Clothing Rituals
This type of ritual was performed daily, monthly, for special occasions, or it was done annually for the New Year in Ancient Egypt- this largely depended on the temple and the time period. They have been attested dating back to the Old Kingdom and lasted until Ptolemaic times. From the Abusir papyrus that was found in royal funerary temples- specifically from pharaohs Neferirkare and Raneferef, we can see that these rituals were done monthly; however, the deity of the temple was the deceased king. In later times, this ritual was performed daily for the main gods in the temple. What we do know from this type of ritual is best explained in pBerlin 3014, pBerlin 3053 and pBerlin 3055 (which is dated to the 22nd dynasty), along with the temple of Seti I in Abydos and Ptolemaic temples.
In the morning, the ba was reawoken for the god by unveiling them from the night before. You would say your admiration of the god with a prayer or hymn before washing off the mD.t unguent and undressing it from the mnH.t cloth. The mD.t unguent and the mnH.t cloth is speculated to help with regeneration and renewal. The mnH.t cloth was commonly “depicted as one or two stripes of cloth folded in half and often referred to as four-coloured cloths- white, green, red and blue (or dark-red). Each of these colours had its own symbolic meaning connected with protection, health, fertility, regeneration and renewal” (The Clothing Rite, 66). Next, the statue was then purified with natron and incense (perhaps myrrh, frankincense, or palmonia resin) before it was redressed in clean mnH.t cloth. The mD.t unguent was reapplied to the statue, along with green and black paints. Next, formal clothing was adorned to the statue, along with jewelry and pectorals before, lastly, the final purification and fumigation took place.
How can you implement this into your practice?
Based off of the steps known from ancient practices in temples of Egypt, it is possible to do a daily rite with this, if you choose, or on days when you want to go to your own shrine.
First, find a place for your statues so they won’t get damaged. Find a good piece of cloth, preferably linen to conceal the statues when they’re not at the forefront of your practice. When they’re not in the forefront of your practice veil the statue.
Unveil the deity’s statue.
Next, invoke the deity along with saying or singing a prayer/hymn.
Third, use natron to help purify and light some incense. You could use something universal like myrrh and frankincense or your could use UPG and choose the one you think they would like best.
Fourth, dress the deity in some new cloth and annoint the statue. I cannot find anything about mD.t ungunet at this time but you could use something that you’ve dedicated to just them- whether you make your own oil or purchase it.
Fifth, add on the regelia and jewelry. While this step isn’t always possible for everybody, I will add it. You could get Barbie jewelry to add or you could make your own to size. You could repaint on the makeup if you choose, as well.
Lastly, the final purification and fumigation. Relight your incense. This one should be more specific to cleansing.

The Origin of the Oracle of Delphi's Powers
Tumblr media
Imagine; you are living in Ancient Greece and need help making a decision or are just wondering about what your future holds. In times like those, you would go to the Oracle of Delphi and speak to her—asking her your questions as smokey fumes (the pneuma as they would have been known) swirl around her and she is sitting on a tripod in a trance. She would still be able to hear and answer you, but the pneuma has opened her connection to Apollo allowing for him to possess her and communicate through her. At times, the connection and message would appear to be too much for her and she would convulse before passing out only to die the next day. Today, however, we know the real reason for the Oracle’s possessed trance.
In the times of the Ancient Greeks, Delphi was believed to be the belly button of the world and there was an earth dragon, named Python, who protected it. When Zeus slept with Leto and got her pregnant, Hera was so mad that she instructed Python to chase Leto around the earth and make sure that she never gives birth where the sun shines. During this chase, a new island named Delos rose from the ocean and Leto gave birth to Artemis and Apollo there. Once Apollo was grown enough to strike out on his own, he decided to hunt down Python in retribution for him [Python] chasing his [Apollo’s] mother. Once he caught and killed Python in Delphi, Zeus was incredibly mad so Apollo founded the Pythian Games in order to redeem himself.
According to an archaeological survey conducted in the early 2000s, the Temple of Apollo in Delphi is built on two fault lines (pictured below). Where the faults (Delphi and Kerna) intersect is where the temple resides. The temple itself was built asymmetrically to allow for a feature that is no longer there and the inner sanctum is sunk by 2 to 4 meters. There is a drain for spring water built directly into the foundations of the temple, while the temple was likely built to enclose a specific piece of land—more specifically the vent from where the fumes came out of. The pneuma, as the archaeological team discovered (there was a geologist on the team as well), was most likely to be ethylene produced by the petrochemicals in the limestone deposits deep in the ground.
Tumblr media
When the archaeologists conducted their survey, the prevailing belief was that there was no such thing as the pneuma. After the Greek War of Independence in the 1820s, interest in the area was once again raised and early archaeologists decided to visit and dig. One such hobbyist was Adolph Oppe who, after he surveyed the Temple of Apollo, decided that because he was unable to see where the fumes would have risen meant that there never was a vent and that the pneuma that the Oracle was exposed to was a metaphor. He neglected to take into account earthquakes that may have shifted the earth and blocked the vent in addition to the fact that gas is typically invisible. This false knowledge reigned supreme until a geological survey was undertaken in the late 20th century and it was discovered that there were fault lines running under the temple. The geologist spilled this knowledge to an archaeologist some years later, and an archaeological survey was undertaken resulting in the former idea dying and a new idea taking its place.
Ideas change as time goes by, so even the 2000s idea of ethylene being the pneuma may be outdated in another 100 or so years. However, when the ideas do change it is important to change them based off of new evidence and not just base it on the idea that because you can’t see it doesn’t mean it does not exist.

