or have some sort of big admission of love. They just silently knew they'd be there for each other no matter what.

The last time they saw each other was when Cutler was leaving on his mission. He waved through the window of the vertibird and Danse, not wanting to break protocol, kept a steady salute and didn't wave back. They really thought they were going to see each other again.

As for physical features

Danse struggles with a bit of face blindness, so he tends to look for concrete features like hair, markings, or clothing to identify people. Cutler of course mirrored this perfectly by being very noticable in terms of appearance.

Blonde hair, green eyes. A burn scar going down his face and to his shoulder. Cheap jewelery with a fake gold chain necklace. And, despite how cold it probably was in rivet city, he always wore a white tank top. He was a very memorable guy and didn't change his outfits often!

When Cutler died he still had his dogtags and chains around his neck, almost tight enough it was constricting blood flow. This sticks with Danse for a long time and plays a bit into my fic Danse and Uncertainty where he gets all emotional seeing a feral with a sundress on. It reminds him that all these monsters were once human, and potentially once someone's friend.

I don't quite have a story in mind for his burn scar, but given how he spent a big chunk of his life moving around it's not surprising he had some scars. He was never self conscious of them and loved showing them off and telling the stories, even if he had to stretch the truth a bit to make them more interesting.

Prob know the answer to this but: opinions on either fanny or rachel? Just as characters in General, what couldve been done better abt them, or what shouldve been explored more?

I was waiting to be asked this. I’ve been incredibly attached to Fanny and Rachel since day one cause they were the first KND characters I saw other than Sector V and what got me interested in the show (mostly because I was thinking “the hell is that blonde kid wearing??”)

Fanny is my all-time favourite KND character and one of my top five favourite characters from any media ever. So I kinda like her. Idk how to describe why I like her so much but I think she’s generally written well. I wish that they’d at least attempted to give her an actual Irish accent cause hearing her voice for the first time physically pained me as an Irish person. Also, why did they name her that it’s SO awkward talking about her to people I know irl and it’s worse because she is Irish herself, the gag is so much cruder over here than in the us. Also, they needed to stop trying to give her male crushes it isn’t fooling anyone, numbuh 19th century barely exists in my head. There are a few things I would’ve liked to see explored, like her relationship with her family since I feel like we only got tidbits of it, and I wanted to see her and Kuki actually being friends after op Slumber. And I wanted to see her and Abby interacting more but that’s purely because I like both of them a lot. Also backstory on why she went from being a nurse to a Decom soldier!! What happened she looks so innocent in the op Maurice flashback. When I first watched I expected at least something being implied but we basically got nothing. I just wish we got to see more of the Decom squad and how they work. I have a lot of thoughts about Fanny that I cannot put into words right now or ever and I also do not want this to be too long but just know there’s more! That I could say!

Rachel is my 2nd favourite KND character (who would’ve guessed) and, as I said before, her garish outfit is what compelled me to get into KND. Op IT is one of my favourite episodes because I like how it portrays Rachel. It’s what set KND apart from other shows cause I don’t think a lot of kids' shows at the time would’ve acknowledged how, realistically, stressful the job of being supreme leader would be, especially for a kid. I wish we could’ve seen more of her, especially from before she became supreme leader. I know it’s a small moment in hindsight but the end scene of op fugitive gives me the idea that she acted really differently before she became supreme leader. Maybe it’s just me but compare how she scolded Fanny to how she scolded Nigel in op Zero, the one in op Fugitive just seems more personal and rude. And the fact she wanted to be the supreme leader when Chad left even though it’s established that no knd operative wants to be makes me think she was a bit arrogant before she became supreme leader. I also wish we could’ve seen her interacting with other moonbase operatives like 65.3 and 35. Also her and Chad!! They definitely were close in some way why didn’t we get to see it?!

