howdy all! kip here, am i re-introducing myself to you, not really. but kai's my main blog so hi, i'm them. hehe, anyways here is a post tour, organized and updated intro for infinite's bad, baby boy! you can find his profile, kprofile, and pinterest linked and all the updated information is bellow!

—— welcome to infinite entertainment! it's MALACHI 'KAISO' SOH, who is a SOLOIST. i’ve heard whispers that the 23 year old is pretty CHARMING but lowkey DISQUETED. also, doesn’t he remind you of KIM SUNWOO?

pre-debut

malachi was born to single mother soh jimin (jaime soh) in daegu. she moved to a suburb of chicago before he was even able to talk so he was raised there.

he grew up in a south suburb of the city that wasn’t the greatest place, malachi knew night sirens and metal detectors at the doors of his school the next morning.

his mother struggled with addiction most of his life, and kai often found himself surviving and gathering his basic needs on his own.

he has a love/hate relationship with his mom she was very much not a great woman but she tried.

they didn’t have a lot of cash and kai had to start working at a young age he excelled in school and this allowed him to go to a nice “private” school on scholarship later in his school career, with the extra resources he was able to really excel in the things he loved (art, poetry, music, etc).

with the help of the school and the community around him they budded his love for music and comics and things of that nature, helping get him the things he needed.

while at his new school he met his new gang of friends, and a shared love of music pushed them to form a small little band that took off by being just really really talented kids with a lot of spunk. (side note: fell in love with a girl in said band and well…he’s self destructive.)

but his time there was short lived as the moment he was scouted at a talent competition, (along with another band mate), as their front man he took the first flight they offered to korea and joined a pretty big, though relatively new company. never looking back and getting as far away from jaime as possible.

he came to korea subsequently alone as he does/did his best to cut all contact with the only family he had.

he never got to finish high school in a normal high school and despite being incredibly smart he finished at his performance school with subpar grades, mans was extremely depressed during his trainee days.

at debut

unlike a lot of idols malachi had the opportunity to technically debut 3 times.

his first debut was in 2013, he debuted as the producer, leader, main rapper and center of epik at starglass entertainment.

his time in epik was terrible to say the least, his social anxiety began to manifest in its full form. and of course like most companies back then they hadn’t really care and made little efforts to keep it at bay. instead they pushed him to be the face of the band as the only english speaker and member with performance experience and malachi, fighting his own demons was forced to take care of 6 other boys.

epik was the type of group with a boyish sound (i cannoned their disco to being nct dream and seventeen), they were known for their bright colors and fresh concepts and hard hitting, synchronized choreography.

they were known as a ‘clean group’ absent of scandals and korea’s pride but even in that malachi was not happy.

he did give his all and was granted the third gen ‘it’ boy, title shortly into his debut

even writing and producing most of the groups disco there were seldom any moments he was deliberately proud of the sound and style of the group, on top of his failing mental health and worsening depression. this pushed him to fall from his quiet but entertaining and personable idol to a more reserved, background character of his group even as the leader. while he was a popular member, the decline in his interacting directly led to the slight decline in his popularity.

to add to his work load he was asked to write and produce for his companies girl group at the time (canoned ex-iz*one) later in his career and helped produce a few of their hits

personally he felt as though because of this the company started to ‘neglect him’ a bit more. almost as a punishment for causing fan backlash from his change in ambiance as well as popularity, and eventually decided to prematurely terminate his contract with starglass in 2017.

during his time in epik he’d ground close with their manager, who essentially followed him into the purgatory that was being without a company. he stayed with that manager from the moment he left the epik dorm all the way through his trainee days in the new company.

it was also during his darkest times in epik that he became close with fellow soloist fleur, who resparked the fleeting flame of the job he use to love. she pushed his production career further by allowing him to write a few songs for her, resulting in his very first industry collab as a soloist later dien

during career

in the same year malachi found himself slightly homeless but at a new company (PSYCH Ent.) who was also pretty new themselves. they had two groups under their belt a girl group and a boy group who were popular but not as much (i guess the vibes of like??? g-idle before recently and maybe like stray kids in the very beginning?) but with his faith in them he re-debuted with a new concept, a new sound and something that was unapologetically him.

by 2018 he released a single, under a new name ‘kaiso’ and beneath the new company and it went viral as the ‘ace of epik’ was finally coming back to the industry

it took him a while to get fully back to it and for awhile he simply released one ep and a few singles and collabs before disappearing for a little. and he would continue to do that for awhile.

though he was hardly in the spot light between releases he gained popularity for a lot of things, and one of them was his ‘big change.’ the dopey leader had become stone cold, he showed his tattoos and faked smiles, he kept his fans close and very few other idols in the industry closer. leaving him with the reputation of being a ‘bad boy.’ backs would straighten and gazes would lower as kaiso entered the green rooms at music shows.

it was a rumor he didn’t care to clear up and honestly enjoyed how people would often not talk to him, leaving him in his little bubble with his fans and company. (think namjoon of bts or eric nam when it comes to fans).

after awhile, with malachi being psych’s biggest money pit, and sent him only on the first infinite tour. it was during this time that malachi met his current girlfriend, officially, and began to open up a bit more to the industry even as they used his past as the ‘biggest reason’ to his success.

but ultimately after the original infinite tour, kai’s company decided to participate in the acquisition for kai’s benefit,. he was their top earning artist and felt like a bigger company would do him good. they decided not to take the two former, veteran groups and while the boy group disbanded, the girls were taken on by a bigger company.

he still likes to refer to himself as a part of PSYC Ent. as the idea of being a part of a bigger company puts a foul taste in his mouth.

as he got bigger he began sending jaime money every month to make sure she was situated and also as an incentive to literally never talk to him again.

infinite tour

during the infinite tour as stated above kai had grown a lot. he acquired space in his friends lives and began to let them take up space in his.

at his current manager’s request he began therapy during the original tour and it had been helping.

he came out with tons of music both years, the constant moving keeping him in the writers room even if it meant he was over worked and overwhelmed.

during the first tour he began to struggle with his idol identity, wondering if he was doing himself a disservice to abandon his years of idol training to become this pariah of low eyes and low energy.

he essentially began retraining and trying to become the idol he was in epik, while staying true to himself unlike he was able to back then.

this led to a lot of uneasiness and malachi scrapping albums after albums over again and putting out more dance oriented tracks, attempting to fall in love with stage again like he’d had in high school.

with the help of some push from friends and a great choreographer (thanks mei) kai released tracks like ‘birthday’., ‘eye on you’ and even was recruited for an all soloist co-ed group by the company (called re:gn) as well as a subsidiary of said group (K!NG)

he quickly became infinite’s only in house producers who was also an idol and has written, produced and composed at least once for every group except tidal. he works the most with braveheart and indigo as their sound(s) are the closest to his style. he’s also the only producer for FLEUR (Kim Seonhwa) and has worked on/produced a lot of the solo releases for a lot of the idols in the company.

with the infinite tour gaining popularity and more idols were beginning to interact with him, he is now known pretty much to be a bit dark and mysterious and unapproachable, but he’s deadass just a ball of shy anxiousness.

during this time he also had come to the conclusion that he loves making music, but detests being an idol but takes the fame anyway because he likes what he does

notable moments include, an incident at a 'kick back' in his home town that would have brought his entire world crashing down. him breaking down into uncontrollable sobs on stage in chicago, and his mother showing up randomly at his seoul town home during a break in the first tour, forcing them to 'revive' their tumultuous relationship. and pre-maturely introduced her to his now current girlfriend.

overall kai is the resident bad boy with a heart of gold. his upbringing makes dealing with his anxiety and anger hard, and his shyness is just something he's working to over come. he's had a hard life in general but the addition of his hard time as an idol has really thrown in him in a hole he's struggling to dig out of. he finds tranquility in the smoke of marijuana or in the arms of the chair in his studio whether he be working on music or art and uses his life experiences to navigate his life in the future. he'll hang on to your every word even if it seems like he's not listening, take in all the little details about you and every gift you receive will always be special...you just gotta...yah know be let in first. so fingers crossed he talks to you!

updates post tour

not much has changed post tour, kai is still pursuing the merging of all the different versions of him, his chicago boy, his global superstar, and who he’s become now.

since coming back to seoul he’s brought on his girlfriend to live with him.

he plans on releasing more music for himself and with various artists by the end of the year

he’s strongly considering changing up his sound and experimenting a bit more out of his r&b wave.

he’s wanting to branch out a bit more, get in with some idols he hasn’t really talked with as well as mend some relationships he’s broken a bit.

also loathes the reality tv idea but is happy they’ll be stationary for awhile.

