You stared yet again at the reflection in front of you. Tear stains had ruined your makeup, your mascara that claimed to be waterproof was now coating your cheeks until your chin.
You gripped the sink in anger, your knuckles turning white at the force.
A lot of curse words flashed in your mind, but none were strong enough to represent your current state.
How could you be so oblivious? You thought Jake and you had something, something that went beyond just two people who met at a frat party.
You felt it, inside your heart, the way it tickled every time you heard his sweet chuckle leave his lips, seeming like the only light in the darkness of life.
You took a deep breath, trying to gather all the shattered pieces of your heart, laying open there. If that was how it hurt, you sure as hell weren’t going to give anyone else the key to access to it.
“What’s a pretty girl crying in the bathroom for?” A voice snapped you out of your trance. You raised your face and met a pair of known, dark eyes.
“Heeseung.” You breathed out, not even bothering to turn around. That moment almost felt like a deja vù, probably because that same bathroom was where your lips first met Jake’s.
Trying to block out all the memories of that Australian man, you turned around and leaned back on the countertop.
“Glad you still remember my name.” He said, licking his bottom lip, “Found out your prince charming wasn’t as innocent as you thought?”
You frowned at his words “How’d you know?” And Heeseung just chuckled bitterly in response “I invited you to my party in hope of having you for myself.”
His eyes roamed all over your body “Just to find out you were at it with my best friend.” You rolled your eyes. “We just made out, nothing more.”
If you thought Jake was bold, Heeseung was shameless. He was looking at you like you were a gazelle in the lion’s den, eyes scanning your body, probably imagining you without clothes.
“Well, he’s busy now.” You turned around and looked at yourself in the mirror, trying to clean the mascara stains on your face.
“With Karina?” Heeseung nodded at himself, “She was there before you.”
You turned around again, a deeply offended expression painting your features “Excuse me?”
Heeseung smirked, cleaning your cheeks with his own thumbs “You really thought Sim Jake would fall in love with a mediocre girl?” He cooed “Aw, poor you. Jake had always been greedy, he would never settle for someone who isn’t from his own neighbourhood.”
“And why are you telling me this?” You asked warily, not fully believing the words leaving his mouth. You wanted to stay with your impression of the kind and playful Jake. Not the player, not the heartbreaker.
“Because he isn’t worth your tears, pretty.” Heeseung’s voice was husky and hoarse, you couldn’t almost understand his words “But I am, when I’ll fuck you so hard.”
You pushed his chest away, “Disgusting.” But Heeseung only laughed in response, “I was kidding.”
You rolled your eyes and stepped aside of him “I’m going home.” You were almost out of the door when his big hand wrapped around your waist, pulling you flush on his chest.
“Or, I have a better idea.” You raised a brow. “You don’t look like someone who has nice ideas.”
“Just trust me.” He wiggled his brows “I know you’re known for seducing and then leaving.”
You scowled “If that’s my reputation on your side of the town.” His fingers trailed your arm until they reached your shoulder, caressing the bare skin “In my opinion, that’s hot.”
“I don’t remember asking.” You sighed, having heard his flattering already when he was courting you, a couple of weeks before.
“I’m saying, we go downstairs.” Heeseung bit his bottom lip, playing with the strap of your dress. “And we get a taste of each other, just let your mind drift off.” He said, lowering down to whisper in your ear.
You honestly weren’t in the mood to make out with someone, let alone be in a room full of teenagers drunk off their tits— But what could you do better to fix your broken heart?
“I hope you improved your kissing skills.”

If stares could kill, then the ones Jake was giving you as you basically straddled Heeseung in the middle of his living room got you dead a few minutes before.
Your lips were attached, rarely pulling away, just enough to catch your breath while his hands were wrapped around your waist, holding you in place on his laps.
Jake was still with that pretty woman whose name you learnt was Karina. And in fact, she was deadly gorgeous, you almost didn’t blame Jake for leaving you for her. But you were Y/N, nobody should’ve dared to play with your heart that same cruel way Jake did.
“You don’t mind making out with me in front of him?” You asked on Heeseung’s lips, licking his bottom one “Nah,” He cupped the back of your neck, pulling you closer “You weren’t a thing anyways, were you?”
Your heart stopped at his words, because in fact, you and Jake weren’t anything. You had never been, it was foolish of you to even hope for it.
“No, we weren’t.” You replied in a whisper, “Perfect.” Heeseung resumed kissing you, more roughly this time.
Jake needed something stronger than the mild cup of beer in his hand to forget your presence in the room. Smashing his head on the wall seemed like a good option since not only did you attend the party but were also making out with his best friend.
He called it on himself, he knew nothing good would come with playing with you, but he couldn’t erase all that he had done.
Trying to cancel the image of Heeseung with his hands all over you, he turned to the side to give his attention to the raven haired girl beside him “So, when’s your brother coming home from Paris again?”
Karina smiled at the mention “Sunghoon is coming back in two days!” She informed him, “He also wanted to invite you guys over.”
Jake beamed back at his other best friend’s older sister and nodded “That sounds good, I haven’t seen him in one month or so.”
Karina rolled her eyes “Yeah, I came back as soon as work finished but he claimed he wanted to ‘sightsee’ the city before returning here.”
He smiled “Living his best life, I see.” He patted her shoulder, the touch on her exposed skin only made him remember how your body felt when it was wrapped around his, kissing you all over.
He hoped he could have done more, to be with you longer so that he would have experienced having you laid down beneath him, in your whole essence and beauty. He wished he had a chance to do that— But the universe wasn’t on his side.
You hadn’t realised how much fun those rich kids could have. You thought they talked about horses and lake cottages in their free time but they actually were so much more than that!
Or maybe it was whatever Heeseung made you smoke that was altering your thoughts.
You were currently sitting on his laps, your back pressed against his chest as you took a drag out of the joint between your fingers.
You giggled at something one of Heeseung’s friends said, you weren't even sure why you were laughing but it sounded fun.
Heeseung caressed your back, trailing circles on your shoulder as he took a drag from his own joint “Having fun, Y/N?” He asked and you nodded “Much.”
“Mhmh, I bet you are.” He smirked, “First time smoking weed?”
You nodded again “Jake said I looked like I did it daily,” You chuckled “But I never tried.”
“Did he?” He whispered, getting close to your neck, leaving kitten licks “You talk a lot about him.”
“No.” You frowned “I don’t.” Heeseung chuckled and started sucking on your sensitive skin, making you let out a moan.
His big hand went to cover your mouth as he worked on your neck, sucking and biting enough to leave a hickey “You talked about him the whole night, haven't you even realised?”
You widened your eyes at his statement. No, you hadn’t realised, but when his name rolled out of your tongue it just sounded so right.
You just shook your head, unable to reply verbally since his hand was on your lips.
You closed your eyes, trying to block out any thought at the feeling of Heeseung’s lips on your neck and the weed clouding your mind.
“Are you mad?” A strict voice suddenly snapped you out of your state of trance as you felt yourself being ripped away from Heeseung’s grasp.
You opened your eyes just to find a very rather and deeply angry Jake standing in front of you, if he was in a cartoon you’d see his veins pulsing on his forehead.
“He’s Jake!” You exclaimed happily to Heeseung, the effect of the amount of alcohol you drank and the intoxication from weed made you act hyper “I know.” Heeseung replied calmly.
Jake pulled you behind his back “What were you thinking? Making her smoke this shit?”
You frowned “It’s good—“ But Heeseung cut you “Relax man, we were just having fun.”
“This is not having fun.” He took the joint from your hand and threw it to Heeseung “Don’t get her into your addictions.”
Heeseung raised a brow, his expression remaining stoic “She was willing.” Jake snapped back “She’s drunk!”
He took a deep breath and pointed a threatening finger toward Heeseung “Do not pull this ever again.” He stated before taking your hand in his and dragging you out of the party.
Meanwhile, Heeseung smirked as he saw the two of you walk away; Maybe that was when his best friend would finally wake up and realise all the things he was losing.

“Hey!” You exclaimed, trying to pull away from his iron grip “Yunjin is still inside.” Jake let out a small groan “I’ll drive her home later.”
You pulled hard on his hand, making him stop right in front of his crimson car “Let me go.”
Jake’s eyes were full of rage, you were almost scared at their intensity “Are you angry?”
“Yes.” He stated, voice serious “At me?” You asked, your voice was so soft and quiet it made his heart jump out of his ribcage “No, not at you.”
Your eyes were red and bloodshot, your breath heavy “How many did you smoke?” He asked, trying to contain his tone.
You gulped down, lowering your gaze “Two.” Jake nodded and opened the door of his car, letting you in.
“I’m going to kill Heeseung somedays.” He mumbled, walking to the other side and entering the driver seat.
He started the engine and drove in silence, the late hours of the night not as lively as they usually were.
When you reached a stoplight, Jake opened a small bottle of water he had in his car and handed it to you “Drink, I want it all finished before we reach your house.”
You raised a brow, your mind was already puzzled and his actions only added to your confusion “Why?”
“Just listen to me.” He dismissed your question and started driving again while you drank small sips from the bottle.
You soon reached your house, this time Jake parked his car unauthorisedly in front of it, exiting the car to open the door for you.
You looked up at him, your vulnerable state making him want to protect you even more. Damn Heeseung.
“I couldn’t finish it all…” You murmured, showing him only the half-empty bottle of water.
His eyes softened. “That’s ok, at least you drank some.” You smiled up at him and stumbled a little as you tried to reach your house door.
Jake helped you, holding you up with his arms under your armpits “Shoot, Y/N. Why did you drink so much?” He let out a huff, as he was basically supporting all your weight.
You leaned on the wall and handed Jake your purse, not really in the state to open the door.
“What’s the code?” He asked and looked at your door, just to realise there was no code to access inside it, your door still needed a key to be opened.
His stomach dropped, another mental check of how different your lives were “Inside the purse.” You murmured.
Jake nodded and opened your purse, taking out the keys and opening the door, holding it open.
“You’re mad at me?” You asked again, your eyes half-lidded and you could barely hold yourself up— yet you were ever so pretty.
The moonlight shone on you, lighting up your skin, your hair falling down your face, messy but gorgeous. So dishevelled but so pretty.
“No, Y/N. I’m not mad at you.” He repeated, his tone sincere “Then… Then why you ignored me?” You asked, the pout on your lips only making him want to bite on them.
He gave you the purse back and pushed you a little so that you walked in “Go straight to bed, don’t wake your parents up. You don’t want them to see you like this.”
You nodded obediently and Jake caressed your cheek with his thumb before turning around. He stopped right in front of your door and smiled “I’m doing this for you, ma chérie.” And then closed the door.