Unsurprisingly I wish we could’ve gotten more of Fanny and Rachel’s relationship. Obviously, Fanny has a lot of respect and admiration for Rachel, which isn’t connected to Rachel’s status as supreme leader since she felt the same way before Rachel became supreme leader. Honestly, the most compelling part of their relationship to me is that there’s a bit of a disconnect between how they each view it. Fanny admires Rachel but she doesn’t consider Rachel a friend since she claims she doesn’t have any in op Slumber. But Rachel openly calls Fanny by her name which the show itself establishes is for really close friends so it’s clear that Rachel considers Fanny a friend. I’d have to guess that Fanny’s self-doubt and how much she respects Rachel makes it so that Fanny can’t imagine that Rachel would be her friend. These girls need to communicate. Also, they’ve known each other for a long time since they’re both in the op Maurice flashback. And the fact they could’ve been in the same sector cause both their brothers are in sector w. God! There’s just so much potential and I wish the show explored just a little bit of it! At least I wanted there to be a moment where it’s said out loud they’re friends cause I’m sick of people trying to claim Rachel dislikes Fanny it isn’t true (is incredibly biased)

okay deltarune opinion incoming so spoilers and all that

Okay here’s like my take on the secret bosses so far. Fair warning this isn’t structured at all, I just kinda leap from subject to subject and this entire thing is just ramblings so don’t expect some well thought out and presented theory it is just my thoughts, and some messy theories. SORRY IN ADVANCE FIR THE LONG POST like seriously this post is just a bunch of enormous paragraphs about my extra shaky barely supported deltarune theories so be warned

First of all, jevil is pretty widely assumed to be the joker card in a deck of cards. Mostly from the fact that he was the jester in a card based dark world and that he is wearing a joker outfit. Also, his signature line is “I can do anything”, which is kind of a reference to the fact that a joker card can do anything in most card games. Anyways, so I saw this theory in a video about the bosses being tossed aside or ignored things. And I was agreeing with it, but then I thought about jebil. Why would a joker card be tossed aside? Okay well in my experience. The joker card is usually super op in most card games. For example, in war, most of the time the joker is regarded as being able to beat any card (in some cases only an ace can beat it, but I’m not sure how common that rule is or if it has any significance to the interpretation). For this reason, it’s usually not included to make the game more fair, as most of the time anyone who ends up with a joker card gets a huge advantage. So a lot of the time people end up playing without a joker and forgetting about it. And his whole backstory? I think that jevil believing that his life is a game is another reason he’s always saying “I can do anything”. The world he lives in is populated by (mostly) a suit of cards. And once he realized he was the joker, he kinda realized how powerful he was compared to everyone else. He could literally do anything they could. So yeah that’s my take. Very badly structured and probably obvious, but I’d rather make a post than spam my friends about it.

