New Orleans always looked beautiful at night. Shops, restaurants, bars and dance pools were gleaming with bright colors and flashing lights. People were strolling around happily to enjoy the cool breeze and the city nightlife, but they were not aware about the dark side in this world. The world of night, which was full of magic, supernatural creatures and other paranormal beeings. Vampires, werewolves, witches, zombies, faes, trolls, unicorns, shapeshifters, wizards, goblins and whatsoever. After a short walk through the city, Luc entered the Graveyard Shift and discovers the happy faces of the people inside. He was carrying a box which he had to deliver to his client and best friend, Nik Ryder.
"Hey, Luc, over here!!", Alex called out as she saw him entering the bar. She was surrounded by her friends and pointed to a nearby chair where he could sit down to join them. With a grin, he took the invitation and joined the friends group.
"Merci beaucoup, ma chérie.", he casually greeted Alex and handed the blonde nighthunter the package which contained holy light arrows.
"Thanks Luc, but how many time do I have to tell you, not to call Alex chérie?!", Nik, the nighthunter warned his friend. He sure doesn't like if someone starts flirting with Alex or tries to impress her.
"Pourqoui? Nothing's wrong with calling someone ma chérie.", Luc explained and laughed.
"Oui, I agree. Bon soir, mon amies. Mind if I join?", a mysterious woman with a french accent called out. Everyone hestitated at first, but the always friendly Alex welcomed her.
"Merci beaucoup, ma chérie", the woman thanked her and took the seat next to Luc. Her dark brown eyes met his and her red lips curved into smile. She had light brown skin, curly shoulder-length brown hair. Luc's eyes slowly wandered over her whole body. She was wearing a red/fuchsia corseted-blouse, black pants with a black belt and some jewelry.
"Why are you all so quiet, mon amies?", the woman asked.
"Serafine, my friend, it's been centuries!! How are you now and how's Paris?", the fae bartender, Garrus happily greeted her and served her a welcome drink.
"You know her, Garrus?", Katherine asked before taking a sip of her drink.
"That's Serafine Dupont, a vampire from Paris. She and Adrian visited my bar in the 1800s."
"A vampire!!", the gang panicked and quickly striked into a defensive position. Katherine accidently spilled her drink on Vera, while Nik and Cal protectively tried to pull Alex on own their side.
"Let go, Cal, I'll protect Alex. I'm a nighthunter!"
"I can protect her better than you, Nik. I'm stronger!"
While Nik and Cal decide who should protect Alex, Serafine laughed and Garrus explained them not to worry. She's a friendly vampire!
"Oh, sorry. We didn't mean to... Well, the vampires in New Orleans aren't like you aaand...", Vera apologized to her and went to the bar's bathroom to wash off the stain of Katherine's drink on her blouse.
"You're a real vampire? Really?? You don't look like one.", Alex asked. To prove herself, Serafine open her mouth and then two fangs appeared while her eyes turned into a red color.
"WOW, that's sooo cool!! Hi Serafine, I'm Alex and these are my friends, Nik, Katherine, Cal and Luc. And Vera just went to the bathroom.", Alex excitedly squeaked.
And Luc... He couldn't take his eyes off the beautiful French. Serafine felt that. When his gaze landed on her vampire eyes, his cheeks turned into a soft shade of red. She was watching him. But Alex was watching them too.
"Ummm, sooo you're from Paris? Serafine, did you know that Luc loves to speak French all the time and he's the owner of a magical shop. You should definitly check it out if you're here in NOLAS for a while. Hey Luc, why don't you show her?", Alex suggested and gave him a wink. Time to play matchmaker!
"Uhh, I think she rather wants to stay here for a drink..."
"C'est bonne idee, Alex. I would like to see it.", Serafine answered with a smile. Her fangs brushing along her lips.
Tumblr media
Luc lead Serafine to his shop. She stepped inside, gaze skimmimg over several carnival masks, sequined t-shirts and fake skeletons hanging in the wall. While Luc stepped behind the counter, she took a seat next to him. Then, her gaze wandered to the big tattoo on his chest.
"C'est mon magasin de souvenirs, ma chérie. And well... my magic shop is hidden and I don't know if c'est bonne idee to show you. I... I don't know you well enough, sooo...", Luc hestitated.
His magical herbs and supplies shop always stayed hidden from humans and stranger. Only costumers who he trusts were allowed to enter or just take a little peak inside. He doesn't want any magical items land in the wrong hands which he also explained to Serafine who absolutly understood that.
"I understand. I didn't mean to... Je t'aime bien, Luc. Your style and your Français. I want to know you better.", Serafine confessed to Luc who felt the same way. But why is Luc feeling that way too? She's a vampire and vampires are dangerous, but she... she doesn't act like one. She's different than the other vampires he met in New Orleans and, that's what makes her special to him.
"I am just the owner of a tacky souvenir shop with a magical herbs and supplies shop. My mother is one of the strongest witches in town, although she is mostly retired. She taught me how to part the veil, also known as the shroud, which hides the past and future from people, locking them in the present.", he explained.
"So, you're the son of a witch? And you can part the veil?? I am a vampire with psychic abilities, Luc!! I say, we both are something very special.", she said, what made Luc even happier and continued talking. "I was born in what is now Algeria, but got raised in France. I love to travel and was doing it for a long time. I have been to India during the Mughal rule, as well as Moscow and Hong Kong. In the 1800s - a couple of years after the United States Civil War ended, I lived in New Orleans for a few years and there I met your fae friend, Garrus".
"How's your love life, Serafine?", He asked with interest.
"What gives you the idea of me having a love life, Luc? I had former relationships with Adrian, Kamilah and Vlad Tepes and even flirted with Adam Vega. Right now, I am single. What about you?"
"To be honest, I'm a very flirty person, but I'm not in a relationship. I'm single too.", Luc admitted.
Serafine smiled and hesitantly reached out to him by brushing her manicured finger along his arm. Luc stepped closer to her and both felt eachothers breath
"Aren't you scared of me, Luc?", she wispered in his ear.
Luc gently cupped her face and rested his forehead on hers. She gave him a weak smile, one that tore his heart.
"I want us to make love, not war, ma chérie."
"Non Luc, love is like war. Easy to begin but very hard to stop."