“Hey man,” Jake greeted Sunghoon as he entered his house, giving him a high five, “Good to see you again.”
“Yeah, glad to see you too.” Sunghoon nodded and closed the door behind his back.
“Am I the last one?” Jake asked, walking to the couch and sitting on it, bouncing a couple of times.
“No,” A wild Jay appeared from the kitchen where he was cooking something for dinner, already busy since late afternoon. “Heeseung texted he’d be late.”
“As always.” Sunghoon rolled his eyes and sat down beside him “I swear, he never changes.”
“Jay told me you will take over your father’s company,” Sunghoon smiled, but it didn’t quite reach his eyes “Congratulations.”
“Yeah.” Jake laughed “Thanks.” Awkward silent filled the room, the only sound being Jay’s pots as he cooked. Sunghoon eyed him up and down, leaning back on the couch and resting his head on his hand “Hadn’t you rebelled to your parents?”
“Rumours fly.” He smiled forcefully “It was just a silly thing. I actually realised I should make them proud after eveything they did for me.”
“And what exactly did they do for you, Jake?” Sunghoon’s voice was low, his gaze piercing.
Jake just cleared his throat and changed the topic “So, how was Paris?” He asked “I know you booked a hotel near the Eiffel Tower. Bet it was awesome.”
Sunghoon tsked “Indeed. I’ll show you the picture if you want.” Jake answered positively when the doorbell rang.
“You get the door, it must be Heeseung.” Sunghoon got up from the sofa and patted his pockets “I’ll search for my phone.”
Jake got up as well and walked to the door, the doorbell rang again and he sighed “Yeah, coming.” He opened it and widened his eyes when he saw another familiar figure beside Heeseung.
He took in the sight of you, wearing comfortable clothes, looking ever so dreamy.
His gaze fixed on the hickey Heeseung made you a couple of days before, now all dark and purplish. He gulped “What is she doing here?”
“I invited her.” Heeseung shrugged, stepping aside Jake and walking inside the house.
You were left with him, staring at each other’s faces, acting as if both of your hearts weren’t pounding “How’s the after effect?”
There was no context but you knew what he meant “Good, I’m a big woman. No joint can kill me.” You replied, walking beside him when no more words were exchanged. Truth to be told the next day you woke up with a throbbing headache, regretting all of your life choices— though the biggest one was the hickey on your neck.
“I thought you didn’t want to hang out on this side of the town.” Jake spoke, his tone sounding mocking. You scowled “Maybe I changed my mind.” You walked faster toward the kitchen where everyone was gathered.
You got to know Jake’s friend group. Aside from Heeseung and him, you had only seen Jay at the last party. You later found out Sunghoon was on a business trip in Paris which was why you hadn’t seen him before, but even if you did he wasn’t the happiest about your presence, so you thought you wouldn’t have been friends.
Jay, on the other end, was sophisticated and kind, the two of them looking ever so the stereotype of rich kids.
Heeseung and Jake were rather normal, they could’ve passed as the kids from your neighbourhood if you didn't know their true identities.
“I brought some snacks.” Sunghoon announced, placing a sachet on the table. He took out all kinds of sweet things, but your eyes lit up at the sight of macaroons.
You had only seen their pictures and let your mind wander at what their taste would be like, but now they were in front of you, so you reached your hand and took one.
“You like ‘em?” Heeseung asked, taking the chocolate flavoured one and eating it “I’ve never tried them.” The whole table fell silent, all the boys stopping in their tracks.
“Never?” Jay questioned and you shook your head “That’s a bummer though, I only bought four for the four of us.” Sunghoon was about to take the vanilla flavoured macaroon out of your hand when Jake slapped it away.
“I don’t like them anyways, she can have mine.” Jay frowned at his friend’s words “You love macar—“ He was shushed by a biscuit placed in his mouth by Jake “I don’t like them.” He repeated.
You bit on the small treat and your eyes formed hearts “It’s so good!” You said, munching on it. And you didn’t know it, but Jake’s heart skipped a beat at the sight of you so happy.
You continued to spend time with them, playfully beefing with Sunghoon as if you weren’t an intruder in his house until they decided to go in the free time room to play billiard.
“But I don’t know how to play billiards.” You pouted, watching all the men gather around the pool table.
“That’s ok, you can just watch.” Sunghoon dismissed you quickly, placing himself in front of you to posionate the balls inside the triangle.
You just scoffed and sat on the kitchen counter, crossing your arms on your chest.
You watched the game develop in front of your eyes, never truly understanding its rules. They were too useless and complicated and you stopped paying attention in the middle.
After what seemed like forever, where you had the time to walk around Sunghoon’s big house three times and even have a chat with his maids — cause apparently, rich kids could even afford maidens — you entered the kitchen again just to see it was empty.
You looked around, checking if anyone was there before following Sunghoon’s previous actions, placing the balls in the triangle to align them.
You didn’t know what they found interesting in billiards, and trying to understand it wasn’t going to get you killed.
You took the cue stick and positioned yourself, copying the boys’ postures.
Something must’ve gone wrong, though, because as you pushed the cue you embarrassingly missed it.
“You are too far with your back.” The same voice that haunted your dreams spoke from behind you, making you flinch.
“Chill, it’s just me.” Jake stated, munching on some chips “Heeseung wondered if you wanted something to eat.”
You smirked, leaning on the table “Heeseung or you?” Jake rolled his eyes but didn’t deny your questioning.
He gulped down his food and stared at you “You want to play pool?”
“I already said I don’t know how to do that.” You repeated, glancing back at the untouched balls “I don’t even understand the rules.”
“Here.” Jake’s accent tickled your ears as he made you turn around with his hands on your hips “Bend just a little.” You didn’t know if his voice was really that low or if he was doing it just to tease you— Whatever was his plan, you were down for it.
“Mh? Like this?” You said with your most innocent voice, bending slightly more on the table, just enough to make your ass touch his front hips.
He let out a faint groan “Yeah.” He tried not to show the effect you had on him and trailed his fingers along your arms until he reached the cue stick in your hands. Goosebumps formed on your skin at the contact.
“Then?” You asked, eager for him to touch you. “Then you place the cue like this.” He shifted your fingers so you could grip it the right way and turned his face, you could feel his breath on your skin and the tip of his nose poking your cheek.
There was also something else poking your ass cheeks, which was why you started moving, briefly. Just to tease him.
“Take the aim.” The combination of his voice and the proximity of your bodies made your mind hazy, making it hard for you to concentrate.
You just let him guide you “And… Shoot.” You pushed the cue between your fingers and finally, all the balls moved around the green table.
One went into the hole and you jumped happily “I did it!” You exclaimed, laughing “You saw?” You asked, turning around.
Jake was staring at you with ever so deep eyes, full of emotions you didn’t quite get but felt inside of you as well “I always see you.”

You weren’t sure why Heeseung invited you to yet another party, or the reason as to why you seemed to be the only girl at a boys hang out, but you weren’t going to complain.
The hotel you guys were staying in was huge, apparently it belonged to Heeseung’s parents and you could have it all for yourself the whole night.
Wearing the best dress you owned you presented yourself at the location beside the raven haired man.
You greeted his friends group and noticed there were many other people, unlike you thought, all partying and dancing together.
It was very different from the ones he usually threw at his house, this one was huge and packed, there was almost no space to go through the crowd.
“And you said I couldn’t bring Yunjin along.” You side eyed Heeseung, earning a shrug. “One girl from the other side is already enough.”
You slapped lightly on his shoulder “Rude.” Heeseung laughed and pushed your back a little. “Go have fun, I have guests to greet.”
Feeling like a mouse surrounded by cats, you made your way through the crowd, trying to ignore the thirsty stares you were receiving. Since that fateful night where you willingly let your heart out for Jake you had become more careful with your possible make outs.
As you turned your face to look at the big pool where people were swimming, you accidentally bumped someone's chest, which made you stumble backwards.
“Sorry,” You murmured, about to walk away when a hand came around your wrist. It wasn’t Jake’s, the one you were used to, it was much rougher and tighter.
You glanced up just to notice a tall guy, probably high judging from his bloodshot eyes and twitching nose. Holy Moly.
That guy lowered to match your height, his hot and smelly breath made your nose scrunch in disgust “Hey, gorgeous.”
Your whole body froze and your heart stopped beating for a few seconds “Uh… Hi.” You laughed awkwardly, trying to remove your hand from his grip.
“You bumped me by mistake?” He asked, getting dangerously close “Or did you want my attention. You didn’t have to pull that act, my attention is all yours now.” His words were so slurred you could barely understand them.
“Actually, it was a mistake.” You said and again tried to pull away from him, but the more you tried the more he got closer.
“Don’t lie.” He whispered and wrapped one arm around your waist. You were trapped, your breath hitching.
“I truly am not.” You pushed his chest away, resulting in him only tightening his grip “Come on… Let’s have fun.”
“She said it was a mistake.” A familiar voice with a thick accent, thicker than usual, commented, placing one hand on the guy’s shoulder.
The guy groaned and raised himself in all his height, turning around in slow motion — or maybe it was just your panicked vision playing tricks — toward Jake.
He stood in front of him, unfazed by how big and tall that guy was as he stared at him with a dark gaze.
“And who are you to interrupt us?” The guy asked, his voice too low for your own likings “Her guy.” Jake said as if it was the most obvious answer, raising a brow.
“So, I suggest you walk the fuck away before I throw one punch on your nose and break it.” You had never seen Jake angry, you had a few fantasies about it, but you would’ve never imagined him being so scary (and hot).
His whole aura was inky, arms crossed on his chest, showing his excessively veiny arms.
That guy was surely drunk but not enough to risk his own life. He raised his hands in a submissive manner and nodded “Alright, sorry man.” Jake tilted his head “It’s not me you have to apologise to.”
He took a moment to comprehend his words “Oh.” He then turned to you and scratched the back of his neck “I’m sorry.” He didn’t wait for your reply and just walked away.
Your eyes then met Jake’s, filled with wrath “I—“ You said but were met by his hand around your wrist, this time your body not repulsing it as that guy’s and he dragged you inside the hotel.
“Jake, let go.” You tried to fight him but he was stronger, dragging you through the corridors until he reached what would’ve been a storage room, full of pillows and sheets supplies “Let go, it hurts.”
Jake loosened his grip “You really have trouble written on your forehead.” He snapped, his breath heavy as he paced around the room “I can’t look away from you that you’re getting yourself into something bad.”
You frowned at his harsh words “That’s not true.” Jake scowled “Is it not? You either get high or almost—“ He couldn’t bring himself to finish his sentence.
“Why do you even care anyways?” You said back, brows knitted “You’re the one who used me.”
Jake stopped in his tracks “Used you?” He got closer to you.
“Yes,” You stepped forward as well. “You just used me, made me think you actually cared about me just to rebel against your parents.”
You gulped, your heart breaking again at the memory “Next thing I know, you’re ignoring me and smiling at a pretty girl.”
“Did you fuck her, Jake?” He was taken aback from your words, placing his hands on your shoulders. You shrugged him off, he still remained in your proximity without touching you.
“I think I lost something here, who was I smiling at?” You clicked your tongue, your hands on your waist as you got frustrated.
“That girl, last Saturday.” You explained “Dark hair, killer body, tall… Come on Jake, just admit it you wanted someone to fuck but I didn’t and so you went with someone else.”
“That’s really not what I did. I would never.” He blinked faintly “That girl, she’s Karina, Sunghoon’s sister.” He then added “I don’t like her, not that way.”
You wanted to scowl at him, but his tone was so serious you found yourself asking “..What?”
“You’re not the problem, Y/N.” Jake said, sighing “It’s me, it’s all my fault.”
You shook your head, confused. “What— Jake, I don’t understand.”
“I shouldn’t have asked you to help me.” He backed up until his back hit the wall, running a frustrated hand in his hair “I exposed you to my parents— I—“
You moved to him, taking his face in your hand “Stop mumbling.” You ordered “Talk to me, what’s wrong?”
Despite the way he treated you in the past week, your touch was still gentle and you worried about him. A spark of hope lit his heart up.
Jake nodded and took a deep breath “My parents… they said that if I didn’t break up with you they’d make yours lose their job. You’d lose your house… I couldn’t do that, Y/N.”
He seemed as if he was slowly loosing his mind. You took in the sight of him, dark circles under his eyes, he looked paler wearing that white shirt. Just what on earth had he been doing?
“They’re powerful, with the amount of money they have they can easily buy your whole neighbourhood and evict you.” He gulped down “So I am preparing to take over the company, to make them happy.”
Your eyes widened at his words, “They threatened you?” You asked, removing your hands from his cheeks to stand properly.
Jake shrugged, “We weren’t together so technically I couldn’t break up with you, but I could stay away if it meant you’d be safe.” He sighed softly, “I told you I’m a bad bet since the first time we met.”
“No,” You shook your head “You aren’t bad, your parents are.”
He scoffed, “And I’m just like them.”
You fisted the collar of his shirt and brought his lips down to yours. He was shocked by your sudden action but he relaxed soon and closed his eyes, kissing you back.
“Say that again and your face will meet my fist.” You breathed out as you pulled away “You don’t get how brave you are? You were about to sacrifice your happiness to save my family… someone you met at a party.”
“You’re not just someone I met at a party.” Jake whispered “In just a couple of days you made my whole life better, you made me realise there’s so much more than what I was used to.”
He placed one hand in your hair, caressing your scalp “I never meant to hurt you, baby.”
Your heart jumped as you heard his whisper, the pet name making your head spin “Later, I want you to explain everything to me everything.” You demanded.
Jake nodded “Everything you want, queen.” Your breath quickened “But for now…” You trailed off and connected your lips again.
You kissed him, roughly and he did it back with the same intensity, having missed the taste of you, the scent of your perfume invading his nostrils, clouding his mind.
“Let me take you home,” He murmured between kisses “In your bedroom.”
You shook your head, stumbling backward and bringing him with you “Can’t wait.”
“You sure about this?” He asked as you got out of the storage room, bodies still tangled “I could be bad, worse than you think.”
You wrapped your arms around his neck and brought him down on you “Then, I wanna find out.”
Jake let out a small groan and resumed kissing you, blindly reaching a doorknob and praying nobody was inside.
He dragged you in and locked the door behind your backs.
Jake pushed you against the wall as he undid the buttons of his shirt while you unbuckled his belt, your lips never leaving each other.
He discarded his shirt and helped you unzip his jeans, throwing all of them somewhere on the floor.
He then removed the straps of your dress, slowly kissing all the way down your neck to your almost exposed chest. He pulled away, enough to look at the now barely-visible hickey Heeseung did.
Jake let out a deep groan “You don’t know how much this drove me insane.” He commented, trailing his thumb over it
“Yeah?” You asked “Were you jealous?”
“I wanted to rip his head off.” He said, kissing you again “Wanted to cover your whole body with hickeys and my marks, just to let him know who you belong to.”
You nodded, “Do it,” You breathed out “Make me yours, Jake.”
He unconsciously bucked his hips to meet yours, his clothed bulge poking your pussy “Fuck baby, you can’t tell me that.” He whispered, attaching his lips on your neck again.
Jake lowered the dress until it rested on your hips, palming your breasts, growling at the feeling.
You gasped when his lips engulfed your nipple, twirling his tongue round it. Your hand went to grasp his hair while the other slowly lowered his boxers until his painful erection was free.
Jake helped you out of your dress and underwear until you were standing in front of each other naked. “I’ll worship your body another time.” He murmured, trailing his fingers down your chest “For now, I just want to fuck you rough.”
You smirked and shook your head, making Jake widen his eyes “You don’t want this? I can stop.”
“No, I want it.” You stated, slowly sinking on your knees “I just need to show you my skills first.”
That was the hottest thing anyone could’ve done to Jake, his cock twitched in front of you. It was huge, veiny and hard, his mushroom tip looking ever so delicious.
“You see, baby? This is what you do to me.” He pumped his shaft, brushing it on your lips.
“Stick out that tongue for me.” You did as told and stuck your tongue out as Jake laid his cock on it, bucking his hips back and forth. The spongy and warm texture already making it leak with precum.
You played with his balls while you took him whole in your mouth, gagging when it hit the back of your throat. The filthy sounds filled the room as he took a hold of your head, fisting your hair in a makeshift ponytail while he thrusted inside your throat.
“So good.” He panted, his head thrown back and brows knitted.
You twirled your tongue around his cock, pumping it with your hands where your lips couldn’t reach “Sucking my cock so well.”
Before you could even register, Jake pulled out and raised you from your armpits, placing you on the bed.
“I need to feel your pussy.” He stated, rubbing your clit with his thumb “Want to use a condom, baby?” He asked, “Just tell me.”
You shook your head, bringing him down onto you in a heated kiss “Fuck me raw.” He moaned in the kiss and fisted his shaft again, gathering your juices, you got so wet even by just giving him a blow.
He slowly inserted himself in you, the stretch causing you to pant. You weren’t a virgin but he was bigger than the ones you had before, so it took a moment for you to get used to it.
Jake’s thrusts were nice and slow at first, his forehead resting on yours “I can’t resist.” He breathed out, giving a deeper thrust “Please, can I move?”
You nodded your head, trying to breathe steadily. Jake raised from you and spread your legs open while he moved inside you. You grasped your tits, palming them while maintaining eye contact with Jake.
“You don’t know how much I wanted this,” He groaned, pulling out just to spit on your hole to fill it again “Pussy so tight can barely move.”
Your hand went down to rub circles on your clit, trying to make it wetter as his thrusts gained speed.
Jake slapped your hand and commanded “Hands around your ankles.” And so you complied.
He leaned down and kissed you sloppily, his hips moving back and forth at a delicious rhythm. You moaned out loud.
Holding your head up to rest his forehead on it, your eyes still locked with the others as your body connected fanatically, Jake twitched inside of you and halted his movements.
“Fuckk, almost came.” He chuckled, pulling out of you.
“Want to last longer than this.” He took your body and turned you around, you raised yourself on your arms and leaned your ass up.
“You like being fucked in doggy, mh?” He spammed your ass “Looking so eager to be fucked dumb, you won’t think about anything but my cock in you.”
Jake pushed himself inside of you again, making you moan out his name “Yes, that’s me.” He groaned “Say it again.”
“Jake.” You gasped, he fisted your hair, making you arch your back while he rutted your body “Oh, Y/N.” He moaned as well.
Putting one hand around your neck, he squeezed it as he threw his own head back, lost in the pleasure your warm walls were giving you.
“Fuck baby, I’m not gonna last long.” He panted, stopping his movements to edge himself “Just fuck me.” You pleaded, frustrated by your own denied orgasm every time he stopped.
“Sorry,” He chuckled, spanking your ass and leaning down to kiss the back of your shoulder “You want to cum?”
You nodded, raising yourself to kiss him passionately as he slowly thrusted inside you “Can you ride me, baby? Pretty please?”
Jake looked so hot, messy bangs sticking to his forehead and heavy breath, you couldn’t do anything but agree to everything he said.
You waited for him to lay down, his back pressed against the headboard of the bed as you straddled him.
You rubbed your wet folds on his hard-on, Jake reached for your tits and squeezed them “Have I ever told you you’re so fucking hot?” He asked.
You chuckled “No, but I already know that.” You winked and raised yourself on your knees, slowly sinking down on his cock.
The stretch was still a little painful, but nothing compared to the pleasure his dick was giving you.
You moved on him, up and down at a slow but deep rhythm, feeling him all as he hit your cervix with each thrust.
Jake moved your hair out of your face, his lips attaching to your boob as if he was a toddler in desperate need of milk.
You moaned, your hands grasping his shoulders as you moved back and forth at a quick speed.
“Oh yes.” He put his hands behind his head and watched as you rode him, your mouth agape, gasping for air while shaky moans escaped your lips “Feels good.”
Your legs started to shake and you could barely keep yourself up as you felt the knot in your stomach tighten “I’ve got you.” Jake noticed and made you lay on his chest, his hands spreading your ass cheeks as he started rutting inside you, his pace so quick you didn’t know it was possible.
Your pussy clenched around his cock, creaming him as you fell apart, your moans loud and whole body shaking.
Jake didn’t stop, he chased his own orgasm which was so close.
“You're just made to please me.” He panted, giving a few more thrusts “You're made to squeeze every drop of cum from my cock.” His eyes rolled back with a low groan as he shot his load, his cock twitching until it emptied in you.
You both stayed there for a while, just trying to steady your breaths and calm your racing hearts.
Jake slowly traced your back with his fingers, a featherlight touch sending shivers all dove your spine.
He pulled out, his cum dripping down from your pussy to your thighs and bedsheets.
Jake helped you sit up and removed a few strands of hair that got stuck to your face “You look gorgeous.” He whispered, earning a smile from you “And you did amazing.”
He cleaned you up and threw the dirty sheets on the floor “I’m sorry for whoever will have to clean them tomorrow.” You commented, grimacing.
“Don’t worry about it,” He soothed, settling himself beside you and holding you on his chest, gently caressing your bare shoulder.
You looked up at him, resting your chin on his shoulder. “You should start making choices for your own happiness, Jake.” You murmured
Jake let out a small sigh “Indeed, I should.” He pressed a kiss on your brow “I want to choose you, not my parents, not anyone else. Only you.” You smiled, “I only want you, too.”
“I’ll find a way to fight my parents, I promise I’ll be stronger this time.” Your eyes softened at his words, you caressed his cheek and he leaned on your palm, melting “Oh Jake, you’re the strongest person I know.” You confessed.
“Really?” He asked, looking like a lost boy, “Really.” You confirmed.
Suddenly, your stomach growled loudly. Jake glanced at his phone he had found in his forgotten jeans and put on the bedside table “It’s late night, ma chérie. You’re hungry?”
You nodded, “I want steak.” Jake snorted at your joke “And I want a burger.” He said back.
“Hanging out with a girl from the other side of the town changed you.” You smirked, nudging his shoulders
“Yeah. For the better.”
THE END.