BIOGRAPHY

okie dokie so nik was born and raised in kharkiv, ukraine to an average middle class family where he lived for the first eight years of his life ,, his dad was an aviation pilot for the ukraine international airlines while his mom is an ex-olympic figure skater who ended up getting disgraced by purposely injuring her competitor ( was tonya harding his mom ?? who knows but she didn’t get any movies made about her ) so now she sells makeup and jewelry at a small boutique she started up

apologies to anyone having a conversation with nik bc his accent is thick and all over the place from influences. it’s still heavy ukrainian accent but also elements of the london accent once he moves, so his vowels are all over the place like it’s v much ukrainian but also v british lad and slang so it’s all v confusing

his mom victoriya is kind of a shitty person ?? just to be blunt about it since on top of her injuring her competition, her redemption was stalled by finding out she was pregnant again with nik after his older sister and it only goes downhill from there. which .. kinda sucks bc nik’s dad dmitri is a true gem who loved his kids and his wife to the moon and back and just wanted the best life possible for them but it was around the time of her pregnancy with nik that her behavior went south

her attitude was sour majority of the time and never seemed to be pleased with whatever her husband did and the drinking began after nik was born since she liked to think he was the reason behind her figure skating career never taking off again and not her disgraced name ?? this behavior was a -10/10 and dmitri put up with it for eight years thinking that she would change but it never did and it was around nik’s 8th birthday that he announced the divorce, got custody of nik and his sister nina and moved the two of them to kingston, u.k just outside of london upon a job offer

it’s in his new environment that nik begins to thrive .. finds an intense love for literature and just reading in general ?? he’s a naturally bright boy and is excelling in his classes where he gets top marks and notes on his report cards saying how lovely n intelligent of a boy is ,, though he does have trouble with making friends which ))): some of his classmates are a bunch of twats and like to pick on nik since he’s the new kid and has a strong accent

but aside from that overall his childhood was chill and was known as the class clown who got along with everyone and generally just liked making people laugh ?? just a v happy go lucky lil boy that as he aged just looked like a typical lad and not the highly intelligent boy who had promise to attend oxford or cambridge or even any school he wanted to

it's when nik and his family moved to london that he actually started going by the nickname of nik just as an easier way of pronunciation english wise. with his dad and sister he goes by mykola, but he still goes by nik just bc he's gotten so used to it

but once nik eventually settled in and made some friends of his own, everything settled down and nik grew to enjoy his time in london. his more affable personality started to come through and would become known as one of the few class clowns in his grade who could hold a conversation with anyone

it’s around nik’s 13th birthday that his dad introduces him to a new lady in his life aka his new gf named isabella who has kind green eyes and a vibrant laugh that brought out her animated personality and nik automatically loved her. he could see how happy she made his dad and after years of watching his dad be treated badly by his mom nik was happy that he found someone who loved him and being around him

fast forward seven months and isabella moves into their home and nik finally feels like he has a family ?? and it’s inevitable that the two get married where nik is the best man and it’s with this new family structure of isabella and her daughter sofia that nik feels stable?? in a sense ?? uses this new found sense of stability to further challenge himself in his academics – finding a strong penchant for math and science and being insanely good at it.

while debating whether he wanted to go to university for something math related, it was hearing his dad speak about his most recent flight that nik came to the realization that he wanted to follow in his father's footsteps and become a pilot. from there on nik applies himself even more so in his studies with his sites set on purude university in america. to which he eventually gets accepted into and he attends

the years in school fly by for nik and he eventually graduates with his degree, gets his abundance of hours worth of supervised training completed within another two years and by age 25 he's flying high and slowly working his way up

nik bounces around america for a while, settling in city airport hubs of delta as he works his way up in rank and not settling down in a place for too long. eventually nik ends up in new york city with a base in jfk international airport where he starts to do longer more international flights and it's here in nyc that nik starts to settle down

some sad times are ahead for nik though, his family is extremely close and he talks to his father, isabella and nina all the time on the phone. nina moved out to brighton for an advertising job with her husband philip and they have a v beautiful baby girl named adelaide and i'm !! nik is in awe bc his niece is gorgeous and he adores kids jdfnsj so he visits them whenever he can and especially when she grows up since she's his goddaughter as well

nik and his family are the type who get together for family vacations each year still bc they genuinely all get along and love one another. death tw starts – it'ss during one of nik's long shifts where it’s proving to be a tough day when he's just finishing up one of his longer flights and he gets an international call from england saying that his sister and his brother in law were involved in were involved in a car accident and didn't make it – end of death tw

being her godfather nik is given full guardianship of his niece adelaide and she soon makes the move from england to new york city. it's a tough time for nik as he's thrown into a whirlwind of settling everything with paperwork, getting adelaide settled, and taking time off from work to acclimate to having to raise a teenager now. unfortunately the one long term and healthy relationship nik found himself in begins to suffer from the amount of stress and being pulled in multiple directions. nik and his boyfriend break up and seeing as nik didn’t plan to become a father, he decides now is the time to refocus and dedicate all of his time to raising adelaide

after some time adelaide decides she doesn't like the hectic ways of new york so nik begins to apply to other companies and once he's met with a generous salary and a flexible schedule for him to look after adelaide, he and his niece make the move to seattle and eventually settle into the amore lux apartments

nik truly does hope to one day settle down and taking on the responsibility of raising adelaide certainly made nik aware just how lonely he is lmao. he does have hope to have kids of his own potentially just from how family oriented he is. right now he's juggling work and learning how to raise a teenager while they're both dealing with grief and while it's a lot, he and adelaide see eye to eye

CONNECTION IDEAS

someone who checks in on adelaide when nik is off at work doing longer flights. he would say babysitter while adelaide would argue against it ( she's 16 thank you very much !! ) but he just likes to know that there's enough food in the apartment or if his niece has homework questions then someone is there

some hookups !! nik is painfully single and while still getting over his ex, he's still a man with needs so the door is open

Samuel was born in upstate New York, to a first-generation couple of immigrants. Not too long after his birth, his family moved to Vermont due to his mother finding a new job as a Bed & Breakfast manager, while his father opened a small restaurant that served Filipino food. Safe to say, money was always short in the family where Samuel became the eldest of two. It also made a lot of responsibility fall on his shoulders to set up a good example for his younger sister Alaya and everyone around them. Soon, it became his unspoken rule that he would break free from that city and he would make a world of his own. To do that, Samuel focused on school, since, due to his strict upbringing, he felt like it would be the only way possible.

He’s always excelled in debates and did terrific on political assignments from school, which, in one of the career fairs he attended, it became clear to him that he would do great as a lawyer. Samuel focused on that idea and also, on getting himself a scholarship out of there, since there was no way his parents could afford college education for any of their kids. There had already been talks around the house about who would help in the B&B and who would help in the restaurant, and, as honorable as these jobs were, and as much as he helped around during summer breaks, Samuel wanted more. He wanted everything else the world had to offer. So did his sister.

His drive landed him a scholarship to study Psychology in California, and once he was done, he was accepted into UC Irvine to continue his studies by going there for Law School.

In California and being away from his parents, Samuel felt like he could finally breathe and be the person he had always been born to be. He met someone during his college years, who also happened to bring out the best in him, and together, they were inseparable. Cemre was smart, beautiful, and above all else, she was ambitious just like him. They shared dreams, hopes, victories, and losses, and eventually, they would share a life, too, because, in the first few months of being together, Cemre shared that she was expecting someone else’s baby. Someone she had been with before Sam and she had even gone out on their first date.

Sam was well aware of the responsibility that raising someone else’s baby entailed, but he was also far too deep in love with Cemre to scrap the last few months over something that had happened before they had met. When Deniz was born, everything made sense. He had a family in the making, a decent job, and one hell of a girlfriend. What else could he ask for? A few years after being together, when the clock struck midnight, Samuel proposed to her and she said yes.

Life was good.

Until it wasn’t.

First, it was the news of Alaya’s death. Although he had been in touch with his sister this whole time, apparently there was another side of her life that he had yet to get to know. The news of her death struck him like lightning and forced Samuel to travel to Arizona for her funeral. His brother-in-law didn’t tell him directly, but it didn’t take a genius to put two plus two together and simply assume why there were so many people wearing leather cuts while they laid her to rest. Alaya had mentioned finding a solid source of income and bringing Ezrak along, he just wasn’t imagining it would be anything related to motorcycle clubs and the type of underground activity there might happen there.

Grieving, he spent the following couple of years stuck in a haze and it was another call from Arizona that changed his life and solidified his own ties with the Wild Coyotes. A request to bail Ezrak and another fellow Wild Coyote member from prison. He traveled to Arizona once again, and through client confidentiality, he learned more about the gang his sister had been involved with. It was a tough pill to swallow at first, that by trying to give herself a better life, Alaya had been involved in criminal actions, that he couldn’t protect her somehow… because he simply hadn’t been there. In the following six months, he stayed in Arizona, preparing the case for the Wild Coyotes and flying home every once in a while.

During his last trip back home he was welcomed with a photo of Cemre and Deniz and a message that someone was watching them. Consumed by fear of what that picture might mean, especially after hearing Ezrak’s suspicions that Alaya’s death had not been an accident, Samuel decided to break things off with Cemre and then moved to Lancaster, leaving both mother and son behind, despite what that loss would mean to him.

His first months post-breakup was filled with alcohol, parties, and sex. Then, work followed. Samuel became relentless. He found himself a job at a Law firm in Phoenix, doing what he did best, which was to persuade people… more precisely, judges, using every verbal way and finding loopholes in proofs. Who cared about fairness or justice, right? He also continued working for the Wild Coyotes when it came to their legal matters, hoping this would keep trouble away from the ones he loved.

Sam just wasn’t expecting trouble to follow him some time later and stare him right in the eye, asking questions on why he had missed his last birthday.

VII.

In the final weeks of July, the team under Dr. Chevalier grew very accustomed to being muddy, mosquito-bitten, and sore. “I swear,” Eli said cheerfully as he packaged up yet another round of soil samples, “I’ve never seen anybody so depressed while he’s making his whole career. Well, except for Ambrose, I suppose.”

“I might be ‘making my whole career’,” Professor Sur grumbled, sitting up with a groan. Kneeling at the bottom of the king’s grave, carefully clearing dirt from tiny royal finger bones as delicate and strenuous work. He leaned back, pushed on the sides of the grave and twisted his torso around. Eli winced as several loud cracks sounded from the other man’s back.

Gwaine’s shoulders sagged with relief, “Ahhh— that’s much better. I might be making my career, but I’m also going to make my chiropractor's whole career at this rate. And possibly contracting malaria.”

“Hey, this bloke could be King Uther. A little malaria’s not so bad.” Eli objected as Gwaine settled back to his work.

“Spoken like someone who’s never had malaria.” Guy Asclepius said from his position by the jeep where he was cataloging the remains that were ready for transport to the lab.

“Are you saying you have had malaria?” Gwaine’s head popped up over the edge of the grave again. Guy only raised an eyebrow in response.

Eli shrugged. “Yeah, OK, bad disease bad, sure… but I’ve also never discovered King Uther before.” He hefted his black plastic box of samples like it weighed nothing. “Hey, Doc, can I put this on the Jeep? They need to go back to Morry and the team.”