Another way to Create Your Reality
One of the definitions for the word: “Realization” is, “the fulfillment or achievement of something desired or anticipated”. This was a word that took a little time for me to reclassify within my vocabulary while I was pursuing my degree in mysticism. It makes so much sense though, to realize is to literally make something “real”, at least in the sense of the word as we understand it. It’s to…

To My Dear Brothers & Sisters in Jesus Christ....
Yoga & Meditation
This topic came to my attention recently once again. Christians prompting meditation and yoga within the church. Personally coming from a paradox background of being raised in the church and then straying into dark waters into different practices, I can honestly say this should not be encouraged in the Body of Christ. I even know of “yoga ministries” or “christian yoga” sprouting up in christian circles. This cannot and shouldn’t be a thing among us.
Tumblr media
The practice of yoga is originated from India and rooted in both Hinduism, and Buddhism. To boil it all down to the basic beliefs of yoga and meditation is the awakening and discipline of the mind and body. The word “namaste” is spoke aloud at the end of every yoga session. It’s means “welcome”, referring to the reawakening and re-consciousness of one self. I know this because I’ve tried yoga in the past and learned what “namaste” meant. All other knowledge of these religious practices comes from further personal research and prayer. So at its core, meditation and yoga is to aid one to achieve control over themselves based solely on their own will. This “spiritual” philosophy totally goes against the Christian faith.
We as Christians, have chosen to give up the illusion of control to God because we were never in control of our own lives or anyone else’s in the first place. Only God our Creator is in control. Believing we can live this life on earth without Jesus, without God, leads to a meaningless and empty end. “Everything is meaningless,” says the Teacher, “completely meaningless!” What do people get for all their hard work under the sun?” ‭‭(Ecclesiastes‬ ‭1‬:‭2‬-‭3‬ ‭NLT‬‬)
A reminder, this post is only addressed to my fellow believers in Jesus Christ. Those who’ve accepted Him as their Savior and Redeemer because we’ve accepted the truth of our sinful natures. It is through Christ that we are healed and whole. With all that said, we must be alert and sober to what practices we allow or invite into the Body of Christ. Modern variations of ancient religious practices do not cancel out their true intent. Like for example, renaming the yoga practice; “christian yoga”, and its many poses to better fit this current time or modern ideals. There’s been already so much compromise to our faith throughout the centuries as it is. We must take ownership and responsibility so no other believer may stumble in their walk with Jesus. Modern New Age thinking meditation and yoga has already penetrated our church walls, chose to be a vigilante watchmen on the wall. (Isaiah 62:6-9) In Jesus Name!

