[3] personal astrology observations
[!] this is mostly an introspective view into my chart; in no way, shape, or form am i saying that any of this is fact or set in stone, nor am i saying that i am a professional astrologer. these are just presences that exist within my chart that i've felt manifest themselves in real life. simply put, take what resonates and leave what doesn't :)
Tumblr media
— the observation that venus in the 9th house and sagittarius mars natives are far more likely to be attracted to foreigners and/or meet their future partner/s in a foreign country is true!
[nothing, just felt like confirming, esp as someone w both these placements 🤭 like, i honestly am more likely to be approached (in a romantic setting) by a foreigner both in-person and online!]
═ sun square neptune is the aspect of daydreamers. they're always thinking about an idealized version of the future or dwelling on the past. rarely do they ever think in the present. it is often easier for them to drift off into a daze either thinking about what could have been or everything that could be.
☰ chiron in fifth house indicates pain associated with creative passions and self-expression. one may have had negative experiences that have led them to feel insecure about these aspects of life; thus leading them to distance themselves from openly expressing themselves creatively. they may take great care to keep their works of art private, tone down certain parts of their personality, and may even feel ashamed to explain themselves when others ask them about certain aspects of their creative and self-expression because of negative feedback they could have gotten in the past.
but with such pain comes empathy and understanding. once developed, these natives are the first to take notice and are the fastest to lend a sensitive ear as well as a supportive hand as soon as they see others going through the same struggle.
☱ sun-lilith in harsh aspects might have been told to cover up more by both peers and grown-ups, even when wearing "acceptable" clothing when they were kids. this placement can indicate an individual that was more sexualized from a young age, which can lead to them either being hypersexual or overly-reserved sexually in adulthood.
☲ lilith in the 7th house can indicate an individual that struggles to commit and open up about who they are to their partner/s. people with lilith in this house may have had bad experiences with marriage (perhaps witnessing bad divorces or tumultuous long-term relationships between their parents) and therefore might be turned off by the thought of marriage and/or long-term partnerships.
and though this doesn't mean that the native will be a lone soul forever, it does make one more likely to have these sort of relationships at a significantly older age in comparison to other signs.
[tw: mention of domestic violence in my personal experience, i have witnessed my parents go through an incredibly bad separation (tons of emotional abuse, infidelity, and a situation actually involving domestic violence) which has honestly made me quite hesitant to get married, even as i approach my mid-20s.]
☴ the cancer rising urge to cry when someone you care about is crying or in distress in general.
☴ a few asteroid notes:
note: asteroids are less impactful to one's personality, physicality, etc. compared to personal planets. they tend to only be relevant to one's chart if they are either in a tight orb (0-1°) or have major aspects to personal planets, preferably conjunctions or oppositions.
✢ messalina (545) known as the most promiscuous woman in rome, empress messalina is still recognized today as a symbol of uncontrolled, violent, irrational, and impulsive behavior. this asteroid reminds me very much of lilith in that it is representative of dark feminine energy and having this prominent in one's chart can be indicative of an individual that is not afraid to use their sexuality to their advantage or to create harm unto others in different aspects of their lives, but especially in terms of romantic and sexual relationships.
✢ anagolay (3757) is an potentially hazardous asteroid named after anagolay, the tagalog goddess of lost things and the daughter of the hermaphroditic goddess of seasons, lakapati. she is culturally-recognized for her ability to find not only physical objects but also abstract possessions like lost opportunities and faded memories. having this prominent in one's chart can suggest an individual that is very in-tune with cycle of nature and the subsequent passage of time. they may be more sensitive to bouts of nostalgia where they dwell on things that could have been and the way that things were. may also just indicate a person that is hypersensitive to losing physical things, though.