Spamton is kinda more easy because of the sheer amount of characters who are able to add details and perspectives to his story. But I’m still gonna take a crack at it. Right off the bat, it becomes obvious that spamton is a spam ad. His disjointed speech that’s often interrupted with words or phrases you often see in spam, the fact that he pops out and starts forcing us to make a deal (in contrast to the other ads who you could choose to interact with), the rip off items in his shop, and his literal name. I think this is also what the addisons meant when they said “he was just unlucky”. Unlike the other ads, spamton was kind of doomed from the start. No matter how hard he works, nobody will buy his products because he’s a spam ad, and basically Nobody ever clicks on spam ads. The rest of his story is mostly outright told to us. He gets famous from a man named Mike, gets so popular he gets into the queens castle, the addisons leave him out of jealousy, Mike stops helping him, he goes a bit insane and starts worshipping a broken down machine, he gets evicted, and eventually we come along and help him (to sum it up). I also have a theory that he might’ve falllen into the acid pool at some point, but it’s not well supported. My only evidence really is that he’s very tiny and the dialogue in his shop where he randomly starts screaming in pain and saying how “it burns”. Not really important but I couldn’t fit it in anywhere else. Ok moving on. So even though we’ve basicslly got spamtons backstory down, there’s still something we’re all in the dark about: Mike, the man in the tv. So it’s kind of widely accepted at this point that mike is the grinning tv seen at the end of chapter two, and that’s what I’m basing my theory on. So why would the tv guy help spamton? Okay so here’s my thoughts. One thing that has been a regular thing on tv for a while is dumb commercials that try to convince people to buy useless things. I feel like Most people usually don’t pay attention to that kind of stuff. But I will say, even though I have no evidence to support this, based on my experiences and the people around me, commercials work much better than spam ads, even if they’re essentially the same thing. My thoughts on why: spam ads are something st the edge of the screen that you can ignore or usually close. And when they take the form of messages or emails, they’re usually sent straight to the junk or spam sections, meaning there’s a huge chance they won’t even be seen. But on tv, most of these spam advert style commercials are on live channels, meaning they can’t be skipped. Meaning that more people see them and are tempted to buy the things in them. So if spamtons ads were out in commercial form, it would make sense for him to suddenly get a boost in popularity. But this could also explain why Mike stops helping him. Eventually, due to changes in the way tv works, these dumb spam ad type adverts became less effective and only caused people to be more annoyed with live tv/switch to other methods of watching movies. So it would make sense for Mike to drop spamtons commercials as soon as they started causing viewers to drop. My last piece of evidence to support this would be, how one addison specifically calls attention to the noise that is heard when you try to call someone in the dark world. It’s described as garage noise, but what you hear is a messed up kind of staticky noise. Spamton also has static in his eyes when he mentioned Mike.

Oh yeah, here’s another thing. Something I don’t see many people talk about it the moment in his shop where his eyes go dark and he says “hello….can anyone hear me…..” or smth like that, and then says that he didn’t hear anything but he thinks it’s probably for us?? I’ve got a few theories. It could be his connection with Mike (again, note that he has dark static eyes when he says this). “It’s for you” is a phrase commonly used when you get a phone call for someone else, and in this theory we can surmise that Mike was the one calling spamton. So maybe it’s a hint about us facing Mike next chapter? I have some other guesses but no actual evidence to support them so I’ll leave those out for brevity (I say that as if this post isn’t a gajillion paragraphs long already lmao)

Ok last thing: this is pretty irrelevant to the bosses but it technically counts. So a lot of others have already drawn the obvious connection between spamton neo and mettaton neo. But why is mettatons robot body rusting away at the bottom of queens castle? Here’s my theory. So mettaton, at the moment, seems to not have transitioned by this point (wether you view his transition in undertale as being a trans thing or just being a ghost inhabiting a body it likes thing, the word still applies either way so it’s what I’ll use). He refuses to show his face, and is a lot more negative, angrily answering to you and immediately assuming you want to see napstablook instead. Another thing to note is that he calls himself a nobody, and no one in the town seems to mention him. So given all that it’s safe to assume he’s still a ghost with no body. But what does that have to with his neo form in the cyber world? Well my thought is that mettaton designed what his dream form would look like using the computer, but then for some reason (sadness, shame, despair, whatever you want to interpret it as) he tried to delete the file or buried it deep. As the queens castle in general reminds me of a search engine (the rooms based on the characters searches, the butlers giving people the things they ask for or like, the bookshelves, queen herself being concerned with noelles searches, etc.), it’s possible he might have even bookmarked a tab with his design and then forgot about it/didn’t want to revisit it, and the bookmark got buried under the searches and bookmarks of others. Whichever makes more sense idk it’s late. Anyways. So if mettaton is at the point where he wants fame, knows that he wants a different body, and has long had a design, why is he still a ghost who hides away? Well the sad truth is (in my opinion), he’s got no way to make the body. Undertale was a much more fantastical world, full of magic and crazy inventions and things that would be otherwise impossible. Deltarune is a much more grounded world. It contains monsters, but there’s seemingly no magic, no crazy inventions, ordinary shops and buildings. While a “magic portal to a dark town” would be commonplace in the world of undertale, this same thing is laughed at and not believed in the world of deltarune. So, chances are it would be way harder to build a robot as complicated as mettaton neo. Especially because it seems that deltarune takes place in the 2000a or 2010s (based on the computers they use, the chalkboard in the classroom, the clothes the characters wear, and also undertale took on as in 201X so I’d this truly is a parallel world then it likely also takes place at that time). Also, in this universe, alphys is a schoolteacher. There’s no such occupation as “royal scientist/inventor”. So there’s nobody to build the body anyways. In a nutshell: mettaton designs his perfect body, forgets about it or buries it deep due to negative feelings about not being able to achieve this, and he never transitions, meanwhile the powerful design he made stays in the computer, old and buried deep underneath all the newer searches and files.