Guy sighed and waved a hand, “Ah, but to be young again, the world is so simple. Help yourself, my boy. Although I hope you don’t expect me to haul that lot up the stairs when we get there.”

Eli laughed, “Nah, just call Morry, he’ll do it.”

Morry, along with about twenty others, had been called in from various contacts at the university to speed up the work. They’d had no other choice; upon discovery of the island site, it had become clear that there was more work there than could be done in a whole season, much less two weeks. In addition to the added help, they’d taken up round-the clock shifts to both protect the site and get as much work done as possible before the end of the season.

“Be much easier to get this done if the damn rain would just leave off for a few weeks.” Gwaine grumbled as Eli loaded his samples in with the finds. “It’s been a deluge ever since we found these burials. Turns everything to mud. Can’t hardly see what I’m doing, and there’s no detector for teeth.”

“Just be glad it’s clear at the moment.” Eli advised, shutting the Jeep and waving to Guy to head off. Gwaine was unimpressed; “Rain and shift work. Can’t even get a pint, going at this pace.” his grumbling continued unabated as the Jeep rolled off. “No time to even think about the finds. Going to be a right old mess, sorting all these bones out at the lab.”

“Ah Professor Sur,” Lee said, approaching from the knight cemetery with his shovel on his shoulder. “I see you’re a contender for ‘Miss Congeniality’ again this year.”

“Did Lance and the kids finish up?” Eli asked. Gwaine popped up like a groundhog, tossing his brush out of the grave and carefully standing. “Now there’s some good news. I need to go check their boxes if they’re done.”

Lee nodded, “The patron saint of endless patience is helping the students pack up the last bones as we speak. All that’s left is for Professor Sur to sign off on their logs and they can send the bones to the lab and start helping you here.”

“Excellent.” The professor levered himself out of the grave with sudden energy. “I love the smell of minimum-wage student labor in the morning.”

“Have you seen Percy, by the way?” Lee called, as Gwaine made to head off to the other site. “He’s not still talking his wizard off the ledge, is he?”

“Dunno.” Gwaine called back, waving a hand. “Ambrose won’t hardly speak to me. I think he’s still moping about uncovering the greatest find in British archaeology for the last thirty years.”

Eli snorted. “Well now, I’d love to have his problems.”

Gwaine laughed and jogged off to see to his students. Lee shook his head at the pair of them, leaning carefully at the edge of the royal burial to survey the work Gwaine had gotten done so far. “Well, you know what they say.”

“What, ‘one man’s career-defining discovery is another man’s—‘ what? Honestly, how bad can discovering the best archaeological site ever possibly be?”

“Maybe there’s something going on with him we don’t realize.”

At that moment, the sky opened and rain began to pour on the site, gently at first, then quickly turning into a downpour. The two men ran for the plastic tarps, scrambling to keep water out of the excavated graves. Gwaine could hardly be heard over the rain, swearing prolifically as he scrambled to help his students move their cardboard boxes to better cover. No one noticed the lone figure standing on the end of the excavation, motionless in the deluge.

luke was born and raised in iron river, on a small farm on the outskirts of outpost. his parents were never wealthy, but they raised their kids in a healthy and loving environment. honestly, this part of his life is boring — he had a good childhood, his parents love each other and there’s no big, awful family secret.

anyway, he was a good kid and a good teenager. never got himself into too much trouble, focussed instead on playing soccer and studying in school. during this time he fell in love with a childhood friend, they became high school sweethearts and then separated in order to pursue their future career paths.

somehow, he ended up at yale. he doesn’t really understand how, it just happened and even today he kicks himself because........ how did farm boy end up in yale? it’s a thing. he did very well and moved to new york, beginning a career that would see him working for tech companies, artists and writers.

it’s also here that he bumped into the old high school sweetheart. she too had been in college, then moved to the city and like it had never happened, they got back together. they had a really good, healthy relationship and planned their future, but made a promise to each other: they would never hold the other one back in their careers.

luke proposed to her a year after they got back together and they remained engaged for seven years. during this time both of them excelled in their careers, they travelled, did great things together, stupid things together, but the most important thing was: they always loved each other.

which is why, when they were both offered promotions that split them on opposite coasts, luke and her let each other go. they fulfilled their promises to each other, they split up and separated their lives entirely. initially they tried to stay in contact, but mutually they decided it was too hard to do that and eventually, cut all ties to focus on their careers.

WELL ..... that’s all well and good, but after moving to california, luke met another woman. they were very casual, but they worked. casual became dating, dating became exclusive and slowly, he learned that he could love another person. this woman would eventually fall pregnant and give birth to their son, who is now six years old.

as was expected, they got married and have had all the troubles of any married couple. unfortunately the past couple of years have been difficult, they hit a rocky patch in their relationship and after her father passed away, they decided it was time for a fresh start and moved to iron river in 2022.

OTHER STUFF ;

luke and his wife (wanted connection - hence no solid name) have been in couples therapy for about a year, trying to build on their marriage and understand each other a little more. they bicker a lot, which leads to fights and while they always make up, it leaves a lot of questions about their future.

turns out, his ex-fiancée is also back in iron river. he didn’t know this before coming back.

his wife knows about his prior engagement and the struggles he had coming out of that relationship. luke hasn’t ever kept that from her because it’s a big thing to keep a secret and my dude is a good guy.

lives for being the greatest dad alive. wants his son to look up to him, like he does with his own father. really, they’ve moved to iron river so that he can coach his son’s soccer team eventually. but also because his parents are getting on and his siblings have been keeping an eye on them for so long, it’s his turn.

luke is licensed to practice in georgia, new york, california and oregon. most of his clients are artists, writers and musicians. he’s also had some tech clients in the past, but he enjoys the perks of the more arty-based ones.

they have a cat. the cat does not like him. he does not like the cat. the cat is an inconvenience and if it wasn’t for his wife and son, the cat would have been re-homed already.

Arkhelios University

Abe was in hell. He was pretty sure he was anyway. What else could be worse than sitting in between his mother and her former ex-boyfriend while being grilled about his work and income and his plan for raising his son’s falling grades and Roman’s future plans to rejoin the workforce and- the list went on. The whole family was supposed to be gathering to meet Nathan’s new boyfriend from university, but so far the guest of honour was late, and Abe had become the focus of his mother’s unwanted attention.

“Oriana told me that you called in sick twice this month already,” Elaine chided her son. “Are you taking your job seriously, Abe? You need to make it a priority if you’re going to advance. I just worked at my desk if I had a cold. You just power through the sickness and do your work. Roman needs someone to provide for all those children, and you’re my former heir. I expect nothing less than excellence from you.”

Abe rolled his eyes and slumped further down in his seat. At this point, he was going to hunt down his little brother himself to escape this.

“I had the flu, mother,” Abe replied coldly. “I can’t go to work in a scientific lab with a cold or flu, even you have to be able to understand that. We have three small kids who are covered in germs and pass colds among their friends all the time. If you’d been around when we were kids, you would remember this.”

Elaine ignored her son’s jab and tried another line of questioning.

“When are you and Roman planning on getting married? The engaged Durant children are all married, and your sister is very close to booking a venue and picking a date for her own wedding. I haven’t seen you make any progress on your own in weeks.”

“I’ve been busy,” Abe snapped, crossing his arms. “There’s work, and the kids, and catching a stomach bug, and planning a wedding is pretty intense on a limited schedule.”

“I heard you’ve been having money problems,” Elaine stated, looking at her son’s face to confirm this rumour. “Is this true? I told Roman that I wouldn’t pursue that loan Salem tried to have erased from my father. What’s your monthly budget? What career goal can we set to get you back on track?”

Abe groaned in misery. Beside him, Launce gave him a sympathetic look, but kept quiet. He knew all too well where Lucy had gained her attitude from, and had learned that sometimes, it was better just to let Elaine get through her plans.

Outside, Nathan was greeted back to his home by Libby, his faithful pet.

“Gareth, this is Libby,” he said, holding out a hand for Libby to shake.

After shaking his hand, she stood up on her hind legs, looking for her treat.

“Ah, sorry girl, I’m all out. We don’t need treats at school. I’ll get you one from inside.”

Like every other family gathering, Ironman and Roman were stuck in the kitchen, making dinner. It was an unwritten expectation by now that they were in charge of the food, which had its benefits. At least Roman wasn’t being grilled by Elaine like poor Abe. He had a safe place to hide from the worst of the Helios-Chun’s antics.

“So how’s Nickolai doing?” Roman asked, as Ironman reached for a pot in the cupboard above Roman’s head. “Are you two a thing yet, or just flirting?”

Ironman’s eyes flashed a red pulsing light, and turned away from Roman.

“Error: data not found,” he intoned, and Roman laughed, shoving him playfully.

“Fine, keep your secrets,” he laughed. “Just make sure to invite me and Abe to the wedding.”

As a child, Lucy had hated learning the piano, but as she grew older, she found new appreciation for it. It allowed her to channel some of the chaotic restlessness inside of her into striking keys to expel her feelings. Melodies could flow through her fingertips, channeling her restless thoughts into something beautiful to hear. She wasn’t a professional musician, but she had enough skill that Abe no longer came to mock her attempts to play.

Her mind had been more restless as of late. With the anxiety surrounding Ulyssa’s pending decision about Noelle, added with the stress of trying to plan a wedding while being as big of a bitch to Pia as possible while doing so...it was all adding up. On top of all of that, Kaeileen had been weirder than usual whenever Roman’s name was brought up. Considering that she had spent so many months trying to stalk her way back into Roman’s good graces, Kaeileen was trying her best to avoid him. She refused to come to this family gathering when Lucy had confirmed that Roman would be there, and she’d freaked out when Lucy picked up Theo after school when Abe had been at home sick. Lucy didn’t know what to make of this development. All that Kaeileen would say on the subject was that she’d seen something in Roman, something dark. Since her eyes had been freed of the red colour they’d been stuck with, Kaeileen looked terrified when Lucy’s co-workers dropped by.