Do you know ways I can set up altars for gods that have very little history due to colonization? I wanna worship anagolay more and look for rituals and symbols to honor her with. (Also any info about anagolay regarding worship would be super helpful)😭🤞
Hi, Thanks for your Ask. I do not know much at all about Anagolay, or Filipino culture. What I did find on her was quite interesting! My path is of the Slavic 'paganism' (Mati Zemlya, Mokos, Veles), and an appreciation of & for the Greco-Roman. (I work with Hekate).
I personally think researching is a must, and it honours the deity (deities), and strengthens your path. Being open minded, and using critical thinking in what you do find is helpful. A sincere heart is important too in seeking, learning, walking ones Path. If anyone knows about Anagola, and can help gayratsin1body please do!
Sorry I couldnot be of more help. I wish you all the best as you Seek.

Hi Nay Eye Lore (Hi Neye?)
As thanks for everyone who pulled together to help us win a sexy character poll, here's the promised eye lore for Mari Datuin, Eye Themed protagonist of Hi Nay 👁️
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The eye you see in Hi Nay's imagery is what I call, behind the scenes, the Eye of Anagolay.
Anagolay is the goddess of lost things. There's little known about Tagalog gods, but we know her to be the daughter of Ikapati (who I refer to as Lakampati/ Lakapati), the goddess of cultivated land and kindest of the gods.
In the narrative of Hi Nay, and in contrast to other Eye themes in horror, Mari's eye is benevolent. It acts as protection against harmful powers.
This is why you see the Eye covering the philosopher's stone symbol in the logo, which symbolizes the Elders and their immortality and lust for power.
Mari's anting-anting bears the eye. Anting-anting are charms used for various reasons; protection, power, or the removal of hexes or curses.
Every time you see the eye or hear about it in Hi Nay, it's actually a positive force rather than a negative one.
However... there's a reason why Mari never takes the anting-anting off.
The baybayin has some minor issues that I'll need to fix in a visual guide, but it reads
Ma-ri-la-g / na / a-na-k / ni / La-ka-m-pa-ti-ng / Ma-ha-ba-gi-n
"Marilag na anak ni Lakampating Mahabagin" "Beautiful child of Compassionate/Merciful Lakampati"
Mari is short for Marilag. Her full name is Marilag Precious Datuin-Roces.

orv ocs from lime? 👀 gimme gimme!
i've got them visualized in my head but i've barely got anything down about them besides a few sketches. got a little group together. not very good at names so some of them just don't have one yet 🥲
these ocs are american, living in the state i currently live in - new york - because i'm the most familiar with this area. however, as it's not a capital, most of these incarnations joins the scenario later on, after the 10th main scenario had already passed. something about seeing how the world progresses outside the domes... what happens if you have family trapped in the dome? what about the people who just don't believe the scenarios are real? it's really interesting to think about.
also, domes. it wasn't elaborated on how the domes are made outside of 'capitals', but in the side story we learn that extra domes are created based on population. the korean peninsula has a population of about 75 million with one dome, so assuming 75 million per dome, the united states would have 4 or 5 domes. we only know of the dc and las vegas domes in canon, so i'm assuming new york city ends up as a dome here. anyway, the incarnations:
arin, sponsored by the philippine goddess of lost things anagolay. she a matching skill and a stigma, dubbed [lost] and [found] until i can think of better names for them. [lost] is a stealth skill, which masks your presence / makes people 'forget' about your existence temporarily, while [found] summons things that have previously been lost (the type of item can be influenced, e.g 'weapon' or 'trinket', but the specific item is random. more probability spent generally means a better item.)
arin has a brother, who is actually sponsored by anagolay's husband, dumakulem, a god of the mountains/hunting! he was caught in a dome while traveling over there, and has managed to survive until the domes are freed and is now trying to get back to arin
a teenage incarnation with kind of hypnosis / control skills. she has (again, temporary names) [suggestion] and [command], with [suggestion] being used while talking to subtly influence the other party. on the other hand, when [command] is used the other party is notified through a system message, but the power of the influence is way stronger. i found it interesting to explore how much a character that you know could be manipulating you can be trusted
a girl sponsored by sherlock holmes. she has a skill that's something like a weaker character list. she can 'investigate' an incarnation, learning their sponsor, a limited amount of attributes/skills, and basic information.
elio and esmeralda. esme is an old lady who was in a nursing home, and elio her nurse, who paired up after a particularly bad first scenario. elio is a more supportive incarnation, and he's able to reinforce an enclosed space to block people who aren't allowed in. esme is sponsored by the grim reaper, and wields a scythe.
a dokkaebi! asong (아송), a mid-grade dokkaebi who isn't actually a streamer, but a dokkaebi who takes care of a museum of rare items collected from particularly famous incarnations who have died, or donated by their sponsors who liked their incarnations for showcasing after they died. she's shocked after an item is summoned out of the museum by arin's [found], and hunts her down to get her item back
there's a few more, but they're still just ideas and i don't have enough on them to list yet.
as these incarnations are in america, they do run in with anna croft and the zarathustras eventually. yoo joonghyuk is out there doing his own thing, but this world is set in a regression where he dies before he can impact the world too much. i think about these guys a lot... my own little kimcom. i really encourage everyone to make their own orv ocs it is so fun