But why would spamton worship this machine in particular? Well the first theory is that the machine is very old. Mettaton is obviously older than Kris (he was much older than frisk and doesn’t go to school with Kris). So it would make sense that by the time Kris gets to the cyber world, mettatons design file is considered very very old to the cyber people. Maybe file she has something to do with power, or maybe spamton assumed it was an ancient relic because of its rusty and decrepit look. I’d guess the second because I think one of the swatchlings has dislogue mentioning that spamton would pray to the machine, and that swatch refers to it as a relic. My second theory is that spamton thought that if he could transfer his consciousness to any other body, his strong would be cut, no matter what form it is. And the only available empty body in the castle was the machine in the basement, so he placed all his bets on that.

And finally my third theory (least likely to be true, I believe the answer is a mix of one and two, but this is my personal favorite) is that mettatons body design was made with freedom in mind. This is something they might have sensed and started worshipping the machine for. After all, for mettaton, that body meant being free to be himself, to express himself, to be who he really is. If queen can sense emotion through searches (she called noelles searches strange and sad and is protective of her due to this), who’s to say spamton can’t? Spamton also mentions the smell of freedom a lot, so it’s possible freedom is smth he can just sense.

WOW THAT WAS A LOT. Alright that should satisfy my “must talk about deltarune to everyone and anyone” urge for the week. A lot of this is super shaky, and a lot of it probably has canon answers I just forgot about. But whatever, I mostly just wanted to ramble about deltarune, no structure just word vomit (plus it’s like super late so I’m kinda tired). Also I’m sorry this post is so spamton centric, I know I said I’d talk about both bosses but jebil really got less words than mettaton of all character lmao. I do live jevil and have a whole other load of opinions and theories about jebil, but it’s late and that writing all that here would only make this essay of a post longer. Also there’s way more information available about spamton (two routes worth of content, lore dumps by almost every character in queens castle and even some outside of the castle like the sweet capn cakes or the addisons, the secrets in the spamtons sweepstakes arg stuff, and you can actually talk to him instead of just fighting him) which makes him easier to talk about.

So already there's a fair assumption that race could be at play in the Leona vs Vil.

Let's start with Leona and Vil because it is easier since it started from Leona and Vil.

One of their points is that Leona "murder" was premeditated.

Vils wasn't:

Leona and Vil "attempted" murder of somebody.

Vil was mentally unstable but he did made the choice to actually commit murder, he would of continue if his friends didn't came along.

Leona did tried to stampede Malleus, but considering Malleus is a well known powerful fae, I believe his intention was to more than to injure Malleus like anyone else.

They did mention how Leona harmed his peers more but honesty both actions would of harmed their school/classmates.

Both would of ruined their and everyone reputation.

One would of been more physically if Malleus were to lash out.

One would of been more mentally and emotionally

Another point or group point they made: Is that Leona treats his peers badly.

Which is up to debate.

Although Leona does Laze around, he does pay Ruggie to do his job. Other than chapter 2 where he commit horrible crimes.

He helped Vil during Fairy Gala, even though he did have a motivation he could of just let someone else do it.

He is shown to care just like Vil

Vil cares about his peers too to the point he will take time out of his day to adjust their clothing.

He can't help but to be critical, that's his love language.