Gently, Luc gave her a sweet and kind kiss. But then, Serafine fingers touched his neck and began sucking on his skin, careful about her supernatural instincts and made sure she kept her sharp fangs hidden. A light breathy moan escaped Luc and that satisfied her enough to release her lips. As she pulled away, she stroked his skin she affected and made sure no blood was drawn.
"I may be a vampire, but I won't hurt you and I never would do that.", she assured him.
But Serafine didn't know how long it was before Luc's arms wrapped around her waist. She met his eyes, and her heart stopped at the way he looked at her. He studied her with his dark and stormy eyes, taking in every angle of her face as if she was a treasure. A diamond. His chérie.
"Luc, it was nice meeting you. This means a lot, but I have to leave New Orleans tomorrow morning and head to New York. Adrian and his friends are waiting for me. They need me."
"So this is a goodbye then, ma chérie."
Serafine sadly nodded, but before leaving him alone in his shop, they shared one last kiss. A goodbye kiss.

Fangs For Dinner || Miriam and Winston
Well, if she wasn’t sure of it before, she was sure of it now; Miriam hated cellular phones. They were wretched awful things. Why wouldn’t they work properly? All she wanted to do was pull up the Google so that she could get the number to Al’s. She needed Elle to watch the house that night since she planned on being out hunting, and she promised the girl she’d order her take out. Standing on the street near the police office, Miriam had thought that she’d call the restaurant before she headed over to spare a bit of time. Instead, it looked like she was going to have to order at the counter. “Eleanor Sinclair,” she muttered at the phone, partly knowing that her assistant couldn’t hear her but also unsure as to whether or not she’d hung up properly, “I hope you know the trouble I go through for my assistant.”
Winston fucking loved burgers. They couldn’t explain why. But there was a holy tinge to the fact that there was a combination of meat and cheese that they could devour enclosed in a bun. Winston had been eating at Al’s their entire life and they had decided that they were too lazy to cook that night. As they joined the queue behind a blonde lady, they had to admit that the cacophony of noises and smells that enveloped them every time they entered Al’s was always a pleasure. The blonde in front of them seemed to be struggling with their phone, Winston could already tell that they would be able to help them. But they were off duty and they really didn’t want to, so for the moment they kept their mouth shut and watched. Itching to intervene.
Miriam still hadn’t figured the damn thing out by the time she got to Al’s. At this point, she’d managed to do something, and the screen had just… blanked. It was gone. All she could see was the damned black screen. Oh. That wasn’t good. That wasn’t good at all. Miriam had a good rapport with her assistant, perhaps too good, and she just knew that Elle would laugh at her if she broke another piece of technology. She couldn’t bring back the girl’s burger with a broken phone. Not if she planned to go out hunting tonight without a rather unfortunate sense of embarrassment. Miriam Flemming didn’t do embarrassment. Quickly, she looked behind her. Seeing that there was indeed a person there, Miriam put on her most winning smile. “I’m so sorry to bother you,” she said, “but I’m very new to this… type of cellular phone, and I can’t tell if I’ve killed it or what. Would you possibly be able to help me?”
Sometimes, Winston wondered if their whims could influence the world. It seemed as if they were sometimes able to change the very fabric of things with their wishes. Obviously it wasn’t true and this was just a coincidence, but this was quite the coincidence. “Oh,” Winston looked up and hooked an earbud from their ear, allowing it to hang from the wire around their neck and looking up at Miriam, “I don’t mind helping, do you mind if I take a look at it?” Without waiting for her to agree Winston reached out and gently plucked the phone from her hands before flicking the button on the side and watching it glow to life. “I think your battery died,” they reached into their pocket and pulled out a small portable charger, slipping the lead into the port they watched as the phone glowed to life, “give it a few minutes and that should give you enough juice to get home, then you can charge it up or whatever.”
Miriam sighed in relief, grateful that the problem wasn’t something unfixable. “Right, of course, charging it. It’s been quite the day, that didn’t even occur to me.” With all of the dark, she’d been able to go into the store every single day, which meant that she actually had to be around people every single day. That wasn’t the problem; Miriam was a people person, and there was nothing she loved more than making people love her (except for, of course, causing pain when the mood hit her). The problem was the fact that all the things she usually put off until the end of the week were done, which meant that new problems arose. She was expected to be in the office more, learning about people and making in person connections, and Miriam was no fool. She knew that the ever present night wasn’t liable to last. She was simply dreading the day that the sun decided to come up, and every day that it didn’t, her dread only grew. Still, here was this kind person that helped her with her phone, so perhaps the day wasn’t completely soured. With luck, she’d even have a good hunt. The line for togo orders moved a bit, and Miriam was next. “Here,” she told the stranger with a smile, “go ahead and order. I’ll pay for your food. If you hadn’t helped me, I would have had to ask my assistant for help, and Elle has a penchant for laughing at me when I don’t understand technology, so you’ve really helped me out.”
Raising an eyebrow Winston shrugged a little. Honestly they didn’t really know how people were able to exist in this day and age without being able to competently use technology. The truth was that in this day and age there was really no excuse to not be aware of the fact that your mobile phone needed charging. “Sure, I mean, you should probably get into the habit of plugging it in when you see this icon get really low,” they pointed out the battery in the top right corner, “you can even switch it on so it gives you information on battery percentage if that would help.” And then there was a completely unexpected moment of kindness and Winston was blown away. “Really? I …” they stammered out of shock because after all people didn’t just offer to pay for things for them, Winston wasn’t someone that people bought drinks for or food for, infact usually it was the other way around so this was a welcome treat, “that’s really kind of you but you know that you don’t have to, besides I was kind of going to pig out and,” they didn’t say smoke a joint with my seal housemate buddy and eat a shit load of meat (weed was decriminalised for recreational use in Maine) but it didn’t really sound that great, “I don’t want to cost you a load of money because you borrowed my phone charger you know… so are you sure? No one likes being laughed at so I was happy to help really.”
As the stranger pointed out where the battery on the phone was, Miriam felt both perplexed and sheepish that she hadn’t seen it before. Of course, she knew the damn thing needed to be charged, but she rarely used it, so she just learned to plug it in at night. It usually lasted her through the whole day. Of course, she had been using it a lot more. “Well, you’re quite the lifesaver,” she said. As the stranger mentioned the object of money, Miriam had to laugh. Money? She’d been left with more money than she knew what to do with at times. That’s what happened, of course, when you came from a generations old company of expensive luxury goods. She probably could have gone a couple of decades without working, devoted all of her time to hunting witches, but Miriam liked her job, her company. She wasn’t giving that up just because she had a few million dollars to her name. Conspiratorially, she leaned in a bit, a smirk on her face. “Between the two of us, money isn’t really that much of a problem for me. I’m quite certain I can afford to pay for your ‘pigging out’ as it were. Besides,” and Miriam allowed an actual smile, “you’ve done me a great kindness, and kindness should always be rewarded.”