Bucky woke the next morning in a tangle of sheets and Major. He had to pee, but he didn’t want to get up. God, he never wanted to get up. If he could stay wrapped up with her like this, for the rest of his life, he thought, he would die happy. The very idea struck him like a brick– he’d given a lot of thought to his own death over the years, but never, not once, did he ever consider the possibility that he might actually die happy until this very moment.
If she was in his life when he went, he realized, he very well could.
Major shifted in her sleep and snuggled further into Bucky’s chest with a contented sigh, and he felt his heart swell. If he wasn’t careful, at the rate his feelings were going, he was at risk of proposing to her before lunch.
After about fifteen more minutes of blissfully watching Major sleep in his arms, Bucky couldn’t hold off his bladder any longer. Gently extricating himself from Major’s embrace so as not to disturb her, he pressed a quick kiss to her forehead before heading to the bathroom.
After he’d finished and washed his hands, he made his way back toward Major’s bed. As he passed by the string of clothes he’d discarded the night before, he heard a buzzing coming from his pants. He reached down and pulled his phone from his pocket, checking the caller ID.
Lily. Again.
Bucky sighed and took himself back to the bathroom, quietly closing the door behind him as he accepted the call.
“Hey, Lil, what’s up?” he asked, sitting down on the edge of Major’s whirlpool tub.
“Hey, Jamie,” she said, and Bucky could immediately tell something was wrong. She sounded… off, distressed. “Listen,” she continued, “I know you and Sam probably had a late night last night, and I hate bothering you…”
“What’s wrong, Lil?” Bucky asked, growing concerned now.
“Well, I drove out to Langston Park to run the trails,” Lily began, “and I don’t know if I ran over a nail or had a slow leak, or what, but when I got back to the car, my tire was flat. I was kind of hoping you could meet me up here and help me change it?”
Bucky ran a hand over his stubble. “Shit,” he said. “You know I would in a heartbeat, Lil, but–”
“No, yeah,” Lily interrupted him. “It’s fine, don’t worry. I’m sure someone will drive by and I can flag them down for help–”
“Lily Anne McIntyre, you are not going to wave down a stranger and just hope that they’re not a murderer or a rapist,” Bucky said into the phone, a little louder than he intended. “Listen, I’m on my way, but I’m in the city, so it’s going to take me a little while, okay? Just… just stay in your car with the doors locked until I get there.”
“Oh my gosh, thank you so much, Jamie!” Lily’s voice was full of relief. “You’re my hero! I owe you, big time!”
Bucky cracked a smile. “Yeah, yeah,” he said. “Give me about forty-five minutes to get to you, okay? And remember, lock. your. doors.”
“I promise,” Lily agreed before ending the call.
Bucky stood up from the edge of the tub and went back into the bedroom and quietly put his clothes back on. Sitting down at the edge of Major’s side of the bed, he leaned down and began pressing kisses to her shoulder and collarbone until she stirred and started to stretch.
With a lazy moan that sent the blood straight to Bucky’s dick, Major sleepily blinked her eyes open. “Why are you wearing so many clothes?” she asked him, her voice seductively husky with sleep. “Come back to bed.”
Bucky wanted to. Oh god, he really, really wanted to. “I’m so sorry, sugar,” he told her, leaning down to give her a proper kiss.
“Bucky,” she laughed, pulling back from him, “I just woke up; I’m sure I have horrible morning breath.”
“Like I would ever care.” He cupped her face in his hands and brought his lips to hers, gently running his tongue along her lips so she opened her mouth to him.
After a long moment, they broke apart, and Bucky rested his forehead against hers. “I don’t want to leave you,” he said softly. “But I’ve got to go.”
Major nuzzled her cheek against his. “So, don’t,” she murmured. “Stay.”
Bucky sighed. “I can’t. Lily’s got a flat tire; she’s waiting on me to come help her change it.”
Major let out a puff of air through her lips. “Well, give me five minutes to get dressed and I can come with you,” she offered hopefully.
“I’d love that, doll,” Bucky said, frowning, “but Lily’s still pissed off about the bar and…” he ran a hand behind his neck, suddenly realizing how stupid this was going to sound, “I haven’t told her I’ve been seeing you.”
The change that came over Major was nearly imperceptible, but Bucky clocked it, all the same. Her eyes narrowed, her shoulders tensed and she pulled back from him by a hair.
“So,” Major began slowly, “where did she think you were last night when she called you, then? You said you’d already told her what you were up to. If she didn’t know you were with me, what did she think you were doing?”
“I told her I was having a guys’ night out in the city with Sam,” Bucky admitted, hating himself now for even deeming the lie necessary in the first place.
“I see.” The words were clipped, Major’s voice void of any emotion, and Bucky knew he’d fucked up. Immensely. “Well, you better get going, then, if Lily’s waiting on you.”
“Major.” Bucky put a hand on her arm, but she got up out of the bed, dragging the topsheet with her to wrap around herself and keep her body covered from him, as if now, suddenly, after everything they’d already done together, she no longer wanted him to see her naked. “Can we just–”
“You should go, Bucky,” she said again, not meeting his eye, and Bucky felt like absolute shit.
“Can I call you later?” he asked, and he heard the note of desperation in his own voice, but Major just shrugged a shoulder. He tried to lean in to her to give her a kiss goodbye, but she stood there, still as a statue, so he simply pressed his lips to her forehead and sighed before showing himself to the door.
He’d fucked up. He’d fucked up, and he’d blown it. She’d probably never want to see him again, and honestly, could he blame her? He’d lied about being with her, like she was some kind of dirty secret. Sam had been right, though Bucky would never admit it to him. Why was he letting Lily’s opinion dictate how he lived his life?