He pays attention to the small things.

He also gets on people outside his dormitory.

tell the truth (part 3)

A/N: it’s all happening. with the band is a love on tour au and in this chapter, anxious izzy and angsty harry clash. it’s a fever breaking and i’d suggest scanning the others before reading.

Izzy heard the stage door click open and slam shut. It was Harry, still in his outfit from his encore, emerald green pants and a matching vest, bare chest, fidgety with weird vibes. Outside the arena, if he wasn’t still strung out, George waited for Izzy in a hotel room on satin sheets. She would go to him... after visiting Tara in the hospital. Izzy wished she were back at the co-op in Texas, lying on the grass. She wished she were back at that first show, listening to that voice for the first time. She couldn’t shake off the day, and everything awful that had happened—the chaotic party, Tara’s overdose—the whole thing was giving Requiem for a Dream or Trainspotting. But it was real. She tried to push down her anger, but it had nowhere to go.

“I can’t do this any more,” Harry said, crossing the pit to Izzy quickly. She could barely hear him over the roar of the fans in the arena. He took his monitors out as he walked. Izzy noticed that his hands were shaking.

“What?” Izzy said, looking around her. Was he talking to someone else?

“God, it’s so loud in here,” Harry said.

“Can you—“ he spun around, shouting toward the booth, “—cut the fans? Cut off the AC, just for a minute.” The fans clicked off, stumbling to a stop. Izzy and Harry stood facing each other in the quiet. A door opened and shut above them; the crew in the booth was gone. They were alone in the arena.

Confetti floated down the floor around them. Izzy was reminded of the last time they were alone in the arena after a show, when Harry taught her to dance—or almost alone, anyway, Lydia was there.

“I can’t do this anymore Izzy,” Harry repeated. “I can’t.”

“Do what, Harry?” Izzy asked. She crossed her arms. He was probably going to complain about driving her everywhere, even though he volunteered. She didn’t have the capacity for his brattiness.

“This,” Harry said. He walked closer to her, stopping about ten feet from her. He gestured at the space between them. “Us.”

His tone was serious. Izzy uncrossed and recrossed her arms, trying to play it off casually. “You’ve already given me a lecture about how I don’t belong here, remember? How I should home? Back in New York?”

“Please don’t pretend,” Harry said. He unfolded his arms. “I know I’m not the only one.”

Izzy’s breath caught in her throat.

“Elisabetta.”

“Harry—tonight isn’t…” Izzy looked at the floor, dotted with confetti, catching sight of her shirt, still splattered with Tara’s blood. “Could we talk about this tomorrow?”

Harry shook his head and sighed. “You’re crawling out of your skin because we’re about to have a real conversation.” He sounded frustrated, and his accent was thicker than usual.

“We’ve had real conversations, Harry.” Izzy remembered the night in the garden at the co-op.

“Sorry,” Harry said. “Sorry.” He took a step forward and ran a hand through his hair, a tuft defiantly flopping back down over his forehead. “I’m trying to say that despite everything...” He exhaled, and started again: “I mean, you’re so nice. And I hate that about you. You’re American, from some tiny place. You’re unemployed, basically—“

“I did have a job,” Izzy sputtered, “I’ve been working—“

“I know, I know. The store,” Harry smiled. He laughed a bit. Izzy felt her anger start to bubble again. “It makes no sense, at all. You’re terrible for publicity, for my reputation. You’re not in the business, and that’s the best thing. You’re not an artist or a musician, you’re not hustling to try to make yourself something, trying to find out who you can use. You’re not trying to be famous. You don’t care about followers—”

“So this is it, then,” Izzy said, wounded. “This is the real conversation you wanted to have, about how I can’t hang, and I’m too basic, I’m not an artist...” She felt her fury swell along with her pain as she processed each insult he had thrown at her. She might start crying. Or yelling. Only Harry seemed capable of hurting her like this.

“No, no,” Harry said, stepping closer to her. “Izzy, I know you know.”