“I’m sure you’d have managed on your own sooner or later, but I’m glad that I could help avoid the potential humiliation from your assistant,” Winston gave them a slight smile. They got a lot of shit from some of their co-workers. They called them the coffee guy or the kid or whatever and Winston honestly didn’t love it. They didn’t know her but they were always happy to help with a kindred spirit, or a potential kindred spirit. Pausing, Winston shuffled their feet somewhat nervously and swallowed. They never wanted to say no to a free meal. Especially not with the amount that they were planning on spending. “Okay, I really appreciate this and there’s no pressure from me, if you really want to do this then great and if not then please let me know. But I’ll order and then you can tell me if you think it is too much.” They didn’t really give them that much time to reply before smiling. “Hey Cindy,” they said to the girl behind the counter, they were in a few of the same post grad classes together, “please can I have three big boys, can you hold the fries and bun on two of them, then can I get two buckets of chicken, one wings and one popcorn chicken, can I get two beef dripping fried onion rings and can I get some mozarella sticks as well. Thanks.”
Blinking at the sheer amount of food in the order, Miriam waited a second before she started laughing. “My, it sounds like you’re feeding a pack of ravenous werewolves,” she said, taking the stranger in. Small and kind of lanky, and without that lovely wet dog smell, Miriam couldn’t see the stranger being a werewolf, but appearances could be deceiving. Then again, the kid might just be a stoner. Weed seemed to still be in style in this modern world; plus, Miriam had heard that it was legal to smoke dope, now. Whatever the case, it hardly mattered. She walked up behind them and smiled at the girl at the counter, “And, separately but on the same ticket, I would like a cheeseburger with extra pickles with,” she checked the sticky note where Elle had written her order, “crinkle-cut fries.” The girl rang up the total and Miriam handed over her credit card without a second thought. Knowing it would probably take a while for all of their food to be prepared, Miriam turned to the stranger, still trying to figure out if they were a werewolf or not. Most likely not… Most likely. “So,” she said, “are you throwing a party or simply stocking up on food?”
“Uh, sort of,” Winston was getting food for two but Ricky ate a lot with his weird diet. Being a selkie helped with that. “Obviously not a literal pack of werewolves, because you know, they’re not real.” Winston gave a nervous laugh. “But my roommate is like super into fitness and apparently this is his cheat day so he gave me a big order and asked me to make sure that I got larges of everything. I’ll probably make it through one of the burgers and half of the fries before I fall into the deepest food coma that anyone has ever experienced.” They shrugged. “My roommate will probably clear up most of the rest and if not I’ve got left overs so i don’t have to cook, so I can’t really complain you know.” They smiled gently at their peer before turning to the lady with phone trouble. “I really appreciate you paying for this, if you ever need help with your phone or anything please let me know, I’m actually kinda good with this stuff so if I can’t help I can at least pass you to someone else that can, but any issues let me know, my way of saying thanks.”
The way that the stranger reacted to werewolves gave Miriam a pause. Interesting. “Oh, no, of course they’re not. A joke, you know.” But the story did make sense. She’d seen how much young men that went to the gym could eat, so, if it really was their roommate’s cheat day, this didn’t seem to be too much of a stretch to get that much food. “Well, your roommate is very lucky to have a friend that will go through all of this trouble to get them something to eat.” At the thought of making another contact in town, someone who actually knew something about technology, Miriam brightened up. “You’re an absolute lifesaver! I’m afraid I just might have to take you up on that offer as well. I’m horribly out of my element with most technology.” She pulled a piece of paper out of her purse. “Could I have your name and phone number? As a way to contact you should things go awry?”
It didn’t take a genius to know that they shouldn’t have made the joke about Werewolves being not real. Winston should’ve known better but they were still somewhat thrown when something like that happened. Trying to walk the fine line between openly discussing the supernatural and not appearing entirely insane was not exactly something that Winston excelled at. “Oh, obviously, I was joking … too.” Winston swallowed. Is that what they really meant? No. But it wasn’t something that they were about to admit to at this point. They just hoped that this wouldn’t be noticed by her. “I mean, we kind of alternate, and I was working and this is on the way home so it makes sense…” they shrugged, they’d never given it much though. Winston raised an eyebrow at the piece of paper and quickly scribbled their details on it. “If you want, you could give me your name and number and I can then call you and then you can just make a contact for me in your phone and if you ever need anything it’s all in one safe place, y’know?” They paused for a moment. “I’m Winston by the way,” they said flipping the paper over and pointing at their name, “Winston Dane.”
“Well, it’s still very kind of you to pick up food, and that you both alternate. Not all roommates get along so well.” Not that Miriam would know. She’d never exactly done the “roommate” thing. Unless you counted marriage. She pocketed the piece of paper with WInston’s information on it. “It’s lovely to meet you, WInston. Here, my number is xxx-xxx-xxxx.” She said the numbers slowly, glad that she’d memorized the number. Some might not think it necessary, what with technology making it so easy to just look up your number with the click of a button, but Miriam thought it important to always have her personal information locked up in her head. “And my name is Miriam. Miriam Flemming. Though, most people call me Miri or Mim.”
“I guess, my room mate is a really good guy, I get a really sweet deal and Ricky doesn’t have to give me so sweet of a deal, if that makes sense. But I really appreciate it and we’ve become very good friends which is nice.” Winston wasn’t sure why they were being so open about their living situation but there it was. Winston quickly tapped in their number before pressing call, allowing it to ring three times and hanging up before she could accept the call. Swallowing gently, Winston looked up at her and felt sweat bead around their scalp. Giving her a nervous smile, Winston swallowed and reached up to fiddle with their glasses. “It’s lovely to meet you too … Miriam, is there something you prefer? Like Miri or Mim or is it like Miri and Mim because you don’t really care….?” They were sweating. This was her. This was Miriam. This was the person Nell and Morgan was worried about. Did that mean she knew? She couldn’t know. Only four, maybe five people knew what Winston was but if they weren’t careful that could change.