It would have been nice to have Kaeileen with her, but Lucy could make her own fun. With a new boyfriend being brought to meet the family, Lucy had several schemes up her sleeve to see if he’d fit in with their strange little family. If he didn’t, this boyfriend didn’t stand a chance against Lucy.

“Nathan!” Elaine leapt from her seat beside Abe to welcome her youngest son home and Abe breathed a sigh of relief when she did.

“Hi Mom,” Nathan laughed, hugging his mother when she engulfed him in her arms. He couldn’t remember the last time she’d made such a big deal of him coming home. Absence apparently really did make the heart grow fonder.

“Where’s your last report card?” Elaine demanded, focusing her questioning from one son to the other. “How are you doing for money? Is this boyfriend serious or just a passing fling? Who are his parents? What is his grade average? Are you using protection? Please be more careful than your brother and sister.”

“Thanks, Mom,” Abe grumbled as he approached his brother. “If you can remember anything about my life past the last two weeks, you’ll remember that I made it through university without another kid. It’s Roman and Lucy you should be judging, not me.”

Abe hugged his little brother while their mother scowled at Abe.

“Just ignore Mom, I’m sure you’re doing fine in school,” Abe said. “Have fun while you can before your life is just work, changing diapers and planning a budget. University is for finding yourself, and deciding who you want to be, not worrying about GPAs.”

“Uh, thanks,” Nathan replied. He had never received this much attention from his family before. His mother was always stern and distant, while his brother was always too busy moving from disaster to disaster in his own life to take notice of his little brother. Suddenly reappearing after moving out seemed to be the trick to getting his family to notice him.

“Where’s Nickolas?” Abe asked, looking towards the door expectantly. “You two never go anywhere without each other. He was invited, and his mom is with the Durants today if he was trying to avoid her or something.”

“I’m not twelve anymore Abe,” Nathan retorted. “I have a life outside of my friend, which you’d know about if you had any friends of your own. Aside from Roman’s friends who just tolerate you for his sake.”

Abe was stunned into silence by his brother’s words. He hadn’t paid much attention to Nathan because of his own drama, but he’d never realized how much of a jerk Nathan had become. It seemed to Abe like he was the only child who took after their father in their personality. Nathan and Lucy were just as blunt and uncaring as their mother, despite all their complaints about Elaine.

“Hey Abe.”

Abe turned to acknowledge the other person in the room, Nathan’s new boyfriend. Between his mother’s mini inquisition and Nathan’s rudeness, Abe had completely forgotten about their guest of honour. For some reason, his voice sounded a little familiar.

“Garth?” Abe gasped as his brain began to piece together just why this mystery man didn’t seem so mysterious to him.

“Gareth,” the man corrected, still smiling even though Abe had clearly forgotten his name. “It’s nice to see you again. Campus isn’t the same without you and your sister. It’s much more boring.”

“You’re dating my little brother?” Abe asked slowly, unsure if this was all just a prank Lucy or Nathan was pulling on him. It did seem mean spirited enough to be entertaining to his siblings.

He had had a fling with Gareth a long time ago, when Gareth and his friend invited him to join their secret society. Abe hadn’t cared much for the secret society though and after hooking up with some of its members he’d gone right back to pining for Roman. Still....

“Nathan, has he told you that we used to go out together?” Abe asked warily. He didn’t want to cause drama in front of his mother, but there was no way that he could carry on the charade of pretending he didn’t know Gareth either. Better to drag this out in the open before his brother’s heart got broken.

“If by go out, you mean that you had disappointing casual sex with him and a bunch of other guys, then yes,” Nathan replied. There wasn’t any sign of malice or jealousy in his voice, but Abe could see that Nathan was enjoying the awkwardness of this situation as much as Lucy was sure to. This was just what he needed. A second Lucy to poke at sensitive subjects for fun.

“Abraham!” Elaine’s only reaction to this news was to immediately scold Abe for something that had happened a long time ago and when he was single.

“What? I was single and in university! Would you all stop trying to slut shame me for dating a few guys a long time ago?”

“A few guys over the span of a few months, or a few guys at the same party?” Nathan teased ruthlessly. “Because Gareth said-”

“I don’t care what Gareth said!” Abe snapped. “What I do isn’t any of your business! Would you all stop judging me?”

“I hope you told Roman about your sordid past,” Nathan teased with a grin. “I wouldn’t want things to be awkward.”

Abe simply stared at the little brother he apparently didn’t know at all. Lucy would tease Abe and then bask in the chaos she created. Nathan seemed to share her bluntness, but none of the enjoyment she felt. Nathan had been ignored by his family for too long to bother with pleasantries. He was mean only for the sake of being mean.

“He knows,” Abe answered nervously. “I’m pretty sure he knows anyway. I haven’t given it much thought since then, and it was when we weren’t together. I don’t see why he’d care.”

Abe hadn’t given Roman any specific details of who he’d slept with or dated in university, as the mention of him even looking at other guys made Roman seethe with jealously. Abe felt the same way when Roman spoke about Adrian, but there had been only one Adrian, and he wasn’t around to spark Abe’s jealousy. Meanwhile, Abe had more than one ex, and they apparently could just show up unannounced, dating his brother.

Abe felt his stomach twist into a knot. He had been looking forward to seeing his brother again, but now things had gotten considerably more complicated.

My mother was feeling bad yesterday. She has anxiety. It's where I got mine from. I try my best to help her through it, but she always prefers to talk to my cousin, her elder brother's daughter.

My mother was 12 years old when her father died. Her elder brother, my uncle, was 16. As the eldest male in 1970s India, he was tasked with taking care of the family and he did an extremely impressive job. My mother also did really well considering her disadvantages. But it's because my uncle went from delivering milk riding a bicycle every morning to having enough money to buy multiple apartments that my mother sees him as some sort of God and his daughter as some sort of goddess.

Plus they both speak Telugu as a first language while I speak English as a first language — and despite my best efforts to improve my Telugu fluency, I obviously am not going to be as fluent as people who were born and raised in Hyderabad, speaking only Telugu.

So when my own mother is struggling with her mental health, I must watch her express her feelings to my cousin rather than me. I must watch my aunt and cousin comfort her while I go to work.

My father doesn't give a shit about me, I feel. He didn't see me till I was 6 months old. He never wanted to marry my mother, he was forced to enter into an arranged marriage by his parents — my grandparents. He liked my sister a bit because she's his first born and she's brave, fearless, aggressive and sporty, like him. His son on the other hand is an insecure, introverted nerd. My father almost embodies the jock stereotype. He was an excellent sportsman, loves to keep fit, and despises fat people. He literally let thin people destroy his life and career and bears no ill will against them and when overweight people helped him out, he still treats them like crap. I'm morbidly obese, bad at sports, introverted, I find it difficult to deal with people, I'm a nerd and not a believer in traditional masculinity. He kinda hates me for that.

My sister is probably the person I'm closest to, but she's married with kids and thus I would be, at best, #4 on her list of people. In reality, I'm probably more like #10. Also, she lives in the UK and I live in India.

My closest friends are both married and the amount of time they can share with me has plummeted as a consequence. One of them lives in San Francisco, so the time we spend together on the phone is really limited anyway, plus he's successful and surrounded by other successful people. I jokingly refer to myself as Sudama in his presence.

The other lives in India, in Nashik. He had the choice to live in New York, but he chose Nashik. Since his marriage, not only is he fully focused on his wife and indeed her family and friends, who give him royal treatment as the husband of the eldest daughter in the family.

And so I'm now slowly realising that while I do have a wide circle of family and friends, I'm not in anyone's inner circle and I don't have anyone in mine either.

I'm a secondary concern to everyone. An acquaintance to all and a friend to none.

It's a weird feeling to know that your own mother would rather talk to your cousin than you when she's in trouble. That your father would rather spend time with people your age from his work, all of whom basically take advantage of him to extract whatever little money he has left out of him, than be with you. That when you try to make conversation with him, you get grunts and single word replies.

It's all exacerbated by the knowledge that you didn't let people get close to you because you had bigger goals in life. You had dreams, hopes, aspirations that all shriveled up and died, leaving you with no friends, no family, no loved ones, no-one to whom you can be vulnerable and nothing to show for it except a smoking habit that will probably kill you in the next year.

Why do I endure? I should just fucking kill myself and get it done with. Except I'm too scared to do that too. And so the pain grows and continues until one day I'll suddenly feel a sharp stabbing pain the chest and collapse. And no-one will be able to take me to the hospital because I'm too fat to be lifted and taken anywhere.

Inside Adam Ruzicka’s breakout, big news for Flames and fans in Slovakia

A toast from home: “Do you know what slivovitz is?" Ruzicka asked, about to introduce a reporter to a plum-flavored brandy that is popular in his native Slovakia. "It’s homemade liquor.” It’s what we do back home; it’s traditional for us. We call it “slivo.” So that’s what they brought me.

“Everyone makes it back home.” They have their own recipes, and everybody does them. “But we just buy it from an older generation because they do it better.”

Ruzicka is looking to replicate the work of the previous generation, but now we’re talking about picking the corners of the net, not picking plums for fermenting.

Their breakout forward is one of just seven Slovaks to appear in the NHL so far this season, quite a drop-off from the days that Peter Bondra, Zdeno Chara, Marian Gaborik, Marian Hossa, and others were starring on the biggest stage.

While Montreal Canadiens rookie Juraj Slafkovsky, the first-overall draft picks this summer, is the star of the emerging crop, Robert Ruzicka is currently tied for the top scorer in this slivovitz-sipping country.

Heading into the matchup against Slafkovsky and the Habs, he has produced 16 points in 18 outings with the Flames this fall. Tomas Tatar of the New Jersey Devils boasts the same total, although he has suited up for 27 games.

Ruzicka, the strapping lad from Bratislava, has become a big story both in Cowtown and 8,000 kilometers away from where he was raised.

