Prompt 292
“Oh I am blaming all of this on you T,” one of the beings in the summoning circle groans, burying their corpse-pale head in clawed hands as their white hair flickered.
“Me? Excuse me, I wasn’t the one to accept the summoning!” another being protested, hood hiding most of their face save for molten-gold eyes and glittering runes or code on dark blue skin. “I was trying to figure out how to convince PK to change our schedule to include more sleeping, so don’t look at me, look at S!”
“Well I didn’t accept it,” the only girl-sounding one scoffed, her crown of thorns seeming to writhe and bloom in her black hair for a moment. She crossed her arms, narrowing green eyes just a few shades darker than the white-haired one. “Maybe talk to whoever decided to summon us?”
All of the sudden the cultists and heroes were being peered down at by a trio of… honestly whatever they were, because they didn’t seem to be the “Infinite King” the cult had been attempting to summon. Actually, they kind-of-maybe looked like kids… Which probably meant their parents or caretakers wouldn’t be too pleased.

This is a little head cannon/What if Macaque had more original powers, a little more Starry Night dreamlike powers leaning into the more nurturing kind, you know, the moon and sun kind of powers? 🌙☀️
Maybe in the past, he was like a therapy friend to Wukong, someone he could really be himself with, vent, and tell his secrets without being judged in the safety of his own dreams. Someone he can truly trust, and that was Macaque.
Skip to Redemption Ark for Mac
Now he's a therapy friend to the whole MK team! (Against his will) They cuddle, pet, and vent to him with their problems. He's like one of Sandy's therapy cats, just bigger and grumpier.😾💕✨ he just has this way with people I guess
Okay, this is how it starts: Macaque and Wukong's first encounter was in a dream.
Wukong would not shut up about the pretty demon in his crazy dreams, often to his sworn brothers; he talked about all the fun and crazy adventures he'd have, the long meaningful conversations and jokes, and the occasionally moving pictures of otherworldly strong magical humans with sparkly eyes and spiky hair who wield giant weapons that shoots Fire called anime, and that this had been going on for a few months now.
This annoyed and concerned them; they think it's a demon trying to take over the Monkey King's mind or trying to brainwash him somehow, so Azure Lion and the Sworn Brothers all brainstormed together to devise a plan to somehow confront this tricky dream demon. Wukong doesn't want the fun dreams to end or scare off this other celestial monkey, so he decides to talk to his friend in his dreams. Wukong casually brings up the idea that the macaque should visit Flower Fruit and meet his sworn brothers! Macaque of course hesitates, not sure of the idea of traveling to an unknown island and meeting The Monkey King's questionable choice of sworn brothers, but of course, Wukong, sad and a bit offended, but he doesn't give up.
He decides to bring upon the Ultimate Weapon, begging and whining until Macaque crumbles and gives in, which eventually does. Mac reluctantly agrees to travel over to FFM in disguise, just to be safe he tells Wukong he'll be there. Within a month, Wukong couldn't be more excited; he was like a little kid waiting for Christmas day!
So this is what kinds of powers I think he should have.
😴 the first pic is crossing over to other people's dreams and making their experience life-like he has illusion magic so this makes sense to me. Wukong and macaque would prank the Brotherhood or play tags and hide and seek in their brother's dreams. 🌸The second pic is the soothing ability to calm one's nerves if they pet or cuddle him like a therapy cat,🐈 Wukong would groom him for hours to calm his nerves. now come copes with food🍑🍔🍭
🌸🎶I saved the best one for last the cute/sad little head Cannon I have
At the end of every dream Mac visits they would end it by dancing to music Mac would bring from the future laughing and stumbling while wukong slowly wakes up, wukong has always gone to bed early But now he goes even earlier to bed. Wukong always thought he was the luckiest monkey in the world he gets to have two Adventure and one of them is with his prettiest best friend Macaque 😚✨the monkey of his dreams.
🌸 Wukong couldn't truly dream of a world without his bestest friend🥰✨

hi! i desperately need to see swannie & splinter. give that boy his dad!
It took Splinter longer than he'd care to admit to gather up enough courage to go visit Swanatello at the lake. The idea of his child not only failing to recognize him but also rejecting him and driving him away was absolutely terrifying to him. But after a couple weeks, he found that he wanted to see Donnie much more than he was afraid.
Donnie doesn't remember him all the time. But he did on that first visit. Splinter is the only one that Donnie always recognizes right away. He either recognizes him or he doesn't-- there's never any hesitation or cloudiness when it's his dad. When he is able to recognize him, he recognizes him beyond a shadow of a doubt.
Donnie was so hideously overexcited that first visit that Splinter had to sit with him for a while just to settle him back down. Donnie didn't realize, on this particular day, that anything was wrong with his situation-- but he did know who his Dad was, and could recognize that it felt like he hadn't seen him in a while.
(Barry, on the other hand, Donnie has never once recognized nor met with anything less than complete and utter hostility on any of his visits.)
Also--
It hasn't really come up. Part of this is because when Splinter visits, he'll often sing so that Donnie has music to dance to. Donnie doesn't want to tell him that he already hears music for fear that he'll stop-- so he never mentions it.