Miriam wasn’t expecting the sudden nervousness for Winston to go through. She watched perspiration collect around their hairline with her head cocked gently. Perhaps Winston had simply just realized how pretty she was. That did tend to happen, on occasion. Miriam had that kind of effect on people. She gave a gentle smile. “Either is fine darling. Miriam is a bit old-fashioned, though, so I rarely even use it in professional circumstances. Those that I work with just call me Miri or Ms. Flemming. Though, most,” her smile widened a bit as she thought of Morgan, of teasing the other woman both in person and over the internet, “call me Mim. Short, sweet, and to the point, don’t you think?”
Raising an eyebrow gently, Winston wrestled with a combination of anxiety and existential dread that was settling in their chest. But they were determined to make it out of this. Maybe they could use some of this information to help someone come up with some way of stopping Miriam before she killed again. She seemed nice enough, but Winston knew better. They had been warned. “Sure, Mim it is, I think Ms Flemming might be a bit weird, you’re not my teacher or … anything.” They’d been about to make a sex joke and then they’d remembered three things. She could probably hamstring them with their pinky, she was way hotter then she had any right to be and three she killed witches, wizards and mages for fun. Not Winston’s idea of fun. “You can just call me Winston, people sometimes call me Win … but never Stone…” they frowned unsure why they were diverting to their own name, they needed to get their food and get out of here before they accidentally used magic or something.
Winston was a very nervous creature, Miriam decided, but harmless overall, and very sweet. Those were her favorite kinds of people, sweet and harmless. “Yes, Ms. Flemming would be very strange. I rarely feel old enough to be a Ms.” Much less a Mrs., but she’d been one of those, too. “Mim it is. And I’ll stick with calling you WInston for now. Perhaps we can work our way up to Win?” The nickname seemed to make them uncomfortable. Perhaps public interactions were what made them so nervous. How quaint. Just then, an employee came out of the back with their many bags of food. “Wonderful. Well, Winston Dane. It was so very lovely to meet you, but I have to get this back to my house before I go out for the night. If I need technology help, I’ll certainly be in touch. And I promise to pay handsomely, and not just in food next time.” With a wink, Miriam picked up Elle’s take out, giving WInston a pat on the shoulder as she walked by.
“Which is kind of weird because Ms. is just meant to be a term for someone who is a woman right, like doesn’t matter if you’re married or not, so irrespective of your age it shouldn’t make you feel old. But obviously because no one uses honorifics anymore it does.” Winston realised that once again they were motor mouthing and they decided that they were going to shut the hell up again. “We can try if you want, but honestly I’m not really bothered about what you call me as long as I know that it is addressed to me.” There was a moment of relief as Winston heard someone call out their order and hand over some bags of food. “Thank you for this again, and if you get stuck with the tech just text me or call, you don’t have to pay, if you came down to the police station I would be doing this stuff for free anyway so I wouldn’t charge you.” They weren’t sure why they were telling someone who might well kill them that they should contact them if they ever needed help.

Welcome to the middle ages of the XXI century
In the first half of the 14th century, Europe was gripped by the"black death". Drowning in prejudice and ignorance, the cradle of enlightenment quickly found the culprits. Witches and wizards burned with a blue flame, then the black cats got. The Jews also got a lot of money. When in the 1320s in Anjou, one of the Jews allegedly found a letter with proof of a plot against Christians, from the German lands to Gibraltar swept a monstrous wave of lynching of Jews, then looters stole their property. In some regions, the authorities have officially decided to exterminate Jews as a kind of prevention against the plague.
During the plague epidemic of the 1770s, which came to the capital of our country from the Northern black sea region during the Russian-Turkish war, a riot broke out. Archbishop Ambrose of Moscow, well aware of the danger, forbade prayers at the Bogolyubsky icon Of the mother of God, which was considered healing. Ambrose even started collecting donations for the treatment of patients. But the maddened mob beat the Archbishop to death.
It would seem that this is not true for a long time. But looking at the behavior of humanity, it is even more ridiculous to ask the question: what conclusions will humanity draw? In General, none, except for a monstrous scale of vanity. The brave new world of the end of the history of Fukuyama came, and then suddenly such an unexpected natural (natural?) a gift in the form of a coronavirus. And it began…
The conscience deficit pandemic in the " new Europe»
In Europe, due to hysteria in the media, a real hunt for medical masks has begun. In Poland, a batch of 23 thousand medical masks intended for doctors in the Lazio region in Italy was blocked. While the bureaucratic obstacles were trying to be removed, the Italians accused the poles of stealing medical cargo, which is also difficult to call humanitarian, because it was fully paid for by Italy.
A little later, after the sad Czech and Polish experience, the Italian authorities, importing medical masks, decided to bring them through the port of Rotterdam. However, when the cargo arrived in Rotterdam and the German distributor unloaded it for delivery to Italy, the Berlin authorities requisitioned it.
As you know, French Guiana is home to the Kourou spaceport, which is jointly operated by the European space Agency and the French National center for space research, with all the necessary infrastructure. So, from this very infrastructure, or rather, from the warehouse, unknown persons managed to steal 40 thousand medical masks. The mode of the object did not affect the theft process in any way.
The US is also keeping up with Western trends. So, if someone can order medical drugs or protective equipment from abroad, then most likely, the "cradle" of the sanctity of private property and an open free market will take your purchase immediately upon arrival on the territory of the country.
New Sanzhary was only training
But our Ukrainian neighbors went the farthest, for whom the shameful incident in the style of "burn the witch" in Novy Sanzhary was, apparently, just a training session. Baiting people who are suspected of being infected, hunting for medicines, fighting on public transport are just the backdrop for much Wilder things. So, in the Ternopil region, the body of a 68-year-old man who died from coronavirus was Packed by doctors in garbage bags and thrown out on the street. Details were later told by the daughter of the deceased, Anna Polishchuk, who was stunned by the horror. According to her, the doctors threw the lifeless man out into the street, closed the doors of the hospital, and relatives without protection had to carry the man in a bag to the car and even drag him on the ground.
"Crown, crown!"- children shouted and threw stones
But all the wild things from the West are somewhat refined. No" good old " bonfires, street fighting, at least not yet. But the so-called developing countries have gone disproportionately further. Petty theft and speculation, of course, are included in their "menu", but the citizens of these countries did not have time to swim in the fat of a good life.