Which deity should I make from the Pinoy pantheon?? >:D
Hiii!! I had a bit of help of which pinoy deity to choose from but maybe you could make Anagolay! She’s the goddess of lost things, if you haven’t had her yet. She is the mother of the god of the sun Apolaki and an asteroid was named after her :3
Hope this helped! pinoy na naman aq pero di fluent ng tagalog (bisaya din) HAHAHAHHA

Isles of Bathala: The Aghoy
The Aghoy are small human-like creatures that tend to live in the branches of trees. They tend to have fair skin and vary in the amount of eyes that they have, usually some number between one (1) and three (3). They are considered a cousin to the elves. While they wear clothing made from the surrounding plantlife, they absolutely hate having their feet covered.
When travelers take or damage the trees they call home, the Aghoy will curse them, causing rashes to appear all around the body. In order to remove the curse, you must bring a present to the Aghoy and ask for forgiveness.
Despite this, the Aghoy are always looking for kind and honest people to make friends with. All Aghoy have been blessed with power from the Divinity Anagolay, the goddess of lost things. When they see someone they want to be friends with, they can sense if they have lost something important. Then, they are able to transport the item into their hand to give as a gift to their potential friend.
They also like to play small pranks, such as moving things around when you aren't looking or changing what position you are sleeping in.
The Real Life Inspiration
Much of the description is lifted directly from what I have read of the Aghoy, which is how the East Visayans refer to these small elves. They are described as short, pale-skinned, yellow hair, and bare foot. Most of what I read describes their kindness and search for friends by finding the items that their friends have lost.
The lost item is considered a test in some of the writings. If the recipient of the present acknowledges it was an important item they lost and thank the Aghoy, the person has passed the test of honesty and are rewarded. One item that has come up multiple times that the Aghoy have is magic purse of seemingly infinite gold.
They are also pranksters. They like to live near villages and change the sleeping positions of the people in those villages.
As for when they feel their home is being trespassed, they throw dust into the eyes of the encroachers. This also results in the trespassers developing rashes and twisted lips. This may be remedied by a healer going to the tree of the Aghoy with a gift of rice, asking for forgiveness.

hi! i just wanted to say that i’m loving the game so far and i love your writing style and how detailed everything feels without feeling super heavy on exposition (you strike an excellent balance with that and honestly I’m impressed considering all the worldbuilding you’re doing), and also bc of this game i found out an asteroid was named after anagolay in 1982! anyways this game is great and I’m really excited to see where it goes next 💛
thank you so much! i actually really appreciate you acknowledging that because balancing the pacing of the worldbuilding and exposition is something i am really mindful of! i don't want to bog down the progression of the adventure because i want to make sure the reader feels the urgency of the situation, but i also know that this is a unique world and so i have to be thoughtful about the details the reader needs in order to experience the story the way i want them to.
and yeah i did see that too! i love that this game helped you discover that. i really appreciate the kind ask 💞