"He’s been excellent," praised Craig Ramsay, who spent four-plus decades around the NHL as a Selke Trophy-winning forward and later a Stanley Cup-winning assistant coach and was recruited six years ago to bring his expertise to Slovakia as skipper for the then-struggling men’s national program. "I spend every morning watching NHL highlights, so because of his success, I’ve been able to see him reasonably often.” We’re all very proud of what he’s doing and what he’s accomplishing. Everybody is very thrilled about him.

“People follow what’s going on.” In the mornings, before I can even watch the highlights, sometimes they tell me if one of our guys got a point if they played if someone was called up, etc. It’s a big deal over here what he’s doing and what all our kids are doing, and it’s very important for the country. And for me, it’s important because I see the possibility now that the younger players can look at someone like Adam and strive to be that. “It’s not an easy thing for a young man, but it’s part of the job, if you know what I mean, to be a role model.”

The 23-year-old Ruzicka, who collected an assist in Saturday’s 5-4 overtime loss to the Maple Leafs in Toronto, seems to embrace that part of it. "There are a lot of guys to look at," he pointed out. "Hossa just put a jersey up there in the rafters and is a Hall of Fame guy.” Chara just ended his career. There are a lot of guys to look at and a lot of legends to play, and I obviously want to follow in their footsteps. “There’s a big gap between them and us, who just got into the league, so we want to be the same for the next generation as well."

At the start of this season, when Ramsay was catching up on the highlights each morning, he was rarely spotting Ruzicka. Buried on the depth chart at center, he couldn’t crack Calgary’s lineup. He was scratched for 10 of the first 11 games.

Opportunity knocked when Jonathan Huberdeau was hobbled by a swollen foot, with Ruzicka getting a glimpse as the Flames’ first-line left-winger. He ran with it, and No. 63 remains a fixture on the flank from a top-nine perch.

“Rosy,” as he is known around the locker room, has since notched six goals and 10 assists. He is averaging a team-best of 0.89 points per game. (Elias Lindholm is second in that category, at 0.82 P/G.)

Ruzicka’s parents planned their recent visit around a five-game homestand and were able to see their son in a prominent role, including a spot on the second power-play unit.

“What I saw right away from him is that he was willing to compete.” He’d compete no matter what else was going on, and he wasn’t intimidated by anything. As important as these games were to the country, nothing bothered him. “He just came to play, and that was awesome.”

“But now they have big expectations.” “I was doing a poll on my Twitter account with 1,000 respondents, and they think that Ruzicka will have the most points this season from Slovak players in the NHL.”

“I try not to look at media, you know?” Ruzicka said. “It just gets in your head a little bit sometimes, so I don’t look at it at all.” Yeah, there are a lot of messages and a lot of attention right now, but I don’t want to look.

“You don’t want to get ahead of yourself.” Whatever is happening right now, you want to keep it going.

That approach, he believes, has been key to his success over the past several weeks. That, and perhaps the slivovitz?

"No, not the slivo," Ruzicka protested with a smile. "Just slivo once in a while." A well-deserved toast from home.

i can’t believe i’m going to have to repeat the roxy situation 😥 i fall in love with the spouse sim and then have to drop them from the family 😭 i really hope the macmahons aren’t destined to be a lineage of single dads. but hey, at least he can have a friend in the house.

i literally hate this because not only does theo need to stay single, i need to come up with a plausible reason for him to end up with with two kids and no partner. i have my ideas though, sorry theo, it’s not gonna be good for you 😭 gen two is gonna be a roller-coaster the way i have it planned out.

primary career: politician

yep, this couldn’t have gone any better to be fair. really suits him i think, and he’s got the grades to get a distinguished degree in history! if all goes wrong for poor old theo this gen, at least he’ll be rolling in cash.

secondary career (helper’s career): professional gamer

bruhhh this is the ideal career for corey to come live with him 😭 basic plot summary of gen two: a politician and a twitch streamer who’ve been best friends since high school have to raise two kids without any assistance. they might have money but they barely have an ounce of childcare knowledge between them. sounds like the plot of a bad sitcom, and i’m totally here for that.

i also just want to say something really quick. i started posting this legacy at the start of the year when things got really tough for me, a lot of bad things were happening and each day seemed to be worse than the last. but, ever since i came to simblr i’ve felt like i had an escape from all that! a big thank you to everyone whose made me feel so welcome, this has been so much fun, and i plan to keep going for a long while! i’m so happy and excited that people like the legacy 🥺 so thank you so much for all your support 💖💖💖

if carlisle and dumbledore were put in each other's respective stories / dilemmas , how do you think they would react? how would a carlisle cullen have dealt with voldemort/grindelwald? and how dumbledore would have dealt with vampirism, etc? i almost view the two of them as a sort of foil to each other, not yet able to articulate why or how though

I mean, they'd live completely different lives, because they're completely different characters. It's very unlikely they'd end up in the same situations.

But alright.

Carlisle is Dumbledore

Carlisle's born in a working class family that quickly begins to fall apart. His father's sent to prison, his mother dies, his sister has a chronic illness that will never disappear, and it's just him and his brother left with very little chance of a future between them.

Handsome Gellert Grindelwald moves in next store with grand, new, ideas concerning the muggles.

Now, this particular Carlisle won't be Christian, he's a pureblood wizard and we can pretty safely assume that the Dumbledores were no more religious than any other wizarding family is.

It's a little up in the air whether Carlisle would be seduced by Gellert or not. Gellert is learned, foreign, and has all these radical, new, theories that weren't very prevalent at the time (well, anti muggleborn sentiment was, the facism was new). On the other hand though, Carlisle is also a man who once radically changed his own beliefs to something that went against nearly every edict of his previous religion. This is not a guy who takes things for granted and is not afraid to both confront himself and the true nature of the world he lives in.

And he has a deep respect for human life that, had it been any lesser, would have undoubtedly led to him eating humans as a vampire.

So, I'm going to say no, or if he does, it lasts up until Gellert says, "We should totally make the muggles our slaves." The muggles may have irreparably damaged Carlisle's sister, they may be hated by society, but they are free thinking beings who should be enslaved to no one. Carlsile raises his pacifism flag.

As a result, Gellert probably thinks he's a tool. Hot, of course, and intelligent, but a useless tool. Without somebody to bounce ideas off of/confirm his radicalization, Gellert has little to no interest in Carlisle or any of the Dumbledores. Gellert spends his time in Godric's Hollow then goes elsewhere, Ariana lives, at least for now, unclear how long her lifespan was going to be otherwise, Carlisle does not have the Gellert incident, and he and Abeforth remain on good terms.

Carlisle graduates Hogwarts and either is a) bullied into taking Flamel's apprenticeship opportunity by Abeforth who screams "DUDE, GET YOURSELF A FUTURE or b) immediately sets about trying to find a relatively high paying job so he can support the family. In the case of B, I imagine he goes to work for the goblins who seem to hire those straight out of Hogwarts with good enough grades. In the case of A, well, he goes to study alchemy.

Knowing Carlisle, he does a bastardization of both. He studies alchemy under Flamel and then works nights as a bartender in Paris or something to that effect. When he finishes, what career he does then is out in the air.

Given that, as a vampire, he had all the choices in the world open to him in terms of education (and tried many different things) before eventually settling on and sticking with human medicine despite the dangers, I think that's telling. Carlisle probably tries to get a job in something healing related.

However, that strays more into the "What if Carlisle was in the wizarding world" vs. "What if Carlisle was Dumbledore" so we'll say that the idea of teaching appeals to him and he returns to Hogwarts for the Transfiguration position.

This all goes well except then there's a first world war on, the muggle world goes completely insane, and no one understands why Carlisle's so upset.

And now we enter the world where Carlisle starts really making choices in Dumbledore's shoes.

First, Tom Riddle. Carlisle, I imagine, makes 100,000 times of a better impression than Dumbledore on the young Tom. He does not, for one, light his wardrobe on fire and threaten him. Carlisle might think this kid is weird, but he lives in poverty and an orphanage, much of his behavior can be explained from that. I imagine Carlisle becomes determined to take Tom under his wing.

I imagine at first Tom thinks this is excellent, LOOK HOW MUCH HE'S MANIPULATING THIS ADULT! And then he realizes that, no, Carlisle is perfectly aware he's a little shit. He just likes talking to Tom after classes about how to fit in with pureblood society/weird esoteric muggle philosophy.

Trouble is, Carlisle is so damn likeable (see his friends all over the world), that Tom can't help but like him. When the Blitz begins, and Carlisle undoubtedly offers Tom (and any other muggleborn who was not moved to the country) a place to stay, that seals the deal, the wizarding world might suck but Carlisle's a pretty cool guy.

Of course, Tom still thinks the government should be reformed or overthrown, but he and Carlisle actually sit down to talk about things like communism and facism (Carlisle's not a fan though the modern, muggle, form of democracy not practiced in the wizarding world is a weird concept to him).

My point being, it's unlikely this Tom Riddle becomes Voldemort or even really aspires to become him. You want more on that topic, check out these posts.

Grindelwald meanwhile, becomes a bigger and bigger deal, and things start looking... bad. However, it's not immediately obvious that Carlisle's the one who should do something about it. He's not a duelist, he's a professor, and his job is to teach the children. He may have been alright in school, but that was decades ago now. More, unlike Albus, he feels no personal responsibility, he knew Gellert, briefly, yes, but they had no real connection. Gellert spoke about insane things and Carlisle said, "Mm, don't like". Add to that that Carlisle's a pacifist, he's going to insist that someone trained for the position do the job.

Given canon, this means that Grindelwald likely invades and takes over wizarding England and, with a strong enough foothold, enacts his "enslave the muggles" plan. Which very well might result in a nuclear holocaust as Grindelwald was likely not keeping up with muggle technology and the muggle world war.

The muggle world collapses, which in turn causes society collapse, and the world may or may not be a nuclear wasteland that Tom and Carlisle get to wander around.

If Carlisle by some divine intervention has a prophetic dream of "YOU MUST DEFEAT GRINDELWALD OR DOOM DOOM DOOM" then he goes and tries to defeat Grindelwald. Considering Grindelwald has the elder wand, he probably needs Deus ex Phoenix to win, but if it worked for Dumbledore it might work for Carlisle.