After the coronavirus hit India, the Indians launched a real persecution of tourists, including those from Russia, who were on the territory of the country. Tourists, these" cash cows", suddenly became objects of universal hatred. Tourists are thrown out of hotels, the local population, seeing foreigners, reacts very aggressively, and the authorities are in no hurry to stop these actions. And in some regions of the country, the authorities not only condone this, but issue official instructions to expel tourists from hotels.
There were more frequent cases when Indian citizens shouted" crown, crown " and spat at foreigners or threw stones and sticks at them. In this case, the country is completely closed. The movement of trains, buses and even a taxi suspended. Indian States overlap the internal border. On the streets of some Indian cities, the police and voluntary "vigilantes" restore order, so there have been cases of law enforcement officers attacking "whites" who tried to buy food or escape from the closed country.
It comes to ridiculous tragicomic situations. So, some tourists who decided to gather in India ancient refined wisdom, as is now fashionable among a specific public with a pierced nose and a tattoo on half of the body, were blocked in ashrams-the abodes of thinkers and philosophers. The Indian sages, no less wisely, told their "disciples" that if they went out into the street, they would not be allowed back in. This means that, at the risk of not getting to the airport, the "enlightened" will find themselves without housing, since almost all hotels are closed.
In Thailand, which has served as a tourist Mecca for many years, the coronavirus has also forced authorities to impose a strict quarantine. Closed cafes, restaurants, numerous clubs, shopping centers, etc. But shapeless herds of infantile tourists, sweetly cherishing their own egoism, continue to gather together to once again arrange a feast during the plague on the picturesque beaches. The local police did not hesitate to disperse such gatherings with batons. Not too happy and the locals and, oddly enough, the primates that tourists fed. Now macaques literally attack passers-by, demanding food. It is difficult to say what is more wild in this…
When did people start going wild?
It would seem that the outbreak of aggressive inadequacy, theft and selfish betrayal of former "brothers in the free world" is entirely due to the panic over the coronavirus, fueled by the media. But this is only one side of the coin, so to speak, too superficial a judgment. One outbreak, for all its scale and fueled by the press, could not lead to such individualization of both countries and individual areas, as well as specific individuals.
There is a strong impression that at some civilizational moment we simply turned somewhere wrong. In order to increase the desperate race of consumption of goods and services, humanity was able to convince of the sanctity and inviolability of the right of eternal hedonism and gluttony at the highest level. Kilotons and terabytes of advertising convinced individuals that they were worthy, and that was all for them.
Society in this construction lost all meaning and even importance for the individual engaged in constant consumption of the final product. Moreover, individuals, considering themselves strong and independent, began to hate and despise this very society quietly, and sometimes loudly. This was especially the case for such a social formation as the state, which owed absolutely everything to free individuals until their death.
The author does not have any sympathy for the pleasure-hungry tourists who, despite such a difficult time, rushed over the cordon, buying cheap last-minute tours. Especially to those tourists who, under the guise of learning the culture and "wisdom" of other countries, only tease their egos, following the fashion and separating themselves from the short and non-progressive, in their opinion, society. And it's not even a lack of personal responsibility, but selfishness. After all, they did not even think about the danger they could pose to society upon their return. Why should they? After all, these progressive individuals despise society.
And now the countries are closing. And the infantile howl of people who realized themselves as citizens and part of society so timely for themselves, announced the information field. The paradox is that society cannot turn away from such people, because this will lead to its own devaluation. But it is not only possible to draw proper conclusions about the depravity of educating people in such a parasitic consumer approach to life itself, but it was necessary yesterday. And all this applies not only to tourists, but also to those who only yesterday earned money from them, those who now speculate in masks, those who are engaged in information and political speculation…
In this light, there has been no civilizational leap since the middle Ages. The realization of this, however, is buried in large-scale advertising campaigns, when politicians after another terrorist attack took up their pens and sang: "We are the world" or "We are not afraid".

The Wild Child Of “Come From Away”
Logo: New Now Next [April 3, 2017]
Jenn Colella, one of Broadway’s few out leading ladies, talks playing a real-life hero, making out with Idina Menzel, and lesbians in open relationships.
On September 11, 2001, after terrorists flew jets into the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, authorities closed United States airspace to all air traffic. In the remote Canadian town of Gander, Newfoundland, 38 passenger jets suddenly landed on the airstrip, and were grounded until further notice.
Instead of treating them as intruders, the town opened its homes and hearts to 7,000 strangers from all over the world. By the time the visitors departed, cultures had come together and lifelong friendships had formed.
The hit musical Come From Away tells this sprawling story with a foot-stomping Celtic band and a dozen versatile actors portraying some 50 real-life characters, many of whom flew in from Newfoundland to dance onstage with the actors on opening night.
The show packs a political punch at this ungenerous moment in America—a point that hung in the air when Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau invited Donald Trump to attend a recent performance. (The President declined but sent Ivanka.) Critics took the musical’s subtext to heart. The Washington Post called it “an exuberant antidote for what ails the American soul.”
For extra exuberance, there’s star Jenn Colella, one of Broadway’s few out lesbian leading ladies. In Come From Away, Colella sings her heart out as real-life pilot Beverley Bass, one of the pilots who landed at Gander on 9/11. But Colella, 43, been attracting fangirls ever since she rode a mechanical bull in Urban Cowboy, rocked the butch title role in The Beebo Brinker Chronicles, and played one-half of a lesbian couple in If/Then.
On the phone in her dressing room before a recent performance, with her girlfriend chiming in, Colella told us about her life as an irresistible wild child, from her current relationship à trois to the occasional makeout session with Idina Menzel.
How would you describe the story of Come From Away?
Jen Colella: For me, it’s about welcoming people because they need help. I don’t know where we got away from the habit of being kind, but kindness and compassion is where we live. We all have access to it, and it requires practice.
How was it for the cast when Justin Trudeau and Ivanka Trump came to the show? How was it for you?
It was extraordinary to have them here, and have them together. People are drawn to this show who know that everyone is good at heart, people who are drawn to a sort of kindness movement that’s in the air right now. Justin knows that’s the best possible way to lead people, and I believe Ivanka does as well, or else she wouldn’t have joined.
Did you speak with Ivanka?
We didn’t. It was Justin’s night. He made a speech before, and I believe Ivanka ducked out a little early out of respect, so as not to take anything away from him. But the show is direct address–we can see the audience very clearly. She was truly enjoying herself and smiling and laughing and crying and was really in it, so I know she had a good time.