Won’t Want For Love (2/6)
Pairing: Edwin Payne/Charles Rowland
Rating: T
Word Count: 1.500
Read on AO3
„We should go a date“, Charles says on a perfectly bland Tuesday, looking up at Edwin from whatever he is doing at the moment. If Edwin wasn’t dead already, he would suspect that Charles is trying to kill him. or: Five times Charles takes Edwin on a date to figure out if he could fall in love with him, and one time when he has an answer.
tagging all the lovely people who wanted to give this fic a read: @itsablueberrycow @piristephes @assignedpeanutallergyatbirth @mylu @oneweirdbean @lifeinvirtualreality
“A movie?”, Edwin asks, and Charles nods, almost a little too enthusiastic. He is aware that Charles enjoys movies quite a lot, and Edwin has to admit that there have been those that also captured Edwin’s imagination, but…
“Is that not quite antithetical to the idea of a date?”, he asks, slightly puzzled. Granted, he doesn’t have much experience, but it seems like a pastime that decidedly doesn’t invite conversation. “I was under the impression that dating was mainly about getting to know someone, not sitting next to them in silence while being entertained by something external from both of you.”
His confusion is obviously highly entertaining to Charles, who starts laughing even before Edwin has finished speaking. “Edwin, mate. That’s the most you thing you could have possibly said”, he explains while still chuckling, and Edwin would be miffed, if Charles didn’t sound so fond while saying it. “I’m pretty sure the point of it is to talk about the movie afterwards. And, you know. Maybe hold hands in the dark or something.”
“But I will know what you will think about the movie”, Edwin answers, still befuddled, and resolutely ignores the implication of holding hands, because even if it is, of course, impossible, he feels like he is blushing just thinking about it. On cases, they have held hands before, for spells or as not to lose each other in the dark, but that was before. Now, it would mean something, and now, he cannot even consider it without wanting it with an intensity that is almost frightening.
“Oh, I know”, Charles replies and he’s still smiling, still sounds fond. “That’s exactly why I want to take you to see one.”
Charles, of course, takes him to see a movie. He is excited about it, too, to the point where Edwin cannot even pretend to mind it, because his eyes are glowing with joy when Edwin eventually agrees to it, because he talks Crystal into getting them physical tickets (“So we can keep them, of course! I think that would be nice, having something to remember our second date by, don’t you, Edwin?”), because he dresses up nice again, as if his state of dress could ever matter to Edwin. And, of course, because of one very simple reason: he genuinely seems to want to take Edwin out on a date.
Although he tries his best not to take it too seriously, since Charles just gets like this sometimes, excited and almost overwhelming in his happiness, it’s difficult not to when it’s this. Because the thought that maybe, just maybe, Charles thought the first time he took Edwin out was a success (he cannot bring himself to call it a date, not now, maybe not ever), is almost too much to bear.
The thing is, Edwin never expected Charles to reciprocate his feeling.
Looking back, he isn’t even sure if it was part of his thought process, if he considered the possibility before he was standing on the steps to Hell, looking at Charles and thinking, I’m so glad he knows he’s loved.
So, the thought that Charles is considering it, giving it a chance, giving Edwin a chance, is almost unfathomable.
And yet, Charles is standing in front of him, the biggest smile on his face, because he gets to take Edwin out again. It’s very difficult not to hope at least a little.
“You alright there, mate?”, Charles asks, brows furrowed, and Edwin realises he must have spaced out for a few moments. He should say no, be honest, but instead he nods so he can watch the smile bloom again on Charles’ face. “Aces”, Charles says and he is right, it is aces, it’s magnificent, it’s brills, it’s every other positive adjective Edwin can think of, because they are on a date together and Charles is looking at him like he really wants to be here.
In the end, Edwin can’t even remember the title of the movie, nor the contents of it (there were explosions in it, he’s fairly certain, one or two scenes that made Charles chuckle), and not for not trying, either. It’s not his fault at all, in fact, that he hardly paid attention to any of it, but Charles’.
For not even five minutes into the film, Charles had taken his hand. Not to show Edwin something, not to drag him somewhere, but just sitting there, Charles had taken his hand and woven their fingers together like he didn’t mean to let go and then he just… hadn’t. Instead, he had held Edwin’s hand for the entirety of it, sometimes squeezing it, presumably if something exciting was happening on screen.
Which Edwin wouldn’t, couldn’t have noticed, because, well. Because Charles had been holding his hand. It had been the strangest thing, because it had felt so natural, like something they had been doing for decades; because it had felt like the single most thrilling thing to happen to Edwin in the entirety of his existence.
Of course, he couldn’t really feel Charles’ fingers in his, but he knew them to be there anyway, like he could feel Charles’ energy brushing up against his, and it had been… glorious. It had been warm and familiar and electrifying, and more than enough to make focussing on anything else impossible, lest he miss a second of it.
Which poses one unfortunate problem: Charles asks him about the film when they are leaving the theatre amidst the crowd, a stranger’s arm phasing through the graceful arch of his shoulder.
“Well”, Edwin starts, certain that if he had the appropriate anatomy still, he would be blushing. “I am not entirely certain, I’m afraid. It seems I was a little… compromised during it.”
He cannot say it out-loud, so instead, he just raises their hands, because their fingers are still intertwined, and Charles stops moving in the middle of the hallway to look at him. Edwin stops, too, can’t really do anything but that, unless he lets go of Charles’ hand.
“You don’t know if you liked the movie because we were holding hands during it?”, Charles asks to clarify, sounding amazed and slightly disbelieving still. And Edwin has to nod, and although it should be humiliating, it isn’t, because Charles’ fingers tighten around his reflexively, almost like he doesn’t want to let go, either. His lips part as if he wanted to say something, but then Charles just ducks his head, smiling, before he looks up at Edwin a few seconds later.
“That’s pretty cute, actually”, he states like it’s a confession of some sort, and Edwin’s very soul seizes up, curls around that word. Cute. “And, like. I enjoyed it, too. It’s nice, feeling that you’re next to me.”
And when Edwin doesn’t answer, because how could he, when he wouldn’t be able to remember how to breathe if he still had to do so, he squeezes Edwin’s hand again, deliberately this time. “But don’t worry, mate. You would have hated it anyway.”
“You know, I was thinking, maybe we should make this a more regular thing”, Charles says when they are walking home, because Charles is still insisting on this, and if Edwin is honest to himself, he finds that he doesn’t mind. It’s a nice thought that Charles might not want to let the evening end, because Edwin feels the same, and not only because they are still holding hands. “What do you mean?”
Charles grins and Edwin is so weak around him, it’s preposterous. But then again, maybe it’s not his fault, maybe it’s just Charles, maybe everyone around them feels like their knees might give out under them when Charles smiles at them like this. He’ll have to ask Crystal about that in a quiet moment.
“You know, give it some regularity. We could do every second Wednesday of the month”, Charles replies easily, “Gives me a bit of time to plan and you won’t have to look like a very frightened deer every time I bring it up.” Again, that smile, so bright it almost lets Edwin forget to be offended.
“I absolutely do not look like a deer in any way whatsoever”, he still shoots back, even if a moment too late. He has a reputation to uphold after all. “You kind of do, though”, Charles tells him, his nose scrunching up a little. “It’s cute. But I would rather have you not scared, so what do you say? Monthly date nights?”
There it is again, that word. Cute. Edwin tries his best not to think too much of it, lest he stop thinking about anything else.
“That would be agreeable”, he replies. Cute. “Is there a reason for it to be the second Wednesday?” And Charles reacts like he has been shot, putting one hand across his unbeating heart and pulling a face, eyebrows drawn together like Edwin has wounded him deeply.
“Edwin”, he all but whines, looking at him with wide brown eyes, glittering with mirth in the glow of the street lights. “Don’t tell me you’ve forgotten our first date already! That was on the second Wednesday. As is this one, actually.”
And he’s right; it’s the most thoughtful thing anyone has ever done for him, and Edwin grips Charles’ hand as tightly as he can, and tries his best to think anything but please, let me have this. I’ll never ask for anything else. Just this.

For Erriox it was a purely mechanical need. And just a brief application of force and again a mechanical gesture and normally any unneeded arousal was taken care of. He huffed in annoyance as today that simple and quick method wasn't working for him. Lenora was gone for awhile which left him either taking care of his need or ignoring it.
Just some extra care as Lenora would put it... his calloused hand slick with lotion moves along his cock as he enjoys himself. No real fantasy coming to mind just the feeling of his hand around his own cock... feeling the rough tightness as he lazily pumps his cock through his fist.
He didn't mean to think about Lenora... at first he kept dismissing those thoughts... but just the way she says his name... the slight roll she does with the r's when she says his name a certain way. He closes his eyes as Erriox swallows gathering saliva trying to push the thoughts away.... Lenora was nothing but nice to him... had opened her home to him... and he wasn't going to... to... he groaned softly as he thought about the way her short nails feel against his scalp as she runs her fingers through his salt and pepper hair. Hearing her coo to him asking if he liked that... her nails being too short to catch the scalp scars he has in a painful way.
Curse his mind as it starts to stitch together what he knows about her... he knows how much she weighs and his fist around his cock starts to adjust... and his mouth feels dry yet he knows he is drooling. Lenora wasn't unattractive to Erriox... just he hardly looked at mortals that way... he remembers the sight as he doesn't care why she was jumping but his brain is hyperaware of the way her hair bounced about freely... but also the way her breasts moved under her clothes.
Erriox groans out loud as he lays back spreading his legs as he starts to buck his hips in earnest. The slick noise that his cock and hand together make are a poor substitution for what noise her wet sex would make. Her nails and her own calloused hands against his stomach as she bounces on his cock... the faint blush over her cheeks and breasts as Lenora pants doing her best to ride him. Erriox like most Iron Warriors was stocky so even her own muscled thighs would be spread wide, having to rely more on her hands to help push her up to properly ride him.
He wouldn't let her struggle for long... his hands wrapping around her thighs maybe moving to her ass as he bucks his hips up hearing her gasp loudly as she would stop moving just feeling him thrust deep into her core. "Lenora." Erriox moaned as he squeezed his cock but kept thrusting through it.
He would thrust hard enough for her to have to rest one arm under her breasts as perhaps he was thrusting in a way to cause them to bounce. She would moan his name... mewl it... pant it... it would fall from her lips again and again. Erriox grunts as his bed makes no noise, no betrayal of what he was doing.... "Be good for me and cum on my cock." He lets the words that were suppose to stay in his head slip from his lips.
He imagines she orgasams with his name on his lips... a gasp and Erriox squeezes his cock once more moaning her name as those hot ropes of cum shoot out; being so pent up it seems as some of it hits a scar on his left pectoral. Erriox laid on the bed feeling spent and relief but with some nagging guilt in his stomach and a new need... he cared about Lenora and felt guilty of using her as a source of pleasure but she now was the source of the new need.
Erriox simply hoped she wouldn't fall asleep against him any time soon. He finally got up to clean the mess he made.

Reincarnation (Penguin x Reader)
Penguin x Reader
Tags: Angst, reincarnation, short, gender-neutral. 2nd person
Summary: Reader eats a Devil Fruit that keeps them living forever. Over the years, they've seen different reincarnation of Penguin. Falling in love with him each time and seeing the patterns of his lives.
Devil fruits are rare nowadays, the past of the New World and pirating is seemingly gone. Thousands of years of living really taught you that everything comes again. Every person is reborn into a different cycle. Perhaps one lifetime they were a medical doctor and the next, a teacher.
It was an idea to some that reincarnation was a thing, but to you, it was reality. The devil fruit you ate centuries ago still kept you going. Looking like you did on the day you bit into its bitter flesh. The day you wondered if you should regret.
Thoughts roamed your mind off and on as you watched towns, cities, and even empires be destroyed and rebuilt. The government falls and is pulled back up. Those you would see be brought back through the cycle to remember nothing of you. It was a lonely existence.
Yet, when his cycle hit, you waited. Bated breath, you waited for the connecting paths to cross as they always did. The first time, it was a hunter in a small collection of humans. He wore the fur of animals over his head to protect his eyes from the sun. A common trait of his. With a gentle smile, he’d reach for you. Offering his hand for you to follow him, to be with him, to stay.
The last time, he was a pirate. How he would wear a silly hat with a penguin on top, only to find out that would be his name this time. How your first time would be him reaching for your hand, asking if you were okay as you tripped on the dirty road. The same shadowed eyes. It was too much like the first that you just started crying. He panicked and quickly made sure you were okay, which just made you cry more.
After that, you were just with him. Watching how his pirate lifestyle would make him so similar to that first hunter. The spear really driving the point deeper as it was his weapon of choice. You’d smile at his from afar, watching him do his tasks and talk to those you remembered. The orca lover bearing a resemblance to every best friend he had. After living that pirate life, he had a feeling you weren’t going to be buried with him. And like the first life, he never asked why. For him to be able to look at you as such an old age with such love had you cry each time. Yet he’d always remind you in each cycle, in each life, “I’d love you again and again in another time if you gave me the chance.” He was always right.
This cycle had you worried though, you hadn’t seen him since his pirate life and much had changed. Technology spiked and the water levels had finally gone down. The government does not have as much power as they once did. It seemed like a long lasting civilization. Which meant more people were born. The most you had seen. It was scary to know that perhaps… you wouldn’t see him this time. You wouldn’t get to spend his life holding his hand, unable to tell him that you had done it once and many times before.
Even if you were to explain you ate an extremely rare Devil Fruit… you doubt he’d believe. Letting out a heavy sigh, you were starting to lose hope on the fact you’d see him. Your heart was yearning for the that tender love you remembered he’d give. That smile he’d always grow when seeing you. Those hands that were firm yet gentle to hold you with.
The tears came like clockwork as you finally had enough. Stepping into an alleyway, you bent down to slightly sob. You couldn’t shake away the heart that had been broken and repaired too many times. The fruit you ate finally settling into a curse. Tears stained your hands and shirt as you did you best to see through all the emotions.
A packaged ice cream bar found it’s way into your vision which confused you a bit. Looking up and sniffling, you saw him. A hat hiding those eyes and a smile that melted you. He held out the ice cream and offered it.
“Don’t know why you’re crying, but ice cream makes everything better.” he grinned, waiting for you to take it. Taking a moment to process everything, you slowly took the package. Standing up, you tried your best to clean yourself up.
“Thank you..” you rasped out, clearing your throat after.
“Of course. I hope you feel better.” handing you a small tissue, you watched as he waved a goodbye. Blotting your eyes with the tissue, you soon began to realize that perhaps… perhaps fate always planned you two to be connected.
Opening the ice cream, you realized… it was your favorite flavor.