Izzy could only look at him. She held her hands out, confused.

“You’re a nobody, your family sounds awful, and even with all of that,” Harry said emphatically, “even with all of that, I’ve been… You had to have noticed how much pain I’ve been in.”

“I don’t understand,” Izzy said.

“I’m in love with you.”

Izzy thought she must have misheard him. The whole arena felt smaller, suddenly, rows of seats coiled tightly around them; it felt claustrophobic, stuffy, and the temperature was climbing with the fans off.

She waited for Harry to say something, to correct himself, but he only looked at her, with pleading and pained eyes.

Izzy stared at him in disbelief. “What?”

“I’m in love with you,” Harry repeated. “I have been for a while, since New York. Before that, since the rain.”

Izzy stared at Harry. The rain? Her mind seized on the details; she couldn’t face the actual content of his words. Her heart thumped in her chest like a hammer.

“I want to be with you. Stay on the tour, with me.” Izzy flashed on the apartment by the beach, the shiny, perfect apartment George rented for them. On the lease she signed with George just hours ago.

“Harry,” Izzy said, speaking slowly and carefully. Surprising herself, her eyes were wet and her nose had started to tingle; she was tearing up.

She cleared her throat before she could continue. Her whole body felt like it was buzzing with a new static energy. “I’m so sorry. I’m so, so sorry. I’m sorry I hurt you. But I can’t.”

“You can’t?”

“I can’t.”

Harry shifted his weight to his back foot, and he took another step backwards, knocked back as if she had hit him. He balled up his fists and released them. He looked totally shocked.

Anger flashed in his eyes. “That’s your answer? ‘I can’t’?”

“It is.” Izzy blinked back tears; all the anger that had built up all day had boiled up to just under the surface, just underneath her skin.

“But you can, Izzy. You don’t… want to, is that it?” The words were so painful for Harry to say, like shards of glass in his mouth.

“I can’t.”

“Can I ask why you’re being so cold?” Harry said in a clipped voice.

“Only after you explain why you just told me you think you love me despite the fact that my I’m a fuckup and not creative and a nobody who is unemployed and—“

“I didn’t say that exactly—“

“You know it’s not just that!” Izzy heard her voice rising. “Why did you have a photographer follow me and George and Meg and then pay a newspaper to run those photos?”

Harry gulped; he obviously didn’t think this would come up. “It was the best course of action at the time,” he muttered.

“Fucking pardon?” Izzy took a step toward him, seething.

“I did what was best for you, trust me,” he said. “Those photos were way better than the ones published the night before.”

“Meg lost her job! Her boss saw the photos and she got fired.”

“I thought that with her being just, you know, an average person, it wouldn’t really cause—I didn’t think they��d put them on the front page. I was protecting you.” Izzy’s face felt hot; she felt feverish.

“She was unemployed for a month. A month! Not that you would understand basic concerns like that—“ Izzy was almost yelling; she had never spoken this honestly with anyone else. She couldn’t control the words flying out of her mouth.

“You were the one that was supposed to leave the tour after those came out,” Harry said quietly. “I was trying to help you.”

“So you admit it!” Izzy gasped. “You were trying to get rid of me!” What she had suspected all along turned out to be true—and all this time, Harry had pretended to be her friend.

“I told you this before, but you don’t belong with Lydia and that band—we both know what Ryan is about.”

“I don’t belong with my own family?”

“Lydia—we all love Lydia, but thinks she’s Penny Lane and she’s really just a drug addict and you deserve better.”

Izzy’s mouth dropped open in shock. “And you’re better?”

“Thanks for that,” Harry said spitefully, almost spitting. He walked around her, and she spun to face him on the other side. “Now I know how you really feel. Did you honestly expect me to be happy for you, that you were tagging along and doing little stories for Instagram and going on shopping sprees, all wrapped up in Ryan’s bullshit?” He ran a finger along his bottom lip. His hands were twitching with rage.