You play Captain Beverley Bass, who blazed her own trails as the first female captain for American Airlines. She seems like the most clearly defined hero in Come From Away. How did you two meet?
After our final preview [at La Jolla Playhouse], Beverley and her husband Tom arrived at a restaurant across the street. We spotted one another from across the room. She came over and said, “I think you’re playing me,” and I said, “I think you’re right!” I’m so grateful that they’ve chosen me to play this badass pioneer for women. I feel the privilege and responsibility of it.
Like all the actors, you play several characters in Come From Away. Aside from Captain Beverley, you play this enchantingly gay-looking woman in a T-shirt and vest. Was my gaydar going off correctly with that character, or is she just Canadian?
She’s just Canadian! Actually that character, Annette, is quite male-crazy. She likes the men that come off these planes. But I have faith that Annette would be open to women as well. I’m going to throw that into the show tonight and see how it plays.
I was googling you, and the first thing I saw was this hashtag: #jennfuckingcolella. Do you have lesbian fangirls?
I do, and it feels so good! Everybody’s respectful, but, yes, to receive that kind of energy from women fuels me. It feels, again, like a privilege and a responsibility. And I’m so thrilled that I’m out and the age that I am, and I feel confident and capable to be a good role model for gay women.
How do women reach out to you?
Some fans will see shows many, many times. I have one awesome fan—I don’t know if these people are even gay, to tell you the truth—but one girl has my signature tattooed over her heart.
I’d say that’s a clue.
She hasn’t come out to me, you know? So I don’t want to assume. But I get a lot of baked goods, sweet cards, flowers. Chicks are so good at gifts, right? I ride a scooter around town, because I’m like a 12-year-old, and one of my fans actually presented me with a new scooter. Yeah, they mean it. It’s awesome.
Let’s go back to the tattoo: Did you autograph her chest and then she went and got the autograph tattooed?
She’d seen If/Then many, many times. She said, “Hey, will you sign this piece of paper for me?” I did, and then later she came back and showed me her tattoo. Isn’t that awesome?
You sometimes subbed in for Idina Menzel as the lead in If/Then. What was that like?
Idina is an amazing person, and super sweet and fun. She and I like to flirt a lot. We made out a couple of times, which was super, super hot and fun. I like to tell as many people that as possible. Great kisser.
How exactly did that come to pass?
The best part is, my girlfriend is in the dressing room with me right now, and she keeps looking up and giving me these like sexy little smiles. Anyway, Idina’s straight—mostly—in the way that I’m mostly gay. And I would just wear her down at parties, just walk by and say, “We should make out.” Just trying to constantly put little seeds into her beautiful brain. She took me up on it once or twice.
Aside from making out, did you and Idina ever sing together?
Onstage, we had many opportunities to sing together, and that voice is just inimitable.
As is yours. In fact, speaking of Idina’s great roles, did you ever do Elphaba the witch, in Wicked?
People are always asking me that! I finally had to tell them to stop asking me to come in, because I am terrified that I would lose my mind and my voice. I’m going to leave that to those professional belters and try to save this loud-ass belt that I’ve got for as long as possible.
Although it would be really cool to do a gay Elphaba.
I hear you. I hadn’t thought about that. You know what, though, I want to play Bobby in Company. [A 2016 London production reversed genders to feature a woman in the famous leading role of a commitment-phobic bachelor and the loves of his New York circle of friends.]
Your girlfriend’s listening in, so she’ll appreciate this. What kind of woman is attractive to you? Do you have a type?
I like people who are balanced in their masculine and feminine energies. I like girly girls who aren’t afraid to wear ripped jeans and play in the mud. I joked when my girlfriend got here, “You dressed like a little dyke for me today!” She’s wearing ripped jeans and her big belt and a cut Women’s March t-shirt. Yeah! Then as I’m getting older, I realize that what I find sexy is someone who’s smart and kind and funny. I’m attracted to the whole world, is the truth.
Any quality in a woman that’s a deal breaker for you?
Yeah. An unawareness, right? If someone treats a server unkindly—snaps at a server, or anyone in the service industry—that is such a deal breaker for me. I can’t.
Does your girlfriend like seeing you in uniform as Captain Beverley onstage?
[She repeats the question to her girlfriend.] She likes seeing me in everything.
I was going to ask you about starring in The Beebo Brinker Chronicles [the 2008 Off-Broadway adaptation of Ann Bannon’s iconic novels of lesbians before Stonewall]. Has anyone ever talked about filming it?
Lily Tomlin was one of our producers on that play, and she and Jane Wagner talked about possibly filming it during that time, but I haven’t heard any more about it. So, yeah, we can put that back out in the universe as well.
Definitely. Those lesbian pulp paperback days were very sexy.
True. That was one of the sexiest shows I’ve ever worked on. It was fun to be the butch lesbian that all the girls were swooning over.
Not that different from your real life, is it?
[Laughing] It was fun to have that as my job.
I know I’m asking in front of your girlfriend, but do you see yourself in the future marrying and quote unquote settling down? Are you interested in kids?
I’ve been married a couple of times.
To women?
Yeah. My joke is, chicks love it when you propose. I had two wonderful marriages, and I’m a big fan of the institution of marriage if it is truly an equal partnership. But my girlfriend and I are in an open relationship, and that feels really lovely and right for me right now.
So you’re both seeing other people?
She’s actually married to a man. I’m kind of dating them both. They have a little kid whom I adore. And I’m also dating someone else, and, you know, my girlfriend just got on OKCupid, and it’s all very open. There’s a lot of respect and a lot of communication and a lot of trust. It’s quite lovely.
Usually lesbians can’t do that, at least the lesbians I know. Gay men can stay together 50 years, and they manage to keep their exterior lives very hot and vital and yet preserve these lasting relationships. What’s different about you that you can do that?
What I’ve found is that if women are intimate with one another, there’s such an emotional connection that happens. That’s what can be scary for the primary partner: If you have an emotional connection with someone else, how is there going to be any room left for me? But our hearts are much more open and capacious than we give them credit for. There’s no better or best in my world of love. I have boundless love. So the more I can trust myself and love myself, and trust and love my partners, then I’m finding there’s an infinite amount to explore.

The Provençal harbor town of La Ciotat is bordered by the mighty seascapes of the Calanques National Park.