''Fight and Die'' Slightly darkAemond x AFAB Reader 18+ MDNI PART 6!
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Aemond x fem oc/reader
Tags: Show setting, abusive brother (but its not aemond) mentioned of forced marriages and duels, mentions of parental loss.
🔷Summary: Your ancestors once betrayed the Targaryens and paid a high price. Now you are back at court with your brother, who hopes to sell you in exchange for his freedom.
🔷Author's note: It might still be a little darkish but not as dark as usual. I think this is the closest to show aemond I ever got. So he still is not a unicorn yall but he is at least imo he is decent and nice.
🔷Wordcount :3347
Warnings below the cut
WARNINGS: Gore, mentions of assault (but it doesnt happen, and its not aemond who wants to do it) mentions of blood, gore, and violence as well as miscarriages (oc's mother)
Blood does not scare you. It once did, but not anymore.
It is liquid, water in a way. And there is nothing more natural to you than water.
Just funny coloured water that comes pouring out of your body if you are injured.
You came into this world, covered in blood as your mother bled out on the sheets, according to Fyrand. You were screaming and crying, kicking and alive. Despite Maesters feared the worst, despite your enemies hoping the worst, you came out alive.
And you did just that.
Time and time and time again.
Whenever you see blood, it brings you back to a distant but fresh memory. Not your birth. You don’t recall what your own mother looked like. You never saw a portrait, or anything. You never dared to ask Fyrand either. Your mother is a wound that never healed.
So, another memory surfaces from the dark instead. A dark memory of you, standing on a ship, during a storm. Your brother close to you, his fingers holding a crown. Your family’s crown.
You recall how badly the ship and the men smelled. Like piss, like beer, like all unpleasant unladylike things. Like hell, if you are being honest. You never had any man eye you with desire, but in that very moment you had. The captain of the pirateship couldn’t keep his eyes off from you.
Fyrand had made a deal, selling the crown for passage to Westeros. But the Captain had decided he wanted more. He wanted you. ‘’Westeros is a boring place. It would be best to have her stay here.’’ You remember the way his crew laughed, that sickening, twisted laughter.
Fyrand has never been kind to you. But he was not stupid either. He would not give up his pawn to a mere pirate. Not when he already offered the crown of his mother.
It is funny how the gods have a sense of humor, as that man that wanted to marry you, too missed an eye. And his teeth were almost falling from his mouth, caused by rotting.
Fyrand huffed, took the crown and left the ship, dragging you with him. But you were denied access and grabbed. The captain placed his dagger against your throat. He hissed that you needed to be quiet and that Fyrand had to make a choice. ‘’Either your sister gives me her hand, or you do.’’ You weren’t sure what you ever did to that man. But you noticed a golden sealion that day. A few weeks after the attack, you found out your house tried to destroy that house. He was taking revenge for a crime none of you were even alive to remember.
You remember how you screamed when Fyrand took a sword of a crewmember and placed it at his left wrist, and just chopped. The flesh teared, blood poured and the captain finally released you as you sobbed on the deck, hearing Fyrand’s roar of pure pain and agony. The hand wasn’t off fully. It remained, tangling by pieces of flesh, as a leaf dancing in the wind. You felt your stomach turn and whatever meal you had would soon come back up. The captain approached Fyrand, grabbed his hand, and just pulled, tearing the flesh fully as Fyrand threw his head in his neck and screamed.
After that, somehow, you were both allowed to stay. It was a uncomfortable journey for you, but no incidents had happened aside from people calling ‘’doll’’ and smirking whenever you passed.
You and Fyrand shared one room aboard, and in that room, you stitched close his wound with a needle and ripped threads from one of your dresses. You never had stitched a wound before and Fyrand didn’t have anything to soften the pain. You were afraid at first. But you knew he would die if you didn’t get over it. So you pierced his skin and started stitching, bringing the wound flesh close, and tied it close.
It is strange.
Many years and moons have passed since that night but you can still hear your brother scream and picture his hand, the way the blood sprayed out of his hand, coloring the deck red as the pirates cheered.
Aemond does not seem to notice that you are not there anymore, but your feet become quicker as if you are a dancer that takes the lead and your breath increases. Aemond, Aemond doesn't notice. In truth, Aemond seems happy. Almost dazed, enchanted or drugged. He can't seem to stop smiling as you drag him with you, faster and faster as memories plague your mind.
You think back of the conversation the two of you had earlier. How Ser Criston was allegedly a good sword fighter. How good can he be, if he injured the Prince? “I thought you told me that Ser Criston was an excellent swordsman?” Your voice sounds snappy, angry and furious.
Aemond barely hides his chuckle. You turn around to look at him, so he can see the pain and worry in your face. The moment he sees how much this hurts and worries you, the smile dies. He steps forward. You back away at first but he bumps into you anyway. Clumsily he grabs you gently and kisses your forehead. “He is, Revaera. It was a small cut and my own fault. I got too impatient. I am many things, patient is not one of my qualities.”
You smile, mischievously and play with the pins on his shirt, touching his chest. “Someone should teach you patience. I don't want you injured.” You tell him, kissing his cheeks.
He breaks into a grin, a stunning bright grin that lights up your entire world. You feel your cheeks warm and are pressed against his body. “Maybe you can teach me.” He whispers, seductively. You like the way he has you where he wants you to. You feel safe and relax, until you see that the wound still drips with blood. You stare at it, as the world seems to fade.
“We need a maester.” You hear Aemond say, but you don’t react. This time, he needs to drag you with him.
You and Aemond soon find the maester in his room. It is nicely decorated and as you assumed, it has dozens of books. You wonder if the Maester himself wrote anything. The maester in question is a bald man, wearing classical robes and a chain, as you suspected. He is reading a big book that lies in front of him on the desk, not paying the two of you any attention.
That is until you speak, pushing Aemond in his direction, surprising the young prince, who stumbles on his feet, his good eye widened in surprise. ‘’He is hurt. The prince is injured.’’ You speak, your voice clear and calm.
You expect perhaps some urgency. Perhaps a worried glance. You don't expect what happens.
The maester slams his book closed, his eyes full of fear and terror as he looks at Aemond. ‘’What? Where? Show me!’ He cries out. The chair he was sitting on falls on its back and you watch, a bit flustered.
Even Aemond seems shocked.
That was perhaps not a good idea.
You feel terrible when the concerned and dutiful Maester looks at the tiny cut in Aemond’s hands. You really scared the poor man and avoid his eyes for now on.
Aemond chuckles, smiling at you as if you are his whole world. You don’t understand why, you scared a poor man, and you also made a scene. Yet he seems to appreciate it.
You think back of his words. Earlier, he mentioned that his father wouldn't even notice if he did not attend the supper you two skipped. What was that supposed to mean?
The maester allows himself to calm down, sighing with relief as he takes in Aemond's injury. He looks at the cut. ‘’O. A small cut.’’ The maester says, after studying it. “Luckily it looks like a clean one. Did you injure yourself when fighting?” He asks prince Aemond.
Aemond turns his head away, so that is a yes. “It was just a scratch, but Revaera insisted.” Aemond should be annoyed or fed up with your behavior but instead he smiles adoringly at you, holding your hand in his free one as the maester looks closer at the wound.
‘’You have a protective wife, my prince.’’ The maester comments kindly. “It is Princess Revaera, is it not?” He asks you, and you can tell by his piercing glare that he knows all too well who your family is.
You nod. The maester does not say anything but his look says it all. Disapproval.“To have a Marthyralys back in the castle. Your ancestors left a colorful mark on Westeros's history books.” You know he is right. You know your ancestors killed a lot of people. But is it really the time to have that conversation? And is it really up to him to judge you for the crimes of your ancestors?
Any other day you might have reconsidered: This man has a story, same as you. Maybe he is a family member of someone killed. Or maybe he simply wants to keep the castle and the royal family safe.
But you can't stop the words rolling off your tongue. You can’t stop the fire that burns in your veins. “So did any family worth their salt.”
The maester makes a disapproving grimace. Next to you, Aemond nods approvingly as his wound is cleaned, smirking proudly.
The Maester turns to Aemond, tying the bandage over his cutted hand. “A fierce wife. You do best to muzzle her. I'm not so sure Westeros is ready for such a free spoken woman.” You wonder instantly if the Targaryens knew you were hiding in Pentos. You told Aemond, you assume the court knew but why does a Maester know this? A maester, who knows everything about curing a illness….
And causing one.
You look at Aemond and he seems to know you caught on too, quickly scratching behind his ear and turning his head away once more. You will talk with him about that. But you have another problem. The Maester is right.
You embarrassed Aemond. You spoke out of line. You threw a tantrum like some little girl. You disappointed him beyond words.
Aemond speaks, and you can't even look at him. You really aren't cut out to be a Princess. “She has become quite fierce. I don't mind it one bit, however. She can speak however she wishes.” He says, fierce and protective. He kisses your knuckles as a token of appreciation and love. Then his gaze hardens when he looks at the Maester. “Westeros might not be ready for her, but she is ready for Westeros. Whether it likes it or not; Here she is and here she'll stay. Am I understood?” You beam, pleased as the Maester visibly cowers, afraid of the temper of the Prince.
You see the Maester gulp and know that Aemond has made his point very clear.  “Yes, my prince.” The maester mutters.
Aemond smiles, barely hiding his pride, that you are his wife. ‘’I am truly blessed. My princess has enough worries on her mind. She does not need this as well.” there is a barely hidden warning there. The maester must not disturb you.
The maester does as he is told, and you and Aemond soon leave his rooms. You walk back with him, your left hand into his injured right one. You try not to think of how your brother lost his own hand. But that is difficult.
You two walk in a peaceful silence and when Aemond speaks, you nearly jump out of your skin. “How has your day been?” You think back of your talk with Fyrand. A baby must soon be made. A child. A heir. And you hate how your memories keep haunting you, whenever you see blood.
And there’s something else.
On your wedding day, Princess Rhaenyra said something that haunts you still. She said she had her ‘’own’’ maesters. Is that a good thing? Or a bad thing? And can you even trust them? And why did she tell you, of all people?
Aemond is unaware your thoughts are gathering and forming a storm in your head. “What hobby did you pick?” He asks Excited to know your answer  as you remain silent.  You freeze. You had forgotten all about that. You would try to find something to entertain yourself. To bring him joy, rest, and so that he doesn’t have to worry when doing his duties.
Some wife you are.
“Uhm, well…I…” You laugh first then you become nervous, as the walls seem to close around you and your breath quickens.
You laugh, begin to breathe harder and eventually you become dizzy. You sway on your feet and begin crying as the air is taken from your lungs, as you collapse to the ground.
Aemond is shocked at first. He kneels down by you right away however. “Calm, my love. I am not mad. Calm.” He whispers, holding you by your wrists, gently so you may be free any moment you want. He also allows you room to breathe and takes deep breaths with you. You follow his example and soon you feel better and calm and stand back up, with his help.
He kisses you after you have stopped crying too. “I had a change of heart. If it truly makes you that anxious to be outside of my rooms, if it truly upsets you so much…” He swallows and looks at the tiles, clearly ashamed he encouraged you.
That's all he did. Encourage you. To be free. To be happy. To let your trauma go. To live your life. Maybe he is right. “No, maybe you were right. Maybe I need this push.” You speak.
He shakes his head. “I don't want to become someone you fear or worse, hate.” He whispers.
You could never hate him. “You were only worried for my own wellbeing and safety. You were right, Aemond. I can't stay cooped up in your rooms as some chicken.” No matter how safe you feel there. “No matter how comfortable your bed is.” You add, to jest. He takes it well and laughs, grinning.
Aemond helps you stand, testing if you can remain on your own two feet before letting you go. “How about we try to find something fun to do tomorrow? I never showed you the city. We can do that, should you wish for it.” King's Landing.
You have never seen it. Only heard stories. Stories of fierce men and dangerous dragons and treason and loyalty. “Your ancestors built this city side by side with mine. I know my family wants to erase you from our accomplishments. I know your ancestor was a great traitor. But he is not the only Marthyralys that lived. There are dozens before him that advised and counseled my family…” He is right. You know he is.
But…
Seeing your own history…
You aren’t sure you are ready for that.
Your ancestors might have build this city…
But they build it over the grave of millions.
Is it truly something to be proud of?
But Aemond doesn’t seem to know shame when it comes to history. “So, you could learn your history and ancestry, should you wish it.” He finishes a bit shy, and that makes you understand how important this is to him. He wants to show you the city he grew up in. He wants to spend time with you and to hold your hand as you walk through stinking streets as two ordinary people in love.
“Is that even allowed?” You ask. You doubt his father will approve. The king hates you, you are certain of it. And to have a Marthyralys wonder the streets, learn about Targaryen secrets and plots…
He chuckles. “I'm the Prince. You are the Princess. Asides, how can we learn from our mistakes if we do not acknowledge them?” He asks, and there he makes a good point.
Still, you aren’t sure. “That is true.” You mutter.
He breaks into a grin, victorious at last. “It stands then.” He kisses your cheeks and you are reminded of what you and Fyrand discussed. His baby. Aemond kisses increase as he leaves a trail of kisses on your collarbone, his smile something between a smirk and a smile as he softly pins you against the walls of the hallway, quickly looking around for servants or any other witnesses.
You tremble. And just like that, the spell is broken.
Aemond's good eye closes suspiciously, and the sweet kisses end. “What is it?” It is terrifying how well he can read you already.
You know he wants a baby.
You know so.
And you can’t say that you don’t want that. That you can’t want that. That you are terrified of dying like your mother. “Nothing.”
He scoffs, concern written all over his face as his body language changes from excited to worry. “There clearly is. Tell me what is the matter? I do wish us to discuss this.” You nod, and Aemond allows you to leave the wall.
You go to his bedchamber, tears burning in your eyes and you hear his footsteps, never that far behind you.
Aemond closes the door and waits for you to explain yourself. You sit down on his bed, sniffling.  “Fyrand has been pressuring me about a baby.” You admit.
At first he is confused. “A baby?”
You wipe away at your tears, furiously that this makes you so upset. Giving Aemond a child, an heir, making princes and princesses, it should be the highest honor. So why does this terrify and hurt you so deeply? “Yes. A heir for you. For your father too.” You blurt out.
Aemond raises a brow.
“You want to carry my father's heir?”
You would rather die. Disgusted, you shake your head. “No! I meant, I'd give you a son, and him a grandchild. According to Fyrand that will disincrease the hate he has for me.’’
Aemond scoffs, and you can tell he does not agree with that idea. He scoffs at Fyrand, not you. “My brother thought the same thing for a while. But nothing will please that old buffalo.” You keep crying. No matter how eager you are to stop.
Aemond sighs, and he soon joins you on the bed, sitting next to you. He grabs your hands, where you are pulling your skin, to stop just that. “I know it is expected of both of us to soon present our child at court.” You nod at his words.
But he grabs your hands tightly and kisses your knuckles. “But I want us to have that child, when you want to have a child.” You are shocked.
He continues, storking your belly through your gown. “I want you to glow, beam of pride and joy and to stroke and caress your belly and to love our child. I want you to be ready for it.” He says.
You can’t believe this.
And so you won’t. “But what of your legacy? The Targargen line? Don't you want my baby?” You ask. You can’t imagine Aemond being fine with his line dying out. You just can’t.
He grins, and you can tell he is hiding something from you. He cares. He cares so badly, about having his legacy, about having this child with you. He is hiding his own darkest desires, his own insidious thoughts. ‘’I want you. I married you. I didn't marry your title. I didn't marry your bloodline. But you, Revaera.’’ You tear up, lips trembling as you wrap your arms around his neck, burying yourself in the safety of his arms. “It's alright, my love. Just let it out.” He whispers, holding you. ‘’We will find a way. I just know we will.’’ You nod, and you wonder just how much he believes his own lies.