“God! You’re so sensitive, such an artist, so progressive, but your ego is the size of a fucking planet!”

“You’re a people pleaser and every word out of your mouth is a fucking lie!”  

“The money, the stupid hotel rooms, the overpriced clothes - that was never part of the appeal of being here, and how could you pretend to be protecting me, while attacking my boyfriend?”

“Your boyfriend,” Harry spat. He marched over to Izzy, stopping just inches away from her. His cheeks were flush, lips red. “George can manage ‘imself. Why are you so concerned about him?”

“You know why.”

“Right. You care so much about him.” Izzy could feel Harry’s breath on her face.

“Yes,” Izzy replied defiantly, furious. “I’m going to live here in California with him—

“No, you’re not—“ Harry stepped closer, face lit up with rage.

“—and help him with his new album.”

“You’re not, you’re not. Replace new album with store, and George with mom.”

“Harry, shut the fuck up—” Izzy said, furious.

“You’re back on your bullshit, living for another person. It’s not because you’re in love with him. I know you’re not in love with him.” Every muscle in Harry’s body was tense.

“You can’t know that.”

“I know you.”

That voice.

The silence of the arena tightened around them.

Harry grabbed Izzy’s face and took her waist with his other arm, pulling her close and kissing her suddenly, hard. He tasted like cinnamon and his mouth was hot; Izzy’s whole body was on fire. Her hands flew up to his chest, wrapping around his shoulders. He pushed his tongue into her mouth and wound his hands through her hair, pulling it. Izzy moaned into the kiss. He held her tightly, she could feel his fingertips digging into her waist, gripping her neck; his stubble scratched her cheeks. She pushed the vest off him and ran her hands over his shoulders and down his chest, feeling his heartbeat under pounding in every muscle in his torso. He kissed her deeply; she was so hungry for him and so furious at him, needed him so badly, he was water in a desert. Their hands were frantic, tearing at each other’s clothes and then Izzy was flat against him, kissing him back, their heartbeats thundering together, skin beading with sweat. Harry pulled her shirt over her head, panting, catching her eyes, searching them, briefly: both she and Harry said, I want this. You’re not the only one.

He kissed her again, then kissed down her jawline, sucking the warm skin on her neck into his mouth. Harry pressed his palm to her mound through her underwear and Izzy twitched. She kicked off her pants. Harry swung her knees out from under her and they landed their discarded clothes where he nestled his hips into hers, grinding against her, heavy. Have you ever felt haunted by a fanart you saw but not in bad way but in the Good Way™? I mean you saw the fanart once and every now and then you remind yourself of it's existence and get a thousand of headcanons and AU ideas just by a memory of seeing it?

I just reminded myself of a fanart of SMT x Persona swap AU I reblogged once (idk if I'll be able to find it in this tumblr void with broken search bar but basically smt protags in persona outfits and vice versa) and now I got a thousands of ideas for a similar AU lol

Basically an AU where SMT III- V protags aren't actually a replacement of Persona protagonists like on that swap AU fanart I saw, but actually an addition to the team (while og persona protags are still there too)

Like gosh I have so many headcanons suddenly so here's a little headcanon dump :P (a.k.a the horrors of being both persona and smt fan :D)

Persona hc: My brain says Lucifer (or at least Satan if Lucifer is too OP for someone who wouldn't replace a protag) but my heart says Pixie cause they are still unseparable even in another game :P (jokes on y'all, he's actually a second Wild Card and has them both :P)

Best friend in the team hc: Yusuke for 100%, because I hc V-kun as either as an artist too or musician (pianist) but someone who is close with arts anyways so Yusuke would understand him like no one else. Also Haru because I feel like he'd relate with her experiences as well

School & year & club hc: Since Persona 5 is happening in Tokyo and we have some Phantom Thieves outside of Shujin anyways, I feel like he'd still stay in Jouin High. His club would be either Art Club or Music Club (or perhaps he would be a member of two clubs, therefore quite busy), Third year