The town also has a more calm side, where there is a string of welcoming sandy beaches. And for an idea of how Provençal La Ciotat is, they even wrote the rules on the iconic game of pétanque here. And that's not the only pride of the town, as this is a summer home for the pioneers in the movie Lumière Brothers. They filmed one of their first films at La Ciotat and the theater where they screened it still shows movies to this day. Discover the best to do at La Ciotat.
[toc]
1. Calanque de Figuerolles
Just around Cap deigle and in the national park is this narrow cave that cuts deep into the coast. There is a small rocky beach at the end and the sparkling transparent water will call you to swim.
If you’re with young ones they’ll be able to paddle in safety here, as the beach shelves low and the sea is smoothed by a large rock at the mouth of the creek. This being a Calanque, the walls are high and rugged, and here they’re formed of a strange puddingstone.
On the beach, you will have a constant view of the bizarre Rocher du Capucin emerging from the west.
2. Île Verte
There is a shuttle from the port of La Ciotat, to the island within the boundaries of the national park. Taking the ferry will take 15 minutes and drop you off at an unpopular beauty spot, Calanque Saint-Pierre, where there's a beach served by a restaurant.
Many visitors cannot pass through this paradise place. But if you want to see more there’s a sinuous trail around the coast bringing you to two other beaches as well as Calanques that plummet to the sea.
At the highest point of the island is Fort Saint-Pierre, here since the 1600s but strengthened by the Germans in the Second World War.
3. Old Port
The old port of La Ciotat, close to most people, the concept of coastal Provençe: Water boats with private yachts and fishing boats, and under the shaded houses on the docks are rows of cafes and restaurant.
In the evening, there's a fun and cheerful atmosphere, and you can stroll around a bar on the Quai Ganteaume to see the sun setting behind the Cap of Stone. In the east, you can continue along the harbor wall until you reach Mole Bérouard, the 19th-century lighthouse and the last fragment of La Ciotat.
4. Parc du Mugel
This botanic park begins at the port and is dominated by the enormous rock at Cap d’Aigle, powering up to 155 meters. There is a dual attraction to this place, as for the first time, you have a lovely garden arranged with cacti, roses, a palm plantation, and an orange.
And then, there is a nature reserve, making small creeks of the coast here and the forest and witches migrating to the huge rock in the south. You can ramble through the forest with chestnuts, Aleppo pines, holm and cork oaks, carob and laurel trees and stop at the belvedere to survey the Île Verte.
5. La Ciotat’s Beaches
The Calanques are great for their supernatural rocks and shimmering seas, but on other days you may be in the mood for soft sand and a few more luxuries. Artificial beaches start just north of the harbor and arc around the bay in a series of small horseshoes protected by breakwaters.
Each one has its own purpose: There’s a beach where smoking is banned (Plage Lumière), one where people can bring animals and one equipped for wheelchairs. And at everyone, the sea is irresistibly clear and shallow.
Behind there’s a long promenade under stone pines with bar and restaurant seating at close intervals.
6. Chapelle Notre-Dame de la Garde
In the summer, you can venture into the national park to visit this 17th-century chapel, sit on the water and watch the heart through La Ciotat Bay.
The chapel was built in 1610 and its altar features a magnificent gilded oak sculpture of Notre-Dame de la Garde from 1630. Sailors will come to pray before leaving and leaving. votes, and then, they will enlarge the huge rock behind to check the horizon and conditions before departure.
This terrain is engraved with 80 steps, and in the evening you can climb and sit watching the sunset.
7. Musée Ciotaden
In the former town hall is the town’s museum, which has 15 rooms and 1,500 objects, so you can investigate many threads of La Ciotat’s story.
The most intriguing exhibits come from the turn of the century when Lumière Brothers filmed one of their first films at the train station in La Ciotat in 1895. A little later, around 1910, the game Pétanque was invented in this town and is now commonplace all over France, especially in the south.
You can go further back and see the artifacts left by ancient mariners and learn about the Genoese families that settled here in the 15th century.
8. Église Notre-Dame-de-l’Assomption
La Ciotat's largest church, bringing some gravitas to the riverbank at Quai Ganteaume. It was beautiful at night when the tall walls were lit and reflected in the water. The church was built at the start of the 17th century and has a restrained Romanesque revival style, without much embellishment.
The stone for the facade, including the intricately carved southern gate, comes from ancient quarries at La Couronne near Marseille. Inside inspects the choir furniture, carved from walnut wood in 1649, and the high marble altar, carved by a marble mason in Marseille in the 1700s.
9. L’Eden Théâtre
The world's oldest operating movie theater reopened in 2013 after a long refurbishment. That film showed a steam train pulling into La Ciotat’s station and is claimed to have sent some viewers running from the hall in terror.
The cinema is closed up during the day, so the best way to see the interior is to do what people have been doing for 120 years here and watch a movie!
10. Chapelle des Pénitents Bleus
La Ciotat is scattered with little chapels, and the last on this list is one of the most handsome buildings in the town. It was erected in 1626 in the Baroque style at a time when anti-revolutionary sentiments were increasing in France after the Religious War.
The Roman community will come to worship at the chapel, and there are a few things to keep your attention on, such as the gutters above the windows, octagonal bells and beautiful wall sculptures. Today, the chapel is a stately gallery for local artists.

Dark Nights Metal #2
Batman has stolen the most dangerous weapon in the universe, and the Justice League give chase. Meanwhile, the council of Immortals plan to find a way to kill Barbatos before his cult can summon them through Batman.
They may be too late.
There’s this saying in storytelling that you should start a scene 5 seconds into things so that your action has a running start. This issue exemplifies that perfectly, starting with Batman already having outsmarted the League, and baiting them with decoys upon decoys. It’s a genius way to remind us just how well prepared Batman really is without much actual set-up. And watching the League essentially open boxes within boxes until they reach the crunchy Batman center pays off like gangbusters.
And when Superman and Wonder Woman eventually do catch up with Bruce, the reveal is one of the best sight gags in comics history. Highlight below if you really need spoilers: Baby Darkseid in a baby bjorn 😀
And in the final pages of the issue, the shit hits the fan, and the real Dark Souls Nights Metal begins.
  Mister Miracle #2
Scott and Barda lead many successful campaigns against Darkseid’s forces, but none of it earns any respect from the new Highfather – Orion.
Instead, Orion sends Scott and Barda on a new mission – to kill Granny Goodness, the woman that tortured them through their childhood, while pretending to negotiate a treaty. But a half received message from Metron casts doubts on which side Scott should be fighting for.