DP x DC: The Most Dangerous Card Game
Ok so Danny has essentially claimed earth as his. And he is fully aware that there are constant threats to the planet. Now he can’t stop a threat that originates on earth (that’s something he’ll leave to the Justice league) but he can do something about outside threats. Doing some research on ancient spells, rituals, and artifacts, he cast a world wide barrier on the planet to protect it from hostile threats so they cannot enter. This will prevent another Pariah Dark incident. However, barriers like this come at a price. You see, there are two ways to make a barrier. Either make one powered up by your own energy and power (which would be constantly draining) or set up a barrier with rules. The way magic works is that nothing can be absolutely indestructible. It must have a weakness. The most powerful barriers weren’t the ones reinforced with layer after layer of protective charms and buffed up with power. Those could eventually be destroyed either by being overpowered, wearing them down, or by cutting off the original power source. No, the most powerful barriers were the ones with a deliberate weakness. A barrier indestructible except for one spot. A cage that can only be opened from the outside. Or that can only be passed with a key or by solving a riddle. So Danny chooses this type of barrier and does the necessary ritual and pours in enough power to make it. And he adds his condition for anyone to enter.
Now the Justice league? Find out about the barrier when Trigon attempts to attack, they were preparing after he threatened what he would do once he got to earth. How he would destroy them. The Justice league tried to take the fight to him first but were utterly destroyed, so they retreated home to tend to their injuries, and fortify earth for one. Last. Stand. Only when Trigon makes his big entrance…he’s stopped.
The Justice league watch in awe as this thin see-through barrier with beautiful green swirls and speckled white lights like stars apears blocking Trigon and his army’s advance. The barrier looks so thin and fragile yet no matter how hard the warlord hits, none of his attacks can get through and neither can he damage said barrier. That’s when Constantine and Zatanna recognizes what this barrier is. Something only a powerful entity could create. For a moment, the league is filled with hope that Trigon can’t get through yet Constantine also explains that it’s not impenetrable. And clearly Trigon knows this too for he calls out a challenge.
And that’s when, in a flash of light, a tiny glowing teenager appears. He looked absolutly minuscule compared to Trigon and yet practically glowed with power (this isn’t a King Danny AU though).
And that is when the conditions for passing the barrier are revealed. And the Justice realize that the only thing stopping Trigon and his army from decimating earth. The only way he can get through….is by beating this glowing teenager in a card game.
Not just any card game though. The most convoluted game Sam, Danny, and Tucker invented themselves. It’s like the infinite realms version of magic the gathering, combined with Pokémon, and chess. And Danny is the master. So sit down Trigon and let’s play.
(The most intense card game of the Justice league’s life).
After Danny wins, this happens a few more times with outer word beings and possibly even demons attempting to invade earth, yet none have been able to beat the mysterious teenager in a card game. Constantine might even take a crack at it and try to figure out how to play. He’s really bad though. Every time this happens, the Justice league worry that this might be the time the teenager looses. Yet every time, he wins (even if only barely).
Meanwhile, Danny, Sam, and Tucker have gotten addicted to the game and play it almost daily. Some teachers might seem them playing the game are are like ‘awww how cute’ not realizing this game is literally saving the world. Jazz is just happy they aren’t spending as much time on their screens playing Doomed.
#DPxDC#dcxdp#Danny makes a card game to save the world.#Technically he worded the ritual so that they had to ‘beat’ him as those are the most powerful barriers and most reliable.#keys can just get lost or stolen (like the one to Pariah’s Coffin)#A riddle would be useless once someone figured out the answer. Like how no one takes the sphynx seriously anymore.#(Sorry Tuck. But it’s true).#And there is NO WAY Danny is just leaving a hole open for anyone to pass through. No thank you!#So…beating him. But it’s not like Danny wanted to fight so…he edited the ritual a TINY bit. Card games are good. Much less painful too.#Danny Tucker and Sam made the most complicated card game they could imagine.#It’s based on their strategies for fighting ghosts. Capturing them in thermoses. And MUCH based on a on field battle strategy.#It often requires spontaneous thinking on the spot. So Danny? In his ELEMNT. It doubles as practice for his actual ghost battles too.#They had SO much fun making this.#Sam added an entire series of plant cards that act as traps and healing ointments and duds that just take up the field.#Tucker added legitimate hyroglyphics combined with Latin as well as English and ghost speak.#Yes. You actually have to speak that language to play. With proper pronunciation. (Amity Parker’s think the three are talking gibberish.)#I headcanon Sam and Tucker are fluent in Ghost.#Constantine WILL figure this game out SO HELP HIM!#Some of the cards also have combinations related to constellations either in name or placement on the board.#By the way the board is based on a Hexagonal summoning circle with Rhunes along the edges#And the placement of the cards on the board and on what rhune MATTERS.#Also the cards move disintegrate and have certain abilities. Think of Harry Potter Wizard Chess.#But they are normal when Danny plays at school. This is just for ✨effect✨ Against invaders.#Danny faces multiple opponents. He also halts alien invasions.#While Danny COULD stop crime on earth he’s not sure how to fight a normal human and hold back so he sticks to ghosts.#The Justice league are going crazy trying to figure out who this entity is and after deep research are convinced this is some sort of#Ancient being who has protected earth for millenia. They have paintings on ruins and everything.#Danny is not aware they think this.#Raven starts praying to Danny as if he is a god and wrangles the other Teen Titans into doing so as well. Danny is still unaware of this.#Danny is not a King or an ancient. Just a very VERY strong ghost.

Discovering the Lost Art of Rhabdomancy: Understanding the History and Practice of Divining for Water and Minerals
Rhabdomancy is a little-known term that refers to the practice of divining for water or minerals using a forked stick or rod. The word is derived from the Greek "rhabdos," meaning rod, and "manteia," meaning divination.
The practice of rhabdomancy dates back to ancient times and has been used in various cultures and civilizations throughout history. In ancient Greece, for example, rhabdomancers were believed to possess the ability to locate underground water sources by holding a forked stick and walking across a dry landscape. The stick would supposedly bend or move in the direction of the water, allowing the rhabdomancer to locate the source.
Rhabdomancy was also used in mining to locate ore deposits, this time with a metallic rod.
Rhabdomancy was an especially important practice in arid regions where water was scarce and vital for survival. In these areas, rhabdomancers were highly respected and their services were in great demand.
Today, rhabdomancy is a largely forgotten practice, replaced by more modern techniques for locating water and minerals. However, the term is still used in some circles, particularly by those interested in divination and the history of dowsing.
Example sentence: "The villagers hired a rhabdomancer to locate an underground water source.