Hi please do more ponyboy x reader I’m begging there’s not a lot :(
୧ ׅ𖥔 ۫ how you get the girl ⋄ 𓍯
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
…in which, you find a folded piece of paper in pony’s room labeled, “how you get the girl.”
tags/warnings: established relationship/early stages, reader is shorter than pony, pony’s a FUCKING LOSER, teasing on readers end, reader’s a dickhead (lovingly).
ೃauthor notes⁀➷ this is totally based off of a miles fic i read long ago but the idea has been jammed into my head
‘how you get the girl.’
…huh?
you just thought it’d be a silly funny idea to snoop around in his room when he went to bathroom.
of course, since you’re you, you found a piece of paper—you just had to open it!
“step 1. be cool. (WARNING: DO NOT ASK DALLAS FOR HELP!) maybe soda could help? he got sandy. he’s pretty cool.”
yeah. maybe asking dallas for help isn’t the best option when trying to get girls.
is this what he wrote to help ask you out?
this paper seemed old, stains and rips were on every corner and centre of the paper.
“step 2. look cool. maybe steal some of paul newmans looks? maybe darry has some old shirts? (SODA SAID LESS HAIR GREASE.)”
soda was right. he did look better with less grease. you never got why he thought soda was the better looking brother, when pony’s fresh out of the shower and he’s sprawled over the couch, he looks like a greek god.
maybe you’re just whipped.
“what’s that?”
you jumped out of your skin, being quick to hide the paper. you nervously chuckled, tucking your hair behind your ear.
“i-uhm,”
ponyboy tilted his head to the side, trying to catch a glimpse of what you’re hiding.
“what’s the paper?”
he looked suspicious of you, his brows were pinched together as he took a few steps toward you.
“just a paper a friend gave me.”
“what’s it say?”
“nothing.”
you unconsciously loosened your grip on the paper, letting it drop to your feet. ponyboy’s eyes followed it, scanning the tears and rips across it before a light bulb flipped in his head.
“where’d you find that? gimmie it!”
“c’mon, pony! lemme finish readin’ it at least!”
“no! it’s embarrassing, y/n! how much have you even read?!”
his face was beet red, and you’re pretty sure he’s never looked more embarrassed in his life until now.
“not that much!”
when ponyboy reached out to grab the paper, you instinctively turned around to cover the paper in hopes that he couldn’t even graze it.
out of desperation, he put an arm around your waist to bring you closer. with you being stunned(shocked because prior to this, he was embarrassed to even hold hands.), pony quickly leaned over your shoulder and grabbed the paper.
“well? where’d ya find it? do you even know how old this is?”
“like, two weeks?”
“i wish.”
ponyboy mumbled under his breath, taking a few steps away from you as he crumbled the paper into a tiny ball. he shoved it into his pocket, presumably to never be seen again.
his blood was cold from the embarrassment, his face being the only thing that was warm. he had a flush across his face to match his body temperature.
pony looked like he wanted to wipe his and your memory to forget about this. however, you’d rather die than ever forget a moment like this.
despite your teasing, you thought it was all sweet. he just wanted to get you—the girl—without looking like a fool.
although, ponyboy being that empty-headed nerd was what made you fall for him. he didn’t know that, though.
the boy seen your expression soften as you had a small smile plastered across your face. before he had time to comment on what just happened or to ask you what’s with the look, you leaned toward him.
a light kiss was pressed against his cheek, giggles filling the room as you pulled away, only to wrap your arms around his neck.
“you’re too cute, y’know.”
you’re lucky ponyboy didn’t short circuit right then and there. sure, he paused for longer than he’d like to admit. but to his credit, he recovered quickly and acted like nothing had happened. like this level of affection was normal in your relationship.
of course, pony had to get used to it. he was gonna be with you the rest of his life if he had anything to do with it.
his arms were around your waist, his chin resting on the crown on your head.
“i would’ve liked you either way, pony. you didn’t have to act cool for that.”
“…seriously?”
“yeah. i think you being a nerd is cute.”
ponyboy was silent for a moment before a snicker escaped his throat. he kissed the top of your head before speaking up.
“i ain’t a nerd.”

couple of the year
"I guess I'm foolish enough for falling in love with someone who couldn't be mine" Tags: Haikyuu and Samu Notes: I adore Samu deeply. I apologize for doing this to you.
"I like you Samu" Osamu remained silent.
The only thing he could hear was the loud and fast beat of his heart. This moment was what he had been longing for, you and him, on the rooftop of the academy.
Osamu had been attracted you since you became their manager. You already had his attention because of your looks and kindness, but he fell in love with you the moment he tasted the onigiris you made for the team. From that day on, his goal was to make you his wife.
Unfortunately, he wasn't the only one who felt that way; another teammate had his eye on you. To make matters worse, it was his twin, Atsumu Miya. When the blond one confessed his interest in you at a training camp, Osamu wanted to die.
After that confession, he decided to take a step back and let his twin try to win you over, since Atsumu was the only brave one who confessed it publicly. Samu thought that maybe you wouldn't reciprocate Tsumu's feelings and he would have a chance, but it was Atsumu. Before the training camp was even over, you and Tsumu walked into the dinning room holding hands.
His heart shattered.
Had he been too naive? Should he haved competed for your love? The thoughts that lingered in his mind were pointless, since you were already taken. Only thing he could do was regret his decissions.
From that day on, the grey-haired twin tried to keep his distance from you, hoping to lose interest in you. Nervertheless, the way you keep taking care of him, the small conversations you had before practices, and how you smiled at him didn't help.
Due to that, his heart always shrunk when he saw you with Atsumu, being the perfect couple you were.
You and Atsumu were inseparable. You were the talk of the academy, he waited for you after classes when he didn't have volleyball trainning, you helped him with his studies, and often brought him bento that you cooked for him. You were the school's power couple.
And Osamu desìsed himself for feeling evious of your happines and love. He resentes how much he desired to be in his brother's place.
With that being said, he was taken aback when he Atsumu revealed that both had decided to end your relationship. It was clear to you that it was deteriorating, and both of you opted for a friendly separation instead of forcing things and riskink hostility.
His surprise heightened when you asked to meet him on the rooftop after parting ways with his brother.
Now, he was left speechless, realizing your intention to confess your love for him there.
He couldn't contain his excitement. The person he had admired for a year reciprocated his feelings? Could he now be the lucky one who could openly hold you hand? The one who would share meals with your? Could he be finally the happiest man ever alive?
Certainly, he could, and he eagerly awaited it.
"Sorry, but I don't feel the same way. I only see you as a friend, I hope this doesn't affect our relationship" with that, Osamu left the rooftop.
He believed that by now, you must resent the Miya twins for the pain they caused you. Osamu's steps were devoid of life as he made his way back to his classroom where his brother and best friend awaited him.
Did he really do that? Was he as dumb as Atsumu always claimed he was? It seemed so, as he had just rejected you. Why would he even do that?
His gaze met Tsumu's as he walked into the class. It was undoubtly meant for him. Despite Atsumu's repeated assertions that he had moved on, Osamu couldn't ignore the way he looked at you. Even if you were his first romantica love, Atsumu was his brother, he couldn't betray him like that.
"Hey! Are you okay? You seem upset" Tsumu remarked as Samu approached him.
Had Osamu once again prioritized his brother over himself? How many times would he continued to do so? How many heartbreaks must he endure to ensure his brother's happines?
Despite all his thoughts, he couln't blame Tsumu; since he was the one responsible for all his decisions. The grey-haired man shooked his head, took his seat, and leaned back.
"Oh, is something wrong?" Atsumu asked, concerned, as Osamu wasn't known for expressing his emotions much.
"I turned down a girl I've been attracted to for a year" Samu confessed, leaving Suna and his brother shocked.
Neither of them knew Osamu had a crush.
"I see, Miyas have it hard in relationships, it's good to know both of you are bat at something" Suna teased them, receiving a frowned face from both of them
"I thought I was the dumb one for letting y/n slip away, I don't know what i was thiking..." Atsumu admitted with a smirk "I guess you are a fool too"
Osamu remained silent for a moment, hesistant to speak.
"I guess I'm foolish enough for falling in love with someone who couldn't be mine"