Team Aspects Character Sheets (Scions of the Diwata)
I’ve been making a lot of character sheets for the TTRPG system Scion, in which players are the half blood children of gods. These are mostly just for fun but also because it helps me more easily articulate them even if I may never actually use them either in a game or story.
These particular group of characters, “Team Aspects,” are based on a Filipino pantheon that I have statted out via a spreadsheet but have not (yet) written in the rule book/core guide format to semi-formally submit it for other people to use.
There’s also a few things wrong:
Technically no characters should have boons equal or higher than their Legend rating (ie Jonel having my home brewed “Enchanted Trinket” Magic spell and Zedrick having a bunch of level 3s)
Thrown as an ability is less useful than I was hoping in a combat setting, so I made points in the thrown ability boost the weapon accuracy/damage/OR speed per point
Natures do actually have mechanical benefits/penalties in RP situations, so actual characters would not get to have two, but for characterizations/story telling purposes I put two as a “the person you appear outwardly” vs “the person you actually are/want to be”
Birthrights I fudge since, when I played, they were looted/gifted rather purchased with XP points
Maywin has “Bathala”/Lalahon because in the not yet written pantheon guide, there are two different “courts” of the Diwata (Sky vs Sea) and Maywin is pretending to be a scion of Bathala since the scions of the Sea are largely viewed as evil by the scions of the Sky
And finally, “Magtipon” is what I am calling the pantheon-specific purview for the Diwata--although I have not yet decided/statted those out specifically (I have some rough ideas but need to narrow down and work out the mechanics properly)
Under the cut!
JONEL BASA aka The Masked Artificer Survivor/Caregiver Diwata of the Sky - Scion of Idiyanale
Tumblr media
~~~
ZEDRICK AQUINO aka The Weather Wielder Architect/Gambler Diwata of the Sky - Scion of Anitun Tabu
Tumblr media
~~~
ROMY MANOLO aka The Game Diviner Traditionalist/Trickster Diwata of the Sky - Scion of Anagolay
Tumblr media
~~~
MAYWIN LIWANAG aka The Light Fencer Perfectionist/Loner Diwata of the Sea - Scion of "Bathala”/(Lalahon)
“Why do mortals never learn from loss?
Every coupling is temporary. A home
does not endure. Few can bear to
focus on the truth, day upon day.
Lost hopes wash out to a city’s gutters,
drown unseen in muddy water.”
The St. Patrick's Case part 2 - Filipino Lines
EPISODE SPOILERS UNDER THE CUT!
There's quite a bit of dialogue in Episode 30: The St. Patrick's Case (part 2) that Mari says in two different Filipino languages - Cebuano/Bisaya, and Tagalog.
Mari's Nanay (mother) is Cebuano/Bisaya, and her Tatay (father) is Tagalog.
[If you speak Cebuano/Bisaya and I pronounced it wrong, I am so sorry my Nanay never taught me Bisaya so she had to record lines for me to read out loud and I don't know if I did it all correctly!!! - Motzie]
MARI: [weakly] Nanay… Pasayloa tawon ko kay wa na ko kahibalo kung unsay akong buhaton… Palihug tabangi ko ninyo… Nanginahanglan tawon ko ug tabang…. Untana…
MARI: [muttering] Anagolay… gabayan mo po ako.
-
MARI: Hi Nay. I did something terrible today. May lalaki… Nakakapit sa akin habang namatay… Masama siyang tao… marami siyang pinatay pero… Naramdaman ko nung yumao siya. May naramdaman ako. Kapangyarihan.Gusto niyang ipamigay sa akin ang kanyang kaluluwa, sabi niya… ako yung bago niyang Diyos.
[sigh] Sira-ulo. Ito ba yung kinakatakutan niyo ni Tatay? Kapangyarihan?
O… [broken] kasiraan?
[whispering] Pasayloa ko, Nanay.
-
MARI: [gently, lovingly] You’re dying. I couldn’t stop it if I wanted to… and I don’t. But your sister still loves you, so your soul will pass where it must. Di ko siya dadakpin. But you will die, and everything you’ve done will mean nothing. You don’t get to have the power you tried to steal from others. This is all you’ll get.
-
[special thanks to my own Nanay for helping me write the Bisaya lines!]