Well. No one saw that coming.

Carlisle's an overnight sensation and a national hero, the hero of Western Europe even. He's suddenly being presented medals, honors, seats of power, and Carlisle desperately tries to refuse, feeling very squeamish that he's being given these things because he took it upon himself to murder another human being (yes, even a war lord).

Tom finds this funny and Abeforth is ureservedly proud and tells everybody.

All Carlisle wanted to do was teach children and now he has to reside over trials in the Wizengamot. This is terrible.

As for what happens to the wizarding world from there, well, inertia probably carries it along for a good while. However, antimuggleborn sentiment is still on the rise an even without Voldemort I imagine there's quite a bit of unrest.

I imagine Carlisle, not wanting in any way to be a political figure, is not nearly as outspoken as Dumbledore on anything. He just wants to be headmaster, guys, leave him alone.

Tom may or may not go into politics and do it for him. But he probably ends up teaching too and just laughs as the country collapses.

Harry Potter is an ordinary student who has no prophecy surrounding him. Carlisle did not recruit children to join an illegal resistance movement nor does he have a plethora of spies and moles in the ministry.

Harry Potter canon does not happen.

Dumbledore is Carlisle

Well, Dumbledore undoubtedly also burned witches and very much believed in their existence. An irony there. He may chase the vampire, probably isn't first in the mob, in which case he remains human or dies.

If he does survive being bitten, I imagine it pains him for a while, but I don't see Albus having the same willpower as Carlisle. Or at least, not as much, Albus probably ends up eating people. He at first probably tries to be picky and eats those who harm society in some way (pick your poison for what that means) and then over time becomes less picky.

They're just humans, after all.

Albus probably isn't invited to stay in Volterra, he's not all that interesting. He doesn't become a human doctor, he's just your ordinary vampire. He might hang around libraries as much as he can but that's about as far as that extends.

He probably turns a Gellert equivalent at some point as a mate and they have a grand time together.

Edward is never turned nor the rest of the Cullens and Bella dies in a parking lot.

Omega!Narutoverse Future Family Headcanons

This is a compilation of my headcanons about future families for my favourite Naruto boys (excluding Kakashi who is childfree in my headcanons.)

This is very long, so I’ve put most of it under a cut <3 Enjoy~

Naruto: : 4 children – Son (omega), adopted daughter (alpha), twin sons (betas).

Has his son about four years before he becomes Hokage.

His son is a huge daddy’s boy type and clings to Naruto every chance that he gets.

Naruto never lets his role as Hokage take him away from his son any more than absolutely necessary. Does he take his son into his office? Absolutely. He puts down a little play pen on the floor while he works :’).

His son loves cuddles so much and he is so gentle.

He doesn’t like pranks though which makes Naruto a little sad but he would never do anything to make his little one sad.

Male omegas can be identified from birth, so you both knew he was, but even if you didn’t it’s very obvious. He makes his own little nest next to Naruto’s but ends up crawling into Naruto’s for cuddles every time.

As he gets older, he attends the academy, but he hates it so much. He reminds me a little of a young Itachi, a pacifist to the core. He doesn’t want to hurt anyone! He begs you and Naruto to let him attend the civilian school, and of course you let him.

Naruto gets a lot of shit for allowing this from some parties *cough* the council *cough*. The Hokage’s children should be powerful ninjas according to them, but Naruto will always prioritise his children’s happiness. Naruto shields his son from the hate as much as possible, but some slips through.

The transition is easier if you are a civilian, your son feels a little more secure if that’s the case, and he would consider following your footsteps depending on what you do. If you run a little business, he would definitely want to work with you. If you’re also a ninja he can feel left out and unsure, but he grows into such a quietly confident person, who starts a little business.

Not being a ninja also means he can be there for his younger siblings. He is a dedicated older brother who is always there for them. He has a room for each other them at his house and loads of medical supplies for when they come back from missions injured and won’t go to the hospital. He always patches them up.

All his younger siblings respect him so much. He is a very reliable person, and his siblings get so offended if they hear any anti-civilian talk from the ninjas they work with.

When Naruto is about a year into working as Hokage, he goes to visit the orphanage, a place that he reformed hugely as soon as he could. It’s so much nicer than it was and he’s so happy.

But there is one girl that he sees there, and she’s being bullied by some of the other kids. At only three years old, Naruto’s heart breaks for her. Turns out that she’s being teased for being a female alpha. Times have changed a lot, but there are still some horrible stereotypes about male omegas and female alphas, even if those aren’t the norm anymore.

He intervenes and wipes away her tears, uncomfortably reminded of his own stay at the orphanage when he was her age. He wraps up the visit and leaves, but he just can’t get here out of his head.

He’s been wanting another child, but he’s still in a vulnerable position so early into being Hokage that he can’t afford the time off for maternity leave.

Hesitantly, he brings up the idea of adoption to you, when you respond positively, he’s like great 😊, I have one picked already.

It’s only about a fortnight later that you’re picking her up and bringing her home. At first, she is very shy and reserved but when she gets comfortable, you learn that she is the opposite.

She’s very forthright and opinionated, she always says what she feels and stands up for injustice.

Her favourite thing is to come home and tell you and Naruto about her day. She never leaves out any detail and has been known to demand to go and see Naruto while he’s working so that she can tell him about something that happened at school.

Naruto ends up unwillingly up to date with all the academy drama.

She’s quite serious and likes to have grown up conversations and sit at the grown ups table.

She ends up attending the academy and she just thrives on all the history and politics lessons! She great at negotiating and learning about people.

She makes strong friends and has a tight knit friendship group that she keeps all the way to adulthood.

She ends up making Chunin pretty quickly but waits a long while before taking the Jounin exam. She ends up specialising in international relations.

She works as an ambassador for Konoha and gets to travel around all the countries. She adores her job, but she does sometimes miss her family. Naruto gets sad when he sends her for long missions, knowing that he can’t come and see her for that time, but there’s no one he would trust more to act on behalf on Konoha and she always brings back souvenirs for everyone.

The twins are quite a bit younger than the other two. Six years younger than their older sister, and eight years younger than their older brother.

In a better position now, Naruto wants to try for one final child.

Of course, you get twins.

It takes a bit of re-planning, but Naruto is overjoyed at the fact that he’s pregnant with twins! He gives birth to identical twin boys. You can’t tell from birth whether a baby is a male alpha or male beta, and they end up showing signs of being betas when they’re about 12.

These boys are little troublemakers, and Naruto rejoices and finally having some of his children who likes pranks like he does!

They excel at strategy and trap making when they join the academy but the oldest struggles a little with the more academic side.

Naruto is so patient in helping him because he knows what it’s like to be a physical learner in an academic environment.

They are the babies of the family and they get away with everything haha.

When they end up graduating, they are put on the same genin team and they continue to work together for their entire careers. They are similar to Izumo and Kotestu. They know each other so well and both have complimentary skills, so they make a formidable duo on the battlefield.

Naruto hates sending them on dangerous missions though. If they ever didn’t come back, I don’t think Naruto would recover, knowing that he sent them to the place that they died.

These two also definitely take on a genin team when they first get promoted to jounin, and they’re great teachers! I can’t decide if they would have one together, or if they would have one each and compete in ridiculous challenges like whose genin team can get the most d ranks done in one day.

They remind people of Kakashi and Gai in a lot of ways.

Sasuke: 1 child – daughter (beta).

Sasuke has a daughter in his late twenties, after he’s had some time to deal with his trauma.

He’s undeniably in a better place but he struggles badly with PPD, making the first year very difficult on your family.

Eventually things get better though, and you work together to raise your daughter.

She is wicked smart, very much into scholarly things, but she also loves weapons, particularly any sort of blade. Sasuke teaches her how to use a sword and they bond a lot over it.

She’s pretty quiet and withdrawn, preferring to read a book or practice with her weapons than socialise. Sasuke tries to get her to make more friends but she calls him out on being a hypocrite and he’s so offended that he drops the issue.

She does well in the academy but she lowkey hates going. She likes going more if either you or Sasuke are there to pick her up and walk home with her, she doesn’t like walking home alone because the Uchiha compound is so damn far away and isolated.

When she awakens her sharigan when she’s a chunin, Sasuke has a pretty bad reaction. The sharigan isn’t associated with anything good in his mind, so he freaks out when his daughter activates it. You need to give him some time and support and he’ll come around. He’s the only one who can train her after all.

Sasuke is so proud of his daughter when she makes Jounin, which of course, she does. I could see her taking on a powerful advisory role for the Hokage as a jounin.

She is someone who believes that there is a lot to learn from history, and is a great advisory asset in helping to avoid past mistakes.

Itachi: Canon = none / Non-massacre Au = 2 children. Son (omega), daughter (beta).

Has a son shortly after you get married.

Itachi is a family man through and through and can’t wait to retire from being a ninja (which he hates) to being able to raise his children full time.

The day Itachi gets moved from the active list to the reserves list after he becomes pregnant is one of the happiest days of his life.

His son is very responsible and serious.

He likes to follow Itachi around and help him clean and cook and run errands. He always tidies up his toys and keeps his room clean, and he almost always behaves respectfully and sensibly.

Itachi never forces him to do too much though, he wants his son to have a fun childhood like he never had.

Itachi is over the moon when his son shows an interest in calligraphy, happy that his son is picking up a healthy hobby.

He buys him all the supplies and gets him a teacher if he wants one. It warms Itachi’s heart to see his son interested in something other than chores for once.

Despite the pressure from the clan for his children to attend the academy, Itachi puts his foot down for one of the first times in his life, saying that his children will only become ninja if they want to.

His son does in fact want to attend the academy.

Itachi kind of wishes he didn’t.

Itachi’s son shows a huge proficiency for fuinjutsu, his calligraphy skills coming in handy. Seeing as the skill is so rare, he becomes one of the leading experts in Konoha.