Thinking about Ianthe's arm:
"He says it’s hideous and he’ll gild it for me—” (“Tacky,” you said.)"
Gold isn't something you can manipulate with necromantic ability. But here's Augustine casually offering to gild the bones of an entire skeleton arm, which sounds like it would be quite laborious manually.
But of course, what is the Mithraeum filled with?
Things like this:
"a skeletal arm wrapped in gold foil, amethysts studded like so many eyes between the knucklebones"
and this:
"gilded and bejewelled skeletons of Third and Seventh heroes dressed in gold and green robes of necromantic office, with amethysts and topazes and emeralds for eyes"
You have to assume that the Lyctors in general, or Augustine in particular, have been DIYing the bejeweled House hero relics for the last myriad, so adding some gold to an arm that's attached to someone isn't all that much of a stretch.
This is also riffing on an actual thing in Catholicism, so if you're trying to imagine the Mithraeum, I promise you that you are not visualising something as weird and tacky as reality...

i know for a fact that after finally reuniting the starklings sleep in bran’s room on a bunch of furs spread around for like a month because they’re freak out about losing each other. They all have insane nightmares and sleeping problems so they keep waking up to stare at each like owls and some how bran is always awake and jon wants to snuggle with ghost but he keeps abandoning him to sleep on bran’s bed or between the girls and when arya is listing her names they keep interrupting to talk about people they killed or saw die or people they want dead and she pretends to be pissed off but she enjoys being with her siblings and feeling understood. Initially she would be like: oh sansa won’t like if i keep talking about people i want to kill before bed every night and sansa is like: hey can you add a few names to your list for me? i have some people i want dead and detailed descriptions of the levels of suffering each of them deserve, do you want a spreadsheet? i can invent fantasy microsoft excel right now

canon-compliant gi. wrio x f!reader.
everyone say thank you to hoyo for wrio's fabulous teaser which gave me a lot of inspo to continue this idea i sent on discord.
childhood friends to lovers au that starts from wriothesley's arrest which is about a decade prior to the game to after the archon quest. reader's parents were sentenced by neuvillette to be guilty and sent to the fortress. one day, she thought of getting herself arrested so she can investigate and there, she met an inmate her age.
what if her parents belonged to a spy organization and defected when her mom found out she was pregnant with her. this org's all about not letting personal feelings get in the way of work, but her parents' love for each other was so strong that they stopped killing according to orders and didn't want their child to be exposed to their job and get hunted down by their former colleagues.
somehow, their enemies found out that they've been hiding in fontaine, and the only way to draw them out is to accuse them of several murders, which they actually committed in the past. this particular case was investigated by the gardes, which resulted at a dead end due to little evidence. as all the evidence points to them and they have no reason to lie about it, they were sentenced to the fortress of meropide.
before going there, her parents told her that they'll be on a business trip. although they've loving, reader's frustrated that they sometimes leave for long periods at a time and won't tell her anything.
due to this, reader grew up to be nosy. she overheard things about two new convicts, a couple, at the fortress of meropide being true perps of the murder case and immediately assumed they were about her parents. the thing is, "how do you go there?" so, she decided to be a menace by causing public disturbances at the city by slandering the iudex and the hydro archon.
she didn't mean it, of course. she needed to do something offensive that would definitely get her ass to jail.
"another kid?" don't tell me..." she heard the guards say in passing on the way to her dorm. similar to the traveler's routine in act iii, reader spends time in between looking for her parents. got stuck here lol, but an incident led her to meet wrio who helped her solve it.
wrio has met her parents who treated him very well and told him about their daughter who's around his age, which he guessed to be her. he agreed to help discover the truth about her parents' sentence and escape from prison, but only for the price of learning the ins and outs of the fortress. reader's nosy nature's useful to perceive info very quickly and she already found out some things that she didn't mean to, so he declared her as his unofficial informant.
remember when charlotte asked paimon and traveler to get info about wrio since they were sent to the fortress? well she found their intel to be insufficient. reader at this time serves as wrio's informant and with her, her parents are his oldest allies. she managed to pick up their convo at the cafe. bored out of her mind, she decided to talk to them and tell her story about her relationship with wrio: from childhood until the present.