Umm, so I wrote my very first Ghost Band fan fiction haha. I'm not nervous about it at all. Nope. But umm, yeah, I cranked this out within two hours lol. I hope you like it! I'll put it below and also try to link to ao3.
also gonna tag the mutual @littlemoon-beam because I really look up to their writing it's so beautiful! Hope you don't mind me tagging you!
Dewdrop didn’t have nightmares. He classed nightmares as something that made you cry, scream and thrash about in your sleep, something that had you jolting awake like you’d been struck by lightning from a cloudless sky. No, Dew didn’t have those, his dreams were more of reminders of something; reflections.
CW: angst, body horror, hurt/comfort, Dewdrop's elemental change, romance, Aether being nasty to Rain for a little bit but it's ok they love each other, Aether being stressed, happy/content ending (whole things feels kind of sombre to me), if I missed any content warnings please let me know!
On this particular night he’d been back in the Pit. He had been warm and snuggled under something, something that was shifting around him with little tickles on his skin. There had been a light sparkling through the stuff around him and he’d had the urge to climb climb climb. His body had been sluggish and slow, not knowing how to move exactly quite yet. If he were to compare that feeling to something he knew now on the Surface, he’d compare it to dragging yourself out of layers of cosy, thick blankets after the best nap of your life. He’d crawled forward and upward and the something around him had shifted some more, slowly falling away so easily to let him into the light and the water above.
The oceans of the Pit were a very peculiar place. They were eerily still with a Siren’s hum always lulling through the currents, and he had learnt quickly to keep low to the sea bed and mind his own business. But in that moment, when he had hatched from the sand and blinked his eyes to his new world, there had been no fear or terror in sight. He was warm, and his warmth would keep him safe.
Now, hundreds of years later, Dewdrop stands in his en suite bathroom on the Surface staring at himself in the mirror. He didn't look at himself with hate or disappointment or anything like that like he knew the others sometimes thought he did. He simply observed himself and took in the details, almost marvelling at how much he’d changed since he’d first been summoned all those years ago for the Ghost Project. He remembered it like it was yesterday.
He’d been lurking around near the shallows in the Pit’s ocean, getting closer and closer to the lava that was spilling in. It was fascinating to watch how the two elements had clashed and melded with each other, hissing and humming and groaning as they met. The colours were beautiful as well. His friend, another water Ghoul had been keeping their distance from the lava, reluctant to risk getting burned or dragged down by the weight of it, yet still inching closer if just to be in arm’s reach of Dew in case they needed to drag him away at a moment’s notice.
But there had been no time for his friend to reach for him, and it wasn’t the lava that dragged him. It had been a sharp pull on his core, so sharp it had doubled him over and left him in shock, allowing his body to go pliant and easy to be pulled wherever he was going. There had been a light, brighter than he’d ever seen and a rhythmic lul of music or voices, repetitive in its chant as he was pushed and pulled and contorted in ways that should have killed him. Then, as quickly as it had happened it had ended, and he found himself on hard, cold stone, gasping and choking on air. He’d felt something warm touch his back and it stayed there even as he tried to wriggle away, quite literally a fish out of water. He’d felt a magic course through his body, wrapping around his lungs and gills like bubbles and suddenly he could breathe. He was breathing air.
That was his first introduction to the power of quintessence, courtesy of Omega. His second introduction had been a blast of energy in the face mere seconds later, courtesy of a newly summoned Aether. Aether had been a ball of chaotic, panicked energy that Dew had felt vibrating in the stone he’d lain on, and he had been so distracting he’d barely noticed that there was another Ghoul summoned with them; Ifrit. Dew had felt very, very small all of a sudden. And fascinated.
The entire ritual summoning had been a chaotic mess, a successful one, but a mess nonetheless. Aether had lost control of his magic and made several people severely dizzy, while Ifrit had jumped up to fight and then immediately fallen over, only to scramble back to his feet and repeat the cycle, spewing fire and smoke from his maw with guttural growls that did nothing to hide the fear. Dew had scurried away into a corner, away from the hands trying to calm him, before making an attempt to book it out of there on legs he didn’t know how to use. Even now it made Dewdrop giggle thinking about it.
It had taken lots of time and patience from their mentors, but the three of them had come to learn their new bodies and lives and worlds. Dew had been restricted to the infirmary as he learned to walk under Mist’s guidance, every step sturdy like a rock with his determination not to fall flat on his face. At some point Mist had started teaching him ballet, as had the other water Ghouls, River and Lake and Water. They all told him it was the best way to learn control of his body, that the combined grace and force of it was similar to that of swimming. He learned to love it, especially when he felt the pure strength of his legs when he walked on his own. Through the entirety of his recovery he asked about his friend, though, nearly begging and pleading with the others to ask the Papa in charge if he could reach down to the Pit again and bring them up to be with him. The others had asked their Papa, but the answer had been a sad, apologetic no.
When Dew had finally been strong enough, he’d been allowed to properly meet Ifrit and Aether, a decision that was quickly regretted by the older Ghouls of the Abbey. The three of them got on like a house on fire and so chaos had ensued. Pranks were being pulled, jokes were being made, shenanigans were being plotted and executed. Their reign was never-ending and they all revelled in it! Of course, they stayed strict with their learning of the instruments for the Ghost Project, a new passion for the art igniting in each of them as they practised. And soon enough it was time for their first tour. It was time for them to be presented to the world as His Dark Lord’s children.
They loved it. They loved the crowd, the music, the travelling, the band, their Papa. They loved each other. Ifrit had quickly fallen head over heels for the band’s air Ghoul, Zephyr, and Lord how the two of them had burned so quickly. It was a quiet but obsessive sort of love, something that could be so loud if you only listened for a little while. Ifrit tended to Zephyr hand and foot, often being batted away playfully, while Zephyr became a guardian angel to Ifrit, ready to strike with venom at anyone who dared belittle the fire Ghoul in any way.
As for Dewdrop and Aether, well. In the present, standing in front of his mirror, Dew turns back to look over his shoulder and through the bathroom door to see the big quintessence Ghoul snoring softly in his bed, relaxed and carefree and drooling slightly. The two of them had met and it had been instantaneous, their energies singing with each other every second they were together. It was so easy, beyond easy. It was natural. Meant to be. It was like they could read each other’s minds with how well they knew each other so quickly. The others had teased them relentlessly for how they first came together, claiming that it wasn’t romantic at all to confess feelings and lay together for the first time on the empty tour bus immediately after a ritual. But both Dew and Aether felt differently.
No, it hadn’t been soft or slow or gentle. It had been frenzied and quick and rough, the pair of them scratching and grabbing and pulling at each other with something akin– something more than desperation. It was the thought of why the hell haven’t we been this close before, why haven’t our souls met before when I know yours so well, how in the ever-loving, hellbent fuck could I go a day without knowing you inside and out.
When Ifrit and Zephyr announced they were retiring, ready to bind their souls together for eternity and just live and exist on the Surface, it came as a surprise to no one, they had all seen it coming from a mile away. What did take everyone aback was the realisation that new Ghouls would have to be summoned to take their places. The Clergy had already found two air Ghoulettes to take Zephyr’s spot in the band, the pair of them floating around in the clouds of the Pit with no idea what was being planned for them. However, the Clergy had been having increasing trouble finding a suitable fire Ghoul for the lead guitar.
It was a known fact that unlike other elemental creatures, those made of fire and brimstone were notoriously powerful and dangerous, which made them near impossible to lure in and keep under a semblance of control. Alpha had been summoned because he was older, no less dangerous mind you, but simply a calmer flame than most. Ifrit had been summoned almost by sheer luck, his youth and curiosity and willingness to just see what happens being what led him to the Surface. They were both lucky shots that happened to land, nothing more. And their new Papa was... new. Every one of them loved Copia without sway, he was kind and gentle and thoughtful and passionate about the Ghost Project, but he had also been shoved into a position he was nowhere near ready for. There was no way he’d be able to summon a fire Ghoul, at least not one that wouldn’t kill everyone on site.
The Clergy had been running out of time and they needed to summon the new Ghouls soon, otherwise the Ghost Project would have to be cancelled. It had all of them scrounging the library for any potential answers to their problem, all of them desperate to help their Papa and to remain children of the Dark Lord. And that was when Dew had found it.
Dew had poured over the summoning texts night after night, wanting to be ready or when he would take the place of mentor one day like the others did for him, but the text that he found in the library was so strange and different yet still similar enough that he could decipher it. It wasn’t a summoning, no, it was a changing. Dewdrop translated the text on his own and read through it over and over and over and over again until he had memorised it, and then he read through it again just to make sure and convince himself it was possible. That was when he took it to Aether.
As ready as Aether was to try new things and take a couple risks here and there, a contradiction to his healer status he’d earned in the infirmary that Dew always found funny, he was incredibly reluctant to let Dew go through such a life-changing endeavour, one that could very well kill him. It was their first true argument that led to tears and sobs and concerned looks from the others, having never seen the two fight before. But slowly, or quickly, neither of them quite remember, it turned into hushed whispers and promises that could never hope to be kept in mortal bodies, yet they made them anyway because Aether knew Dewdrop would walk through any fire to get to him, and Dewdrop knew Aether would pull apart any galaxy to bring him back.
And so, together, they took the Text of Elemental Changing to Papa Copia.
Due to the Clergy’s demands, Dew’s transition would take place the same day as the summoning of the new Ghouls, which put everyone on edge. Half of them thought that the Clergy wanted Copia to fail, that they’d grown tired of the Ghost Project as a whole and was just waiting for the opportunity to turn around and point fingers, claiming that Copia was no good and that it should all be abandoned. They all agreed they could not let that happen.
Before Dew stepped into his ritual circle, he told Papa of his old friend in the Pit’s ocean, one of the most graceful Ghouls he had ever met. He told of how he hoped he would see them again if the Lord allow it, and Papa understood what Dew was asking, nodding his head with a smile that said I will do my best.
And then the ritual began and Dewdrop burned.
The feeling started with a warmth in his core. A warmth that felt so familiar it confused him. It grew larger and larger and hotter and hotter until he could feel every nerve in his body, not quite hurting just yet but enough of a sensation that had him twitching. And then it kept going and it did start hurting. Dewdrop looked down at his light blue hands and watched them turn pink and then gold, and then it was flaking off like tiny leaves blowing in a nonexistent wind and revealing black underneath. The flakes of skin were variants of grey billowing around him as the ritual continued, but it was when he watched his fins shrivel up like melted plastic did he start screaming. The bioluminescence of his fins and scales hardened into a solid colour Dew didn’t know before wrinkling and shattering and peeling off his body, now useless. The gills on his ribcage and neck burned furiously and he almost threw up when he looked down at himself, seeing the flicker of flames poking out of the slits and chasing the oxygen in the air. They’d already burnt through the oxygen in his lungs.
The heat that was inside him was unbearable and the only thing that was keeping him sane in that moment was the memory of the promise he made to Aether. He couldn’t leave him. He wouldn’t. He started thinking about his friend from the ocean, the one Papa was trying his best to get back to him. If they did make it to the Surface they would need a mentor and as the last water Ghoul summoned that was Dew’s job, right? He couldn’t leave his friend.
Somehow the heat got hotter and hotter before surpassing the point of being molten. Then suddenly, Dewdrop thought of the lava in the Pit. He thought of how it had sizzled and groaned as it made its way forward, creeping sideways and downward at a leisurely pace. And the colours had been beautiful, as well. The lava was dangerous and deadly but it was also calm and serene. It destroyed like fire but moved with the grace of water. And that was when the pain made itself at home in Dewdrop’s body, except it wasn’t pain anymore. It was him. It was Dewdrop. All those hundreds of years marvelling at the heat, longing for the warmth that he had felt when waking up for the first time under the sand, and he had finally found it again, except this time in ashes.
Dewdrop raised his aching head, body trembling uncontrollably and swaying with the lack of energy. Aether had energy. He needed Aether. The ashes he was buried under fell away from around him as he forced himself to his hands and knees. When did he fall over? He needed Aether.
“D–Dewdrop?”
He looked to his side, following the voice and found himself looking into the beautiful blueish-purple eyes he thought he might never see again.
“Rain.” he murmured.
Then he collapsed and everything went dark.
Aether had told Dewdrop that he’d been in and out of consciousness for weeks before he finally woke up properly. He’d also told him that it’d been the happiest, most relief-filled moment of Aether’s entire life. The short time after waking up is still hazy to Dew, but he remembers how wet his hand had been from where Aether had been crying on it. He also remembers how he’d thrown up nothing but water for days over the side of the bed, specks of ash flying out along with it. The aftermath of the Changing is what Omega had said. A bloody nuisance is what Dewdrop had said.
The recovery was relatively quick, which surprised everyone but Dew. Within a handful of weeks he was walking around and eating solid foods, joking with some and asking how others were. He asked about Rain and the other new summons, and he didn’t miss how Aether’s face twitched into a frown for a nanosecond before the quint informed him of what had been happening. Dewdrop kept a close eye on Aether’s reactions every time he mentioned or asked about Rain, noticing how his eyes would turn downward and he’d start fiddling with the rings on his fingers. He didn’t want to dance around the subject, so after a good few days of this awkwardness he asked him straight what was going on, and that’s when Aether had started crying and begging forgiveness. For what?
Aether had hated Rain. In the beginning, anyway. Aether told Dew of how the moment he had collapsed after the Changing, Rain had lunged over his body to protect him from the strangers they now found themselves surrounded by. He explained how logically he knew Rain was scared and confused and doing everything in his power to protect the person they’d lost so many years ago, but in doing so they’d stopped Aether from getting to Dew. They’d stopped him from helping his love, his mate, his other half. And Aether had hated him for it. He’d hated how this lanky water Ghoul had been there all of five seconds and blocked him from his love, had hissed and growled and snarled at Aether to stay away or else, as if he would ever do anything other than handle Dewdrop with care. The other water Ghouls had had to step in, using their likeness to Rain to appeal to them and convince them that they were safe, that Dewdrop was safe and loved and would be taken care of. Aether expressed how those tantalising seconds in which Rain made their decision to trust the others had felt like something cruel ripping pieces of his heart, mind and soul out piece by piece.
Rain had visited Dew in the infirmary as well when he was still asleep, holding his hand and speaking words of love and worry and prayer. Aether had almost torn the water Ghoul to shreds for that, wrestling with the stupidity of what he was considering and the pure realness of what he was feeling.
Dewdrop was asleep and Aether was at war.
Aether told Dew of how he’d forced himself to think of all the stories Dew had told him about Rain, about how sweet and charming and kind and shy the water Ghoul was. He’d forced himself to swallow the words of poison he so wanted to spit at Rain, replacing them with practised care and sympathy he was used to doing as a healer for the Abbey. But then Rain had apparently seen through his mask and told him to yell at them, to scream and cry and tell them that he hated them. Rain had always been too good at reading people, Dewdrop would remember. And so Aether had. He’d spat the words that tasted like coal on his tongue and cried while he did it, his chest caving in as he’d continued to look at the water Ghoul before him, each word he spoke getting weaker and weaker until he was just crying into Dewdrop’s limp hand, blubbering apologies over and over. Rain sat through it all until Aether was whimpering, which was when they stood from their chair on the opposite side of Dew’s bed, rounded it and wrapped their long, cool arms around the bigger Ghoul who all but fell into them.
Rain had taken care of Aether that evening, sitting with him by Dew’s bed and sharing stories of his own from their time in the Pit’s ocean. Rain had told Aether some of Dew’s best moments, worst moments and embarrassing moments, the last of which Dewdrop swore he’d get payback for. The two of them had gotten to know each other and learned to like each other, but what made Aether love Rain was when the water Ghoul told him very sternly that he was to never speak to them with that level of disrespect again. Shy as Rain might be they were not to be messed with and Aether had suddenly realised how themselves and Dew had gotten on so well, and he loved it.
When Aether had finished spilling his guilty confession, Dewdrop wrapped his love in his arms and kissed his face all over, telling him how proud he was of him. Aether cried again and Dewdrop joined him, and that was the first time since transitioning that Dew was allowed out of the infirmary.
And now here he stands in the present, the feeling of sand and ash on his skin as he observes himself in the mirror. Years have passed since the Changing, and he knows that he’s changed some in personality as well. As if people don’t change as they grow older anyway. He’s still mischievous and teasing, that will never change, but he knows he’s more reserved now. Stoic. It’s not down to anything bad, per se, he just feels older. He talked with Alpha and Ifrit about it at some point, when he worried something was wrong with him in a moment of anxiety, and the three of them talked it through. They talked about the different fires they all have burning within them and how they can change as the flame flickers. Dewdrop told them about the lava and they told him that he has become the lava.
Stoic and strong and sure.
Deadly and dangerous and ruthless.
Graceful and elegant and beautiful.
Dewdrop looks at his ash grey skin and the marks of his old bioluminescent scales which are now a misty white. He looks at his pitch black hair that falls down his back like a waterfall. He looks at his horns, the bases grey like his skin before fading to white. He looks at the gills on his ribs and neck, not scarred over but slitted gaps that suck in the oxygen his fire needs to grow, the same slitted gaps that let out smoke when he’s angry or pent up. Finally, he looks himself in the eye and sees the glow of the lava in the Pit’s ocean looking back. He sees that light he saw all those years ago for the first time.
Dewdrop is warm, and his warmth will keep him safe.