Itachi is very supportive and lowkey glad that his son is so powerful and can defend himself. Itachi is also very glad that his son can continue with his fuuinjustsu passion long after he retires from being an active ninja.

Itachi hopes that safety net (producing seals for other ninjas and continuing to earn money from his hobby) will mean his son can retire whenever he wants and not have to worry. Rather than becoming stuck in the shinobi lifestyle.

Itachi’s daughter is born five years after his son, an age gap that was larger than he would have liked, but he had a pretty traumatic birth the first time around and he needed to give his body some time to recover.

Itachi puts a lot of emphasis on a loving relationship between his children, and his daughter adores her older brother so much! She follows him around and tries to copy him all the time, and he help her with homework and plays with her.

It makes Itachi very, very happy to see them bond.

Itachi’s daughter is a beta and has everyone wrapped around her finger from the moment she is born.

She’s charming, well spoken, and polite but with a very sarcastic personality.

She has a very similar sense of humour to Itachi actually. A sort of under the breath commentary style. Goodness help anyone who finds themselves opposing Itachi and his daughter.

Academy teachers get put in their place so fast when they join forces, the teachers don’t even know what happened.

As Itachi’s daughter joins the academy, she follows after her uncle and develops fangirls and fanboys… She’s very popular. Very popular.

And she loves it.

Itachi is not as fond.

He is not above staring coldly at children for badgering his beloved daughter.

When she grows up, she works as a ninja, favouring a more jack of all trades kind of style. She likes to learn a little bit of everything.

She’s the same way with relationships too. She never gets married or mated, preferring casual relationships and has no interest in children, she lives her life doing whatever she wants with whoever she wants.

Itachi is very proud of her, and secretly very amused when his clan constantly tries and fails to control her.

Shikamaru: 1 child – daughter (alpha)

Shikamaru has a child at about 25, and he knew from the get-go that he was a one and done kind of guy.

He’s not a fan at all of the infant stage and does not want to do it more than once.

The Nara clan have a very high proportion of alphas, so Shikamaru kinda expected his child to be one. And lo and behold she was.

His daughter is the spitting image of him in every way. She is the most mellow alpha ever. So much so that most people assume she’s a beta, and she doesn’t really care enough to correct them about it.

She is also very close to her grandparents, who dote on her and spoil her as much as they can.

She excels at school in the same way her father did before her, retaining average marks despite being miles ahead of most of her peers.

Shikamaru teaches her how to play shogi and all about the beauty of napping. She takes to them both like a duck to water. She is so much like Shikamaru that everyone comments on it constantly.

Although, while she loves a good cloud gazing session with her father, she actually takes to creative writing as her favourite hobby. She uses a pseudonym to avoid attention, but she ends up writing a series of books that becomes one of the most popular book series in the shinobi nations.

Shikamaru is so insanely proud that his daughter can have both a successful ninja career and a successful hobby/side career. He brags to anyone who knows her pseudonym constantly, including you and his parents.

He also keeps a set of first edition, signed copies of all her books. He reads them when she’s away on long missions sometimes, as a way of feeling closer to her.

Shikamaru and his daughter remain incredibly close all their lives.

Shino: 1 child – daughter (omega)

Shino had a child slightly later than most of his friends, at around 34.

Shino’s daughter is a very curious child! She’s quiet and withdrawn around strangers but very talkative with her family and close friends.

Her favourite place to be is on Shino’s lap. And when around strangers, she always hides behind him, or buries her face into his shoulder.

Shino loves to spend time with his daughter outside. He teaches her all about insects and plants, leading her around the woods after when she can still barely walk.

Shibi does the same with her, and those two are very close.

Shino is fiercely protective of his daughter, and never forces her into doing things she isn’t comfortable with. He defends her right to be quiet and clingy, and it takes some convincing to get him to understand that she needs to make friends outside of her immediate family.

When she cries for anything, Shino gives in straight away, as long as she isn’t wanting to do anything extremely dangerous. Because of this, she develops quite the sweet tooth, having had as many cookies as she wanted as a child.

Shino’s daughter ends up teaching at the academy as a career chunin, because despite being shy around adults, she is fantastic with children, very patient and understanding.

Shino is very happy with her choices, because he was a little worried that she would end up scarred from a shinobi career, and he hates any situation in which he can’t protect her.

She has her own children pretty young, and Shino is just a good a grandfather as he is a father.

Neji: 2 children – adopted daughter (beta), adopted son (alpha)

Neji is about 30 when he decides he wants to try to have a baby.

And he’s 32 when he finally comes to terms with the fact that he isn’t going to be able to conceive naturally because of the suppressant abuse he endured as a child.

Then, tragically, one of the branch members of his clan dies giving birth. Her mate can’t handle the stress and dies shortly afterwards, leaving their two-year-old daughter and newborn son behind.

Dying after a mate dies is not super uncommon but is much rarer in the cases where children are involved, so this exact situation doesn’t happen very often.

His heart breaks for them and he is close to begging you to adopt them with him.

And soon enough you have two children, siblings, and both Hyuugas like Neji.

You would never forget Neji’s face when he held his children for the first time. He would never let them be branded with the seal that has impacted his life so much. He would sooner run away from the clan forever.

Neji’s daughter takes a little while to adjust to her new parents, still distraught and grieving over the loss of her previous parents.

Neji understands and gets her a therapist, but he finds it difficult to watch his child suffer.

The first time she crawled into bed with you and Neji after a nightmare, Neji cried because she was finally starting to trust you both.

Neji’s daughter is a beta and when she recovers from her childhood trauma, she shows her true colours as a limelight lover!

She loves acting and dancing and singing whenever and wherever she can. She plans little plays for you and Neji, sitting you down to perform them for you every weekend. Neji is very proud!

But he doesn’t really know what to do when his daughter says she doesn’t want to be a ninja.

He loves and supports her, of course, but he’s thrown off, not really expecting it.

Eventually, he agrees to send her to a civilian school, and she immediately flourishes there, making so many friends, even starting a little after school performance style club.

Neji is so incredibly proud when she makes it as a famous actress. He lowkey brags constantly to his friends.

“Oh, your child just got promoted to chunin? How lovely. My daughter made more money this year than any chunin will see in their life…” Sips tea.

Neji’s daughter is so glamourous and outgoing and famous, but she never forgets her family, and loves to spoil you, Neji and her younger brother with her money.

Neji’s son doesn’t remember his biological parents and fits into your family seamlessly from day one. As far as he’s concerned, you and Neji are his only parents.

Just like his older sister, this boy is very extroverted, but rather than singing all the time, he talks. He’s the chattiest person you could ever meet.

Introverted Neji isn’t 100% sure about how to parent such extroverted children, he just doesn’t understand that they don’t enjoy too much solitary activity time.

He’s feels a lot better if you’re an extrovert, that way, he can have some alone time to recharge while you handle the children.

If you’re also an introvert… well, let’s hope Hinata was serious about her babysitting offer.

Neji’s son talks to everyone as I already mentioned, and adults think he is the cutest thing ever.

As he grows up, he always helps old people carry their shopping, he helps lost children find their parents, he is basically the alpha every parent dreams of their omega child bringing home.

He’s very charming and Neji is a lot less surprised when his son says he doesn’t want to be a ninja.

Eventually ends up working in the orphanage.

The children adore him so, so much, and he loves his job dearly.

Neji brags about him too.

“Wow, your child got top marks in the academy? My child was hand-making birthday gifts for some children at the orphanage when he was 11. He decided to do it all by himself…” sips more tea.

Whenever she’s in Konoha, his older sister turns up and gives all the kids at the orphanage gifts. She’s like a fun, rich aunt for all of them.

Neither of Neji’s children have children of their own, as they find their respective careers to be the most fulfilling thing for them.

Neji is a very proud father and is happy when his children are happy.

Iruka: None, or 2 children (he’s happy with either) – adopted son (omega), adopted daughter (omega)

Iruka would be happy with no children because he’s so dedicated to his work and his students, but he also adores children and wouldn’t mind having some of his own. This is an au in which he decides to have children.

He adopts his son at age 27, pretty soon after the war, choosing to adopt an older child who has less of a chance of being adopted.

A six-year-old omega with a bright smile and loud laugh, Iruka is immediately taken with him. The war had left many orphans, and it was hard on Iruka to walk around the orphanage, knowing he couldn’t adopt them all.

Iruka throws as much love as he can as his new son, taking time off work to bond with him properly, making sure to scent him loads and get him used to his new family environment.

Iruka is thrilled when his son shows a knack for pranks.

He plays the disapproving parent in public, but honestly, he loves it, as long as things don’t go too far.

Iruka’s son is a very kind-hearted person, if a little rambunctious, and he also has a huge nesting instinct.

You knew he was an omega when you adopted him, but it was very clear, nonetheless. He has a permanent nest in his room that he likes to chill in with his friends when they come over (he’s very popular with the other kids in his class.).

When he gets a little older, he goes to the academy, walking to and from every day with Iruka, and develops a passion for medicine when he’s a genin.

He has great chakra control and eventually ends up working full time at the hospital as an adult.

He chose a similar path to Iruka, in that he works as a ninja but is primarily based in the village, rarely leaving on missions.

He makes sure to come home for dinner at least once a week after he’s moved out, no matter how busy the hospital gets.

Iruka is so proud that his son is so talented and selfless, that sometimes it makes him tear up.

Iruka knows that he doesn’t want just one child.

When his parents died, he was all alone and it was horrible for him, so he knows he wants to have two children, so that when you and him die, they’re not alone.

Iruka is very ready to adopt again about two years after he adopted his son.

Iruka found the adoption process so rewarding that he wants to do it again over having a biological child.

He adopts a little girl this time, five years old and also an omega. When Iruka was meeting the children, this girl brought him a paper flower that she had folded as a gift and his heart just melted right then and there.

She fits in perfectly to your family, your son adored her immediately!

With three omegas living in your house now, you were very much outnumbered. It was a common occurrence to find yourself missing all your warm clothes, them having been borrowed and buried inside one of the three nests (minimum) nests in your house.