Another great issue that probably couldn’t turn any more upside down than it does. The issue goes through stages: exhaustion by the endless warfare, then an unease while in Orion’s court as he compels his brother to bow to him, and finally uncertainty when Scott and Barda are “graciously” welcomed by Granny. You would think that GG would be the creepiest part of the issue, especially considering the reunion of abuser and abused, but she has nothing on Orion’s massive egotrip.
Luckily, King is skillful enough to break up the discomfort of the issue with one sweet, and incredibly relatable, scene of Scott and Barda trying to figure out how showers on New Genesis are supposed to work. Part of that sweetness is soured when it’s implied that one of Barda’s continuing insecurities was seeded by GG, and that GG knows it; but it’s the initial thought that counts, right?
Right now, Mister Miracle is an almost Hamlet-esque family drama above everything else – a deadly and divine Thanksgiving; and its completely gripping.
  The Flash #30
Infected by the black suit Negative Speed Force, Barry finally snaps at Singh and his fellow crime lab workers after they chastise him for investigating the missing samples alone. Luckily, Kristen won’t be pushed away so easily, and manages to talk him down in private, which leads Barry to a break in the investigation, which he follows up on as the Flash. Waiting for him is the thief, but he’s more than Flash bargained for.
I love everything about this issue. It’s just classic comics. Negative influenced Barry finally reaches his breaking point and angsts out in front of everybody! And then we get a new villain using a classic formula: after experimenting on himself, Bloodwork manages to turn his hemophilia into a psychic control over all blood. So good!
The Flash is on a roll right now, largely going back to superhero fundamentals, and knocking them out of the park.
  Wonder Woman #30
After being persuaded to be part of Hamilton Revere’s experiments to use her blood in regular people, Wonder Woman is told that he plans to use it to make super soldiers, not cure diseases. Realizing she’s been duped, Wonder Woman rescinds her help. And, realizing Diana has been led into a trap, Steve and Etta make their way towards rescuing her.
Following Fontana’s pattern so far, the prolonged fight scene in this issue is better than everything that comes after it. Diana’s running monologue where she says she will be a hero for humanity, but not a weapon, really works for her character, especially as she fights off partial Wonder-ized super soldiers working under Revere’s orders to – quite literally – bleed her dry. Wonder Woman will not be made an object.
But, the issues quality takes a sharp downturn almost immediately after the villain’s base explodes. It’s almost as though there were two writers on this book, it’s that drastic. Thankfully, it’s only for three pages, but it’s a sour note to leave this story, and this creative team, on.
  Amazing Spider-Man #32
Defeated, Norman Osborn searches once again to re-awake the Goblin inside himself, a search that leads him to the Temple With No Name, high in the Himalayas, to begin studying the arcane arts.
This is a one-shot, and a relatively insignificant one, all things considered, but a fine enough story in and of itself. I love the art of Smallwood and Bellaire, fresh off their run with Rucka on Moon Knight, and that meta-reference also is a small hint towards how this story winds-up.
But, honestly, Osborn isn’t as compelling a character as Slott would like him to be in this issue, and acknowledging that the story is similar to those of other magic users in the Marvel Universe isn’t an excuse for the lack of anything novel in this telling.
  Ms. Marvel #22
Just having found out that Jersey’s newest villain is one of her school friends, and revealing her own secret identity as a way to reach him, Ms. Marvel is just barely able to escape from Lockdown. Totally exhausted, and opposed by half the city, Kamala is lucky that the other half has her back, and also, that she’s friends with a teleporting dog.
Between this and Black Bolt, Lockjaw is in the running to be this month’s Marvel MVP. The rest of the issue is fantastic, too, demonstrating the power of a community to rise up against the parts of it that would destroy them from within. More heroic than Kamala are Nakia and Tyesha, who lead a march to the mosque where KIND has their kidnapped inhumans surrounded, and present them with a document from the court proclaiming their actions to be illegal. She’s also backed up by the rare good cop, and recently former mayor Marchesi.
After a quick refueling at a friendly neighborhood Mediterranean restaurant, Ms. Marvel hops back into the fray, but in this issue, the day is truly won by the people, whom, united, can never be defeated.
  Unbeatable Squirrel Girl #24
Ultron is a T-Rex now! That’s all you need! Also, Squirrel Girl teams up with Antonio the Doombot to try and stop Ultron, who is a T-Rex now.
Henderson and Renzi do some neat things with Ultron’s iconic face-lights cutting through the darkness in the beginning of the issue, and it’s almost a shame they don’t keep it up longer. But, almost as quickly as they finish doing that, North introduces us to Antonio the Doombot, who continues this series’ tradition of scene-stealing robots; although Ultron doesn’t let Antonio do so easily.
  Kill or Be Killed #12
After killing the guy who threatened Kira, Dylan realizes that if he really wants his newly improved relationship with Kira to last, he’s going to have to bring down the entire Russian mob before they can harm her or himself.
What strikes me most about this issue is the contrast between happy Dylan and vengeful Dylan. On Halloween, Dylan realizes that every moment he gets to spend with Kira is a miracle, and joyously wonders the city with her until they settle into each-other’s arms at the end of the night.
But then he’s consumed by vengeful Dylan, who compels him to stake-out a Russian Mafioso until he can lead him to his boss and tell him everything he knows before killing him in cold blood. He ruminates on how he’s learned to ignore his fear response because he’s realized that he’s not the first or only murderer among humanity. He’s ruthless, calculating, and single-minded. And you being to wonder how these two Dylans could possibly be the same person.
  Redlands #2
OK, this series is going in a very different direction than I expected. Having successfully liberated the town of Redlands, Florida; Bridget, Alice, and Ro became the new police force. Their latest case is chasing “Redbrant,” an “artist” murderer who poses his victims in symbolic positions while stuffing their bodies with alchemically treated rose-petals, and paints solid red canvases with their blood. Moreover, he knows about Bridget, Alice, and Ro’s witchcraft, and wants to expose them to the world.
If this series decides to settle into Witch Law & Order, I am totally here for that if this issue is any indication of how that would pan out. But Bellare has also clearly built a much deeper world with Redlands, full of – besides witchcraft – artistically predisposed murderers, and perverted high-school principals that prey on their students. Redlands may be run by witches, but men still be creepy.
Coming off its explosive cold-open of an issue, Redlands is still warming up, but I’m excited to see where else this series decides to go.