The thing about Priscilla is that in the entire time Elvis has known her she's been a fabulous listener. Even after they've gotten divorced she still listens when he calls sure the conversations are usually a bit- a lot- shorter but Elvis takes what he can get with her even though he has Linda and even though Priscilla has moved on. It's perhaps a little codependent still but he never claimed that he's necessarily the most healthy when it came to his relationships. So sue him for wanting to keep his ex-wife closer to him than any man probably has any right to.
She listens as Elvis talks- as Elvis tells her what Jerry had told him that- as much as he's loathe to admit it might have made him pass out like he did. He expects her to be more shocked, more taken aback by the knowledge but instead he's greeted by a lack of reaction that if he wasn't so bone tired and exhausted and it wasn't Priscilla acting that way- it would have likely lead to him biting her head off. Instead it just lets his anger deflate, allows him to relax to a certain degree. He likes to think that's just Priscilla's effect on him sometimes, but he knows it's more just her knowing him better than almost anyone.
"I'm gonna fire 'im, 'Cilla. I did, but- everythin' ain't finalized yet, we're doing that tomorrow, but I'll finally be done wit' him." Elvis says as he finishes catching her up, pinching the bridge of his nose.
Priscilla has shifted a few times in her chair, and her feet are currently planted firmly on the ground as she leans forward, eyeing Elvis as if he's a puzzle that needs solving. It takes her a moment before she stops giving him that look and just lets out a very heavy sigh, shaking her head just slightly. "Remember the last time you told me you were firing the colonel you ended up here. remember what I said Elvis?”
His lip curls up into something faintly resembling the beginning of a snarl. Was Priscilla really bringing that up? Bringing up how he promised her that "business was business" and that he "owed it to his face to let him know in person" as if the Colonel would have done the same thing for him, granted him the same sort of courtesy. There's a part of him that knows she's right, knows that he had said that he was going to fire him only to be stuck under the multiple feet of snow like she predicted but it still bothers him to have her point it out. Jerry looks at Elvis from his chair, waiting for him to actually say something in answer to what Priscilla said before Elvis just sighs and shakes his head. "Don't let him clip your wings, yeah, 'Cilla, I remember. It's different this time."
She licks at her lips slowly before humming softly. "What's different about it, baby? You're really done this time? Can't stand being in the snowstorm any more?"
"Somethin'- 'Cilla, I don't know, a'ight? I don't know! I just don't wanna be doin' this. Don't wanna be slavin' away for 'im only to realize I ain't got nothin' to show for it but a daughter I don't get to see and a body that's breakin' down faster than I can try and fix it." He know he shouldn't yell, shouldn't be like this to Priscilla but his frustration about all of this is getting to him. His regrets about everything are starting to get to him. He could be so much happier right now, he could- he could be touring the world. Even- He could still be married to Priscilla but even if he wasn't he could take Linda around the world. Hell, he could take all his girls around the world. They deserve it for what they've done for him.
He waits for Priscilla to get up, to remind him that as much as she loves him, she did not come here to be yelled at, to have him be belligerent at her, but she doesn't. Instead she turns to look at Jerry and motions to the door. "Can you give us a minute? For us to talk." A pause. "Alone."
Which is to say she didn't want to have any interruptions from him or anyone else Memphis Mafia related or even Linda. This was strictly a conversation she wanted between the pair of them. Jerry nods moving to stand up and crossing the room in a few strides. "I'll be outside, Priscilla." He nods at Elvis. "EP."
Priscilla stands up as soon as Jerry leaves the room and moves to sit on the bed, not bothering to ask for permission because what's a lack of space between someone you've been married to and as much as she is sometimes loathe to admit it but someone who knows practically every bit of you because he had a hand in helping shape it.
“Is she taking care of you still?” Priscilla as she moves to stroke his hair gently. It feels soft like she remembers. “I know you said she-”
“You know how I get, ‘Cilla. Could be takin’ care of me in the best way and I’d find a way to still mess it up.” Elvis laughs softly even though none of what he said was actually funny to either one of them.
"I do." She answers with her own huff of a laugh before her hand moves to his cheek, stroking it as he leans into her touch. “You look tired.”
Elvis doesn't speak for a moment, instead just focusing on how gentle Priscilla's touch feels, at how it feels like a cool balm against his skin and how it touches something and settles something in him that even Linda can't touch on her days that he's feeling so goddamn small. He shrugs when he finally does speak. “Stopped takin’ the amphetamines, course I’m a little tired.”
"You-" She stops herself and just looks into Elvis's blue eyes for any trace of a lie. "For Lisa?"
His answering nod is slow and rather measured as he tries to figure out if he wants to answer her beyond that. She deserves an actual answer out of him one complete with words and an acknowledgment of the exact reasons why. "Can't have her being scared of me. 'Course I did, 'Cilla. For her."
Maybe a bit for himself, if only because it meant he'd still be able to see her, still be able to do some of the things he wanted in his life even if he was confined to doing what he had been doing. His eyes don't leave Priscilla as he watches her face cycle through multiple emotions ranging from what he thinks might be pride and honest delight. For a moment he feels like he does when he sometimes calls Linda Mommy and he scrunches up his face. She finally speaks in a whisper. "Thank you."
For putting their daughter first, for doing something she asked him do so many times, for doing something she knows will help him in the long run even if the effects right now aren't pleasant.
Elvis just shrugs before leaning against Priscilla. "You gonna head t'the hotel? Don't know if I'll be any good company right now."
She opens her mouth to answer, fully intending to say no immediately before she shuts it and just looks at Elvis and sees the tiredness in his face, in his shoulders- in every part of his body. Her answer changes as she takes all of that in and processes it. "I'm tired as you, baby. I can stay here."
A hum leaves Elvis's throat before he can stop it. He doesn't need Priscilla, he's got Linda and Priscilla isn't his first love but- she's also just- she's his 'Cilla. He should tell her no but he's missed her, missed being like this. "If you wanna."
Her choice, not his for once because he's not in any state to choose anything for anyone. Her reply is simply to scoot closer to him and start to doze off. Somehow her presence- or maybe it's just whatever the hospital has him on has him dozing off before he can even really register what's happening.
Jerry leaves some time and that's the only explanation Elvis has for the paper he finds on the little table by his bed and the only explanation he has for his father looking so dejected in the chair that Jerry had formerly been in. At some point his glasses had been taken off and he nudges at Priscilla to see if she can find them as he grabs the paper and tries to focus on the words in front of him. He can't quite read it until Priscilla comes back with his glasses and there's a part of him that wishes she hadn't have brought them after he does read.
“The hell is this?” He asks his lips curling into a pure snarl as he stares down at the paper.
“A bill for services rendered by Jamboree Attractions." His father answers, pursing his lips and exhaling as he does. "The Colonel dropped it off while you were sleeping with Priscilla."
"While I was sleepin', course the goddamn toad did." Because the Colonel can't ever do anything normal, can't give him the decency he knows he deserves. His eyes zero in on one note in particular that has him sitting up and has Priscilla stopping even the vaguest attempt to sit back in the bed with him. “Gas for- I didn’t ask him to come to the hayride! How- is this thing full of bullshit like this?”
Vernon for his part doesn't look phased at the question and shrugs. "I don't know, son, that's why I'm here, I figure we can look over it and- talk to the Colonel. Make arrangements-"
Priscilla cuts him off and places a short kiss to Elvis's forehead. "I'll be at the the hotel if you need me, baby."
Elvis watches her leave and frowns as she does before turning back to his father. "We'll look over it, but unless tha' arrangement ends in me still firin' 'im, I ain't payin' attention to it. I ain't takin' him back."
There's a long drawn out sigh that comes from Vernon before he looks at Elvis and shakes his head. "You might have to." A pause. "Let me see the damage, son."
It is more damage than he thought it would be.

hi <3 i was tagged by @giddyupbuck, @fortheloveofbuddie, @wikiangela, and @daffi-990 mwah thank you all so much!
i've been working on the heart attack fic, so have a little something sweet before it all goes sour
Eventually, Eddie and Albert return from their search. Albert sidles up next to Buck and grabs hold of the hose, offering support, while Eddie jerks hard on Buck’s turnout to spin him around. Buck notices he’s not wearing his oxygen mask or air tank and immediately starts fussing.  Eddie accepts Buck’s fretting with a dirty, crooked smile. “Gave my tank to one of the victims,” he says. “I’m going to triage for some oxygen.”  Buck’s chest tightens and he squeezes Eddie’s shoulder. “You okay?” he asks, a half yell. Their radios aren’t needed; they’re close enough to read one another’s lips.   “Yeah,” Eddie answers, frowning. Buck can see his tight lips and pinched forehead, a crinkle in the middle of his brow, and it’s equal parts endearing and worrisome. “Just—can’t take a deep breath. Air’s hot.”  “Are you—” “Just out of air,” Eddie interrupts, smiling softly. He tugs on Buck’s turnout again, something he must’ve picked up from Chris, and Buck steps impossibly closer, knees knocking into Eddie’s. “I’m okay.”  Buck nods, as placated as he’s going to be. “Be careful.” He squeezes Eddie’s shoulder once again before dropping his hand. “Follow the hose.”  “I will.” Eddie’s smile grows, crooked and bright. He fists Buck’s turnout and pulls him close, butting his forehead against the visor of Buck’s mask like an affectionate dog. “See you out there, cowboy.”  Dazed, a little mesmerized and a lot in love, Buck watches Eddie follow the hose carefully, quickly, until his figure’s concealed by smoke and he alerts over the radio he’s made it outside. He shakes his head, clears the warm fuzzy feeling Eddie always seems to cultivate when he’s sweet, and gets back to work.  Albert nudges his shoulder. “What was that about?”  Buck grins, cheeks hot. “I’ll tell you when you’re older,” he replies, chuckling at Albert and Hen’s twin bark of laughter.

I am still burdened by the fact that we just. Never got an explanation as to why Yi Sang reacts to the storybook the group found the way he does, because it's noted something about it made him react, and negatively at that.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Initially I was under the impression that maybe he was the one who made it, specially since his specific story theme plays over it, and the motivation of "wanting to bring joy to others" lined up very strongly with why the moment he showed the mirror to the rest of the League was so important to him, but now we know it alludes to the story of the Tearful Thing and the voice narrating the story is Stephannette.
But the thing is that the song that plays over the picture book is a different song from the one that plays over the story of the Tearful Thing.
This is Yi Sang's theme, Sinclair and Rodion have their own themes that play during their flashbacks and have different tunes and atmospheres to match their characters, but the first time this song plays is during Dongbaek's introduction.
Limbus Company - Yi Sang Story Theme - YouTube
And this is the song that plays for the flashbacks related to the Tearful Thing, once again a different theme.
Limbus Company - Cry For My Dream - YouTube
Dongrang interrupts before the matter is pressed further, but you can see he is indeed very affected by this particular story, not to mention both Dongbaek and Young-ji in specific allude to stargazing as well, particularly in relation to Yi Sang's mirror showing them or Dongbaek wishing to see stars herself, which is why she was so impacted by Yi Sang and the mirror, who showed her stars.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
A lot of things in Yi Sang's dungeon seem to be abridged just to tell the main points of the League of Nine's backstory since a lot of things aren't shown, like for example the dialogue in Yi Sang's memories when Dongbaek is stabbed doesn't show up in the flashbacks at all so I Highly suspect there are a lot of things about the past here left unexplored.

Oh my GOD, stayed up all night it's currently 6 am for me, to reread the entirety of Castle Swimmer because I saw it was coming back today (or I guess technically yesterday) AND I FEEL INSANE
I love when old interests come back to me, I feel like I need to scream over Kappa and Siren so badly
I have so many thoughts in my head, if anything happens to either one of them, I am leaving this world. If anything bad happens to Neth or Mucku or GOD MONO AND GALOO??? You will once again be gone from this earth /j
The thoughts I have are immense, I want to cry so badly SO BADLY Seeing Kappa's backstory with the healer and his scales, put me in physical pain, I never got there originally when I read it a while ago so seeing it now? Devastated me, I wasn't prepared
Also, the whales? Make me very curious? I'm just thinking about the way they work and their slumber works and I'm just... a hhhh... and while I don't think this will end up applying to him, imagining what the implications could have for Kappa is making my head hurt thinking about it

having some sort of chronic pain and tiredness issue and joint problems and whatnot but not knowing exactly what the problem is is really good at leading you feeling like you're faking it or making a big deal out of nothing or making it up. especially if there's a good day where it's not as bad and you can walk straight without limping for the first time in a year. but then you can wake up the next day and can barely walk and wonder why you can't just walk normal. it's hard to not guilt trip yourself into dealing with pain by trying to ignore it and force yourself to walk "normal" all the time
#chronic pain#chronic exhaustion#idk what else to tag#another day of why was lee walking normal and barely pain at work yesterday but then today so much pain and exhausted#wish i knew what was exactly the problem. was diagnosed with “generalized hypermobility” but doesnt do much#not a real diagnosis. basically just a thing to tell me “theres nothing wrong. exercise more” but how???? i keep trying but hurt myself#my job is physical labor and therefore exercise. it hurts. is exhausting. no energy to do more. walking is exhausting#have to focus so much energy on not popping hips out of place and twisting knees and ankles and falling. never hurts less#still think about how failed the heds test by 1 point but had several people with heds or who have close friends/family with it who told me#they think i have it and should go het diagnosed or just ask me if i have it because they recognize the symptoms#and every time i tell them the doctor i saw about my joint issues and stuff denied it they get super confused and tell me to try#another doctor. unfortunately i have to go through my designated health system and they dont have multiple doctors of each specialty#and i in general have no clue how to navigate health stuff or how to advocate for myself and have no help or support system at all so 🤷#anyway. it makes me wonder if i *do* have that or if my floppy bendy joints are just similarly bad and exercise will cure me#and im just bad at it because i have no clue what is right and wrong movement unless someone watches me and corrects me the whole time#and no i wont learn or get better. im so disconnected from this body that i will never learn what feels right and wrong.#still cant even tell when im hungry until i almost pass out!!!!!!! of thirsty!! or even have to pee until its emergency level piss!!!!!!#so no way to tell when hypermobiling joints when exercising or when form is slipping and not correct anymore.#been trying things to get better at that but still hasnt improved at all#what was i talking about......right. dont think ill ever get heds diagnosis since cant pass the test for that. so cant get much support/help#am on my own with youtube tutorials and hoping i dont keep hurting myself wishing exercise will cure me and “good days” become permanent#also why are video tutorials SO HARD TO FOLLOW AND LEARN FROM. im sk bad at it yet everyone tells me its the best and only way to learn but#its SO HARD FOR ME 😭😭😭😭😭 MAKES ME SO FRUSTRATED AND UPSET
