I randomly picked up the first Crescent City book

I went into it completely blind

I didn't expect a thing

And this book fucking destroyed me and put me back together so many times. It spoke to me. To my never ending fear. It made me think. It made me feel. It's so complex

I now googled it and I see it's by the same author as ACOTAR that I see often here on my dash

and like..... I am about to go down a rabbit hole

and I will probably be destroyed

but I'm looking forward to it. It's not every day someone finds an author, a book, this good. Wow.

Question to everyone who read Sarah J. Maas' books:

I want to start reading her series as well, but I'm not sure where to begin. I've read that some characters from the different series cross over so I want to be sure that I don't miss something.

Can I read "Crescent City" (1 and 2) before reading either of the other series?

And can I read "A court of thrones and roses" (the whole series) without reading the "Throne of glass" series first?

I'm generally more interested in the story of ACOTAR and Crescent City than Throne of glass, so I just wanted to know if I can skip this series.