Iruka’s daughter is a gentle soul, but she is also strong. She appears like an easy target because she is soft spoken and reserved but she has a strong sense of justice and always stands up for herself and others.

When she’s young, she likes the idea of going into medicine like her older brother as she admires and looks up to him, but she doesn’t like the realities of the job very much.

She’s great at chakra control, but the idea of wrangling disobedient, injured shinobi doesn’t appeal to her.

Until one day, on her way home from a friend’s house, she finds an injured stray dog. She brings it home and begs you and Iruka to keep him. So, your family of four turns into a family of five, and she becomes obsessed with veterinary medicine.

As an adult, she ends up working at the veterinary clinic in the Inuzuka compound. She is committed to helping as many animals as she can, with a particular soft spot for dogs.

She also joins the rest of her family for dinners at least once a week. Iruka is so overwhelmingly proud that he has two medic children, because he knows how talented you have to be to do that.

He is also very happy that both his children stay mostly within the village. The war made Iruka a little paranoid, and he doesn’t worry so much when his children are safe within the village walls.

Gaara: 2 children – daughter (alpha), son (alpha)

Gaara has his children the youngest out of everyone his age that he knows. He had his daughter when he had just turned 21, and his son five years later when he was 26.

His daughter is Gaara’s sweetheart.

He adores her so much and spends as much time as he can with her. He is so gentle with her and loving all the time.

Gaara’s daughter is very energetic and playful, but also quite sensitive.

She loves positive attention, loves to play with everyone who will engage with her.

She’s a very family-oriented person and loves spending time with Kankuro and Temari when you and Gaara are busy.

However, because you, Gaara, Temari and Kankuro always treated her so gently, she was quite sensitive to people being angry or shouting at her.

Once, her teacher at school shouted at her for talking in class and she ran straight to the Kazekage’s office crying. Gaara was furious. He hates when his children cry, so much. He let her stay with him for the rest of the day to calm her down, sending you a message to let you know he was looking after her.

Gaara’s daughter visited him constantly, often bringing little lunchboxes of food for him, learning to new recipes constantly.

Trying to surprise him, she develops a great skill in cooking.

She decides, in the end, not to follow the shinobi route. She opens her own restaurant in Suna, charming customers with her amazing hostess skills and phenomenal cooking.

She allows all her family to eat for free, but they all pay anyway, because they love to support her. Gaara, especially, always leaves a huge tip for her and her staff.

Gaara’s son is born five years after his daughter, another alpha, leaving Gaara very outnumbered, with both his siblings, his mate and his children all being alphas.

Gaara’s son is very quiet and tactile.

He loves cuddles and hugs but doesn’t speak very much.

He enjoys spending time with Gaara in Gaara’s nest, despite not having nesting instincts of his own.

Gaara’s son is very close to you and Gaara. He always tells you when something is bothering him, and although he doesn’t speak much, he chooses his words carefully and they always mean something.

He actually excels at shinobi school, both in academics and in sparring, and moves up the ranks quickly. He spends a lot of time training with Kankuro and gets into puppetry.

Even when he becomes a jounin, he spends time with Gaara in his nest, still loving physical affection.

Gaara enjoys hosting family gatherings for everyone, his daughter cooks loads of dishes for it, his son makes sure to take time off missions to attend, and sometimes Temari drags Shikamaru to Suna as well to join them all.

Gaara smiles more often than not now, feeling so proud of the life he crafted for himself, and the family he worked hard to create.

Do you have any headcanons for what the lives/careers of the Hoenn/Galar rivals would look like once they’re older? Thank you very much for your writing, it is always a joy to read!

Brendan follows his father’s footsteps and researches Pokémon, although he never quite becomes a full-fledged professor; he’s too interested in too many things to take on just one title. Since he owns so many Pokémon, he dabbles in contests as he fills out his dex; he also becomes known as the local HM guy, because he’s always around to help people out with a Cut or Surf or Rock Smash if they need it.

May is, in my mind, a catcher. She’s interested in seeing and owning as many Pokémon as possible. She seems the type to struggle with settling on a single dream, so like Brendan, she’ll try everything; contests are always fun, and she’s good at them, but she’s constantly going on breaks when they’re no longer exciting. She just loves to travel and explore as long as she can.

Wally continues to travel for as long as possible. In canon he at least gets to Alola, but I like to think he gets to see the entire world; now that he’s left his childhood illness behind, he’s determined to get as far as he possibly can. While he never grabs a Champion title for himself, he is offered Gym Leader positions in several regions— and the only one he’ll accept is an offer from Petalburg, when Norman finally retires.

Hop does fairly well with his newfound dream; he’s not super confident in himself as a professor, but he excels at it better than he ever thought he could. The fact that he can hold his own in battle really helps— he’s able to get through a lot more fieldwork than most of his associates. Conferences are held annually, and the other professors are always looking forward to more of Hop’s stories and discoveries.

Bede and his hatred of losing manage to keep the Ballonlea gym in the major leagues for decades. Despite his attitude never really mellowing out, he takes a lot of young trainers under his wings; Rose adopted him first, and then Opal helped raise him later, so the notion is just buried deep inside his chest. Whether he can admit to it or not, he has to provide for kids who share his unfortunate story.

Marnie originally had no interest in the role of Gym Leader, so after a few years she does step down from the position, although her love of Spikemuth never fades. Personally, I think she’d do very well as something like an event coordinator; she spends a lot of time arranging events and attractions in the hopes of revitalizing her beloved town. Naturally, her brother and Team Yell are at her command as well.

Domestic Aizawa x Reader Headcanons

Warnings: Mostly fluff, some soft angst, topics of mental health, and a (brief) mention of kids (discussion/planning/safety).

Word Count: 998

🖤 Aizawa will absolutely make you stay in bed with him when he gets a day off. He will just want to snuggle and rest with you all day, having quiet little conversations beneath the covers.

🖤 On days that he has to be up before you (which is most days), he will make coffee (or tea, your choice) for the both of you, leaving you a fresh cup in the microwave to keep it warm.

🖤 Will also leave you little “I love you” sticky notes around the house for you to find randomly when he’s not home. On the mirror in the bathroom when you’re brushing your teeth, on your mug that’s sitting in the microwave, on you binder…

🖤 Can cook, but doesn’t do it often; saves it for special days like birthdays, anniversaries, or if you’ve texted him that you’ve had a particularly grueling day at work.

🖤 He’s not super messy, but he’s not super clean either. Sometimes leaves dirty clothes on the floor, dishes in the sink, and his paperwork on the table.

🖤 He WILL help out with chores, though. You cook, he washes dishes or vice versa depending on the situation. He’ll take out the trash and vacuum. Will even run a load of laundry, although he might need reminding sometimes.

🖤 Loves laying in your lap after a hard day and having his hair played with. 10/10 will fall asleep on you.

🖤 Will melt if you give him a shoulder/neck massage after having a particularly active day of hero work, but might be less receptive to this if he’s in an emotionally dark place. If that’s the case, cuddles and gentle pets are probably better for him. Don't ask any questions or try to get info out of him... just be there for him.

🖤 Loves to sit and just… watch you sometimes. You’ll be writing something, reading something, playing on your phone, doing chores or whatnot. You’ll look up and just so happen to catch him watching you over his own paperwork, his dark eyes soft. Won’t even bother to look away when you catch him, too. He’ll just raise an eyebrow at you and engage in a staring contest as he sips his coffee until you either look away embarrassed or come over to plant a kiss on his lips. If you do choose to look away, then he’ll set his things down and come get that kiss from you himself.

🖤 Will also love it when you snuggle against him, whether it be on the couch or in bed.

🖤 He’ll read to you sometimes if he finds something interesting or amusing. A news article, a section from a book he’s enjoying, or even his student’s more entertaining papers.

🖤 If you like to sing, he loves to hear it. Doesn’t matter if your singing is good or not… just hearing your voice around the house makes him feel warm and content.

🖤 Would totally want to own multiple cats with you. Would probably get one for Christmas and say it’s for you, but really you both know it’s for him…

🖤 He’ll wake up from nightmares sometimes, and in those moments he needs nothing more than to be held by you so he can listen to your steady heartbeat as he tries to calm his own. Will likely need to stay up a little bit afterward, probably watching some late-night TV in bed.

🖤 He’ll be there for you too, of course, at least on the nights he’s able to be home. He’s excellent emotional support; he’ll want to know just how to hold you, how to take care of you, and will know just what to say that will support you in the best way possible. He’s not a huge talker, but when he does, he chooses his words carefully and they always land right where they’re supposed to.

🖤 He has a very open, honest communication style. Trust is huge for him, and is the most important gift he can give to you. In general, relationships are a Big Deal for him, and his standards are high - he takes his role as your partner very, very seriously and expects the same from his partner. No tolerance for drama and dishonesty.

🖤 Opening up may be hard for him sometimes, especially if it has to do with the darker, more violent side of his career and/or his past. But just be patient with him, let him know you’re there for him whenever he’s ready. Eventually he’ll learn to lean on you and when he does, he’ll wonder how he managed to carry the weight of all of those things without you. But don’t expect him to share everything. He cares about you and will choose to stay silent on certain things if he knows they’re triggering for you. Besides, he knows that while you want to support him as his partner, you’re not his therapist. There are health services in place for heroes who find themselves struggling with mental health, and he would sooner go speak to them rather than burden you with things you can’t (and shouldn’t) handle.

🖤 Keeping you safe is a top priority for him, especially considering his job. If he feels you’re in danger in any way, he’ll do whatever he can to protect you; make sure heroes are situated around your property as guardians or move you to a safe house if necessary. Might even find a way to have you stay at the UA dorms with him, especially on nights that he’s pulling the nightshift there.

🖤 Wants kids, but knows that his job is too dangerous and time consuming for such a responsibility, and his work is too important to him to give up. There would need to be a lot of discussion and a lot of planning before he even begins to consider it. That being said, he will ALWAYS practice safe sex.
